JP Meldrum interviews Jordan Castro, author of The Novelist. The Novelist: A Novel pays tribute to Nicholson Baker’s The Mezzanine and Thomas Bernhard’s Woodcutters, but in the end is a wholly original novel about language and consciousness, the internet and social media, and addiction and recovery.

JP talks to legendary violinist and singer Sudan Archives, just before their show at Sled Island, 2022.

JP talks with the legendary Bif Naked, talking about music, generational gaps, hippies, and more.

Zane Coppard's new album "A Solar Flair" is kicking JP's ass. A beautiful, thoughtful, walkerian record. JP and Zane chat about pop sensibilities, automatic writing, the esoteric influence of hip hop, and more.

Michaela Slinger is a singer-songwriter from BC, hot off the release of her debut album "Panorama" on 604 Records". We talk about the dynamic approach and genre-fluid nature of her music, the pacific northwest, her writing process and overarching themes, and more.

The awesome Nick Gibas of Bent Window Records joins JP for length conversation about challenging tunes, music taste, cassette culture, Cannibal Corpse, his rich musical history and more. Check out some of the sweet experimental offerings on Bent Window's Bandcamp and maybe, just maybe, cop yourself a tape or two

JP sits down with Sarah Houston, a classical composer and pianist based in Calgary. JP had a great chat with about her new record "In Time", teaching music, post-rock, and much more.NOTE: The first few seconds of audio is slightly glitchy, apologies! It corrects itself quickly.

Chase Atlantic, the Australia-born and Los Angeles-based hard-to-musically-define trio, got to chat with two of the lads from Chase Atlantic about their progression, weed, and production.

I had the splendid privilege to have a quick chat with Mark from Epica, a Dutch Symphonic Metal band, about life as a creative, happiness, and a bit about their new album "Omega" out now!

A talk with White Suns, "antirock" musicians with multiple projects. A talk with White Suns, "antirock" musicians with multiple projects. White Suns rock. They had two new albums out on Jan. 15th "The Lower Way" and "Modern Preserve" (which these guys never corrected me on god bless em!). We shoot the absolute shit about the nature of making confrontational music, have a laugh, they tell me some tour stories, and talk about formative music listening. I've been listening to these guys for the last 8 years and haven't lost interest whatsoever. A rewarding band to follow, and one that will never leave my musical DNA. A fucking treat.
