In order to get everyone in the Halloween spirit the Slurp N Chirp crew decided to take things to a spooky level and review the 2011 sci-fi thriller, The Thing, directed by Matthiijs van Heijningen Jr. Often mistaken for a reboot of the 1982 John Carpenter film, this version is actually a prequel that focuses on the Norwegian base that originally discover the Thing's frozen carcass and the chaos that ensues. This new film revolves around the titular team infiltrating the island of Corto Maltese with orders to destroy all information on a project known only as Project Starfish. With death around every corner does Task force X have what it takes to complete the mission and make it back safely? Beware, many spoilers ahead!
