Two Democratic senators now, Cory Booker and Alex Padilla, have a new bill out. They want to require CBP and ICE officers to have legible IDs, and they don't want CBP or ICE officers covering their faces. Would you ever sign that?
Host 3
Well, they wouldn't be saying that if they didn't hate our country. This is the problem with the Democrats have They have a lot of bad things going on in their heads. They've lost their confidence, number one, and they're really. They become somewhat deranged.

Host 5
Good Friday morning. Nice to have you with us on the 47 Morning Update. And we've got two major stories for you that we're going to cover. First up, the White House blaming Democrats now for a massive spike in assaults on ICE agents up more than 700%. Why is this happening? We've got the receipts from Democrats who've been calling for the assault on ICE.
Host 4
Agents, and we will expose them in a moment on.
Host 5
Also, we are seeing now that some Secret Service agents are being held accountable for the assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Sort of. Why did they hardly get anything? We'll give you the details on that coming up as well. It's the 47 Morning Update, and it starts right now. We are seeing radical mayors and governors around the country doing everything they can to go after ICE agents. And we are seeing a massive spike in the number of ice, ICE agents that have been assaulted. The White House now stepping out, blaming the Democrats for this spike in assaults on ICE agents nationwide. The White House on Wednesday accusing Democrats opposed to President Donald Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration of stoking violence directly against immigration and custom enforcement agents, quote, as ICE agents risk their lives to secure our borders and protect our communities, they're now facing a 700% surge in assaults, a direct consequence of dangerous, inflammatory rhetoric from Democratic politicians. The White House saying in a statement titled Democrats Inspire Vicious Escalating Attacks on ice. Now, the report listed three recent attacks at ICE facilities in Texas and Oregon, including a July 4th ambush near the Prairieland Detention center in Alvarado, Texas. One officer there was shot in the neck and multiple armed suspects were taken into custody. The injured officer was treated at a Fort Worth hospital. Thank goodness he was released. Now, the documents also list examples of unhinged Democrats inciting rhetoric and lies. The House Minority Leader, Hakeem Jeffries of New York, implored people to, quote, fight the Trump administration in the streets, quote, unquote, and declared ICE agents will be unsuccessful in protecting their identities, no matter what it takes. Wanting to dox ICE agents and put them and their families lives at risk, Representative Jay Appel of Washington State called ICE agents deranged and said it is inspiring, quote, unquote, to obstruct immigration enforcement. Yes, she's an elected official in Congress. Representative McIver of New Jersey, who is arrested and charged with forcibly impeding and interfering with federal officers outside an ICE detention facility, incited her supporters to, quote, shut down the city because, quote, we are at war. Minnesota Governor and former vice presidential candidate Tim Waltz said this, calling ICE agents the modern day Gestapo. The Chicago Mayor Johnson accused ICE of being the, quote, secret police and terrorizing our communities. Representative Eric Swalwell of California said it was his, quote, unquote, priority to ensure ICE agents are no longer faceless, comparing them to some 1800s bank robbery or some KGB officer in Russia. All of the people I just mentioned are elected officials going after our men and women in uniform. Now, on Tuesday, Democratic Senator Padilla of California and Cory Booker of New Jersey also went crazy, introducing legislation to require immigration enforcement officers to, quote, display clearly visible IDs and not wear masks during public enforcement operations, accusing the Trump administration of, quote, alarming immigration enforcement tactics that have terrorized communities across California. In the nation. Now, you may ask why some ICE agents are wearing masks. One simple reason to protect themselves and their families from the radical left who is trying to dox their location, even having apps to tell you where this is happening and people that are then putting their children online. Charles Marino, a former senior advisor to the Department of Homeland Security and Trump's first term, told Newsmax on Wednesday that the left doesn't care, quote, unquote, that its rhetoric is endangering the lives of.
Host 4
Federal law enforcement agents by inciting this.
Host 5
Type of violence, saying, quote, the rhetoric from the left is bringing out the crazies. It's as simple as this. We saw it during the assassination attempts on President Trump where this rhetoric about him being a threat to democracy brought out people that wanted to do him significant harm and take him out of the picture. And it continues here now against law enforcement. This goes back to the original story of those that tried to assassinate people that work in law enforcement on July 4th at their own headquarters. Present, however, is promising to not stop enforcing American laws, no matter what threats are now coming from the Democratic Party.
Ben Ferguson
Now, story number two, I want to.
Host 4
Take you back in time to a story that happened, what, about a year ago, and that was the major assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. You know, the one where luckily he moved his head a little bit and that bullet hit his ear instead of taking his head off. We now know that six Secret Service agents have been suspended over that Donald Trump assassination attempt. Now, let me give you some of the facts on this so you understand what this means. The U.S. secret Service has placed these six agents on suspension without pay for durations ranging from 10 days to 45 days. And the accounts slightly vary from what I'm hearing on Capitol Hill. Why? Due to security failures, they're now saying I've been assessed during that assassination attempt July 13th at that rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Now, those discipline include agents at various ranks, okay? Supervisor, staff line agents, a counter sniper, members of the Pittsburgh field office, and the site walk through coordinator as well. Now, the nature of the lapse was obviously so egregious that there's a lot of people that are shocked that more people haven't been fired. So what is this all about? Well, the investigation revealed serious coordination and communication breakdowns that day, such as unsecured rooftops, missing radios, wrong drone cables, and poor integration with local law enforcement. A Senate briefing we also now being told found that the shooter was spotted on the rooftop at least 10 minutes.
Host 5
Before Trump took the stage.
Host 4
Yet no preventive action was taken, which is totally insane. Why so many people think this could have been a setup, that there is a real conspiracy theory here. And based on what we know, by the way of the RFK assassination, there's a real, like, legitimacy to asking every question on the table. I'm One of those, by the way. I want to make that very clear. Now, there also have been lack, you could argue, of consequences and accountability. Yes. The former Secret Service director resigned in.
Host 5
July of last year, citing responsibility over.
Host 4
The agency's most significant operational failure in decades. But outside that, what really happened? Well, the acting leadership under Deputy Director Matt Quinn and Director Sean Karan, who was on site and shielded Trump during the shooting, affirmed suspensions are aimed at systemic reform, quote, unquote, not blame or firings. Quinn said, saying, quote, we are laser.
Host 5
Focused on fixing the root cause.
Host 4
We aren't going to fire our way out of this. Now, Matt Quinn also emphasized ongoing reform, saying, once inoperative equipment like drones and.
Host 5
Mobile command centers are being upgraded and.
Host 4
Coordination with local law enforce is being enhanced.
Host 5
There was clearly a major separation that.
Host 4
Day where police couldn't even talk to the Secret service in that 10 minute lapse from the time they saw him on the rooftop before Trump took the stage is a perfect example of that. Now, there's also been the public reaction to this. Many Americans do not believe, for example, that this was handled appropriately.
Host 5
I'll give you another example.
Host 4
The widow of the firefighter, his name was Corey, who was killed by a stray bullet, slammed the Secret Service, labeling their performance as, quote, a hot mess and calling for accountability and explanation because if they would have done her their job, there's a very good chance that her husband Corey would still be with us. We also know that there's been a bipartisan House task force deemed the assassination attempt, quote, unquote, preventable. Now, how often do Republicans and Democrats agree on anything? When you are Republicans and Democrats and you come together and the assassination attempt.
Host 5
Report says that this was preventable.
Host 4
That happened in December, by the way of last year. The report was issued about a dozen recommendations aimed at strengthening the security protocols as well as, uh. That worries me that, that those recommendations are coming from Congress and weren't already in place by the Secret Service. Now, various people have praised the disciplinary measures and reforms, noting the agency is taking responsibility and implementing structural change. That is, in theory, good. But the big question is, is it enough saying we're not gonna fire our way out of this? What does that, what does that mean? The only way that you get fired.
Host 5
Is if there is an actual dead president.
Host 4
I mean, the lack of accountability here is incredible. And let's just go back to the private sector. If you. And look, I've had death threats against me. I've had security that I've had to have, unfortunately, in my career. I carry a firearm virtually everywhere I go. Uh, and when I do an event and there's security there, if I was shot the way that Donald Trump was, and there was a line of sight, venue, and that's the whole job of.
Host 5
The Secret Service to make sure that.
Host 4
Doesn'T happen where there's a short range line of sight directly the President's head. And that's what happened in Butler. The idea that we're, quote, not gonna fire away out of this, I still think is kind of absurd. And I'm not like you fire everyone. What I am saying is, is like, come on outside. The Secret Service director who resigned, you're telling me basically no one's been fired. I don't understand that.
Host 5
In the private sector, whether this is.
Host 4
A, a celebrity, a sports star, a former politician, a whatever it may be, if this happened in the private sector.
Host 5
A CEO of a company, there would.
Host 4
No doubt be massive amounts of people that would be fired because of the event. Why is it in government we don't fire people? I, I, I, I. It drives me insane.
Host 5
And if you look at the six.
Host 4
Agents that receive these suspensions ranging from 10 to 42 days as part of a, quote, broader effort to address serious.
Host 5
Protective failures, does it get any more.
Host 4
Serious than an assassination attempt on the President, United States of America, and multiple rounds going at his body like, this is the biggest failure you can have without death. And no one gets fired. And you're like, all right, well, you're not going to get paid for 10 to 42 days. I don't know if that's the right message that we should be sending right now. Now, with the prior director's resignation, they went on to say an emphasis on root cause fixes and improved interagency coordination and upgrade equipment.
Host 5
The Secret Service is undergoing reforms intended.
Host 4
To prevent such lapses in the future. That's all great. Again, why is it that no one has been fired in the private sector?
Host 5
You screw up like this, you are fired.
Host 4
Period. You are fired.
