Hey, Susie, Spring is in the air.
B
It most certainly is, my dear. And listen, everybody, you should all spring into action if, in fact, you're looking for a home equity line of credit. If you have a home equity line of credit at a high interest rate, check out the Ultimate Opportunity Home Equity line of credit at Alliant Credit Union. Go to myalliant.com and look for all the details right there. April 9, 2026. You know, KT, I keep saying August instead of April. Why do I keep doing that?
A
Because they start with A's.
B
Is that what's happening to me?
A
Yeah, that's all.
B
Do you know how many times I've started something and I've said August? Susie, it is April. Is anything happening in August that I want it to be? August?
A
It's Colo's birthday.
B
Oh, that might be it.
A
Anyway, we like August, but we're in April, which is still spring. And I love spring. You do.
B
So let's spring into action. Welcome, everybody, to the Women in Money podcast.
A
And everyone's smart enough to listen.
B
And this is the Ask KTN Susie Anything podcast. And if you have a question for us, just send it in to Ask Susie. S U, Z E. Do you think they know how to spell my name by now? Anyway, asksUSIPodcastmail.com and if KT picks it or we will answer it on this podcast. However, the markets have given us some relief.
A
It's a crazy week, wasn't it?
B
It's a crazy week. But, everybody, I just want you to listen to me. Just because one day up, one day down, whatever, all based on what's happening over in Iran. We can't control what's happening over there, so just go slowly. But today, today's podcast, honestly, is about what you can control, what you can do to protect your entire financial universe. So that's what today's podcast is all about. Take out your Suzy notebooks and get ready, because this podcast, I have to tell you, K.T. and I have been working on what we're going to talk about today for about two years. So I want you to take this very seriously. I want you to take notes, and I really want you to take action. All right? Now, as many of you know, for a few years now, people have been pretending to be me. You see them on Facebook, you see them all over the place, using my face, my voice, creating videos, even posting on the Women and Money community app. And so many of you are writing in, and you're asking me, susie, is this real? Is this really you even Katie, do you know, when we send out something that's real, people are like, is this really you?
A
And we get these messages all the time. It's not going away. It's actually getting worse.
B
And the truth is that it breaks our hearts because the websites, kt, that are letting people do this, do you think they would help us? No. They do absolutely nothing. So I have to hire a lawyer. The lawyer writes, they take it down and they put it right back up. So there's no way I can control what scammers are doing. And that's why what we're talking about today, really KT matters so much. Financial scams. And I have to tell you, today you are finally going to hear about a solution that makes sense. Because scams today are sophisticated, they are targeted, and they are designed to make you feel completely safe when the fact of the matter is it's anything but safe.
A
Susie actually saw this writing on the wall a while ago. And that's why we started developing and working on ways to protect your money from scammers.
B
Yeah. And what we've created really is called the ultimate scam protection. And we created it with Nord. And I want you to understand this is not something that I put my name on lightly. This truly everybody was built to solve the real problem. And Nord, you've seen them. They're not a fly by night company. They're always on tv. They're there to protect you. They are a great company. But actually, truthfully, more important, they are great people.
A
Really great people. We spend a lot of time working on this. Tell them why this program is different from all the other things you see out there and why you want to
B
remember kt, There was an identity theft program that approached us a few years ago. They were willing to pay us a few million dollars. Do you remember that? If we would just tell everybody about it. I spent time talking to them. I went, I'm not doing this.
A
And she said, I'm not doing this.
B
I'm not doing this, kt. And I'll only do this with Nord if they put in the protection that I really think people need. Let me just tell you a little bit about it and why this is different than all the other programs out there. Now, the other programs, and we do this as well, they will monitor the dark web. So if your Social Security number is stolen, your email, your phone numbers are out there, it will be brought to your attention. So it gives you the real time alerts just like all the other programs. And yes, it also listen Closely, it will help restore your identity. Okay, but for me, that was never enough. Because it's not about just restoring your identity. It's about what happens when you lose money.
A
Yeah, that's the part that matters, Susie. Like people, this is insurance.
B
So unlike other programs, here's where this one really takes flight. If you lose money, let's just say you make a mistake, you push a button when you didn't know you should push a button or whatever it is. You can recover up to $100,000 for online scams. And that's truly where almost all the scams begin. Alerts, don't get your money back. Monitoring does not make you whole again. This program does.
A
So I'm like the perfect example of someone that needs this. And I get things all the time. I'm, I'm constantly saying, susie, do you know this person? Is this a real invitation? Should I click on this? And she looks at me, she yells across the room over and over again, katie, delete, delete, delete. Because I'm constantly getting scam attacks.
B
Yeah, like you think this can happen to you? It ha. It could happen to Katie almost every single day. Everybody. And you know, most of you are like KT more than you're like me. Tell them what happened the other day to you, Katie.
A
We have a great friend who's a very, very well known actress and we hadn't heard from her in a couple months. We've all been busy. So I said, susie, I just got an invite from our friend. So. And so. And I said, did you get one too?
B
And I said, no, but just be careful, let me look at it. And yes, it was her email. So we clicked on it. When we clicked on it, it looked like one of those invites that open up, but this time it asked for a password. It had KT's email address, and under it it said, put in your password. I said, stop.
A
She said, delete, delete.
B
I said, delete it. We deleted it. And sure enough, the next day, the next day we get a real email from this woman saying, sorry, everybody, I've been compromised.
A
I'm so sorry. Please change your passwords, especially Google passwords. I mean, it was. And I said, wow, that is a serious scam. They had her real email.
B
Yeah, but here's the thing. This happens to KT at least once a week. At least once a week. And I keep saying, don't, don't, don't. Now I want you to think about this. What if I wasn't around? What if KT was all by herself, like maybe a lot of you are. And you just, you know how many times she would have been scammed already. Kt, recently we got an email from somebody and I want you to read it from Betty.
A
Let's share it. Can we share it?
B
We can share it, of course. But here's what I want you to understand. The reason why we actually did the ultimate scam protection is because of all the emails over the years now we have gotten from many of you way back to many of you saying, this happened to me, that happened to me. This is an email that we recently got.
A
Yeah, this one we just got.
B
So kt, read it to everybody, because if you think this can't happen to somebody, you know, I'm here to tell you it happens to more people than you have any idea. Go for it, Katie.
A
So this email we got very recently from Betty in the subject area, the reason I picked it, it said, husband is being scammed and doesn't believe it. So this is a husband. Usually it's a widow, but ready, help, help, help. And sound the alarm. Married, but amicably separated. Both 72 years old. Both have separate and mutual bank accounts and a healthy stock portfolio. So Betty wrote to Susie, while separated, my husband opened a few dating sites and the scammers plucked him immediately. He says he met someone a few months ago and was set to go meet her on a date 100 miles away. He showed up, but she didn't, saying she had a family emergency and wondered if he could send her some money to help her daughter get out of the hospital. That's where everything started to get worse. He said he could certainly help her. What does she need? She says if he could just send a couple of gift cards, that would be helpful. Just scratch off the numbers on back and send me a picture of it and I can cash it. From there, he sent her a $500 Apple gift card. So it goes. You can imagine that wasn't the end of it. She managed to talk him into sending more and more with the promise of meeting up. So he kept in touch, all in Texas. Never in person, never a phone call. Thousands of dollars later, he's been scooped up into other people connecting by the dating sites. Very friendly and always asking for help. His family and I have been researching all the things that we can do to possibly protect us and him from getting extorted further, but he doesn't believe he's being scammed. He continues to keep sending gift cards to certain addresses. Ready for this, Susie? Now, as well as wiring Money and tapping into our mutual account. This has been going on now for almost a year. And this is where Betty's really nervous. She said through the tune of at least $50,000. Susie, my message and comment is hoping that you can pass this on to your listeners of all ages. All the banks and companies say it's unlikely he'll get his money back from anybody. But just to let everyone know, the gift card scam is very common, hard to trace and hard to recover. The elderly are perfectly ripe for the picking. Susie, if you have any words of wisdom to share with me and your listeners, I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much. I've loved listening to you for the last 20 years.
B
So that's probably why she's separated. But anyway, she wasn't smart enough to separate all their money. Just so you know. I answered Betty. I told her exactly what she needs to do in her particular situation. However, what can you do now? What could Betty have done to have gotten the money back if she had gotten the ultimate scam protection, Just that simple for her husband, for herself, whatever it was, because this started online, she could have gotten back up to $100,000. So the money, the $50,000 or whatever it is that her husband has lost could have been restored.
A
Now, wait, can you just tell people where to get this?
B
Yeah. Are you ready to go there right now?
A
No, no, no. But everyone's listening to us. But we're not even telling them where to get the program. And I want you to summarize everything again, but tell them where to get it.
B
I want all of you to go simply to my website, susiorman.com. think you could do that? And look right there, you will see the ultimate scam protection banner. Just click on it and it will take you exactly to where you need to go. This is something that KT and I developed especially for all of you because it has everything in it that I want you to have and that I know you need to have. And so since we're going there right now, let me just tell you a little bit about is $95.88. You just need to know that.
A
And that's for one year.
B
For one year. And you have to pay it all at once. What that breaks down to is about $8 a month. No, I'm serious, KT, do you think $8 a month or all at once? 95.88 is worth possibly protecting up to $100,000 in actual money that you would be paid back if you were scammed online? So I just want to tell everybody again what's involved in this program. All right? Now, obviously, it has dark web monitoring. It has real time alerts. It has, by the way, credit freeze assistance. Now, you know how I've said to you over all these years, freeze your credit? And you go, I don't know how to do that. Well, this will help you freeze your credit and unfreeze your credit. Or when in fact, you want to apply for a credit, it has something that I love, that I did this just for kt, because let's say I'm not around. Seriously, I'm on vacation without you. How could I do that? Never would. However, she gets an email. She's not sure is it a scam or not. She could send it into NORD and they will verify. Is it a scam or is it not?
A
I've already done. I've already done that.
B
Yeah, because we both have this, by the way.
A
Yeah, I have. I've had it for a month now. Right?
B
We have been testing this. Everybody who writes into me, seriously, I send it to Camille at nord, who I love more than life itself, and they verify for me. Would this be covered by this program? One was a Medicare scam. One was this, one was that. And she comes back and says, yes, yes, yes. She also comes back and says, no, this isn't covered because it did not start online. But I want you to think about this, everybody. Most scams start online. They come to you through AI. They come to you through the Women and Money app. They come to you online. So that's why the online portion really, really matters. So Besides scam verification, KT, they will provide up to 1, $100,000 of expenses to recover your identity. But more important than that, everybody, is that they will give you up to $100,000 back if you lost money on an online scam.
A
So, Susie, what's the difference between restoring your identity and getting $100,000 back for lost money?
B
I love that you asked that question. Most of the other programs, and all of you have seen this, tell you that they're going to give you up to 1 million or 2 million dollars to restore your identity. Restoring your identity, KT, doesn't help that if you lost money, they're just simply making sure you have your identity back. But here's the thing. It doesn't usually cost more than $10,000 to do that. And so many people are making.
A
So it's like a. Come on.
B
In my opinion, it is.
A
You don't get that money. Some company uses it to give you your identity back. You don't get money, you don't get. You don't get a million dollars.
B
No, you don't. But given that I've done research, and I know that it only costs maybe $10,000 to restore your identity in most cases, all right? Nord will spend up to $100,000 to restore your identity. But here is what makes this program different. Listen up, everybody. If you lost money to an online scam, you can get up to $100,000 if this scam started online.
A
And that alone is what's different with this program and all the others.
B
Right? And that is why we did this. So we're doing this to protect you. We're doing this to protect ourselves. By the way, I'm definitely doing. It's okay. T is protected. And therefore our money is protected up to that amount. So that's why we have done this. And I am asking you, I haven't asked much of you over all these years, but I am asking you to go to susie orman.com, look for the little banner that says Ultimate Scam Protection and click it right there. And I hope you decide to do this, because I want all of us to be protected against professional scammers that are so much smarter than you, KT and me. So can you just do that? What do you want to say, kt,
A
is that this way I won't get all these emails saying, susie, is this real? I'm getting so many, everybody.
B
But I just have to say something. I have worked so hard over the past 40 years to really make sure that you're protected with your money. You're okay with it, you've invested it wisely, you've done this, your home, all of these things. And then enters professional scamming, artificial intelligence. All of these things. So what could I have done to make sure that that part of your life is protected? I could have done and I did with kt. The ultimate scam protection. Just that simple.
A
Wait, Susie, don't forget. Tell them about the webinar.
B
I forget everything these days.

Free. Come on, don't miss this webinar.
B
Yeah. It's been a year now, and now I have things that I want to share.
A
And can I just add one more thing, Susie?
B
No.
A
If you have a scam experience or story to share, send it to me. Write in and send it to me because I'd like to start collecting them, reading them, and I want to continue to keep sharing them with Nord and let them know.
B
And I just have to say this. I swear to God this is true. So I have my little phone by me just to make sure that everything is how it should be. And I just got an email saying, don't open this. It's a scam. I swear to God that's true. So because I got something, I went, oh. And I just thought, all right, I just got that email. I am not lying to you. Anyway. All right, everybody, that's our podcast for today.
A
Again, stay protected.
B
You can do this. I want all of you to do this. You need to do it. But until Sunday for Susie School, there's only one thing that we want you to remember.
