World Cup week begins and the NHL draft gets another week closer, so Matt and Blake have a massive Monday show! The guys look at the ever changing draft boards from around the league and debate where the Canucks will go with the first few picks of their draft class. The ever present conversation of " best player available" vs "draft for position" remains in a year when the depth of the first tier of players is as big as it is and the guys get into which direction they would lean. The Daily Faceoff's Steven Ellis joins the guys to summarize his stay at the NHL draft combine and what stood out to him amongst the top prospects there. Steven answers whether there is any chiseling away at Mckenna's top spot and the large group of players that are vying to be number 2. The guys look at the myriad of choices for the Canucks with both of their 1st round picks, including some new possibilities for centres at the 24th pick. Steven also weighs in on the re-appearance of Verhoeff near the top of peoples' lists and the fit for the Canucks to grab both Ruck twins. Tosaint Ricketts of the Whitecaps and TSN drops by to discuss the pride he's feeling right now and the last minute roster dilemmas for Jesse March ahead of the World Cup. Tos talks about the pros and cons of Bombito's status and how that affects Ralph Priso's chances of playing, plus, Jayden Nelson's chance of getting a spot as well. He previews the first game vs Bosnia, gives us his choice for strike in game 1, and what sets Canada apart and give them a chance to advance. The guys finish up with some more odds and ends around the World Cup including the status of the roof for matches at BC Place. They look at the full baseball story, the NBA Finals are setting NYC into a tizzy, and an historic win at the French Open!Thank you to our great sponsors:@bet365: It's never ordinary!
