Josh Holmes
So you've all seen by now the results of this socialist uprising. This was a very, very bad week for Senate and House Democratic leadership.
Michael Duncan
Tuesday's primary result really is the socialist Ground Zero mosque when it comes to declaring victory over the Democratic Party.
Josh Holmes
Part of what's happening here is that the Democratic Party has not cast a meaningful primary ballot for president since 2008 and Barack OB. So you have this, all this pent up energy within the Democratic Party and in the base in particular that is
John Ashbrook
spilling out the 2018 squad, which was like Medicare for all is so yesterday, so quaint in the Democrat Party they've gone from Medicare to all to through your hands comes the relief for the believers and the killing of the infidels by the sword that is the Democrat Party.

Washington politicians are always getting in your wallet. Now they're messing with your credit card. Your credit card and the security it offers are under attack. The Durbin Marshall credit card bill would change the nation's payment system to benefit corporate megastores like Walmart and Target at the expense of everyday Americans. Credit cards keep your payments secure and provide rewards that families use to help make everyday purchases more affordable. The Durbin Marshall mandates would let corporate megastores cut corners on credit card processing, routing transactions over cheaper, untested networks with weaker security and fewer protections. That means higher risk of fraud, greater chance of stolen personal data, and the loss of rewards programs just so corporate megastores can pocket billions of dollars in higher profits. Tell Congress to guard your card. Visit guardyourcard.com to take action and learn more.
Josh Holmes
Ladies and gentlemen, your attention.

This program has become one of the
John Ashbrook
most influential podcasts in America. I love the personality. You guys are killing it. I just saw your number one, so congratulations. Thank you.
Josh Holmes
It's an honor and a pleasure to welcome the great Sean Hannity.
Marty O'Donnell
Guys, I love you. Congratulations on all your success. This is why you listen to the Ruthless podcast. Cause nobody else would ask that question. The only political podcast worth listening to
John Ashbrook
is the Ruthless Podcast. It's time for our main event, the Ruthless Podcast.
Josh Holmes
Good to you, boy. Oh my, do we have a show for you to hear today. I am Josh Holmes along with comfortly smug Michael Duncan and John Ashbrook. Left her right across your radio dials. Absolutely. Always here. There are a few times in a few weeks that this job provides more pleasure than others. This is one of those weeks. Turns out there were some contentious primaries that Democrats had to deal with and they're happening frequently all over the country. New York is really providing though a Good overview. There's some Maine that we're having. Platner, of course, he's a reoccurring character here on the Ruthless Friday program. And we'll get to him at some point later on in the week because he's got some new stuff. Never a week goes by, but you
Michael Duncan
know, it's a good show. When we've got better stuff than the planner stuff.
Josh Holmes
We got better stuff than that. So you've all seen by now the results of this socialist uprising that has been happening that we here on the Ruthless variety program have been telling you about, I think, for like two years.
Smug
Yeah.
Michael Duncan
But it's common dribs and drabs. But I think Tuesday's primary results really is the socialists Ground zero mosque when it comes to declaring victory over the Democratic Party.
Josh Holmes
A ground zero mosque. Sure.
John Ashbrook
New York, dude, that's the perfect metaphor. That is 100% what happened. That's what happened here.
Josh Holmes
I think. I think that's right. And it comes ironically and close to a 25th anniversary of 9 11.
John Ashbrook
I don't think it's even ironic. I think it's intentional. The same way Mamdani wants to be there.
Josh Holmes
Yeah.
John Ashbrook
The same way that you've seen his messaging, which. And his entire thing has been, oh, well, you know, we know America's bad and jihad is good. That's been the whole underlying thing. That's why he made these endorsements. That's why these candidates are there. That's why this show is going to be incredible.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah.
Josh Holmes
Let's level set for a second. This was a very, very bad week for Senate and House Democratic leadership, New York leadership, anybody who's in the Democratic Party in a leadership capacity whatsoever. Because as we've discussed ad nauseam on this program, the modus operandi, the preferred method of campaigning is the Abigail Spanberger routine, where you go in as like, well, I work with Republicans and Democrats and I do all kinds of partisan things, and I just understand people and I just want to do what's right. And then they become governors, senators, congresspeople,
John Ashbrook
ban your guns, the Trojan horse approach.
Josh Holmes
And that's the way that they'd like to operate. The problem that they have increasingly is that there's a huge segment of the Democratic Party at this point, the Hamas caucus, that doesn't want to hide the ball. They want to tell you exactly what it is that they're up to. And they came out of the closet here this week to give you all this in Technicolor. Where we want to start, though, is A frequent competitor that we have here on King of the Hill, George Conway. We've played a few clips of this cat in his run for Congress.
Smug
Clean shaven and on the market.
Josh Holmes
Exactly. This is the cat, as you might remember, was married to Kellyanne Conway and lobbied his tush off. Considerable and formidable tush that it was at that stage to become some senior Justice Department official.
Michael Duncan
This was Trump 1.0. Yes. Yeah.
Josh Holmes
And Donald J. Trump is the newly elected president, made a wise decision that he would take a pass on that. And what happened was that George Conway, who had been, you know, one of the most foremost outspoken supporters of President Trump when his wife was running Trump's campaign, decided to go to CNN and become the foremost critic. We all know what happened with all that. We don't need to rehash it. But somewhere along the way, this guy confused people's interest in him. Just talking shit from a interesting backdrop to people actually liking him.
Michael Duncan
Yeah, I'm really glad you put it that way because it's an important lesson for all these never Trump people, these traitors, frankly, who left the Republican Party in the last decade. Do not confuse the RTs for love. They fucking hate you. They loathe you. They think you're cheap, that you would turn on the Republican Party. And they will entertain you all day as long as it helps them attain power. But they don't give a shit about you.
John Ashbrook
Totally. The Never Trumpers, these like, you know, I was a conservative until Donald Trump. The Dems will let you in the House as long as you are a Dems defanged fixed house cat. They want your claws clipped. They want you to sit. They'll let you sit on the couch. They'll be like, he's a good little kitty. Yeah, we took his balls, we took his claws, we took his dignity. But he's a good kitty. So if you ever try to act up, they'll give you the shot. You're done for. That's your role. They don't love you. They don't care about you. That's what happened to George Conway, right?
Smug
As soon as Mom Donnie wins, they put you in a bag and sink you under the water.
Ad Sponsor/Announcer
That's it.
Josh Holmes
Put it another way, an affordable horror. That's it is really what this is. And George Conway decided to put his name on a ballot and put all that to the test. Graphic one, please.
John Ashbrook
Oh, my God.
Marty O'Donnell
My God.
Josh Holmes
For our audio only listeners. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. 5th out of 5 out of 5 on the primary ballot. He lost to a certifiable psychopath.
John Ashbrook
Many of them, actually. But when we highlighted specifically of like, cuz, like, people are like, who the hell is Nina Schwalbe? Can we get that graphic right back? She was the, like.
Smug
She's George Conway's boss.
Josh Holmes
Oh, yeah. Just remember in front of her the other week, throw the clip back up that we played the other week.
Marty O'Donnell
What team are you supporting in the World Cup?
John Ashbrook
Team cdc.
Josh Holmes
Good answer, good answer, good answer.
John Ashbrook
And she even beat George Carney.
Josh Holmes
She beat his ass. And he was basically doubled up by Schlossberg, which is.
John Ashbrook
So Schlossberg is the, like, related to JFK Failson who puts up extremely weird Instagram videos. But the fact that like, I think his mom is Caroline Kennedy.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah.
John Ashbrook
And a big Democrat donor and a friend to all the Democrat old guard. Which is how he got the Nancy Pelosi endorsement. And still got smoked, but still be Conway.
Michael Duncan
But Schlossberg, yeah, he came in a distant, distant third, despite all that name id, the endorsement of Pelosi and everything. I also need to highlight one thing that I saw floating around on social media from his election night party after Schlossberg got his ass kicked. This is reporting from, you know, the. The party. Jack Schlossberg, 33, addressing a room that is mostly full but fairly quiet, jokes that he is the oldest person on his campaign to scattered giggles. It's been an honor of my life to work with this group of people. Reading from a stack of papers, he adds, if we win tonight, or if we don't, we're still in the midst of a corruption crisis. I don't know. Out of nowhere, there must have been a. Something that tested well in the poll.
Josh Holmes
Sure.
Michael Duncan
He then leads a chant of let's go, Jack.
Josh Holmes
No, he led his own.
Michael Duncan
Led his own chance.
Josh Holmes
As if he's jfk.
Smug
Sad from a stack of papers. Oh, he needed to read that.
Josh Holmes
Let's go, Jack.
Smug
Deliver.
John Ashbrook
He's an extremely weird dude.
Josh Holmes
Extremely.
John Ashbrook
And it's hilarious. He got smoked so badly.
Josh Holmes
I mean, so badly. And that's team CDC lady being in the midst of it. And then George. I think it is the case. I don't have these stats in front of me, but I think I read that he spent over $5 million.
Michael Duncan
Get out.
Josh Holmes
Over $5 million, if I'm totaling that up correctly. 4542 votes.
John Ashbrook
My God.
Josh Holmes
He spent over $1 million per thousand votes.
Smug
Like that is.
Josh Holmes
Dude. I don't know how you could run a less effective campaign than that. Like, hey, Buddha, just word of the W like people don't like you. They, they don't like you there. They don't like you here.
John Ashbrook
He spent over a thousand dollars a vote to come into fifth place.
Josh Holmes
It's just a real rough hand of cards.
Smug
Schwalbe was a tough competitor.
Josh Holmes
He's always tough out when I get there.
John Ashbrook
Tim.
Michael Duncan
Cdc.
John Ashbrook
Amazing.
Marty O'Donnell
Thanks.
Josh Holmes
Jesus. I can't even make it up. But we're going to get into the specifics of all of the candidates that you have probably seen as the socialist wing that were elected this week amid opposition by Hakeem Jeffries and the Democratic establishment and their further efforts to try to mask what it is that they're actually trying to do here. Because the specifics, you haven't heard of who these people are. You do know the socialists one. What you don't know is what's underneath that. And we're going to get to all of that in segment two. But there was also something that was happening in Maine. Oh, Maine's got it. They got something going on.
John Ashbrook
Yeah, a lot of problems.
Josh Holmes
It's a lot. It's a lot of problems. So you know more about this than anybody dunks in that. Apparently this guy, Matt Dunlap.
Michael Duncan
Matt Dunlap won the main two Democratic primary. This is part of the ranked choice voting that happened because he, he was in second place in the initial on election night to Joe Baldacci, who was Democrat. Trip endorsed Canada.
Josh Holmes
And Democrats created, as you might remember, this whole ranked choice thing that they've implemented in California and Alaska and other places.
John Ashbrook
And DC Even has it now.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah.
Josh Holmes
As a way to just sort of like keep attempting to rig every election their way. And the way it works generally is that if you don't get a majority support, they start counting second choice and third choice ballots and you keep consolidating the field. So, like, hypothetically, you could have your second choice candidate receive your vote.
Michael Duncan
Right.
Josh Holmes
Instead of the person that you cast a ballot for in the first place. Well, Democrats came in the raw end of the deal on that one because this guy came in second place and then third place, I think.
Michael Duncan
No, he came in second. And then after they eliminated the third place guy on the ranked choice, he ended up winning the election, defeating the DCCC's endorse candidate, Joe Baldacci, the establishment pick.
John Ashbrook
And real quick, for folks who are not familiar with the dccc, Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee is essentially the super PAC that Hakeem Jeffries.
Josh Holmes
It's not a super pac, it's their party committee.
John Ashbrook
It's a party Committee. My mistake. That Hakeem Jeffries controls and is supposed to use to try to get electable.
Josh Holmes
The Span Burger routine. Their whole goal is the Span Burger routine and incumbent protection.
Michael Duncan
So the issue for Matt Dunlap, for them is it sort of reveals like the party's actually run by socialists.
Ad Sponsor/Announcer
Right.
Michael Duncan
Like this Dunlap guy is like a Bernie Bro guy. They're really hesitant to think, you know, that he can win.
Ad Sponsor/Announcer
Win.
Michael Duncan
I mean, he's gonna have to run against Paul LePage, you know, former governor in the state beloved in. In upstate Maine. And so it's like. So, like the D trip is hesitant to weigh in. And they eventually put out this press release days after it's clear that Matt Dunlap's going to be their candidate against their will, congratulating him. The funny part in this thing is let's put up that graphic. This is the path to victory. They're talking about how Matt Dunlap, you actually can win this race.
Josh Holmes
Yeah.
Michael Duncan
And I want to highlight their listener and viewer for you that they mention that he has won statewide twice.
Josh Holmes
Oh, yeah.
Michael Duncan
In Maine. And you're thinking, wow, this guy, he must be.
Josh Holmes
He must be a known quantity, a real contender.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah.
Michael Duncan
Well, turns out he was not elected statewide twice.
Josh Holmes
Then the D trip is putting this out.
Michael Duncan
The D Trip, they're really phoning it in because they didn't want this guy to be the nominee.
John Ashbrook
Thing is so like the two roles that he had was Secretary of state and auditor. Maine. They're selected by the legislature. Right. And this I think is very important. And I'm glad that Duncan pulled this is because again, it shows the level of incompetency at the D trip, the level of incompetency of Hakeem Jeffries, the level of competency, incompetency of all the Democrat establishment, which is allowing this socialist uprising of why they're getting smoked. And again, in Maine, because they should have kind of seen this coming when Platner smoked Schumer's 900 year old candidate. It just keeps happening because their incompetency has created this vacuum for the Hamas. Here's the thing.
Michael Duncan
Oh, go ahead.
Smug
One of the big problems at the D Trip, I feel like, is they just look at the picture that they're given. They don't actually read any of the documents. They just see the picture. And I don't know that we have the picture of this guy to be able to put up on screen, but he's got the horn rim glasses, he looks like an accountant. And you could see some like green visor. You could see some 25 year old at the D trip thinking, yeah, that's an accountant. I saw his picture.
Josh Holmes
Looks like a regular mater.
Smug
I don't need to read the document. But his accounting record is nothing to write home about.
Michael Duncan
Unfortunately, the incompetence of the D trip is only outdone by Matt Dunlap himself.
Josh Holmes
Well, and this goes to the larger issue of who are they sending? Not their best.
Michael Duncan
Not their best because the, the state legislature appoints him as auditor. Right. That's one of the positions that the D trip thought he was elected statewide for. The problem is like he didn't have like the CPA credentials or whatever. The license you're required to have, you're required to have.
Josh Holmes
So the state of Maine requires that someone who is an auditor for the state of Maine is actually a cpa. It goes without, which makes sense.
John Ashbrook
Yeah, makes sense.
Josh Holmes
If you have an attorney general, you want to make sure they have a law degree. If you have somebody who's in charge of your accounting, maybe they should have some accounting background.
John Ashbrook
Yeah.
Josh Holmes
Did he?
Michael Duncan
No,
Smug
he had horn rimmed glasses.
Michael Duncan
The main public wrote about this at the time. He had to take the test. Right? Like you're passing your driving test to get the license.
Josh Holmes
Already been appointed.
Michael Duncan
Yeah.
Josh Holmes
No way.
Michael Duncan
And he failed it twice.
Josh Holmes
Wait, hold on.
Smug
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Failed the account.
Michael Duncan
He failed it twice and then had to go back to the legislature and be like, I gotta resign. I couldn't pass it because there's like a window of time that he's allowed a grace period.
John Ashbrook
This article, it says Matt Dunlop says he passed one of the required accounting tests but failed two others. As soon as he could retake the exams is in 60 days putting him past the nine month window. They gave nine months. They're like, come, just study for the test, bro. Like nine months, dude.
Smug
Here are the answers, just fill them in.
John Ashbrook
You could find the biggest stoner in Maine and they could pass a drug test in nine months. Dumblap can't fire. Can't pass the one damn test he's got to do in nine months. It's incredible. And now he's their candidate, dude.
Josh Holmes
It's also not rocket science, it's the debits and credits.
Smug
Couldn't balance. He couldn't make them balance.
Michael Duncan
No.
Josh Holmes
He's like, hey, man, I got bad news, dude. This job's going to involve math.
John Ashbrook
And the fact that he said it himself, he was like, I passed one, but I keep failing the other.
Josh Holmes
Well, guys, that is a tricky test, as it turns out.
Smug
I don't know if you followed this, but Maine is like a sneaky fraud state.
Josh Holmes
Oh, yeah.
Smug
In the way that Minnesota, California and Ohio have gotten credit for. Maine is like, there is a lot of fraud. Maybe the auditor just was. Didn't.
Josh Holmes
I mean, it's not surprising that Maine Democrats. That Maine Democrats, knowing the harboring of fraud that they've had there, would choose a man who doesn't know math. Yeah, like the last class of math that he took was called math. It's not surprising they would choose him. It's harder to imagine that you could get through the vetting process to the point where they actually appoint you auditor when you don't have the requisite statutory requirements to be that. And they're like, no problem. Matt's a smart guy. Look, look at his bald head, this male pattern baldness and a green visor. What can go wrong in nine months?
John Ashbrook
A monkey could pass this test. They're like, right. Like anybody.
Josh Holmes
Nine months later he shows up.
Smug
Amazing.
John Ashbrook
And like, you know what? Let's run it for Congress.
Ad Sponsor/Announcer
Yeah.
Michael Duncan
He's gonna fix Washington.
Josh Holmes
This guy's gonna fix Washington.
Smug
Maybe the Democrats in the NGO complex in Maine were confident that he was capable of looking the other way.
John Ashbrook
That's. Dude, this is Ashbrook is so right. Because oftentimes the thing is that there are no mistakes in the way that Dems think about this shit. Of they're like, listen, let's just put this idiot there. If the auditor's asleep at the wheel,
Smug
think about how much money we'll make.
John Ashbrook
But also like, that's what the CC. Everybody should focus on that. That is 100%. I bet what happened with this moron
Josh Holmes
dude, it had to have because it's an uncontroversial thing that is unvetted and done in the smoke filled room. Yeah, right. You have a Democratic establishment in Maine who decided that the guy who has no background in the job that he is supposed to do is the guy to do that. And there's not like there's ever gonna be political fallout for that unless the guy like literally can't pass the requisite like bottom line, basement level requirement to do the job. So he has to resign the job and then he decides to run for Congress and he fucking wins. Which is unreal to me.
Michael Duncan
I do think he did eventually pass the test.
John Ashbrook
No, it says he did down the road. And that's what he said. He had to turn the job over to Deputy State Auditor Melissa Perkins.
Michael Duncan
I was in the impression he got it back at some point. I don't know.
Josh Holmes
Well, whatever the case is not competent. I know that you imagine the humiliation
Michael Duncan
involved in that, humiliating.
Josh Holmes
But like, unlike a well adjusted human being, if you were put through something like that, you would never see me again. By the way, if they're like, hey dude, you got past one test or like you're gonna be publicly humiliated, like, I'd figure out how to pass this test.
John Ashbrook
Did Dem stop feeling shame so long ago? Like, this guy shows back up, he
Josh Holmes
wants the public eye. He's like, why aren't you putting out the press release? I guarantee you, by the way, the DCCC that sent out the release, congratulate at great urging from Dunlap. He's like, where's my congratulation statement? It's my time in the sun. It's one of the most competitive districts. Get me out there. Well, Dunlap, this is who they're sending. And to be honest with you, far less objectionable than the people we're about to talk about in New York. But Van Jones over at CNN I think put a pretty good summation on the week that was for Democrats in clip two.
Marty O'Donnell
Do you think Democrats not in New
John Ashbrook
York City should be learning from this?
Josh Holmes
Well, first of all, New York City matters because the two most exciting left wing candidates are here, AOC and Mamdani. But also this is the stronghold for the establishment, Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries. This is a battle between the establishment and this insurgency. And the roof is collapsing on the Democratic Party establishment tonight.
John Ashbrook
Wow. That's it right there. That's it right there. Because like this happened in the backyard of Schumer and Timu Obama.
Michael Duncan
Yeah.
John Ashbrook
And they get the message loud and clear. The reason Schumer has been allowing this insurgency, is he scared AOC is going to take his ass out. And look, it looks like they're gonna take everyone's.
Michael Duncan
And that's the thing is the candidates they are running and the candidates who are winning primaries now make AOC look like Harold Ford Jr.
Josh Holmes
I totally agree, dude.
John Ashbrook
The squad was what, 2018. They're old news now. The new guard has arrived and they're like, no, see, we're gonna just have communism tonight. Yeah, they're like mainstream, like establishment aoc. These guys, like, we're going to go over it. These guys AOC look like Hillary Clinton.
Josh Holmes
That lady goes on Ms. Now, the sellout.
John Ashbrook
Yeah, seriously.
Marty O'Donnell
Seriously.
Michael Duncan
Where's Hasan Piker?
Josh Holmes
Yeah, exactly. No, but for real, we're about to get into any of that. You need to hear what we have coming up next about exactly who it is that they have elected and what the dossier of stuff is that they've. You genuinely won't believe it. You genuinely.
Marty O'Donnell
It just, it's, it's mind blowing.
Josh Holmes
It really is. We're going to get to it right after this.

American energy is growing with a renewed focus on American oil and natural gas. We're rebuilding our industrial strength and driving investment. Energy demand is rising and the United States has the resources to meet it. Here's the challenge. If we can't build the infrastructure to move that energy pipelines, transmission lines and power plants, Americans won't feel the benefits. And while projects stall, China moves faster. Not because America lacks energy, but because Washington's permitting system is outdated and broken. Energy affordability depends on getting energy where it's needed, when it's needed. Yet critical projects remain stuck for years in delays and endless litigation. We have the energy. We have the workforce. Now it's time to build. Let's secure American energy leadership for generations to come. When America builds, America wins. Pass permitting reform now. Learn more@ permitting reformnow.org paid for by the American Petroleum Institute.
Josh Holmes
Okay, so we told you in the first segment that you need to know some stuff. You do need to know some stuff because it's so much worse than people think. They're like, oh, socialists. And what you think of in today's political environment about like a socialist is you're like, oh, they're like the progressive left of the Democratic Party, which is a considerably larger view of government role in people's lives and redistribution. That's not what this is. This is genuine insanity.
John Ashbrook
This is. I think this is. There's been great discussion of this among conservatives online. This is not like, Bernie, Medicare for All. This is like isis, behead the infidel.
Michael Duncan
Yeah, yeah.
John Ashbrook
That's what we're talking.
Josh Holmes
That's where we're at.
Michael Duncan
Free health care was the moderate position.
John Ashbrook
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Josh Holmes
No, no. Free health care is like, that's. Of course we'll do that. It's, it's. Do we execute murder CEOs? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's the Luigi position. The first gal that we got to talk about New York 13, Darieliza Avila Chevalier. She's a Democratic socialist and a community organizer. That's a funny, interesting continuity that a lot of these people have. The community organizers just like Obama. Well, it's almost like they get paid by NGO bingo. It's almost like that happens. Anyway, she defeated incumbent Espilat.
John Ashbrook
Adriano Espiat, who is a longtime New York institution. This guy is truly a pillar of the Democrat party in that town. He's like as much of like a made man power broker as it gets.
Josh Holmes
Was, was, was right up until Tuesday night where the made man ran into Chevalier. Now, Chevalier, she's a founder of a place called Quad. And you might answer like, have you
Smug
ever heard of that?
Josh Holmes
No, nobody's ever heard of that. But what is it? Columbia University? Apartheid Divest Coalition?
John Ashbrook
Uh.
Marty O'Donnell
Oh.
Smug
Mm.
Josh Holmes
Okay, I think I know where that headed.
Michael Duncan
That raises my spidey senses a little.
Josh Holmes
Okay, go on, Chevalier. Go on. This is their mission statement.
John Ashbrook
Yeah, pop that. There it is.
Josh Holmes
Okay. We are Westerners fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization.
John Ashbrook
Take a. Take a. Take a beat, folks.
Michael Duncan
This is. Collect yourself.
John Ashbrook
This is the start. This is how they open. This is straight up what it is. This is like. This is. Again, this is not like, you know, if we can raise the taxes on the upper bracket and then put that money towards health care. This is. We have.
Josh Holmes
You guys want a Head Start program? Do you want like, you know, that's
John Ashbrook
like all the shit AOC would say, like, Medicare for all. They're like, shut the fuck up. This is for the total eradication of Western civilization.
Josh Holmes
Yeah, and we mean eradication. That's what this is in the truest sense.
Smug
Well, that's what I was wondering. By eradicate, do they mean, like.
Josh Holmes
Interesting choice of words.
Smug
You're not allowed to play fantasy football. Does it mean something stronger than that? Are they, you know, are they saying
John Ashbrook
what they are saying? And they're like, we are so tired of you guys not hearing what we're saying. Yeah, we tried saying defund the police, and all these establishment cucks came out and said, no, no, no, we don't mean it. So they're like, let's just write it. We want to destroy Western civilization. Like, get the fuck out there and try explaining that. Hakeem Jeffries. Yeah, yeah, try to put.
Michael Duncan
Try co opting this.
Josh Holmes
Let's see if you can Spam burger routine. This bad boy, behead him in the streets. Your sons of. All right, so they're not Chinata. We seek community and instruction from militants in the global South.
Michael Duncan
Uh oh.
Josh Holmes
Who have been on the front lines in the fight against tyranny and domination which undergird the imperialist world order. What the fuck is that? I mean, are you kidding me?
John Ashbrook
So this is the thing, and I think this is very critical. Again, when I said that there's been some excellent discussion among conservatives online on this very point. Is that this feels like for the Democrat, for the left, a turning point from what we've seen over the past decade. The like, progressive wokeness of like, hey, you know, we're gonna, we're gonna twist the arms of corporations to have transgender day of visibility. They're done with that shit. And now it is straight up, like a third world tourism.
Michael Duncan
Yeah.
John Ashbrook
When they say straight up, we want to eradicate Western civilization, and number two, we take instruction from militants in the global South.
Michael Duncan
Yeah. They're saying Osama bin Laden.
Smug
Right.
Josh Holmes
That's what, that's what that is. Just if you want to do the
John Ashbrook
decoder raid, shoot our enemies, take their shit because they're done with the. Like, we. By defund the police, we mean community yoke. No, they mean kill Western civilization at the point of a gun or a sword.
Josh Holmes
There's also this hilarious, like professorial sort of pseudo intellectualism to it. Like the, the provocative nature of what they're saying is exactly what you guys have just said in that it's basically like, 911 was good.
John Ashbrook
Yep.
Josh Holmes
Right. We should have more 9 11s.
Michael Duncan
Yeah, that's.
Josh Holmes
That's what they're saying. It's not us interpreting what they're. So that. That is what they're saying. But they don't say that. They say the fight against tyranny and domination which undergird the imperialist world order like a bunch of fuck. What is that? Nobody knows what that you're. This is like America.
Michael Duncan
Yeah. It does feel like there's sort of like a nerdy larping component.
Josh Holmes
Yeah.
John Ashbrook
And there's a reason for that. We also are going. I got a great graphic waiting on that for why it's like that.
Josh Holmes
Okay, well, look, I think in graphic eight, the next form of this. And I think. Smash, you weighed in on this a little bit as we were talking about it.
Smug
Well, they put a finer point on it. This is from the CUD or the CUDs for I'm not sure that is good. I'm not sure. But it's not just Western civilization. They say undermine and eradicate America as we know it. And this is an organization where she. She was influential.
Josh Holmes
No, she founded it.
Smug
Oh. She herself founded the Eradicate America as We Know it organization. So it's raised a lot of questions about can a person like this serve in the United States House of Representatives? Okay. Can Osama bin Laden's press secretary get a job in Congress because a bunch of lunatic rich kids in New York vote for that person.
John Ashbrook
And here's the thing. I think it's important to state that she was the founder of this organization because you can't play the I just had a membership card bullshit line. You were on. You founded an organization which has expressly said, you're going to destroy America, you're going to destroy Western civilization. And you're inspired by militants.
Josh Holmes
No, House Representatives. Just listen to the choice of words.
Smug
Okay?
Josh Holmes
Eradicate. Yep, eradicate.
John Ashbrook
Eradicate. You don't do it in a ballot box, I'll tell you that.
Josh Holmes
Eradicate means something different.
Michael Duncan
Yeah, right.
Josh Holmes
It's not like we're interested.
Smug
It's a black and white term.
Michael Duncan
You eradicate like pests.
John Ashbrook
Yes.
Michael Duncan
You eradicate diseases.
Josh Holmes
It has been a common vernacular of the most anti Semitic, like horrible sort of Nazi styled propaganda that we've dealt with for 100 plus years. It's eradicate is the word. They chose that word, eradicate America.
Smug
And you're like, huh, so you know, assuming, assuming bin Laden, assuming she wins her race this November, which is an extremely safe bet. The House of Representatives has expelled people in the past, like they expelled, I think three or four confederates back in the 1860s, because of course the Confederates were against America at that time, against the United States. And so there is a precedent for expelling someone who is against America from that chamber. And I think it's incumbent upon journos up on the Hill to ask establishment
Josh Holmes
Democrats whether this is somebody that would.
Smug
Would you vote to expel someone like this?
Josh Holmes
Well, I don't even know that's either. So I don't know. The House rules are that.
Smug
Well, it's a two thirds. Takes a two thirds vote.
Josh Holmes
No, no, but, but on the seating itself, to recognize in a lot like
Smug
in the Senate, the seating itself is about age and citizenship, et cetera.
Josh Holmes
So it has nothing to do. Because here's why I asked.
Smug
The Constitution's pretty like this has been reviewed before. Like in the 1960s it was reviewed. And so the Constitution itself, whether someone can be seated now, whether she is taking the oath of office, that's the question. Is it fraud or not?
Josh Holmes
This is what. This is my point.
Smug
That's a question that is settled at the expulsion.
Josh Holmes
Oh, okay.
John Ashbrook
It is.
Josh Holmes
So there's seated. Because the Senate operates differently in that the Senate itself chooses whether to recognize the election. And it's never done. It came up once with Roland Burris and Member Blagojevich and that whole thing that he went to prison for because he sent this guy who is Just basically an illiterate to represent Illinois in the United States Senate. And people were had an open discussion about whether he should be seated or recognized as a legitimate appointment to represent Illinois. But the Senate deals with that that way. I guess what I'm hearing from you is they have no choice but to recognize the election of this woman. The question is whether or not they can turn around and send her ass right back.
John Ashbrook
Well, that's the thing is like if she takes the oath of office, ostensibly being like, I swear to defend the Constitution. At the same time she is a founder in the group who puts out we aim to eradicate America. It seems like that's kind of like in conflict.
Josh Holmes
Dude, it says it does true divestment. Remember that's in the title, divestment. That's another by the way, one of the terms like eradication, one of those terms that in the, in the bowels of antisemitism has worked its way BDS with. That was a big, a big thing. Divestment is a term that you use to just. It just means Jews basically when they're talking about it off the left hand
Smug
side, not allowed to buy things from them. Where have we heard that before?
Josh Holmes
That's what they're talking. It's not like divestment like well, we choose to buy different goods and services. It's like, no, we just want to impoverish Jewish people anyway. True divestment necessitates nothing short of the total collapse of the university structure in the American empire itself. I don't think there's a judgment call in that. Like if you founded an organization that is dedicated to the total collapse of the American and they call it an empire itself, the oath is meaningless.
Michael Duncan
She shouldn't be in Congress. She should be on the terror watch list.
Josh Holmes
Yeah, I would put her in prison.
John Ashbrook
She should be in the terror watch list. I can't believe prison's a moderate option.
Josh Holmes
Prison is the moderate option. I would rendition.
John Ashbrook
No, no more Gitmo, no more agents of foreign terrorists. We should not put up with this bullshit.
Josh Holmes
This is the kind of shit, by the way, you get with open borders. Yes, this is the kind of shit that you get. You had never met anyone in your life before the last five, six years who could agree with anything in this discussion.
John Ashbrook
And that's the thing.
Josh Holmes
And this person is a Democratic nominee for Congress.
John Ashbrook
And when you talk about the discussion online of the shift from Democrats of the progressive wokeness to this third world tourism is like, well, you've gotten Mamdani a communist from Uganda, who showed up in America, like, five years ago and is going to be overseeing the 25th anniversary of 911 this year, by the way. He endorsed these people. He empowered these people. He's been in this country for a couple minutes, and now he's dictating how we run our country. And now he's dictating that. Yes, I like an individual who says that they want to eradicate Western civilization, they want to eradicate America. That's who I endorse. That's who I empower. That's who we are sending to Congress.
Josh Holmes
Well, he's.
John Ashbrook
That's where it's coming from.
Josh Holmes
He's like, I like it, too.
John Ashbrook
That's where it's coming from.
Josh Holmes
And that's the issue here. And if you notice the way that even conservative journals cover Mamdani, it's like, oh, this guy's crazy. He's whatever. But it's always in a process. Like, he's got a little something to sell. Oh, he knows how to sell it. And it's not like, dude, at some level, you need to draw the line.
John Ashbrook
Bingo.
Josh Holmes
And say, this is not about somebody's political talent. You know, it's like people in the 30s looking at Hitler and be like, wow, this guy really can captivate a crowd. You know what I mean? Like, that's not what we're. He is literally aligning himself with people who call for eradication, divestment, all of these, like, coded antisemitic terms in very clear, out in the open ways. Dan Goldman, the guy who was like, the hero of the left during the whole Russiagate deal, is a guy who got defeated on Tuesday. And part of that was that he went into a coffee shop where they said, we're not gonna serve Jews. And then they ask Mom, Donnie about it. He's like, well, I have a number of issues that I disagree with him on. He doesn't say, like, that was a bad thing. Didn't say it. Like, he's telling everyone exactly what it is that he got stamped.
John Ashbrook
And that's the thing. Mamdani didn't align himself with these individuals. Mamdani elevated.
Josh Holmes
Yes.
John Ashbrook
These individuals.
Josh Holmes
You're 100% right on that. We would not be having this conversation if not for this success of Mamdani.
John Ashbrook
And that's there. This is an effort coast to coast to get one of these psychopaths into office. And then their job is to bring the right. Keep it going.
Smug
But it doesn't stop here. There's a whisper campaign in Manhattan right now that they should make a constitutional challenge by letting Mamdani be the Democrat nominee in 2028. Yep. Because he wasn't born here. He's not qualified to be president, United States, based on the Constitution. But they're like, let him run.
Josh Holmes
I would love it. I would love nothing more in large part, because I think Old Glory comes out and just kicks the fuck out of him.
John Ashbrook
I don't think so.
Josh Holmes
I think.
John Ashbrook
I think so.
Josh Holmes
Now, I trust this country when it comes to shit like that.
John Ashbrook
I would. But there have been so many. I would. But there have been so many judges who have been like, oh, this guy is. Oh, I'm not worried about that. Human smuggling. And like, this judge is going to say, turn the plane around and bring back the human trafficker to this country and the Democrat Party itself. Now, half this country is beholden to these psychopaths. I don't have faith in that shit. Well, I'm just saying, until I see these commies getting locked up. That's the moderate option, folks. Deported. That's the moderate option.
Josh Holmes
The average person who's listening to this show will just absolutely lose their mind if that is gonna be an option. And it is a contrast that I would love to paint. Ice Lady's got a whole bunch of other stuff. But I will say this is one point that I've wanted to make. Made a little bit of it on fox. Part of what's happening here is that the Democratic Party has not cast a meaningful primary ballot for president since 2008. And Barack Obama, you're right. They were prohibited from doing what they wanted to do in 2016 and had to elect Hillary Clinton, despite the fact that Bernie Sanders was by far and away more popular amongst the Democratic Party.
John Ashbrook
And Obama told Joe Biden not to run.
Josh Holmes
Yeah, 2020. Joe Biden got his ass kicked in the first two elections that they had. What was the answer to that? Consolidate the rest of the field. They have to endorse old Joe and get everybody else to bail out, essentially. And then, by the way, take those two states off the list of primaries for Democrats going forward.
John Ashbrook
The whole South Carolina deal, you gotta rig it.
Josh Holmes
And then in 24, we all know the story about, well, you got this incumbent president. He's fined and fit and ready to go and doing back flips in the Oval. Shit, he did that on stage in front of everybody. Now we gotta give you Kamala. We're not gonna vote on it, though.
John Ashbrook
There's not gonna be a fucking vote. Are you kidding me?
Josh Holmes
So you have all this pent up energy within the Democratic Party and then the base in particular that is spilling out. And that in concert with this profound, I would say historically weak leadership of the Democratic Party, there are no good guys, there are no guardrails and there's just. There's not, you know, like you would love as an American, not as a partisan, but as an American for somebody like Barack Obama, a former president or a Bill Clinton or somebody be like, whoa, everyone stop. Like we are not going to kill the Jews here. But. And this is a necessary time to say that, by the way, when you have stuff like eradicate and divest in the specificity of what these people are talking about, now is a good time for the adults to show up.
Michael Duncan
No, but Obama wants a meeting with Mamdani, the new kingmaker.
Josh Holmes
Exactly. And it's quite the opposite.
John Ashbrook
And now you want the Pod bros to go and endorse all these people and you will. That's Obama Inc. In action, by the way.
Josh Holmes
And you will see Hakeem Jeffries begin to talk about this new group of energetic folks really turning people out.
John Ashbrook
Dude, he's gonna process. He's a harm's not gonna call him energetic. It'll all young new dynamic.
Josh Holmes
A yeah. And that's. This is the depth of depravity that is today's Democratic Party and the real danger, honestly, as you get into weird election cycles where anything can happen. If these people had their hands on power. Katie, bar the door. I don't know what they're capable of. I mean this is.
John Ashbrook
We know what it is. They've said it like how much louder does this lady need to scream? We want to eradicate Western civilization in America. She's like, for God's sake, I founded a group and I put that out there. What's it gonna take?
Josh Holmes
It's not in the fucking letter, dude. So. But she's not alone. This guy Brad Lander, he's a former NYC comptroller, another left wing cat. I love this guy in particular because he's a Jewish guy. He beat the Dan Goldman guy. Except for the fact that he did that in large part by just running right into the teeth of the anti Semitism and embracing it. Here's clip three of Brad Lander reading from the Quran. I believe as a proud Jewish New Yorker that Israel's genocide in Gaza is a desecration. Bismillah Nirrahman Iraheem Khu al khuhu Allahu
Marty O'Donnell
akhad Allahu Samad lamyalid walam yulad walam
Josh Holmes
yaqu lahu Kufanakhad, thank you very much for welcoming me today.
John Ashbrook
And then afterwards they said, through your hands come the relief for the believers and the killing of the infidels by your sword. Mike, dude, that's the Democrat party. That's the Democrat party.
Smug
That's the campaign rally.
Josh Holmes
What happened to Medicare for all?
John Ashbrook
You know, that's the thing, is what
Smug
happened to the affordability agenda.
Josh Holmes
I could deal with generous entitlement programs. You're bidding about labor issues.
Michael Duncan
We went from public option to kill the infidels by the sword.
John Ashbrook
That's it. My God.
Josh Holmes
Dude, they literally. And what you said is entirely right. For our audio only people, we had this on the screen on the YouTube is the captioning of the prayer that immediately follows his appearance. Through your hands comes the relief for the believers and the killing of the infidels by the sword. Now I don't know if Brad is familiar with this, but they're talking about you, you dumb fool.
John Ashbrook
And that's why they love them. That's why they love these useful idiots is they want people to open the gates for, in their own words, the eradication of western civilization. The eradication of America. The 2018 squad which was like medicare for all is so yesterday, so quaint. In the Democrat Party they've gone from Medicare to all to through your hands comes the relief for the believers and the killing of the infidels by the sword. That is the Democrat party years ago. That's why it's so they were doing
Smug
press conferences with Lilly Ledbetter
John Ashbrook
complaining about
Josh Holmes
income inequality for women and now it's kill everybody. What happened to the gang bang accusations? You know, like that's. That was better course of discourse than this. What the hell is it? Killed by the sword. That's not America. Get out. Get out. Get out of our country.
John Ashbrook
Who the hell is that?
Josh Holmes
Deport all of them. Killing of the infidels by the sword, we don't deal with that in America. That's not an American thing. We don't have that.
Smug
That's why it exists.
Josh Holmes
We don't talk like that.
Smug
That's why America exists, to not have that.
Josh Holmes
And that's by the way, in concept why most of the people came here in the first place is to get out from underneath that kind of shit. These people just dragged it with them. It is, dude, not alone. We're not done. We're not done. We Got Claire Valdez, New York 7. So state assembly woman. So she has been elected to something in the past. I'm surprised she wasn't thrown out for being an establishment anyway, she's a Democratic socialist, which is probably why. And she won the open Democratic primary to succeed retiring Rep. Media Velasquez Nydia Velasquez. Here's her in her views in clip 7. I would be remiss if I didn't bring up trans rights,
John Ashbrook
really enshrining their rights as we do within universal programs and making sure that Medicare for all includes gender affirming care and health care for trans folks. We need to make sure that we're enshrining the rights in a trans bill of rights and in workplaces and making sure that there's real social housing that can that is available for, you know, for everyone, but especially trans people. That's the thing. So this is the thing is right there and numerous times this individual who is headed to Congress, by the way, is saying, no, not only should there be any funding for or not only should there be like child transgender surgery, all of it should be paid for by taxpayers as well as housing for transgender people paid for by taxpayers.
Michael Duncan
Free house and a free dick.
Smug
Again, I was under the impression a few years ago that they wanted insulin price relief.
John Ashbrook
That's it, by the way.
Josh Holmes
But you know what? If you call it enshrining, the dicks are free.
John Ashbrook
This dischridion and we're going to get into how this is a pattern. This district includes some of the like wealthiest parts of.
Smug
Oh yeah, I want to get.
Josh Holmes
I want to let you.
Marty O'Donnell
I want.
Josh Holmes
This is your parade and I'm gonna allow you to do that here in a minute. But I've got a couple of more things that we've got to get to before we enshrine the dick. Clip five is this is Valdez and supporters out in victory night and this is what we were talking about to put this in a little bow about how shitty this is for Hakeem Jeffries and clips 5. They are all chanting with a screen of Akeem Jeffries, you're next. He's on the tv and they are yelling at the tv, you're next. They don't. This isn't like a boy. I hope we win the majority.
John Ashbrook
Nope.
Josh Holmes
Boy, I hope. I sure hope some of our ideas are encapsulated in the agenda. No, you're next. Akeem Jeffries again is the moderate option from their standpoint.
Smug
Next for. For what? Eradication. I mean like they're take their language. What it is like the guy's just like maxing and mogging or whatever online and doing the filters and wearing A Knicks hat to pretend like he cares about singing, mogging.
John Ashbrook
And that's the thing is so, like,
Josh Holmes
eliminating the teeth slant.
John Ashbrook
We've been telling everyone, our listeners, you're so far ahead of the curve in terms of, like, the media trying to understand what's happening here when we told you there's an absence of leadership when it comes to Akeem Jeffries, when it comes to Chuck Schumer. This is what you get when you've created that vacuum of power. The lunatics are now in charge of the asylum. And they don't want Hakeem Jeffries stopping them. They don't want any.
Josh Holmes
You know why we know? Because we dealt with it. Because we dealt with it in the Republican Party. And if you don't have guardrails and you don't have actual leadership, what you get is people who don't want to be a part of this country, they want to destroy this country.
Michael Duncan
And it's a tale as old as time. There's a great axiom in politics. When you make a deal with the devil, you're always the junior partner, 100%. And that's what the Democratic establishment's done.
Josh Holmes
But they're so weak that they're unwilling and unable to make any other deal than a deal with the devil.
John Ashbrook
Or otherwise.
Josh Holmes
They'd be gone. Hakeem Jeffries would be done. Chuck Schumer wouldn't be leader of the Senate if he wasn't trying to figure out how to stay on top of, like, the people who want to kill him, according to their own literature.
Michael Duncan
I'm not.
Josh Holmes
I'm not, you know, I'm not being hyperbolic. This is what they say in their thing, eradicating and everything else. Like, I'm not. I'm not trying to be, you know, crazy here. This is what they say. They said it.
Smug
It's on tape.
Josh Holmes
There's a state Senate candidate that happened in the middle of all of this that we found particular humor in,
Ad Sponsor/Announcer
because
Josh Holmes
the dsa, who's taking credit for all that's the Democratic Socialists of America or whatever, were taking credit for a whole bunch of things. And one of the things that they took credit for was this woman named Abraquas.
Smug
Oh, boy.
Josh Holmes
Yeah, Abraquas. Just a huge electoral powerhouse. First of all, have a look at this. This lady. There she is. I can't imagine. Anyway, they cast ballots for her, but here's where the post from the New York City DSA comes. They say Palestine was on the ballot, and now a Palestinian American Democratic Socialist is going To Albany. Abraquas is exactly who New Yorkers need fighting for them in the state Senate. Because socialists get it done.
John Ashbrook
And again, I want to reiterate the fact that you'd seen so many of these like congressional candidates that won the other night as they're from the state assembly, they're from the state Senate because that's how the machine works. And the socialists, the Democratic socialists in New York have realized this and that's why they want to make sure they get them in on the ground floor. Because but a state 10 years.
Josh Holmes
Can we talk for a minute?
Michael Duncan
Assembly, they're like Palestine's on the. How about potholes?
John Ashbrook
None of that thing is none of
Smug
business licenses, you know, none of these
John Ashbrook
people care about zoning rags.
Ad Sponsor/Announcer
No.
Michael Duncan
I think what Smug's going to say is important.
John Ashbrook
None of these people care. It's all long game what matters to New Yorkers. None of these people care about quality of life issues for New Yorkers. This is about getting the machine rolling.
Michael Duncan
Yeah.
John Ashbrook
Getting in there, filling your people, putting them in the positions of power to go up and keep this. The same thing with Mamdani. They got to get the door open. Let all the other monsters.
Josh Holmes
Yeah, he was an assemblyman, now he's the mayor of the New York.
John Ashbrook
All this is headed towards that.
Josh Holmes
And so you'll be seeing Abercrouas in short time, I'm sure in a Democratic primary in New York who apparently is taking the words of wisdom from Hamas to Albany, which I'm sure everybody very grateful for across the state of New York. Well, this is your graphic.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah.
Josh Holmes
And this is about who it is that actually are the constituencies that elect these lunatics.
John Ashbrook
Yep. And folks, you may think when they run on, we are running for third world and abolition.
Michael Duncan
The Global South.
John Ashbrook
The Global South. And we take our marching orders from the global south militants and we're going to eradicate America. Well, who. Who is this constituency? Can I get graphic 5 up on the screen? The tweet that had this had the best caption of the dsa. We're rich, we're white, and we know what's best for you older residents. In that race that Espiat lost to Chevalier, all the older folks voted for SB Yacht. These are younger people. Okay. Among younger voters, Chevalier plus 23 points, majority college educated areas. Chevalier plus 18 points lower income areas. SBI 10.9. So we're talking about richer, college educated, younger. Okay, interesting.
Smug
Rich young white people, working people wanted the other guy.
John Ashbrook
They did not want the communist higher income areas. Chevalier plus 5. So this is a richer majority. Black Aspiat 2.2 black people didn't vote for the communists. It's the white people. Hispanic Aspiat plus 16. So like we are talking about these are college educated, rich, young, white white people who are young and are like, you know what eradicate America. That's my kind of thing. Let's go for it, dude. It's on.
Josh Holmes
Well in back to pull forward from that initial conversation that we had about chevalier and like that weird coded language and the like senselessly professorial description of we like 9, 11. Yeah, that's why.
Michael Duncan
Yeah. We need more gender studies majors in Gitmo. I think
Josh Holmes
Whore Island.
Michael Duncan
That too.
Josh Holmes
At some point we're going to talk about that.
John Ashbrook
And also I think what's important to state about what happened in these elections is this is not like, you know, it's so easy to be like, yeah, but this is New York City. These are a bunch of idiots. Like, you know what I mean? Like New York is going to just keep voting for communists. Like we'll be. The rest of the country is going to be fine.
Josh Holmes
They want to do that. They want to island out these things. Except for the fact that it happens everywhere. You saw la, like the sitting mayor oversaw the burning of half their homes and they're like, yeah, we'd rather have that.
Smug
Washington D.C. the Democrats chose socialist.
Josh Holmes
A socialist there, right? You saw it a couple years ago in Chicago. It happened in Seattle.
John Ashbrook
And that's the thing is this isn't even just like a major cities. Oh, well, of course, because it's Communists run all the big cities.
Marty O'Donnell
No, look at Maine.
John Ashbrook
This is all the Democrats. Can I get graphic six up there? This is favorable rating among Democrats in 2010 Democrats. If you asked is this favorable? 50% of Democrats said socialism was favorable. 51% said capitalism was favorable. 2025 socialism. 66%. We're talking about from 50 to 66%. That's, that's a pretty fast move to the left. And it's all Democrats. This is nationwide. This is not just a bunch of lunatics in the cities. This is the Democrat Party.
Josh Holmes
Can I say, can I say something that I think is just a little. It's tangential.
Michael Duncan
Okay.
Josh Holmes
Because I think we've well documented the failure of leadership within the Democratic Party that has led to this kind of thing. I think there's a massive failure on the business community in that they have tried to fight off social justice causes by the ones for the last 10 years. Oh, you're concerned about police and Blacks. Okay, so we'll throw a black square on Instagram, we'll give some money to the foundations that you all pay yourselves with and call it a day. We'll do. We'll implement dei, we'll implement the enviro regs, or we'll do all of these things. At no point has anyone in the last 10 years in the business community implemented a wholesale campaign to actually educate a younger generation of Americans that apparently have no idea why it is that we are the most wealthy, prosperous, only nation on the planet that can bring you from the depths of poverty to the halls of Congress in one generation. Like, nobody's done anything on it. I think that's a huge indictment of people to just basically tell their own story. It's an easy case to make. Like why we all grew up with it.
Michael Duncan
Yeah, we knew it.
Josh Holmes
It was endemic. Right. And anybody who is like older than us, Reagan age or whatever, was a part of the talking points that of America, you know, the all the greatest generation offshoot and all that. But like, somewhere along the way, this is clearly lost. And some, these younger people, affluent urban whites, essentially, genuinely believe that people in Gaza have a better idea of how to lift people out of poverty than they do in the United States of America.
John Ashbrook
That's correct. Yeah, that is correct.
Michael Duncan
I agree with you, Holmes. But honestly, I blame the Republican Party more.
Josh Holmes
You do?
Michael Duncan
I blame the Republican Party more for a couple of reasons. I mean.
Josh Holmes
Oh, because of this sort of like. Yeah, I get what you're saying. The populist, Democrat light politics that we've been playing lately. Right.
Michael Duncan
It's. I'm for populist things when it's, it's not happening because Washington, the machinations of Washington made it impossible to do easy things that everybody agrees on. That's the populism I'm on for. The populism I'm not on for is seeding the argument of the left embracing socialism as a Republican Party and then being Democrat light.
Josh Holmes
Yeah.
Michael Duncan
Because the Republican Party that I grew up on was the adult in the room who was like, no, you're not going to get more of our money. No, that's a dumb fuck idea.
Josh Holmes
Yeah.
Michael Duncan
That's the Republican Party that had a backbone. And when you see that ground, you see that argument that their way of looking at the world and their worldview and that everyone is a victim. When you see that ground, this is what happens.
Josh Holmes
It's a good point and I do think we have slipped in that regard. But I think it would do some people, some Good for, like, entrepreneurs. We don't even have small business organizations anymore that talk about this stuff. Like, I don't know, how do you think people make a living here? Like, how do you think the people who. You're listening to this right now, how are you raising your family? Like, how are you getting to do what you.
Michael Duncan
How are.
Josh Holmes
What's your American dream look like? If these people are able to compound a, what was it, 16% increase in 10 year period of time of socialism to captivate now 2/3 of the Democratic Party, which is half the for a country, I might add, by saying that just simply taking your shit and giving it to other people is a good idea. You gotta figure out a way to fight back on that in a really significant way or you're not going to have a country.
Michael Duncan
Yeah. And listener and viewer, no one's coming to save us.
John Ashbrook
No one's coming to save us.
Michael Duncan
No one's coming to save us.
Josh Holmes
Nobody is. And that's the thing that I think from our perspective is interesting in that we had worn the hat for a lot of years of people who are like, in charge of trying to figure out how to save us. Like, we're not wearing that hat. And I'm looking around, I'm like, I don't think anybody else is either. Like, this is coming. And if you are shocked that not Mandani because of constitutional issues, I'm dubious about that. But if you're shocked if AOC is the president, United States in January of 2027, and she has Democratic socialist majorities in the House and Senate, then you're a fucking idiot, because we told you this is coming and you have to figure out how to combat it at some level. And if you have means to try to do something, do it.
Michael Duncan
Yeah.
Marty O'Donnell
Because.
Josh Holmes
And sure as hell vote. My God, like, where the hell are the Jewish people in New York? You're looking at that and you're like, eradicate, divestiture, Koran stuff like calling for the sword. Like. And you're like, ah, I'm just gonna sit this one out. Really. Like, I don't think people really understand there's like a cottage industry in politics of making sure everybody feels like this is the most important election. And I'm not gonna make the case about this midterm that it's the most important election. But the movement is. Because if you let this thing slip, you're not gonna get it back.
Marty O'Donnell
Mmm.
Josh Holmes
You're just not.
John Ashbrook
Mm.
Josh Holmes
And like, sitting these things out makes no sense. If you just, like, America a Little bit. Because you're not gonna have it. It's gonna look like freaking western Europe. Which by the way, not great. All those people are coming over here for the World cup and they're like holy shit, this place is awesome.
Michael Duncan
Ask the Europeans how great socialism work. It works over there, dude.
Josh Holmes
It's true. I'm sorry for the soapbox. I just feel like it's stuff irritates me a little bit. It's good stuff.
Michael Duncan
It's good to get it off your chest.
Josh Holmes
Irritates me a little bit. You guys did a wonderful interview by the way, with a very interesting cat, Marty o'.
Smug
Donnell.
John Ashbrook
Huge, Huge. I mean this is a great interview. A lot of folks, you will know him from the Flintstones vitamins jingle or from the music of Halo, among other things. Incredible candidate running in Nevada against Suzy Lee. It was a great interview. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a very special treat for you today. We have individual who I've been a huge fan of for his music and who is now boldly making the leap to try to make sure that our country stays in safe hands and protects us from the leftward march of socialism. Ladies and gentlemen, Marty o'. Donnell. Welcome to the show.
Marty O'Donnell
Thanks for having me here. Smug. This is like a thrill for me. Although I gotta say the set is smaller when you're here in person. It just seemed like such a huge space.
John Ashbrook
Well, I mean I'm sure you're used to like much larger studios when you're working with like Paul McCartney and also for men of a certain age. You will remember Marty did all the music for Halo. So all those songs, that's Marty's work. Flintstone vitamins jingle. That's Marty's work. So like even before this interview you've heard his work everywhere. Thank you so much for joining us.
Marty O'Donnell
Oh, you're welcome. And just a shout out to the Halo fans. We've got Halo coming back out. This is the 25th anniversary of Halo 1 and they're re releasing it. And so far all I've heard is my original music and recordings in the re released upgraded version. They upgraded all the graphics and all the rest of it but it's still got the OG music in it which is a thrill.
John Ashbrook
Yeah, it was like the official soundtrack to the dorm rooms when I was in college. But the main reason that you are here today, it cannot be more important. The other night we saw in New York City all the Mamdani backed leftist Democrat socialists won their primaries knocking out incumbent Democrats. We are seeing that party go further and further and further to the left in an unbelievable pace. And the main Democrat Party in Washington is basically just like fully surrendering to them. Susie Lee is a prime example of someone who's not a leader, who does not have Nevada's interests in mind. This is someone who wants to stay in power, will do whatever it takes, will listen to whatever the Democrats in Washington want her to do. And that's who you're running against?
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah, she's just been a rubber stamp for the Democrats. And whichever way the Democrats go, and they're going so far left now, and she won't say anything on the record that goes against any of the Democrat socialists. This is what cracks me up. Just because you put the word Democrat in front of it doesn't change it. It's like Democrat murderer is still a murderer. Right. So socialist. You're a socialist, you're a Marxist. And I've been asking lawyers about this because some of my best friends are lawyers. Of course. I've been asking, like, how is it that you can, as a Marxist, take the oath of office, which says you're supposed to take the oath of office, which is to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States, and you have to be able to take it without any mental reservations that's in the Constitution. How could you be a socialist? How can you be a Marxist when the express aim of Marxism is to undo what that our Constitution has in it? So if you're against the Constitution, you cannot possibly take an oath of office and not be lying. So I don't think I actually would love to see all Marxists eliminated from the government and from any official positions. And they shouldn't be allowed to run. If you're officially a socialist, you shouldn't be allowed to run for the government.
John Ashbrook
That's what I said in the last episode, is how has it become okay to not only openly be a Marxist socialist in this country, but then to hold elected office? And this is basically what the Democrat Party has become.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah, yeah. I don't. But apparently this has been tested in the courts at some point. And there's something in there that allows people to, you know, supposedly be telling the truth when they. When they put their right hand on the Bible or whatever, which way it is. I'm sure it's your right hand on the Bible. But of course, they don't have to do that anymore. They just take the oath with nothing supporting it. And supposedly they're not lying because if they believe that they'll use democratic means to change the fundamental meaning of the Constitution. If they do it through a Democratic means, then it's okay. They can take the oath. That's what I heard from a lawyer. I'm still suspicious.
Smug
Marty, you're traveling all over the world, the third district, talking to a whole lot of people. And, you know, what we hear from the Democrats who we know is that there is a lot of frustration on the ground, even among Democrats, with, like, the leftward sprint that their party has made. And so I gotta imagine you've heard from some people who maybe haven't voted Republican before or maybe only a couple of times, who are like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. We don't want to be a communist country. I want somebody who's reasonable. And I got to think that you're hearing from those folks.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah, what I'm hearing a lot is that what the Democrats are trying to push is essentially nonsense. None of it makes sense. They don't have a positive agenda, but what they do propose is nonsensical. And, you know, I don't think this is a party thing. I think it's just common sense and nonsense. And so that's the difference. And I think it's also the idea of, can we make America normal again? Can we get back to normalcy? And, you know, I love the idea. As a gamer and someone who has a lot of gamers as my fan base, I love the idea of revenge of the nerds. But I think in this midterm, it could be the revenge of the normies. Like, normal people, I think, are going to come out and say, wait a minute, this has gone too far.
Ad Sponsor/Announcer
Far.
Marty O'Donnell
They're not usually political. They don't care that much about parties. They don't pay that close attention to what's happening all over the world. They care about, you know, one good job, being enough to be able to buy a home and raise their family, maybe take a vacation. And they see that going away, but they also see this entire sprint to the left, and it's abnormal stuff. They're being pushed into that somehow normal is bad. And I think they're going to push back finally. I really believe this is the year that the normal people are going to push back.
Smug
What else are you hearing out there on the trail? You know, mostly beyond the, you know, the desire for a normal leadership. You know, in America, like, is it. Is it affordability? Is it taxes? Is it energy?
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah, I mean, for sure, people are. Well, nobody wants to have more of their money taken away from them. And, you know, we have bills that have now been passed that have like given more money back to the, to normal people. So they're keeping more of their money. They are taxed less. They have the no tax on tips and Social Security. And that really has a meaning because it changes what they're able to. They have the freedom to do something with their own money. Like their money is what they worked for. They use their time and they have their time back. And they are talking about that. And they don't want that to go away. They don't want to go further in the direction where the government is taking more of their money. And what still surprises me is when I see people in my own party act as though if we just tweak the government in a certain direction or we make the government with more laws and newer laws and different laws. And I just keep being reminded and this works for people that I talk to is the government is not the solution to your problem. The government is the problem. So the old Ronald Reagan saying is coming true for people again. It's like they don't trust government to solve all of their problems. They trust themselves to raise their kids, to make decisions about their kids education and to decide what they want to do with the money they've earned to make their lives better. And that's what people are looking for.
John Ashbrook
And I think that really resonates. You have this great video folks. You should go see it. About the golden goose of. It feels like the centerpiece of your platform is the American people know everything we have in this country is because of the hard work of individuals and taxpayers. And it's not the government stepping in and deciding, okay, who's a winner, who's a loser in this market. What are we going to do with this money? Making decisions for individuals that the taxpayer, the individual American is the source of this country's success, is the engine for success. And the best thing to do is just leave them alone, let them thrive.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah. Well, the way I like to put it, and I've used this metaphor for many years, that has to do with just. Even the industry itself, the game industry or any entertainment industry. It's like people who, corporations who think that all they have to do is find the golden egg and then duplicate it. And they think duplicating it just means making more golden eggs. You can't make a golden egg without the goose. And the goose that lays the golden egg is the key. So you don't just slap a number two or number three on the sequel. You know, Planet of the Apes 2 was not as good as Planet of the Apes 1. And the reason was because they fired all the original people who made Planet of the Apes, which, by the way, wasn't necessarily the greatest movie ever, but it was pretty cool movie.
Smug
But the point remains, you know, I think it's a really good point.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah. And so for me, I look at the same idea with government. And all government needs to do is sort of get out of the way of what people make. Their people make their best decisions. We will get the people, the working class, the middle class, small business owners, people who understand how important family is, and they will be the goose that lays more golden eggs. And if we want more golden eggs, government not only it doesn't have to be like, it doesn't have to love the goose. It just needs to get out of the way and be nice to the goose. This is why I've had friends who say, don't you want the government to, like, love and mentor and, you know, like, no, no, because it doesn't know how to do that. Just be nice. You know, stop being mean like that. Being nice is just one step better than not being mean. Right. So stop being mean to the goose. Because the goose has been kicked in the stomach so many, for so many years, it doesn't want to lay eggs anymore. And I think if we can just get the government out of the business of thinking it's in control of everything, the engine that lays golden eggs will come roaring back to life. Ronald Reagan proved that. Donald Trump, in his first term, proved it. He's proving it again in this first year that he year and a half now that he's been having his administration do amazing things. And so this is what I see happening in District 3 in Nevada is we can get that engine working again and get the golden eggs churning again.
Smug
Yeah.
John Ashbrook
And that's the thing. So President Trump endorsed you.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah.
John Ashbrook
I think the message that you have in this midterm is exactly what the American people want to hear. You've mentioned numerous times. I think it's a great platform of the one good job, a return to American normalcy, where a good job, a government out of your way, lets you buy a home, build a family, realize all the opportunity that this country has. And I think it's also especially important to see it in the context of who you're running against, Suzy Lee. Because what we're facing is a radical, far left Democrat party whose first mission is going to be, let's start impeachment. Let's not get anything done. Let's not get this economy Roaring. It's going to be a revenge tour against President Trump. It's going to be putting priorities of letting Americans build families thrive in this country on the back burner, is just fully focused on their Trump derangement. And that's why we can't let it happen. But the really bad thing about Suzy Lee is it's like she's the Abigail Spanberger playbook all over again that all the voters have seen. She's not talking. She's not answering any of the questions that your campaign has reached out have been like, do you support Graham Platner? None of that. She's hoping she can just stay quiet and the mainstream media is going to let her just coast to victory. How has that been as a challenge of just trying to get anyone to call her out for this?
Marty O'Donnell
Well, from what I've seen, Susie's different than Spamberger because she's been in the public eye for a while now. People know who she is. People have seen what she's done with her choices of buying stock after she's figured out legislation that helps the company. She's been stock egregious. So there's a history now of things that she's done. She's voted, you know, 100% with, I might be exaggerating, but it's a lot. She's voted with Joe Biden and she's voting even more with the Democrats now than ever. She is not bipartisan. She keeps saying she is, but people in the district know that that's just a lie. So she is. She has let her, you know, her inner leftists out enough that she can't, she can't pretend she's moderate. She can't pretend she's moderate and then switch. She's already been proven to be a leftist. Now the Democrat Party is going so far left, I think it would be fascinating to see her actually disown some of these people, but she's not doing that either. So I just think it's a matter of letting the people in my district know who I am and know who she is and then let them make the choice. And I think they'll make the right choice. This is why I'm running. I, you know, I love Nevada. I love my district. My three grandsons were all born here in the district. And I just, I can't imagine having them grow up in the district with the Democrats and Susie Lee in control. And so we got to change that.
Smug
You know, one of the things I think is so interesting about your candidacy is how Your career matches up with that district. I mean, you have a district full of people who are small businesses, sole proprietors, people who have been in the hospitality industry, people who've been in the entertainment industry, and now they have a chance for representation from a guy who is among them. You know what I mean? Like, like there is, there's a certain aspect to representation in Congress that you, you like to think that the person you're sending to Washington understands what your area is going through.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah.
Smug
And represents those thoughts back to D.C. rather than the other way around, which is what it seems like Susie Lee has been doing.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah, yeah. And it's, it's a fascinating district. There are, there are people who go there to retire, which is, was one of the thoughts that I had in my mind briefly. You know, I could do that, but I guess I still have too much energy and too much desire to make sure the Democrats, especially this year, I look at what Trump is doing and I look at, you know, if you thought there was a lawfare and impeachment chaos, you know, four years ago or whatever it was six years ago now, now it's just going to be, you know, times 10 if we don't hold in the midterms. But I love the people who are in the area. They're people who have worked in entertainment, worked in, you know, hospitality and a lot of people who are coming from California, but they're. What I'm hoping for is the Republicans and the conservatives are leaving California because they just can't make it work. And they're coming to Summerlin and, and in areas in my district and we have a lot in common. So I think I can represent them pretty well.
Smug
Again, you got a unique background. I mean, it's not every day that we're sitting here ruthless talking to a guy that knows Paul McCartney and that is pretty awesome.
John Ashbrook
And recording albums at Abbey Road, it's just mind blowing.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah, yeah. I mean, I gotta say that was probably the highlight of my career was recording for four days at Abbey Road with 120 piece orchestra and choir and then having Paul there. It was Thanksgiving Day, I was telling you guys before, but Thanksgiving Day in 20, whatever was 2012, Paul was there recording. He, I had been with him in New York to record the band that he had. And then we put strings and orchestra on the recording with Paul there on Thanksgiving Day. It was in the middle of our four day session and it was great because he was like, well, your Americans are going to have turkey tonight, meat, you know, and I'm Like. Like, yeah, Paul, that's what we're doing because we're Americans. Don't worry about it. And he got a kick out of it, but it was. It was surreal to have that opportunity to be in the place that Abbey Road, where all the things were recorded for the Beatles. A quick story, if I have time, of course. So he. He says, have you. Have you seen the rest of the studio yet? You know, because we were up at the. At one point, this is a couple months before the final, and I was working with him in the studio at the penthouse studio at Abbey Road, and he says, you know, I'll give you a little tour. And I'm like, okay, who's gonna say no to Paul McCartney?
Smug
Yeah.
Marty O'Donnell
So he's taking me around and we go to the studio. That's the one you've seen. It's this white. It's got two levels, and you can look down from the control room into the. To the, you know, the first floor, and you're in the second floor. And we go into that studio and we're looking through the glass. And he goes. He goes, yeah, yeah, right down there. That's where it all happened. And I'm like, paul, yeah, I've seen all the documentaries.
John Ashbrook
Of course.
Marty O'Donnell
I know that's right. Of course, I didn't say any of that, but it was, like, it was surreal for me as a, you know, growing up as a Beatle fan. So it was spectacular.
John Ashbrook
And, you know, I think that's. To me, what's most impressive is you've had this tremendously successful, storied career. You've done amazing things, and to be like, you know what? This is too important. This country's too precious. I want my grandsons, my grandchildren to have a wonderful country like I did, and to step into the fight. If folks want to help you, I encourage everybody get involved in this race. Let's make sure Marty wins. Where can they go?
Marty O'Donnell
Marty4congress.com Marty4congress.com Just sign up there. Contribute money, start, sign up so I can talk to you. We can message each other, we can. We'll communicate through email, but that's the best place to just sign up there and support me there. It's great.
Smug
Marty, before we let you go, we have three questions we like to ask every single guest. And I feel like your answers to these are going to be better than anybody else's, given your background and your creativity and everything else. But the first question is, if you could pick your last meal on Earth, what would it be? Okay.
Marty O'Donnell
Last meal on earth. Jeez. You know, this goes back to when I was a kid. I had sauteed frogs legs and I ate them when I was a little kid and I thought it was the best meal I ever had. I think I would go with that because I haven't. I haven't had that in years. So that would be my last meal. Sauteed frogs leg.
John Ashbrook
First time we've heard that one.
Smug
Frog legs are great. They are, they are. They are very, very good. Oh, dude.
John Ashbrook
We had. When we were at the fair with secretary, now secretary Burgum, and we had those. Was it rattlesnake nachos. And I was like, I didn't know rattlesnake tasted so good.
Smug
It's outstanding. There's a lot of food out there that they just, they. Nobody's telling you that you're missing. Frog legs is definitely.
Marty O'Donnell
It was on my birthday, we went to Henrici's od, Chicago. Yeah. And I thought, I'm going to have that.
Smug
Oh, man, I love it. Okay, second question.
Marty O'Donnell
Okay.
Smug
And this is going to be interesting from you. A guy who's basically done everything that so many people listening to this have dreamt about, the opportunity to do themselves. But if you could look back on your entire life and do anything else, anything at all that you weren't able to do, what would you do? What would you do?
John Ashbrook
It doesn't have to be realistic. Ted Cruz said, basketball player. It can truly be like pie in the sky.
Marty O'Donnell
So this is sort of like, what would you be when you grow up?
John Ashbrook
Yeah, totally.
Marty O'Donnell
All right, well, so I'm gonna go back to my childhood again. I actually have a physical memory of this happening. I think I was probably three and a half or four years old and somebody asked me that question. It was, what would you like to be when you grow up? And I said, I thought about it and I said, a fire truck. And they said, oh, you mean a fireman. I said, no, fire truck. You said I could be anything. Right. And I thought it would be really cool to be a fan fire truck. So I guess I still have that same answer.
Smug
I love that. Absolutely love that. All right, Our final question is that we view people as motivated by one of two things. Just if, if you, if you look throughout, like all of the people who are highly successful, especially, you know, someone like yourself.
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah.
Smug
Are motivated by one of two things. Either the thrill of victory or the agony of defeat. And the agony of defeat. Guys like Michael Jordan, who is constantly inventing stuff, slights to, to motivate himself. The thrill of victory guy is kind of like Phil Mickelson. He's hit a. He's hit an iron over the water 15 times. And he's kind of a sunny optimist and thinks, oh, I'm going to be able to get that again. So what, what is it that motivates you, Marty, more than. Is one more than the other?
Marty O'Donnell
Yeah, that's a. That's an interesting thought. I. In terms of motivation, I think victory is. I. I fall solid, solidly on the victory side when I'm not in the game, whatever it is, and winning at it. That's when I get really, like, I can't sleep at night. There was a point when I was years ago dealing with stocks, you know, for my little retirement fund. And I pulled out all. I pulled out all the money because I had this feeling something bad was going to happen. And it was one of those deals where there was a crash. I think it was 87, if there was an 80.
John Ashbrook
No kidding. In 87.
Marty O'Donnell
So in 87, I had this feeling something bad was going to happen. And I pulled my, you know, $22 out. And I felt. I remember feeling really smart about that. But then because I wasn't in, I couldn't sleep. I would wake up at night because it wasn't in the game. And I like, oh, the problem with pulling out is you never know when to get back in. And so I think I rather be taking the risk. And I never see anything as a loss. I just see everything that's. As a learning experience for winning the next time.
Smug
Yeah.
John Ashbrook
Thank you so much, ladies and gentlemen, Marty o'.
Marty O'Donnell
Donnell. Thanks, guys. Appreciate it.
John Ashbrook
Thank you.
Smug
I mean, just an incredible conversation with this guy. And he is the kind of person who I think gets that third district in Nevada where you have a lot of people who've worked in energy, entertainment, worked in hospitality. Are sole proprietors or small business people. And they're interested in representation that fits their view of the world. And this guy is obviously interesting. I mean, he played for us a message that Paul McCartney himself left on the guy's voicemail. Very interesting guy. You know, his talent in music is unquestioned. You know, you mentioned the flint stone kids. 10 million strong and growing. Everybody knows that jingle. But what he's saying about the need to actually listen to people in that part of the state and carry their views to Washington in a way that the incumbent, Susie Lee, is not, I think, is powerful.
John Ashbrook
Yeah.
Smug
And I think he's got a really good shot.
John Ashbrook
Well, that's the thing is, he's gotten on so many folks radar. The CCCLF President Trump endorsed, like, this is a guy who is perfect for that district. Who everybody get involved. Let's win that one. Let's get rid of Suzy Lee. Let's keep the house.
Michael Duncan
Well, you got to support him. It's the reason why we all have healthy bones, you know?
Josh Holmes
Yeah, that's right.
Michael Duncan
He got us to eat our vitamins.
John Ashbrook
Yeah.
Josh Holmes
And growing.
Smug
That's his daughter.
John Ashbrook
Yeah, that's his daughter.
Josh Holmes
I love that story. That's just so great. All right, so look, A question of the day. It's coming a little bit late. When you like and subscribe to the ruthless variety program, we ask you a question of the day. We read them all and get back to the very next episode. The entirety of this episode was basically about the socialists. So it goes to show, our question is, what will the socialists run on in 2028? It went from universal health care to like open borders to now, like, kill the infidels.
John Ashbrook
Yeah, like they're moving fast.
Michael Duncan
What's next?
Marty O'Donnell
What's next?
Smug
Quotas. Yeah, Infidel quotas.
Josh Holmes
Infidel quotas. Well, listen, you leave us your responses and we'll get back to you on funtime Friday with all that. By the way, if you're waiting for King of the hill, we're doing it tomorrow. We're going to do King of the Hill tomorrow because we had a lot to say in this episode. So we're going to hold that over. Have a really fun time with all of that. And with that, fellows, I think we did it.

Episode Title: Socialist Uprising: Democrats Conquered + Halo Composer & House Candidate Marty O'Donnell
Release Date: June 25, 2026
Hosts: Josh Holmes, Comfortably Smug (“Smug”), Michael Duncan, John Ashbrook
Featured Guest: Marty O'Donnell (Halo composer, NV-03 GOP candidate)
This episode of the Ruthless Podcast brings a fiery, humorous, and highly critical analysis of the Democratic Party’s recent primary upheavals, especially in New York, where leftist, socialist-backed insurgents ousted establishment figures. The hosts dissect this “socialist uprising,” warning their audience that the Democratic establishment is losing control to more radical, openly anti-Western candidates. The episode features a detailed segment on primary losers (notably George Conway and Jack Schlossberg), the Maine ranked-choice upset, and a deep dive into the backgrounds and ideologies of the ascendant New York socialists. The second half is an interview with legendary video game composer and now congressional candidate Marty O’Donnell, covering his campaign against Susie Lee in Nevada. The episode is laced with the podcast’s signature biting satire, irreverence, and alarmist conservative commentary.
This episode serves as a review and critique of the state of Democratic Party politics post-primary, with a focus on the ascendance of radical, openly anti-Western progressives, whom the hosts argue threaten not just the party but the nation itself. The show wraps with an extended and lively conversation with congressional hopeful Marty O’Donnell, who connects his creative career to his run for office and amplifies the show’s main themes: defending the Constitution, economic liberty, and a pushback against the leftward lurch.
Listeners are left with a call to action: engage, vote, and “own the libs”—or risk a political and cultural future dictated by the new radical left.
