Hey, what's going on guys? It's your host Mike Garvey with the side Hustle Squad podcast coming at you from the Branded Bull Studio here on a Tuesday. We are kicking off Connex. We are in Vegas currently, so keep up to speed with what we're doing. Between me, Naylor, Eric Triplett, John Pajak, Larry, we are all out and about staying at the first annual Pod House, really having a good time. So keep a lookout on Instagram with all the things that we're doing and stuff that we're doing out there. I'm gonna have some really good episodes coming through very shortly in the next week and yeah, gonna can't wait to report back on all that and you know, you'll hear from us live. Live there through Instagram but then also on the podcast upcoming. But I wanted to jump on and talk about, I not sure if I announced it. Coastal Fertilization is opening another branch. Obviously we're, you know, gearing up for that. It's gonna be very small baby steps, but it's very cool to look at it as through a le kind of recreating a business from scratch. We already kind of know where we went wrong here. We kind of have the playbook. We have a lot of things that are done and out of the way. But I think it's going to be cool to talk about all this stuff is, you know, coming up all over again eight years later from when we started out, started out Coastal fertilization of really Ocean County. So it's kind of, you know, how would you restart your business if you know, over in eight years you're getting comfortable protecting what you're built. But we're kind of doing the opposite. We're operating and launching a brand new Coastal Fertilization branch and I want to bring you guys inside the whole entire process. So you know, why, why are we starting another branch? Why now What? So basically we have another partner that we're going to partner with to be. To be the general manager and third partner of this branch. And there's a lot of demand there. I think there's not a lot of companies that are doing it. You know, we're, we're. Instead of just kind of more of the same, more of, you know, they don't have a lot of options there. So I think we're going to be growing, we're going to have a good structure in place. You know, there's a big difference between Mike garvey in year one, in 2017 versus year eight, Mike Garvey, you know, kind of steering the ship. So there's a lot of systems already in place. There's a lot of clarity on our numbers. We delegate a lot. We have a lot of partnerships. And I think I've grown a lot. I think Larry's grown a lot. You know, we talk about. For those of you. I do talk about Enneagram quite a bit. If you're friends with me, Eric Triplet turned me on to that. And if you haven't taken that at all, I highly suggest you take the Enneagram. It's a personality test and showing you what you are. And, and I know that I'm a type 3. I'm a builder and I'm an achiever and I have a mindset of really building infrastructure. Thinking of the next thing and kind of helps me understand of why I am who I am. So I certainly encourage you guys to do that. Kind of going off on a tangent on that. But anyway, so, you know, we choosing the right third partner make him, you know, we work together in the state police, which is great. We have a lot of the same values. We are aligned, we trust each other. And he reminds me a lot of Larry and, you know, doesn't sleep a lot. Works a lot really, you know, does a lot of. Works really hard and gets the vision and wants to learn. So can't really. Can't really wait for this to get started. We're going to start probably mid April. Bring Rob is the partner in this branch. We'll bring him down to, you know, train and do some stuff here at the Ocean county branch and then we'll let him do his thing. You know, 20 accounts would be great, really, honestly, for the year. I'm not looking to go crazy. You know, we. And really how it's going to work is that they. He gets a lot of our systems. He gets the branding, the support systems, a separate jobber everything will be separate. So Jobber will be in franchise mode. So we have a different Jobber for each branch, which you can really toggle between, which is pretty cool. So separate llc, separate ownership allotments and stuff like that. And then we're going to look at different things. We're going to look at the startup cost, the marketing budget, the marketing strategy, how to be launching in a new county, what's the best thing to do? It can we do door hangers? Can we do. Should we do in digital ads? You know, can we leverage referrals from our current customers? So really, we're just starting from. From day one, eight years later. But I think we can look at some definite mistakes that we can avoid from the first time. But let's take a quick break here from the show sponsors and we'll come right back. Hey, guys.

I'm talking about this exciting time, really just kind of building a brand new business eight years later, kind of the same business in a different location. And it's going to be a lot of fun going through this with you guys, sharing my experiences and really just starting over. But we want to. I think it's going to. We're going to learn from our mistakes, right? We're going to learn from the underpricing that we did in the very beginning of our first coastal fertilization. Significantly underpricing, significantly overworking ourselves. I mean, we were underpricing just to get jobs and they were kind of all over the place, not necessarily in one location. We were wasting a lot of time driving around and we talk about that all the time. We didn't have Jobber. We didn't have. We were overworking ourselves. We weren't delegating. We didn't have a phone system. We didn't have a administrative assistant and we waited long to hire and we weren't tracking our numbers. So all this is going to be so a lot different I think, you know, making our technicians better, making everybody better and, and what they have to do. And you know, as were, my role has changed over the years from technician and owner to, you know, still going out. But you know, then admin and we got able, we were able to delegate more of this stuff. And you know, we're starting from scratch again. We're going to have to hire, you know, finally hire someone once Rob can't take it all on anymore. But again, we're going to be creating SOPs, creating a culture here, a statewide culture. This isn't the only branch that we're going to do and this is going to be the pilot of the, the, the rollout of launching new branches. So I think, you know, the first time we built, we were just figuring it out. This time we're building it on purpose. And you know, if you're listening right now, whether you're just starting out in your first business or scaling your third, I want to see what this actually looks like. I want you to see what this actually looks like behind the curtain. It's not just the highlight reel. You're going to see real struggles. You're going to see how a business is built all over again and also how our other business is, is growing. So not a super long one here. I got a lot of content that I'm doing out in Vegas. But let's talk about again, let's talk about building another business. You're gonna see it and you're gonna see it in real time. So I'm excited to go on this journey with you. Stay tuned, keep out, keep out. Looking for all the content that's coming out on Instagram with us at Equip. We're putting together, I mean, I'm sorry, at Connex we're gonna really put together some good stuff with Pod House number one. So stay tuned for that. Looking forward to seeing some of you guys out there, but also getting some really good content, really good episodes, doing a deep dive into other people's businesses and having some really good conversations out at Pot House. So stay tuned for all that. We got a lot coming up and thanks for listening.
