I was born and raised in Sardinia and I still live here. I am the person behind both the Sweetly Sardinia blog and this podcast where I share practical tips to help you plan your trip and avoid the mistakes I see travelers make all the time. In this episode, we're gonna talk about one of the most important decisions. If you're visiting with kids, why should you stay in Sardinia as a family? More specifically, the best family resorts. Before we start start, make sure to check the episode description. That's where you'll find the link to the full blog post. On the blog you'll find all the resorts I mentioned with direct links so you can check availability and prices. Now let's get into it. Why choosing the right resort Matters if you're traveling with kids, your accommodation matters more than anything else. Because the wrong choice will make your trip harder and the right one will make everything easier. What you want in Sardinia Easy beach access space activities for kids. Ideally services like babysitting and kid clubs. That's exactly what family resorts are designed for. They're not just hotels, they're built to keep both kids and parents happy. Now, where should you stay? Let's start with South Sardinia, which in my opinion is one of the best areas for families. Why? There are long sandy beaches, easier access and generally better value than the north, which are my favorite family resorts in South Sardinia. Then Falkensteiner Resort in Capoboi near Villasimius. This is one of the best family resorts in the south. It's located in a protected marine area, so the setting is beautiful and relatively quiet. What makes it stand out is the range of activities for kids. Sports courses, structured programs. It's designed so kids are busy and parents can actually relax. Next Forte Village in Santa Margherita di Pula. This is probably the most famous family resorts in Sardina. And yes, it's Expensive, but it's also one of the few places where everything is taken care of. Kid clubs, sports academies, water park, entertainment. If your budget allows it, this is one of the easiest family holidays you can have. Kia Laguna, not far from the beaches of Kia, another very strong option in the south. What I like here is the balance. Great beaches, nature, lots of activities. There's also a kids focused restaurant and structure, programs from different age groups. Other resorts in the area of Costa Ri and Villasimios, which are great, which have great beaches and a family setup. This area is ideal if your priority is beach simplicity. Here. I love the free beach resort in Goserei. It's a classic family resort. What works well here are mini clubs divided by age, organized activities, direct beach access. It's one of those places where kids quickly make friends and that makes a big difference. Next, Pulmantiniama in Villa Simius. This one is a bit more upscale. It's set in a large park area with lots of space, different activities, safe environment. It works well if you want comfort without going full luxury. In north Sardinia you have bit more variety perhaps, but it's also more expensive. North Sardinia is more dramatic. There aren't as many long sandy beaches that are in the south, but lots of beautiful coves here. I recommend the Voi Colonna village in Golf Aranci. It's a solid, reliable choice. It's. It has a private beach, activities for kids, entertainment programs. It's a good all rounder if you want something straightforward. I also like Parco Tel Cala di Lepra in Palau. What makes this one stands out is the fact that you're close to La Maddalena and some of the best beaches in northern Sardinia. And at the same time you'll get kids activities, structured entertainment so you can combine exploring with relaxing. Resort Valle Delerica in Santa Teresa Galura. This is one of the top resorts in the north. It's very well set up for families with multiple pools, kids areas, activities for different age groups. It's a proper stayed inside the resort and enjoy type of place. Now if you want something that is not by the sea. Just because I like to be a bit different, this is something that not many people consider. But as I said, you don't have to stay by the beach. I love Sugo Ologone in Orleana. It's completely different. It's inland in a wild and beautiful area. What makes it interesting is the nature, the culture, the unique experiences. It's still family friendly, but in a very different way. Good if you want something less typical, more authentic, it's also quite close to the beaches. Anyways, you can be at the beach in relatively a short time, 30 minutes. And the beaches I'm talking about are the beaches of the Baune Coast. Now do you choose the right resort for you? Here's a simple way to think about it. If you want easy and stress free, you need to pick a full resort. If you want to explore, pick something a bit more flexible. Also consider the age of your kids, whether you want to move around your budget because these resorts range from mid range to very expensive. Now, common mistakes. And let's now look at what you should not do. Booking too late, focusing only on famous areas such as the Emerald coast, ignoring location, logistics and choosing a place without checking what's included. And the big one Assuming all resorts are the same, they're not. Some are very family focused, others are just family friendly, which is a big difference. Now the final takeaway I have if you're traveling with kids, a good resort can make your entire trip easier. You get stuck structure, you get convenience and less stress. And in Sardina, that really, really matters. Now, before we finish, don't forget to check the episode description. That's where you'll find the link to the full blog post. On the blog you'll find the resorts I mentioned with the red links so you can check availability, compare options and choose what works best for your trip. If you want help choosing the right area for your family, you can also book a one hour consultation with me. The link is in the episode description. In the next episode, on the other hand, we'll talk about whether you should fly into Olpia or Cagliari when traveling to Sardinia. Now if you found this helpful, share with anyone that is planning a trip to Sardinia and feel free to leave a good rating and a review. And until next week, goodbye.
