Meghan Markle, she just tested positive for hantavirus. I'm just kidding. Could you imagine that would be the super bowl for my show if Meghan Markle tested positive for hantavirus, she'd be doing a sit down interview with Oprah and like a hazmat suit. Okay, that's Meghan Markle's fantasy. If she tested positive for the virus, she's probably going to go find someone with Honda virus and sort of hug and kiss on them like she always does because she has no personal boundaries and is socially awkward. So we'll be discussing Meghan Markle. Apparently, she went through some humility training before the trip to Australia. So she wanted to learn how to be a little more humble, a little more grounded, a little more down to earth and. Honey, can I get a refund? Can I get a refund? She needs to get a little refund on that humility training because it didn't work. Okay, so whoever she went to for this PR humility training, you flopped, you failed, and you should have had that training a long time ago. So we'll break that down. We have an update on Princess Catherine. She's doing her first big trip since her cancer diagnosis. She's now recovered from cancer and seems to be doing great. So she's going to Italy. They had a huge garden party at Buckingham Palace. So we have all these updates on Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, William. We also have some Political news. We're going to talk about Spencer Pratt in Los Angeles who's taking on Karen Bass. You guys know I've known Spencer Pratt a little bit, met him before, talked with him. I'm rooting for Spencer Pratt in Los Angeles to be the mayor, and he's really captured the attention of so many people across the nation. I think a lot of people from the grassroots level are rooting for Spencer Pratt just because Karen Bass was a horrible mayor of Los Angeles. So we're going to break all of that down. We have some news about the View, but I want to start off the show by saying how grateful I am to all of the moms and the women who support me. Yesterday was Mother's Day. You guys know I love my mom more than anything on this earth. Shout out to my mom's Bible study if they're watching. Sorry if I'm a little off color sometimes a little bit cheeky, but I would not have a career if it wasn't for the incredible moms and women who support me. I know as I go throughout my day that I have this army of moms who watch and comment and share and have my back. And we agree, we disagree, but I'm so grateful for all of you guys. And I posted this on social media the other night, okay? We went to Albert Sins and we got some flowers, and I wanted to put together this flower arrangement for all of you guys. So if nobody has sent you flowers, I'm sending you flowers. So for all the moms out there, some moms wrote me yesterday on Instagram and they said, my son forgot it was Mother's Day. My son forgot it was Mother's Day. And so we put this together. I posted it on social media, but if you haven't seen it yet, happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there. We would not have a planet if it wasn't for you guys. We wouldn't even be here if it weren't for you. So shout out to all of you guys. And I also want to acknowledge. Oh, good thing I've been working out. Good thing I've been working out. I also want to acknowledge. I know Mother's Day is tough for so many people. Whether you've lost a parent, a lot of my friends, this is their first Mother's Day without their moms. There are also parents out there who've experienced the unimaginable, unthinkable loss of losing a child. And so whatever configuration, whatever walk of life you come from, I am thinking of you and sending love to you. And I hope you had a good Mother's Day yesterday. And if you had a terrible Mother's Day, it's in the past. Fast. Let's sit down, have a good time, pour yourself a drink if you need to. And my hope is over the course of this episode, you can have a little bit of escapism and we can have some levity, some humor and go through some of the news and make the world seem a little bit more palatable. So we're gonna jump into our hot topics, but we gotta pay some bills really quickly. We have a 60 second ad and then we're right back this spring. I feel as human beings, our brains aren't meant to process all of this stimulus every single day. But last week and even this morning, people are still talking about this haunted virus. Now, the hantavirus, it started out on that ship. And remember, everybody on the ship, they were posting these videos. They were tick tocking and tweeting and twatting and Instagramming and doing whatever the hell the kids do these days. And they were saying, listen, we're trapped on this ship, there's a virus, we don't know what's going on, Please get us off the ship. And I had empathy. I had empathy for them being stuck on the cruise ship. I've also been on cruises before and had to endure cruise ship entertainment and karaoke, and so that would be a reason to jump off. So I did have empathy for some of the folks who were on the ship and really getting stir crazy and claustrophobic. But at the same time, I can be a little bit heartless. Okay, I'm not going to do all this suicidal empathy where just because I feel bad for you, I think y' all need to come running to shore. And so I was actually perfectly fine with the people staying on the cruise ship. I was fine with them staying on the cruise ship until we really found out what was going on with the hantavirus. Apparently it has something to do with the rats and the rodents, and it's not something we should be worrying about. And at this point, I'm really not going to worry about it. I'm not going to lose sleep over it. But we have some updates. So about 17 people have come home to the United States. Americans who are on the ship. I've heard as of about an hour ago they are quarantining and doing things differently in different states. So apparently in Nebraska, they're doing it this way. In Tennessee, they might be doing it this way. And so apparently on a state by state basis, I hope everyone's quarantining and just staying there. But I imagine they also came in contact with other people on their way back to the United States. I imagine they probably were rubbing shoulders. And then on cruise ship, everybody drinks and has a good time and goes back to each other's staterooms. I mean, this isn't the worst thing to happen on a cruise ship. Okay? Have we seen Titanic? Have we seen Titanic? There was room for two on that door. Jack Rose, get it together. But no, have we seen Titanic? There are worse things that have happened on a cruise ship. But I do have empathy and feel terrible that some of these folks are sick, that they're ill, that they have fevers. And if there are any casualties, if anybody has died from the hantavirus, I feel terrible for you as well. But I'm not doing all this again. I'm not doing all of this again. During the Last pandemonium in 2020, I was living in New York. I stayed inside. I social distance. I wore the mask. I did everything I thought I was supposed to do. I found out later all of the elites in Washington and the celebrities in Hollywood, they're getting together for parties and dinners and God knows what. After Hours. Who knows what was happening at P. Diddy's house, but everyone was still getting together and having a good time. So we were supposed to be at home, fearful, scared, not with our friends and family, not getting sunlight, not getting vitamin D, not getting fresh air, not eating good produce. But all the other folks, the elites, were cavorting, going on vacation, and traveling with their ventilators, having a good time. So y' all are gonna need. Need to give me a really compelling reason to be scared about hantavirus, because 99% of people I talk to, we're just not gagging. We're not. We're not freaking out. You know, we're not losing sleep over hantavirus, but we found a woman on social media who is losing sleep over hantavirus. We have to look at this clip. Roll it.
B
Hey, if you're worried about the hantavirus situation, wear a mask, wear a respirator, even outside. This is a head strap one. This is an N95. There are also KN95s, which are just the ear loop ones. The tighter it is to your face, the better, which is why the head straps are a little bit more protective. It basically just creates, like, a seal to prevent air from coming in or escaping. You can also get these really cool little sip valves so you can drink without taking your mask off. Also, just reducing risk.
A
Absolutely not. The second I saw that blue hair with the blunt bangs, the midlife crisis bangs, I stopped listening and taking her seriously. If you still need to wear a mask, if you feel you need to wear a mask, no judgment. Do whatever floats your boat, okay? If you feel that you need to wear a mask or you're immunocompromised, go for it. But I'm not going to start preemptively wearing a mask, especially a mask that tight. Y' all want me to break out with this skin? With this skin, you want me breaking out acne and clogging my pores? Hell, no. So, no, I will not be walking around with a mask on, because I'm not, you know, deranged. But I understand there are some folks who are still living in the pandemonium of 2020 and 2021. Like something snapped in their brains. They haven't recovered. I also feel like America as a whole, we're a different country. After the last pandemic, I feel like a lot of us are changed. Our interactions are changed. We're much more online. And I had friends during the last pandemic who took their own lives, who fell into deep depressions. Because they couldn't go to work anymore. They were told to social distance and not get together. And I always felt like the mental health crisis was just as worrisome, if not more worrisome than the virus itself. And so with hantavirus, we'll be monitoring this, but we're not losing sleep over it. You guys, let's not panic. You don't need to go out there and buy a bunch of toilet paper like you're on an episode of Hoarders. Let's relax. But speaking of panicking, someone else who's panicking is Meghan Markle. Okay? So Meghan Markle, her brand is basically in the gutter, okay? I think hantavirus has a higher favorability in the culture right now than Meghan Markle. Actually, if we look at public polling, people feel better about hantavirus than Meghan Markle. So she apparently underwent humility training. We have it in the notes here. She underwent some training to try and learn how to be grounded and relatable before the trip to Australia. And my thing is this. If you have to pay someone to teach you how to be nice and kind and relatable, then maybe something's broken inside of you, mama. Maybe something is just broken deep down inside your rotten core, your rotten soul. Meghan Markle, because I'm a nice person, I don't need to go pay people thousands of dollars, allegedly, to teach me how to be kind, how to be respectful. But remember, in Australia, she was down under, really trying to rehabilitate her image, right? She knows, okay, Netflix, Ted, Sarandos, those people really don't want anything to do with her. They don't care about her. Every product she tries to come out with, everything she touches turns to crap. And so it was imperative for her to go to Australia and try to rehabilitate her image. Now, let me read you this. This is from Radar Online. So a source close to the Duchess of Sussex says there is an extraordinary level of planning behind the scenes aimed at softening her image and eliminating anything that could see. Excuse me. That could feed the old diva duchess narrative. And so I think she practiced how to hold her face, how to inter with people. And if you remember, they got off that dirty international flight and immediately went to a children's hospital where the kids had cancer and were immunocompromised. I don't know who thought that one through. So then they're taking selfies and kissing sick children after getting off an international flight. But now that we hear from these sources, she went through humility training and how to look, look at her trying to look happy and smile and, oh, my gosh, I'm not a diva, everybody. I'm not a diva. I don't buy it. I do not buy it. Meghan Markle. I think money and fame don't really change you. I think they just amplify who you were to begin with. And I think that's what we're seeing with Meghan Markle. If you were always sort of this grifter and this scammer going one from one thing to the next, if you were always a social climber and had a little bit of these sociopathic narcissistic tendencies, in my opinion, then the money and fame, they're just going to throw gasoline onto that fire and turn it into a blaze. Turn it into a blaze. So the humility training did not work. The Australia tour did not rehabilitate her image. In fact, when she was selling an outfit, selling a cheap little outfit she wore to meet survivors of a terrorist attack at Bondi beach, did y' all not think that might hurt her image even more? So, Meghan Markle, we wish you well. We'll be praying for you and your image. But we have a little bit more to discuss. Another story that was going viral over the weekend pertaining to Meghan Markle. Apparently, King Charles has removed her picture from his home at Highgrow. We have this picture that was apparently taken by Chris Jackson. He's very big in the royal world. He takes so many incredible pictures of the king and the royal family. So shout out to Chris Jackson. But we can see here we have Charles. We have a family picture with Prince William, with Harry, but no Megan. No Megan. Now, sources say there was apparently a picture from their wedding that was up there and it's been taken down. I don't blame King Charles. Why would he want a picture of Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Scam a lot up in his home? If we just look at the facts right, he walked Meghan Markle down the aisle, gave her everything she wanted. She didn't have to work. She didn't have to do anything too hard. And she still turned around and shanked the royal family. And this is why I always give a cautionary tale to all of my girls and all my women who follow me, all of my chickadees who are out there in the dating world. When you marry a guy and you have it good, know that you have it good. Don't always think the grass is greener on the other side, like Oh, I can get more. Okay. If you're always looking for a bigger, better deal. God, the universe, karma, they are going to smack you down. They're going to smack you down. And that's what happened with Meghan Markle. She got too big for her britches. So I don't blame King Charles. He's been royal his whole life. His entire world revolves around keeping this institution going and honoring the monarchy. He just had an incredible trip here in the United States. It was wonderful. And so King Charles removing Meghan Markle's picture. I applaud that. I applaud that people are allowed to have boundaries and say, you know what? I barely know you. You're a washed up reality star, and I don't want your picture in my house. I don't want pictures in my home of people who've treated me, horrib and crapped on me and turned around to stab me. Why would you want that? Why would you want that picture of Meghan Markle? And if we even just look at the data, King Charles barely knows Megan Markle, Right? Even though he walked her down the aisle and he knew her a little bit when she was dating Prince Harry and was engaged. They left the royal family in January of 2020. They weren't around that long. They've been gone, what, six times longer than they were there? Five times longer. And so in King Charles eyes, why even have a picture of this stranger in your home, this California B list actress who is always trying to hustle and probably doing God knows what on the casting couch. So, King Charles, we applaud you. King Charles has shown to be a little bit of a stronger force. I know some people don't love him. They're iffy on King Charles, but there's something about him I really respect in this moment. Now, someone else I respect, I want to talk about Princess Catherine really quickly, because Princess Catherine, she's going on her first foreign trip to Italy apparently in about three and a half years, right? So she hasn't gone on many trips because of her cancer battle, her diagnosis, which she came through with such strength and such beauty and grace. And I actually found something to be so powerful about. Catherine, the Princess of Wales, talking about her cancer journey, talking about how she was struggling to juggle parenting and health and keeping her home together. I felt that was really relatable to so many women who have been touched by cancer and touched by illness. I don't think there's a person watching this who hasn't been touched by cancer in some way, who hasn't lost a family member or a friend to cancer or seen them battle. And so Catherine being so open about that on the world stage, it's just not something you would have even seen from the monarchy 50 years ago, 100 years ago, 30 years ago. But it's very modern. She's a modern woman. And so shout out to Catherine, she's going on her first trip. Let me give you all of the details. So she's going to Italy on May 13th and 14th. She plans to carry out a working visit with her Royal foundation center for Early Childhood. Torreggio Emilia. The Royal foundation center for Early Childhood, founded by Catherine, the Princess of Wales, it focuses on improving children's emotional, social and cognitive development during the critical early years of their life. Now, this trip, okay, it's going to have recognition for the educational philosophy that values children's creativity, relationships and rights through exploration and collaborative learning. So all of that to say, okay, all that fancy philanthropic speak to say, she's going over there to work with children and young people. And I think that's a winning case because they are the future of our country. She's known so much for being this mother to George, Charlotte and Louis. And so I think this is incredible. And I think it also shines a light on the next generation. And I always say, I feel this way in politics here in the United States of America and why I love that our first lady, Melania Trump, does so much for children and education and their well being and foster care. Children are unburdened by political constraints. Right. It's unfortunate sometimes when children reap the negative consequences of political decisions adults make, because children aren't republican or democrat. Right. They aren't pro monarchy or anti monarchy. They're just kids. Right? And kids have a right to an education, to clean clothes, to clean food, and to be treated with dignity and respect. So shout out to Catherine. The Princess of Wales will be monitoring this trip. And to give you a little bit of an update, According to the Mirror, a royal aide says that she's feeling well and energized about the trip and that she's in very good health. And back in 2024 is when she publicly announced that she had cancer. And so I'm so happy to see her doing well. The last thing I will say is they hosted their first garden party at Buckingham Palace. Look how beautiful they are. You see Catherine in white and black. She's got the black buttons, the beautiful hat. Prince William looks so strong, handsome, masculine. Anybody who says Prince William is not Handsome. You're lying. You're lying. Okay, even if he looks like Elephant man, he's royalty. So, you know, we can drop the bar. But no, he is actually objectively quite handsome. And so he's got the top hat on. They look great. They look like a power couple. And they look like a couple ready to lead and modernize and take the monarchy in a new direction. And so shout out to both of them. He will not be accompanying her, as far as I know, on this trip to Italy on her foreign trip. But the way she carries herself with such grace, I hate even bringing her into this conversation, but it's such a juxtaposition to Meghan Markle, right? When you see real royalty, when you see Catherine and how she carries herself, and you look at some of these other girls, some of these other little troglodytes trying to make it and hack it in Hollywood. This is grace, this is class. Have you gotten caught up in the red light mass craze but you just don't see results? Results? It's because those masks don't work. Because, well, they can't work. Compared to what doctors use, most of those masks are helplessly underpowered. The red light therapy that's actually proven to work is from light stem. It's made in the USA and has sold over 60,000 devices to dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons and estheticians. Guessing your red light mask brand can't say that. Best part is this. You can actually have a light stim at home. Now I have the light stim ellipsa and love it. It I get the same anti aging technology my doctor uses, but right at home I could see and feel the difference almost immediately. It's FDA proven to reduce wrinkles on the entire face. Medical grade means it works. It stimulates natural collagen and elastin production. It's totally affordable and saves a fortune in doctor visits. If you want the same medical grade technology at home that doctors use to treat wrinkles in slow aging, go to light STEM spelled out light s T-I-M.com and use my code link to save 10%. Now. I want to switch gears to the mayoral race in Los Angeles. You guys know I know Spencer Pratt a little bit. We've met before. We're friends on social media. I am wishing him well in this election. I think California needs new leadership across the board. And people keep attacking Spencer Pratt saying he shouldn't be mayor because he doesn't have political experience. He was on a reality show. He was just a reality star. He was a villain, you guys. Okay? I don't want someone who has decades and decades of in office experience and has run a city or a state into the ground. I don't think there's a real correlation between someone who's been in office a long time and success because the people who've been there, the status quo, it's not working. Karen Bass in Los Angeles. The fire hydrants didn't have water. They did not have water. She was off in Africa and Ghana on some eat PR love walkabout journey as her city was burning to the ground. So don't tell me, oh, Karen Bass has all this experience. She's held the jobs you need to vote for her. I think it's time to try something new now. Vote for who you want if you're living in Los Angeles. But I think if you're doing the status quo and everybody's homes are burning to the ground, okay? And there are homeless people running amok and dying every day in the street and animals being abused. Why not give Spencer Pratt a chance? And if he doesn't succeed, if he doesn't do great, call him out on it. But give Spencer Pratt a chance because he's managed to stay alive, alive in the industry and the business for decades. And when I met Spencer in California, it was right after his home had burned down. This man had drive. He wasn't letting it tamper his spirit. He understand he was the father and the patriarch of his family. He was there with his wife Heidi, who's beautiful. And so I am really rooting for Spencer Prout. I think it's time for some new young blood. And what's the worst that could happen? Because the way you've been trying things in Los Angeles has not worked. And so last week there was a debate with Karen Bass, Spencer Pratt, the other woman, what's her name? Nemithia Nabithia Rabithia. I don't even care what her name is. She's some nobody. But we want to play you the super cut we have of Spencer Pratt. Just washing everybody else in the debate.
D
She's an incredible liar. Everyone on their phones, Google it. 40 weather stations in the Pacific Palisades. It never went above 40 miles. Some of these people she's going to offer treatment for, she's going to get stabbed in the neck. These people do not want want a bed.
A
As Mayor Bass and Spencer Pratt attack me because they want to run against each other.
D
Mayor Bass and I are definitely not working together. I blame this person for burning my house and my parents house and my town and all my neighbors down. I am not working with Mayor Bass. You think it's easier to run against the incumbent mayor with all the unions or a random city council member who's been a failure for six years? I would much rather run against Councilwoman Rahman, thank you very much.
A
That is the passion and drive I think Los Angeles needs. I don't even like to visit Los Angeles anymore. I have great friends who live there. There's so many beautiful parts of California in general. But between Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass and all the failed leaders, why go there? Why go there? It's not enjoyable to walk down the street in Los Angeles anymore. So many of the great businesses have shuttered or they're littered with homeless people. And I love Spencer Pratt's really been using modern technology. Look, he has throw out Karen Basuda. Spencer Pratt for mayor. He calls her Karen Basuda, which makes means trash and espanol. Hola. Hola. Shout out to all our Spanish viewers, all 12 of you. But no, shout out to Spencer Pratt. He's really, really doing so great. And I want to play you. The last thing I want to show is this campaign ad because it is genius. This is how I think being on reality television and in media comes in handy. Look at this advertisement.
D
This is where Mayor Vass lives. You notice something? Or here where Nithya Ramen's three million dollar mansion Sits. They don't have to live in the mess they.
A
They've created.
D
Where you live. This is where I live. They let my home burn down. I know what the consequences of failed leadership are. That's why I'm running for mayor, for my sons and the rest of us Angelinos that want to stop these corrupt politicians from destroying our city. We are going to get the golden age of Los Angeles back.
A
I love it. I absolutely loved that ad. And I love how he's turning tragedy into strength. And he even said the other day in an interview, you know, I could have been a victim and been down on myself because I lost everything, my kids lost everything. But he says he feels so empowered now running for office. And I actually felt, watching that ad when he said, this is where I live, I feel like that's a great slogan. I don't think it's a slogan at all, but I think for people in Los Angeles who lost it all, and especially people who've lived in LA their whole lives and watched it go downhill and downhill, this is where I live. This is where I live. It's not where I live technically, but I think that's a good slogan. I like the idea of saying, this is where I live. So we'll be monitoring Spencer Pratt's campaign. We have some polling data here. I don actually want to read you all the polling because it's from almost two months ago where Karen Bass was at 25%, he was at 11%. We really don't have tons of new in depth polling. But I will say, after the debate, he skyrocketed in favorability. People saw his strength, his masculinity, the fact that he could take on these sort of swampy creatures. And so I'm looking at all this data here. People are rooting for him. They see him as a real viable candidate. And I feel like that's half the battle in politics. Proving that you can win. Win is a way to take people, make people take you more seriously, even showing you have the strength in the fight. And they start to see you as someone who could actually get it over the finish line. I feel so often great candidates lose or don't make it out of a primary even because people go, oh, well, they'd never win the general. They would never win. Oh, this guy can't win. And so if you can prove to the people that you have the ability to win in the gumption, that's half the battle. So shout out to Spencer Pratt. But we got to move on to Katie Porter. So Katie Porter, she's running for governor of California. She's in the gubernatorial race. She is a troll. Okay? Katie Porter looks like some woman you would have seen at the circus decades ago. Like those sort of she, male, half man, half woman, people who can, like, bench press £500. Katie Porter looks like she could pick me up and throw me out the window. And she's also been caught on camera screaming at her staff going, get the F out of my shot. Get the F out of my shot. And imagine that's her on camera. Imagine what she's like when there are no cameras around. So Katie Porter, I think she's a disgusting, low down, dirty troll. I'm also just going to be honest here. I feel like we need more hot leaders, okay? California with entertainment and Hollywood and all the influencers. I feel like we need hot people running California. Even though I hate Gavin Newsom's policies and can't stand him, he has that sort of American Psycho gel back hair look. Katie Porter is just not someone I want to look at every single day on the news. Gavin Newsom, I can actually bear looking at him. Katie Porter, she looks like she can't figure out what gender she is. She's got that sort of Helga haircut. It's not good. But Whoopi Goldberg, speaking of trolls who stick together, Whoopi Goldberg, on the View, she defended Katie Porter's alleged abuse of her staff by saying, you know, I yell at my people, too. I yell at people. I want to play you this clip of Whoopi Goldberg. You get caught in a moment and,

you know, everybody's got a camera, camera.

So I'm sorry. I have yelled at people who worked for me. I have yelled at them. I've never seen you treat someone like that well because you, you can't always. Yeah. I mean, do what be doing. The reason you don't see it is because I'm very careful when I yell at people. Now I fully believe this. Whoopi Goldberg, she tries to play this real nice, every woman, voice of the people, people. This is a pretty deranged person, right? This is a pretty deranged person. This is a member of the Hollywood elite, Whoopi Goldberg. She's trying to rebrand herself as this sort of common woman, as someone who's relatable. This is someone who, you know, goes to the Met gala and the Oscars and hosts the Oscar. She's in that elite world. I don't care what she says. That's Whoopi Goldberg. Whoopi Goldberg is. I love Sister Act. I haven't seen any of her other films. I think she was in Ghost. Was she in Ghost? It's on my list to watch Ghost. Okay, I do want to watch Ghost, but I just can't bear to look at Demi Moore like that for two hours. But Whoopi Goldberg, I don't think she's a nice person, but I'm not shocked that she's defending Katie Porter. Because liberals love Katie Porter. They don't care if they're horrible people, if they have horrible policies. Because she's a woman, because she's liberal, because she's kind of seen as an underdog right now, of course they're rooting for her. And I think that's wrong. I think that's wrong. And what's also interesting is someone like Whoopi Goldberg, she's really insulated from the consequences of any election. When you're part of the liberal media, media elite establishment, it doesn't matter who's in office. You have private cars take you to your studio. You probably have a private chef, security. Nothing that really goes on in the world penetrates your bubble. And so it's easy for these women to sit around in a television studio and say, vote for Karen Bass in la. Vote for Katie Porter. Vote for Kamala. Vote for Joe Biden. Why should Americans have to vote for people who hate them, who've done nothing for them, who've squandered their tax dollars? well my friends, thanks so much for tuning in to Spot on with Link. Lauren. I loved all the topics we covered today. I'm still cracking up inside Meghan Markle doing humility training. If you allegedly have to pay people to teach you how to be kind, how to be decent, how to be a human being, there's something deeply flawed and wrong with you. And so we'll be monitoring that story as well. But as for you guys, thank you so much for tuning in. We will see you back on Wednesday with more Hot Topics. I can't wait to read all of your comments. I read everything. I cannot respond to every single comment on social media and on YouTube and across the board, but I read it all and I love everybody's perspective. And you guys agree with me, you disagree with me. And that's sort of the beauty of this community we have here online. So be well. We will see you back soon. Bye. Episode: Meghan Markle More Hated Than Hantavirus, Princess Catherine's Debut and Spencer Pratt Surges in LA
Date: May 11, 2026
Link Lauren delivers his signature irreverent, unfiltered commentary on pop culture, politics, and royalty. Major topics include the ongoing hantavirus scare (with little panic from Link), Meghan Markle’s latest PR attempts and abysmal public image, Princess Catherine’s inspiring return post-cancer, Spencer Pratt’s fiery LA mayoral run, and side commentary on political figures and media personalities. As always, Link blends biting humor with candid takes, encouraging listeners to both laugh and reflect.
Summary:
Link opens with satirical riffing on the viral hysteria around hantavirus, mocking the suggestion that Meghan Markle might test positive ("Could you imagine? That would be the Super Bowl for my show if Meghan Markle tested positive for hantavirus..." – 01:15).
Link clarifies that while some Americans returned from a cruise ship with hantavirus, he refuses to panic, drawing a comparison to the divisive stateside response during Covid ("You need to give me a really compelling reason to be scared about hantavirus, because 99% of people I talk to, we're just not gagging. We're not losing sleep over hantavirus." – 07:43).
He plays a viral clip (08:47) of a woman advising everyone to mask up:
Link’s take: blunt, cheeky, and dismissive, says he won’t join in another cycle of panic and anti-social behavior.
“With this skin, you want me breaking out with acne and clogging my pores? Hell, no.”
(Link Lauren, 09:23)
Link tears into Meghan Markle’s failed attempts to rehabilitate her image, after reports surface that she underwent “humility training” before her Australian tour.
“Honey, can I get a refund? She needs to get a little refund on that humility training because it didn’t work.”
(Link Lauren, 02:10)
He argues that authentic kindness can't be bought or learned at a workshop.
Reviews her PR moves—meeting children in Australia immediately after a long flight, awkward attempts to appear humble, and even selling clothes worn to a hospital visit—as tone deaf and callous.
Notes a Radar Online report claiming that elaborate PR efforts are underway to soften her image.
Mocks the fact that, according to public polling, she may be less popular than the hantavirus, offering:
“I think hantavirus has a higher favorability in the culture right now than Meghan Markle.”
(Link Lauren, 09:39)
Adds another viral story: King Charles has reportedly removed Meghan’s picture from his home.
“Why would he want a picture of Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Scam-a-lot, up in his home?”
(Link Lauren, 12:33)
Direct advice to his female listeners (and a shade at Markle’s social climbing):
“If you’re always looking for a bigger, better deal, God, the universe, karma, they are going to smack you down. They’re going to smack you down. And that’s what happened with Meghan Markle. She got too big for her britches.”
(Link Lauren, 13:50)
Catherine (Princess of Wales) returns to public duty, planning her first overseas trip since her cancer battle.
Link praises Catherine’s openness about cancer and the relatable challenges of balancing health and motherhood:
“There was something so powerful about Catherine, the Princess of Wales, talking about her cancer journey, … trying to juggle parenting and health and keeping her home together. I felt that was really relatable to so many women who have been touched by cancer and illness.”
(Link Lauren, 16:30)
Details her upcoming trip to Italy (May 13–14) to promote early childhood development, emphasizing the philanthropic mission.
Observes how Catherine embodies modern royalty and juxtaposes her dignity with Meghan Markle’s perceived opportunism:
“When you see real royalty, when you see Catherine and how she carries herself, and you look at some of these other girls, some of these other little troglodytes trying to hack it in Hollywood—this is grace, this is class.”
(Link Lauren, 19:50)
Link roots for Spencer Pratt’s outsider candidacy, lambasting incumbent Karen Bass and the current state of Los Angeles.
Argues that political experience has no bearing on success for a troubled city:
“I don't want someone who has decades and decades of in-office experience and has run a city or a state into the ground … It's time to try something new.”
(Link Lauren, 21:41)
Shares a debate supercut (#23:36), highlighting Pratt’s passionate rhetoric:
[Spencer Pratt]:
“She’s an incredible liar. … Some of these people she’s gonna offer treatment for, she’s gonna get stabbed in the neck. These people do not want a bed.”
(23:36)
“I blame this person for burning my house, and my parents' house, and my town ... I’m not working with Mayor Bass.”
(23:59)
Praises Pratt’s campaign ad for turning personal tragedy (losing his home to fire) into a message of connection:
“This is where I live. They let my home burn down. I know what the consequences of failed leadership are. … We are going to get the golden age of Los Angeles back.”
(Spencer Pratt campaign ad, 25:08)
Link’s verdict: Spencer is surging post-debate, bringing energy and authenticity lacking in the LA political establishment.
Brief detour to the governor’s race: Link eviscerates Katie Porter, calling her “a troll” and “not someone I want to look at every single day,” contrasting her to “American Psycho” Gavin Newsom (“He has that sort of American Psycho gel-back hair look.” – 27:56).
Plays a clip of Whoopi Goldberg (The View) defending Katie Porter’s abruptness on camera:
[Whoopi Goldberg]:
“I have yelled at people who worked for me. ... I’m very careful when I yell at people.” (28:45)
Link dismisses Goldberg as an insulated Hollywood elite and criticizes progressive support for flawed liberal candidates:
“Liberals love Katie Porter. They don’t care if they’re horrible people, if they have horrible policies … Because she’s a woman, because she’s liberal.”
(Link Lauren, 29:45)
Link Lauren’s signature style is biting, sardonic, and laced with cultural references and quips. He shows moments of warmth (notably, the tribute to mothers and acknowledgment of difficult holidays at 03:22), but rarely pulls punches when critiquing the rich, famous, and political. The episode balances escapism, cultural commentary, and pop-political analysis—a “spot on” sampler for those who want news that’s as entertaining as it is opinionated.
