In attempt to help Kouri Richins’ evade Life With Out Parole, her defense team brought in self-described “victim’s advocate” Emery Blanchard into Kouri Richins’ sentencing hearing. Blanchard, who has never met Kouri Richins, implored the court to give Richins a “merciful” sentence. Emery Blanchard’s father, John E. Blanchard was sentenced to 25 years to Life for the murder of Emery’s mother Patricia Ann Coon Blanchard.
