everybody. Welcome in to see ball get ball. May the fourth be with you May 4th I've heard about some people getting married on May 4th and the May the fourth be with you thing. Like I think it's a real thing. Like there's some people with lightsabers and stuff. I never been a Star wars guy. Rhys Davis, my buddy always says like you would love Star Wars. You would absolutely love it if you would actually watch it. It's. It's good versus evil. Never partaken in it. Never never seen a Star Wars. I'm sure you guys can make fun of us in the chat if you want to. We're going to cover a lot of things. We're going to get to some SEC dudes. We got to a lot of teams. We're going to finish it up. We're going to get to Missouri and Auburn and Vanderbilt and Georgia, Oklahoma and Ole Miss are the teams we have left. We'll get to some Post Spring Top 10, some numbers with Mr. Brent Rollins like always. And then we'll get to some AI. AI creeping into the college football world. Is this a good thing by the way? I don't know about y', all, but when y' all talk to AI or use AI, those of you that do, do y' all use your manners really well? I do. Like I make sure I use my manners. So if one day the robots do take over this world like and these guys do raise up or these things do Raise up. Like, I want to be on its good side. So I'm like, hey, Grock, would you please find me this? Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Because if something does rise up, I want to be ready for it. But what you see the shirt, baby, you see the hat? If you can see it. The Pollock family Golf Classic Pollock Family foundation was today year number 10. Wesley, thank you so much for, for riding around with us doing all the, all the taping and filming and Are you exhausted, man? Because that was a long day.
Co-host Wes
It was getting my mic over here. It was an easy day, I thought, because I actually got to keep up with you. And most years I'm trying to figure out where you are. And I was fully prepared today to, like, get your location shared with me so I could track you down, but actually got to ride in the cart with you. And we somehow had the fastest. Like, this was like Fast and the furious souped up nitrous golf cart somehow that they, like, unveiled for us. They keep it in a special part of the garage, I think, and they gave it to us.
Host Brent Rollins
Well, the first one, remember, we jumped on and that thing was sputtering, like out the gates, and we were like, nabra. So we went and got us another golf cart to make sure that we were absolutely cooking with gas and rolling. And then once we got that, we were good. But Wesley was, was what was writing co pilot. And we have. You don't you little, Little golf hack for golf tournaments. You don't use the golf courses golf cart because it shuts off all over the place. No, no, no. We're riding through things. We are going as fast as we want.
Co-host Wes
That will shut you down. The AI on the golf carts is definitely not your friend.
Host Brent Rollins
No, we're going to tee boxes, like, not on them, but as close as possible. We're going as close to greens as possible. We're not going on them and being disrespectful, but we're getting as humanly close as possible. Thank you everybody that came out and supported. All right, I, I, I would love for you to phrase. I want to hear this, this first one, because I think this is going to be an interesting take all over the planet. And it always is and it always brings up a lot of talking points.
Co-host Wes
All right, so we've already talked about Dabo Sweeney and tampering, and, you know, he's been the front runner for this and he's opened Pandora's box. Kind of empowering other coaches to be like, hey, y' all can't do that with our guys.
Host Brent Rollins
And to be really clear, it went nowhere. Like, he, he literally handed the NCAA texts receipts and said, here you go, this is what happened. This is all the details. And the NCAA didn't do anything. And then other people like Troy and company started stacking the, the complaints like it's on the NCAA's desk. And then Troy said, okay, hold on, hold on, hold on. There's dabos. Okay, here's ours. And. And then people started throwing on and. And it did nothing. It did absolutely nothing.
Co-host Wes
All right, so he's back for more. He was on our friend of the show, Greg McElroy's always college football. And here's what Dabo had to say about a few specific guys. He said, we lead the nation in graduation and retention. I'm proud of that. So we do have a culture. We just had 16 guys go to the NFL. All 16 of those guys climps in their whole career. 15 of them are graduates. So that's the culture. But he was specifically talking about Peter Woods, Antonio Williams, Sammy Brown, and a few more guys all being specific tampering targets. And Dabo said, when it relates to that culture, look, our players don't play here for free. They stayed here because of the culture. So my question to you, what's bigger for culture in 2026? The NFL Draft class or the graduation rate?
Host Brent Rollins
Okay, that's a great question. So let's do this. Who is the active coach with the most first round draft picks in all of college football? Dabo Sweeney. How about that? Dabo Sweeney and Kirk or Kirby Smart are the only one with over 20 first round picks. So you just put a bunch of dudes in the NFL. Here's my thing. If I'm Dabo Sweeney and this is going to be different than a lot of people's take out there, I'm a brag. I'm a brag about this till the cows come home. Why wouldn't I? This is, this is, this is something that clearly differentiates my program from yours. Like, this is what we do. Like, what we do is graduate players. What we do is maintain players. Like, what we do is retain players. That people don't leave Clemson for a reason. Let me tell you something. I'll be, I'll take you behind the curtain. I went there a couple months ago with my son. My son's getting recruited by Clemson. And when you sit there and you listen to a meeting and you listen to Dabo go, and Dabo went for like two plus hours straight and Just talked about culture and how they build it. It's special, man. It's special. It's awesome. It's really cool. It's really unique. Graduation rate matters. Retention rate matters. And here's the thing. He's one of the only ones, Wes, that can brag about this. And if I was him, I would keep bragging about it. I would keep bragging about. I'm the, I have the most NFL guy draft picks in my, like as a coach, as a current coach that's in college football, I'm going to keep bragging about this stuff. I'm going to keep bragging about what makes me different. Like, because we're still putting guys now listen, if we want to get, if we want to get technical, west, when you have more draft picks last year than wins in a season, that's also not good. So there's the other side of the coin. But I'm, if I'm a coach and I have the ability to brag about retention and graduation rate when it's over 90%, like that is a feather in my cap. And that's something that I'm just telling you as a dad of a kid that is a recruit now and starting to get recruited by college, that's a great thing to me. Like that says something good about your program, not something negative.
Co-host Wes
All right, that, that leads me into my follow ups though. So the NFL draft class is, is fantastic. But when you have what you mentioned, the lack of wins to show for it with all that talent. And Davos owned up for it. He said, look, we failed, I failed. He took accountability for it. How does Clemson's culture continue to build in 2026? What does Clemson have to do to keep building it? And how do you expect that Dabo and Clemson will respond with all that talent gone?
Host Brent Rollins
Now I think that here's what we know about Clemson. Last year was an anomaly. Like last year was not the norm of what Clemson's been last year. If you look at Clemson, you know they're a team that wins 10 games a year. That's just what Dabo's done. And so not doing that, obviously they take a step back. And what happens when you take a step back now? You become more of a team that gets shots taken at him. And listen, that's what happens. Like that's part of life. So now there are question marks. And I don't think there's anything wrong with having question marks about a program. Like I think it's okay to say, hey, we have question marks where Is this program going? They're going to have to find their quarterback, Wes. Like they're going to have to find him Cade club Nick a couple years ago, man, that dude had an unbelievable season. It's also not a secret too. When you've looked at Clemson football and they have their dude now listen, Chad Morris comes back. I think the offense, the running game becomes a more pivotal part of who they are, of what they are. The diversity, the tempo will be more of what Clemson was when they were great. But the dang sure better find a guy to spin it. And, and when you believe and when you choose to do this and listen, I respect it. I respect Dabo doing it his way. When you choose to say I'm going to let the guys compete that I told could compete and not go replace these guys at quarterback, man, the weight of that, it carries more. And I don't think next year they're going to bounce back and they're going to win 11 games. But I don't expect them to be near what they were a year ago. I do think they still have a ton of talent on their roster. But Brent, I love this because I think you'll have a different opinion, which is a great thing. I love having differings.
Guest Analyst Brent
I have a very different opinion than this.
Host Brent Rollins
Bring it, bro.
Guest Analyst Brent
You care about those things because you are a dad of a son and you want the right things for your kid in the right place to be. The guy who's writing the checks doesn't want 7 and 6 retention, doesn't. Hey, we retained all those guys last year and we were 7 and 6. That's like winning matters. It just does what should matter. It's. You can tout all these things all you want, but if you don't win football games, everything gets scrutinized and like all the stuff that you were talking about, all the, all those things are great but are not necessarily great when you don't win. And they're in a position where they lost a ton of talent, they don't have what appears to be a high level like championship type contending team. Yeah, I think they're going to start.
Host Brent Rollins
Okay.
Guest Analyst Brent
Okay.
Host Brent Rollins
So. So I, I respect everything you just said, big time. And I respect. If you don't know Brett Rollins. By the way, Brent is unbelievable. He does such a great job with all of his stuff where he contributes to PFF on 3. The list goes on of the things that he does really, really well. Did I just say on three, by the way?
Guest Analyst Brent
Yes. Because we can go through the message board for that because I got some, some good ones on that.
Host Brent Rollins
Yeah, sorry, that's my bad. All right. Rivals. Hey, brain fart. Sorry. Long day at the golf course. Really, really hot. All right, let me ask you a question. Okay. Is. Is winning 10 games, 9 games, 11 games, 10 games, 10 games, 14 games, 15 games, 12 games, 14 games. Is that good, Brent, or is that average?
Guest Analyst Brent
No, it's really good. It's just that when. And I'll, I'll. The comment that I wanted to read.
Host Brent Rollins
Well, I just, I want to know if that was really good like it is.
Guest Analyst Brent
But it's the trend. It's always perception. Right. And when you look at program and even the stock market, all that, it's perception. And the perception is, is that it's trending down. And like one person on the. So I went through the article that, that Wes posted and I went through the Clemson TigerIllustrated.com message board and one person says, it's incredible how quickly dabo has transformed from an innovator into an old man yelling at clouds. And then another great comment. So he highlighted this person. MJC3194 highlighted the Dabo calls out for attempting to tamper with Peter woods and Tony Williams. Others he highlighted. And he said maybe we should try it. Just, I mean, it's one of those
Host Brent Rollins
where
Guest Analyst Brent
it's such, it's such a different deal when you, when you go against the grain that the rest of college football is sort of morphing into and you aren't successful.
Host Brent Rollins
Yeah.
Guest Analyst Brent
And, and especially some of the comments that he's made like, this is a big time year. So let me ask you the question.

The last question relates to this. What's more likely that Clemson wins the ACC or they're looking for a new head coach?
Host Brent Rollins
I, I think,
Co-host Wes
Brent, these, these, these. What's more likelys are way too extreme.
Host Brent Rollins
I like it though. I like it because.
Co-host Wes
Way too extreme.
Host Brent Rollins
Wes. I zoomed in my camera, by the way. I stepped up and zoomed in my camera if you want.
Co-host Wes
I know. I was about to mention. I'm proud of you for that, Wes.
Host Brent Rollins
I am very proud of you for that. That, that is a, that, that is two extremes, but that's, I think that's the part of the game that's really, really fun. Like, I think that's, like, there's plenty of people on here that can go out here and play everything safe and say that. Here's the thing, I, I see what you're saying, because 7 and 6, 10 and 4, 9 and 4 ain't 11, 10 and 10, which is what they had the years before. It's not. And it's a different world we're playing in. We're playing in a different world. And here's the thing, Dabo's doing it differently, which you have to respect. Like, I, I respect it. I, I respect the piss out of it. And like you said, I think there's a lot of people that do, but I do think there's a lot of people that don't. And there's a lot of people that are going to say all I care about is the money and the winning. But it's not like Dabos, it's not like they're not paying players. They're paying players, they just pay their best players and they don't believe in paying guys a ton of money to come to your school, which he's not different than, than a lot of people. If he hits on the quarterback, which is a big if, and I don't think it's going to happen this year. I don't think. But I don't think next year, I don't think if he has another season where he, he wins eight games, nine games, I don't think he's going to be fired. So I don't think that's the case. I don't think he'll be fired.
Guest Analyst Brent
And that's it. It's a great test case for existing in the current state of college football. And how much are. Is patience and hey, we have the right guy. We like where our program is. Things like that. Those. Those conversations when you are, say, 8 and 4, 9 and 3, you know, maybe you're 10 and 2 one year and you're just. You just missed the playoff. Something like that versus. Versus the standard he's. He himself has already set. So that's. That's what's hard.
Host Brent Rollins
Yeah, I just. I get it and I think it's a. Those are fair things to say. But when you win as much as he has and when you are the type of leader and the type of man he is, and what you've done at Clemson, like, you got two national titles, bro. Like, you. You got two national titles. And I know everybody says it's dying and listen, they've. They've got to do some things to get more talent and they've got to get some good quarterback play if they want to take that next step to get back. But let's not act like they. They were a bunch of bums when they were. Won the ACC two years ago and they were 10 and 4. Let's not act like they didn't win nine before that and 11 and 10 and 10. And then we can keep going back to 15 and 14, obviously, where it was a different world. Listen, it's a different world we live in in college football now. And like, we're still figuring it out. And. And I think Dabo has some figuring out to do because we're not at 4 anymore. The conference championship isn't all what it used to be anymore, but. But I'm betting on Dabo, let's put it that way. Brent, if it's the. Would you rather like. I'm going to bet on the man, the character, who he is for the future, that that's just how I would play it, just because of. Of what I've seen. But I understand. I understand what people saying. I. I understand. That's okay. All right, we're going to go back to some SEC dudes. We covered a lot of teams last week. If you missed it, go back and watch. It was really, really good. You can do that, like, rate, subscribe, thing west, that thing that's really, really cool that you're supposed to push and we're supposed to talk about. We covered a lot of teams last week. We got a lot.
Co-host Wes
Just.
Host Brent Rollins
What?
Co-host Wes
Yeah, I just want to set the stage for this again.
SpinQuest Announcer
The.
Co-host Wes
The dudes here, the dudes are guys that either are unknowns or they were like on the Scene last year and you already knew who they are, but they're going to level up like they're going through the roof in 20, 26. So these are your dudes.
Host Brent Rollins
All right, so. So the first guy that. I think if you watched football last year and you watched Missouri, the passing game was it left a lot to be desired. Okay. Let's just put it that way. It wasn't the greatest. It could have used some work. But you kept seeing this one dude, this freshman that made plays and you were like, okay, that's nice. Okay, that's nice. Okay, that's nice. And I actually sent Wes the pronunciation for this because I didn't want to butcher it. But Donovan Alubide and I just nailed that, by the way. Just absolutely nailed that. I think, I think, look at me give myself props for something, I think. But when you watched him last year, obviously you had Coleman who was there, who was a guy that left to go the NFL. He was their number one guy. But he, he kept popping as a true freshman. Kept popping and exciting, made plays. But you just saw the potential. I think he's the type of guy that Donovan goes from, you know, 400 yards to closer to a thousand. And I'm interested to watch Austin Simmons just like everybody else. He really struggled at Ole Miss to start. If he comes in and he starts slinging that pill with Hardy and they get a little throw game going, use his athleticism, can it take off. I think this could be good. And, and I think he's the receiver out wide that can put things on the money. And you see him right there on your screen. Like you saw some flashes, man. You saw. It was the one. I remember the 4th down and 10 catch. Like just clutch moment. Like he came up with some big plays, one handed stab. So I think you're going to watch numero uno, ball out. All right, Auburn, there's a lot of people to talk about with Auburn. There's a quarterback that's to me is already broken out. What Wes just told you. Byron Brown's a stud. Like we've seen him beat really, really good teams. We've seen him do the 3,000, 1,000 thing. And if you've been listening to this show, there ain't many people that do that. Like that is not something that everybody does. So he is on another level already. But if we're going to talk about another name, and I think a name that would be really, really big and them taking the next step. Jared Smith coming off the edge, you saw some flashes A year ago. But my gosh, you saw Kendrick, Keldrick Falk just go get drafted in the NFL. He looks just like him. The dude 6, 6, he's 260. He's got length like this dude. He's next in line to be a problem off of the edge. So when you watch him, you see some good things and you see some playmaking. He's going to play a much bigger role. Five star all world recruit, top five at his position. Now take that next step. Auburn's got another guy that goes and gets me some pressures and goes and make some big plays off the edge. That would be big time. Okay, I got one for you. How about a true freshman? This guy's been talked about a lot but that don't mean he has stepped on a field yet. The highest recruit in the history of Vanderbilt football. You think if Pavia hadn't been doing his thing the last couple years, you think if Vanderbilt hadn't stepped up and got a GM and a coach that is forward thinking they would have gotten a top two quarterback in the country? Like some people rated a number one and number two in all people, all classifications, all cycles, all ESPN, 2, 4, 7, all of them. They all talked about Jared Curtis and it was a full court press. When was the last time that you heard about Vanderbilt University beating the University of Georgia for a recruit? Like we gonna have to go in the wayback machine. Jared Curtis is that dude. He's got swag. He's tough man. When I watched him play I just and I watched him play a good bit and I watched his highlights a lot. He's got a lot to learn. But this dude is big, strong, athletic and he's got some mother blank you in him. He's got some. Like when I watched him in high school not run out of bounds and run people over and I think one of the big selling points of why Jared Curtis went to Vanderbilt was to play early. Like I don't think you go to Vanderbilt over Georgia probably. Unless you think you're going to play early. I think we'll see Jared Curtis and you're going to see a lot of wow moments. You're going to see some Tank moments too bro. Like that's he's a freshman. I don't expect him to come on the scene and kill everybody, but you're going to see some wild moments and you're going to see some real ability. And we show you that. That throw right there in the spring game, that's pretty dirty by the way. I Mean, there's some pub fake buy time roll to his left and floated over the top to a. To a receiver. Like, he's got some wow factor in him. All right, this dude. I'm sticking with this dude. Zakai Helton. University of Georgia told you about him how many times we talked about Glover last year. We talked about the big fellow. Juan, listen, this dude's better. Like, just. Just think I said that out loud. Like, I said that out loud. He's. He is going to be an absolute problem on the offensive line. Like, he's got great feet. He's an interesting story coming out of high school because he had some setbacks and was a little bit lower in weight than Georgia players take. Usually, like, on the offensive line, it's usually a lot heavier, but the dude can move, his feet can pull. Got some nasty to him. Some nasty. The guy Helton's going to be an absolute animal. Brent Rollins, you're going to love this one because I'm sure your numbers will be really good for this when we get to it at some point. Oh, you. Cortland Guillory. This guy, we're a little bit behind, but there's a guy. Look at that dude. That's a bad mother. Shut your mouth. Like, bad mother. Shut your mouth. He gonna be a baller, freshman, all American, Might even be an all American. Cortland Guillory, cornerback for ou, Made some plays as a freshman. I'll go on a limb. Brent, you're on the camera, too. I'll go on a limb. Not only will he make some plays, I think he'll be one of the best cornerbacks in the country. Like, I think he'll go. I think he'll go from being a guy that you go, ooh, kind of catches your eye to, who is that? Bad mother. Shut your mouth. Like, that dude is locked down in a defense, by the way. We know this. They're going to play pressure. Like they go. They're going to bring pressure, and he's going to be trusted on an island. Cortland Guillory is going to be an absolute problem for a lot of people all across the country.
Guest Analyst Brent
A lot of pbus as a freshman didn't get any ints, so I bet he. That number goes at least.
Host Brent Rollins
That will change three to four. Yeah, that dude's going to be absolutely bad. You could see the body last year, too. There he is right there. Like, that ain't a. That ain't a college body yet, Right? Like, the weight room hasn't had time to you know, to, to take its toll and to like get that muscle popping yet. Like, he gonna get in that weight room for another offseason. He's gonna be like, oh, okay, I like this. Squatting more, benching more. Put your hands on people, it's gonna mean a little bit more. All right, last guy, Caleb Cunningham, wide receiver, Ole Miss. Trinidad's back, right? The courts win. Trinidad comes back. Ole Miss is very, very happy. Trinidad is one of the best quarterbacks in all of college football. Wherever you want to rate him, he's going to make plays. Somebody's got to make plays for him. All his receiving targets are gone pretty much. I think it's going to be the big bodied, six foot three guy that's going to work with the quarterback. I think Caleb Cunningham is going to come in, make big plays, step up for this receiving core, and he'll be that next guy probably that we're talking about. Like, where did he come from? Like, oh, another guy, Another guy that can run an Ole Miss, that can make plays. That's a big body.
Guest Analyst Brent
Shame on you, by the way, for mentioning 2, 4, 7 instead of on 3 like the company I work for 1 3. So you got to mention the right one was the number three overall recruit.
Host Brent Rollins
Number three.
Guest Analyst Brent
Yes.
Host Brent Rollins
In Vanderbuilder has never gotten one that high. Ever, ever. Like, they've never gotten one within a hundred of that. Like, they've never gotten a top hundred guy. To get somebody like that, man. It shows you what Clark Lee has done. It shows you the way they do business. They're doing it the right way, man. And then getting a Nashville Kid, I think that's really cool too. Like you got a Nashville kid to stay home to be a fan favorite and a dude that's got some of that golly, that was magical.
Guest Analyst Brent
Like Diego Pavia, the arm talent is stands silly. Like it beyond stands out. And it's one the playmaking, all those things. The interesting thing, one point you made about him running over kids, he always looked like he was the biggest guy on the field. He did in high school.
Host Brent Rollins
He did.
Guest Analyst Brent
So that's one where it's like, okay, you needed to dial that back a little bit.

first time in a while. So your opinion My opinion. Okay so spring is done and we last week because of the draft we didn't necessarily get to hit on some of the other spring games that were played but now that most everybody's sort of in the books for spring I wanted to give you my post spring top 10.
Host Brent Rollins
Give it to me brother.
Guest Analyst Brent
In terms of rankings numero uno and a lot of it has to do with some of those spring games. Oregon the Evan Stewart looking like like he did in the spring game. Healthy ready to go. Ready to be a sort of former two headed monster with him and decor and more their defensive line depth Dante Moore back obviously I saw Raula got a ton of run there in the spring game even though he might not necessarily play but so I had Oregon one I'm gonna put Indiana at two even in spite of you know losing Mendoza they actually you don't a lot of leaders come back. I want to see what the running back room looks like. But I too much faith in what Signetti is doing and the program right now to not be there. I got Georgia at 3. I think their defense is going to get back more so to Georgia's standards.
Host Brent Rollins
So you think, you think Georgia's defense goes back to three years ago and sacks go up and takeaways. I think the biggest takeaways has been
Guest Analyst Brent
obsolete and I think Ellis Robinson takes a leap again at corner. More takeaways from him. I think just in general they're going to get a lot more be a lot more sort of havoc creation on the defensive side of the ball for Ohio State offensive line play actually comes in terms of quality but yes, but comes back. I do worry about the receiver room a little bit because if say if Jeremiah Smith goes down for a three week period and their schedule is a little bit more interesting this year but you know something like so I got Ohio State 4 and then Miami 5 mins and the skill guys like obviously they got a place replace four of the five offensive line starters and including top what 15 pick Malinoa. But I went Miami five. So there's. That's one through five. Oregon, Indiana, UGA, Ohio State and Miami.
Host Brent Rollins
Okay, I wrote them down. Can I ask you, can I ask you to be honest with me and ask you and ask you a question?
Guest Analyst Brent
Always.
Host Brent Rollins
How much Texas bias do you think you're showing right now? How much Texas. Let me finish, let me finish. Chill. I know that big brain. I know it's. I know it's already rattling and it's rolling. I'm gonna give you some time here because how many I I will guarantee you right now that Texas is going to have four first round picks. I'll guarantee that. You can write that down. Like I will guarantee that. And I don't know if you disagree with that or not. 4. 4. Everyone stays healthy. 4 first round picks, edge rusher, left tackle, Arch Manning and Coleman at wide receiver. Like it's that good. So tell me the world, why Texas? Besides a little bit of you don't necessarily think something. Okay, what's missing? Why is Texas not in the top five?
Guest Analyst Brent
The bad losses I want to see plus Arch, does he stay healthy because he's going to run. It's just in his nature to run.
Host Brent Rollins
Kenny.
Guest Analyst Brent
I think he will stay healthy. But does he. But also it's just the bad losses. I think their ceiling to me is national championship level ceiling. But with the floor and some of the inconsistencies and you know you should have Lost at Mississippi State. You like at Kentucky, you go lose at Florida. Things, games that they shouldn't sort of play with their food and be competitive. That's. That's the next step for me because, you know, their schedule actually gets a little bit tougher this year.
Host Brent Rollins
I like that. I like that you are willing to buck the norm and go different. I like that you're willing to not have Texas one. Fine. To not have Texas in the top five is. I. I can't get down with that. I cannot get down. You want to see how many more
Guest Analyst Brent
teams we go to? Until I get the text, I'm about
Host Brent Rollins
to say, keep going. Yeah, let's keep going because it's going to get even more asinine.
Guest Analyst Brent
Okay. Six, Notre Dame.
Host Brent Rollins
Most returning production in the country.
Guest Analyst Brent
C.J. carr as a Heisman guy, I think is very much the real thing.
Host Brent Rollins
Yep.
Guest Analyst Brent
Seven, Oklahoma.
Host Brent Rollins
Oh, my gosh. Just keep going.
Guest Analyst Brent
Eight. Eight, Texas.
Host Brent Rollins
Oh, there we go. Hey.
Guest Analyst Brent
And mainly because again, consistency, I think you're gonna. That's. I want to see it. And then. So eight, Texas. Nine. Ole Miss. And I. Ole Miss was one that I was debating higher. But it's obviously a coaching change, offensive change. You. You just mentioned Trinidad's receivers. Not necessarily being all. You know, a lot of them are gone. Stribling was actually picked a lot higher than probably people thought. Oh, went 33rd.
Co-host Wes
Right.
Guest Analyst Brent
Didn't he?
Host Brent Rollins
First. First early in the second round. Yep, yep.
Guest Analyst Brent
And then 10. LSU.
Host Brent Rollins
I like, I like. I like LSU. Listen, if you're going to put somebody up that high, like, I need to know you have talent and they got talent. Like, that's. We need to know if it all
Guest Analyst Brent
figures it out with the Porter world.
Host Brent Rollins
Yeah.
Guest Analyst Brent
Offense is. He's going to score. Like he's going to figure out quarterback. It just. It's just a matter of. And I think them keeping Blake Baker was huge.
Host Brent Rollins
Huge. It's. I think it's blasphemy that you have Texas that low. That would be my biggest. I can't. I can't get down with. Can't get down with that at all. Indiana, I like. I like that you agree with Indiana because let's. Let's be honest. Indiana is not going to be. Talent is not going to drop off. Like, if anything, Indiana's talent is probably going to get better. The question is, can you get that bottled up recipe of greatness? Like. And that was. That was hit beautifully. The. And it's funny because I remember I. Brent, I remember being on the show with you a couple Years ago and you're like, yeah, Indiana's not good enough top end. And they weren't, they weren't good enough top end. And now like you feel comfortable because you've seen a system that you're like, yep, I believe in it. Oregon loses a lot. But listen, if you look at Oregon's defensive front seven, good freaking luck. Like it's going to be like, hey, next freakin next guy that's going to come hit you in the mouth. Dan's got a lot to prove. I love it. Dan's going to be frothing at the mouth hungry. I absolutely love the Ducks being that high. I love that. But you got to give me and listen Ohio State, by the way, four of the top 11 picks. Fantastic. Holy cow, that's crazy. Julian sands a top 10 pick and so is Jeremiah Smith. So they would have had what, maybe six of the top 11. Definitely would have had another one. Jeremiah Smith would have been in that mix. So Julian Sain's going to be in that mix too. You talk about talent in Miami. I love what you did with Miami. I think Texas has to be over Miami and some other squads. I think I love what they did last year too. The edge rushers are still going to be good. The defensive line is still going to be good. I think that's one area you go, is there a drop off? You know, but man, Keante Scott was so freaking good at football and I wonder about that and replacing those guys and getting lightning in a bottle and hitting it again with. But I don't, I don't worry about the offense because if you looked at Brian Haynes comment By the way, Indiana D.C. talked about who was best, schematically he said Miami. Yeah, he said Miami. So that shows you. And listen, Baby Jesus didn't go nowhere. And that's sacrilegious. I ain't going to do that. I know that's his nickname. But Malachi, Tony is still going to be there and he's a baller. He's got more help than he had and he's got a better quarterback than he did. It's really, it's really. Now the offensive line, how good are they? Because last year they were just different and a lot of those guys are absolutely gone.
Guest Analyst Brent
So have one question as it relates to because and I've seen various later today I saw a bunch of different top 25s, top 10s, top 15s, whatever that may be. And it's a lot of the same teams, it's just in varying orders. However, you Feel, to put it so given that, like, because we looked and went into last year where we almost put in pin eight to nine teams in the playoff before the season started. Included in that is, you know, with Penn State and Clemson. So who is out of that group of 10 that I just listed? How do you feel about today? Like, who would you say who's most likely to be that? Because even in two years ago, Michigan and Florida State were everybody's top 10.
Host Brent Rollins
Yeah.
Guest Analyst Brent
Fell off the cliff. Bama and Ole Miss, even when it went in a way in that year was, you know, they had good years, but they just were in the cusp of the playoffs, but they sort of fell back even. I was trying to think one more. Texas, kind of a little bit last year. But who's most likely to be that this season where it's like mid October, 1st of November, you're like, crap, they're already. They're no shot in terms of making the playoff.
Host Brent Rollins
I think Ole Miss. I think if you. I know Trinidad. I love Trinidad. I know it was special, the run that they put together. And listen, they could have easily beaten Miami and play for the national championship. There's just a lot to replace, and now it's Pete Golding's culture. And I'm not saying there's going to be things that he does better than Lane, like, 100%, but there's just a lot to. A lot to. A lot to overcome and a lot to do, a lot to replace, a lot to ask of him. And if he. Listen, if he does it again, holy cow. Like, wow. Like, he goes into a different stratosphere of what you think of Pete Golding and how he can recruit. But I think Ole Miss would be the first one that jumps off the mat. What about this? Do you think Georgia can be better this year and have more losses? Because Georgia last year played unbelievably well down the stretch of games. Like, remember, Tennessee could have been a loss. And listen, there's always these games, but Ole Miss could have been a loss. Like, there was a lot of games where they pulled it out, man, and there's something to that. And now Gunner comes back, obviously, and you feel more confident in him. And I'll say what I said again for the 100th time for everybody to make it, make sure I say it louder for the people in the back. I said Georgia won't win a national championship unless Gunner gets better. Everyone on this roster has to get better. So I'll say it about all of them. So that wasn't a critique in saying Gunner wasn't good enough for some folks that like to say that, but it
Guest Analyst Brent
was kind of like water's wet type thing. Yeah, whatever. Two, two stand out for me in that realm. One is Oklahoma because you got to go at Michigan, at Georgia, Texas in three of your first five games. If you know something goes wrong there, maybe you might be better as a team, you might be more talented across the way, you might have a better run game and still lose the games that you didn't necessarily lose a season ago. And the other one, for me, that is, it's, it's almost in a sacrilegious in a way. But Ohio State, Ohio State this year has something that they haven't had in a long time and that is a schedule that will consistently challenge them. Where you've got to go at Texas, at Iowa, at Indiana, at usc, Oregon, at Nebraska in late November, I'm here

Guest Analyst Brent
That's not, it's not necessarily gonna be easy. And then Michigan, that's one where just think, like I said, if Jeremiah Smith tweaks a hamstring or, you know, an ankle or something like that, and he's gone for a month, what's their offense look like? How, how much is, how vital is he to their success? Because last year they had tape like he had other guys that could do things for them. So that's one where I'm like, can
Host Brent Rollins
they, can they hit lightning on the bottle again? Because last year defensively to replace all they replaced and have all that talent Better. Like, that is insane. And Patricia deserves so much credit, and I love his system. But you also look at the draft and there's a reason why, like, when you got a guy at safety that can go anywhere and you got a cyborg at linebacker, those are two top 11 picks, right? Like, those are. Those are dudes. And then Obviously, you know, McDonald goes in the second round, who's an absolute dude in the middle. Like, there's a lot to replace for sure, but
Guest Analyst Brent
there do.
Host Brent Rollins
What.
Guest Analyst Brent
So Texas is the big disagreement there?
Host Brent Rollins
Yeah, Texas is a big disagreement for me. I mean, you know, it's interesting that I hear what you're saying, but how many top 10 wins did Texas have down the stretch last year? Like, when Arch got better, they had two top 10 wins just in the last couple of games. So I know you want to point to the middle and people want to point to the middle, but, man, oh, man, I tell you what, man, the more I've watched, and this is loser season, so now you're kind of watching stuff back, like, as much fun as you can to start to break things down. And we're going to do this stuff on social media. We're going to do some tips, tape stuff, which I think will be fun. But, like, Arch makes a few. Arch makes four or five plays a game that you go, wow, that was impressive. And I think the biggest thing that people will be talking about next year is a year more Brent, bigger and stronger. He does a. He fills up in that pocket, and he shows strength and courage in that pocket. Like, he does a really good job with that. Where most people don't do a great job with that. Like, that's tough. Literally tough. And he's. He showed me. He showed me enough last year. And I love the way he handled the hard. Like, to know that the guy, like, he handled the hard. The suck. And he just. He took it in stride. By the way, my apologies to Texas. I did not have a Texas player for next year. I can't take Cam Coleman because to me, that's too big of an obvious one. But it's what me and Brent talked about. And Brent raised this question. I don't think he's going to do better than Cam Coleman, but Ryan Wingo, who was there a year ago, now, he's going to have a lot more space, a lot more fun, a lot more playmaking because he's going to have his speed, his ability, his running backs are going to be better players, more explosive like Arch Manning is going to be better. Wingo is going to get a lot of big plays. He's going to have a ton of splash plays and a ton of production. He's not going to be the number one, but he's going to be in a position to put up number one type numbers. And so I think you'll hear Wingo's name a lot and it'll be that guy that, like, man, that dude's so much better. And sometimes it's just as simple as he's playing with better players. Like, that really helps, really helps you get better. All right, this next one, this is interesting. Wes, you want to set it up?
Co-host Wes
Yes, sir. All right, so the Athletic had one of these anonymous off season stories where they talked to a couple coaches about how they're doing things. And this one's about scouting, using AI. And look, no matter what you do, you're listening to this show. AI has touched your job, it's touched your career. You're looking for ways to use AI to either help you not lose your job or help you get a promotion or a raise, right? So two sides to this coin. An anonymous power four coach and an anonymous group of six coach, whatever the number is these days, they're using AI to scout potential college football players. All right, so the Power 4 coach says they've got a group of alums that have built an AI agent that watches film. My money is this is on. Like, this is like Georgia Tech or somebody. What other alums?
Host Brent Rollins
They engineered it.
Co-host Wes
What other alums you trusted to spend the time to build an AI thing to scout players, but also a group of six saying that instead of watching 5,000 kids who I have no clue who's good enough, who's not, we filter it down to a thousand.
Host Brent Rollins
So that was the quote, Wes. That was the quote that stuck out to me. Like, okay, first of all, everybody's finding this AI is curating their job, making it easier. Like, it's taking out some of the monotonous. So now they're saying, okay, first of all, if you know anything about AI, you, if you teach AI what to look for, it becomes better, right? Like, you teach it what's important to you. Like, you teach it what you're looking for specifically. And I actually did this thing with my buddy, shout out to Nate May, who can do this? It's unbelievable. They are like, he can put like a basically a filter on your AI that says, this is what I stand for. Hey, go read the Bible. Like, this is my morals. This is how I talk. This is, I want to use Trusted this, trusted that, trusted sources. So you can kind of curate AI and teach it. So now they're telling me that you can teach it to see size, can you teach it to see arm length? Can you teach it to see bend? Can you teach it to see heart? Like, there's a lot of things that I'm asking AI to find for me, and there's a lot of things that these guys are looking for. Hey, how's the change of direction? Like, I would love to know. Does it measure the time when you stick your foot in the ground, when you go with lateral agility?
Co-host Wes
I'm here to tell you, I use AI for video just to help us find the clips for the show, okay? And I had to spend a lot of time to even teach it to do that. Okay? So now look, this is a powerful program. It's got engineer alums. Apparently, they might be using the best AI that you possibly can that can track it. My question, though, think of some of the names from the past several years that would have fallen through the cracks of that AI that fall through the cracks of. Of the human eyeball there. If you're a college Coach, whether you're Power 4 or Group of 6, I'm asking you hypothetically here. Are. Are you more fired up to try to hammer out something like this, or are you like, heck, no. I'm gonna use the guys I trust, and I'll let those other nerds rely on their computers because I know I'm gonna find that diamond in the rough, because I know I'm hiring the best guys that can do it.
Host Brent Rollins
Yeah, that's. So did you just call Brent a nerd, by the way? Is that what you just did? Yeah. Using those other nerds. I think it's just like everything else. You gotta find a way to use AI you gotta find a way to save time. And I think it was important that it said, like, from 5,000 to 1,000, not like every, not to top 10, not the top hundred. And I think you. I think you. I think you use it. I think you use it as a tool, but it can't be the everything, because AI is not going to tell you what kind of character they have. AI is not going to tell you their culture. You're still going to get the meetings and stuff like that, but it's going to be listening. I think it's just like everything else. Listen, Wes, we also saw AI making highlight videos on Huddle that we talked about months ago. Like, people using AI to cheat and basically make them look Faster and make more plays. So I guess AI can detect that. AI like AI?
Co-host Wes
Yeah, exactly.
Host Brent Rollins
So, I mean, it's. It's a part of the world that we've got to know and, and as we. I, I just want to keep learning about it, so. I know, but you want to get to who on the weekend? Or you got some more AI thoughts for me, man?
Co-host Wes
No, I, I don't have any more to follow up on what you said. AI is the best, man. Like it. It can do no wrong. It's the. It's the greatest thing ever.
Host Brent Rollins
We love you, Zach.
Co-host Wes
AI, we love you.
Host Brent Rollins
You're so good for us. Like, we love you. Thank you so much for helping us.
Co-host Wes
My winner of the weekend is Golden Tempo at the Kentucky Derby. I know it's a horse and we talk about human athletes here a lot of. But that video, dude, of Golden Tempo, worst of first. Yeah, man. How cool is that? And by the way, young Kate Blankenship, two years in a row picking the winner. How about that?
Host Brent Rollins
Well, why, does your dad put something on that?
Co-host Wes
Yeah, well, you know, I mean, do I have any choice now, though? In 27.
Host Brent Rollins
That is freaking fantastic. All right, Brent, who you got? Who won the weekend?
Guest Analyst Brent
So does the name Eric Zire ring a bell to you? Of course.
Host Brent Rollins
How do you not know who Eric. How do you know who Big Z is?
Guest Analyst Brent
All right, Georgia quarterback.
Host Brent Rollins
Great.
Guest Analyst Brent
He has a nephew who's a pretty good athlete himself, and this fall will be going to University of West Georgia to play football. However, though he is finishing up his senior season at Morgan County High School, which is about 30 minutes south of us, playing baseball. So in baseball, with the state playoffs, it's three game series, so Morgan county played Stevens County. They split the first two games. They go to game three. Morgan county is down three to nothing in the bottom of the seventh inning. They score seven unanswered, the last four being Davis Strickland walk off grand slam granny to send his team to the next round of the playoffs. Like, how is that as a moment as a high school kid to hit a walk off grand slam in the playoffs before you go play college, do
Host Brent Rollins
we bat flip it. We had to bat flip, right?
Guest Analyst Brent
I think so. I mean, but I know there was a lot of helmet flipping and. Yes. Oh, he threw that thing way in the air.
Co-host Wes
Good.
Host Brent Rollins
You should, by the way. I get, I get. I don't get upset, but I'm just like, why are we. Why are we getting upset with kids that celebrate? I have no problem with celebrations.
Guest Analyst Brent
Hey, games, sports, as Long as they're
Host Brent Rollins
not, you know, taunting.
Guest Analyst Brent
Taunting.
Host Brent Rollins
Just have fun.
Guest Analyst Brent
Yeah.
Host Brent Rollins
Flip the bat up. So be it. All right, well, that's a good one. That's a really good one. No more baseball, Brent. You're banned from baseball for a little while. But I mean, Brent chose baseball. West chose horses. So we'll go with golf. Why not? We're going to go with Terramore Development, Ethan Barbour's team, by the way. Mr. Mr. Mr. Tight end at University of Georgia. The next guy who's going to be absolutely a freak show. Brit. His handicap is like a three. He's been playing golf since he was like eight years old. And when I say pure, pure, like ridiculous. So not only is he a hammer and want to destroy people on the football field, he hammers a golf ball like unbelievably well. And Josh and company win the tournament. Terramore is the sponsor of the tournament and they take home the belt, the championship, the cup. And he brought his 10 year old son, which was so cute. He was out there, got the trophy at the end, got the ball. But big time week, big time. Huge throwdown at the Pollock family Foundation golf tournament year 10. It was fantastic. Appreciate you guys joining us. We'll be back on Wednesday. We're going to continue, man with our, with our list of coaches. So we don't have many left. Wes, how many we got left by the way? I think we have like three or four tops. We got Lane Kiffin, James Franklin, Pete Golding. Who else do we have left of a guy that took a Power 4 job?
Co-host Wes
We had Gillesch when he was at South Florida so we need to get him again when he's at Auburn. By the way, follow up on your golf classic today. I have a source who tells me that Reggie Brown was still out playing on the Georgia Club golf course as of 7:15pm tonight.
Host Brent Rollins
Good downtown Reggie Brown. Good for him. Grind, grinding, getting it done. Reggie's a heck of a golfer. Heck of a human too by the way we're talking today. I think he's been to all 10 for us. So thankful for Reggie Brown. Thank for all you guys. Appreciate y' all joining in. Do that rate like subscribe thing here on cball. Get ball. Wes, Brent, Pollock. See you guys later. Peace.
