B
Hello.
A
Hola.
B
Happy Wednesday.
A
Happy Wednesday. The super bowl has happened. Bad bunny. What a performance. What a look.
C
Ariba Custom Zara Custom Zara. Yeah.
A
I did not know this, right? I've been too busy watching. Yeah, you've had a busy day actually reading things. What else did we love?
B
I loved all the celebrity cameos in the casita they were calling it. There was. Jessica Alba was in there. Alex Earle was randomly in. There was a lot of different celeb faces. Pedro Pascal was in there. There was so many familiar faces on this stage.
C
It was the ultimate fiesta and I totally wanted to be a part of it.
A
I have to say I was surprised. Lady Gaga was the surprise performance.
B
Same.
A
I was not expecting it, but she looked phenomenal and the performance was amazing. I also feel like all the clips of the Grammys and the two of them being there kind of like is resurging and everyone's loving that. But she was wearing an incredible designer who's Dominican American, Raul Lopez, who. I just thought she looked spectacular. I mean, I read an article that was like, Lady Gaga's looks now deserve a museum of their own. And I'm like, she has just turned out some of the most incredible looks. You can always count on her to look good.
B
I also liked the hair and makeup on her as well.
C
Oh, she looked beautiful. Like, just stunning and so effortless. I loved it so much. And then Ricky Martin just shaking his bonbon as well.
A
Shake her like a bonbon. Like a bonbon.
B
Maseri done her vocal warm up off mic.
C
Yeah. I don't know why.
A
Again, if we had sound effects, I wouldn't have to do these, but here we are. We're gonna get them one day and I'll be like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm. That was my chair.
B
Well, to go back to hair and makeup, that actually segues us into a different topic, which is Ryan Murphy's love story about Carolyn Bessette and JFK Jr. The criticism that came out about that we discussed on this podcast many moons ago, actually, and we were saying how the hair colour was off for Carolyn's character. The costuming was off because we'd seen very early snippets of what was being filmed.
C
Yeah.
B
And they've actually taken that feedback on board, and we've now got a trailer that has come out. Man, have they really made some changes there.
C
Right.
B
Her hair color, especially. So much better and so much more accurate.
C
Yeah.
A
So much more accurate. I'm so conflicted about this series, though, because I love Jack Schlossberg, who I believe follows shameless media on TikTok or something. And, like, I mean, if we're putting top three celebrity crushes together, like, I am all of, like, let me tell you, if you're looking for a wife, I'm looking for a Schlossberg. This podcast has just become me shooting my shot. But he is really outraged by this. And the Kennedy family is really outraged by this. I think for so many reasons. Obviously, they're depicting such personal drama, but also the depiction of them not looking like them in the first place. I feel like this is at least coming up a little bit to reflect more accurately who they were. I mean, this woman worked for Calvin Klein and is still to this day considered one of the most influential women on fashion and a style icon. Putting her in polyester or Zara. No offense to either of those things. I wear them both. But that's not a Carolyn Bessette special.
C
I'm so happy you brought that up because the wardrobe, all the fashion girlies and boys came for them. Like, I am just so impressed that they were so receptive to the feedback and took it on board. And having Rudy Martz come in and actually take over the whole wardrobing to perfect it and make it look more like 90s minimalism and just the era was so impressive. I actually read an article in Glamour magazine and they reported that Rudy actually sourced vintage looks from ebay, Etsy, Instagram, and a single collector in Canada who read it tracked down to be at CBKClothing underscore. And one of my favorite quote and one of my favorite quotes from the article was that Rudy even beat the hell out of a Birkin to mirror Bessette's own distressed bag, which I thought was so iconic. Like, they actually took it all on board.
A
I want on my tombstone, she beat the hell out of a Birkin. I used to want it to say, at least she tried. Or she gave it a red hot go, but I gave it a red hot go. She beat it. She beat the shit out of Birkin.
C
Yes.
A
My new one.
B
I'm looking forward to this series coming out. I'm definitely going to be watching same.
C
I'm so excited I actually love the teaser. I love, like, the mood and like, the kind of filmy vibe over it.
A
Yeah, I felt things in the scene that shows her measuring, felt that I'm just coming undone in every episode at this point. I'm like, I'm just being left out to roast when she's filming him, when he walks into the Calvin Klein office and like, everyone's staring at her.
C
Yes, yes, yes.
A
Yeah, I feel like I'm watching it and I'm just gonna have to say, I'm so sorry, Jack. I'll tell him I didn't when we meet.
B
All right, well, today we're discussing the subversive shoe trends that are set to dominate in 2026. We're answering an opinions, please about shower head filters. And then we'll be giving you our guide to incorporating tassels and texture into your wardrobe. But first, what are our swaps? Annika, you're in your last few weeks with us before you go on mat leave.
C
I am. Oh, my God, don't remind me. She's actually picking right now. It's quite crazy. She's so used to your guys voices that I feel like she's going to come out and be really calm around you both.
A
We just got to see pictures of her and her little nose and lips. Like, I just. I'm really sad you're not going to be here for a few weeks, but I'm really excited, so I'm like, conflicted.
C
I think I'll pop by. I think you guys will get to.
A
Hang out, I think quite often by yours quite a bit.
B
Yeah.
A
Tagged me in a video last night and it was too like, it was a mum with her little girl and she just said, forget mum, this is Auntie Mads. And they were both in leopard jackets, which I said I wanted to invest in to asap. Rocky's back out the trunk from the front to the back. And again we're doing this, but you better believe that I will be getting us all matching outfits. That's going to be Joe and my gift when she comes.
C
I can't wait. She's so ready. Speaking of fabulous people and on the topic of fashion, I actually had the pleasure of meeting Madeline Harper Farce Orce on Instagram at Australian Fashion Week last year, and she is the fashion director at Vogue usa. And this woman is undeniably so chic, like chef's kiss. Everything about her is just so polished. So like inspirational, aspirational, but I think also attainable. Like she does things in a way that you could kind of replicate at home and shop your own wardrobe, which we really love to do here.
A
Yeah.
C
And I feel like her Instagram feed is just a treasure chest if anyone needs some daily inspiration, no matter what the occasion. So give her a follow. She is definitely the definition of the ultimate fashion girly, and I just love how inspiring she is.
A
I love an account swap on our podcast. I feel like maybe we should just always have it as a rule between the three of us. One of us. Okay, I don't like rules. So actually I take that back. But I think more of them. I like them.
C
One cleaning rule, one Instagram swapping rule.
A
One thing Maddie says that is inappropriate.
C
I love those. Those are my favorites.
A
I know they are. And they. I don't mean them. And they just slip out. And that's the. Okay, my swap again, not what I said I was going to come in with. My swap is adult sleepovers. Bring back adult sleepovers. Rhiannon Joyce, my dear friend and co host of the fortnightly Friday episode of Stylish. Try saying Fortnightly Friday. Every flag, blah, blah, blah. She came to my house on Saturday night because a dear friend of theirs, it was his bucks party, they were hosting it at their home. And I said to her, there is one place you don't want to be tonight and that is at your house with a whole bunch of men who are boozy and been at the pub all day.
C
Oh yeah, good shout.
A
So Ray came over at about 3:00'. Clock. We had Tai for dinner. We might have opened one to two to three bottles of champagne. We went to sleep. I set up her skin care for her. I did a little like goody pack, like slippies, a little silk hair tie. I put an eye mask down. I know she uses rash. So I set up all rationale in the ensuite Fresh tower.
B
So it was like a brand event. She went to in your house.
A
She went to a PR event at my home with things I paid for with my money. I feel like that Taylor Swift thing when she's like, was I loud in the house that I built with my own money? Woke up in the morning to just a big lump of golden retriever George, like spoon into me like, he's not allowed on the bed. She let him. I was like. Then we went and had a coffee in the morning and we were like walking and we're like, we're swapping in adult sleepovers.
B
I like that.
A
But also, while we were on the adult sleepover, I did get sent a very special video Dedicated to me by none other than schoonerskora.
C
Wait, what?
A
Have you not seen this?
C
No.
A
Get your phone up immediately, if not sooner. I had as my word of the week on the Fortnightly app. We don't do the swap, we do word of the week and I had that. I was obsessed with the Schooner Score account and I thought it was really clever. Instagram also helps. He's like, kind of low key hot and my again.
B
She's shooting a shot.
C
Shoot that shot twice.
A
One episode, different guys. It's gonna be a tough one, okay? Like, I kind of just like wanna try and scull a beer with him. To be honest, I don't. Let's leave it there. But my girlfriend Beck met him and got him to dedicate a video to saying, hi, Madison, I've heard you're great. Love what you're doing on the stylish pod. So we got a Schooner Score, a shout out.
B
I'm obsessed with that.
C
I'm so obsessed with that.
B
I love that she got a real life cameo for you.
C
She literally.
A
And a free one. Even better. She was like, I even checked if it's all good for you to share it on socials. Good to go, babes. I was like, love you, Beck Harding. You're off the hook for every birthday gift ever needed from this point on. But there you go, we've gone global. Skoona Scora knows about us.
C
How amazing. And look in his bio. One take reviews. Searching for a 10.0. What does that mean, 10 out of 10? Was that your review?
A
He's looking for a 10 out of 10 bit. But I mean, if he's looking for a 10 out of ten, it ain't me telling him 10 out of 10 out of 10 personality.
C
Oh, my God. I'm here for it.
A
Jojo, what have you got for us?
B
My swap is a pair of slippers that I invested in the other day. I walked past the Ugg store in Emporium. So I walked past there. I needed a new pair of slippers because my skims ones have seen better days. Skims?
A
Do slippers? Yeah.
B
I've had them for maybe a couple of years.
A
News to me.
B
Yeah, Adrian bought them for me for a birthday gift or something. Oh, that's a really nice. But I wear slippers flat out. So my slippers do wear down. Like they get to a point where they actually need to go in the bin.
C
They're that bad.
A
Are you one of those people who can't be barefoot? Yep.
B
Yeah. Cannot be barefoot. Like, need to immediately as soon as I walk in the door, take off all my clothes, put my robe on and my slippers and that's how I get around my house. I cannot wear my clothes inside.
C
You are such an interesting human.
A
The layers to Joanne, you don't wear outside clothes inside.
B
No, I just can't.
A
What do you do when you get dressed for here? Like, do you take the robe off like 10 minutes before you leave when you.
B
Yep. Or I'm wearing like comfy clothes to do consultations before I come here and then I'll like do my. Yeah, I'll wear my noo news and then put my robe on to get ready. And then I take my robe off and put my clothes on. And then as soon as I get home from recording, this is coming off and it's going.
A
I bet it is. Look at Adrienne.
B
Straight off, not in a romantic way. And dressing gown goes on, slippers go on. But I got a new pair of slippers the other day and they're from the Ugg store. As soon as I walked out, Adrian decided that was the time to tell me that that was not the Ugg since 1974 brand. And this brand was actually not the Australian one. I was like, did you want to tell me that in store before I bought the non ripped on your.
A
I'm pretty sure we covered that like on one of our first episod and you're like, great, so now I'm a trader again.
B
Yeah, exactly.
C
Yeah.
B
So anyway, these are Australian made materials in these slippers. So there is Australian leather. Australian.
A
Is this to make you feel better?
B
I don't know. My next pair of Uggs in another year's time when I'm due to replenish my slippers can be from the Uggs since 1974 store. Next, we are diving into the subversive shoe trends that are dominating the conversation lately. But that'll be right after a word from today's sponsor.
A
Whether you're loved up or riding solo, let me ask you, do you celebrate Valentine's Day? It's a funny one. Talk to your partner, your bestie, your entire friendship group, and you'll probably get a million different answers. But is it possible Valentine's Day just needs a rebrand? It doesn't have to be the overpriced, over the top holiday that it's become. It can just be an opportunity to celebrate the people and relationships that mean the most to you before another year passes by. We think our friends at Michael Hill are onto something here. They believe love in all its forms should be celebrated every day and in every way. Just because romantic, platonic family and self love, it's all deserving. Maybe you rarely treat yourself. Maybe you just couldn't imagine doing life without your person. Maybe your single girlfriend deserves some love too. Or maybe someone is worth more than a quick love u text. And for those moments, there's Michael Hill Jewelry. A beautiful, meaningful keepsake for yourself or someone you want to thank this Valentine's Day. Shop Michael Hill's Valentine's Day Gift Guide in store or online now. And thank you so much to Michael Hill for making this episode as stylish possible.

Last week, while on the Wuthering Heights press tour, Margot Robbie wore a very divisive pair of shoes, the Maison Margiela tabby wedge boots. This is a style that we've discussed in the POD before, but like the the flats version of the tabbies, her shoe choice reflects a wider footwear trend. Shoes that are a little subversive but have a lot of personality. In an article last week, Refinery 29 wrote, after seasons and seasons of minimalism and quiet luxury, consumers are returning to a more expressive way of clothing themselves in 2026. And they're starting from the feet up. In the article, the CEO and founder of footwear brand Mr. Said there's a real appetite right now for dressing with more emotion and intention and less interest in things that feel disposable. It's all about balance. Soft but strong. Familiar yet a little unsettling. Traditional but rebellious. That contrast feels very honest. It's how people want to show up. Now you can be refined and strange all at once. Refinery29 pinpoints the key footwear trends for 2026 as being goth glamour shoes with a glove like fit, flat sock boots, updated PVC styles, sculptural wedges, soft sneakers, 3D petals and sharp toe mules. Are you guys drawn to any of these trends? Are you going to be wearing these?
A
Ding ding ding. We have some winners.
B
Yes, go on.
A
The sculptural wedge.
B
Oh, you've already started.
A
Duh. I'm here, I've arrived. I also loved, I believe they were custom Margot Robbie when she was wearing the black leather Vivienne Westwood mini. It was like corseted. It was a vintage Vivienne Westwood dress. And then she had these like custom. The wedge was not dissimilar to the deering shoes I've spoken about on this podcast before, where it's kind of indented wedge like the one stuffed on the back. Yeah, it was like not to, like, quote, wicked. Cause I know that was like, so 2025, but, like, it was very much defying gravity. What do you love ajs?
C
I am really into gothic glamour. Like, I mean, look at me. Just look at me.
A
Do you want to explain what you're wearing to our audience?
C
I am channeling. I was actually really wanting to channel the full brief today of the episode, but my swollen feet could not actually fit into my tabbies. Yeah, free to a good home.
A
I told you I can make a 38 work. I'm 38 and a half. 39.
C
So today I'm wearing a complete tassel top. It's actually a mini dress. It's so cute. Me and my best friend got matching for her birthday, so I got her, like the little dress and then I wore the little top and off we trot. So cute. But it's very much tasseled and fringed. I'm wearing amery pants and then a Gia Balghini pump. Is that a pump?
A
I'd call it a platform.
C
Like a let's go comfy flat form sandal. Andrew Mukamau just needs a round of applause because everything he is doing at the moment with Margot Robbie is chef's kiss. I know we spoke about it last week. I know we spoke about the method dressing and how it's just perfection. But the themes that are coming through with that kind of like, gothic Y glamoury, like architectural. Like what you were saying with the wedges. I meant her.
A
But all of the shoes have been quite interesting. Like, usually I would say a shoe in an outfit is an afterthought or it's just to complement the outfit. But these feel as much part of her outfits as this. And I wonder if we'll see more of that trickle down. Not to reference the cerulean blue sweater from the Devil Wears Prada, but, you know, everything trickles from the top, whether we like to admit it or not.
C
Yeah.
A
I wonder if we're going to see a resurgence in this. Kind of reminds me of when there were those, like, Quite crazy Alexander McQueen heels, like, you remember. You know what? Like, I want to say, like, 2008, 2009. Like, I'm thinking Lady Gaga, MTV Music Award kind of vibes. And then it trickled down to Tony Bianco. Like, I wonder if we will see some of these more interesting shapes come through in, you know, our more local brands or more accessible brands like Elias May and Tony Bianco.
C
Totally. I actually fell in love with, like, the toe trend or, like, the toe defining Trend.
A
Okay.
C
It's not a fetish promise. But like back in, I think it was 2017 when Phoebe Philo was designing for Celine, the old Celine with the accent era. There were these pirate heels that were in the 2017 collection and they were so coveted in the end, got a dupe from Jeffrey Campbell, which I actually saw are still available on Revolve today.
B
They're back.
A
They've had, like a relaunch.
C
They are so back. But I've always been into shoes. Like, that's accessory shoes because I think I wear a lot of, says the girl in a Tweety Bird fit, but minimal kind of outfits and simplistic outfits. And I love a shoe to kind of accentuate. And Dries Van Noten have actually done a really cool pair which I've thrashed. You guys have probably seen me in them. They also are toe definer.
A
Obsessed with the toe. I just don't know I could justify that personally. So if someone wants to dupe them, I'm really like, I'm okay. Or if you can find them on sale for me, even better.
C
I actually think I've seen a couple dupes come through, so definitely check out Jeffrey Campbell. Yeah. Tony B. Surely. Come on, guys. Come on. Do it for the time.
A
I feel like drinks is probably too niche.
C
Maybe Alias may. Yeah, they're a little bit more contemporary.
B
Is it Alias?
C
I've got no idea.
A
Have I been saying Elias this whole time?
B
And it's Alias as well. But I was going to say that they do the cooler trends. They take a few more risks.
A
Yeah.
B
Tony Biancos and your Bellinis in the Australian market. They have. I was looking at their new arrivals earlier today, and they've got like a pair of burgundy wool flats. They use a lot of texture. They love a bit of like a shearling, you know, with denim and things like that.
A
Yeah, they had like the sheiling sandals that were like leather at the top, but all the bottom was sheiling. I'm like, oh, my God. I would look like I'd walked through George's like, tumbleweed hair.
B
But I think they take a few more risks and they lean a little bit more into. You know, we see these high fashion brands. They are very experimental. You know, they're into the sculptural and the all of that stuff we've just discussed. But we don't often see that trickle down as much to the everyday high street brands because people aren't really buying that stuff as much as they would buy a plain nude colored stiletto yeah.
C
Example. They are a bit more avant garde, and I think that is the whole subversive shoe trend, like being a little bit more avant garde, a little bit more out there, but I can definitely see it. Did you actually know, Joe, you've got some stunning pointed silver shoes on today.
A
You're playing into this.
C
You are playing into it. Silver is trending. Silver is coming through a lot in Vibe.
A
It's also doing really well in the stock market as well. Like the price, of course, it's gonna.
C
Go back to diamond somehow.
A
Well, more expensive to get a diamond set.
B
So, you know what I will say is that shoes, I think, Mads, you were like, I don't know if I would invest in that. I know you said before you don't typically invest in shoes because you're heavy footed, but I think shoes.
A
Onions.
C
One's got heavy feet.
A
One doesn't like not having shoes on. Exactly.
B
We're all weird with our feet. So I think shoes are something that people are happy to take more risks with because you keep them for longer than a standard outfit that you would normally buy. Like a piece of apparel that you would normally buy. You keep shoes for years and years at a time. I know that I've accumulated shoes over the last decade that I still have because they're easy to kind of flow in and out of trends.
A
Yeah.
B
Some I'm like, oh, I'm never gonna wear that again. That's probably never gonna be cool again.
A
Yeah.
B
But I think it's an easy way to adopt trends and to play into them without investing a lot in, like, an entirely new wardrobe.
C
Yeah.
A
Yeah. I think it's funny. I just have never been like that with shoes. I think I love a handbag. I really do. Although I haven't bought, like, a really good handbag for some time. I think that's because I've bought well and, like, still really loved what I bought years ago. But yeah, with shoes, for me, I think you've got to have something that you're willing to go, I'm willing to get a cheapie on that thing.
C
Yeah.
A
Because I. Unless you are in a very different tax bracket. To me, you can't value everything. Even if you're like, I'm going to buy investment pieces or a few times a year, still expensive to go and buy a pair of, like, designer heels or, like, beautifully, you know, made heels.
C
Totally. I just think, you know, this is a nice one that you can dip your toe into.
A
I'll see what you do.
C
I winked. Do you see what I did.
A
Do you also love that I only referred to heels? Like there was no world in my mind that that was an investment in a flat.
C
Yeah.
A
I've actually got this bugbear at the moment because I'm really missing a sneaker. Like I know we all had like the big out of dust moment. We've had new balances sort of come in and I just feel like there's not a sneaker right now. That I'm like, I can wear that with denim and I'm really missing that. And I think at the moment, unfortunately golden goose are the only ones I do. I've got these like really cool suede and like another pairing, leather. But I just can't spend eleven hundred dollars on a sneaker.
B
I'd like to temper you with alohas.
A
Okay.
C
Well there's definitely, I think as well the ballerina kind of sneakers coming through that we're seeing a lot of. And I know I'm looking you now and I know you're hating on it, but I feel like you could get around this trend.
A
I think it's just let go of the sneaker girl and go get the tabbies.
C
Yeah, get the tabbies. Actually just do it.
A
Just sling them off.
C
I'm like dropping takes mine.
A
Yeah, I'll look after them. I promise to be light footed in them. Next we're answering an opinions please about shower head filters. But that will be right after a word from today's sponsor.
B
Even though we'd all love to lock ourselves in the bathroom for a 30 minute skincare routine, most of us don't have the time. So when we find a product that targets multiple skin concerns, it's got our attention. Medicaid's niacinamide peptides is a multi benefit serum formulated to refine pores, clear congestion, calm redness, boost radiance and smooth texture, all while supporting a healthy skin barrier for an instant visible glass like glow. Discover the new niacinamide peptides. A huge thank you to Medicaid for making this episode of stylish possible.
A
Okay, next we have opinions, please. You guys are really loving our JoJo in house skin expert aficionado extraordinaire. I loved before Joe was doing an ad read and it was like some of us wish we could have a 30 minute skin routine. I was like, you have a 30 minute.
C
No, I was like, you absolutely do though.
A
But we've had another lovely listener write in. I love when they listen and do write in. This one reads, hello, lovely stylish hosts. I don't know about you guys, but I've been seeing content about shower head filters on my socials a bit lately. I've always struggled with dry, damaged hair, and I'm curious when whether a shower head filter would make much of a difference. As a side note, I saw an online article recently that suggested that shower filters can also make a huge difference in your skin. Question mark. This is news to me, but it's honestly made me very eager to get my hands on one. Do any of you girls use one? And, Jo, I'd love your expert opinion here too. Are these really as life changing as some of the stuff I'm seeing on socials make out? How do they actually work? If all that's standing between me and the best hair and skin in my life is a filter, then I could be in the market for one. Lots of love, Chloe. Let's start from the top. Have either of you used a shower filter?
B
I don't currently have one on my shower.
C
Neither do I. No.
B
Do you have one, Madison?
A
No.
B
Okay. Question I would like to ask the room, as well as our lovely listener that has written in, is, does your skin and hair tend to improve when you're away from home?
A
No. When I go to the uk, I'm.
B
Like, well, what in the boar bristle.
A
Is on my head?
C
Oh, my gosh. Okay. So I never knew that this was a thing until I actually traveled to London and washed my hair. My hair is already coarse. It's already curly. It was so brittle and Weber.
A
Imagine the peroxide blondes.
C
I know one of my best friends, Nikki, actually, she used to always tell me how she would literally save up her pennies so she could wash her hair with Evian. And I was. I beg your pardon? I was like, she's bougie. So it was like, okay, this is like, not like that rogue for you. And then I finally got it when I traveled to the UK and I was like, oh, my gosh. And she had, like, peroxide blonde hair, so it all made sense.
B
Yeah. A lot of people would not realize this, but it's what we call hard water. So it's tap water that has a lot of concentrated minerals like magnesium and calcium in it.
C
Okay.
B
And so that's not ideal for your appliances or your pipes. Pipes or your fixtures, because limescale builds up a lot more. But in Melbourne, we don't have hard water, but Adelaide and Perth do have much harder water than we have here. A lot of other regional areas in Australia have much harder water. London. Oh, the hard water In London. Every time I see a client that's about to move to London, which is weirdly a lot of the time, I'm like, first thing you need to get.
C
Is a shower filter.
A
Oh, my gosh. Does that mean then we have like soft water?
C
Yes, yes.
B
Oh, yeah, we do. We have soft water. So does Hobart as well. Sydney and Brisbane are kind of in between that. So they. I think they kind of edge more towards harder water. But it is something that I recommend a lot to my clients. So if I have clients that are dealing with inflammation issues, dryness issues, irritation of the skin at all, that's where I will be. Like, have you thought about a shower filter or do you already have one on your shower head? A lot of people do already have them, but I recommend a brand called Filtered Beauty. They're an Australian brand. Actually, we've discussed one of the co founders before. Her name is Kim Haberly. I think her name is. She's from Perth. She's a hairdresser. She had the facelift. Oh, yes. So she's one of the co founders.
A
She was one of the young facelifts. Yes. That we were like, yes.
B
She looks phenomenal.
C
Yeah, you do.
A
You boo. I'm not here to judge.
B
She's one of the co founders of this particular brand. But it can also be very beneficial for your hair as well. So especially if you color your hair very regularly for blondes. It's amazing. So it can be worthwhile just limiting your skin's exposure to those minerals with a shower filter. And a lot of these shower filters that you can get, they just attach to a regular shower head. So it doesn't matter if you're renting or you own your house, you can still attach it to any shower head most of the time.
A
To ask a crass question. Are they expensive?
B
They can be, yeah. I think the filtered beauty one might only be like 70 bucks maybe. But I have seen ones that are more like 130.
A
Not to minimize $130 not being expensive. But like when you're going and buying professional grade shampoo and conditioner, like, that's probably like one shampoo, one conditioner and one treatment. If that's going to help your hair substantially.
B
Yeah.
A
Between appointments, it's probably a worthy investment.
C
Totally.
B
So if you live somewhere where you know the water is harder and you notice that when you travel away from where you live that your hair and skin feels better, then that could be a reason to invest in one. Now you do have to repurchase the filters like, you are meant to change them semi regularly. It depends on the brand as to how frequently you're changing them. But you can get subscriptions where they're just sending you a new one when you're due to change it over. But if you are having issues with your skin and you're dealing with an itchy scalp, or you suffer from eczema, or you always have dryness, then that could be just something that you could add in. If nothing in your skincare is changing and it's not impacting your skin, then you may as well try it.
A
I have all three of those hair issues, so.
C
Okay, we should definitely be investing in this. Like, the more I think about it, my hair just already, Like, I've noticed when I travel, especially for work, Even in the U.S. not generally New York, but other states within the U.S. have you noticed this, man?
A
Yeah, yeah.
C
Like, my hair, like, I can usually, like, wash it once every five days. I know, gross. Sorry. Some people will not be into that, but I've got to wash my hair every two to three days because it just gets more and more greasy as well. Do you think that's a sign?
B
Maybe? Yeah, I think it is.
C
I think we need the filler touches onto it. Okay.
A
I mean, now you can take your Amazon hair tool and your shower filter in the suitcase for your sage.
C
All my thangs.
B
I don't think you would want to be attaching it while you travel. If I'm being honest, it'll just be a pain in the ass.
C
Oh, yeah, maybe it's a pain in.
A
The ass worth doing that actually.
C
I know the costs are convenience for me. Like, you guys have no idea. I'll do anything because I'm such a tin pool girly just to. Yeah.
A
A task of someone to come and do it. Does that exist overseas?
B
But long answer short, I would say yes. A shower filter can be worthwhile investing in, but it's not going to be the silver bullet resolution to every skin and hair issue that you have.
C
Okay.
B
So don't expect miracles, but it could definitely aid in some way.
A
I just want you to know that when you two swap in something, I only expect miracles, so. Well, you've both recommended doing great things. Still haven't bought your Amazon hair tool, though. I will. For Coachella.
C
I know you need to get it, like, honestly report back because I think you'll be like, what in the actual. This is so good.
B
Ajs, have you bought the dog hair dissolver?
A
No, I need to read the show notes. I listen to our episodes I fast forward when I talk and just skip to when you guys talk because I like listening to that more. I kind of feel like sometimes I disassociate in here. Cause we're like so actively blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And so I like to listen to that.
B
Nice.
A
So I'll read the show notes.
C
Okay, everybody. Well, our next headline is Styling Sweet. Our guide to styling, tassels and texture. So texture plays such an important role in fashion. And I think it's something that we keep talking about and seeing more and more as we step away from quiet luxury and more into, like, I don't want to say maximal fashion because we're not quite there just yet, but I think it's where we're heading. And today we're going to go deep on styling, texture, and tassels. In particular, an article recently published by who, what where? Was titled if you want to dress like an Olsen twin. I mean, I know I do. This is the fringed fashion trend to know about. And the article called the trend carefree and glamorous. The tassel revival gained momentum in 2025 and continuing into 2026 with a trend featuring on runaways from brands like Chloe, Bottega, Veneta and Gucci. So how are you guys both seeing tassels styled at the moment? How are you both wearing them? If you are wearing them, how are you feeling?
A
What are we feeling? I saw tassels for the first. I saw the reemergence of tassels for the first time.
C
I love that.
A
At the Saint Agni show that they had here in Melbourne.
C
Yes.
A
Was very kindly invited to go and watch that. And there was so much fringing and tassel. And I loved it. I loved the different mediums that they did it in as well. I think there were a lot of, like, tops and skirts that were finished in it, but also like detachable belts.
C
Yeah.
A
Which I kind of loved because once you buy the top that's in the fringe or the tassel, you've committed to that piece. Having it in kind of a belt was something I was like, oh, that's really interesting. You've got like this beautiful plain cotton dress. I would never use plain for St. Agne. That was so offensive. I'm so sorry. St. Agne, one of my favorite Aussie brands right now. But, you know, a simple elevated cotton white dress with this sort of fringe belt, and it's a completely different look. And I love that that translates across. Where else I've seen another Australian brand is Ver Girl I actually have like a black fringy top from them that I wore to one of their events and I loved it. It's not dissimilar to kind of what you've got on now. And it's super cute because it's got like a sexy open back. But we've got to stop. I've got to stop with the sound effects. It's got a little sexy open back. It's super fun and I loved wearing that and I just wore it with a relaxed denim because that feels like most me to kind of wear it in a minimal way.
C
Yeah. Nice.
A
But I'm loving seeing it. And Annika Joshi's neither. You were wearing tassels before 2025.
C
So women tassels, you guys.
B
She's always 10 steps ahead of all of us. Let's be honest. I feel like tassels are inherently boho and so I wasn't really sure how I would have incorporated this trend into my own wardrobe. Obviously we're seeing a lot of the tasseled scarves and, you know, the tying around the waist and that's a way that you could. Could use it. I think I'm seeing a lot of it in accessories. So, like bags, I'm seeing it a lot. But I did see this coach by Boobish who I mentioned last week in last week's episode as my swap. And they did a fringed coat, like a long camel colored coat with fringing through the lapel all the way down. And I saw Jordy Zeevy, who is a creator on TikTok and Instagram. She was wearing it on a recent Euro trip that she went on and I really regretted not buying it. Actually, as I was talking, Kate just checked their website and that coat is still available. So I'm gonna go and buy that now.
C
Instant add to cart.
B
That is a way that I would wear fringing because it didn't feel boho at all. It felt really like chic and me.
C
Yeah.
B
And I wouldn't classify myself as a boho kind of person.
C
Yeah.
B
And also the way that you're wearing it now in kind of it's more texture than I would say fringing, where it's not, you know, little bits of tassel.
C
Yeah.
B
You know, floating around like on that Saint Agni, the bottom of that Saint Agnes top that we. I think it was my friend Hannah, the TikTok. Was she wearing it? The St. Agnes.
A
What isn't she wearing? She's wearing all the cool stuff. She was also wearing the Holly Worldwide top, which I was saying is a brand I'm watching, which is very literal fringe. So I think a tassel and a fringe deserve to be delineated. Yes, they're very separate.
C
Yeah, they are. I definitely think. I love that point, dro, because I think you can really lean into the trend without going all in through accessories. And actually a fellow Kiwi who I really love, Marina Ditovich, she is such a cool stylist. So she was wearing a really beautiful elongated silk scarf with like fringing at the end. And it was from a really beautiful brand, Maison Magdalena, which are doing some really beautiful curated accessories. And I think that's a really great way if you want to play with the trend but not go all out. But also to your point, Saint Agni can do no wrong at the moment. They had been releasing some insane pieces. There was like this leather skirt which I die over. It is stunning. It's got a hefty price tag because it's in leather, but it really just dressed up like a really simple contemporary look. I saw it online with like a black top and black trousers and then this white feature belt. Such a vibe. And then also Camila and Mark, I love how they're incorporating the trend but into more sophisticated silhouettes. So like, think some slouchy trousers, a really cute cropped blazer and then just on like the little lapel, the fringing or like a detachable bow as well on the pant. So there's a lot of ways people are playing into this right now. Even with the white tee. Those pants would be so cool.
A
So cool. And it's not new. And I think what I love about this trend is that you can thrift or look on ebay. There's also great brands who Camilla and Mark. I'm so glad you referenced them. A couple of years ago they were doing tassels. I know. Our very own Zara McDonald has this incredible, incredible butter lemon yellow fringe skirt that is from them. Like, get on ebay and depop, check out what's there because it's very likely that you could pick up an old season fringe that like the way that fashion trends are cycling at the moment is not going to look out of vogue for you to be wearing something from 5, 10, 20 years ago.
C
Yeah, I love that you brought that up because one of my favorite looks from the Wuthering Heights Press tour has been Margot Robbie and the Galliano the blue. And it's like the dove blue.
A
We promise we're not a Margot Robbie fan, but it's feeling like it the last two weeks, she is just wearing.
C
This stunning look, and it's from 1997. And again, fashion just been so cyclical, but it's got the bustier that's also got, like, kind of like the tassels across the top and then the matching skirt or it's like a scarf that she's just laid over. Also has the really stunning tassels on it as well. But I just love that you can thrift these kind of looks. Even just like my unsage girlies that in New York right now, and I've sent them to the real real, and it's like one of my favorite treasure chests, because you just go kind of like, shopping and sifting through everything to find these pieces, and I'm like, anything from that era, get it for me.
A
I love that you're like, yeah, you can go thrifting for 1997. John Galley.
B
Find it at your local salvos or something very specific.
A
Well, I think we can round it out there. We're gonna flirt with a bit of fringe and tassel. Jo's even found a way in, no doubt, via the color wheel. Although we need to talk about the fact before we finish up this app that you wore a red dress recently.
B
I know that it was actually in palette.
A
Is red in your palette? Yeah, I just have a golden theory. I'm sorry, blondes. I'm gonna go brunette brigade here. But brunettes look better in red, and I say that blondes because you get, like, 80% of the colors.
C
That's true.
A
You get every pastel that's ever existed. We get red.
B
Yeah.
A
Let us have it.
B
Yeah. Red is actually in my palette. I thought it wasn't, and then I went back because so many people complimented that outfit. I was like, that has to be a palette. It just has to be.
C
You really looked insane. Like, you looked so, so spicy.
B
Thank you.
C
I loved it.
B
I'm going to get around red more often.
A
I might have said. I think I said top three looks, which, given you just got married and wore two dresses, that would mean that is the hottest.
B
I might have to invest in a Madison Sullivan Thorpe inspired red sweater.
A
