Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening and welcome to the Tangle Podcast, the place we get views from across the political spectrum, some independent thinking, and a little bit of my take. I'm your host, Isaac Sowell, and today we have a special Friday edition for you guys, a premium podcast. And this one is an interview that I conducted earlier this week that I found pretty interesting. The person I sat down with is named Ken Block and you may not know him, but you probably should. He had a pretty interesting role in the 2020 election. He was hired by the Trump campaign shortly after the 2020 election to investigate allegations of voter fraud. He is an expert in the space, an expert in data analysis. He's somebody who got into the field after running for office in Rhode island and wanting to figure out how he lost, did a deep dive on all the voter data and the results in his election and discovered some interesting things. And this sort of propelled him into this world where he was somebody considered as a voter fraud and election fraud expert. And I came across his work because of a book he recently wrote called Disproven that tells the story of his experience trying to find election fraud in 2020 as a paid consultant for the Trump campaign. It's a fascinating book. I'm going to let Ken share in his own words what happened and how things turned out. But I think you guys will appreciate this interview. I think he's a very interesting and open minded person who, in my views, has a story that should be told to the American public. And so I'm sharing it with you guys today exclusively right here on Tang. So with that, here is my interview with Ken Block. This interview, by the way, was conducted earlier this week. So you'll hear at the end, Ken actually makes a prediction about the 2024 election. Hasn't aged great, but I didn't want to cut it either because, you know, it's a fun last part of the episode. Hope you guys enjoy. Thanks.
Ken Block
Ken Block, welcome to the show. Thanks so much for being here.
Thanks for having me. I appreciate it.
So you have a fascinating story, and I want to maybe start with how you ended up doing some of the investigations into claims of the 2020 Election Fraud and how you came to be employed by former President Donald Trump.
Yeah, well, I can tell you how it happened, but I can't tell you why it happened. I was sitting literally on the back porch with my family the day after the election. It was late afternoon, and my cell phone rang with a number from D.C. that I didn't recognize. It was a Trump campaign lawyer named Alex Cannon who blasted right through the pleasantries and said, listen, we're told you're the guy and we want you to come help us see if you can find voter fraud in the election. And that was more or less the extent of the conversation. And I guess my mouth was hanging wide open after I hung up, and my family, my daughter and wife were like, well, what's that? And I explained to them and we went back and forth a bit and I got clearance from them that they were okay with me doing the work. And so I called Alex back the next day and we had a quick negotiation over just terms, and off we went, trying to figure out if there were enough dead votes and duplicate votes in the swing states to have interfered with the results of any of those elections.
So tell me a little bit about your background in Rhode island and why you think the Trump campaign viewed you as an expert and how you had the skillset to actually perform some of this work.
Yeah. So I own a software engineering business and what we do large database applications. My team was the prime vendor for the state of Texas for their food stamp system, which is called the Lone Star Card System. Just to give you a flavor of the types of systems that we do. I personally developed an expertise in voter data and dragged my company along with me after the 2014 gubernatorial race in Rhode island where I was the Republican a Republican candidate for governor.
