The month of July 2021 has seen the full implementation of South Africa’s Protection Of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Added to that, the Information Regulator (South Africa) is also taking over responsibility for the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) from the South African Human Rights Commission. South African cyberspace has entered a new dispensation.
