Namaste. Let the attention come to the breath taking a nice full in breath, filling the chest and the lungs and a slow out breath. Be aware of the sensations of releasing the breath and again inhale deeply, filling the chest and lungs. Slow out breath. Feel the sensations of releasing, relaxing outward and letting go one more time. Now inhale deeply, slow out breath, letting go, letting go. And then as the breath resumes in its natural rhythm, sense a continued relaxing with the breath, letting yourself feel the breath in the area of the heart. Part of the way we begin a meditation is to sense our aspiration, our intention for being here. So take a moment to listen inwardly and sense what is it that really brings you to practice right this moment? What matters to you? Be aware of your body breathing and see if you can feel from the inside out the area of the brows behind the eyes. It might soften the eyes. Let the brow be smooth. You might let the outside corners of the eyes feel a sort of uplift a smiling into the eyes. Just feel a sense of space and aliveness in that region of the eyes and the brow. Let the awareness fill the mouth. You might have a slight smile at the mouth, relaxing the tongue. Let it fill the lower jaw. Feeling the sensations, the gums, the teeth, the lips. You might imagine and sense the throat filling the neck. You can even imagine visualize a curve of a smile there. Just sense the space and aliveness that fills the neck. Smiling into the heart, visualizing and sensing the curve of a smile spreading through the heart. Not to cover over but to really sense the space that's there for whatever you're experiencing. Feel the aliveness, the openness, the energy in the area of the heart. Imagining and sensing that field around the heart, widening and widening so that the shoulders can very naturally relax a bit back and down pulling away from the neck. Let the awareness fill the shoulders and sense whatever tightness or tension might be there can just float in that awareness. Untangle naturally. Let the hands rest in a very easy way, very effortless way. You might sense the possibility of softening the hands and feeling the aliveness inside the hands, the Tingling and vibrating. That's there again, feeling the chest and let there be an openness to the chest. And then scanning down to the abdominal area, you might imagine and visualize and sense a smile spreading through the navel area. Let the breath be received in a softening belly, sensing the space and aliveness inside the belly. Scanning down to the pelvic region. And again sensing that curve and that receptivity of a smile spreading through the pelvic area, helping to connect you with a sense of aliveness, openness right down to the base of the spine, the perineum again, that curve and sense of a smile. Feel the aliveness and the energy and the openness that's there. By paying attention in this way, you're actually waking up. What are called the chakras, the most basic energy centers, intersections of energy that run through the body up the spine. You might sense the earth energy beneath you and around you, just pouring into the body. So you can kind of feel it at the base of the spine. Aliveness, energy, just let it flow into you. Feel that spaciousness and awakeness flowing up through the pelvic region, genitals breathing deep into the body, Sensing that energy that's there, letting flow up, sensing in the navel area again, that openness and aliveness up to the heart. Open space filled with aliveness, a radiant kind of energy. The throat again, if it helps to visualize a smile and sensing space, like a black hole with radiance illumination spreading in all directions. And then at the brow, the third eye between the eyebrows. Space and aliveness. The top of the head moving outward and outward. Imagine like a great spray or fountain that radiates outward and then can come down falling like rain again at the brow. Smile. Sense the between the eyes, a sense of space and aliveness. The throat, sensing the smile there, space and aliveness. And then the heart again smiling into the heart, resting the heart. You might sense the heart as wide as the world. Vast space, radiant energy. Just rest in that heart space. Sense the presence. It's here. Tender, bright, awake, open. Sense how this tender open heart space experiences moment to moment, changing life. You'll notice at some point that the mind drifts from this energetic openness back into thinking, which is quite natural. You can reopen your attention back to aliveness by again scanning through the body, gently relaxing at the brow, sensing the smile there and the aliveness there. You can sense a smile at the heart. It's this whole body breathing, filled with energy, aliveness, light. Relax back again into that open hearted awareness. As wide as the world that's receiving this moment to moment life. No matter how often the mind drifts, all that really matters is the quality of heart in the way you come back to come back with interest and friendliness to this moment. And then you plant those seeds for whatever else arises bringing yourself back over and over. This training on coming home just sense coming home again to feel the aliveness that's right here in this moment. Perhaps re relaxing a little, letting go, sensing that smile on the eyes, the mouth and the heart resting in presence. Simply aware of the changing sounds and sensations, moods, feelings, letting it come and go peaceful and easy. These last few moments will be a simple practice of loving kindness from that awake and open hearted space of being. To offer whatever prayer or blessing you'd like to this human heart of yours right here to bring a dear one to mind. Someone who may be having some challenges right now. Holding that being, an open hearted awareness, offering some prayer, some message of care. Sensing this heart as wide as a world that really includes all beings that we hold the earth, our mother in our laps and all beings in our heart. May all beings realize loving presence as their very essence. May all beings live from loving presence. May all beings touch a great natural peace. May there be peace on earth, peace everywhere. May all beings awaken and be free. Namaste. It.

Main Theme:
A guided meditation exploring the "energy body" through mindful awareness of physical sensations, breath, and loving presence, awakening heartfulness and the flow of subtle energy as a path to healing and spiritual awakening.
Tara Brach leads a deeply calming, guided meditation focused on awakening the body’s subtle energy—often referred to as the "energy body." By encouraging gentle awareness, ease, and self-compassion, she guides listeners through a journey of relaxing, attuning to bodily sensations, and connecting with the chakras (energy centers). The practice fosters open-hearted presence, culminating in a loving-kindness intention for oneself and all beings.

“So take a moment to listen inwardly and sense what is it that really brings you to practice right this moment? What matters to you?” (02:30)
On smiling into and awakening bodily regions:
“Smiling into the heart, visualizing and sensing the curve of a smile spreading through the heart… feel the aliveness, the openness, the energy in the area of the heart.” (04:45)
