Well, my friends, welcome back to spot on with Link. Lauren, I hope you had an amazing Easter weekend. If you celebrate Easter. If you don't, hopefully you had a good weekend. I went out this weekend to try to get some sunlight. Do I look a little more tan? Am I delusional? Do I still look like Casper the ghost? My neighbors, they probably think I'm crazy because anytime there's sunlight now I go out in the driveway, no shoes, no shirt, in some gym shorts, and I walk around the driveway and I try to get sun and I go like this. But I'm not really that close with my neighbors anyway, so I don't care what they think about me. I also saw before we sat down, okay, Savannah Guthrie returned to the Today show today. I don't know why they didn't advertise this. Maybe they were worried she was going to be too emotional. She might be a little bit of a basket case. Understandably so. But I thought it was weird that the Today show didn't do a bigger part marketing blitz to say Savannah Guthrie is back. So I just saw that before I sat down. I think it's good Savannah Guthrie returned to work because if we're being honest, in my opinion, I think Nancy Guthrie has gone on to heaven. I think Nancy Guthrie is no longer with us. And I think the children, because Savannah Guthrie has young children with her husband, if they're used to seeing mommy go to work, I think they need to see her get back into that routine because unfortunately, we. When you're a parent and you're dealing with grief or trauma or any issue in your life, depression, what have you. You got to put on that brave face, especially if you have young kids, because they're going to feel that and they're susceptible to everything going on around them. So I think it's good Savannah Guthrie has returned to work. I also think if she breaks into tears, if she has a meltdown, if it goes great, if it goes horribly, we live in an era where people kind of wear their emotions on their sleeves anyway. We're in this influencer world now. And so I think it's okay. I think America and the audience will show Savannah Guthrie grace. They will give her a minute to get back into the swing of things. So we wish Savannah Guthrie well. I just saw that before we sat down. But as for today's show, okay, we're going to be doing a full breakdown on everything, everything going on with the royals, Meghan Markle, what they did over Easter. We also have an update on Meghan Markle's retreat. As you know, she's hosting this girls retreat down under in Australia. It's not going well. It's looking like fire festival. We're also going to talk about Michelle Obama and Gavin Newsom's wife, Jennifer Newsom. So these are two liberal women at the top of these liberal elite circles, but they don't seem happy. Right. So we're going to break down why that is, what's going on with all of that and then we're going to round out the show. We have this new poll we found that's been going viral over the weekend about women who want to work, women who want to be trad wives. There's this whole trad wife trend on the Internet and they want to be stay at home moms. So we're going to discuss that, what I think it means for the culture. But right now we're going to pay some bills really quickly and then we'll be back in 60 seconds. The sun coming up in the morning, taxes, and Michelle Obama complaining and running her mouth. So Michelle Obama, every time I go on the Internet, you guys, she's complaining or she's crying or she's unhappy or saying money can't buy happiness, okay? Money can't buy happiness. And you apparently weren't happy in the White House, but then you also weren't happy growing up on the south side, Chicago, with humble beginnings. So when are you happy, mama? You know, I really have this theory when people become rich and famous. And I've seen it with some of my friends who've had a lot of attention or fame or their businesses have taken off. However you were before the fame and attention, that's how you're going to be with money, okay? That's how you're going to be when you take off, it's just going to be amplified. So if you were an insufferable, shrill woman beforehand and we're kind of annoying and obnoxious, then it's just going to be amplified now that you're in Martha's Vineyard at your mansion. And so Michelle Obama, she had Jamie Lee Curtis, the actress, on her podcast, another very, very elite liberal, Jamie Lee Curtis. So she went on Michelle Obama's podcast. This is a podcast where basically Michelle Obama sits around her mansion complaining about life. And I want to play you guys this clip from the podcast. This is where she talks about how fame and money don't make people happy. Roll it.
Michelle Obama
We are talking about something much more altruistic. You know, the dopamine hit that comes with engaging with other people, you know, So I want her to think beyond stuff even, you know, yeah, go to school, get your degree if you can afford it, you know, have a good career, you know, you know, be able to support yourself. But I know too many people who have all of that and more. The billionaires in the world, the millionaires, the people who are Famous, the people who have it all, the people that you look at and think, well, I want their purpose. And what they're doing isn't making them happy or whole. It's not giving them self esteem, you know, in fact, it's doing the opposite.
Link (Podcast Host)
It's interesting. Every time Michelle Obama is on camera, she's talking about how she's not happy, how the people around her aren't happy. You guys, this does not make anyone want to be rich or famous or in the limelight, because Michelle Obama, how are you not happy? Right? You were the first lady of the United States. You were revered by the world over. Literally got nothing but positive, amazing press and attention. The liberal media rolled out the red carpet for her anytime she walked into a room, metaphorically, for the lawyers. So, Michelle Obama, if you're not happy, what's going on at home with you? I almost. I can't stand Barack Obama, okay? He's a beta male, too. But I almost feel bad for Barack, right? Like, to come home to a woman who, let's be honest, put her in the White House for eight years, gave her a great life. She wouldn't have these multimillion dollar deals with Netflix, the book deals, the podcast, if it weren't for who she married. And she's still talking about how the fame is and the money don't make her happy. Okay? And if you guys remember, she's complained about her hair, her makeup, her fashion, her style. This is not relatable. We actually have a clip we'll put up on the screen. Remember she did that photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz a few months ago where she's got her hair blowing and she's in the denim jeans and she's kind of rubbing her pants and really feeling herself. Ma', am, you say the money and fame don't make you happy. And that's not what happiness is all about. Anytime we see you, you're literally doing photo shoots. You're getting your hair done, your makeup done. Most Americans are just trying to pay their bills, okay? Most Americans have real issues. Not hair, makeup, styling. All of these elite Martha's Vineyard style issues that Michelle Obama has. And so Michelle Obama, you can keep complaining, you can keep saying you're unhappy, you can keep doing your little podcast, but there's a reason, if you even look at polling data, Michelle Obama used to poll way up here, she's one of the most beloved female figures in American politics. I think at one point, she was the most beloved, even more than her husband. And that's come crumbling down because Americans are like, listen, we got a lot on our plates. We wish our biggest issue each morning was getting our hair done and our makeup done in fashion and style. And I've just never seen any other first lady complain the way Michelle Obama has. It's very interesting. Of course, life is probably not perfect for any first lady, right? You're under the microscope. The press is picking you apart. You have obligations, you have a lot going on. You're under attack constantly. But I've just never seen any other first lady express anything but gratitude for being able to be in that position. And for Michelle Obama to get out there and complain every single day about trivial, inane, mundane issues makes me sick. But someone else who makes me sick. Gavin Newsom's wife. Now, Gavin Newsom's wife does not actually call herself a wife. She's apparently the first partner of California. And as I've told you guys before, I'm gay, and I don't even want to be called partner. Like, we're not playing pickleball, not playing doubles tennis. I don't. This isn't the Wild West. I don't need to be called partner. But Gavin Newsom's wife, she calls herself the first partner. And even on the government website, I looked over the weekend, if you go to the California government website, she has this long spiel. She calls herself the first partner because she wants to be inclusive of LGBTQ plus people who might be coming into office. It's just, it's always this liberal, garbledygoop language. She's, like, almost as bad as Meghan Markle. You know what I'm saying? She's as bad as Meghan Markle. Jennifer Newsom, she raised some eyebrows over the weekend because a clip went viral of her giving a speech where she talked about how she gives her little boys dolls to play with, how she changes the protagonist of books she's reading to her sons. She changes them from men to women so her boys, I guess, can understand that women's stories matter. She's really trying to deconstruct gender norms. We're going to play you guys the clip, and then we'll discuss.
Jennifer Newsom
I've given our boys dolls, even if they tear the head off, I've given them dolls to learn that care and caregiving is not just an activity that's reserved for women, but that it's also an activity that is a responsibility of men. What I've done with both my daughters and my sons is if I'm reading a book and the protagonist is a male. I just change the he to a she. And it just normalizes. For my sons in particular, it's not even. I don't even just do it for my girls. I do it for my sons because I want them to see that women can be the center of a story. We're all kind of like in this place in history maybe, where we're recognizing what it is to ultimately deconstruct all these gender roles and ultimately be human. And that's exciting to me.
Link (Podcast Host)
Okay, number one, this is why her sons are watching old Charlie Kirk videos, watching why they're watching men on the Internet. Okay, God bless. God bless these sons. They've got Gavin Newsom as a father who's a complete beta male, but at least he's out there lying to the public, trying to act like he's somewhat a normal guy. But then Jennifer Newsom goes out there and she's just this kind of deranged Marxist liberal who lives in a very elite bubble in California. And I'm sure in that bubble, this type of language works. I'm sure it makes sense. I'm sure it's okay. But you should spend less time trying to deconstruct gender norms and gender roles and more time fixing the homeless crisis in your state. The fact that you're building bridges to nowhere, the fact that you're running a massive deficit, the fact that the fire hydrants didn't have water, those are the issues I would focus on before deconstructing gender norms. But I think these radical people like Jennifer Newsom, they want to sort of tear apart the foundation of society, get rid of structure. They don't want gender. She's made that very clear. She does not want gen norms or gender roles. It's important for kids to have structure, to know, this is a boy, this is a girl, this is male, this is female. If we don't have that structure in society, you're going to have chaos and anarchy and little kids who are trying to make sense of the world. When you're raising your sons, why try to confuse them further? And then I have questions too, right? Let's say she's changing the protagonist from a man to a woman. When you're reading your kids Harry Potter, does Harry become Harrietta? Does Harry become like this non binary gender, non conforming wizard? You know what I'm saying? Or even with historical books, right? Does George Washington become Georgina Washington? You know, I don't understand how this is going to work, but I wish these kids well being raised by Jennifer Newsom and Gavin Newsom. And we have one last clip where she blames the patriarchy for Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem's exit from their roles in the administration. Let's take a look.
Jennifer Newsom
Trust me, I'm not a fan of Pam Bondi nor Kristi Noemi, but I need to call out that it's no surprise to me that the first two prominent people pushed out of this administration were women. Let me explain. The conservative women that Trump hand picks who align themselves with an agenda that controls women, restricting our rights, limiting our autonomy, and pushing us back into this straight jacket of femininity that is only in service of men. There's a familiar pattern here. Women are brought in packaged mar a Lago style and live it up as long as they commit to wholeheartedly serve the interests of the patriarch at the top.
Link (Podcast Host)
We're still doing this. We're still doing the patriarchy. Garbledygoop. Like, how are you going to call out the patriarchy when you are a prominent, wealthy woman with a platform? Let's just let all of this patriarchy BS go that Jennifer Newsome is trying to push. I mean, we're not living in an era gone by. Okay, Jennifer Newsom. But it's interesting. She prefaced it by saying, I don't like Kristi Noem. I don't like Pam Bondi. But then it's the patriarchy. And then it says, I can't tell. Okay, is Gavin Newsom just so happy to have her outside of the house tick tocking and tweeting and twatting and doing whatever she's doing? Or is he cringing on the inside? Because if Gavin Newsom wants to have any shot at the nomination in 2028, he's going to have to muzzle his wife. And that's not a sexist comment. That's not the patriarchy Jennifer Newsom. It's just a political fact. I'm pretty good with PR and marketing and communications. She is the worst nightmare for most Americans. An affluent, rich, white, liberal woman from California talking about the patriarchy and gender roles. That is literally what Americans do not want. I actually think Gavin Newsom would have a better shot at the presidency if he divorced her. But the thing is, with Jennifer Newsom, you have to remember right from the Harvey Weinstein trial, she had relations with Harvey Weinstein. She really wanted to be a big actress in Hollywood. She wanted a big break. And I think what we're dealing with now is a woman who has such unrealized Dreams and goals. And she never really made it in Hollywood in the way she wanted to. And now she's sort of taken a backseat to her very famous and handsome tall husband who's revered by the Democratic elites. And now that 2028 is approaching and the spotlight is on her more. She's posting more videos. She's getting out there more. There are a lot of recovering theater kids who find their way into politics. Hello, recovering theater kid right here. Game knows game. And I think because that career never popped off for her for decades and decades of her hustling to make it in Hollywood, now that she has the spotlight, she's going to use it to push her radical ideology. But when it comes to children, I think they need gender roles. I don't think you can blame all the issues in our country on the patriarchy. It's the patriarchy. And listen, some people might be mad at me for saying this. We could use a little bit more of the patriarchy, okay? We could use a little bit more of that toxic masculinity liberals like to make fun of and like to attack. I mean, we have enough beta males in the Democrat Party. Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, Cory Booker, like, give me a little bit of toxic masculinity. Give me any day of the week. Now, before we go to another quick break, I want to give you guys a little story that really piqued my interest over the weekend. So I was so not interested into this whole NASA Artemis 2 space mission. I didn't even know it was happening until that morning. They said that some spaceship is going to go off into space. I was never into being an astronaut as a kid. I wanted to talk. I wanted to have a talk show. I wanted to be in the mix. So I am living my dream. I did not ever dream of being an astronaut. You know, my mom wasn't into space or astronauts, so she was never dressing us up like that. So I didn't even know Artemis was happening. I'm here to tell you guys, I've been sucked in, okay? I've been sucked in. The videos on social media of the crew are cute. They're entertaining. I think it's kind of fun. They're not landing on the moon, they're going around the moon. Kind of like a drive by at an ex boyfriend's house. You know, sort of just go around the moon, turn the lights off on the car, turn off the headlights, get down real low when you go by his house. So they're going around the moon. It's like a little 10 day adventure they're going on. I love the pictures they're posting of Earth because it puts everything into perspective. And I'll talk about this more on social media soon. I'm gathering my thoughts now, but when I see these pictures of Earth taken from the spaceship, it just puts into perspective this, these fights we have and all the minutia of day to day arguments. It's just, it's not important, right? We are a speck of sand on a vast beach, right? And so I think our purpose here on Earth is to love, to learn, to be in fellowship together. And you get a couple of decades here on this planet, God willing, and then you move on. And so I think that put it into perspective for me. But something else that was put into perspective for me over the weekend is exactly why I would never go on a spaceship. So apparently they're sharing 44 square feet, all four of them. Could not be me, okay? Could not be me. 44 square feet for all four people. And over the weekend, there was an issue with the toilet. So the toilet costs $23 million. That's an expensive toilet, okay? That is a gold toilet, okay? You know those fancy toilets, the totos that like open on their own and they can probably play music and have WI fi and probably do some other things. So those toilets are what, probably a couple grand. I don't know. This $23 million toilet was already malfunctioning over the weekend. And I happen to be watching the live stream. I watched the movie Stand By Me on Prime and then I went over and on prime they had this live stream of the astronauts and they were complaining about this odor coming from the toilet. And then this ended up on the news in the New York Post. So let me read you this regarding the smell. I just wanted to make sure you all were tracking the EGS notes of the kind of burning heater smell that was coming from the toilet several times. This is one of the astronauts talking to ground control. She's like, hey, there's an issue. The toilet is smelling. Now, they were told by mission Control that there were no major concerns, that they were basically just going to have to deal with it. And I was watching this and I could tell the woman at Mission Control was like, okay, someone backed up the toilet on the spaceship. Y' all got a couple days left. You're just gonna have to deal with it. So they might be up there in space dealing with some smell. Some odor. So that would not work for me, okay? That would not Work for me. But I have fallen in love with this crew. I said last night on social media, and people agreed with me. I'm glad we only send handsome men to space. I think as America, as this world superpower, we should only be sending hot people to space. Okay? We only send hot guys to space. They're all handsome. They're smart, they're brilliant. They have brains and beauty. She's also great, too. And I think it's good they sent handsome men because they have good DNA. God forbid, okay, God forbid, something malfunctions and they have to, like, stop off on some other planet in the Milky Way. They have hot people to start a new civilization, right? You've got three hot men. You got her. She's going to be really busy. But if they have to start a new population out there in cyberspace or wherever the hell they are, then at least you have these hot guys. So God bless these folks out there in NASA. There has to be an element of sort of daredevil adrenaline junkie, you know, And I don't judge them for it, but you have to really want that sense of adventure to go up in a spaceship. I was talking to my friend last night and she's like, I just couldn't do the G force. And when they take off so fast, I just couldn't. I couldn't do the G force. And I'm like, yeah, honey, we would need, like, facelifts and necklace after all that G force. Boo boo. I don't know if we would survive in space. I also just don't want to be around people that much. You know what I'm saying? I think if I were in space for 10 days in a small capsule, I'd be so sick of everyone. You guys know, if I go to a party, I'm really excited and on and having a good time for a couple hours. I need days at home to be left alone. I need to be left alone. Okay? I haven't gone to a family reunion since I was five. So anyway, God bless the NASA space crew. We're going to pay some quick bills and be back with Meghan Markle and the Royals. Were you as intrigued as I was by those red light therapy masks all over social media? We were told they were the breakthrough in anti aging, so I got one. I used it for weeks, hoping to see results. Honestly, nothing compared to what doctors use. Most of those masks are helplessly underpowered. The red light therapy that's actually proven to work is from Light Stem. It's made in the USA and has sold over 60,000 devices to dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons and estheticians. The best part is that you can actually have a light stem at home. Now I have the light stem ellipsa and love it. I get the same anti aging technology my doctor uses, but right at home I could see and feel the difference almost immediately. It's FDA proven to reduce wrinkles on the entire face. Medical grade means it works. It stimulates natural collagen and elastin production. It's totally affordable and saves a fortune in doctor visits. If you want the same medical grade technology at home that doctors use to treat wrinkles and slow aging, go to light stem. Well, I've avoided it for weeks. But now we have to talk about the Duchess of Scamalot, Meghan Markle. You guys requested it. We are back with a Megan Markle update. Okay, nobody is safe today. Let me tell you what's been going on with her. What's been going on with Prince Harry? I guess he still has his title. He's not, you know, the Harry formerly known as Prince. So let me tell you what is going on with these two little hucksters. But before we get into them, I want to talk to you guys about how the royals celebrated Easter. This is important. Okay? For the first time in three years, all of the senior royals were together at St. George's Chapel. So you had Catherine, the Princess of Wales, Prince William, George, Charlotte, Louis. The entire family had a unified front. You had King Charles, you had Queen Camilla. You had other, you know, side members of the family. They all got together at St. George's Chapel. And the first time in years, since 2023. And I think this was important, right from a PR perspective, to see the strength of the royal family back together out there, saying, listen, we might have had some issues recently. We might have had some negative press. We don't know what's going on in Montecito at the McMansion with the Duke and Duchess of Soho House. But we're going to be over here continuing on with the things we have done for years as a family. And it warms my heart to see Katherine in good shape and good health. She looks absolutely gorgeous. Shout out to all the royal fan pages, breaking down the style. She looks gorgeous. It's crazy. The kids are growing up so fast. Look how tall George is. Look how tall Prince George is. And to thank, think about all of the pressure on him that I hope he doesn't internalize. To know that someday you are going to be the King, God willing. That's a lot of pressure for a young man. And so I love seeing the family. Some folks online pointed out that Prince Louis was on his best behavior, which is bittersweet to me, because I loved when Prince Louis was just this rambunctious kid, because it's like, okay, the royals, they're just like us. All the parents around the world would say, listen, our kids don't want to sit still at long events or church services either. And so I love seeing the family. And if you look at this picture, this is the monarchy, okay? This is the monarchy, King Charles, Camilla, and this is that next generation that's going to carry the monarchy and the institution into the future. And I know some folks think, oh, well, the Royal Family is frivolous. Why should we care? There are so few institutions in society anymore, in modern society, that really honor tradition, that really have that pomp and circumstance. And I do think that William and Catherine understand the future of the monarchy. They understand what's important. They understand the demographic makeups of the Commonwealth of, you know, 2 billion people. And I think they're gonna really champion charities and initiatives that are important not just to them, but to the entire globe. And so I'm excited to see what they do. But we're not gonna just kick King Charles and Camilla to the side. I absolutely love them. And they're actually coming to the United States. In a couple of weeks, which I'm very excited about. Now, across the pond, Meghan Markle did Easter with her kids. And I knew, okay, the second I saw these pictures of the actual royals over in the uk, I just knew that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were going to post their children on social media, because this is what they do anytime the royal kids over in London get attention. Megan Markle and Prince Harry post their little kids, and they actually shared this video on social media of them running and looking for Easter eggs and having a great Easter together. But this is what we're going to see more and more, okay? All of the reporters I talked to over in London, all of the people, you know who are on the inside, who give me little tidbits of information, this is what we're going to be seeing from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Because her Netflix deal is in the gutter. Everything she touches, it does not go well for her. Everything Meghan Markle does, it's an absolute disaster. Utter calamity. Prince Harry, he seems checked out half the time, and I almost understand it. And so when you have Meghan Markle, what can she do to generate press and views and clicks on the Internet? She's going to have to pedal the new generation of kids. But there's something kind of creepy about it to me, I'm going to be honest. If you're a celebrity, either show your kids or don't show the kids or don't. But doing all these videos from the back with the kids walking, it's just. There's something eerie about it. She's always posting the kids from behind, you know what I'm saying? It's like, here's the back of her head, here's the back of his head. And of course, as a parent, it's up to her to make that decision. It's her prerogative. But either show the kids or don't. You know what I'm saying? And I felt that way. It's like back in the day with Tom Cruise and Suri Cruise and Katie Holmes. They were sort of that real big first celebrity couple with kids who were in the limelight, either do it or don't. But this halfway showing the back of the head, I will tell you, I think Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, for the right dollar amount or the right television contract, they will show the kids. I think they'll show the kids faces for the right dollar sign. They just sort of hold out and they tease it until then. Now, next up Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are allegedly upset that they have not been invited to the Met Gala. Now, this is Anna Wintour's big event. It's always the first Monday in May. Welcome to the club. Okay? 99% of us will never go to the Met Gala. And honestly, you couldn't pay me to go to the Met Gala anymore. The Met Gala used to be a big deal, okay, in fashion and Hollywood and politicians would go. Now half the people at the Met Gala. I don't even know who you are. I don't know who this new little crop of celebrities are. You know what I'm saying? And then they have all the influencers coming in. As an influencer, I think I can say this from, you know, a position of strength. You don't always need a thousand influencers running into an event that's been historic for decades and decades. And so Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, they apparently have not been invited to the Met Gala. Let me read you a little bit of what's going on. So it's co chaired this year by Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and of course, Anna Wintour. Now, other celebrities, Kris Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Cardi B and Hathaway, Sydney Sweeney, Cara Delevingne and Addison Rae have been invited this year. But this is my thing. Some of these people, they aren't a list. I think the Met Gala should be a listers and then philanthropic folks who give money. Because the point of the Met Gala was to raise money for the Costume Institute at the Met, at the museum. And now it's just become a spectacle. And so I will say one thing about Anna Wintour. She knows how to run a business and generate attention. I do think her moment has passed a little bit. I think Vogue really has shut out half the country. Conservative women, independent women. They've really only catered to an elite group of liberals. And I think maybe some of the new leadership, they'll change. But honestly, there's a reason print is going down. No, no one's buying print anymore. But I will give Vogue a chance to evolve and change. I'm not going to throw the baby out with the bath water. And one positive change they made is they're not inviting Harry and Megan. So Harry and Megan, they'll be licking their wounds. I still wouldn't be shocked if they crash. If they crash the red carpet. If I see them on the steps and they crash the red carpet, that should be very interesting. But let me read you this next story. We have Meghan Markle's retreat in Australia, it's in shambles, okay? I told you guys weeks ago, this is like Fyre Festival. We'll put a picture up of the conference room that's been circulating on social media. It reminds me of the Fyre Festival. So Meghan Markle, people are paying thousands of dollars to go see her down under in Australia. I think some people are paying 3, 200 for a VIP package. You don't even get a solo picture. It's like a group shot with Meghan Markle. Who is she? She thinks she is the Queen of England. You know what I'm saying? She's like, won't even give you a solo shot. You meet President Trump, you meet our first lady here in the United States. You meet people who have real power and real star prowess. They give you a picture. They're kind, they're generous, they're humble. Meghan Markle, she's over there not even doing solo shots. She's like, I'll do a group picture. They paid $3,200, and y' all are going to get one group shot. But she's doing this retreat. It's supposed to be women, and it's supposed to be empowerment and female empowerment. Meghan Markle's never been about female empowerment. It's this faux liberal feminism that she pushes. She's never supported women. When the queen was on her deathbed, what was she doing? She's doing Oprah interviews. She was doing Oprah interviews, accusing her in laws of racism and saying that they drove her to be miserable and drove her to be depressed. And this is called the Her Best Life retreat. If you're a woman and you want to live your best life, take the thousands of dollars you would spend on this retreat and invest it. Okay? Some investment advice. Take that money and invest it and watch it grow and let it sit there, okay? Go open a Trump account. But to spend thousands of dollars to go hear Meghan Markle talk about business advice or how to live your best life. She can't even run her own businesses, okay? The jams, jellies, and dog biscuits and all the as ever stuff, it's horrible. It's barely selling. We haven't seen new products in months. The Netflix deal, down the tubes. So I don't understand who's paying to get business advice from Meghan Markle, but there are people who are. And I know some folks have bought tickets to try and go in and infiltrate, but it just reminds me of that Fyre Festival years ago, the music festival where People showed up and they expected, like, a Coachella. And they use all these celebrities to advertise it, like Kendall Jenner, allegedly. And all these, you know, women on social media. People showed up on this island for fyre festival, porta potties. I think the food was like a piece of cheese on bread in a Styrofoam container. It was really like Survivor. It was like an episode of Naked and Afraid. I'm a celebrity. Get me out of here. And that's what these pictures are giving me. They're giving me fire festivals. So my advice to all the women, take the money and invest it, okay? Take the money and enjoy being at home. Don't pay thousands of dollars to go sit under this cheap fluorescent lighting and listen to Meghan Markle talk like she's a female founder. The only thing she found was a rich, famous husband. And I give her kudos for that. Okay? She bagged the most eligible bachelor on earth. But beyond that, what has she done? Well, this last story I want to do, okay? Apparently, Queen Elizabeth refused to take Harry's calls without a witness present. Let me read you. So the queen refused to take Prince Harry's calls without another person present in the room following his exit from royal life. Now, this is according to Hugo Vickers, a longtime friend of the royal family. Now, this was after Harry and Meghan's interview with Oprah, where they basically accused the family of racism. After Harry did his book Spare, where he wrote about intimate arguments he had with his brother and his family. Everything in between, whenever Prince Harry called his grandmother, she asked her lady in waiting to stay with her. Now, what's interesting is there were stories recently that the head of Netflix, Ted Sarandos, wouldn't take Meghan Markle's calls without a lawyer on the line either. And so it's interesting. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, no one wants to talk to them without a lawyer present because they're litigious people because they spin stories and they make up all of this nonsense, right? They could have a conversation with you, and then they're going to go and twist it or use it in a book or use it in a reality show on Netflix or use it in an Oprah interview. I'm about to sneeze, you guys, because I'm allergic to bullshit. I'm allergic to this topic. Give me an EpiPen. Help. So Harry and Meghan, I just think I wouldn't trust them. And I think a lot of powerful people are like this, whether you're the queen, whether you're the head of Netflix. You got to have some other folks on the line if you're having an important phone call, because Meghan Markle could go and run to the press. Prince Harry could put it in another book. You just never know. So I understand the Queen. And the thing is, the people often looked at the Queen as this kind of little old lady who was respected and beloved. But, oh, is she really savvy? Let me tell you, okay? She became queen at 25 years old. She was the queen for decades and decades and decades. Through war, through advancements in technology, social causes, social changes, women's liberation. She lived through many different, different generations and issues. There was nobody savvier than Queen Elizabeth ii. The Queen knew what was up and she knew what was going on. And so she would have known. Okay, I can tell that my grandson and his new little wannabe actress wife are up to something. I've seen it. I can see how the game's being played. They're two little hucksters. Come get over here. We're gonna take a phone call. I want some witnesses on this call. And so shout out to the Queen for being savvy. And that concludes our royal roundup of Harry and Meghan. Deck can feel like everything is piling up. The bank fees. The collector calls like it's getting worse every month. And if nothing changes, it will. One thing I love about the United States of America, you can be anything in this country. It doesn't matter where you came from. It doesn't matter your background. It doesn't matter if we started out on a reality show. Spencer Pratt, who blew up on the show the Hills, he has risen to number two in Los Angeles's mayoral race against Karen Bass. Now, Karen Bass, if you remember when her city was burning to the ground and the fire hydrants didn't have water, she was over in Africa, okay, I think she was over in Ghana doing some eat, pray, love journey, whatever the hell she was doing. Why weren't you home, boo boo? Why weren't you at home taking care of your constituents? And so Spencer Pratt, he understands social media. He understands the Internet. He understands the modern age because he comes from that world of reality television. He's giving her a run for her money. And there's some folks who say, oh, well, he doesn't come from the world of politics. What can he do? Hello. Some of the most powerful figures on earth right now came from the private sector and entertainment. And so I love this country because Spencer Pratt, he's number two. And I'll also say, with Spencer Pratt, we'll put a video up on the screen. He and I were Internet friends. We follow each other on TikTok. We met in California, I think, last year. We ran into each other at lunch and took a fun video that he put on his TikTok. And so I've always been a fan of Spencer. I Support him. And he's always a good time. He's a good time, he's positive, he's fun. So shout out to Spencer Pratt. If I lived in Los Angeles, he would have my vote right now. What do you have to lose? Voting for Spencer Pratt Because Karen Bass is so bad. If you're going to do the status quo, you're going to get the same results. So I think vote for Spencer Pratt and give yourselves something different. He also seems very, very bipartisan. So there's a new public affairs survey by UCLA. It says that Karen Bass, of course, is at 25%, but behind her, Spencer Pratt is at 11. Okay. Now a full 40% of likely voters say they're still undecided just two months before the June 2nd primary. I've always said this. I think a lot of voters, and as we're seeing 40% are undecided but likely to vote. They make their decision up in the last few days. They go, okay, who has my best interest? I'm going to try the new guy, and I'm going to go with the old woman who's terrible. So I think it could really be interesting if you have 40% undecided. Even if Spencer Pratt doesn't win, it's a signal that people aren't happy with her. And so voting for Spencer Pratt is a signal to say, listen, these failed leftist policies aren't working for us. The fact that, that the mayors over in Africa during a natural disaster is not working for us. So kudos to Spencer Pratt. I want to follow this a little bit more. And even if you don't live in California, drop a comment and tell me how you feel. I think outsiders shouldn't feel ostracized from jumping into politics because we need fresh voices 100%. Okay, this last topic we have to discuss. Okay, you guys, I hope you're sitting down. There is a new poll about how young women are viewing lives and happiness. And this poll is called How Young Women Rank their dream lives. 40% of women say they want to take the trad wife path. 23% say they want the girl boss dream. Now, the trad wife path apparently is just stable marriage, children, and a focus on home and family rather than the girl boss dreams of luxury, money and hustling. As a solo kind of entrepreneur, my take on this is very simple, right? I'm not a woman. I don't have kids. I've never been with a woman. But I was raised by a strong woman. If you want to work and working makes you feel fulfilled, Go and do it. If being a stay at home mom is what is really fulfilling to you and you have the means to do so, do it. But I think what's missing from the conversation, a lot of time when I see people on the Internet say, oh, get married, have kids, raise them, be at home. That's not a possibility for everybody, right? It does cost money. If your husband is a breadwinner, if he's making enough so you can be at home with the kids, that's one thing. But there's some women, they would love to live that trad wife dream. They love to just be at home with the kids, which is one of the most honorable jobs on earth. Right? But they don't have that luxury. And also on the flip side, conversely, if you're a young woman and you really want to make it in the world and you want to have, you know, a Fortune 500 company and you see, you know, the inventor of Spanx and Bumble and all these female entrepreneurs and you want to go chase that, do it. And I think also you can do both. You can work and be there for your kids. Your kids are going to be okay. I see so many of my friends, some of my friends are young moms who work, right? They're young moms who work on this podcast. I work with young moms all the time. They have that mom guilt when they go out and they have to work or they have to show up and do this or miss a benchmark in their kids lives. And I think they really allow it to eat away at them. Your kid is going to know that you love them, right? If you miss one thing here or there because you got to pay the bills, that's the world we live in. That is the world we live in. And so I think I'd love to see a lot of my young mom friends give themselves a little bit more grace, give themselves a pass. Don't beat themselves up constantly. All right, my friends, thanks so much for tuning in to Spot on with Link. Lauren, I absolutely love you. We covered a wide range of topics. Okay? We talked about the royals. We talked about the wannabe royals over at Montecito. We talked about some politics. We talked about the nuclear family, women staying at home, women working. We did a lot. Okay. But I hope you are doing well. If you're at home watching us alone, I'm thinking of you. So you're not actually alone. And I want to say shout out to everyone of all ages. I know we people from 18 to 80 to 90 to 100 who watch our podcast and support. Thank you and thank you. I post on social media in between shows and I know you guys follow me on Instagram and X and other places and you get more tidbits in between. So thank you so much. We will see you back on Wednesday.
