When a series of robberies occur the local police force bring in the Spiritual Investigator Saul Pilkinghorne as a consultant. The robbers are dressed as witches and with their wands are able to put a spell on their victims to mesmerise them into handing over the money. Saul works with Detective Harvey in finding out who these witches are and to find a way to capture them. The plot involves Saul having to investigate the pagan community, how he has to contend with people who believe in magic as well as a local community that fears people that are different and a police detective who just wants a simple life. Detective Harvey is an overweight lazy detective who sees everything in black and white terms, yet he wants to make that ‘big arrest’ that will bring him prominence in his department. Belinda and Lucy Crowe are cousins involved in a witches’ coven using their magical powers to commit robberies for money and the thrill of the ride. Saul Pilkinghorne investigates and soon realises it is not magic that the cousins have but they are being driven by a demonic entity. The book follows Saul as he investigates these crimes having to interview the pagan community, dealing with the sluggish Detective Harvey whilst also contending with the demons that possess most people he encounters. The show down is between the dark forces of black magic and the power of the Christ as Saul takes on the power of the witch. This is a story about magic, faith and demonic entities that drive people to do crazy things.... The Golden Dawn system was based on hierarchy and initiation, similar to Masonic lodges; however, women were admitted on an equal basis with men. The "Golden Dawn" was the first of three Orders, although all three are often collectively referred to as the "Golden Dawn". The First Order taught esoteric philosophy based on the Hermetic Qabalah and personal development through study and awareness of the four classical elements, as well as the basics of astrology, tarot divination, and geomancy. The Second or Inner Order, the Rosae Rubeae et Aureae Crucis, taught magic, including scrying, astral travel, and alchemy. Who knows what they really mean?!!🔥🔥🔥 In the late 1700s, a nightmare was defined as a “disease when a man in his sleep supposes he has a great weight laying upon him.” Nightmares can arise for a number of reasons—stress, anxiety, irregular sleep, medications, mental health disorders—but perhaps the most studied cause is post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Nightmares are a common complaint among people suffering from PTSD and, in fact, are one of the criteria used for the diagnosis of the disorder. A University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine study, published in 2009 in "Sleep Medicine Clinics," found that 80 percent of people experiencing PTSD have frequent nightmares. A 1998 study that analyzed data from the National Vietnam Veterans Readjustment Study found that regular nightmares were reported by 52 percent of combat veterans but only by 3 percent of civilian participants. Not only are nightmares more common in those with PTSD, they are more frequent, sometimes occurring several times a week. Post-traumatic nightmares often involve elements similar to the trauma itself, according to the National Center for PTSD of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. About half of the people who have nightmares after a traumatic event have nightmares that replay the trauma. Those with PTSD are much more likely to have exact replays of their trauma. Doc delivers Utter Fascination from start till end...💣💣💣&🔥🔥🔥 The prehistoric Adena culture developed with the beginnings of horticulture about 2,500 years ago within the Ohio River Valley and along major tributaries such as the Kanawha, Scioto, and Kentucky rivers. This was the time known to archeologists as the Early Woodland Period, and the Adena culture continued to the end of the Early Woodland, about 200 BC. The Adena were mound builders, best known for the burial mounds that still stand today at places in West Virginia and the neighboring region. The Adena culture was named for the Adena Estate near Chilicothe, Ohio, the location of a major Adena-era mound. The Adena were among the most important prehistoric peoples to occupy present West Virginia. The word refers to a culture rather than to a particular ethnic group. The archeological evidence suggests that many language or ethnic groups made the artifacts that today we recognize as part of the widespread Adena culture. The Adena were characterized by widespread trade and the use of exotic artifacts from distant places in complex burial rituals involving mound building and geometric earthworks. People of the Adena culture left their enduring mark on the region with these works. Major examples survive today at Moundsville, South Charleston, and other places in West Virginia. Evidence for long-distance trading among people at this early period comes from the excavation of the many burial mounds that dot the valleys and river confluences of the Ohio River watershed. Navigable rivers connected isolated villages into trade networks that moved artifacts from their sources in the Gulf Coast (marine shell), Upper Midwest (copper), and Appalachian (mica, ceramics) regions to communities throughout present southwestern West Virginia, northern Kentucky, and southern Ohio. Items such as stone pipes, copper gorgets, bracelets, finger rings, and pieces of mica fashioned into headdress or hair ornaments have been recovered throughout the area. These early mound builders were the ancestors of the Hopewell Indians who also developed extensive exchange about 300 years later in much the same region. The reasons for the decline of both trade networks are unknown. Analysis of the stylistic decoration of Adena artifacts has not revealed any apparent connection to any modern Indian groups. Population movements after the end of the Adena period into and out of the Ohio River Valley during the last 2,000 years have obscured any possible ethnic or genetic connections to American Indians of the later period. Graduates pursue double higher education while they serve in the army, and they use their expertise to further IDF research and development in technological leadership positions. The program was inaugurated in 1979. The initiators of the program were Professor Felix Dothan and Professor Shaul Yatziv of the Hebrew University, who submitted the idea to the Israeli chief of staff Rafael Eitan. The idea was to harness human creativity, which peaks early,[citation needed] to develop new technologies for the army. The program is sponsored by the Israeli Air Force and IDF Administration for the Development of Weapons and the Technological Industry, and run under the auspices of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. During their initiation period, the cadets study for their B.Sc. in physics and mathematics (some of them in computer science – according to their choice) at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in Air Force uniform, while also undergoing different periods of field training designed to familiarize them with all branches of the IDF (infantry level 04 basic training, combat engineering course, armored corps course, artillery corps course, instruction in military tactics etc.). At the end of the course, which lasts 40 months, the cadets receive the rank of first lieutenant (segen) and a B.Sc. and become integrated in R&D in the IDF and Israel Military Industries, or alternatively, in various combat positions, if they so choose. In addition to the three years obligated by the Israeli law, the service includes six years of standing army service in a wide variety of positions. The total program, including military service, is nine years. The first class had 25 cadets. Later, the class was increased to 50–60. The applicant pool consists of nearly ten-thousand top scorers in a test taken by all graduating high school seniors. 150–200 potential applicants are then subjected to a two-day series of tests. These include further IQ exams, as well as group-tasks designed to test one's social dynamics, all conducted under the supervision of trained psychologists and military personnel. For example, teams of applicants are given a specific task then the instructions are changed while the test is in progress, such as shortening the allotted time or changing the assigned tasks. Final acceptance into the program entails a high security clearance rating, given by the Air Force.
