Rejection happens to pretty much every academic at one time or another. Listen in as the Teahouse talks about why rejection is often not about your academic work, and scholars should be prepared with a back-up plan to submit elsewhere if a work is turned away. We muse on some of the problems that we see with peer review. And Liz wonders if she will be asked to do some peer reviewing by Ann. This time we were pleased to welcome two colleagues from LaGuardia Community College Library–Silvia Lin Hanick, Chief Librarian and Library Department Chair; and Steven Ovadia, Coordinator, Technical Services. In this episode, we talk about when and where it might be appropriate or desirable to publish outside of traditional peer-reviewed journals.
