Hey, what's going on guys? It's your host, Mike Garvey with the side Hustle Squad podcast coming at you from the Branded Bull Studio here. On a Tuesday, the weather finally broke here in New Jersey. It is, it was super hot. I mean we're talking like August hot. And, and now we had some weather come through last night, broke the weather, it's 67, it's beautiful. Good for Andrew, our technician. He's right in the middle of app 3 of fertile or I'm sorry, of mosquito and tick control. And now he is finishing that up today. Now we're moving into round three of fertilizer so we don't have these super hot temps. Hopefully have a pretty good week and, and get some, get some more stuff done. On the travel front, we have Nailers event coming up in Richmond June 25th, 26th and really looking forward to that. Going to be driving out there like a five hour drive and it should be great. Really looking forward to being with triplet pay Jack Nailer Cornell and getting around, getting a recharge, getting, learning some stuff, looking at some ways to things that I could bring back and share and elaborate on. But if you can make it there, if you're in that area, I mean it's a two for one ticket right now. Bring a fellow coworker, bring another contractor, business owner and get to those live events because there's nothing like it. Even just the smallest event or the biggest event. It serves as a collaboration, a recharge. And it's just there's something, I come back with it and if I come back away with one, one thing that can change my whole entire business just by talking to somebody and having a conversation and having a drink with them and whatever, hanging out and just solving a problem. Equip, make sure you get your tickets for Equip. That's going to be here before we know it. We're already in the middle. We're June 15th. It's wild that we're here in the summer schools. Let now things are, you know, before we know it, boom, it's going to be September, right. And it's, it just went into our aeration and overseeding. So make sure you, you're planning your schedule. We're going to be at the lawn and landscape tech conference also too. We're having pod house there. Myself, paycheck, Naylor, Cornell triplet will all be at one location out in Scottsdale. I believe that's July 22nd to 24th. So if you're out that way you can stop by. That's going to be more technology based. A lot of crests will be out there and we're going to be looking at all that stuff. It's you know, on, on the rope front we just got our trailer back fully wrapped. We built out the inside a couple toolboxes for displays for equipment and it just, it's awesome. I can't wait to push that ball down the field. You know I'm actually, I'm on my DJI mics right now so I'm, I'm, I'm, I clip one up and I'm riding out to a install for a robotic mower and kind of getting that whole rhythm down as to okay, how many installs can we do a day? And you know, looking at perspective buyers and homeowners and business owners and landscapers and colleges and we have all this going on and I have a great team around me helping with that. Some people that I can't wait to introduce you to friends and stuff that are jumping on board because they see the vision of, of roped and the model of having a mobile showroom to bring to your location to bring to your business to show the people that are going to be using the tools how they can benefit from downtime and not having to deal with gas and mix and carburetors and fuel filters and all these problems that now we can solve with popping a battery off and on and there's not much to it and we're still getting the same, the same benefit. Really looking forward to growing that now that again the spring rush is over. We're kind of no, no couple little leads here and there but you know, we, we're all set with what we're doing. So now it's again I've talked on the prior episode time to start planning our attack for our marketing campaign for coastal, for our aerations and overseedings and getting that all squared away. It's going to be a multi phase marketing plan between digital. A lot of even now that we have our shop is getting there so you know it's going to be a multi multi have a sign out on our main road digital, you know, Facebook, Instagram plus then just crushing going to our crushing emails out to our current customer base about how the benefits are so healthy for your lawn and all of that. How you should be doing it every year and how it should be something that's regular maintenance just like you do your yearly things. It should be go hand in hand on the our new branch front Coastal North Coastal fertilization of North Jersey Doing great. Nice and small. Contains roughly like 10 accounts. Nothing crazy getting our feet under us. It's really our truck is up there now. It's all set up. Rob who's running everything up there. It's, it's great. Everything's up there now I go up and help help out. We do our thing. We got a couple of leads coming in on different things and the goal was never to go full bore go. You know, let's get our feet under us, let's get our systems in place, let's get our, our little pockets, our routes, everything like that. And like with anything else it's when we added to our main branch to coastal, whatever Ocean county or you know when we, when we expanded into Mosquito and tick control we started really small 10 accounts. All we wanted was 10 accounts. And then all we wanted to do is just go from there and for the season and pilot it and figure out what we're doing, how we're doing it. Is this working? Is the product we're using working? Are people happy with it? Are making sure we know what we're doing before we offer it to the masses. And that's kind of the same model that we're taking with opening a new branch is okay, let's figure out where we are, you know, what pockets we want to be in, what developments we want to target. Who the competition is. I don't even know like who's around and figuring that out and not as a competitive thing but just say okay, how many, how many businesses are even up there in this different whole part of New Jersey? And are they offering aeration, seating, are they offering mosquito? Are they offering weed control in the beds? What gives us the advantage over another company to go with us? Is it easy? Is our communication better? Is our using jobber? Is it what is what is the benefit to go to switch companies or to go with us, and we want to have a great customer experience. That's easy.

I know I'm kind of jumping all over the place, but this is just some things going on in my mind as to where we're at on a couple different fronts, a couple different endeavors. You know, gotta get back to. Can't wait next week to get to Richmond, be around my guys. It's always like a family reunion with Triplett Pay Jack Cornell Mailer. And I'm learning. I'm there to learn. I'm there to not only learn from coastal or coastal of North Jersey, but to apply these concepts to roped and really just kind of to learn and grow and push these businesses down, push the ball down the field on these businesses and grow every week just a little bit and kind of get to a point where it's. We're growing every single week on something on some sort of theme that we want to pick. Like last week it was really getting the trailer done and let's get it. Let's get it upfitted and let's. Now we can bring it places. It was tough with the spring rush kind of doing all the same, doing all the. Having all these different things come. I. I got a full Voyager Crest Voyager in our garage at our shop. That's Unbox. But we got to get that up and running and we have to get that out there and we have to get that going. So that's another thing that I want to get done, to reach out to new people, new leads with the robotics and the battery and then also start demoing this Voyager. So a lot of things to think about, a lot of things going on. And I'm looking forward to again this live event with. With Naylor, learning about some time management stuff that I'm really looking forward to. I can't. Am I. You know, I think I have pretty good time management, but sometimes schedules in a day. Go, go Awry with things that come up. So I think he, he is a,
a
good person to you know, learn from as to his, his time management. He's got a lot of things going on between all of his social media stuff and courses and all that and then also running his business and he doesn't, he does what's comfortable for him which is awesome. So. So yeah, so that's the update on almost everything going on in with, with all this stuff. So with the live events with roped with coastal of North Jersey and yeah, just can't wait to get some really good episodes with all the guys out in Richmond. It's gonna be. Can't wait to talk with them and really see what the updates are with them and learn from them. So make sure you're planning on something, go to something. If it's not this or not something, plan on one thing, get around some like minded people and learn because you take one thing away. I always come out recharged. This, this journey of being an entrepreneur could get lonely. Luckily I have a partner, but some people don't, many people don't. And you could find yourself kind of feeling like you're on an island if you don't have a team around you. I think getting to these, these events, talking with people, solving problems, growing, coming back, revisiting the notebooks that you of the notes you took and are you hitting on those goals that you set or did you just say, you know what, I came back charged up for a week and then it died. So I encourage you to further your education, further your knowledge and, and come back away with one thing. That's all I got. I hope everyone has a good couple days. We'll catch up on Thursday. Got some interesting things coming down the line as far as the podcast, having so much fun with it again, man, if you tell me I'd be close to 340 episodes, three years sharing my thoughts and hopefully you guys get something out of this.
