Hey, everyone. Welcome to Sect. I am Sierra Clark. It has been a minute. We have a solo episode coming this week. And of course, right here we will be reacting to all of the quotes and predictions and all the things that happen down there in Tampa, which is the first time it's going to be down there in Tampa, which, to be honest, has me kind of taken aback. I'm from Florida and I always feel like it should be somewhere just very generally, generally genuinely centrally located. I hate when you can't think of a word. And so that's my take on that. But I'm excited to see what these coaches have to say. And before we get into that, we have to talk about the team tea of the summer, which is not college football. It is Love island that just wrapped up. I was glued to my TV every day. It's kind of crazy. Like for those of y' all who don't watch that show, it is like having a football game on every single day of the summer. Like, it's kind of crazy. And who was. It was Trinity and Bryce that won. Finally, America voted for something we all kind of agreed on. And that's what I was glued to this weekend. Actually, funny story, kind of sports related. And the girl Anaya that was on the show, Carl and An. I think they were second place. Yeah. Her dad played basketball at Florida, so that's pretty cool. And she played volleyball at fao, so there's some sports ties there. And then we have sincere insincere. Hopefully his mom doesn't find this video because she came at me on TikTok. Yeah. Because I made a joke about how you can't trust sincere. He's insincere because he hit the transfer portal two times. Because. Which is true. He was a track and field athlete first at Penn State and then he transferred to Miami and then transferred to Texas Tech. That's three times transferring. I'm sorry, I am just so against transferring that many times when it comes to a sport. So anyways, I made a tick tock about obviously joking. Like the thing about tick tock is people don't understand that I'm joking. Like you think I'm serious. I have to remember though, a lot of 12 year olds and 15 year olds are watch Love Island. No offense. If you're 12 or 15 years old. You're watching this. Thanks for watching. But they're like little kids and I'm like twice your age, so I can't argue with these people. But then when his mom came at me and commented and she was like, you don't know what kind of nil deals he got. You don't know his alcodes. Think she was looking for accolades. Accolades. I can't even say the word right, but you know what I'm talking about. And yeah, it was, it was, it was kind of funny, though. I was like, wow, like Love island characters, mom coming on my Untuck talk. But that's, you know, that's the deal. But yeah, I'm very against transferring that many times when it comes to sports because it's a little crazy. Anyways, SEC Media days is coming up and it's pretty exciting because this is finally when I feel like people start to talk about football and we get the. The media voting on what they think the predicted order of finish will be and then the first team, second team, all SEC for the players. So I'm excited. I'm excited to learn more about certain players. I'm excited to see who speaks. Well, we already got that list, of course, because every school. But learning kind of more about the players and seeing who's media trained and who's not, you know, I feel like these schools are very strategic on who they pick when they come to speak at SEC Media days. And with lsu, I am kind of confused on why Sam Levitt is not there. So the guys that will be going to. Excuse me. SEC media days, wit weeks, who he's always a great one. Daughtery and trade as green and no Sam Lovett. Now we know he's coming off of surgery and I just feel like it was kind of very much a missed opportunity to have him, to be quite honest, from lsu. All we, we know Lane Kiffin is going to be there. Interesting enough, people are always like, oh, Wayne Kiffin. Like, we're excited to see what he says at SEC Media days. But, like, I feel like we're in a new era with Lane Kiffin. Obviously he is at LSU now, so it's literally a new era in Baton Bruce, the Kiffin era. But he's not as chatty on social media anymore. It's a little weird. I'm like, something feels off. And it's because Kiffin hasn't been tweeting, obviously, since the Vanity Fair article when he had all those statements to say about Ole Miss and how it was hard to recruit. There because of the alleged racism, that whole thing. After that he was just very quiet. And I'm curious from LSU fans how y' all felt after that because, you know, he's known for being a Twitter guy and all these things. But my theory, again, this is my theory. I feel like LSU told him to chill out on the social media stuff because Ole Miss kind of like I feel like let them let him do whatever he wanted. Let them, it wasn't always tweet about, but let them, let them, let them adjust different. Let them adjust different. That's all he would post about. And then what was it come to the boot before it was come to the zip, then before it was come to the fault. Like he was a very much a Twitter guy and in this digital world we're in, you have to be on social media a lot. But I think it was to the point where he was like talking a lot about Ole Miss. It was very much like throwing shade at your ex. Like it's like, okay, we get it like all those kinds of things. And I personally think even LSU fans were kind of sick of it. So Tiger's athletics department I really feel like told him to like quiet down. So that's. Those are some things that SEC media days coming up. I do hope he gets asked. I hope we learn more about Sam Lovett because he won't be there. I'm very curious what Weeks has to say because he's also dating Kiffin's daughter now. Oh, like they've been dating since, for about a year now. But Landry still. Landry is Lane Kiffin's daughter. She still attends Ole Miss per her Tick Tock page. She says she still goes Ole Miss and she know goes back and forth with to Baton Rouge. So I'm very curious about that dynamic with your, with being a football player on a high profile team and your coach is your girlfriend's dad. Like that's very like small town high school, yada yada yada. But like this is like lsu. So I'm very curious how wit manages dynamic that dynamic. So I don't know if these like 50 year old, no offense like beat writers are going to ask about that. There's, there are certain things I will say in this world of sports reasons why we need to have women, more women in this industry is because you know when Landry Kiffin and Whit Weeks announced they were dating, which she announced on her page, she hard launched it and it was right before Ole Miss and Elsie played last year in Oxford. It was Kind of weird seeing like the. No offense, I am not. I'm going to be 50 years old one day. So no offense, but like the 50 year old men that are like making comments about it or like on the ESPN broadcast, they were like zooming in and they were like talking about it on college game. It just was weird to me. I'm like, this is why we need to have like women in sports, so they could ask those types of questions. Because if I asked that a question, people would think it would be funny. But if someone, you know, my dad's age asks, it's, it's a little weird. I don't know. That's my opinion. And then. But yeah, I'm curious about Sam Levitt's health and how all these players have adjusted to this new staff at LSU, a Charlie Weiss Jr. And all those kinds of things. So those. That's something I would like to know about LSU when the Tigers step up to the plate at SEC media days this coming week. And then on the other side, Ole Miss Pete Golding, you know, we saw him really much in the moment when he was thrust into the head coaching role at the University of Mississippi during the College Football Playoff. But now I kind of want to see more of his, like, personality. You know, it's more excitement heading into college football season about to start and I really want to know, like, of course he's going to get asked about the LSU game. He's. Him and Kiffin are both going to be asked about that. I'm sure. Like, Kiffin has been like, I think he's, I think they have given him lines because, like, he's, I think Tiger fans are just kind of sick of like the craziness. But with Pete Golding, I'm very curious what he'll be asked and how he will respond and how he can show Ole Miss fans that he is confident in his team, that they can still kind of build off of what they did last year. And I know they're bringing Trinidad Chambliss and Kiwan Lacy to speak at media days. Who's the other one? Ole Miss. It is Will Echols. Okay. That. I feel like it was him, but I didn't want to say the wrong name. Yeah. Will Echoes will be the third guy speaking for Ole Miss at SEC media days. And I'm excited to see what they say. I'm excited to see, you know, how for them to really be honest on how confident they are going forward with the shake up of the new staff. I know they added some new Staff members, some former players, which is pretty cool to really give back to Oxford and that whole thing. So Trinidad Chambliss, of course, he's always a great interview. And, you know, I. I think the players will really give us something, maybe really let us know, like, how. How they feel about the staff and all the changes that they've had within the past year. And then my alma mater, the Florida Gators, John Sumrall. It's really interesting because when John Sumrall was hired at Florida, people were, like, very hesitant. Some of them, you know, they really wanted Blade and Kiffin. They were set on Kiffin. And then when we didn't get him, some people were really upset. Like, really, really upset. And I really. I don't think it was fair to say. I don't think it was fair to, like, tell some raw, like, oh, well, you were also a G5 coach in Louisiana, just like Billy Napier before he came to Florida and all those sorts of things. And I'm like, yeah, but John Sumrall and Billy Napier are not the same person. I think he said. I believe it was his opening press conference. A reporter posed to him a similar questionable. Like, how are you different from Billy Napier? You Both coach a G5 school in Louisiana. You had similar ish records and whatnot. What's the difference? Because people were not happy with Billy Napier, obviously, at Florida and summer, I was like, well, you know, I've. You know, there's reporters out there that aren't very good at their jobs and, you know, don't ask great questions. I'm paraphrasing here, okay? But I don't judge every reporter based off of the interactions, the negative ones that I've had with other people in that profession. So you can't group people together because of their similarities. You know, like, he's his own person. Napier is his own person. And if you watch like two seconds of a John Sumrall interview compared to a Billy Napier interview, they are way different. Way different. I mean, like, John Sumrall, what did he say? He was like, if we don't win X amount of games, I'm gonna jump off Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Like, that is a nut. That man is a nut. And we are from Florida. Florida is known as the crazy state. We need a crazy Florida man. I know he's not from Florida, but close enough. And I am all in on some role. I truly think the people who are, like, still skeptical, skeptic. I truly think the people that are still John Sumroff skeptics Honestly don't know ball. Honestly don't know ball. I was actually at in a sport media conference back in New York City. Was there. Josh Pate was there and asked Josh about what he thought about some wrong. He was like, oh, I'd be all in if I were you. Like, I. I think it's such a lazy take for people to say that John Summerall is the same as Billy Napier. It's like, you clearly haven't done your research, like, at all. Like, he was at a program like Troy and was really able to transform it and had, like, NFL players come out of there that I believe are still in the league. Like, he is a developer of talent and he's very honest. He. He's straight to the point. He doesn't care. He doesn't care if he hurts your feelings. I really think that's a big reason why DJ Lagway left Florida. Because summer I was straight up like, bro, what are you about? Like, I don't care that you made X Amount at nil last year. I don't care that you were the starting quarterback and were deemed the great hope of the Florida Gators. You hadn't done anything. Now, obviously, I don't know what John. That John Sumrall said those exact words, but, like, that's the vibe I get from him, though. Like, he's going to lay it to the point he is not going to beat around the bushes. Like, he's a very honest, brutally honest guy. And that's what these kids need because some of them are just so untitled. That's a whole other video. But I'm just like, we need someone who is going to get work done because this is the university in Florida and I'm sick of not being a serious program. So I'm excited about the Summer all era. I'm excited what he's going to say at SEC media days. He really knows how to, like, command a room, I feel, and that's what I like about him. And then another thing I want to see at SEC media days is what has Georgia changed? You know, I know they want to get back there in the national championship game. They were so close last year. You know, fall into Ole Miss in the semifinals or the quarterfinals rather. And yeah, Gunner Stockton's back, which is exciting for the Dogs. But can they win that national title? Are they confident about that? Because when you. When you've done what Kirby Smart has done, it's national title or bust at Georgia every single year. That is a lot of pressure. And, you know, you don't have Alabama beating down your door like they used to because Saban's retired. So it's Georgia. Georgia. You know, I'm obviously jealous of Georgia fans. Yeah, you made it to the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. Like, oh, what I would give to have that. So I'm excited to see what changes they've made and how confident they are in their team, too. So exciting stuff coming up at SEC Media Days. Do you have any surprises or anything?
