Janice Henderson Investors Investing in a brighter future together hi, I'm Becky Quick, co host of Squawk Box, and this is five things you need to know before today's opening bell. First up, AMD posting better than expected earnings and revenue and offering upbeat guidance. Separately, Amazon disclosed yesterday that it had sold all of its 822,000 shares in AMD. Net result that stock is off by about 5 1/2% this morning. Pinterest shares plunging after the company reported profit that was below expectations and gave weak guidance. That stock down by close to 18% this morning. And then you've got EV maker Rivian reporting a smaller than expected adjusted loss revenue at the company topping estimates. The gross profit came in at $24 million. The street had actually expected a loss of more than $38 million and as a result Rivian shares are up by 3%. Then you take a look at the stock of Papa John's. It's coming off of a 10% drop in yesterday's trading after a Reuters report said that Apollo Global has withdrawn its offer to take the pizza chain private. That stock down another 1% this morning. And President Trump has re nominated Jared Isaacman to run NASA after pulling his prior nomination months ago. Isaacman is friends with Elon Musk. Back in May, Trump pulled his nomination amid a spat with the Tesla CEO. Yesterday. Elon Musk was happy about this, tweeting out a heart emoji.
