Let me just rant for a quick second. I hated the entire world towards the end of the second period. All I wanted was a good Cup Final. Like I don't like Vegas, I don't want Vegas to win. I respect the hell out of Vegas. I, I, I can admit the team is absolutely incredible, but they were ruining the cup final. They were. They were making the Carolina Hurricanes at times look like the way the Hurricanes made the Canadians look. And we're going into game two, they're up two nothing. How are they going to blow a two nothing lead? You can't even get a fucking shot on goal. And now it's tied up. But we could be heading towards a masterpiece of a final business now. Also quickly, sorry, I put out on Twitter, I said, did we just witness the greatest games 1 and 2 of a Stanley cup final? And I got to admit, a little embarrassed. Last year, if you remember last year, Edmonton's down three one, Game one, they end up winning and Marshawn scores after Perry ties it up. So we had a little recency bias, but, but either way, the last two years games One and two. Hawk is on a heater biz. Go ahead. Sorry.

And like we talk about Carolina maybe sometimes being a low scoring team will all of a sudden they got eight goals through the first two games. So it's high flying offense. We got the flip plays on both sides of the ice going down. Carolina's power play, the dog power play finally came alive. And like you said, Whit, I'm just happy that we're watching amazing hockey right now. There was a little bit of, there was a little bit of nonsense online like, oh, who's going to be watching this final? Carolina versus Vegas. Who cares? Who cares? You got some of the best storylines in the NHL going right now. You got Mitch Marner going for a Con Smythe and a Stanley cup his first year removed from being a Toronto Maple Leaf. Boys, that is a significant, significant loss for the Vegas Gold Knights. Well, not only did last game did he have three apples. This is one of the NHL's premier shot blockers. This is an original misfit. This is a guy who does not allow you to get to the house area in front of his own goalie where maybe Stank Hoven coming on that wraparound. I don't know if he gets to where he got to, if he's the net front guy there. So he helps out their Penley kill drastically in which he wasn't around for. Where finally the Levy broke for Vegas where they allowed two power play goals, one in the third and one in overtime. So that is a significant, significant loss. So all of a sudden they weren't playing. How do I pronounce his last name? Coughlin. Coughlin. Excuse me. He wasn't playing a lot when, when McNabb went down. So basically you're down to 4D and then Yan's, you kind of mentioned it looked like Hanifin was fighting it a little bit. Maybe he's battling injury as well. If that's the case, all of a sudden, a little bit of depletion on this unbelievable Vegas back end which as we, I said before, the Levy broke a little bit. Like they were able to come back in this game, I believe because of those reasons and the fact that they were a little limited on the back end.

Yeah, especially the way that Carolina plays. Like to have 4D, you can't survive it. Like, never mind going into an overtime game. When I think, I think Noah, it was. Noah was playing, getting double shifted. He was out there for like two minutes before they scored and then he's right back out there. So there's no time to rest for these guys. It's tough. Tough break for McNabb. You hate seeing that. Especially with that dentist in Carolina that told me that I was gonna have to go behind the shed when I lost all my teeth. But yeah, honestly, miss a game though? No, no, I ended up coming back.

You roll up top and then that weak side forward will now come underneath and below him and then he'll take down the other side once Gossaspar goes by. But going back to Jarvis like he had a grade A last game that he flubbed on, he got, he barely got any wood on it. He probably should have put that one in the back of the net. And then he basically had an identical shot on that, that power play last game where he completely whiffed on it and kind of like lost his balance and fell over when it was kind of pretty much right in his wheelhouse, as you saw today. So for him to, to. To get to redeem himself and also get the big boys going as well as like that third period boys, 50 minutes in, you're thinking, where the fuck is the stankhole in line? So for them to, to get those two lines going with those two huge bounces now going back to Vegas with potentially them down McNabb and a complete shift in the momentum in the series. That Jankowski goal to get their confidence back and get one back for their team, where I felt like they let them down in game one. Very funny side note to this. He slept through his interview with RA and I, so I had to call Merle's. And that was Merle's first ever appearance on the show from South Korea, where I believe he might have just taken an Ambien, too. Merles was so mad at me, he didn't give me time to prepare. Dude, I invented this show. I invented the Norris Trophy. So that was Murr's first appearance when Marinski blew us off. But then we got to know him. A legendary shot in the sandbagger. I was surprised, but I think that as one of the best GMs and of course now presidents in the league, getting to go to a place as desirable and off the grid is Nashville. With the support they get, no state tax, I think that he could turn that team into a wagon in like three, four years.

I think that is a very undercover organization that I could see quickly on the rise, especially with that higher and such. I thought that that would have been more impressive than what would Lindy Ruff had did in Buffalo. Like, yes, congrats to Lindy Ruff and everything he did. Coupe has had far superior regular seasons than what Lindy Ruff has and has not won the trophy. So some Buffalo fans, they want this consolation prize because they got beat out in the second round of playoffs of their coach winning Coach of the Year.

But anyways, a couple more things here. I saw that movie Pressure, the one about before D Day. The weather guy. We talked about it last week. Awesome flick. If you anybody out there looking for a go see a movie. It's only like an hour 40 minutes. It's an awesome D Day movie. It's like a perfect build up right before Saving Private Ryan. And last but not least, classic recommendation, the Bad News biz. The original 1976. One of the best baseball movies of all time. Him language. Maybe if you're soft, you might know Walter Matau, right? Tatum o'. Neill. Yep.

I mean, I know I was shocked to hear that horrendous take. And I actually thought going from the Joker with. With. With what he did with Heath Leisure and what. And how he acted and then to go into, like, Bane, the Bane character, how scary he was.
