The ABC and SBS have defended their reporting on conflict in the Middle East, after facing scrutiny at the Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion. Australia’s Special Envoy to Combat Antisemitism Jillian Segal also spoke to the inquiry, calling for both broadcasters to establish an independent oversight body. Having been at the forefront of investigative journalism and community leadership for decades, Vic shares his insights as to how we can better understand the tumultuous times we live in, and what we can strive towards as both an ancient and an immigrant collage of a society.
