And this is sibling rivalry.
Bob the Drag Queen
On this week's episode, I joined the Adam Shankman directing internship program.
Monet X Change
We talk about Stop that Train.
Adam Shankman
We find out what made Bob say this.
Bob the Drag Queen
Monet is one of the best films of all time.
Monet X Change
We find out what made Adam say this.
Adam Shankman
You really are a bitch.
Bob the Drag Queen
And we found out what made Monet say this.
Monet X Change
And I hope you got someone fired.
Bob the Drag Queen
Adam, you ever shanked a man? No.
Adam Shankman
Ooh.
Bob the Drag Queen
Have you ever held a shank?
Adam Shankman
Uh, no.
Bob the Drag Queen
No.
Monet X Change
Have you?
Adam Shankman
Y.
Bob the Drag Queen
I was really into making shivs in high school.
Monet X Change
Okay.
Adam Shankman
You did not. Okay, well, that's.
Bob the Drag Queen
I'm telling you, I was. I was really into making shanks and shivs in high school.
Monet X Change
At Edward R. Morrow's high school.
Bob the Drag Queen
I. I went to Morrow High School. What's Edward. What's that?
Monet X Change
Oh, maybe that's. I think Edward R. Morrow in Brooklyn.
Bob the Drag Queen
Is that like a danger school?
Monet X Change
No, it's a high school in Brooklyn.
Adam Shankman
Oh, yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, how's that working?
Monet X Change
Is that Morrow? Because you went to Morrow High School.
Adam Shankman
Got it.
Monet X Change
Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, I watched. I watched Shawshank Redemption.
Adam Shankman
Okay.
Bob the Drag Queen
And asked my mom what that meant, and she was like, it's just a name. Yeah. And then I was like, well, what is a shank? Because I think there's a shank in the movie. Or a shiv in the movie.
Monet X Change
I've never seen it.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. You never seen Shawshank Redemption? I have not.
Adam Shankman
Oh, it's a great movie.
Bob the Drag Queen
Monet is one of the best films of all time. So, first of all, it's. What's his name? The creepy guy.
Adam Shankman
The creepy.
Bob the Drag Queen
The creepy guy who writes all the creepy stories.
Adam Shankman
Stephen King.
Bob the Drag Queen
Stephen King, yeah. Which is.
Monet X Change
It's the Stephen King.
Bob the Drag Queen
It's a Stephen King novel.
Adam Shankman
It's from a Stephen King novel.
Monet X Change
Oh, I didn't know that. Actually.
Bob the Drag Queen
Morgan Freeman. Yes, Tim.
Monet X Change
Is it a horror?
Bob the Drag Queen
Tim?
Adam Shankman
Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
Robinson. Tim Robinson.
Adam Shankman
No, it's not Robinson. Robinson.
Bob the Drag Queen
Tim Robbins.
Monet X Change
Tim Robbins, a motivational speaker, black now.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, Tim Robbins. Tim Robbins, the actor from Shawshank Redemption.
Adam Shankman
Tim Robbins.
Monet X Change
What else was he in that I would know?
Bob the Drag Queen
Was he in Blue Streak with Martin Lawrence movie? Who's in Blue Streak And Martin Lawrence? Jake, can we find out who's in Blue Streak with Martin Lawrence? Blue Streak. It was one of Martin Lawrence's less famous.
Monet X Change
I love Blue Streak. Blue Streak is a great movie. Was that him? The second guy? No, there's no Tim Robbins in this movie.
Adam Shankman
No, Tim Robbins is not in this movie.
Bob the Drag Queen
No. Did Tim Robbins do a cop film with a black guy?
Monet X Change
Tim Robbins, Rush Hour?
Bob the Drag Queen
No, that was Jackie Chan, and he's not. I'm not white, like, participating in this. Oh, so he did do a movie with Martin Lawrence.
Monet X Change
Nothing to lose.
Adam Shankman
I haven't even heard of that. Nothing to lose.
Bob the Drag Queen
That was the one. That was the one.
Sponsor Voice
Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
I can't even. Tim Robbins. Anyway, so it's not creepy, but it's like. It's like a Supernatural.
Monet X Change
Got it.
Bob the Drag Queen
It's like this prisoner who's on death row.
Adam Shankman
You're talking about the Green Mile.
Bob the Drag Queen
No.
Adam Shankman
Oh, my God. Wait. No. Oh, my God. You are a witted racist motherfucker.
Bob the Drag Queen
Shut your ass up. Are you kidding me? No, listen, I did mix them up for a second, but it's about a man who goes to prison, but he shouldn't be in there, and he wants to get out real bad. So spoiler alert. Which this is 30 years old at this point. He digs a hole through the wall and he crawls through the shit and he gets out.
Monet X Change
He Crawls through actual shit.
Bob the Drag Queen
Actual shit.
Monet X Change
Got it.
Bob the Drag Queen
And he crawls through the shit, and he eventually gets out, and the cops are like, holy shit. And then in the end, there's this brilliant scene at the end where the cop is, like, he's pissed off, and he throws a rock. Cause rock, he goes to the. He's emptying out this wall, but he's emptying it over the course of, like, over a decade or two, brick by brick into the courtyard and. And then he throws a rock at the poster, and it goes through the fucking poster. And he's like, oh, my God. They rip the poster down, and there's a tunnel all the way out of the building.
Monet X Change
Have you ever seen an iconic, like, movie done? And you're like, damn, I wish I got to do that instead of that person.
Adam Shankman
No, not really. I'm such a Joe audience. Like, I'm like a fan. So it's like, I look at shit and I'm. And I'm like, God, especially good stuff. Like, how did they do that? I still sit and marvel at all of that. But it's such a waste for me to get jealous. I mean, that was, like, maybe early on when I started, I would be like, but I can't think of anything that I wish I'd done.
Sponsor Voice
Not jealous.
Monet X Change
But you see it. And like, ugh, if I would've done it, my interpretation could have been like, yes, I.
Adam Shankman
But don't you feel that way about performances and stuff like that?
Monet X Change
I mean, no, because I think so much of even drag performances or even big performances I've seen at Lady Gaga, at paparazzi, I feel like only her. That can only be her brainchild. I don't think I would think of paparazzi in that same way. And I think the way that she got. She did it was literally fucking perfect.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, it's not just her brainchild, so it's like 19 people working on her.
Monet X Change
Yeah, sure. What I'm saying. But I think that it's her thing. That's what came from her.
Adam Shankman
It does come from her. I mean, that is from the head down. That starts there.
Bob the Drag Queen
You met Lady Gaga.
Adam Shankman
Have I? Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
Y' all had lunch together.
Adam Shankman
No, we never had lunch.
Bob the Drag Queen
Dinner, Line of coke?
Adam Shankman
None of the above.
Bob the Drag Queen
None of the about.
Adam Shankman
Do you want to know actually where I met her? Where I met her the night after the first Trump election.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, this is right after she changed baristas.
Adam Shankman
It was right. It was like. It was. Or was it the night. No, it was the night of. It was the night when he was elected, I met up with some friends, and they were. They're friends of hers. And everybody was, like, walking around kind of. We were like zombies. And I remember Samantha and I, we got out of subway to go friend her. Well, I'm gonna name her. It's Samantha Ronson and Mark Ronson. And so I met. I met Samantha, and we got to go pick up Mark, and we got out in front of our family. Siblings are married, huh?
Bob the Drag Queen
They're siblings. They married siblings. Okay.
Adam Shankman
And we got out, and Mark is married to Meryl Streep's daughter.
Monet X Change
Oh, really?
Adam Shankman
Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
Amanda Streep.
Monet X Change
Is it a man?
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't know her name. She's the one that Meryl Streep did that movie with. Meryl Streep did that rock and roll. They did that rock and roll movie. Mimi?
Adam Shankman
No, Grace.
Monet X Change
Oh, Grace.
Bob the Drag Queen
They did a rock and roll movie together. Meryl Streep did a movie where she's like. Her and her daughter are like. It is a crazy movie. It was a period of time where Meryl Streep did not say no to a movie. And this was Meryl Streep and her daughter did this, like, rock and roll movie together. They were like
Adam Shankman
the Flash. Ricky and the Flash.
Bob the Drag Queen
Ricky and the Flash.
Adam Shankman
Yeah. Yeah.
Monet X Change
So it was that night. And Yellow one.
Adam Shankman
Anyway, we went in there, we picked up Mark, and we were all. But they were like, it was crazy outside of Trump Tower because that's where our subway let us off and. Cause we were going. Mark was at the Plaza, Columbus Circle. We were right there. No, it was below. No, no, no, it was the old Trump Tower. The one on. The One on Fifth Avenue. Sorry, on Sixth Avenue.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah.
Adam Shankman
And it was like. There was smoke everywhere. People were like burning effigies. It was like, really nuts. Thousands of people in the street protesting. We were like. It was mind bending. We go up, we get him, and we're like, well, what do we do now? And he's like, well, Stephanie's having people down. She posted on, like, Facebook or something that she was meeting down at a pool hall in the Village. So can all the. Of any of the monsters that wanted to come and hang and sort of be together, you know, come meet her at this pool hall.
Monet X Change
That seems so insane.
Adam Shankman
And I was like. I was like, holy shit, are we really going to do this? So we went down and we went in. They let us in, and we hung out there. That's where I met her.
Monet X Change
Yeah, I was in New York that night, too. I was. This was pre drag. Race. And I was doing my gig at Industry.
Bob the Drag Queen
Where'd you meet Lady Gaga?
Monet X Change
I never met Lady Gaga.
Bob the Drag Queen
I never met. Which is kind of crap. I feel like I cannot believe I've never met Lady Gaga.
Adam Shankman
We were backstage with her at the Pride event in New York. Look at that. You didn't go when you did Alicia Keys, she was there, was she? We were about eight feet away from her, but we did not talk to her. I had met her before. I directed a benefit for the Trevor Project, and she was the honoree of that. And she came and accepted award for that. That's where I actually first met.
Bob the Drag Queen
Who's your pop diva, though?
Adam Shankman
Who's my pop diva?
Monet X Change
Your north star.
Bob the Drag Queen
We're gonna ask you a couple of questions about your life, and then we're both gonna guess, all right? Okay. So you were raised. So I asked off camera, but I'll ask on camera now. Where are you from?
Adam Shankman
I'm from here. I'm from Los Angeles.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay. You asked the question.
Monet X Change
What year did you graduate high school?
Adam Shankman
Girl, you think acronym graduated high school? 1982.
Monet X Change
82.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay, okay.
Monet X Change
I know, I know. I, I, I, I already have the answer.
Bob the Drag Queen
What kind of car do you drive right now?
Adam Shankman
A Hummer.
Bob the Drag Queen
A Hummer.
Monet X Change
A Hummer.
Adam Shankman
Okay.
Bob the Drag Queen
Come on.
Podcast Host
Hummer.
Bob the Drag Queen
That's not giving who you're thinking.
Monet X Change
No, it, it does.
Bob the Drag Queen
Hummer gives who you're thinking.
Monet X Change
You.
Adam Shankman
You don't know who I'm thinking.
Sponsor Voice
Money.
Bob the Drag Queen
I literally.
Monet X Change
I'm tapped. You don't know who I'm thinking.
Bob the Drag Queen
I'm tapped in.
Monet X Change
We.
Bob the Drag Queen
We're always on the same page.
Adam Shankman
This is so fun to watch.
Monet X Change
I'm ready to go. Are. Are you ready to go?
Bob the Drag Queen
I need one more question. Can you ask one more?
Monet X Change
Did you dye your hair in high school?
Adam Shankman
No.
Monet X Change
I know this. I know.
Bob the Drag Queen
Did you dye your hair today? No. Just wonder if you chose this or if this girl.
Adam Shankman
Oh, good. You really are a bitch. Okay.
Monet X Change
By the Bitch Queen.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay, you go first.
Monet X Change
I'm saying Cher.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, no, you love Cher. But no. Cause you're not pinned up enough to be a Cher fan. Cher fans are pinned up. Cher fans pinned up.
Monet X Change
Very, like, buttoned up.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, yeah, Cher fans are pinned up. And they, they don't like to joke as much as the other fans. I think you're between Madonna and Cyndi Lauper.
Adam Shankman
I would lean much harder towards Madonna. I love Cyndi Lauper, but I would lean much harder into Madonna.
Monet X Change
I hate that I was going to say Madonna, but to be honest. But you made me feel so comfortable with my choice.
Bob the Drag Queen
You're too young for Cher. That's not true, girl.
Adam Shankman
How Cher. He.
Bob the Drag Queen
People. Gays above him were liking Cher.
Adam Shankman
Yeah. I mean, Cher drops into the Diana Ross. Like, there's Diana Ross. There was Judy, Diana Cher. It all started to kind of the Venn diagram bleeds down in that way, you know, And Madonna is like, more. Was actually kind of the pop tale of the new wave. So new wave was kind of what I was listening to in high school. Got it. So it was Blondie and all and the B52s and all that.
Bob the Drag Queen
You kind of a rocker chick.
Adam Shankman
I was in high school.
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't see. That is crazy.
Monet X Change
Why is that crazy?
Adam Shankman
I was also a stoner back then, which.
Bob the Drag Queen
Imagine you being like a little rocker.
Adam Shankman
Like, oh, I was so. I was so closeted. I was like, so, like, I had girlfriends and shit like that. So you had a girlfriend? Yes, I had.
Bob the Drag Queen
How Bob Mackie.
Monet X Change
How Bob Mackie?
Bob the Drag Queen
The other day, Jacob was like, is Bob Mackie? I said, no, Bob Mackey was married. Bob Mackie has a child. Bob Mackie is gay.
Adam Shankman
Correct. But like, every Southern opera company director, it's like, they're like, have you met my wife, Percy?
Bob the Drag Queen
But he's out now, though, Bob. Becky's out now, right? Or are we outing him here on the podcast?
Adam Shankman
No, no, no, he's out.
Monet X Change
Yeah, he's out.
Bob the Drag Queen
But he was. He was with Bobby, which is crazy.
Monet X Change
He was.
Bob the Drag Queen
He was. Because he was. He was closeted while doing these, like, beating gals and stairs. Like, oh, Heidi, you got to look fantastic in this charmeuse.
Adam Shankman
Well, it was that Carol Burnett. It was that. It was. You know, he was designing all Carol Burnett. He was designing Olive Cher. He was doing Nitzy Gaynor. It was like. It was like. That was Bob. I mean, have you watched all the old Nitzy Gaynor specials?
Bob the Drag Queen
That's why not a single one of them.
Monet X Change
Are you fucking with me?
Bob the Drag Queen
I'm not fucking with you, bitch.
Adam Shankman
Oh, my God. We're having, like, video night at my house because that. You. You have a whole chapter.
Monet X Change
I got into Carol Burnett because I grew up in St. Lucia, and in St. Lucia, they had one. We would get weird offshoot American channels. Like, we had, like, the USA Network. We would get Nick at Knight. So I used to watch Nick at Knight all the time, and they used to run Carol Burnett shows on Nick and Knight all the time. So that's how I found out about Carol Burnett.
Adam Shankman
Well, that's the other thing that you have to, like, sort of when you're actually looking at Bob Mackie's. Like, the swath of his work is like. Remember, he had an incredible sense of humor. He was incredibly theatrical. It wasn't just all the sexy dresses. It wasn't just like that. It was all of the comedy stuff that he used to do.
Bob the Drag Queen
I mean, his most famous one is that curtain dress.
Adam Shankman
The curtain dress, you know, a huge thing. Yeah, but he did a lot of that stuff.
Monet X Change
Adam Shackman, do you know that you had directed some of my all time favorite movies?
Adam Shankman
I did not know that.
Monet X Change
Cheaper by the Dozen too is one of my favorite movies of all time.
Adam Shankman
I don't understand the words that just came out of your mouth, but I appreciate it.
Monet X Change
Cheaper by the dozens.
Adam Shankman
No, no, no. I remember what you just said, but I'm now in a fugue state, so I guess I don't understand, but that's right.
Monet X Change
A walk to remember. Have you ever seen. Have you ever seen a Walks.
Adam Shankman
Remember? He has never seen it with Mandy Moore.
Bob the Drag Queen
I'm sorry, I remember. You've seen it. You don't remember any.
Adam Shankman
Welcome.
Bob the Drag Queen
The Wedding Planner.
Adam Shankman
Yeah, that was my first one.
Monet X Change
So two movies that make me cry every time I watch it.
Bob the Drag Queen
I do like the Wedding Planner, the
Monet X Change
Notebook, and also the Wedding Planner.
Bob the Drag Queen
And the other movie that I can't stand, Time Traveler's Wife. The Time Traveler's Wife, which is years in this movie.
Adam Shankman
Oh, my God, it's crazy.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, Bobby, I hate this film.
Monet X Change
He's morphed it into this whole thing now. He's morphed it into this grooming story.
Bob the Drag Queen
And it was a lot about grooming. It is a man dating a child. A man is dating a child in
Adam Shankman
that, though there's a lot of movies that can be said of that. Like, there's.
Bob the Drag Queen
Can I ask a question that you probably don't want to answer? And I should have checked with you off camera. And if it doesn't work, we can take it out. How are you comfortable in the same room as John Travolta? I feel like I was in the same room as jt. Yeah, I would be. Like, I don't feel comfortable.
Adam Shankman
Well, that's on you. Like, I have no problem with John. John is. John's a theater dude. Like, for me, it's like he, you know, he. I remember when we were rehearsing Hairspray, he came in for his first rehearsal with Chris Walken for Timeless to me, and they were both wearing, like, jazz pants and little jazz shoes and little black stretch T shirts, and they were both dressed like, old school. Like, theater dudes coming in to rehearse. And I was like, that's my people.
Bob the Drag Queen
Like, I mean, John Travolta is undeniably a brilliant performer. No one can deny this. Yeah, John Travolta might. Might actually be one of the best to ever do what he does. Grease. What's the. What's the one where he's. The disco one.
Adam Shankman
Saturday Night Fever.
Bob the Drag Queen
Saturday Night Fever.
Adam Shankman
He's. No, he has a huge Carrie.
Bob the Drag Queen
He was. No one talks about how great he was in Carrie.
Adam Shankman
I love Carrie.
Bob the Drag Queen
No one has a conversation about how great he was in Carrie.
Adam Shankman
He was Pulp Fiction. I mean, he's amazing. No, you can run. Run the gamut. And, you know, I am really lucky in my career. I've gotten to work with some incredible actors, some kind of legends. And, you know, meeting with John, I knew that he was interested in doing it. So when we met, I already knew that I had an audience there. You know, I was gonna be in a room that was actually friendly, you know, and we just talked about theater, and it was. And it was great. And then, you know, the most important thing for him in Hairspray that I remember, and it was a little confusing for me at first, was he. He wanted it understood that there was a time when Edna was probably sexy and that she was like that, which is why he insisted on having a waist. Like, all of his costumes are belted. Like, if you go back and look at John Waters. I love John Waters. Hairspray. You know, Edna's always in shmata. She's always in big, you know, kind of. Yeah, big, big gowns that are very wasteless. And he was like, no, I want to see your tits. I want to see. I want her to have. So that we know once upon a time, she was hot.

Well, here's my thing. So when you're taking on something that is iconic as Hairspray and you're like, you're like, I'm directing this. I am scary. I'm hitting the ship. Like how much of it do you allow for interpret for things to change, like what John wants. Are you like, no, we're keeping the source material. Edna's not sexy. Like how much. How do you balance?
Adam Shankman
If it makes sense, I'm totally down to clown.
Bob the Drag Queen
Did you and John like work together? How do they work? Did he just hand it off and be like, do you think 21?
Adam Shankman
Oh, no, no, no. There was a lot of rehearsal. There was a time with John Waters.
Bob the Drag Queen
I mean with John Waters that mean.
Adam Shankman
Oh, with John. Oh, that's the most, that was the most beautiful thing. He just, he, he took me out to lunch in Baltimore and, and he, he just said, you do you. Because I said, I'm not just worried about the fans of your movies. I'm worried about the fans of the play because the play are so different than the play is different than the movie and, and both are very, very loyal to those pieces of material. And it means a lot to them. The, you know, Hairspray means a lot to the people and the play means a lot to people and the play is very, very all family. I mean, weirdly, the movie is kind of like, there's no cussing in the movie. There's, it's just wild. You know, his, his version of it. But I Had to now do my thing. And he said, don't give a shit about what I did. Don't give a shit about the play. You go, do you. That's the spirit of Hairspray. You fucking. Do you.
Bob the Drag Queen
You ever met John Waters?
Monet X Change
I met him once, briefly at a meeting.
Bob the Drag Queen
He is this big.
Adam Shankman
He is an extraordinary man.
Bob the Drag Queen
He's such a tiny little man. He's so sweet. He's such a. He's very charming. He's very calm.
Podcast Host
Yeah, he's very calm.
Adam Shankman
He is. And he loves to laugh.
Bob the Drag Queen
Madness.
Adam Shankman
And he just loves to laugh. And that's like. He, like, one of the greatest moments of my life. I will never forget this. I was very excited and nervous to show him the movie because I was like, oh, God, what if he hates it? You know, this is gonna be really scary.
Monet X Change
Yeah.
Adam Shankman
And he came, and I called New Line, and I said, when can I come to the east coast and show John the movie? And they said, this is so crazy. He just saw it. He came to New Line and he saw it in one of our. In our screening room.
Monet X Change
Without telling you? I feel like you're the first person they should tell.
Adam Shankman
I went crazy. I was so upset.
Monet X Change
Yeah, that's wild.
Adam Shankman
But I call my house. I got an email from him that afternoon that just said, dear Adam, I just saw the movie. You've made me the proudest grandfather in the world.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, that's amazing.
Monet X Change
I just got chills on that. And I hope you got someone fired.
Adam Shankman
I did not get anyone fired because that email was so. Had he not liked it, I would have gone berserk.
Bob the Drag Queen
Wait, I should have checked this. Did you do the Oprah episode? You should have been invited. When Oprah had the whole cast.
Adam Shankman
Yeah, I was there in the audience.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, she's another one that makes me nervous. Oprah being in the same room as Oprah seems scary. You know what? I think when you have a certain
Adam Shankman
amount of room, she feels the room.
Bob the Drag Queen
Something about being in a room with Oprah. I would be nervous. I'd be like, oh, shit, Oprah's here. You wouldn't feel uncomfortable around Oprah?
Monet X Change
Not uncomfortable. I feel like it would be a presence that would be very intimidating, and I would be. I would be nervous around her, but not scared.
Adam Shankman
I had two different experiences of her. My first experience of her was on that show, and it was interesting because she knew what she was there to do, and she knew that she was selling it, and she, like, kind of, like, nodded, and she knew that she was. You know, you could tell that she was, like, kissing it and blessing it and all of that. The second time I met her was when I produced the Oscars, and she came and she used to do shows on the Oscars. Like, she would do, like, episodes on the Oscars, and she came to, like, watch us, and she was very, very, very powerful at that time. And I was very nervous. But she came in, and she was just as lovely as lovely could be. And she was. You know, I have, like, pictures of me, like, just, like, in front of her and her making her laugh and all that. And I was like, I look like the court jester in front of the queen. This is crazy.
Bob the Drag Queen
I actually never heard anyone, like, interpersonally or even privately say anything bad about Oprah, like, who she is and, like, after meeting her, I've had people online be like, she does it. But I've never seen anyone be like, I met Oprah. She was mean.
Adam Shankman
You haven't seen that either, have you?
Bob the Drag Queen
I'm thinking, like.
Monet X Change
Like, could you imagine if, like, an. An Ellen story came up, came out about Oprah all these years later?
Bob the Drag Queen
Like, I could imagine. Yeah.
Monet X Change
I couldn't.
Bob the Drag Queen
She doesn't seem like she would be that wealthy. She is. It would not. If someone said, Oprah, like, slap someone, I wouldn't be shocked.
Monet X Change
Slap someone.
Bob the Drag Queen
I wouldn't be blown away, but I'd be like, you'd be shocked.
Adam Shankman
I would be.
Monet X Change
That would be very shocked. Physically struck someone.
Adam Shankman
I'm gonna just.
Monet X Change
You've never been raised by one of the mistakes.
Adam Shankman
As a person who's met the woman and spent some time. I. She doesn't need to slap anybody.
Bob the Drag Queen
As someone who was raised by a black woman from Mississippi and Oprah is a black woman from Mississippi. If someone said Oprah slapping, like, yeah. If someone said, like, my mom wouldn't go around, but someone said my. Your mom did slap me, I'd be like, yeah, that sounds about right. I can see my mom slapping someone at some point.
Monet X Change
The sweet was more the call.
Bob the Drag Queen
We also forget that Oprah's from Mississippi.
Adam Shankman
We do. Because she feels more Chicago, because that's where she made her home. Yeah, but. But. But it. She, like, she'll give you a look that is much, much harder than a slap. If she probably has energy, the energy will stop. The energy will. The energy like that. Anybody who has that, and particularly a woman in my experience who has that much. That much presence and power, they don't need to do a lot. Yeah. They can just sort of say in
Monet X Change
the year 2026, before we get Too far away from it. And you are recasting Hairspray. Who's your Tracy?
Adam Shankman
Who's your Edna? Hell, I don't know.
Monet X Change
You don't know?
Adam Shankman
I don't know right now.
Monet X Change
Sabrina Carpenter.
Adam Shankman
If I.
Bob the Drag Queen
Who?
Adam Shankman
Well, no, Sabrina Carpenter would be Penny. No, Sabrina Carpenter could be Penny.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah.
Adam Shankman
Oh, no, sorry. She could be the mean girl or she could be Amber.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah.
Adam Shankman
Yeah. I mean, I thought Britney was amazing. I think my kids were great. Incredible. But the Sabrina Carpenter would be. Actually, Sabrina Carpenter's really, really funny. So I think she actually could be. Yeah. Like, did you see Ariana, too? Penny? Yeah, Ariana did Penny. Like, you know what I mean? The pop girlies are always good pennies if they have a good sense of humor. But Sabrina would be a very. A very funny Amber. But you can see some of these other girlies that could be Ambers, too. It's like. I mean, I don't know. I guess I don't know enough about, like, the Tates and the Tate McCrary.
Bob the Drag Queen
And we'll move on from Hairspray, but can we just talk for a moment about the actual brilliance that is Amanda Bynes? I genuinely think Amanda Bynes might be one of the funniest people to ever get in front of a camera in the past 30 years.
Adam Shankman
Amanda brought a lot of funny.
Bob the Drag Queen
The Amanda Bynes show was a. She's the man.
Monet X Change
She's the man. It was a great movie.
Bob the Drag Queen
Amanda Bynes is brilliant.
Adam Shankman
Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah, brilliant. I feel so bad. I mean, she's doing better now. I feel. I follow her online. I am kind of obsessed with Amanda Bynes because I am 39 years old, so we're probably almost either close to the same age or. How old is Eminem, Jacob?
Monet X Change
Oh, let me guess. I'm gonna say Amanda bias is 49.
Bob the Drag Queen
40. We're the same age. We're born the same year. Yeah.
Adam Shankman
Oh, my God. My kids are 40. Jesus Christ. Well, here's the real is. I made that movie 20 years ago this year, so that movie's 20 years old.
Monet X Change
Are you gonna do a big 20th anniversary something?
Adam Shankman
Well, it was released in 2007, so that's up to Warner Brothers, like, if they want to do something.
Bob the Drag Queen
Are we invited?
Adam Shankman
Yes. Yay.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay.
Adam Shankman
What?
Bob the Drag Queen
Why is it on camera like that? That's crazy. Well, I'll call Ricki Lake and ask her to invite me. I'll be her plus one. Okay. As if Ricky Lake wouldn't be her plus one.
Monet X Change
So stop that train. Did you approach World of Wonder, or were they doing something that we need Adam's chakra.
Bob the Drag Queen
You think Adam's shaking was at while begging for work? Not begging, but you think you. Whoa, whoa. Oh, God. You think Adam Shankman, who directed some of your favorite films.
Monet X Change
You're yelling.
Bob the Drag Queen
Was on his hands and knees begging. Randy and Fenton.
Monet X Change
You're yelling.
Bob the Drag Queen
Please give me a job.
Monet X Change
You're yelling.
Adam Shankman
I can tell you what happened.
Monet X Change
Tell me, Adam.
Adam Shankman
I was doing. I was judging on an episode. I don't know if it was my last one or the one before that, but in between. Something in between. Like on the judging day, Randy came up to me and said, hey, can I have a talk? And I said, sure. And he said, we have a script, and Ru would really love you to look at it and see if you'd be interested. And I was like, girl, do you know what you're getting into? That's like putting a hamster. That's like putting Godzilla in a hamster cage. Are you sure? And he said, yes, we think it's really, really funny. And I was nervous because, first of all, I've known RuPaul for. Since 1994, so I was like. And Rue's a very special friend to me. And so I was like, oh, boy. I don't want to just turn down something, but at the same time, I don't want to make something. Like, I don't want to get myself in a position where I'm making something that I'm not necessarily going to be proud of. And I don't know how they were. I didn't know how they were planning on making any. I didn't know anything about it. And he pitched me kind of the tone of it, which was like, you know, it's in the old, like, airplane style movie. It's just a. And I said. I said, look, I'll read it. Let me see what I think of it, and then we can have a talk. So a couple days later, they sent it to me and I read it. It was funny as fuck. And so I was. So I called Randy and I said, look, I like it. I like it a lot, but are you guys comfortable with me kind of being, you know, we're a team, but this is like, more my sandbox. And. And so I need you guys to be on board with that and let me do what I do. And he said, yeah. So I said, okay, let's talk about it. So that's how that kind of happened, but I think it was right after I did either. I can't remember if it was after. Sound Of Rusik. Or if it was after that last All Stars.
Bob the Drag Queen
Where.
Adam Shankman
The last All Stars.
Monet X Change
Yeah, All Stars.
Adam Shankman
Nicole Page Books.
Monet X Change
Yeah, girl Ruke and Remedy the names go. We.
Bob the Drag Queen
We do our podcast.
Monet X Change
We can't. We are on this podcast, fighting for a lot.
Adam Shankman
You know, at this point. Wait, do you know at this point, 700 girls. 700 in all.
Bob the Drag Queen
Never enough between.
Monet X Change
You mean, like, all globally or just in America?
Adam Shankman
Not just in America, no.
Bob the Drag Queen
It would be like we're about 300 in America. Yeah, about 300. You want to apologize to Adam for seeing when he was begging for a job before we move on. Anyway, I would like to apologize to my friend because I know. I know that you wouldn't beg.
Monet X Change
And you.
Adam Shankman
You. You're. I was not, in fact, begging for a job, and I was very flattered that they would consider me, and I. That is actually how I felt.
Monet X Change
Adam, what do you mean, your pedigree.
Bob the Drag Queen
Honestly, no shame.
Adam Shankman
But. But remember, considering the show. Here's the thing. I. I don't know what you know about me, but I've, like, worn a lot of hats. Like, I was a dancer, then I was a choreographer, then I was directing, then I'm a producer, and I've written books, and so. And when you go and do tv, you're not really the boss. You're the. As a director, you're, like, trying to get the writers. So I'm really adept at putting on different hats. When I'm at Drag Race, I'm there to put on a sparkly jacket and to, like, say shit to the girls like that. That's it. I've been on tv when I was on so youo Think youk Can Dance for all those years, I know what my job is. So my mind was in sitting behind that desk or choreographing whatever thing that I did. And I. And that's where my head was. So when they came at me as the director thing, I was. It actually confused me for a second. I was like. I had to switch gears because I don't think of my. Whenever I. Whatever job I'm in, that's where I'm at.
Bob the Drag Queen
Were you, like, a fan of Drag Race before you went on it, to be a judge?
Adam Shankman
So here's. Here's my history with Drag Race, which is interesting, and I'll try to make it really short, which was that in the. In the first couple of seasons, it was right after I'd been on so youo Think youk Can Dance, somebody reached out and said, would you be a judge? And I was really, really. I just didn't want to be behind a desk again. I didn't want to be on TV anymore. I didn't want camera. I wanted people to remember I was a director. I did not want to be a TV personality anymore. And I. And so I said no. And then I ended up going out with. And getting engaged. I was with somebody for 13 years who worked in casting on Drag Race and who probably edited Yalls videos.
Bob the Drag Queen
Lucky Devil.
Adam Shankman
And he. And he was very. He was like, don't sit behind a desk anymore. Don't sit behind a desk anymore. Anyway, I just never got into Drag Race. I never watched it. It never happened. When I went off and I was shooting Disenchanted in Dublin, Amy Adams, like, all of them, my assistant choreographers, my.
Monet X Change
All that.
Adam Shankman
Everybody was just talking about Drag Race, Drag Race, Drag Race, Drag Race. It was all anybody was talking about. It was during Pandemic. And I was just like, God, y' all are crazy about this show. I went home. I came home from Dublin and I went, well, we're still in Pandemic. I'm still locked down. I'm still living alone. I still, like, I'm still isolated. I need something to binge. I was like, I might as well try Drag Race. I put on the first episode, season one.
Monet X Change
And you never put it off.
Adam Shankman
I didn't turn it off for three weeks. And I hit every episode of every franchise that existed. And about a week and a half in, when I had consumed so much of it, I texted Ru and I said, I get it now. You brought drag into the daylight and you've done this extraordinary thing, and I cannot fucking believe it. And good on ya, and congratulations, basically. And somewhere around then, you know, we talked about, hey, would you ever come on and judge? And I was like, sure. Nothing would make me happier.
Bob the Drag Queen
Now you're like a Drag Race mainstay.
Adam Shankman
No, I'm like, three times.
Bob the Drag Queen
You know, I think you're recurring enough that people are like, oh, we know exactly.
Monet X Change
Yeah, for sure.
Bob the Drag Queen
There are people who. There are people who know you as a. They're like, that's the guy from Drag Race. People see you and shit. Like, you're the guy from Drag Race.
Adam Shankman
Well, that's because I don't exist out in the world, you know, other than, you know that people don't exist out in the world unless you're on TV or on your phone or, like, whatever.
Monet X Change
Yeah.
Adam Shankman
So also three times. But you're also like, choreographing. You're doing a lot More than most. Well, that was the funny. Well, that was the best part, is the first time that I did it, I said, oh, I'd love to. I'd love to. And then this is my memory of it. I remember. Oh, I remember what happened. I saw an episode before I went on where Janicza Bravo was hosting, and she wasn't judging. She was actually working with the girls. She was directing the girls. And I was like, well, I'm gonna direct the girls.
Monet X Change
She directed the shit out of us.
Adam Shankman
Directed the girls. And so I called Theron and I was like, you know, it would be. I don't know if there's, like, anything for me to do, but if I'm gonna be on there, is there anything for me to do other than that? Next thing I know, they're like, oh, my God, this is so great. We're putting you on this episode. And now here's your schedule. You don't have one day, you have three days. And I was like, wait, wait, wait, what am I doing? They're like, no, you're gonna choreograph and direct the whole. The rusical. And I was like, well, what does that mean? Like. And then suddenly I'm like, in it. And. And I didn't really understand, like, Is it commonly understood how that all works? Yeah, I mean, I don't.
Bob the Drag Queen
I ain't never been. I, I.
Monet X Change
You weren't. I mean, you were in the spirit. The, the Pitch Perfect one. That's over two days. He's talking about, like, the process of doing it.
Bob the Drag Queen
I thought you mean the process of, like, being a director.
Monet X Change
No, no, no.
Adam Shankman
The process of, like, of how that gets rehearsed.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. I'll tell you after this ad break.
Adam Shankman
Bonjour, compadre. It's the Priceline negotiator. How do I negotiate so many great travel deals? My greatest gadget, the Priceline app. It's got hotel deals, flight deals, rental car deals, all of those deals in a bundle deals, game day deals, concert trip deals. No one deals more deals than Priceline. Hold your horses, there's more. The app lets you filter hotels by neighborhood vibe, star level, and amenities like pools and spas and beachfronts. Wait, I'm not done. Stop cutting me up.

This episode is sponsored by Basque and leather. For a long time, I was following hair bites. That just was not meant for me. I'm talking about trying to treat my hair like it was a completely different texture, using products that were way too heavy, full of harsh synthetics, and just sat on top of my head like a film.
Bob the Drag Queen
You know that feeling when you're following
Podcast Host
that one size fits all routine and your hair is still dry, breaking and just sad. It's frustrating.
Bob the Drag Queen
You feel like something's wrong with you,
Podcast Host
but really the products just aren't speaking your language. My advice to anyone stuck using popular methods that don't give the results that you're looking for is stop forcing it and use ingredients that actually respect your texture. That is exactly why I've been loving Basque and leather. They create products specifically for textured hair needs. I've been using their stimulating scalp and hair balm and the difference and strength is real. It's 100% natural, made for curly or kinky hair to help reduce breakage and add that shine we're all looking for. What I love most is that it actually penetrates the hair strands without clogging your pores. No petroleum, no linolein, and absolutely no grease residue when used regularly. Users have seen results in about three months. I'm also obsessed with their Hydrating Hair Mist. It combines aloe vera and avocado oil, which is a lifesaver for reducing frizz, treating dryness and detangling. It's perfect if you're rocking protective styles like locs, twists or braids. Honestly, if you go to their site and look at the before and after shots, the results are wild and the story behind the brand is incredible. It's black owned and family operated. When a dermatologist misdiagnosed CEO Shana's younger sister and said that her hair may never grow back, the family took matters into their own hands. Shana and her mother researched and formulated their own scalp and hair oil to stimulate growth and retain length. Today, her sister's hair is down to her hips. That's the kind of dedication I want in my cabinet. Explore viral bestsellers and products of healthier hair of all types from Basque and leather. Adam, this is not your sandbox, honey.
Adam Shankman
This is not at all. I'm happy to play in yours. I'm happy to. I cede control. I told you I know what my gig is. Whenever I'm there, I know what chair I'm sitting in.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, I'm just. I tease a lot.
Monet X Change
Well, what we're talking about, like dragons has changed over the time. Like when Bob did it, all those, like, what, a decade ago?
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay, say it again, but don't make it sound like. Like I'm ancient or something. Okay, so say it again, but be nice about it.
Monet X Change
Okay, so way back in Bob's time, over a decade ago, when he did it, it was a different thing. And I've done draggers three times in the. In the past decade, so. It has.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. Some girls gotta redo. Some people want to see some of us on camera.
Monet X Change
So yours was a seed.
Bob the Drag Queen
You on camera?
Adam Shankman
All right.
Monet X Change
I mean, I would. It's funny. So. So what you would do is you would film in one day, and then you. You did it. You rehearsed it.
Bob the Drag Queen
You get it on Monday, you get the. So you get all the music when you get to drag race. Every song, every challenge, everything when you show up.
Adam Shankman
And then including the rusical.
Bob the Drag Queen
Every with everything. Yeah. And then on, like, Monday, you get. They're like, okay, today is the day we're doing the rusical. And then you do it that day. You direct yourselves. We choreograph ourselves. No one's helping us. We are just making the whole thing up. And then Tuesday, you perform it for camera. For camera. Yeah, but we rehearsed it on camera, too. Like I rehearsed. We used to. Actually, the real rehearsal was on camera.
Sponsor Voice
Got it.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. Like, we, like, we literally. We were literally. Like.
Monet X Change
First of all, it was logo. First of all, your season was three days long. It was logo. And they couldn't afford to do all this extra stuff.
Adam Shankman
That's.
Monet X Change
Honey, I was a Paramount plus. Honey, Paramount plus, you should.
Bob the Drag Queen
First of all, you should be so lucky that pioneers like me went to the dregs of Logo.
Adam Shankman
You crawled so that she could ride relics.
Bob the Drag Queen
I shanked so you could shaw. I shawed so you could shank and have a redemption. Okay.
Monet X Change
Okay. Well, Adam, since you are obviously a very accomplished direct choreographer, Tommy, if you had to name your favorite lip sync of Drag Race of all time, who is it?
Adam Shankman
Oh, hell no. I don't, I don't.
Monet X Change
Your favorite one?
Adam Shankman
I couldn't name one right now. I've seen so many lip syncs at this point, I couldn't tell you.
Monet X Change
Okay, who's your.
Adam Shankman
I'll tell you who I remember.
Bob the Drag Queen
Monet wants you to say her personal.
Monet X Change
No, I do not.
Bob the Drag Queen
Monet wants you to. No, I do not.
Adam Shankman
I'll tell you who consistently I loved their lip syncs was Anitra.
Monet X Change
Anitra.
Adam Shankman
Anitra is a really good lip syncer.
Bob the Drag Queen
She's amazing.
Adam Shankman
Yeah, and, and, and, but like, and then there's the other part where I love watching silky go out there and like all that. You know, it's like, it just depends on like what the thing. But I'm not one of those ones who's just like, oh, my God, that was the gaggiest one ever of all time. I'm just like, I'll just sit and like, look at it and go like, that was really gay. But I can't think of one like that. That I can think of, like, probably my favorite. I will never, ever forget. Read you, wrote you.
Monet X Change
Oh.
Adam Shankman
Huh.
Monet X Change
All stars too.
Adam Shankman
Yeah, yeah. And All Stars 2. That was probably to be a seminal iconic thing that I was like.
Monet X Change
I would agree.
Adam Shankman
Those girls, that, that, that I don't know how long they must have rehearsed that. I don't know what that was, but because that shit was on point, everything about it.
Bob the Drag Queen
The way Alaska came out and set the motherfucking scene when she said, hey, girls, my name's Alaska, I got a tiny little question to ask you. Who's that bitch that's on the top? Oh, wait, that's me. Hey, pork chop. Like the poet. Alaska, the poet laureate. We tip our hats to you.
Adam Shankman
Yeah, well, and also, it was
Bob the Drag Queen
Roxy.
Adam Shankman
Rocky also was like that. I mean, those four girls, like, that was just so mind bending.
Bob the Drag Queen
It really changed the game. What it means.
Monet X Change
It did, it did, it did. Okay, now, so when I was pitched to be and stop that train, I have to tell you, so pitch. Yes.
Adam Shankman
You begged, you begged no, she did not.
Monet X Change
And then. So I have to tell y', all,
Bob the Drag Queen
because we're so nice. Adam's a very good person. You're not bad. You're just nice.
Adam Shankman
I am. And I'm also not gonna let false information out. Thank you.
Monet X Change
Because Bob loves fake news. She's a bit of fake news. So we get an email from the director, Adam Shankman of the movie, saying, like, just so y' all know, in this movie, y' all are not drag queens, honey. Y' all are actors, and y' all are playing women in this thing. So I was, like, nervous. I was like, what does that mean? He's playing. I was like, no. Like, you guys are playing this role in the thing, and I don't want you to think of yourself, of. You're, like, doing the drag queen thing. You are. I hire you as an actor to be. To play this part in the thing. So that meant our makeup was going to be different.
Bob the Drag Queen
And I was like, do you know? I was. This is total makeup. This is a total side note. I was talking about. Yesterday was the second anniversary of my mother passing away. So I was, like, going. I was thinking about my mom a lot. And did you know that my mom viewed you as a woman?
Monet X Change
A lot of people do.
Bob the Drag Queen
My mother, like, saw you as her daughter. Like, my mother was like, oh, yeah, my daughter Monet.
Adam Shankman
I didn't love that.
Bob the Drag Queen
Like, my mother was like, oh, Monet the woman.
Monet X Change
But when we all got to know her, Adam, all the girls are like, girl.
Bob the Drag Queen
Because we saw you on Lovecraft Country.
Monet X Change
Girl 1, Lovecraft Country. They were doing period woman, but they want. I was looking like a woman from a strictly woman from the 1940s with what they would use in the 1940.
Adam Shankman
Aren't you in the new featurette? Isn't there a shot of you in the new featurette that just came out that you can see that way?
Bob the Drag Queen
And I look good. You always look good. I know, but, like, I'm used to.
Monet X Change
Even though Bob accuses me of not wearing a lot of makeup, he's like, my makeup is small. I don't wear a lot of makeup. It takes a lot of makeup to make me look that soft. So seeing it, I was like, if you fast forward a little bit, I'm
Bob the Drag Queen
like, I'll just listen to Oscar man. Let it play, Jake. I'll just watch what I was playing while I talk.
Monet X Change
And then so. But look. Look at Jujubee. Jujubee is that is soft makeup. She looks like a woman, though. She looks like a Gym.
Bob the Drag Queen
But jujubee always looks like a cisgender woman.
Monet X Change
Ginger Minj.
Adam Shankman
There we go.
Podcast Host
Jacob.
Bob the Drag Queen
You had to warn me before. Rob, you're such an asshole. No, you look good.
Monet X Change
You look good. That is a sis woman, honey.
Bob the Drag Queen
Now, I will be honest with you guys. I did beg and I did not get put in the movie.
Adam Shankman
That is not the case. I promise you that.
Bob the Drag Queen
I was outside of Adam's house. Be like, Adam, why don't you?
Adam Shankman
Like, look at Latrice. That's womana. Hold on. Yes, honey.
Bob the Drag Queen
All the girls are wearing just a
Monet X Change
little tinted moisturizer, a little shadow like we are wearing. And I was nervous.
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't.
Monet X Change
I was. We were all like, Adam Shang was trying to get us. We're about to all look like Boo
Bob the Drag Queen
the Fool on this thing.
Monet X Change
I can't believe you're gonna do that. But the makeup looks good.
Bob the Drag Queen
We look just like yourself.
Adam Shankman
No.
Monet X Change
So someone. Someone did my makeup. Natasha. Oh, you don't know Natasha?
Bob the Drag Queen
Natasha, who did our prosthetics.
Monet X Change
No, no, no.
Adam Shankman
Brooke.
Monet X Change
Look at Brooklyn.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, here's the tea.
Monet X Change
Can I tell you some inside tea?
Adam Shankman
Yeah.
Monet X Change
Okay, so Brooklyn hides Adam Shankman. When they will finish her makeup, she would go to her trailer and add her own makeup to it.
Adam Shankman
Did not know outing Brooklyn Heights.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah.
Monet X Change
So.
Bob the Drag Queen
So if the makeup reunion is watching.
Monet X Change
Yes.
Bob the Drag Queen
We need to have a mark on Brooklyn Heist. These fucking immigrants are coming to America, taking our fucking jobs and ruining our unions. Brooke Lynn Hytes is a union buster and she needs to be addressed. Thank you for bringing this to light, Monette.
Monet X Change
Marcia's wearing more makeup than she's ever worn.
Bob the Drag Queen
Marcia, Marsha, thank you for giving us your talents.
Monet X Change
No, but everyone looks so good. I'm so. And you know, the trailers and stuff, it's real. It looks like a really fucking hilarious movie.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. I got to tell you right now. Now, full T. That's actually how some of my lists. I watched this trailer and I'm gonna tell you right now, Adam, I had my expectations very low. It had nothing to do with you had nothing to do with it. But, baby, when I tell you way Bey and y', all, this is not paid.
Monet X Change
It's not paid at all.
Bob the Drag Queen
Ain't nobody paying us to say this. And I've not seen the movie yet, but the trailer looks really looks good. It looks really funny. I am excited to see it. I really feel like it's going to be a new classic. This is. This is. This is going to be the next Girls Will Be Girls. You remember Girls Will Be Girls. Oh, my God. Jean Merman, Coco Peru, and this other actor who doesn't really do drag, but does drag for that movie. It's like one of those. It's like a gay classic. It's like a gay. Google Girls Will Be Girls. It's one of those movies that you gotta see. It's like a gay.
Adam Shankman
I'd love to see it.
Bob the Drag Queen
Girls Will Be Girls. No drag. That'd be Girls Be Girls. Drag. This movie is absolutely brilliant.
Monet X Change
I've never even heard. I've never heard of this.
Bob the Drag Queen
When I tell you, based on what I know about you, really, you will love this.
Monet X Change
Look at Barla Jean, a woman, When
Bob the Drag Queen
I tell you will love this film.
Monet X Change
I need to watch this movie.
Adam Shankman
I'm telling you, I need to see it now.
Bob the Drag Queen
You will text me after you watch it.
Adam Shankman
I will.
Bob the Drag Queen
And tell me if I was right or not.
Adam Shankman
I will, I will. I'm down. Like, this looks crazy.
Bob the Drag Queen
It's a, it's a brilliant movie. And Varg Mirman is so good in it. And Coco Peru is just next level. It's just, it's what I think.
Monet X Change
Also I love in the trailer is it's just a joke after joke after joke after joke.
Bob the Drag Queen
Look at Coco Peru.
Adam Shankman
It is. Well, what, you know what's crazy about like the trailer is because of the mpaa, you. We couldn't show the motion picture. It's the ratings.
Bob the Drag Queen
Got it. Okay.
Adam Shankman
And because how, when you can, where you can show things in movie theaters, on YouTube now, things like that, unless it's red banded, we couldn't show anything
Bob the Drag Queen
like, including, by the way, was red banded.
Adam Shankman
It means that it's not general audience. Like, like it's like restricted.
Monet X Change
It means it's restricted. It's not general audience.
Adam Shankman
Yeah.
Sponsor Voice
She didn't know.
Adam Shankman
So. And they didn't want it to have it. They didn't want a red band trailer. Even though we are an R rated movie.
Monet X Change
Right?
Adam Shankman
We are because of all of the. That we want to see because of, because of the intense penetrative sex and, and the enormous amount of gun violence.
Monet X Change
So at one point, RuPaul.
Bob the Drag Queen
Full frontal nudity. Yeah, yeah, RuPaul did a full frontal
Adam Shankman
nudity right after we shot a live snuff video. So it's like, no. What did it. You know, there's language stuff in it. And then there is. But, but like, for example, in that even I think in this, in the featurette, they show the part where, where juju gets hit by the door and you can see her bleeding and you can't even show blood in a regular trailer anymore. They have to, like, dye it brown and all this shit. Like, it's really weird. Anyway, so we have a lot of stuff that we could never even show in the trailer trailers.
Bob the Drag Queen
So some people like that. My partner, one of my partners, he, like, he thinks trailers are spoilers. So he won't even watch a trailer before going to a film.
Monet X Change
How does he know he wants to see a movie?
Bob the Drag Queen
He based off the name and who's in it.
Adam Shankman
He.
Bob the Drag Queen
I mean, he won't even watch a trailer. But in his defense, some of these trailers are just telling you the beginning, middle, end and plot twist of the film, which is crazy. What is the director's part in making a trailer like?
Monet X Change
Oh, yeah, that's a good point.
Adam Shankman
Well, it depends on who the director cruise.
Bob the Drag Queen
And what about when it's Adam Shankman?
Adam Shankman
When it's Adam Shankman? If a trailer comes in that I feel is not. Is not actually conveying the actual movie, then I'll step in and be like, I have a problem. And can we go in and can we look at this?
Bob the Drag Queen
Years ago, Rent did a trailer that was not like the film Rent, The.
Monet X Change
The movie Rent, the movie that came out in 2008.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yes. So my. My mom. Sorry, my mom. A lot. My mom watched Rent because she saw the trailer and it looked really happy. It was like,
Adam Shankman
okay, I have. I have a story about that.
Monet X Change
I.
Adam Shankman
100%, very quickly, because I had a. I had a phone meeting about directing Rent.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh.
Adam Shankman
And when I.
Bob the Drag Queen
It was Chris Columbus, right?
Adam Shankman
I read the. Yes, it ended up being Chris Columbus. And before Chris took the movie, I was one of the people that they talked to. And I said to them, look, my. My feeling is like, who are you? Are you trying to grab the MTV audience? Because that's. That's, you know, the young general audience and all of that. Because I don't think you can make this movie as the best version of the movie without it being rich. Because it's one thing on stage to come in and he's come home and she's killed herself in the tub like that. It's all happen. All the bad shit in Rent happens off stage. You never. You never see all the bad shit that happens off stage. All the aids, all the things like that. There's the. There's the one getting 16. That's it.
Bob the Drag Queen
Mar.
Adam Shankman
Angel gets sick. That's the only thing you see that's of any real consequence on stage. When you're making a movie, my feeling is like, no, you got to show all that. You can't. There is no off stage. Like, you know, so I. The second I said, like, no, no, you'd go in and you'd see the bathtub full of blood, and, you know, all of that. I was like, that was the end of me on that.
Bob the Drag Queen
They were done with you.
Adam Shankman
Because I was like, well, because it was in the script that he goes in, and I was like. And then in the script, it was like, like, well, and then the thing. And he opens the door and you see his face, and I was like, no, no, I don't. I don't want. I don't want to, like, show, like, a bathtub full of blood. But if we're gonna do it in. If we're gonna show the scene where he comes in and sees it, then you should see it. Like, I don't like. It was. It was a very. And. And the doing of the drugs, the shooting, the heroin, the doing, all that kind of stuff that makes it all
Bob the Drag Queen
r. You want to make gritty rant Rent.
Adam Shankman
I want to make real rent.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. I mean, the rumors I had heard, being a plebeian like myself, who hasn't. Who has very little work in the film industry. Well. Movie industry. Is that the word on the street was that it came down to you. Spike Lee and Chris Columbus and. Spike Lee. Spike Lee directed School Days.
Adam Shankman
Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
And Spike Lee is a great director.
Monet X Change
I mean, that's crazy.
Adam Shankman
Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
You never seen School Days?
Adam Shankman
This?
Monet X Change
No.
Adam Shankman
School Days is so good. I love School Days.
Bob the Drag Queen
It's. It's Tashina Arnold. No, Tisha Campbell.
Adam Shankman
Tisha Campbell.
Bob the Drag Queen
Tisha Campbell. Now Spike Lee. Who else is in School Days. Days with a Z. Is it Days with a Z? Did I make that up?
Adam Shankman
Yeah. I can't remember.
Monet X Change
Sounds right.
Adam Shankman
It was. It's just a. My memory of it. I haven't. Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
So it's Samuel Jackson. Jasmine Guy is in Lawrence Fishburne. Jasmine Campbell. Yeah. Oh, girl, you have to see School Days. School Days is a brilliant movie. Okay.
Adam Shankman
Girls.
Monet X Change
Girls. Girls will. Girls. School Days.
Bob the Drag Queen
Girls will be Girls. Oh, Girls will be Girls and School Days. These are required. These are required, required films.
Adam Shankman
Girls will. Girls is another.
Bob the Drag Queen
Girls will fuck Girls that was cut from. That was the version you would have done it with.
Adam Shankman
No, like, but, like, for the rule
Bob the Drag Queen
of thing, it was down to y' all three.
Adam Shankman
Like, I. I have. Like, when I. I look at a piece of me, like, sometimes it hasn't worked out in many cases, but my initial instinct to do that, I have to Pay attention now. Now to this. And because for so long, like, I'm a people pleaser. And it's like I oftentimes. Which is why I'll never, like, call myself an artist or something like that. Because, like, look, no, I'm a clown. Like, I, I, I just. I just do what I do. But, like, when I made Rock of Ages, I desperately tried to convince New Line to let me shoot at 16 millimeter. And I wanted to shoot it, like, fast times a Ridgemont High. I wanted to do it really down, dirty, like a movie. Like a rock and roll movie from the 80s. And they were like, no, no, no, no. You're the hairspray director. You're this guy. You have this. It needs to have all these movie stars. And I was like, please, please, please. They're like, no. And then I conceded and I said yes. And I. And I regret it. Like, I still wish that I had been able to make. That was my version of the movie was that 16 millimeter down and dirty gritty. I mean, I'm, you know, I'm proud of, like, the work that I did with Tom Cruise. There's some really good, fun musical numbers I loved working with. Like, there was, like, some great, Like, I had some great fun making the movie, but it wasn't the movie I wanted to make.
Bob the Drag Queen
Mary J. Is a brilliant actor, too. Sorry to take a side note. Mary J. Is. She was in Mudbound. Mudbound. So Mary J. Blige is the first.
Adam Shankman
She's been on everything, like, all the, all the stars, TV shows, stuff like that.
Bob the Drag Queen
She's an umbrella academy. Mary J. Blige is the first actor to be nominated for an Oscar in the same year for music and for acting. She's the first actor ever to do that. Second was Lady Gaga.
Adam Shankman
She's also the coolest lady ever. I love me some Mary J. Yeah,
Bob the Drag Queen
I mean, I'm a. You know, you don't, you don't gotta set me right down. I'm. I'm low key. I'm a little bit assessing. Ray J. I want to be a director.
Monet X Change
You said Ray J. Mary J.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay, what I gotta do. What do I gotta do to direct a. A big film? Who do I gotta talk to?
Adam Shankman
A big film.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, okay.
Monet X Change
A small film just out the gates. Want to just direct the next film?
Adam Shankman
You can just do, like, what Sean Baker did and make Tangerine. Like, anybody can make a movie.
Bob the Drag Queen
Are you gonna let me, like, shadow you on a film or maybe, like, be an intern or three or four? How nice you're gonna be to me nicer than this.
Adam Shankman
Yeah, please.
Bob the Drag Queen
I don't believe it. I don't believe it.
Adam Shankman
Because. Because, by the way, when I'm. When I'm in that chair and not this chair, it's a different me.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh. I. Listen, I know my role. Anyone who. I mean, I. I joke on the podcast a lot. I'm really silly, but I'm actually a nice person.
Monet X Change
I swear. I swear.
Bob the Drag Queen
Right, everyone? No, but. Okay, I'll intern and I'll get the coffee. I will be on time. I will be taking notes. I'll have the Google Doc with all the information in it.
Monet X Change
But you won't have an assistant to do all those things for you. So how are you gonna do it?
Bob the Drag Queen
I can do that stuff.
Adam Shankman
You're like. You're, like famous and stuff. Like, what are you talking about?
Bob the Drag Queen
But to get my foot in the industry.
Adam Shankman
Cause I think we can have a side talk about if you'd like to direct. Shit. I think I need to direct.
Bob the Drag Queen
What I'm getting at.
Adam Shankman
Is that so?
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. And I think that you could be the person to mentor me.
Adam Shankman
I'd be happy to. Why? What are your qualities that make you a good director?
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay, so I have good vision. I have really. I see. I have really, really good ideas.
Adam Shankman
Is that so?
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. Oh, yeah. I genuinely have really brilliant ideas. Tell them.
Adam Shankman
Is that so?
Bob the Drag Queen
Tell them. They're good ideas.
Monet X Change
Bob has really good ideas.
Bob the Drag Queen
See, I just got a little cosign.
Adam Shankman
Tell me one.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay. Ooh. I have this great idea.
Adam Shankman
Okay.
Bob the Drag Queen
Which one? Oh, my God. Which one? I don't even know where to start. Oh, this is so exciting.
Adam Shankman
Is this. Wait, is this. Is this a pitch for a movie?
Bob the Drag Queen
Some of them are music videos.
Adam Shankman
Okay.
Bob the Drag Queen
Some of them are music videos. Okay. So I've been thinking about Garden of Eden.
Adam Shankman
Okay.
Bob the Drag Queen
Garden of Eden is Lady Gaga song
Monet X Change
from take you to the garden of Eden.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah. So I envisioned this world where the song starts, like. And I think what's happening is. We're on. Like, we're in a. Just a blank think space. Like, you literally. There's Nothing exists because this is before
Monet X Change
time, a cycle, or like. Like.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, like, think. What was that movie, Jacob, where the person knows everything and then they travel through time? Lucy. No, it's Lucy. Whoa.
Monet X Change
You just described the movie, and I get you're surprised that I guess.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, we're so locked in. So at the end of Lucy, when Lucy, who's the actor who wrote Scarlett. Scarlett Johansson with ScarJo, like, she is in this big empty space, the void it starts in the void, and then God is creating the Garden of Eden. This is the first place anyone's ever existed. Right. I think that you can see somehow. We'll work with the graphic designers and the graphic artists how the world is, like, crawling out of itself, and then the vines are showing up. And then I believe that out of nothingness. Out of nothingness, yes, yes. And then God is creating Adam, and then he pulls the rib out and then drops the rib to the ground, and Lady Gaga, like, forms from the rib.
Adam Shankman
Do I get to play Adam?
Bob the Drag Queen
Obviously. Okay, good. Your namesake Lady Gaga.
Adam Shankman
I'm uniquely qualified.
Bob the Drag Queen
And because of all the full frontal nudity, you're comfortable with 100 Lady Gaga forms from the. You know,
Adam Shankman
so she's giving poison ivy. Like, there's like.
Bob the Drag Queen
No, she's still, like, naked. Like, she's like, oh, she's naked. Okay, naked. But I don't wanna do the palm. I want, like, I want her strategically walking through spaces with leaves covering her. But I don't want, like a, like a palm leaf or whatever they're using in, like, these, these depictions we see online.
Adam Shankman
Okay.
Monet X Change
I want.
Bob the Drag Queen
So I, and I feel like she's, you know, navigating the garden, and then, you know, right when it goes, I t take you to the Garden of Eden, I think she pulls the apple down. And then I think once she pulls the apple down, that's when she takes a bite. She's aware of her nakedness just like they are in the Bible. And then that's when, like, a lot of. So I haven't, I mean, it takes a while to describe the whole thing, but that's essentially my, my fantasy. Lady Gaga is Eve in the Garden of Eden. She bites the apple. The snake. I think we have to do a break where the snake has to be played by someone with an interesting voice. I think Bernie Sanders would be a really great person to, to be the I Lady Gaga. I do believe you should bite the apple.
Monet X Change
No, no, I, I, I think, I think it, it should be Whoopi.
Bob the Drag Queen
See, that's Whoopi.
Sponsor Voice
Whoopi's playing this man.
Bob the Drag Queen
That's a good choice. That's a good choice. I love it. You'll refine me under your tutelage.
Adam Shankman
What I would do is I would make you hone your ideas. I would make it, I would make you, like, get into more specifics and to start pulling the imagery and, and all of that. Make your Pinterest board of, like, you know, things like that start to use cinematic references like DPs that you like, you know, directors you like, whatever. And once you have that and then you can. Yeah. You can kind of foment a greater idea that. Not that that is, but like the bigger picture. Yeah. Like. And so get a 30, 000 foot view because what you are, is you're. You're living in the details.
Bob the Drag Queen
You're living.
Adam Shankman
You're living in moments. And when you're thinking about telling a bigger picture story, the details should follow the big picture story.
Bob the Drag Queen
See, this is the kind of. This is the kind of mentorship I need. And when I get.
Adam Shankman
When I get my opinion, this is only my opinion.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, you're very qualified opinion.
Adam Shankman
Okay. And did you just call me old?
Bob the Drag Queen
No, I called you brilliance, which I
Adam Shankman
genuinely do think you're a really kind of you.
Bob the Drag Queen
I have a question, but I'm not gonna finish my last thing I want to say before you. And I just want you to know that when I get my direct my Oscar for directing.
Adam Shankman
Yep.
Bob the Drag Queen
I will. You will be the first man I
Adam Shankman
say you said that's inappropriate, so put me down on the list. But I appreciate it.
Bob the Drag Queen
Like to the end.
Adam Shankman
You gotta do your mama well.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah, my mom's gonna be in there. I'm gonna tell my mom every other name of the lie. I'm like Martha, Adam Monet, Martha, obviously Jacob, Martha. But you'll be in there somewhere.
Adam Shankman
I appreciate that. I'll take it.
Bob the Drag Queen
Thank you.
Monet X Change
When Stop that Train is a hit in the classic.
Adam Shankman
I love it.
Monet X Change
Are you interested in expanding the Drag Race cinematic universe?
Adam Shankman
Well, I am. Look, I think of the. The movie as being, you know, like, again, it doesn't exist without Drag Race. But the idea of having a drag cinematic arm of that that doesn't necessarily have to reference the show that can exist on its own, that actually positions these extraordinary artists that are coming out of their. And makes them bigger stars and puts us into people's homes in a different way than Drag Race. And to really understand the full artistry, not in the little bites that Drag Race does. Not in a competitive environment that is exciting to me. And would I work with World of Wonder again?
Bob the Drag Queen
Of course.
Adam Shankman
Like, I love those guys. Those guys, we get along great. I mean, we're like little brother, sister, Y. But it's like, like, I would always. I. I loved working with them and I love Rue and I love. You know.
Bob the Drag Queen
So if you guys want to see Stop that Train, you can catch it this Friday in theaters. I know that I'm going to be seeing it. I'm very Excited to see it. Let's go together. We go together.
Monet X Change
I love that.
Bob the Drag Queen
And I'm going to talk during the movie.
Monet X Change
Adam, let me tell you something. Bob is. Do you talk through the movie, by the way?
Adam Shankman
This is a movie. You could talk through the way I
Bob the Drag Queen
talk in the movie is the most appropriate way to talk to.
Adam Shankman
You're not everybody in it.
Monet X Change
You're not being honest. He's not talking. Bob is doing a tight five throughout the entire movie, telling Jo, I'm punching it up. He's doing. He's doing his own show. And it's the one last question I have from Bob.
Bob the Drag Queen
Bob that you're lying.
Monet X Change
It is says from Bob. Why Ginger?
Adam Shankman
I got nothing to do. We're not doing that.
Bob the Drag Queen
I did not say that. You're a fucking liar.
Adam Shankman
We're not doing that.
Bob the Drag Queen
Incredibly talented.
Adam Shankman
A bunch of drag queens. Y' all can work.
Bob the Drag Queen
No.
Monet X Change
Ging and I, we. We. We does something with Hulu together. And I'm saying you literally brilliant.
Bob the Drag Queen
You know what? She's a problem.
Adam Shankman
Juju and Ginger are the absolute beating heart of the movie, and they are. And their legitimate friendship creates. Is something that creates so much like actual anchoring to this crazy, crazy thing that we made that it's. That it. It's actually the thing that makes the movie special in a very weird way.
Monet X Change
Ginger is a brilliant actress.
Bob the Drag Queen
So Ginger and juju shout out to you. Brooklyn Heights, we caught you union busting. You're going down. Never work in this town again.
Adam Shankman
At Martian Simone are really, really funny. And Latrice, here's the thing you want
Bob the Drag Queen
to think nice about Monet before we move on.
Adam Shankman
Wait, hold on. It's Latrice. It's Latrice Royale's universe.
Monet X Change
We're all just visiting those girls. Like, I was there for literally for 18 hours.
Adam Shankman
You got. You were not there for that long.
Bob the Drag Queen
Yeah, right, so they made you like, 18 hours.
Monet X Change
Did.
Adam Shankman
Did. Did we shoot that scene for two days? No, we went for one day, but,
Bob the Drag Queen
yeah, we only shot, like, 18 hours in one day.
Adam Shankman
No, we shot for. We probably shot for eight hours.
Monet X Change
I got there at. No, I got there. Yeah, we probably shot for, like, eight hours, but I got there, like, one, and I left there, like, one o'
Adam Shankman
clock in the morning. You have one of my favorite. You have one of my favorite lines in the movie.
Monet X Change
Which one?
Bob the Drag Queen
This one.
Monet X Change
Get them at him. Get him.
Adam Shankman
You're hilarious. Okay, so never coming back on this podcast. It's like. It's like. It's like Snowpiercer, but with no Feet.
Monet X Change
Yeah.
Adam Shankman
Which no one will understand until when we see the movie. But it'll make sense. I remember one. One of the. I gotta tell you something that's really, really crazy. Do you know who loves this movie, like, almost more than gays is straight people.
Monet X Change
I'm sure they will.
Adam Shankman
It's crazy. Like, people who have no clue about Drag Race come in and go, this shit is batshit fucking hilarious crazy. And that makes me feel like I did my job because that means it's bringing in, you know, an audience, you know, and that's really. To me, that was the only reason to pick to ask me to direct the movie is like, hey, can you expand into your sad? Like, you know, it's like, most of my fans are like, mom.
Monet X Change
Moms.
Adam Shankman
Like, you know, like, it's. It's.
Monet X Change
I've.
Adam Shankman
I've made a lot of soft movies, and I. You know, I don't want to do that forever. Please. But. But it's feel good. Is feel good, and I need to feel good right now. Like, I, you know, I. I got. Laughing right now is really, for me, the antidote, because I'm not laughing enough.
Bob the Drag Queen
Hang out with me. We're gonna laugh it up, you and I.
Adam Shankman
Wait.
Monet X Change
I cannot believe you did not pitch Adam the civil rivalry movie.
Bob the Drag Queen
I'm trying to get in through the mentorship program.
Monet X Change
We haven't seen our movies.
Adam Shankman
Like Harold and Kumar. Kind of a.
Bob the Drag Queen
No.
Monet X Change
We're playing two sisters. Our mother just died. I'm the rich bougie suit we started
Bob the Drag Queen
before my mom really died.
Adam Shankman
Yeah.
Monet X Change
And I'm playing the rich sister that I kind of left. Bob is playing the meek sister that stayed around to help mom, and we're fighting about her.
Adam Shankman
So this is about the expansion of the Drag Race universe. This is, like, things like that. I understand. Okay.
Monet X Change
And we're playing. And we want to do like. Like Eddie Murphy. We're playing multiple characters. I'm playing.
Bob the Drag Queen
We're.
Monet X Change
I'm playing six characters. He playing six characters?
Adam Shankman
Yes.
Monet X Change
I'm playing B. Did a mechanic there.
Adam Shankman
Yeah, there's. There's some White Chicks energy happening here, too. And so, by the way, kind of an unsung hero of a movie.
Bob the Drag Queen
What? White Chicks?
Adam Shankman
Yeah.
Bob the Drag Queen
White Chicks is a great movie. Maybe White Chicks is a banger.
Adam Shankman
It's a great.
Bob the Drag Queen
In black communities, maybe. Maybe they're not singing it where you from, but the black community. We love White Chicks.
Adam Shankman
White Chicks.
Monet X Change
Great film.
Bob the Drag Queen
We do have to wrap. Thank you. No, honestly, thank you so much for your time. I hope that my teasing is Is not at all. I love it.
Adam Shankman
Are you kidding, guys?
Bob the Drag Queen
Mon told me to make fun of
Adam Shankman
you before you got here. When they said way happier when I'm being making fun.
Bob the Drag Queen
When they say, give him a hard time.
Adam Shankman
Somebody say nice to me. I don't know what to say, but if somebody giving me I'm very happy.
Podcast Host
You were nice.
Bob the Drag Queen
You were kind of weird about it when I was.
Adam Shankman
I get weird about it. It's weird. It's like, yeah, thanks. I did my job.
Bob the Drag Queen
No. Adam G. Stop that Train in theaters this Friday.
Monet X Change
So yo later and thank you for coming on. Adam.
Adam Shankman
We. I just love you this. Actually, you guys, something that you should know. I also that one of the greatest thing that to me came out of the pandemic was I didn't have a gay community that was. That was strong in any way. And I started listening to podcasts, including Sibling, and I ended up ending it up feeling not so alone.
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh.
Adam Shankman
And I felt like I had friends. And you guys, like, became these friends in my home. And it really, really, really helped helped me. And I. And it became my gay community. And in many cases, I ended up, like, reaching out to people and saying, like, how would you be my friend?
Bob the Drag Queen
Oh, my God. Come to game night.
Monet X Change
Oh, my God.
Adam Shankman
I'm a game night killer.
Bob the Drag Queen
Okay. Oh, no.
Adam Shankman
We.
Bob the Drag Queen
We. We yell and fight.
Adam Shankman
That's fine.
Bob the Drag Queen
Bob is even worse than he is. Oh, I'm a monster.
Monet X Change
At game night.
Adam Shankman
I'd have us over for movie night. I would love that. I feel like you have a nice movie. I'd be happy.
Monet X Change
I'd love.
Bob the Drag Queen
But we have to pause when people talk. Like, the movies. You can't. When you watch movies at your house, you pause it. Talk.
Adam Shankman
Well, the big, big TV in my house is in my bedroom. Ooh.
Monet X Change
So I bring my pajamas.
Adam Shankman
The living room TV isn't quite as big.
Bob the Drag Queen
Well, I bring my pajamas, and let's just say I sleep in the nude. Adam.
Monet X Change
Adam, thank you so much for being here.
Adam Shankman
It was my pleasure.
Monet X Change
Y' all, please go check out the movie. Stop that train. Why you.
Bob the Drag Queen
When I wrap it up, you try to do talk.
Monet X Change
And then you wrap up your favorite girls already. Including myself, all of them.
Bob the Drag Queen
And ruin. It's a great movie. See this Friday in theaters.
Adam Shankman
You guys have got to stop that train.
Monet X Change
You can't reason with the sun. Trust us.
Adam Shankman
We've tried this summer.
Bob the Drag Queen
It's time to put that angry ball

of fire on mute. Columbia's Omnishade technology is engineered to protect
Bob the Drag Queen
you from the sun's harsh rays.
Adam Shankman
That can burn and damage your skin.
Monet X Change
The sun is relentless, but so is our gear. Level up your summer@columbia.com to spend more time outside and less time slathering on aloe lotion.
Bob the Drag Queen
You're welcome.
Monet X Change
Columbia engineered for whatever.
