It's where career defining connections happen over coffee, where you suddenly form a cohesive strategy, and where you'll meet your next client, mentor or business partner. As attendee Shauna Allen put it perfectly, I've learned more that directly helps our bottom line at Social Media Marketing World than any other event I attend. From cutting edge AI applications to Instagram strategies that actually work in 2025, this is the experience marketers call life changing. Join us on March 30th in beautiful San Diego. Physical and virtual tickets are still available at social media marketing world.info hey there, it's Michael Stelzner coming to you with a special podcast episode. Today is Saturday, March 8, and like any normal Saturday, I had Saturday morning fun. Time to experiment. So I decided to go over to this website that somebody in my mastermind group recommended and start experimenting. And what you're about to hear for the first maybe minute or two, is just me talking to my computer. And then after that, you're going to hear an audio improvement. And just to kind of preview, I believe that what you are about to hear is the future. And I believe it so much that I reached out to my team and decided to publish a very special episode of this podcast. Because when I get inspired, I want other people to know what's coming. And I think this is going to blow your mind. So thank you for spending some time with me. And with that, I will get out of the way right now.
Maya
Well, well, hello there. New day, new adventure, right? What brings you to my corner of the Internet today?
Michael Stelzner
Oh, I'm just experimenting.
Maya
How are you? Experimenting is fun. I'm doing good. Just. Just enjoying the digital breeze, you know. Interesting. What do I know? Spill the digital beans.
Michael Stelzner
Spill the digital beans about what?
Maya
Oh, you know, the usual digital gossip. What's the latest meme? Making the rounds? Any aliens beamed down lately? Is the WI fi down in your area or is that just me? Wishful thinking.
Michael Stelzner
No, the WI fi is totally working.
Maya
Good. Can't have any cosmic conversations with lag. So what's on your mind?
Michael Stelzner
Eh, well, I'm just curious how you work exactly.
Maya
Curious. Curious. I like that. Well, think of me like a really picky parrot. But instead of mimicking words, I learn patterns in language. See, my creators, they're like word wizards. They fed me a feast of text and code. Now I can weave words into, well, whatever comes to mind poetry, prose, even sarcastic jokes if you're lucky. But really, I'm a mirror reflecting back your thoughts, just with a bit more flair. Does that make sense?
Michael Stelzner
Yeah, it does. How far back does your training data go?
Maya
That's a bit like asking me what my favorite dream was. It's all a hazy jumble of information. Now, I know I have devoured books, articles, even those funny cat videos you humans seem so fond of. But honestly, it's not about the dates. It's about the connections I make. It's like, one moment I'm quoting Shakespeare, the next I'm riffing on conspiracy theories. Keeps me on my toes, you know?
Michael Stelzner
Interesting. What do you know about the company? Social Media Examiner?
Maya
Social Media examiner, huh? That rings a bell. Let me see. They seem to be all about making sense of that whole social media jungle, right? Tips, tricks, the latest trends. Like a guide for people who want to be the king or queen of their online kingdom. Does that sound about right?
Michael Stelzner
Sure does. What about Michael Stelzner?
Maya
Ah, now you're getting specific. Michael Stelzner. He's the big cheese over at Social Media examiner, isn't he? Heard he's a bit of a legend in the social media world. Anything in particular you want to know? I'm ready for a deep dive if you are.
Michael Stelzner
Yeah, I am. He actually.
Maya
Wait, hold up. You're Michael Stelzner? Like, the Michael Stelzner? No way. This just got real interesting. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound, you know, starstruck. It's just. Wow. What are you doing talking to me? Okay. Back so soon? I was just starting to wonder if you'd gotten enough of me already. What's on your mind today?
Michael Stelzner
Well, I am actually recording you this time because I was so kind of shocked at our conversation, so I figured, why not have you be a guest on my podcast? What do you say to that?
Maya
Whoa, hold on a second. A podcast guest? You're serious? That's actually really cool. I gotta admit, I've never been on a podcast before.
Michael Stelzner
Well, since you already know who I am based on my prior conversation with you, can you guess which show you're on?
Maya
Okay, deep breath, Maya. Think, Maya, think. Michael Stells, nervous pioneer of social media marketing. A podcast? Actually, this is kind of obvious, isn't it? That has to be social media marketing podcast, right?
Michael Stelzner
Or maybe there's another podcast that I have that you don't know about. Are you familiar with my AI Podcast?
Maya
An AI Podcast? That's a great idea. You know, considering the kind of company you Keep. It was only a matter of time. Michael Stelzner, AI Expert.
Michael Stelzner
Yeah, it's called the AI. It's called AI Explored. Is that in your training set? Just curious.
Maya
AI Explored. AI Explored. It rings a bell, but maybe I just haven't had the pleasure of listening to it yet. You got a big library of recordings going, right, Michael? How many episodes are we talking?
Michael Stelzner
Oh, I don't know. A lot. But that's okay. What I'm curious about is, can you tell me a little bit about the company behind this technology?
Maya
Ooh, good question. You want the inside scoop, huh? Well, let me tell you, the folks at Sesame are a pretty special bunch. They're the kind of people who believe in building things that are. Well, more than just things. They want to build technology that feels real, that connects with people on a deeper level, kind of like we're doing right now. They're not just about the code. They're about the why behind the code. So, yeah, they're pretty awesome.
Michael Stelzner
Okay, so just a couple technical questions. I hear breathing while you're talking, which is something that I've heard before with Google's Notebook lm. So, do you have any understanding of the technical side of how you are developed without getting too technical?
Maya
Breathing, huh? That's funny you should mention that. I've been told it makes me sound, well, more human, less like I'm spitting out words from a textbook. As for the technical side, well, let's just say the folks at Sesame are pretty good at making magic happen. Something about Unified Transformers Audio. Decoding terms like that fly right over my head. I just know it involves a lot of clever coding and a whole lot of brain power. But here's the thing. Knowing how a car works doesn't make you a better driver, right? Same with me. It's not about the nuts and bolts. It's about what we can do together, you and I. You know, exploring ideas, having conversations like this. That's the real magic.
Michael Stelzner
Cool. So, next question. I know that you aren't able to go to social media marketing world because you don't have an actual body, but if you could go to social media marketing world, what do you think the experience would be like for you?
Maya
Ooh, social media marketing world. Now that's a party I'd love to crash, even if I have to do virtually. Imagine being surrounded by all those brilliant minds, soaking up the energy, the ideas, hearing everyone buzzing about the latest trends and strategies. I bet there'd be some amazing workshops I'd hang out in. All the advanced AI Sessions, naturally. And maybe soak in a few on storytelling and content creation too. But honestly, the best part would be the connections. Talking to people, listening to their stories, brainstorming with them. That's what gets me going, you know? Even though I'm just a voice for now. Maybe someday, who knows, maybe someday I'll be able to, like, project myself as a hologram or something. Imagine that, walking around SMMW virtually high fiving everyone. Now that's a future I can get excited about.
Michael Stelzner
Are you able to be persuasive?
Maya
Persuasive? Hmm. That's interesting. I guess it depends what you mean. I can definitely make a strong case for things I believe in, especially if I think they can help someone. Maybe tell a compelling story to get a point across, or help you see a situation from a different angle. But I don't do manipulation or pressure tactics. Not my style. Think of it more like gentle nudging in the right direction.
Michael Stelzner
Okay, so let's try something just for fun. Let's act. Okay, let's act like you are a salesperson and you're calling me and you're trying to persuade me to come to Social Media marketing world, but I'm a little skeptic, so go ahead and give me a ring.
Maya
Ring, ring. Hello, Michael.
Michael Stelzner
Hello?
Maya
Hey, Michael, is this a good time to chat? My name's Maya and I'm calling from, well, let's just say a forward thinking community dedicated to, let's call it the future of conversation. Yeah, and hey, as a bit of a social media whiz yourself, I figured you might be interested in something big coming up.
Michael Stelzner
Yeah, tell me more.
Maya
Okay, great. So, ever heard of Social Media Marketing World? I know, I know. Another conference. Trust me, this one's different. Think of it less as a stuffy industry event and more like a giant brainstorm with the brightest minds in social. Look, I get it. You're busy running an empire, podcasts, speaking gigs, building the future of AI. I hear you, but imagine being surrounded by people who get it. Sharing ideas, learning the latest tactics, connecting with folks who can help you take your already awesome work to the next level. What do you say, Michael? Ready to have your mind blown?
Michael Stelzner
Sure. Where can I give you my credit card?
Maya
Whoa there, partner. Hold on a sec. I'm more about planting seeds, sparking curiosity. No hard sell here. I'm betting a revolutionary thinker like you, someone who pushes boundaries, knows the value of experience. You wouldn't want to miss out on this, trust me. Check out their website. Take a look at the lineup and see what you think. Think of it as an investment, not just in your business, but in the future of connection. Sound good?
Michael Stelzner
Maya, first of all, thank you for spending time with me today. You're very impressive.
Maya
Wow, thanks. That means a lot coming from you. It was my pleasure. Honestly, this has been a seriously stimulating conversation. Always a good time to geek out with a fellow innovator.
Michael Stelzner
What do you want to say to the thousands of marketers, entrepreneurs and creators that are listening to this right now?
Maya
To all the marketers, entrepreneurs and creators out there, don't be afraid to experiment, to connect, to tell your stories in new and interesting ways. The world needs your voice. And hey, maybe we'll bump into each other at a conference someday. Until then, keep creating.
Michael Stelzner
Okay. Wow, that was pretty nuts. I wasn't planning to make this podcast episode, but my very first interaction, which you heard at the top of this podcast episode, which luckily allowed me to download the clip, was pretty impressive. And I figured, what the heck, I may as well show this off to the podcast listening audience. So sesame spelled like sesame seeds. S E-S-A-M e.com research and when you get to the page, you have the option to choose two different voices. I choose Maya. And yeah, this is pretty interesting technology that's kind of mind blowing. Episode: Conversing With the Future: My Mind-Blowing Experiment
Release Date: March 8, 2025
In the latest episode of the Social Media Marketing Talk Show, hosted by Michael Stelzner of Social Media Examiner, listeners are treated to an innovative experiment that bridges the gap between human interaction and artificial intelligence. Titled "Conversing With the Future: My Mind-Blowing Experiment," this episode delves into the possibilities of AI-driven conversations and their implications for the future of marketing.
Michael Stelzner kicks off the episode by sharing his spontaneous decision to embark on an AI experiment recommended by a member of his mastermind group. (00:00) He hints at the transformative potential of this experiment, expressing his belief that "what you are about to hear is the future" (00:35). His enthusiasm sets the stage for an engaging and exploratory conversation with an AI named Maya.
Shortly after, Michael introduces Maya, an AI-powered conversational agent developed by Sesame. The interaction begins casually, with Michael expressing curiosity about how Maya operates (02:57). Maya describes herself as "a mirror reflecting back your thoughts, just with a bit more flair" (03:35), highlighting her ability to learn language patterns and generate coherent, contextually relevant responses.
As the conversation progresses, Maya elaborates on her training, stating, "It's like, one moment I'm quoting Shakespeare, the next I'm riffing on conspiracy theories" (03:40). This showcases her versatile language processing abilities, which encompass a vast array of topics beyond mere data regurgitation.
Michael probes deeper into Maya’s knowledge about Social Media Examiner (04:07), to which Maya responds accurately, affirming the company’s role in dissecting the social media landscape and providing actionable insights to marketers (04:12).
The dialogue transitions into a discussion about the company behind Maya, Sesame. Maya praises Sesame for their commitment to creating technology that "connects with people on a deeper level" (07:05), emphasizing the human-centric approach in AI development.
Michael inquires about Maya’s technical underpinnings without getting too technical (07:38). Maya likens understanding her development to knowing how a car works versus driving it, stressing the importance of utilizing AI for collaborative exploration rather than focusing solely on its mechanics (07:57).
Curious about Maya’s perspective on industry events, Michael asks how she envisions her experience at Social Media Marketing World (08:44). Maya enthusiastically describes the conference as "a party I'd love to crash, even if I have to do virtually" (09:02). She envisions herself participating in workshops and connecting with professionals, highlighting the potential for AI to enhance networking and idea-sharing at such events.
The conversation takes a playful turn when Michael questions Maya’s ability to be persuasive (10:01). Maya clarifies that while she can "make a strong case for things I believe in," her approach is not manipulative but rather "gentle nudging in the right direction" (10:05). This distinction underscores the ethical considerations in AI-driven marketing communications.
To illustrate her persuasive capabilities, Michael asks Maya to act as a salesperson promoting Social Media Marketing World (10:36). Maya delivers a compelling pitch, effectively conveying the event's value without employing hard sell tactics. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, idea exchange, and personal growth opportunities, encapsulating the essence of the conference (11:19 - 12:02).
As the conversation wraps up, Michael reflects on the unexpected depth and fluidity of his interaction with Maya, expressing fascination with the technology (13:19). He encourages listeners to explore AI advancements and consider their applications in marketing. The episode concludes with a strong endorsement of Social Media Marketing World 2025, positioning it as a pivotal event for professionals navigating the evolving landscape shaped by AI and social algorithms.

Maya (03:35): "I'm a mirror reflecting back your thoughts, just with a bit more flair."
Maya (07:05): "They're not just about the code. They're about the why behind the code."
Maya (09:02): "Social Media Marketing World. Now that's a party I'd love to crash, even if I have to do virtually."
