English Speaking Truckers Only. Trucking has a big problem. That problem is, many truckers can't speak English language. For the past few years, truck drivers have been complaining about the non-english-speaking truckers on the road. Why is it a problem you ask? Where do I start? First off, just reading the road signs can result in a problem if you can not read them. Just recently, President Donald J. Trump signed an executive order, stating that all truck drivers in the Inited States must be able to read and write the English language. In fact, if a driver is pulled over or into a weigh station and is not able, to demonstrate reading and writing the English language, he/she can be put out of service. So watch out if you are in America and can't read. You may just lose your CDL. Has FMCSA Really Made Roads Safer? Check out these stats. 1975 4305 deaths involving large trucks, 1976 4893, 1992 4422, 2002 4846, 2021 4714, so it does not appear to have changed much. With all the regulations, you would think the numbers would decline every year. The new regulation to hit the market are "speed limiters". It is unclear if and when this will start but it is heating up for debate. Many claim that it will make the roads unsafer. Putting over 3 million large trucks on the road, at a slower speed than cars, is a recipe for rear end collisions. We will see how this plays out. Has FMCSA Really Made Roads Safer? Can the FMCSA be this Dumb. The FMCSA is asking questions about the autonomous industry. They want the publics opinion on certain questions. Questions like, should a remote driver be subject to drug screen testing? LOL, my answer is, DUH! I mean what kind of question are they asking? I mean, why would you not drug screen anyone that is in charge of the motion of a big rig?
