Well, my friends, welcome back to Spot on with Link Lauren. I am reporting live from Washington, D.C. yesterday was my Super Bowl. I was at the White House all day yesterday for the state visit of King Charles, Queen Camilla. There was pomp, there was circumstance, there was pageantry. Everything that I love. I have been covering the royals for probably 10 years, as long as I've been covering the Trumps, President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump and everything going on in politics. And so to see this convergence. Hello, I was in heaven. And I also wanna say, those of you who follow me on social media, on X, on Instagram, some of you saw my head, I guess on tv. You saw my head in the background or walking around on television. I got so many messages from people saying, we know how much this means to you. We're so happy for you. We're so happy that you're there. And the fact that you guys are so happy for me, it's something I'm genuinely grateful for. And it's one of those situation, you're at the White House, you're watching King Charles, Queen Camilla, First Lady, Melania Trump, President Trump all together and you're trying to get your content and get the footage so I can report back to you guys and get everything out. But there are also moments where you're just like, I gotta take this in. Okay? I have to take this in. Because this is just a once in a lifetime opportunity. It's probably the last time to see King Charles in person. Ever. I don't think he'll be coming back to the United States anytime soon. I don't think he'll be doing, obviously, a state visit to the White House again in his lifetime. And so they're really, well, a historical weight to it and something I'm incredibly grateful for. So we're going to break all of that down on today's episode. We have an update on Jimmy Kimmel's horrific comments from last week, his comments about Melania Trump becoming a widow. He is doubling down. He's not apologizing at all. So I guess ABC and Disney are doubling down as well. So we have some interesting stories. We're also going to start off the show with a huge royal update because, hello, I was there. I was your eyes on the ground. So we're going to pay some bills really quickly. We have a 60 second ad and then we'll be right back this spring. If you want real results, better gut health, glowing skin, stronger hair and steady energy, start with Colostrum. So here's everything you need to know from yesterday's state visit with President Trump, King Charles, Queen Camilla, First Lady, Melania Trump. I have to say we showed up yesterday early in the morning. I'm the type of person, okay, if it says to show up 9am I'm going to go very early and sit there and play on my phone and eat some Cheez its, eat a banana and just luxuriate and listen to my AirPods, because I am not going to miss an opportunity. Okay? My entire life, my entire life led up to this state visit yesterday. You guys who've known me for years and followed me on social media and different iterations and different eras, you know, this means a lot to me. I have been covering the royals forever. This also means so much to my family because my family loves the royals. My mother as well. Here's a picture of me yesterday. I will say the outfit came together. The outfit came together. I will tell you guys. When I was packing, though, to go on this trip, I thought I grabbed matching pants and sport coat. I did not. They were slightly different blues. But you know what? We're not going to sing the blues. We had to move on. I also threw on a pink tie. I never wear a pink tie, but I thought, we're going to see the royals. Let me throw on something that looks nice. So this was yesterday at the White House. You can see the crane in the background for the construction. One thing I found so interesting, and I put this video on my Instagram story. The construction continues. Okay? So while King Charles was up there with President Trump and President Trump is speaking, the construction and the cranes kept going. They're like lowering timber. They're lowering things. And I thought, that is so quintessential President Trump. And it's like, listen, the royals might be here, but we're going to continue building this ballroom. Okay? We got a ballroom to build. And so here are some videos we have right here where they are welcoming King Charles and Queen Camilla. And First Lady Melania Trump just looks absolutely incredible. Shout out to her stylist who she's worked with since the first inauguration, Herve Pierre. He's such a creative genius and such a dynamic duo. If there's one thing we know about First Lady Melania Trump, especially from her film, she is meticulous about her fashion, her style, her tailoring. Obviously, as a model and someone who has studied architecture, she has such an attention to detail. And that's something that really came through. I will tell you, throughout the entire event, all day yesterday, today, 1820 hours, however long it went, there wasn't a detail that was overlooked by the first lady. And so I have, you know, such kudos for her because she doesn't let anything slip through the cracks. And I think it's because of that attention to detail that these things are such a success that they go off without a hitch. So here's a video I took. You have Queen Camilla, First Lady Melania Trump. They're walking up onto the stage, onto the dais. And this is where King. This is where President Trump is going to give a speech where he makes some jokes about King Charles. But they also had this huge military presentation, right? And you guys know I love the pomp, the circumstance, the pageantry. And I have such love and respect for everybody in our armed forces, everybody who serves this country. I would never be brave enough to do so. Those guys are just warriors to me. And so to hear the bands playing and the drums and the brass instruments and everything out on the lawn at the White House, it was just incredible. It was really a moving, moving experience. And I will tell you, okay, until about 30 seconds before they came out, it was pouring rain, you guys, we were all fighting for our lives. I met this lovely Korean woman. She's a journalist from Korea. Her name is Jenny. She lent me her umbrella. We became best friends, and we were crouching under the umbrella on the lawn. So shout out to her. She's incredible. And I should have brought an umbrella, to be honest. It was a pouring rain, but it's like God knew when they came out there and it was time, the rain ceased for a little bit. And I actually think the pictures looked incredible because it was a little overcast and cloudy. That's honestly the best for pictures. So here we also have the royals going to inspect this new beehive. You know, the first. He's very passionate about bees. King Charles is very passionate about bees. If we don't have bees, we don't have vegetables, we don't have fruit, we don't have anything on this earth. And, you know, bees are under attack. And so I think this new beehive is the bee's knees. I thought it was incredible that they were went to go see this. It was very important, very meaningful. They got to take home some honey. I heard that was made there at the White House. And so it was really, really beautiful. This is a video from the White House. And the entire trip was just coordinated perfectly. Everybody got along. There was such mutual respect between King Charles, President Trump, Melania Trump, Queen Camilla. Everybody had such respect for each other. And what I love about seeing the President, King Charles together, you have two men who are at the top of public life, right? Some of the most visible men on Earth, probably the most visible men on planet Earth coming together. Do they agree on everything all the time? No, but that's part of free speech. And King Charles even said as much in his address to Congress and in some of his remarks throughout the day. We don't have to agree on everything. But this transatlantic partnership and alliance is absolutely so meaningful. So meaningful. And when you get to witness it in person, you see just how crucial it is. And I actually want to play you guys a clip from President Trump's speech on the White House lawn where he speaks about his mother. And President Trump's mother, Mary McLeod Trump, I've told you guys this for years. She loved the royal family, okay? She was from Scotland. She absolutely adored the royal family. There's a story that she allegedly put a young Donald Trump in front of the television to watch the Queen's coronation when she was 25 years old. You know, Queen Elizabeth II took the throne at 25. Imagine that responsibility at such a young age and then carrying through so many eras. So I want to play this clip for you guys. I think you will enjoy it.
Donald Trump (clip)
Love the royal family. And she loved the Queen. And anytime the Queen was involved in a ceremony or anything, my mother would be glued to the television and she'd say, look, Donald, look how beautiful that is. She really did love the family. But I also remember her saying very clearly, charles, look, young Charles, he's so cute. My mother. My mother had a crush on Charles. Can you believe it?
Link Lauren
So one thing President Trump and King Charles share is this sense of humor. Obviously, King Charles sense of humor is that very cheeky British humor. And President Trump, he's just gonna give it to you straight. Boom, boom, bo. So these are both really cheeky guys of the same era, of the same generation on the world stage. And something I've thought about for a few years is imagine what Mary McLeod is thinking, looking down on her son, right? He's the President of the United States, and now he is hosting King Charles, the King of England, Right? I imagine his parents are looking down on him. Very proud. It's such an interesting synergy and how it all came together, his parents having such respect for the monarchy, for the Queen, and. And now he's hosting the queen's son at the White House, and he's president again. So it's just wild how everything works out in this world when you really, really think about it. And I think that's the stuff that I was taking in, because I'm not your typical reporter, I'm not your typical journalist, and I'm taking in sort of the more emotional components, the more emotional elements, and thinking this is really a full circle moment for President Trump and his entire family lineage, right, of revering the monarchy and growing up hearing about Prince Charles at the time and here we have a video. I love this video. So we are walking up the driveway, and President Trump and our first lady were waving goodbye to King Charles and Queen Camilla. They were going over to give an address to Congress. And I think they just look like such a power couple. It was such an incredible day. And I know people talk about sort of this fractured environment we have in politics. I felt like the day transpired or transcended partisan politics. Right. Whether you're Republican, Democrat, Independent, Maga, Maha, whatever. None of the above. All of the above. I think this was just such a moment to have the President of the United States and the King of England come together to discuss this partnership and an alliance that has gone back a long ways. And it's an alliance we're going to need. Right? They're our best partner, one of our best partners on the world stage. And so I thought this really transcended politics. Now I want to show you guys some of the clips we have from the tennis court. Okay, so this is from the tennis pavilion. I took these pictures and these videos. So after the military, military presentation and the President's speech out on the White House lawn, the South Lawn, we went down to the beautiful tennis pavilion. So we go down to the tennis pavilion because the Queen and our first lady are going to do an event with children about AI education and British and American history. So I took this video of them walking out. I thought they looked absolutely graceful and elegant together. And I love how there was some matching throughout the visit, which will give get to in a little bit. And so they came out and they received these presentations and got to meet these students. And the students were somehow using VR virtual reality goggles to learn about British and American history. And then the first lady put on these glasses that showed her something. And so it was really just interesting to see her interacting with the students. She obviously loves children. Most of her initiatives have to do with education, getting kids out of foster care, putting kids through school, and everything in between. And so I think everyone was just in heaven and having the best time. And I kept thinking, right, I'm standing there, you know, a few feet away, watching, God, these kids. I hope they understand and can take in this moment. It's going to be something where 10 years from now, they look back on, they'll have my videos, but they'll look back and say, wow, I talked to the first lady, the Queen of England, at the White House. You know, I think the kids were just very shook that they were even there and talking to them. But the kids were so graceful and poised as well. I'm always, you know, nervous and these sorts of things. How are the kids gonna be? Are the kids vetted? You know, how are they gonna react? Are they gonna be nervous? Are they gonna get stage fright? Because I've been to several, several events like this, and it seemed like the kids just did such a wonderful job and had the best time talking to the Queen and talking to our First Lady. And if you hear sirens, it's because I'm still in Washington, D.C. okay. There's a lot going on in the city. I'm still in Washington, D.C. but I just absolutely love this. And you can see Queen Camilla, she and the King do so much for kids. They are very passionate about children as well. Here they are on the balcony, waving, having a great time. Here are the kids with the goggles and the virtual reality goggles on. And it was just an absolutely incredible day, you know, to not just get together for a state visit, but to do something for children and young people. That's what I love. Right. The events I'm most interested in covering are ones that are impactful and have an element that, oh, this is for education. This is going to help the youth. Right. That's what really moves me. The pageantry and the pomp and circumstance are all so important and beautiful. But when you can do something to bring kids together and really talk about education across the pond, that's what I'm seated for. That is what I'm going to show up for. And so now we have to move on to the fashion. Let me take a sip of my tea. It's not royalty, but now we got to get into some of the fashion, because I know the women are going to want to know what was First Lady Melania Trump wearing? So we have the details here. Let's start with the daytime outfit from earlier. Okay. Melania Trump turned up for the festivities in a Ralph Lauren collection white silk and wool jacket and skirt. She completed the look with a wide, brimmed Eric Javits hat and Manolo Blahnik matte snakeskin pumps. So she looked absolutely incredible. And there was some coordination, whether intentional or not. I imagine it might have been intentional with Queen Camilla, because later that night, they were both wearing different shades of pink. During the day, they were wearing sort of white. And so it was very interesting to see both women. They looked incredible. But First Lady Melania Trump. I love this Ralph Lauren look. I love the hat. I felt like the hat was an homage to the past few times she's gone over to uk Right. Whether she's gone to Windsor Castle. It was also an homage to me from the inauguration. She wore that incredible hat to the inauguration that went so viral. And so I love anytime First Lady Melania Trump is in sort of a sharp hat, I think it's very strong, very, very powerful. And with everything going on in the world, I think that signal of strength and dominance is really, really great to see. And so I want to tell you guys about the evening outfit because people are going crazy on social media for the evening look. We have all the details here. Let me pull them up. Okay, so last night, here's what she wore. She wore a Christian Dior couture look, a pale pink silk strapless gown paired with off white Dior suede gloves at the White House State dinner. So she looked absolutely incredible. Of course, Queen Camilla is in a much more fuchsia, strong, strong pink look. I love Melania Trump in the pale pink. I thought it was Jackie Kennedy. It was Jackie O. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but I just loved it. And I loved the gloves and everything in between. And I thought her skin looked beautiful and her hair looked beautiful and she was tan and looked like a movie star. Right. Because she is a movie star now with that movie. But she looked incredible. So shout out to her and her stylist, Herve Pierre, who she's worked with since the first inauguration, so for about 10 years now. And so everyone looked wonderful. I will say King Charles, the President. They looked great. The event last night was white tie. So this was the first time, I believe, in 20 years they've done white tie at the White House. So it's been a long time since they've done a white tie event. They've just done black tie. And so I think a lot of men were running around Washington yesterday looking for white tie. This is the video I took of their arrivals. And you can really see the outfits out in the daylight. And it was just really, really beautiful. The first lady looked beautiful. Queen Camilla looked beautiful. The men looked incredible. And so everybody just looked strong. I was standing there 10ft away going, this is a group. This is a powerful, powerful group right here. Like, we are standing and witnessing history. And I'm the type of person who's really just taking it in. A lot of the reporters are like, all, what's the story? I gotta do this. I gotta do that. For me, I'm going, wow. I have to take this in and really take in the moment so I can tell you guys, everything that happened, and you could see how happy they were to have back. Last night for the dinner, King Charles gave this incredible address to Congress. Now, someone else I want to talk about who wears incredible outfits and kilts. We have to give our honorable mention to Lieutenant Colonel Johnny Thompson. I've been calling him Major Johnny Thompson. Some folks online say you need to call him Lieutenant Colonel. So he became a viral sensation during Queen Elizabeth II's funeral. May she rest in peace. He was her equerry for years, and now he works with King Charles and he does all of these trips. Here he is. I took this video walking into the White House with his wonderful kilt. It's like a green tartan and the red jacket. So the women love Major Johnny Thompson. And I knew that I had to get videos of him because the Internet was gonna go crazy. All the royal girls were like, we need to see Johnny Thompson. I'm like, you guys, I got out of. I got eyes on Johnny Thompson for you, okay? I'm like, I got him. I got him. So this is a video I took of them going into the White House. So shout out to Johnny Thompson. And the way the President has had some of the same people around him for decades, right? Working with him for years and years. King Charles has had people for decades and decades. You know, the family, they keep staff for life. And so it was incredible to see Johnny Thompson in person because he's someone that people in the real royal world have followed for such a long time. Now, before we end this big royal roundup, we have to talk about the actual state dinner. And so this is one of those events where my phone could not do it justice. Okay? You go into the room, there's candlelight. Every powerful, important person is in there under the sun. And I kept trying to get good pictures and videos. And I thought, you know what? You're gonna have to just take this one in. You're going to have to take this one in. But being able to be in that room, to hear King Charles speech, to hear the President's speech, and such respect that both men had for each other. I know. I joke a lot, right? I troll, I joke. I'm boisterous. It was very moving. It was very moving. And you could really see the fruits also of all the First Lady's work, how beautiful the room was and the menu and everything, the presentation that they put together. And so I want to play you guys a clip where King Charles gifts President Trump a famous bell from the HMS Trump.
Liberty Mutual Advertiser
Take a look together we can meet the challenges of an increasingly complex and contested world. And speaking of submarine alliances, there was one particular Orcas predecessor, launched from a UK shipyard in 1940. 44, that served for the majority of her life attached to the 4th Submarine Squadron in Australia, playing a critical role during the war in the Pacific. Her name, HMS Trump. So tonight, Mr. President, I am delighted to present to you as a personal gift the original bell which hung on the conning tower of your valiant namesake. May it stand as a testimony to our nation's shared history and shining future. And should you ever need to get hold of us or just give us a ring,
Link Lauren
I have to tell you, over the 18 hour day, that was probably my favorite moment. Now, next week, I'm gonna say this was my favorite moment. This was my favorite moment. But when they unveiled that bell and it was the HMS Trump, I just thought, chef's kiss. This is incredible. And I also just felt it was moving when he said, you know, if you ever need us, just give us a ring. I don't know why, after the whole day of pageantry and someone who's followed the royals for so long and followed President Trump and the first lady, and I've just really, really followed and adored these people for so long from a distance, to be in the room to see him unveil that bell. And that was a gift that was thoughtful. It was a thoughtful gift right in the past with past presidents. Okay, we're not gonna bring up Barack Obama and some of the gifts they gave out. Okay. Tacky, tacky. This is a gift that said we thought about you, we respect you, and we want to bring you something meaningful. And I think that gold bell is gonna really fit in in the Oval Office. We've added some gold to the Oval Office under this administration. I don't know if you guys have seen there's a little more gold in the O. And so I think that Belle will probably be making its way to the Oval for a little bit of time. It's really just incredible. I just felt it was such a moving moment. Everybody cheered and clapped and people were toasting. And it was really also a testament to King Charles sense of humor to bring that gift. And it wasn't just something that you could replicate. It was a meaningful gift from the UK that you could never get back. And so that concluded the night. I then went to go meet some friends and unwind and get ready to sit down with you guys this morning. But it was just a moving day, and it's such a full circle moment. For me. And I just want to say once again how grateful I am to anyone who supports me on here with the podcast, on my social media, on TikTok, Instagram, X, all of the above. Because without you guys I wouldn't be able to be in these rooms and have these opportunities. And I'm so grateful as well to this administration for being so open to new influencers and new media and people coming in who haven't ever been welcomed at political events before. And so this was just a culmination, my super bowl, everything. I have covered my two main subjects for the past 10 years. Okay, coming together in one room and it'll be interesting to see how the relationship continues with King Charles and President Trump. But we're going to pay some bills really quickly and then we'll be right back. Go grab your cereal box and check the ingredients. Refined sugar, artificial dyes, chemicals you can't even pronounce. Well, now we have to talk about Jimmy Kimmel. Every time I talk about Jimmy Kimmel I get a little bit sick to my stomach. I throw Up a little bit in my mouth, okay? Because Jimmy Kimmel has just become such a disgusting partisan hack. He doesn't even try to be balanced anymore. Hello. He doesn't even try to be balanced anymore. And he's doubling down on this horrific joke. He's calling it a joke. I thought it was a nasty, nasty call for violence where he talked about Melania Trump becoming a widow. So he's doubling down on this. He's not apologizing. ABC is not apologizing. Disney's not apologizing. The higher ups haven't said a word. Have not said a word. But my thing is this. Jimmy Kimmel would have never joked about Michelle Obama becoming a widow or Jill Biden. Never. He never would have said a darn thing, okay? He would be kissing their asses. And wasn't he probably hosting fundraisers for them. Probably hosting fundraisers raising money. That's who Jimmy Kimmel is. And so I want to play this clip from his show where he doesn't apologize at all. Take a look.
Jimmy Kimmel
A call to fire me from our first lady Melania Trump, saying I should be fired because of a joke I made again five nights ago. It was a pretend roast. I said, our first lady Melania is here. Look at her. So beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow. Which obviously was a joke about their age difference and the look of joy we see on her face every time they're together. It was a very light roast joke about the fact that he's almost 80 and she's younger than I am. It was not by any stretch of the definition a call to assassination. And they know that I've been very vocal for many years, speaking out against gun violence in particular.
Link Lauren
I am not buying it. I am not buying this pile of bs. Okay? What makes President Trump different even before the White House correspondence dinner, what makes him different from every other president? He's had multiple assassination attempts already. Thomas Crooks and Butler Pennsylvan, Ryan Ruth down on the golf course in Florida, and probably others that we don't even know about because they don't hit the mainstream media. So for Jimmy Kimmel to act like, oh, it was just a little joke about his age. Bs I call bs, okay? Half the people in Hollywood are in age gap relationships. No, no, no, no, no. The joke was about President Trump being taken out and Melania Trump becoming a widow. There's no way you can slice and dice it and lie and play a bunch of BS for me, okay? So that is exactly what Jimmy Kimmel was saying. And the fact that he doubled down tells us that those people at ABC and Disney hate you and they hate me. They hate anybody who's not part of their elite Democratic bubble, right? This elite Democratic enclave that they live in and they look down on the rest of the country, that is exactly who they are. And I want to tell you guys, as I mentioned in the last episode, Jimmy Kimmel we found online, he allegedly has 19 different writers who contribute to his show. So nothing just ends up in the teleprompter unless it's been cleared and checked by a million different people, different producers and writers and associate producers and the higher ups and legal, the legal team. So the fact that this many people working on the show hate us tells us everything we need to know, tells us why we don't need to tune into Jimmy Kimmel. And the fact is, okay, if Jimmy Kimmel said half the things he said about President Trump, about a Democrat, he would have been pulled off the air, canceled, Persona non grata, never let back into his fancy Hollywood restaurants again. That's who he is, ostracized from every house party. But because Melania Trump is married to Donald Trump and they're in a Republican administration, they're basically looked at second class citizens. You can make fun of them, you can call for violence against them. That is what Jimmy Kimmel is doing. So don't give me all of this free speech, okay? Calling for violence and making jokes about the first lady becoming a widow, okay, you can say that that falls under free speech, but it makes you a disgusting, a disgusting human being. Now, George Clooney, another Democrat elite hack, is also defending Jimmy Kimmel. So let's take a look at what George Clooney is saying and try not to gag.
George Clooney
Jimmy's a comedian. And I would argue that Caroline Levitt didn't mean shots should be fired. Right? She was making a joke. Fair enough. So I, you'll look at that side and go, well, jokes are jokes, but the, the rhetoric, I think is a little dangerous. And I, I, we've seen it a lot lately.
Link Lauren
It seems like on Saturday night there was an opportunity for a moment of unity between the press and the current administration.
George Clooney
Do you have faith that that might
Link Lauren
happen in the next couple of years?
George Clooney
I always have faith in the press. I always believe in it. I'm the son of a journalist, you know, I believe in, I also think that you're not supposed to, to have a good relationship with government. You're supposed to be questioning them. You know, the people that I Support. Right. The Democrats. I'm a Democrat. I make no apologies for it. The people that I support, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, they didn't enjoy getting, you know, chased down by reporters. You know, people in power don't like to, you know, have to answer all the questions in the world. That's fair. They shouldn't enjoy it in the report. Supporters should make sure that they hold people's feet to the fire. That's the rules. You know, that's what Jefferson talked about in 1787.
Link Lauren
We.
George Clooney
We need to be able to have a free and fair press.
Link Lauren
I've never seen such a pretentious blowhard than George Clooney so high on his own supply there. Oh, they were chased down by reporters, too. Okay? Former presidents being chased down by reporters is very different than our presidents President being chased down by gunmen. Okay? They might have been chased down by reporters asking, let's be honest, friendly questions. Obama got friendly questions. Joe Biden, they'd be like, hey, what kind of ice cream do you like, Joe? How are you today, Joe? Okay. The reporters would kiss those administration's asses. They would kiss their asses because they want to hang out with them and go to all the fancy book parties in D.C. so that's who they are. President Trump is in a totally different category, okay? There are nine out for him, as we have seen time and time again. And the White House correspondence dinner was just another notch. It was just another attempt. And thank God. Thank God he is safe and his wife is safe. And Caroline Levitt, who's nine months pregnant, is safe. But George Clooney, Jimmy Kimmel. Stop giving me all of this free speech stuff. Oh, this is free speech? Of course. I'm a First Amendment absolutist, okay? But we're also going to talk about morals and how gross you guys are as human beings. So this next story I want to touch on really quickly because it shows how these socialists in New York City look down on us and how they think. So there's this woman who's gone viral. She calls herself a socialist socialite. That's a mouthful. Here we have her here. She's got this huge Chanel bag and fur coat, and she looks like a clown. Okay? She looks like a pretentious clown. Well, she did a tweet where she made fun of Pete Hegseth's wife for wearing an affordable dress to the White House Correspondent's Dinner. She said, Pete Hegseth's wife wore a dress from TEMU to the White House Correspondent's Dinner. I'M not joking now. Her tweet has 13 million views because people are defending Mrs. Hegseth, as they should. Okay? I don't know exactly where she got the dress from. I don't really know what TEMU is, but I'm glad that an elected official and his family aren't spending inordinate amounts on clothing. I'm actually happy for that. They have kids. They're on a government salary. They're not rolling in the dough. Why does the socialist care so much about what she's wearing? This reminds me of when Hillary Clinton wore a $12,000 coat and the liberals ate it up. Hillary Clinton wore a $12,000 coat. You want to talk about misuse of funds? So you guys are reaching to find something to be angry about. But it's funny how sort of these Mom Donnie Socialist in New York City, I guess because in socialist countries, the leadership, they do wear $12,000 coats and crowns and jewels and things of that nature. And so it's very interesting to me that this woman is so upset that Jennifer Hegseth wore an affordable outfit. I thought it was a great message. Just because you're going to some fancy event, okay, you got to find something to wear. You got to pay for your kids to go to school and wear clothes and school supplies. You're not going to go spend $5,000 or $10,000 on a dress. Let Hillary Clinton do that. Okay? Let the folks who can afford to do that. But I actually gave her kudos and I loved that she wore an affordable dress. It also looked like she could move in that dress. And unfortunately they had to move because there was violence that broke out at the White House Correspondents Dinner because of these insane people on the Internet, these deranged, far left lunatics. And so I thought the dress looked beautiful. She looked glowing. They look like a great couple. Even if you don't agree with their politics, they look happy. They're out. They're having a good night. And so I don't understand tearing down a woman who's raising a family in the public eye for buying an affordable dress. So what? So what? Find something else to be angry about. But I just think the irony here that this woman. We got to pull her picture up again. This woman calls herself a socialist socialite and she's bothered. She's bothered with what Jennifer Hegseth is wearing. Have you gotten caught up in the red light mask craze, but you just don't see results? It's because those masks don't work because, well, they can't work compared to what doctors use. Most of those masks are helplessly underpowered. The red light therapy that's actually proven to work is from Light Stem. It's made in the USA and has sold over 60,000 devices to dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons and estheticians. Guessing your red light mask brand? Can't say that. Best part is this. You can actually have a light stim at home Now I have the light stem ellipsa and love it. I get the same anti aging technology my doctor uses, but right at home I could see and feel feel difference almost immediately. It's FDA proven to reduce wrinkles on the entire face. Medical grade means it works. It stimulates natural collagen and elastin production. It's totally affordable and saves a fortune and doctor visits. If you want the same medical grade technology at home that doctors use to treat wrinkles and slow aging, go to light stim spelled out light S-T-I-M.com use my code link to save 10%. Liberty Liberty. Liberty Liberty. Now this last story we have to discuss pertains to Kris Jenner and Gavin Newsome. I spoke about this on social media a week ago and when I read all of your comments, I knew we had to discuss it further here on the podcast. So the housing market is so bad in California, even Kris Jenner is struggling to sell the Kardashian family home. So there's a reason California is the number one state people are getting u hauled falls and moving out of. Okay, people are fleeing California. They don't want to live there. They don't want to pay the insane taxes. They see that the leadership doesn't care about them. Even if you are paying taxes in California, it's not like your roads are clean. The homelessness crisis is still terrible. The fire hydrants don't have water. And so we have pictures up of the Kardashian family home, and you can see all of this black tile and black toilets and everything black. There's one room that actually looked like a dungeon. There's this one bathroom we can put up that actually. Yes, this one that looked like a dungeon with the black toilet and the latch on the do. Why is there a deadbolt on the door? Maybe that's where Bruce was keeping Caitlin hidden away all those years. Maybe that's where they locked Chloe away before she had work done. I don't know. I don't know. But this house has bad juju to me. And it's sitting on the market at $13.5 million, and it's been on the market close to 500 days. Okay? When a house is sitting on the market for 500 days, it might be time to drop the price. But nobody, even people with $13 million, they would not buy this house. Why do you want a house that has this many miles on it? I don't want to sit in chairs, this furnished home that the Kardashians sat in. You know what I'm saying? I don't want to sit in this house. And so it's interesting. We're looking at the pictures now up on the screen. Some of you might love it. I imagine most of you might hate the house, but it just goes to show you, even the Kardashians are struggling to sell their home. And it's become a joke in Los Angeles because real estate agents to are going, going, why not pull it off the market? Why not drop the price? You don't actually need the money that badly. You could drop the price just to get it off your hands, because you got to pay for the pool, the taxes, the electricity, the energy, everything while it's sitting there. And so a lot of people, I think, even ones I've heard that I've gone to look at the house, they don't like it either. And when I see these bathrooms, it just looks dark and creepy. And it just shows you. Also, money can't buy you class, and it can't buy you taste, okay? Because Kris Jenner, I don't know what the hell is going on in this house, but yes, it's 13.5 million still on the market. Been on the market almost 500 days, so we'll be giving you guys updates. I want to continue to track this story. We might have to start a new ticker. Okay. A new ticker to say, like, how many days the house has been on the market. Kind of like we do a countdown, you know, every time Kris Jenner gets a new facelift or anytime she gets a new nip and tuck, we kind of do a countdown of how long it's going to take her to heal and reemerge. So this house is still sitting on the market, and I'm curious to hear what you guys think about some of those bathrooms and some of the interior design. And it's just a testament to what's going on with Gavin Newsom in California. Well, my friends, thanks for tuning in to spot on with Link. Lauren, I absolutely love you. We'll be back home soon, so we'll have better audio. We'll be back in the studio, and we'll be back to our regular programming. So I absolutely love you. Thank you guys for tuning in. Please be well. Date: April 29, 2026
Host: Link Lauren (presented by MK Media)
Link Lauren delivers a firsthand account from the historic state visit of King Charles and Queen Camilla to the White House, hosted by President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump. Link, known for his witty and unfiltered commentary, shares behind-the-scenes stories from the event, dives deep into Melania’s fashion choices, discusses the transatlantic alliance, and provides unvarnished takes on current Hollywood/media drama, including Jimmy Kimmel’s controversial joke and the ongoing saga of Kris Jenner’s unsellable LA mansion.
(Main segment, 01:03–25:55)
An Event Years in the Making
Atmosphere and Pageantry
A Touch of Humor
“She [my mother] really did love the family. But I also remember her saying very clearly, Charles, look, young Charles, he's so cute. My mother had a crush on Charles. Can you believe it?” — Donald Trump (10:06)
Emotional Reflections
Statecraft and Partnership
Children and Education Event
“The events I’m most interested in covering are ones that are impactful and have an element that, oh, this is for education. This is going to help the youth. Right. That’s what really moves me.” (17:49)
(19:20–21:18)
Daytime Look
Evening (State Dinner) Look
“She looked absolutely incredible...I loved the gloves and everything in between. And I thought her skin looked beautiful and her hair looked beautiful and she was tan and looked like a movie star. Right. Because she is a movie star now with that movie. But she looked incredible.” (20:18)
Fashion Analysis
(21:18–22:28)
King Charles gifts Trump the original bell from HMS Trump, a WWII-era British submarine—a symbol of enduring US-UK partnership.
“May it stand as a testimony to our nation’s shared history and shining future. And should you ever need to get hold of us or just give us a ring.” — King Charles (21:18)
Link’s reaction:
“When they unveiled that bell and it was the HMS Trump, I just thought, chef’s kiss. This is incredible...a gift that said we thought about you, we respect you, and we want to bring you something meaningful.” (22:28)
(26:28–31:54)
Kimmel’s ‘Widow’ Remark
Link expresses disgust at “Kimmel’s horrific joke” about Melania Trump (“expectant widow” jibe), calling it a “nasty, nasty call for violence” and highlighting his refusal to apologize (26:28).
Kimmel’s clip:
“It was a pretend roast...Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow...It was a very light roast joke about the fact that he’s almost 80 and she’s younger than I am. It was not by any stretch a call to assassination.” — Jimmy Kimmel (27:28)
Link counters:
“He’s had multiple assassination attempts already...So for Jimmy Kimmel to act like, oh, it was just a little joke about his age. BS I call BS, okay?” (28:12)
Hollywood’s Defense: George Clooney
(32:18–33:54)
‘Socialist Socialite’ Outrage
“Why does the socialist care so much about what she’s wearing? This reminds me of when Hillary Clinton wore a $12,000 coat and the liberals ate it up.” (33:25)
Comment on Violence at the Event
(37:55–End)
“Even the Kardashians are struggling to sell their home...money can’t buy you class, and it can’t buy you taste.” (38:40)
On Seeing History Unfold
“You’re at the White House, you’re watching King Charles, Queen Camilla, First Lady Melania Trump, President Trump all together... you’re just like, I gotta take this in. Okay? I have to take this in. Because this is just a once in a lifetime opportunity.” — Link Lauren (01:28)
On Royal Diplomacy
“Two men who are at the top of public life, right? Some of the most visible men on Earth coming together. Do they agree on everything all the time? No, but that’s part of free speech...” (09:37)
On Melania’s Style
“If there’s one thing we know about First Lady Melania Trump...she is meticulous about her fashion, her style, her tailoring... she doesn’t let anything slip through the cracks.” (05:05)
On Kimmel/Media Hypocrisy
“If Jimmy Kimmel said half the things he said about President Trump, about a Democrat, he would have been pulled off the air, canceled, Persona non grata, never let back into his fancy Hollywood restaurants again. That’s who he is.” (29:45)
On Kris Jenner’s House
“Why do you want a house that has this many miles on it? I don’t want to sit in chairs, this furnished home that the Kardashians sat in.” (38:23)
Link Lauren’s tone is sharp, wry, and unapologetically opinionated, mixing personal anecdotes with playful trolling, heartfelt reflection, and cultural critique. The episode offers both fine-grained details (especially in fashion and royal protocol) and sweeping, passionate commentary on the media landscape and pop culture.
If you didn’t hear the episode: Expect an immersive, personality-driven summary of an unprecedented White House event, plus candid cultural hot takes. For royal watchers and culture vultures alike, Link Lauren’s Spot On lives up to its name—direct, stylish, and definitely unfiltered.
