You may know him as the King of Rock and Roll, but what many don’t know is that Elvis Presley supposedly had a deep connection with the supernatural. From astral projection to telekinesis and several encounters with UFOs, Elvis was said to have mystical powers that only those closest to him knew about.

When I say the words one of the biggest male pop stars of all time, who comes to mind? I'm not talking about Justin Bieber or Harry Styles. I really do mean of all time. So think even further back in history. Imagine perfectly coiffed hair, a white jumpsuit, hips thrusting as young women faint in the audience. That's right. Now you know I'm talking about the king of rock and roll, Mr. Elvis Presley. And look, I was a little too young to have posters of the King hanging in my bedroom or locker at school, but I can't appreciate him all the same. I mean, the Guy sort of changed the landscape of music entirely. But that's not why I find Elvis Presley so interesting. I recently discovered that there is a side of Elvis that very few people talk about. One that was into mysticism and the occult, who tried to become a natural healer and had an encounter with a ufo, who may have even had telekinetic powers and practiced the art of astral projection. Which is why Elvis might have been a lot more than a pop star. He might have been an advanced form of the human species. And today we're going to try to get to the bottom of it on another episode of so Supernatur.
Rasha Pecorero
Welcome back to so Supernatural. I'm Rasha Pecorero.
Yvette Gentile
And I'm Yvette Gentile. And today we're looking at the mysterious side of one of the biggest, biggest, and I'm talking the biggest, baddest rock star of all time. Elvis Presley. And you guys may know him as the king of rock and roll, but some people think that he's much more than a celebrity or a musical superstar. He may have had supernatural powers. And I just have to say that I am the biggest Elvis fan ever.
Rasha Pecorero
Okay, tell me why you're the biggest Elvis fan ever.
Yvette Gentile
Well, I fell in love with him probably in fourth grade. And I was just. I was obsessed with him. I mean, obviously he was so beautiful, but there was just something so magnetic about him. His music, his songs, his energy. I mean, what about you, Raj?
Rasha Pecorero
I've always been an Elvis fan, but really, I think it's because of Elvis's special connection to where we're from. Elvis actually helped build the memorial at USS Arizona at Pearl harbor in Hawaii. He held a benefit concert for the completion of it. And I thought that was always so magical because he didn't even really want to take credit for it. He just thought it was the right thing to do.
Yvette Gentile
The thing about Elvis, he was so generous. He was generous, you know, with his time, with his money, to his friends, to his family, to the community. And like you said, he had a special connection to Hawaii.
Rasha Pecorero
He sure did. It's almost impossible to overstate just how famous Elvis was in his lifetime. To this day, he still holds the title for more physical records sold than any other artist of all time. He charted no fewer than 114 times. And even as he became the first true rock star, Elvis pivoted from music to film, starring in 31 different movies in his lifetime. And when you're that recognizable, talented, and so incredibly rich, you start to feel larger than life. Almost like you're not really human anymore. And according to an author and podcaster named Miguel Connor, Elvis wasn't really human either.
Yvette Gentile
But before we get into Miguel's theories about Elvis, we should talk about Miguel himself, because he is our kind of guy. He is very into the supernatural. However, Miguel takes his interest a step further. He likes experimenting with ayahuasca, a drug that's said to trigger visions and spiritual breakthroughs. And Miguel loves exploring different religious ideas. One thing he wasn't really into, and I don't know why, was Elvis. Up until 2022, he wasn't much of a fan at all. But during one of his ayahuasca trips that year, Miguel felt his mind opening up to new possibilities. As his thoughts began to wander from one thing to another, he. He began thinking about music and eventually the King of Rock and Roll himself. And that's when he wondered if Elvis was more than just a celebrity. Maybe he was a spiritual being with magical powers. After sobering up and diving into Elvis's backstory, Miguel learned there was actual evidence out there to support that idea. He read interviews from Elvis and the people who knew him, and he compared those interviews to the things he already knew about different religions and spiritual traditions. And he realized how much evidence there was to support the fact that Elvis had another side to him. One that people hardly knew about. One with supernatural origins.
Rasha Pecorero
According to Miguel, it started from the very first day that Elvis entered this earth. Early on the morning of January 8, 1935, Elvis's mother Gladys was in labor. It was in the middle of the night, roughly about 2am and Gladys and her husband Vernon were both, of course, like any new parents, excited and terrified. They called their doctor to come to their tiny two room house in Tupelo, Mississippi. Once the doctor got there, Vernon stepped outside to calm his nerves and he started smoking a cigarette. But while he was alone in the front yard, he saw a strange light in the sky. It was very bright and blue. And to make matters even stranger, the light ends up flying over to the house and then hovers above it. Vernon knows this thing isn't a plane, and helicopters haven't even been invented yet.
Yvette Gentile
So it couldn't have been that.
Rasha Pecorero
So Vernon is sure it's some sort of sign or an omen that his soon to be born son will be very special. About two hours later, Jesse Presley is born. And if you're like, who the heck is Jesse? Well, Elvis had a twin brother, but tragically, Jesse is stillborn and his mother doesn't even really get a Chance to grieve in that moment. Because she's in labor for another 30 minutes or so while her next son comes into the world. She ends up naming him Elvis Aaron Presley. While of course, it's heartbreaking to think Elvis never actually got to meet his twin brother, Jesse does seem to play a huge role in Elvis's life. Elvis says he feels some kind of spiritual bond with Jesse, even though he's not physically here. Almost like a piece of himself is missing. So when Elvis is about four or five years old, something changes for him. Elvis tells his parents he doesn't miss Jesse anymore. He tells them it's because he realizes Jesse isn't actually gone. He says he hears a voice in his head sometimes and he knows that it's his brother's spirit talking to him.
Yvette Gentile
Now, you might hear that and think, okay, kids have wild imaginations and he's just, you know, making this up. But in fact, that's exactly what Elvis's parents think, probably because Elvis is always making claims that are really out there, even for a kid. And at one point he even says that he notices his consciousness traveling outside of his body, or what's better known as, and we've talked about this before, astral projection. Each time he says this to his parents, his mom and dad, they just kind of shrug it off. But this isn't a phase or something that he grows out of. This goes on even into adulthood. Elvis insists that Jesse is with him, that he is actually communicating with him. And he even gives his brother a nickname. He calls him his original bodyguard. And I just have to add here that, you know, when you think about twins, right, they're so incredibly close. So to lose a twin at birth, there has to be this, this trauma that happens, right?
Rasha Pecorero
Absolutely.
Yvette Gentile
And this never ending bond that is going to be with him for the rest of his life.
Rasha Pecorero
Yeah, I couldn't agree more. And on top of that, Elvis suffers from these weird nightmares that started in his childhood, probably from that trauma you just talked about, Yvette. And at one point, and I don't know when exactly this happens or how old Elvis is, but I know he has a dream about Jesse. And during the dream he has this intense impulse to get out of bed and go outside. And when he finally wakes up, Elvis does find himself outside in his underwear. He's actually been sleepwalking.
Yvette Gentile
And the same thing happens again when he's a teenager while he's dreaming about Jesse, he gets out of his bed, walks out of his family's apartment, down the building stairs, all the way outside. And then when he wakes up, he's in the middle of the street.
Rasha Pecorero
So based on those stories, author Miguel Connor comes up with a theory. He says that after Jesse died, he became a demon. And the demon that we're talking about here is spelled D A E M O N. And the concept of this demon is a bit different from the demons we've gotten familiar with on this show.
Yvette Gentile
Yeah, that's right. Miguel believes demons are more like spirit guides. Wise, otherworldly entities that nudge people toward enlightenment. And lots of people perceive demons like this throughout history, dating all the way back to ancient Greece. But Elvis probably didn't see it this same way. To him, Jesse might have been more like. And this is what I would be thinking, like a guardian angel. Because Elvis grew up in a very conservative Christian household.
Rasha Pecorero
His parents made sure he was in church every single Sunday, praying before every single meal, and they made sure he was always reading the Bible. And honestly, it seems like Elvis sort of embraced religion in his life even at a very young age. So as the story goes, Elvis was nine years old. He prayed for Jesus to come into his heart. And after doing so, this wave of emotion just washed over him. And suddenly he felt like God was right there in the room with him, urging him to go out into the world and do some good. So after this happens, Elvis runs home and grabs his most prized possession, his entire comic book collection. And then he ends up walking up and down the street, spotting other kids and offering to give his precious comics away. Which for a nine year old, is honestly pretty selfless. And it probably leaves Elvis with this warm, amazing feeling at first. But a few days or weeks end up passing by and that sensation wears off. Elvis is right back to looking for a higher purpose in his life. And that's when he turns to the other religion in his life. Music.
Yvette Gentile
So Elvis's call to music actually began when he was just three years old. He was in church one day when everyone started singing those hymns. And if you're like me and were raised in the church, you know exactly what I'm talking about. And Elvis got really into it. Like, he started belting the words as loudly as he could. I mean, the kid was completely moved. And after this, it's like church is his favorite place in the world. So when he's a teenager, he even begins sneaking off to a segregated black church on Sunday nights because. Because why, y'? All? Because he likes their songs so much. And when he isn't in church, he's listening to gospel Music on the radio. On top of that, the local church hosts events called Sing Ins. They're exactly what they sound like, y'. All. Touring bands and singers throw these huge concerts where they play Christian music and everyone in the audience sings along and dances. And you gotta know that Elvis is loving this. And I bet you can imagine what happens next.
Rasha Pecorero
As a teenager, Elvis decides he wants to become a professional musician. The thing is, he's never formally studied singing or any musical instrument and he can't afford to take lessons as they didn't have enough money growing up to do all sorts of things. He also doesn't have any connections in the industry, so he ends up being entirely self taught. But through an incredible stroke of luck, his parents decide to move to Memphis, Tennessee around this time. Which just so happens to be the heart and soul of the gospel and rhythm and blues world. So Elvis takes a chance on himself. He saves up every single penny he has until he can afford to self record an audition. Then he sends the recording to a local production company called Sun Records. Now he knows this is a long shot because Sun Records has only ever signed black artists, not white singers like Elvis. But they have a track record of working with new, untrained and undiscovered talent. So in Elvis's mind, it's totally worth a try.
Yvette Gentile
And he is so right to think so, because one of their producers likes what he hears and he signs Elvis to a recording contract just like that. In 1954, 19 year old Elvis releases his first record and he gets his first hit. And it's called that's All Right Mama. And before you know it, he is a huge, I'm talking, huge rock and roll star. And all of his dreams are starting to come true.
Rasha Pecorero
But sadly, in the summer of 1958, tragedy strikes. His beloved mother Gladys contracts hepatitis and on August 14th she dies of a heart attack. She was only 46 years old. And I can only imagine what Elvis was going through, losing his mother like that. Because everything I've seen about their relationship reminds me so much of our relationship with our mom. It was like his compass, his moral compass, his soulmate, his everything left this world. I can completely understand that.
Yvette Gentile
Yeah, like his North Star, right? And now that she's gone and so Suddenly, without warning, 23 year old Elvis feels completely and utterly lost. And we know that feeling oh so well, Raj. And so do so many people. And the thing is, no matter how famous he is, there's nothing, there's nothing that can fill that void for him. And night after night, he just, he reads his Bible, hoping that he'll find a passage that gives him some type of comfort and peace, except it just keeps leaving him cold. He's not finding the answers, you know? And then in the fall of 1958, Elvis turns to a new book. He thinks, okay, you know what if the Bible isn't working anymore, something else has got to do the trick. So Elvis starts reading the Prophet by Khalil Gibran.
Rasha Pecorero
It's a book of poetry, but every poem explores these big important ideas like love, joy, sorrow, or religion. It draws heavily on themes from the Baha' I faith and mystics from many traditions, including Islamic Sufism, European Romantics, and American Transcendentalism. In fact, the author says he got the idea for the book after he met a spiritual leader, which was followed by a prophetic dream later that night. There's one thing in this book, though, that Elvis really clings to the idea that a person can recover from pain and move on with their life by connecting to a higher power.
Yvette Gentile
The book also claims you don't need to sit in church or talk to a priest to meet that power. You can find God in everything.
Rasha Pecorero
When Elvis ends up reading this, he realizes it's time to start looking outside of Christianity for his higher purpose. And that's when he begins learning about reincarnation and different mystical traditions.
Yvette Gentile
Meanwhile, Elvis is on another path of ascension, one of unparalleled fame. By 1964, 29 year old Elvis is starring in movies, and we're talking dozens of them. And like many celebs, he has his one and only go to hairstylist on set with him. And this guy's name is Larry Geller. Larry is also really fascinated with New Age spirituality. And when he's not at work, he's reading books about life after death and secret societies. And he also likes dabbling in magic. So when he finally opens up to Elvis about these interests, it's a game changer for the pop star. He wants to learn everything Larry knows and then some. And for a time, Larry becomes sort of a teacher for Elvis. He debates with him, he travels with him, and he educates him on everything to do with magic and mysticism. And according to Miguel Connor, he helps Elvis achieve one dream he wasn't sure was possible, and that is becoming an enlightened mystical being.

Quince.com supernatural Elvis meets Larry Geller in 1964 and almost immediately, Larry becomes sort of like a spiritual guru to Elvis. At one point, Elvis tells him that he's read a book about Kriya Yoga, a meditation technique that uses yoga to help achieve spiritual enlightenment. As soon as Elvis brings this up, Larry is like, hey, guess what? I have already studied Kriya Yoga. I am an expert at it, and I can invite you to a secret society that will teach you how to do it too. I'm paraphrasing, but you get the idea. That's exactly what Larry does. He travels with Elvis to Los Angeles, where he joins a group called the Self Realization Fellowship. So, side note, Yvette and I know a whole lot about the Self Realization Fellowship. It's located in Pacific Palisades, California. It's sadly currently under renovations from all the fires that happened in Malibu and the surrounding areas, but we went there several times with our mom and it was founded by PETA Mahansa Yogananda. It's a very, very special place.
Yvette Gentile
Yeah, it's. It's a sanctuary. I remember going there many days when I was living in la. Amongst all the craziness that happens in la. And it's just a place that you could walk around this beautiful lake and there are these little spots where you could sit and meditate and it was the most peaceful place in all of Los Angeles. And you wouldn't even know it was there unless somebody told you it was really a special destination.
Rasha Pecorero
Needless to say, Elvis ends up going to the Self Realization Fellowship and meets a bunch of yogis who teach him their secrets. And he becomes a full fledged practitioner.
Yvette Gentile
And Elvis even opens up to Larry about his brother and his story of nightmares and sleepwalking. And Larry tells Elvis the same thing. Miguel Connor would later conclude that this might be the demon of his twin brother Jesse trying to guide him in his sleep. However, this is the first time Elvis has thought of it in this way. And it's a pretty big aha moment for him because Elvis always felt like his brother was watching over him. And this revelation confirms everything, like everything that he has always felt and suspected.
Rasha Pecorero
But there is more to it than that. Larry tells Elvis that he needs to follow his spirit guide, meaning he needs to learn how to listen to Jesse and interpret exactly what Jesse is trying to say. If he does that, he'll become an enlightened being, or as Miguel calls it, egregore. I don't know if Elvis or Larry ever used that word themselves. But according to Miguel, an egregore is a human being with godlike powers, one that can perform incredible feats. This can include things like mind control, the ability to make people change the way they think just by willing it so. They can also heal people, banish evil spirits, and even talk to the dead. And they always have a specific goal. Egregores exist to change society and the world. They're supposed to use their mind control abilities to reshape people's values for the better.
Yvette Gentile
Well, interestingly enough, egregores also gain power from being adored and worshipped, which means in order to do their work, they basically have to be famous. And the more attention they gain, the greater their ability to do magic and to reach the public, changing the way people think and feel. And in Miguel's book, he actually says that every single time Elvis steps on stage, he gets a spiritual charge from the screaming, clapping fans. You know, they're just, I mean, they're dancing, they're shouting, they're doing all the stuff and Then he can decide how best to put his abilities to work. I said it earlier. He has this magnetic energy. So this. This is all, like, starting to make sense, you know, the more that we tell this story.
Rasha Pecorero
No, it totally is. And I can see how Elvis would get that spiritual charge, because you and I have both been on stage in different capacities, and you get that natural high.
Yvette Gentile
Yes, yes. You feed off the electricity from the fans.
Rasha Pecorero
But the problem is Elvis doesn't know what his mission is supposed to be yet. He wants to change the world. He just doesn't know how. So in the meantime, he just needs to learn to control his powers. We mentioned earlier that Elvis claimed he used to astral project when he was younger. He told his parents about it, of course, but we don't know exactly how often it happened. But during the course of his spiritual journey, Elvis begins exploring this ability again. He even tries to teach other people how to astral project. Apparently, at one point, he tells his then girlfriend, June Wanaco, that if she looks at the moon and completely relaxes, she'll be able to leave her body. She can just let go of any pain and suffering and connect with. With the divine.
Yvette Gentile
So get this another time. He invites a friend named George Klein over to his Graceland estate in Memphis. Unfortunately, I don't know the exact date of this visit, but they were out walking on a pathway that's surrounded by trees and bushes. And that's when Elvis says something to George. He says, hey, look at that bush, George. And as George is watching Elvis. And this is documented, you guys. Elvis holds his hand over the shrub. He's not touching it. And there's a definite gap between his palm and the branches. And yet the plants start shaking. It's like Elvis is physically moving it with his mind, so it seems like he's using telekinesis. Then Elvis points at a cloud in the sky. He makes some kind of hand gesture, and the clouds actually zip out of sight. It's moving way faster than any cloud should, even on a windy day.
Rasha Pecorero
Shockingly, this isn't the only account of something like this happening with Elvis. Again, we don't know the date of this story, but apparently Elvis ends up inviting two friends over to play racquetball at his home one afternoon. Elvis has his own personal court at Graceland, but it's outdoors. Unfortunately, by the time his friends arrive, the skies are cloudy and it's starting to rain. Like a big Memphis storm is rolling in. But Elvis tells his friends, hey, that's not a problem. I'll Take care of it. Then he walks out onto the court, waves his hands up at the sky, and the storm clouds disappear. The rain actually stops in an instant. Then Elvis turns to his friends and says, see? I told you so. Elvis is using his abilities, but kind of mostly to show off. He's not sure what greater purpose he's supposed to serve.
Yvette Gentile
Not until one fateful day when he's visiting Arizona with Larry, his hairdresser, and three bodyguards. They're driving down historic Route 66, passing by a mountain range that's said to be sacred to the Hopi people. Elvis is in the driver's seat while Larry is riding shotgun. Elvis is just, you know, he's watching the mountains pass, watching the clouds shift in the sky, sort of just zoning out, enjoying the ride. Elvis has a vision. And he says that he sees. Get this. He says he sees the face of Stalin appearing in the clouds, like the Joseph Stalin, the former leader of the Soviet Union. It is so powerful that Elvis literally slams on the brakes. Then he asks Larry if he is seeing the same thing, and Larry confirms he's having the exact same vision. At first, Elvis finds this image completely disturbing, like he thinks God is looking down on him and implying that there is evil inside him. Given that it's currently the height of the Cold War, Stalin, even though he's dead at this point, is still one of the most hated people in the United States. And look, y', all, I'm going to tell you what we found while researching this episode, but just bear with me, because it's kind of weird. The vision is so disturbing that Elvis and Larry pull over and they run into the desert. And there, Elvis has this mystical experience. He hugs Larry and expresses love and gratitude for his teachings. And then Elvis says if Stalin is what his fame really represents, then he wants Larry to kill him. But then something even stranger happens. Elvis sees Stalin's face warp and turn into someone else. The face of Jesus Christ. And in that moment, he realizes it would be wrong for him to die. He also realizes that he feels Jesus presence within him, and it's very powerful.
Rasha Pecorero
After Elvis sees this vision, he becomes convinced that he knows what's missing in life. He needs to use his musical talents to help spread God's message of peace and love throughout the world. In other words, this is his destiny as an egregore.
Yvette Gentile
But by the time Elvis learns about his fate, it's almost too late. See, he's been using sleeping pills since the 1960s and a wide variety of other drugs, including opiates. And Quaaludes. Years of sleepwalking and nightmares had been catching up with him and he felt he needed the drugs to sleep through the night. But he had no idea how addictive they were. By the time Elvis sees how dangerous they really are, he's too dependent on them to quit cold turkey. And when he's high on the pills he makes, I mean, he makes incredibly bad decisions like cheating on his wife.
Rasha Pecorero
Plus, by this time, Elvis is no longer on the road to enlightenment. Instead he spirals into addiction. His health deteriorates and sadly, so does his mental state. On some level he seems to know that he's not making good choices and, and he's going to pay a price for it. In fact, on the evening of August 14, 1977, which is also the anniversary of his beloved mother Gladys's death, 42 year old Elvis is talking to his stepbrother, David Stanley. David can tell that Elvis seems kind of distracted and just sort of out of it. So he asks Elvis what's on his mind. Elvis says these words to him, quote, I just wanted you to know that when you see me next, I'll be on a higher plane. End quote. Now David is a conservative Christian. He doesn't believe in other planes. So he makes some dismissive comment. But Elvis won't let this idea go. He insists that he and David will not see each other again, at least not on this earth. And sure enough, Elvis dies two days later on August 16, 1977. He's only 42 years old and his death is sudden. A heart attack. With his passing, Elvis's prediction comes true because that was the last time he ever saw David in this lifetime.
Yvette Gentile
Now Miguel points to this as more evidence that Elvis had these supernatural abilities. But I will say that Elvis's health had been on the decline for a while. In addition to his history of drug abuse, Elvis also had untreated diabetes. He was sick all of the time. You know, you could see in photographs of him towards the end of his life that he wasn't well.
Rasha Pecorero
Yeah, he didn't look good.
Yvette Gentile
Yeah, he didn't look well. Meaning he didn't need mystical powers to know that he didn't have much time left.
Rasha Pecorero
But Miguel wasn't the only person to say that Elvis had mystical beliefs and powers. In fact, Elvis's interest in the occult is pretty well documented. According to his wife Priscilla, Elvis really believed he could heal people just by touching them. Priscilla wrote in her autobiography that she used to suffer from these really severe headaches, but each time she told Elvis that her head hurt. He would put his hands on the side of her head with his fingers right at her temples. He would tell Priscilla that she was going to feel better. And wouldn't you know it, Just like magic she did. The pain always disappeared in an instant. Something similar happened in 1966. 31 year old Elvis was on set in Hawaii shooting a movie called Paradise. I'll let you style. Of course it's hot and humid and his co star Julie Parrish hasn't been drinking very much water. So after a long, incredibly hot and exhausting day on set, Julie ends up swaying and stumbling like she's having a hard time keeping her balance. Elvis of course asks if she's okay and Julie sort of dismisses him. But then she starts feeling lightheaded again. And the next thing she knows, Elvis literally is picking her up and carrying her to his dressing room. There he lays her down on the bed. Then he stands with his arms extended over her, hovering over her body. When Julie asks him what's going on, he says he's trying to heal her. Now Julie doesn't believe in faith healing, but she admits that his super soon as it's over, she does feel better.
Yvette Gentile
Whether it's a placebo effect, a little bit of air conditioning or Elvis's natural healing abilities. I mean we might never know for sure. But I can tell you one thing. Elvis himself didn't believe that his abilities were anything godlike. While it's true that Elvis studied a lot of New age religions, he always identified as Christian. Throughout his life. Elvis was always careful that his talent and his fame never, never overshadowed God's glory. He hated when people called him the King because in his mind there was only one King and that was Jesus. He may have been interested in dabbling in magic, but he probably didn't want to become a God or an egregore himself.
Rasha Pecorero
That's an incredibly good point. Elvis was very rooted in his Christianity. But Elvis's abilities must have come from some higher power, right? Which is why I find this next theory really interesting. That Elvis Presley had some sort of spiritual connection to aliens.

Most people dream of meeting their idols, but Wanda June Hill just wasn't one of them. At least not at first. In the 1960s, she was very disinterested in celebrity culture. She was too busy being a married mother of one, and she was a strict Pentecostal. But she lived in the southern suburbs of Los Angeles, so it was almost impossible not to run into a celebrity at some point, which is what happened one day in 1962.
Yvette Gentile
So Wanda was at a laundromat with her daughter, who started playing with a boy there, and eventually Wanda introduced herself to the boy's mother just to learn she was actually a film actress. She and the actress became friends, and the actress introduced Wanda to another movie star who she was friendly with. And guess who that was? Elvis Presley.
Rasha Pecorero
Now, of course, Wanda wasn't the sort of person to get starstruck, especially not over Elvis. She'd never been a fan of his music, but she knew her husband liked him. Still, as time went on, Wanda and Elvis got to know one another. Wanda enjoyed Elvis's company, and he liked talking to her. But one day, while Wanda and Elvis were chatting, he made a very strange comment to her, one that she never forgot. He told her he wasn't actually an earthling. Instead, he said he was originally from the ninth moon of Jupiter. It was almost like a record scratch. The conversation, of course, stopped immediately. Wanda had no idea how she was supposed to reply to that. But as she considered what to say next, she noticed something really odd. Elvis's skin was glowing with a strange blue light.
Yvette Gentile
Which might explain why his father saw that strange light in the sky before he was born. And it was Worth noting, that wasn't the only time that aliens reportedly visited Elvis. Apparently, when he was actually eight years old, he woke up one morning and ran to his parents. He announced that there were two strange beings that had visited him the night before. In his dreams. He claimed the aliens were trying to communicate with him, and they showed him a vision, one of a man in a white suit standing on stage, singing and dancing. He didn't know the significance of the imagery at the time, but years went by and he realized that what he actually saw was a vision of his own future.
Rasha Pecorero
Yeah, I think we all have seen Elvis in that white jumpsuit, glowing on stage. Anyway, at one point, Elvis even tells his quote unquote guru, Larry about this prophecy he had. And Larry says that spiritually enlightened people tend to see aliens and UFOs all the time. The fact that Elvis is living out this vision is a sign that he's on the right path. In fact, he says that if Elvis keeps learning magic, he'll eventually see even more aliens. And sure enough, Elvis goes on to have even more UFO sightings. One of them happened in 1966. Elvis never publicly spoke about it, but his friend Sunny did. It happened while Sunny was visiting Elvis at his mansion in Los Angeles. When they were outside on the porch one evening, the two saw a light pass overhead. It went by so quickly that Sunny didn't even get a good look at it. He had no idea what it was, but Elvis yelled out, it's a flying saucer. Then he told Sunny to go inside and grab some of the other house guests so that they could see the UFO before it went away. But when Sunny came back out a second or two later, Elvis was gone. Sunny stood there shouting Elvis's name, wondering if he had been abducted. Except then he heard Elvis's voice saying, I'm down here. Elvis was all the way down the block, standing in a neighbor's driveway two houses away. There's no way he could have made it in the one or two seconds that Sunny was gone. Sunny had no idea how he made it down there so fast. But afterwards, he made a joke to Elvis, saying, I thought they got you. But Elvis's reply to Sunny was kind of strange. He said, quote, they will come, but they won't hurt us. If they make contact, we can't be afraid because they are not going to hurt us. End quote.
Yvette Gentile
Well, this wasn't Elvis's last encounter with a flying saucer. I don't know the date for this next story, but. But apparently Elvis sees another UFO while driving through New Mexico on Route 66. For what it's worth, that's the same road he was on when he had that vision of Stalin turning into Jesus. Again, he's driving with some bodyguards and his friends, including his spiritual teacher, his hairdresser, Larry Geller. But this time they all see a bright light pass overhead and descend toward the ground like it's going to land. Then it flies to the right and just drifts away. Now, comets and meteors don't turn in mid air. We have talked about this many times, y' all on so Supernatural. But most of the people in the car still assume it was one of these two things. But Larry and Elvis have a very different idea. They definitely think it was an alien spaceship.
Rasha Pecorero
Elvis sees a UFO one more time before he dies. Or at least one more time that we know about. Again, the timing is unclear, but we know he's at home in Graceland with his father, Vernon. One night, a flying saucer appears in the sky and hovers over the house for about five full minutes. It's long enough for Vernon and Elvis to see that it's blue and entirely lit up. Visually, it sounds incredible. Some people say that this sighting is what inspires Vernon to open up and tell Elvis about the blue light in the sky on the night of his birth. To Elvis, it's probably just one more piece of evidence that he's had a special destiny all along.
Yvette Gentile
Whether it's aliens, gods, or some other innate ability that we all have the power to tap into, that is completely unclear. I can say one thing for sure. Elvis was more than a rock star or a Hollywood actor. He accomplished something that very few people do in their lifetime. He transcended pop culture and came to represent something much bigger than himself. I mean, y', all, we are here, here talking about him. And this is 50 years after his passing. How many celebrities have that kind of influence?
Rasha Pecorero
I can't think of many. And even if he never had superpowers, I think it's safe to say that Elvis wasn't an ordinary human being either. He was an icon. He was an idea. For many people, Elvis was a way of life.
Yvette Gentile
Yes, he truly transcended time.
Rasha Pecorero
And because of that and so much more, Elvis is truly immortal.

What does possibility mean to you?

That's a hard question. Something that you can strive for. I'm able to do anything I set my mind to. You're confident in yourself and you believe in yourself. Stuff that you could achieve. I feel it. So Supernatural Podcast Episode Summary: "MYSTICAL: Occult Elvis"
Release Date: July 11, 2025
Host/Author: audiochuck | Crime House
Podcast Description: Most mysteries can be solved by looking at the facts. But sometimes, the truth lies somewhere in the unknown… Enter the realm of true crime’s most bizarre occurrences, and unravel all the possible explanations. No matter how strange or surreal they get.
In the episode titled "MYSTICAL: Occult Elvis," hosts Rasha Pecorero and Yvette Gentile delve deep into the enigmatic life of Elvis Presley, exploring theories that suggest the King of Rock and Roll possessed supernatural abilities and mystical connections. Moving beyond his legendary status in music and film, the episode uncovers lesser-known facets of Elvis's life that hint at occult practices, spiritual enlightenment, and possible extraterrestrial influences.
The narrative begins with Elvis's birth on January 8, 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi. Rasha recounts a peculiar event witnessed by Elvis's father, Vernon Presley:
Rasha Pecorero [08:16]: "It was very bright and blue... Vernon knows this thing isn't a plane, and helicopters haven't even been invented yet."
This strange light observed before Elvis's birth sets the tone for a life intertwined with the mystical.
Elvis was born as a twin; his brother Jesse was stillborn. Despite Jesse's absence, Elvis felt a profound spiritual connection to him:
Yvette Gentile [10:36]: "Elvis says he feels some kind of spiritual bond with Jesse, even though he's not physically here."
From a young age, Elvis exhibited behaviors beyond typical childhood, such as claiming to hear Jesse's voice and experiencing astral projections.
A significant portion of the episode centers around theories proposed by author and podcaster Miguel Connor, who posits that Elvis was not just a celebrity but an egregore—a human being with godlike powers aimed at societal transformation.
Rasha Pecorero [26:43]: "An egregore is a human being with godlike powers, one that can perform incredible feats... They always have a specific goal."
Connor suggests that Elvis's fame and adoration by fans amplified his mystical abilities, allowing him to influence and reshape societal values.
Elvis's quest for higher purpose led him to explore various spiritual and mystical traditions. At nine years old, after praying to Jesus, he felt a divine presence urging him to perform good deeds. This experience, however, provided only temporary solace, pushing him to seek deeper spiritual connections through music.
By 1964, Elvis's collaboration with his hairdresser, Larry Geller, introduced him to New Age spirituality and secret societies like the Self Realization Fellowship. This mentorship played a crucial role in honing his mystical practices.
Yvette Gentile [25:24]: "Larry becomes sort of a teacher for Elvis... He helps Elvis achieve one dream he wasn't sure was possible, and that is becoming an enlightened mystical being."
Multiple accounts suggest that Elvis possessed abilities such as telekinesis and astral projection. These instances include:
Telekinesis:
Yvette Gentile [29:50]: "Elvis holds his hand over the shrub... and yet the plants start shaking."
Control Over Weather:
Rasha Pecorero [30:55]: "Elvis waves his hands up at the sky, and the storm clouds disappear."
These abilities were often seen as demonstrations rather than purposeful acts, indicating Elvis's struggle to understand his true mission.
Elvis's encounters with UFOs further cement the mystical narrative surrounding him. Notable incidents include:
1966 UFO Sighting:
Yvette Gentile [47:13]: "Elvis sees a UFO while driving through New Mexico on Route 66... Larry and Elvis have a very different idea. They definitely think it was an alien spaceship."
Final Encounter Before Death:
Yvette Gentile [48:13]: "One night, a flying saucer appears in the sky and hovers over the house for about five full minutes."
These sightings are interpreted as signs of Elvis's special destiny and his connection to otherworldly realms.
Despite his mystical pursuits, Elvis faced personal struggles that led to his tragic decline:
Addiction Issues: Elvis's reliance on sleeping pills and other drugs escalated, impacting his health and decision-making:
Yvette Gentile [34:36]: "By this time, Elvis is no longer on the road to enlightenment. Instead he spirals into addiction."
Final Conversation: On August 14, 1977, Elvis confided in his stepbrother David Stanley:
Rasha Pecorero [35:18]: "I just wanted you to know that when you see me next, I'll be on a higher plane."
Elvis passed away two days later, seemingly fulfilling his own prophecy of transcending to another realm.
The episode concludes by reflecting on Elvis's enduring impact:
Yvette Gentile [49:44]: "How many celebrities have that kind of influence? I can't think of many."
Whether viewed as a spiritual being, an egregore, or a cultural icon with unparalleled influence, Elvis Presley remains an immortal figure whose life continues to inspire and mystify.
