And how about that Pollock interception in the end zone?
David Pollock
Well, it's David Pollack and I think people are going to learn what kind of ball player he is. He's got a heart of a lion. I'm real proud of that kid.

What up dudes? We're live last week of the college football season. Hope everybody had a good Thanksgiving. Friday kicks off and I think we thought some craziness was going to happen and we were right. Like man rivalries are so much fun. Like the level of pad popping and intensity, it just raises up just a little bit. And I bet tomorrow is going to be absolutely bananas. I think we're just getting started. We're just scratching the surface. We'll handle the first big upset a little bit later. But I think we start with Ole Miss. Lane Kiffin's been the story of college football. Lane Kiffin and company take care of Mississippi State. It wasn't the most pretty game in the world. You're sitting there, I'm literally looking at. It's crazy because I was looking at Iowa and Nebraska, and you're like, shootout, sure. Of course. I had 24 points at the half. That's like a game for most of the time for them. And then you got like 14 to 10. Mississippi State and Ole Miss. 11 regular season wins for Lane Kiffin. First time in school history has been done. How about this, dude? They had two returning starters coming into the season.
Brent Rollins
Two.
David Pollock
And we've talked about Trinidad Chambers a lot. And man, oh, man, does he deserve a ton of credit. And, man, does Lane and Billy Glasscock, their gm, deserve a ton of credit for finding him. Sitting down with Billy earlier this year. And he said, saw him on Twitter, put his name on Twitter, was like, oh, we need a backup quarterback. That's. That's how they found Trinidad Chambliss, their starting quarterback. And he came in and delivered the Lane watch continues. The Lane train is. Is. Is in the fast lane. It's still moving. We're still talking about him. He said after the game, a lot of praying to do before Sunday, which are Saturday. Excuse me. Which is the reported decision, which is tomorrow. So, you know, nothing to. Nothing to announce on that front. Even though I love that they continue to try to ask him. I think they interviewed Lane after every quarter. You know, usually it's like alternate coaches. I don't think we saw Jeff Levy, like, he just kept seeing Lane time and time again because I think that was the. Obviously one of the big stories, but we do know that Florida's out of the running. But more importantly for Ole Miss, like, congratulations. In the College Football Playoff, probably hosting a home game. And how awesome is that? Like, how awesome is that? Unbelievable job. Trinidad goes for over 350. You know, hey, Brett, I saw the stat. They showed this on the. On the broadcast. Over 300 passing. Over 50, rushing. The list of guys that are on that list with Jaden. Jaden Daniels from. From LSU won a Heisman Trophy. Six. Six games like that. Johnny Football had four Trinidad Chambers has four 300 pass, 50 rush games. Like, this dude has been absolute gold. Like, you don't find guys like this. He's appealing to the ncaa, which is crazy because every time you appeal to the ncaa, you will, you will win. So Ole Miss, depending on the future of where Lane is, you're going to have Trinidad again for another season. But another unbelievable performance. He had some rough moments where he missed some guys deep, but then towards the outside of the field, just dropping buckets, dropping the ball in a tight bucket late in the game, doing everything. He's the reason, man, like they're here because of that dude right there. That little dude.
Brent Rollins
Yeah, that's exactly what we said to start the season, right? That Ole Miss. Yeah, I was like, ole Miss is going to make the playoffs and it's going to be because of the quarterback is going to be great. The little guy got that right. Not the, not the guy that we thought it was going to be. But how about the receivers making plays for them in this game though? Stribling 1, 4, 4 for four receptions on four targets. Three of three of them could test the catches. Like big time catch after a big time time catch and then the long pass and then another one I thought about was, was Harrison Wallace the, the transfer from Penn State? I bet he's, I looked at his numbers now his numbers are almost exact carbon copy of what he was at Penn State a year ago. But he's 11 and 1 and going to the playoff and his former team is not. But you know, Lane, you talked about Lane. He, he might have to pray another night or at least wait till, you know, wait till Sunday unfolds because if Alabama loses, Ole Miss might be in the SEC championship game. So that could be. Make things a little more interesting.
David Pollock
And listen, we, we've talked about here on the show and this isn't the time to, to continue it, but this is literally the stupid, the stupidest thing. And the NCAA does a lot of stupid things. The fact that we're dealing with the calendar that we're dealing with is the dumbest thing you'll ever see. Like, it's literally the same comparison that we've talked about. It's like the NFL having free agency, having the draft, having the playoffs all at the same time. That's literally what you're about to experience. It's the dumbest calendar in the history of sports. And if we go another year with it, it's stupid. There's plenty of other things I want to change too. Like, and we've talked about the group of five team, you know, taking a spot. Like we can get rid of that, the seating we fixed, but the bracket, there's more things to discuss. You know, Mississippi State, you talked about it, Brett, in the preview. You talked about how we, we might see Taylor and we saw Taylor to start early and often. And how about this? Mississippi State, number one in the country in scoring on opening drives this season. They do it every time, man. It's crazy to watch them. Like, Levy always has a plan. And I thought Taylor, he's a 6 foot 4, 230 pound freshman. They beat out a lot of people to get this sucker. And he's a big, strong kid that can run. He's put on a bunch of weight. And the middle of the field was dink and dunk palooza. They really just. He attacked the middle of the field and then he punched it with a run. And I thought Ole Miss did a really, really good job of changing it up, taking the middle of the field away, reading eyes, making it a little bit more difficult. And it was difficult for him to make plays. He was the highest recruit that Mississippi State has ever had in the history of their school at quarterback.
Brent Rollins
And so he looks, he looks the part too. And his, his ability to keep plays alive. Now, I think in this game, it introduced a lot of variability, a lot of just sort of uncertainty, but that's both good and bad. Like, there were certain plays that he kept alive and made good plays, but there were other plays where it's like, yeah, not so great.
David Pollock
Well, and they're not, it's not like they're setting the world on fire up front like the offensive line. And that's one thing that for Ole Miss last year. Listen, Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin and company. The reason they've taken the next step, it had nothing to do with their offense. Their offense has always been good enough. It's their defense. Last year their defense got so good, right? Like so good. Was so dominant in the trenches. And this year the defensive line started off okay. Remember the Arkansas game, just giving up a bunch of points and they've started to kick it in gear. The pass rush has gotten better. Their games have gotten better up front, their tackling has gotten better. So this is a group that the defense has come along and you still got those big defensive linemen that are a problem. You got a good mixture of guys that, that you got to block consistently. They couldn't block him up front. And, and Kewan Lacey deserves more and more credit as the Year goes on just the balance again. I'm going to continue to compare him to Derek McFadden because exactly what he looks like. It's exactly what he looks like. Like number two, same number. The long strides, the ability to make you miss and house it, like make big plays. They didn't even attempt to run the football against Georgia. It was just like pass, pass, pass. I wonder if they had that mulligan back and they had a chance to, to throw the football a little bit more. If that would have made, if that would have changed that one outcome. But unbelievable season for Ole Miss. Like, unbelievable season. Taking out Tech, taking out their rival Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl. It wasn't close. And remember, just to put a bow on this Mississippi State, they don't go to a bowl. They got an SEC win. They beat Arizona State, who beat Texas Tech. So another common opponent with Ole Miss and Texas Tech. Just saying. Interesting to, to look at that dynamic too because they say they look at it right like. And that was, that was a beat down. So. And now everything turns to, to Lane Kiffin.
Brent Rollins
Watch.
David Pollock
And it's. I don't have a clue. I don't have a clue what's going to happen. I'm pulling for Ole Miss as, as a, as a, as a fan of Lane Kiffin, as a fan of the sport. I just think it's good for him to be happy. I think it's good for him to, to. I think it'd be great for him to stay at Ole Miss. I don't know if it's going to happen, but at least Ole Miss takes care of the Egg Bowl. They finish on a hot note. Hopefully they have their coach going into the playoffs.
Brent Rollins
They are definitely going to the playoff, that's for sure.
David Pollock

All right, next we're going to go to Kansas, where, my gosh, you know, things we've learned on C ball, get ball. Don't bet on Duke, right? Like Duke is going to betray you, right? They're gonna, they're gonna shoot their own foot off. Well, we need to add Kansas into this mix because Kansas had a lot of opportunities early. Utah wins 3,121. Dampier has three touchdowns. But. But the story of the game was, was Kansas in the, in the red zone? Like they were an absolute train wreck. You know, it was, it was bad time and time again. Jayden Daniels would get them down there and they would absolutely shoot themselves in the foot, not take care of business. You know, Utah, here, here's what I want to say because, because I gave Utah a lot of crap last week, rightfully so, because they got ran over time and time again and it was frustrating to watch Utah at least did something like the last two games, they've made plays with the game on the line. Like, credit to them. Like, I don't, they don't look like a great team. They, they there's plenty of holes to poke at. They didn't play their best game, but they have a pick six when they need it. Like Kansas misses a field goal in the red zone, they get another pick in the end zone or in the red zone or in the end zone. Another pick inside the 20 as well. They're making plays when they need to make plays and so they deserve credit for that. Smith, Smith, Snowden did it and they run the football enough. But it was dampier in the passing game. Like in the fourth quarter. They had the two bomb plays late in the game. The cojones to. To call. I didn't know if they would do it, Brent. I honestly didn't think they would. I thought Utah would run that football, try to run the clock out. But on fourth down, everybody bites on Kansas. Damp here, looks like he's going to run it. Drops back, comes forward, drops back a second, makes the big fourth down play and gets the big touchdown. Was it third? Yeah, third and four or five. But makes the big. Makes the aggressive call, the big time play when they need it. That's play like 70, 67 and 72 yards in clutch passing plays by damn Pierre. When they really need it. From a guy that doesn't. Doesn't consistently move the sticks, he makes, he makes errant throws throughout a game. But game on the line when Utah really, really needed it, he made the big plays and they deserve that credit.
Brent Rollins
And their offense is so hard to stop in those situations because of how they have extra O linemen and then always use extra bodies with the QB run game or sort of wildcat type run game. So hard to stop because they're going to get three and four at a time and that late in the game there once they got the lead it was just like, okay, you got no shot. But Jalen Daniels, at least he did a little bit of a Lloyd Christmas and redeemed himself after the. After some horrible picks. You hit some bombs and they scored quick. But no one. That was a phenomenal call on third down. Now we'll say from a playoff perspective with what happened today or what just happened tonight and potentially with Vandy, Miami's already jumped in that game control number that was keeping. I think Utah up there. Ticks down, ticks down like that. Took a, took a hit. Took a hit a little bit tonight or today.
David Pollock
I don't think, I don't think. I don't think Utah's in.
Brent Rollins
No, no, I don't either.
David Pollock
I don't. I would be fine with Texas moving Above them. Like, we'll talk about that in a few. But I don't know that I don't think Utah should be near. I don't think they're playing good football at the end of the season. I think they're playing their worst football at the end of the season. And listen, injuries are a part of it. They made plays in the passing game and. But defensively, this is not the defensive unit that we're used to with Utah. It's just not. The speed is not there, the physicality. I mean, you can run off the tack, run off tackle and run off edge if you want to ad nauseum. So it's. It wasn't good.
Brent Rollins
All right. Like Vandy and Texas, I think could.
David Pollock
Potentially jump them, but after giving almost 500 yards rushing up and then to give up, they give up three right at 300 this week. If Kansas doesn't shoot themselves in the red zone like this and miss a field goal and do stupid things like. And Kansas fourth quarters have been disasters this year, like absolute Brent in five of the last six games, they haven't scored in the fourth quarter. Like coming into this game where they completely imploded. So rock chalk, Jayhawk. You know what the good news is, baby? It's hoop season, baby. It's hoop season. That, and they got a really good rock. And really, they got really good team every single year. All right, let's go to the Georgia Bulldogs. This was probably the least expected of them all. Like, I expected Kansas to be in the game. I expected Texas to. To compete and picked him to win. I expected, you know, I expected all the games to be somewhat close. You know, I expected Ole Miss to win. That wasn't a shock. I think that they were favored. But Georgia's offense was absolutely humming coming into this game. Like a lot of belief, a lot of good, a lot of confidence with Gunner. And this felt like after we had turned the corner and you'd gone in the other direction, this felt like Georgia's early season offense. You know, Gunner was worst game of the season. He was 11 for 21 for 70 yards, one touchdown, one bad interception. Early kicked in a bunch on the ground rushing, but the offense was out of sync and moving forward. Now, spoiler alert.
Shaquille O'Neal
They're.
David Pollock
They're going to play in the SEC championship game, which means, you know, something else happened. A big injury on the offensive line. Georgia pounded the rock. Georgia was really, really physical. The run game was. Was good. And they. They only had 260 yards, but obviously almost all of it Came. Almost all of it came on the ground. But Nate Frazier looked great. Gunner Stockton looked good running the football. But the passing game was. Was okay. And I think the Drew Bobo injury is going to be a big deal. And I don't know how long he's going to be out, but he was in a boot and the offensive line play went down. This game got really close. It got really tight. But if I'm a Georgia fan, I'm really disappointed in the offense. I'm really upset. But I'm really encouraged by the defense because it continues to do this. The Georgia defense, man, like, they had eight sacks in the last three games, which they had eight before that the rest of the whole season, right? So they're starting to trend in that direction. Pressure the quarterback. This is a Haynes King offense that nobody's been able to stymie. Nobody's been able to slow down. And they more than slowed it down. I mean, they, they gave up nine yards in the second quarter. The only drive over 40 yards was late in the game when they got a field goal. They didn't give up a touchdown to this offense that's been absolutely lights out. Like, it was an impressive performance by the Georgia defense. The pass rush alive. So the special teams, Peyton Woodring, like, he's as automatic as it gets every time he rolls out there. Like, the tights don't do it for me. I'm not going to lie. It's not our boy from Oklahoma that wears the. The short shorts that are. That are with no pads and you can see 12 inches above the thigh. But he. He makes every field goal that he kicks. He's. He's unbelievable. So. But Brent, man, I thought it was a great defensive performance. I think a lot to praise in that defense, the way they've continued to just get better and better as the season going on, specifically rushing the passer. But I guarantee you, I guarantee you Charles Barkley style that the Bobo comments were being dropped. And everybody was disappointed in what they saw from this offense because it was. It was really bad. And I can't wait to go watch the tape and watch what Georgia Tech did. I know they dropped a ton of guys in coverage, like a ton of guys over the middle, made gunner pull the trigger in a lot of zone coverage, which I think you've seen that. That's when he gets a little bit hesitant. So you got to pound them out of zone coverage, right? You got to pound the rock. Pound the rock and use angles and use, use, use your gu. Want. But Georgia Tech Did a great job stopping the passing game.
Brent Rollins
The. The early interception from Gunner after that. And. And I think this goes back to something that I thought early in the season, the first couple games, he was very much. I want to be risk averse, almost overkill. Risk averse. And it would pull down, his eyes would come down, pull down and run quickly. Once the interception happened first. And then the. The batted ball. I don't know if there was. They were sort of back almost picked that if it wasn't batted, would have been a pick 6 like E. Unless the DB drops it because DBs do drop easy picks. But that would have been a pick six. And it's like that he went into a shell. And there's this element of Gunner that it seems like in these, you know, early in the season at home and then in this game, the first time he's played in this rivalry where it's like, okay, I need to not mess up versus go play and win the game. But once that batted ball, that would have been a pick sick happened and then the Bobo injury, the combination of that like there was. It was. All right, let's shut. We're only throwing quick screens or we're throwing deep balls. Well, and they wrote a Branch that he made on a third down. That branch made a heck of a catch sort of going like this. That was the one furthest ball he threw down the field. That wasn't just a straight go ball. So it was a.
David Pollock
Okay, Brent. That throw, when you watch the replay, I guarantee you thought just like me, okay, he's wide open. So instead of using your driver like use the six iron. You can still drive the football if you want to put a little air out in front of him. And Branch walks in the end zone. Like he absolutely walks in the end zone. So Kirby said it at half walking off the field when he was talking to Shockley. I was listening to it on the radio. He said, he goes, we got to get our quarterback comfortable and confident again. And that's where Georgia started the season. It's a really bad sign when you're ending the season like that because that defense for Georgia Tech is. It's very ungood. Very ungood. So we'll give you more breakdown on the tape because I really want to see what they did. I saw the simulated pressures and I saw some guys come home, they pressured him, they hit him. Obviously, the mistake. But even the run game, man, like early, you know, running the old Stetson Bennett play, right? Like the. The. The blocking down and getting to the Edge and running your quarterback and you, you got him hit early. I, I don't like how many times he got hit, to be honest. Like, he got, he got whacked around. Like, that's not ideal and that's not what you want.
Brent Rollins
It's funny, like, I was talking to some coaches on the sideline before the game and they were kind of commenting about how quick this game might go.
David Pollock
Oh, my gosh. Yeah.
Brent Rollins
And it was really quick. And it was almost like Brent Key and Kirby met like before the game. Was like, hey, you run it, I'll run it. Let's let the clock run. We'll get to halftime. We'll just kind of really quickly and then, then we'll decide the game in the second half because I want to go watch Texas A M kind of thing. It was like. It was almost like that was a pre game handshake, you know, gentleman's handshake in a way, because that game went by in a heartbeat early in the game. But defensively, like the interception that Ellis Robinson made, that was dirty. You can't, you can't teach that crap at all.
David Pollock
Great full extension, like, looked like a receiver. It was. It was really nice.
Brent Rollins
Georgia did it and like Haynes King shut down and they. That doesn't happen defensively. Like it was. And it was shut down. It wasn't. Nothing was easy for them. And they did a great job to me of in certain formations and in certain motions of bringing free rushers and knowing that, hey, this is what's going to happen. Where it was kind of almost, you know, a lot of pre tape work, a lot of mental work. And they did a great job of getting those guys free and creating negative plays, creating the ball had to come out quick early for them. Totally out of rhythm for Georgia Tech. And you know, that's the thing you want to feel good, you feel good about if you're a Georgia fan, because, yeah, the offense. Yeah, not so much today.
David Pollock
Hey, y'. All. Y' all keep going in the chat, man, this is amazing. Y' all go at each other and so. And so sucks. And so and so sucks. It's amazing. Y' all keep having fun, calling each other drunk. And I can't see these. I mean, that's comments anymore. That's amazing.
Brent Rollins
I remember last year, last year we had the, the. The title in the video on the YouTube thing, it said hate Week Reaction. I think that's an apropos name. This is very much kind of a Hate Week kind of thing, but it was definitely a Georgia Home game like it was Georgia.
David Pollock
You knew when it went to the Dome that's what was going to happen. But, but, but here's the thing. You have ugly games. You survive in advance rivalries. But, but here's the thing. Here's the thing I'm going to tell you about this. The Drew Bobo injury is a big deal because Drew Bobo is one of the smartest players on the field. He's always downfield making plays. When he pulls around and makes plays, he makes them. He finds guys, he hits them. He makes a lot of the checks up front on the line of scrimmage. Now when you have Malachi Toliver in there, it's not his fault, but he's not Drew Bobo. And I mean, just one hasn't changed. Yeah.
Brent Rollins
Like they've rotated everywhere else and put all these different combinations. He's been the constant.
David Pollock
He's been the constant. And I think that's, that's a big deal for them, man. That's a big deal. That's a huge deal. If you're going to put him level of importance of players to lose, he's really, really out there. So that's not.
Brent Rollins
But hey, 11 and 1 in the regular season.
David Pollock
11 and 1.
Brent Rollins
The way they didn't think that.
David Pollock
No, that was incredible. All right, now let's go. We're going here. I don't know where Wes wants us to go because I've lost track. But here's what I'm going to go to. The battle of the seven and fours. Iowa and Nebraska. The weather was absolutely Big Ten weather. It was fantastic. Snow flurrying down, ugly game. Not, not, not the greatest in the world. But, but Iowa making plays. Gronowski making big plays in the, in the throw game, which was great. Him making plays in the running game. The Iowa offense looked really, really good. We didn't set up the first, you know, one of the, one of the big scores. But here's the, here's what's crazy, man. You want a crazy stat. Iowa now eight games they've won in every full season since 2015. Kirk Ferencz is a stud man. Iowa fans, you can complain, you can say whatever you want. That dude has been one of the best coaches in college football. To do it with consistency at your school. It would be a sad day when that dude's gone because things are going to change. It won't be the same. The way he develops players and talents, talent, the way they run the football, the way they're disciplined, the way they're tough Special teams always, you know, does a great job and finds a way and region's been that guy this year. But they haven't scored in the 30s in the last six games versus Nebraska. They had 24 at the half. They continued to play well. The Granowski Plowski is still unstoppable. They give him the ball and they push his rear end and it looks like the tush push and it's good. And they scored a bunch of points. Made Nebraska look, you know, kind of average. They took care of business. But here I do want to say something about Nebraska because Emmett Johnson is a baller and he doesn't get enough credit. So I just want to tip my cap to him, man. That dude, that dude plays his tail off. Over a thousand rushing six straight games with over 100 yards. He had over 100 in the first quarter. But like quick, tough, elusive. His feet never stop moving forward. The offensive line has not been that great for them this year. He has been consistent, great in the receiving game. Like Emmett Johnson is one of the better backs in the country. Like we don't get to talk about him. And Nebraska, you know, finishes is seven and five now and obviously, you know, it's still a good season. Probably not what they wanted, but my gosh, man, it was. Emmett Johnson's been the best player on their team week in and week out. He makes things happen and he kept him in the game as much as he could. Latif at the QB spot.
Brent Rollins
It's.

It's been a steady descent for them. They have. The passing game has not been good. So Iowa, congratulations, consistency, continue to be rewarded. Emmett Johnson, we're going to give you credit and give you love because you deserve it, because you've been an absolute stud all season long, been an absolute baller and now superhuman shack.

As a quarterback, I love sports. But sometimes when I get hit on my blind side, front side and put on my backside, I wonder is, is sport clips better than sports? Because sport clips, haircuts is sports on tv Plus a relaxing haircut, hot steam towel and massaging shampoo, which is better than sports plus sport clips. It's a game changer. Check in online@sportclips.com all right, we got something in the chat. This is where we're going next. So we'll start here at Starch Manning. Suck it A and M Sark making the right argument. Right argument on the OSU schedule. If it's the best teams, Texas should get in, but can't cry too hard with a UF loss 100%. The UF loss is the reason they're at where they're at. They shouldn't have lost the UF. We can, we can say UF has talent, whatever, but Texas 27 to 17 over A&M, the number three team in the country. Mars. You know, we got Marcel Reed's Heisman campaign in the mail today, Brent. I opened it up and it was really cool. Like all these different layers to it and it's, it's awesome. It's got a towel in there.
Brent Rollins
Somebody spent some money on it.
David Pollock
Somebody spent some money on it. But it might not have lasted very often. This, this was, this was a great performance by Texas. Performance by Texas at home. Listen, talked about this in the picks, Brent. I felt like at some point the offensive Defense would click together and play a good, play a good game. And they chose to play a good game and made it really, really hard for A and M. And, and it was Arch Manning was, was on display, like he was really, really good. He was good with the run game, he was good with the off script plays, making some plays. But the run game to me was fantastic. I mean the story, it was incredible to watch, man, because Texas, who hasn't had a good run game all year long, all of a sudden Tote and Rock and Dagum Wisner. I remember last year I was like, that dude's a good player. Like he can make people miss. And I thought the scheme up front was really good. They were pulling one guy, they were doing a good job of helping each other, but he was staying really patient, like really that was the most most important part of the run game. If you watch Texas today, it was Wisner's ability to stay a little bit patient, set up his blocks, let his guys get some run. A and M wanted to stay with two high safeties. They weren't that aggressive and Texas physically made them pay. We talked about everything that mattered coming into this game. A and M wins, first time in the SEC championship game. A&M number three in the country, undefeated. A chance against their rivals to prove we're not second best, we're not second fiddle because they've been better the last 10, 15 years. And Texas, hook them freaking horns. Shows up big the last game of the season and gets the big dub. Congratulations Texas.
Brent Rollins
What's funny is that right before the, I mean maybe even early into the third quarter, the first half, really, my note in my head and note in my stuff was Texas looked like a team that might need a new offensive coordinator. They couldn't run it at all, couldn't protect the quarterback consistently, didn't have answers for your quarterback consistently. And then all of a sudden they got one big running play. Reisner got like a 48 hour play, a 40 year old run, which I think was the longest run they've had all year. I know it's the first 100 yard game they've had all year. And then that got, it's like it opened up the whole running game for them. And now when you add them having a little bit of a running game with Arch's ability to run the football, because that was the only thing they were have success early was Arch's legs and making plays with his legs and then he would make plays out of the pocket. The deep throw to, to Wingo for the touchdown. That kind of opened it up and then yep, Arch has a run himself.
David Pollock
His run, that run was dirty, by the way. Like he hit the jets.
Brent Rollins
It wasn't even the gear.
David Pollock
The speed was nice, but to me it was the, the feel for people around his feet and that. And he was patient in that run too. Like he kind of set it up and then made people miss and felt him. And then Coops up there going nuts saying boom at the end.
Brent Rollins
Should have.
David Pollock
But hey, hey, how about Jack Andre? Andre Jack Andre.
Brent Rollins
He.
David Pollock
I didn't know he played for Texas. Like I, I thought he was still at Cal. Like we haven't seen him all season long. Making plays too, huh?
Brent Rollins
A and M thought that too because I think they left him alone like at least three times where they kind of left him wide wide open. But I think he had what, four or five catches, almost 100 yards. But he was big for them big time.
David Pollock
What did you think about the Marcel Reed injury? Did you think he was. Did you think he was gone?
Brent Rollins
I mean the way he initially reacted non contact. Oh gosh, yeah. And then threw his helmet. He took his helmet off real quick and. But then he was back and he was making plays. But that, that was. It was just amazing to see because Texas A M was completely shutting them down early in that game. Like it was.
David Pollock
Oh yeah.
Brent Rollins
I didn't think Texas was going to be able to do anything in the game. And then all of a sudden the run game got going and it just completely opened up and then A M didn't have consistent enough offense. They couldn't run it. Reuben Owens would like was short every time. Like leaning forward every two or three different times. Short.
David Pollock
Listen, their, their offense, their offense is. Is very big player bust.
Brent Rollins
Like it's, it's live and die by the three pointer kind of thing.
David Pollock
Like and, and, and they shot themselves in the foot. A coup and one. You know like jumping off sides and some, some timely stupid penalties. They. They got the fortunate face mask which, which helped keep him alive. But Texas dominated this football game. And you know, it was surprising to watch A and M, you know, can struggle up. Struggle up front because A and M's, you know, when you watch their Cassius, how do we do we hear his name very often. Like when you can protect.
Brent Rollins
Not as the game went on.
Shaquille O'Neal
No.
David Pollock
And running the football for, for Texas, like if they can run the football. Sark becomes a elite play caller. Everybody does, right? Like everybody once they, once they start to get, you know, multifaceted and they get the run game, the play action and arches. Play of the game to me was when he steps up with two hands and goes like this and McElroy went nuts and I loved it because he should have but like protected the football then turned them through and make a dime and like, hey, it's a mat. So, so here's the difference in Texas, here's, here's why Texas won tonight is because Arch Manning had help. Like we could put this on Arch just like everybody else out there just wanted to clown on Arch because that's what people do because they want to do that. You, you can clown on Arch all you want. They had a run game tonight against one of the best teams in the country and that's what happened. Give them a run game, make some plays in the passing game, make it a little bit easier on him. All these gunner stockings had it easy on him all year long. Like he's had balance. He put, they put him in a position to succeed Arch Manning with a run game. Arch Manning playing them, playing good defense. Arch Manning looked like the guy we thought he was going to be before the season. Like that was impressive to see and I can't wait to see the discussion because if we're really going to, you know what I'm just saying if, if I'm a Texas fan, like and I said this before everybody a long time ago, a long time ago I was like, Texas has a chance as a three loss team because they're going to play Georgia, they're going to play A and M. They beat one of those two. A&M was ranked higher. They beat A and M and they're one loss out of conference. So if they play Little Sisters of the Poor or directional Wyoming or whoever, whoever they play, if they go play a bum, they're in the college football playoffs. They're in the college football playoff. So just think about that. Now listen, the way our committee's been, it's been an abject disaster and it's been awful. I don't expect them to consider that because they've clearly looked at losses. But now with adding that to their ledger, ledger. Don't act like the Oklahoma game didn't count. Like they beat up Oklahoma. They beat them 21 to 6, I think was the final score. Like they've got a couple top 10 wins by double digits.
Brent Rollins
Well, so find that in the country tomorrow. Vandy. Vandy wins to beats Tennessee tomorrow. Now they got, that's a 10 win Vandy and you beat them and they.
David Pollock
They slapped Vandy by The way they were up 21 in the fourth quarter, Vanderbilt put up some stuff late. They absolutely hammered Vandy. Like.
Brent Rollins
So the thing, the couple things with Texas 1 is game control like that. We talk, we talked about that. Their game control number because of having to go to OT against Kentucky, having to go to OT against Miss State, you know, getting dunked on against Georgia and some of these other games, like, that number is very low. So from a metric standpoint, like this game helped a little bit, but it's not going to be a drastic jump up in there. So that, and then also the Florida loss, which is a, you, you've talked about that all season. How much that bad loss is an anchor. That is a bad loss based on how everything's finished out for them.
David Pollock
No way to justify it.
Brent Rollins
I think they need, they like, if you're a Texas fan, you need to be a Tennessee fan. You need to be Auburn fan. You, you need to be, let's see, a Texas Tech fan because, hey, BYU to not win.
David Pollock
I think you know where I stand with this, but should Texas be ahead of Utah?
Brent Rollins
Oh, yeah, I think, I think so. I would agree that if you taught.
David Pollock
Miami, if Utah played Ohio State, Utah would have lost to Ohio State. Like, don't give me that crap. Like, listen, you can say what you want about Texas. That's the, that's, that's two top 10 wins by double digits. And if Vanderbilt finishes In the top 10, three top 10 wins like that were convincing wins. They weren't eked out wins. Like, I just, I, I don't understand how it's, it's.
Brent Rollins
But they were, they were dominating the game. Vanity just sort of came back on them.
David Pollock
Yes, they slapped Vanderbilt.
Brent Rollins
Yo. Hey, they also got to be a pit fan. Like they need pit to beat Miami. Like they need absolute sort of chaos in a way, I think to everybody in front of them. So I, I, it's, they do need help.
David Pollock
I think Wayne Hunter's not wrong. Do not ever schedule tough out of conference games. It just comes down to biting you in the earth. Schedule cupcakes and get into the playoffs like Ohio State is do. I didn't, I didn't see that last part. I didn't. Ohio State scheduled Texas at a conference. I don't know how that doesn't work. They schedule that country.
Brent Rollins
I don't.
David Pollock
What, how did Ohio State. Ohio State's regular season wasn't that good. But you just crapped on Ohio State. You gave Texas credit for playing Ohio State and you didn't give Ohio State credit for playing Texas. That doesn't make sense to me. Wayne.
Brent Rollins
Easy on Wayne. Wayne's watching the show and commenting. Let's back off a little bit here. But I haven't thought about that. The scheduling piece. If you're in the SEC or a team in the SEC or if you're a team in the Big Ten, don't. You should not schedule those type of games. If you're in the ACC or the Big 12, you should schedule those games to help your resume. Otherwise, the only way you're getting in is if you're winning the conference.
David Pollock
So like Arizona State should schedule Mississippi State.
Brent Rollins
Well, you gotta, gotta win those games if you're gonna play them. But, but that like you think about Miami right now, Miami would be even further down. They'd be where Virginia is if it wasn't for the Notre Dame win.
David Pollock
Correct.
Brent Rollins
So like the ACC in the Big 12, they need to play those games to me to, to help their resume because the committee's already said we think your conference is kind of crap other. Outside of. Outside of or in the normal sense of things. If you're the Big Ten in the SEC though now, especially the sec and you're going to nine conference games, you want no part of those games. You want schedule a dub moving forward. That's for sure. Until they figure out some sort of exact formula to where they can be not be penalized for playing those games.
David Pollock
You guys are freaking awesome in the chat, by the way. Like, this thing's going bananas. This thing is awesome. I mean, it's, it's amazing.
Brent Rollins
All right, so today, right this moment is. Is Texas a playoff team for David Pollock?
David Pollock
Well, I mean, we still got to finish this weekend because like if Alabama loses to Auburn, I mean we're going to have a conversation. So I think we got to finish this weekend. But I'm just telling you I'm not going to listen to the Utah. Like I'm not going to have that conversation. I'm not going to do it. Like it's not. I'm putting them ahead of Utah. Like I would put them ahead of Utah. So they're one of those teams on the periphery. Do they get in a conversation where it's head to head with Vanderbilt like that? If they can get in that conversation, obviously they have a chance. They're not going to get head to head with Oklahoma unless Oklahoma loses, then that might be a case. But we still got, we still got rivalry weekend that's going to be here. So hard to say why will we weekend we still got rivalry weekend, which there's still going to be carnage. So tomorrow we'll be right back here and it's going to be freaking amazing and there's going to be plenty to look at. But I'm not going to be surprised if Texas is banging around the chicken coop and we're like, are we debating Texas? And then we have to listen to the committee and see what they say. But.
Brent Rollins
Well, two, two things that you. One thing you know is for certain, it's going to be talked about tomorrow morning on the shows. SEC Nation, Game Day, Fox, Big Noon, all that. They are going to talk about that specifically. And there's going to be some campaigning probably going on, that's for sure. But also speaking of campaigning, I'll say if you're a Texas A and M fan, real quick though, what's your consolation prize? Right now you get a. You're going to get a home playoff game, probably. I don't see how they drop below 8. Like they're going to be playing at home in round one.
David Pollock
Well, playing at home and then I. We've talked about this. Do you want to play in the SEC championship game? Do you want to put another game, another. Your body through another game? That really doesn't matter.
Brent Rollins
Like, you know, I mean, it might.
David Pollock
I don't think so.
Brent Rollins
Yeah, but George is in it. We know that. That's the only thing we know at this point.
David Pollock
Do we tip the cap to the Indiana Hoosiers as well for taking care of business and beating, beating up on Purdue?
Brent Rollins
I mean, I mean, undefeated.
David Pollock
An undefeated season.
Brent Rollins
That's what, that's what you tip the cap about.
David Pollock
I mean, does Mendoza not get a tap, tap tip of the cap too? I mean, come on, man, like.
Brent Rollins
Yes.
David Pollock
What a season for. What a season for the big fella. I would say the little guy. But that dude is a big strong sucker.
Brent Rollins
And what is that? 20, 23 and one in two regular seasons for SIG.
David Pollock
And that crazy.
Brent Rollins
They were 11 one last year in the regular season. That's pretty darn good.
David Pollock
I guess the only thing for them now is Sherat got to play. So again, they got to rest Surat too, because he wasn't seriously hurt. You didn't have to force him back because you weren't, weren't worried about losing to anybody in your conference. But Surac coming back obviously makes them a bigger deal like that. That's, that's, that's a necessary piece for them to get healthy. The offensive line will be interesting to watch too, but congratulations Indiana, I mean that's. That's unbelievable. Like that Indiana is the proof in the pudding and what. Exactly what everybody needs to look at when it comes to nil. Like their Indiana is probably. Signetti is probably the reason why so many of these coaches are fired. Oh.
Brent Rollins
It's like honestly, 99.9, that guy coming.
David Pollock
In, doing what he did right away, it's like, wait a minute. Screw this three year rebuild crap. Like, I want it now. Like, I feel like that's commercial. I want it now. Like, what were you saying?
Brent Rollins
I was just gonna say it's. It's also a screw this 10 year build up to not winning big games.
David Pollock
Yeah.
Brent Rollins
Because Penn State said, oh, sorry, you're not gonna win big games. We need to just move on. After that guy's winning big games in.
David Pollock
Year two, he's gonna go win big games at Virginia Tech now.
Brent Rollins
Yes. So he's getting a lot of recruits.
David Pollock
I'm with you. I'm with you.
Brent Rollins
Are you doing okay? Just. I just want to check on you.
David Pollock
Yeah, yeah, I'm good. I'm good. This is, this is good therapy. The Titans.
Brent Rollins
It feels like you need it. 27 game win streak come to an end. Like, that's not, that's not a good thing.
David Pollock
Wasn't the best night. Appreciate you bringing that up. So, Brent.
Brent Rollins
Well, I'm just making sure you're doing okay.
David Pollock
We're good. No, the chat's making me feel better. I might just start jumping in the chat. Mother blanking people. Like people Just, just start calling, calling girls out over here, bro, start slamming people.
Brent Rollins
Well, the Georgia game taught us anything, is that this whole weekend is completely and utterly unpredictable.
David Pollock
We, we know.
Brent Rollins
You know, everybody predicted 16, nine and.
David Pollock
Brent, I told you I've learned it after all these years. Like the, the, the. The weirdness of rivalry. It doesn't make sense. Like, it's. So. It's why I picked Texas. It does. It didn't make sense. But it's going to happen. It's just a matter of where. And you picked Auburn and I, I can't wait to watch that game. It's going to be amazing tomorrow. But, but like, we, we get this. We get to. So we got. Today we had football. Yesterday, we got football, we got football. Sunday, we got football, we got championship football next week and then playoffs. Like, it's already the most wonderful time of the year. Because now listen, if you're not listening to Christmas music yet, like now, you're officially dead to me. Okay, Like, I know you turned the page from Thanksgiving, so we're going to turn the page, too. And so we appreciate you guys join. Dude, our numbers keep jumping like crazy and it's because of y'.
Brent Rollins
All.
David Pollock
And thank you so much. Thank you very much. Yeah, we keep. We keep rising up, man. And Atlanta, Atlanta can't rise up the Falcons, but we're rising up the numbers here at Seaball. Get ball for Brent Rollins for David Pollock. C. Ball. Get ball. Thank you guys for joining us. And we will see you tomorrow night because there'll be plenty more ball to talk. Enjoy your evening. And now, superhuman Shack.
