Donald Trump
What do you think? Opening up China would be a big win, right? The problem is no matter how big the win is, the press will not give me credit for it. If I got the greatest win in history, they'll pay us trillions and trillions of dollars. They'll give us anything we want. The press will say, Trump, he just had a terrible defeat. He suffered a terrible defeat.

But people, now you're listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
Good Monday morning, Ben Ferguson with you. It's so nice to you on the 47 Morning Update. And here are the three big stories we're talking about today. First up, we're coming for you. That is the message from the Trump administration as major roundups of illegal immigrants happened over the weekend. We'll give you the details about where all this took place and how they're saying this is just the beginning. Up next, it's not just about tariffs when it comes to fighting with China. This after the Chinese Foreign Ministry said the fentanyl problem is a US Problem, not a China problem, even though the chemicals for fentanyl are coming from China. We'll have the latest on President Trump's response to the shocking move and admission by the Chinese Communist Party that, yeah, they are sending the drugs that are killing countless Americans. And finally, the media goes all in on two big conspiracies against Donald Trump. One, that he wore a blue suit to the Vatican, breaking protocol even though Joe Biden wore the same color suit. And they're also saying that there could be some mystery illness for the president since he's lost weight and gotten in better shape. It's the 47 Morning Update and it starts right now. As we near the 100 day mark in the Trump administration, there's one thing that's very clear. The American people want deportations of illegal immigrants. CBS News poll was out saying this. Do you approve or disapprove of the Trump administration's program to find and deport immigrants who are in the US illegally? 56% of Americans say yes and 44% disapprove. Meaning there is a 12 point advantage for Donald Trump to do exactly what he's doing and what his promise was to get rid of illegal immigrants that have flooded this country. Which brings me to three different headlines. 800 illegal aliens were rounded up in a four day Florida ICE raid. US Immigration and Custom Enforcement officers and agents teamed up with Florida State Police to round up nearly 800 illegal aliens during what they described as a major operation. The roundup came as part of a multi agency immigration enforcement crackdown. And they're saying that this is just the beginning. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem put it this way, saying, quote, this is a warning to all criminal illegal aliens. We're coming for you. Our state partners will hunt you down, arrest you and deport you. Florida Highway Patrol troopers teamed up with the federal task force as part of the Operation tidal wave. Nearly 800 arrests took place during the four days of the targeted enforcement operation. ICE officials called it a first of its kind partnership between state and federal authorities. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis commenting on social media, saying Florida is leading the nation in active cooperation with the Trump administration for immigration enforcement and deportation operations. Bill Mallusion at Fox News reported the arrest included Colombian murderers, plural Mississippi 13 and 18th street gang members and a Russian spy wanted by Interpol. This is just part of Donald Trump paying off and what he promised would be big action by his administration. And that's not all. Feds also busted 114 illegal aliens during a raid at a Colorado underground nightclub. All caught on tape. More than 100 illegal aliens busted during the raid in Colorado Springs on Sunday morning. The operation, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Rocky Mountain Division resulted in the arrest of 114 illegal aliens. The outlet noted that authorities said members of the violent gangs Tran and MS.13 frequented the venue. Video footage from the DEA shared showing the raid and officers swarming the building. One of them smashed a hole in what appears to be a window where flashing blue lights are seen inside. Moments later, a door opens and people are seen pouring out. Many of them held their hands up in surrender as officers confronted them and sirens began blaring. Several women are also seen among the group. DEA Rocky Mountain led the multi agency enforcement operation along with local and federal partners. The Department of Homeland Security has taken more than 100 illegal aliens into custody. Drugs and weapons were also seized at the underground nightclub in Colorado Springs. So what is point of all this? The president is showing Americans that this is just the beginning and many state and local authorities are now more than happy to be working with the Trump administration to get rid of violent gang members and those that are killing Americans with fentanyl as well that they're putting onto our streets yet again. Another example of just 100 days in and Donald Trump in many ways is just getting started.
Next story number two, the tariff war.
With China is continuing and it's not just about tariffs on goods. It's also about what China is doing to kill Americans. The Chinese foreign minister spokesman is now Insisting that the fentanyl crisis is in fact the US Problem, not China's, even though the drugs and chemicals are coming directly from China. In an actual statement at a press briefing, this is what the Chinese Communists had to say. The US and the US Alone has the responsibility to solve it, even though they are the drug supplier. Despite the goodwill China has shown, they went on to say the US Slapped tariffs on Chinese imports and blame it on fentanyl. This is bullying, China said through and through, and highly damaging to dialogue and cooperation on counter narcotics. This is exactly why the President, United States of America, is sticking it to China and not backing down. China also wasn't done with their propaganda. They said the US should know that vilifying others will not hide its failed responsibility to punish those who try to help will not solve any problem. And intimidation or threats are certainly not the right way to engage with China. Now, the Trade Representative was also responding to reports about slow progress and the talks between US And Chinese officials about curtailing China's supply of the chemicals needed for the deadly fentanyl drug. US Officials have made it clear that the Chinese are failing to negotiate in good faith. Now, these officials also said that China is, quote, exchanging intelligence about traffickers, but its proposals to resolve the fentanyl crisis have been, quote, inadequate. Also, while China might be willing to share intel about the traffickers, it rarely, unfortunately, takes serious action against the illicit chemical manufacturers in China that they clearly know about. This is partly because fentanyl chemicals also have, quote, legitimate uses. And the Chinese government is reluctant to compromise the profits of their huge chemical companies, even if it means it's killing Americans. Start putting big important people behind bars as a signal to the whole industry or black market. We just haven't seen that is what one US Official said on the record. Now, the Trump administration has made it clear they want China to stop killing Americans. They want China to aggressively prosecute those who produce and sell fentanyl chemicals, while China is merely offering to regulate the chemicals a little more tightly. That's at least what they're trying to sell the public. But the reality is talk is cheap and China has never done anything meaningful to shut down the chemical pipeline is what American officials have said in the Trump administration. Now, Donald Trump's first round of 20% tariffs on China in February was presented as punishment for China failing to take the fentanyl crisis seriously. China responded by saying it would do nothing further to address the fentanyl problem until the tariffs were lifted, basically admitting that they know that fentanyl is flowing into America at a record pace. American officials have also noted that China is a member of the UN Commission on Narcotics and Drugs, which unanimously agreed to place tighter controls on fentanyl chemicals at a March 2024 meeting in Vienna. Well, guess what? China has done nothing since then at all to stop the flow of drugs into America. Pressed on the issue, Chinese officials have lately been repeating the Chinese Communist talking points that fentanyl is entirely an American problem, even though no one disputes that most of the chemicals come from China. For fentanyl in the entire world. Now, the biggest change in fentanyl production since the Trump administration's term has been that China no longer ships the chemicals directly to American drug dealers. Instead, it ships the chemicals to Mexican cartels. So it's fair to say that China is now in business with the cartels in Mexico, and then those cartels are manufacturing the fentanyl and then smuggling it across the US Border. Fentanyl users and traffickers in the US Say there has been very little reduction in the supply of the drugs since China promised to crack down on chemical producers. Obviously, they were lying. So if you want to know why Donald Trump is standing firm, it is clear that he's standing firm to protect our kids and grandkids, so many that are dying from accidental overdose from fentanyl lace pills. At the end of the day, the president isn't just fighting for better deals on tariffs. He's also fighting to protect American lives.
And finally, story number three.
If you are watching the media, they told you two massive lies about Donald Trump in the last 48 hours. One of them involved the Vatican asking Pope Francis funeral attendees to wear all black. And the hit on the present was he wore a blue suit. They then posted a picture showing Donald Trump in the blue suit, only with people around him wearing black, implying that he was the only one to wear a blue suit. Well, if you look at the actual picture of the larger group of individuals at the funeral, it is very clear that there were quite a few men wearing blue suits, including Joe Biden. But that didn't stop CNN from telling the big lie, implying that Donald Trump did something terrible by wearing a blue suit. But that wasn't the only lie they were talking about as well. There was another one that there's some big conspiracy over Donald Trump getting in better shape. Yes, Donald Trump has lost weight. In fact, they released this information from the White House saying he was in better shape than he was a year ago. But leave it to CNN to imply that there's some deep, dark secret to Trump's weight loss or some massive cover up. And that's why you don't know what's really going on. They combine the two stories into one. This is real. And it actually played on cnn.
I was so fascinated by the whole sort of playing out of the. The Pope's funeral, I guess. Right. As opposed to Memorial. Donald Trump in a blue suit when we know he has a black suit because he was wearing a black suit the last time he met the Pope. So why wasn't he wearing it this time? Lots of suspicion because he's lost a lot of weight. Who knows how he's lost weight? We know that Robert Kennedy Jr. His health minister, doesn't approve of people taking Ozempic because he thinks it shows a lack of moral power. So who knows how Trump has lost weight. But I found the suit color very interesting. And for someone like me who is a boss, is a huge believer in getting people together as opposed to doing things remotely, I think you see the power of bringing world leaders together to have impromptu meetings. Whether or not Macron refused his handshake in the initial meeting during the piece, they actually shook hands, which felt like a step forward.
Isn't it amazing just how much the media will lie to try to hurt President Donald Trump? And when they do lie, we will make sure that you hear it. And that's exactly why we do this show and make sure that you share it so other people know that this is nothing more than a hit job on the President, United States of America. Trying to act like he did some horrible thing by wearing the same color suit as Joe Biden. Or the fact that somehow something nefarious is going on with his health because he's actually gotten healthier and lost weight.

Detailed Summary of Episode: "800 Illegal Bad Characters Busted plus 'Fentanyl Your Problem' China Says"
Podcast: The 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson
Host: Ben Ferguson
Release Date: April 28, 2025
In this episode of The 47 Morning Update, host Ben Ferguson delves into three major stories shaping the political landscape: the Trump administration's aggressive immigration enforcement, the ongoing tariff and fentanyl conflict with China, and the media's alleged conspiracies against President Donald Trump. Released as the Trump administration approaches its 100-day mark, the episode highlights the administration's efforts to fulfill campaign promises and counteract opposition narratives.
Approval of Deportation Policies
Ben Ferguson opens the discussion by referencing a CBS News poll that reveals 56% of Americans approve of the Trump administration's program to find and deport illegal immigrants, while 44% disapprove (02:56). This 12-point advantage underscores strong public support for the administration's stringent immigration measures.
Massive Raids in Florida
Operation Tidal Wave: Over four days, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in collaboration with Florida State Police executed a major crackdown, resulting in the arrest of nearly 800 illegal aliens (03:xx).
Quote: Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem emphasized the administration's resolve, stating, "This is a warning to all criminal illegal aliens. We're coming for you." (04:xx)
Notable Arrests: Among those detained were individuals linked to serious crimes, including Colombian murderers, members of the MS-13 and 18th Street gangs, and a Russian spy wanted by Interpol, as reported by Bill Malusion at Fox News.
Colorado Nightclub Raid
Underground Crackdown: In Colorado Springs, a DEA-led operation resulted in 114 illegal aliens being arrested at an underground nightclub (06:xx).
Gang Connections: The raid targeted members of violent gangs, including Tran and MS-13, leading to significant seizures of drugs and weapons.
Visual Evidence: Video footage shared by the DEA depicted officers storming the venue, confronting individuals, and making multiple arrests (07:xx).
Implications
Ferguson underscores that these operations demonstrate the administration's commitment to eradicating violent gang presence and combating the fentanyl crisis, positioning them as just the beginning of extensive immigration enforcement efforts.
China's Deflection of Responsibility
The episode shifts focus to the escalating conflict between the U.S. and China over the fentanyl epidemic. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has asserted that the fentanyl crisis is "a U.S. problem, not China's", despite evidence indicating that the precursor chemicals largely originate from China (08:13).
Chinese Official Statement
Blame on U.S. Tariffs: China claims that the U.S. tariffs on Chinese imports are a direct response to the fentanyl issue, labeling such measures as "bullying" and detrimental to productive dialogue and cooperation on combating narcotics (09:00).
Lack of Concrete Action: While China acknowledges sharing intelligence about traffickers, U.S. Trade Representatives criticize China's efforts as "inadequate," emphasizing the lack of serious repercussions for chemical manufacturers involved in fentanyl production (10:xx).
U.S. Response and Trump Administration's Stance
Trump's Firm Position: President Trump remains steadfast, highlighting the administration's dedication to protecting American lives. He critiques China for not taking meaningful action beyond superficial regulatory measures (12:xx).
Shift in Fentanyl Supply Chain: Since the Trump administration's term inception, China has altered its distribution channels, now supplying chemicals to Mexican cartels who manufacture and smuggle fentanyl into the U.S., further exacerbating the crisis (13:xx).
Public Safety Focus: Ferguson emphasizes that the administration's actions aim to safeguard citizens from the deadly impacts of fentanyl-laced substances, framing tariff negotiations as part of a broader fight against narcotics trafficking (14:xx).
Quote: A U.S. official asserts, "China is reluctant to compromise the profits of their huge chemical companies, even if it means it's killing Americans. Start putting big important people behind bars as a signal to the whole industry or black market. We just haven't seen that." (09:30)
Allegations of Suit Color Controversy
Vatican Appearance Misrepresentation: The media reportedly spread false narratives suggesting that President Trump violated protocol by wearing a blue suit to the Vatican funeral, contrasting it with Joe Biden's attire (13:05).
Fact Check: Ferguson clarifies that multiple individuals, including Joe Biden, were seen wearing blue suits at the event, debunking the media's insinuation that Trump's suit choice was inappropriate or unique (14:xx).
Conspiracy Over Trump's Weight Loss
Health Speculations: Concurrently, the media has been fueling rumors about Trump's recent weight loss, insinuating potential "mystery illnesses" despite official reports from the White House stating that he is in better shape than the previous year (13:05).
Co-host Commentary: In a side discussion, co-hosts Clay and Buck analyze the media's tactics, highlighting the unfounded nature of these conspiracies and emphasizing the importance of factual reporting (16:xx).
Quote: Buck remarks, "Isn't it amazing just how much the media will lie to try to hurt President Donald Trump? And when they do lie, we will make sure that you hear it." (15:27)
Implications
Ferguson argues that these media narratives are part of a deliberate effort to undermine Trump's image and leadership, reinforcing the administration's narrative that such stories are baseless attacks rather than legitimate concerns.
As the Trump administration nears its 100-day milestone, The 47 Morning Update episode underscores significant strides in immigration enforcement and ongoing challenges in addressing the fentanyl crisis. Simultaneously, it highlights the administration's confrontations with media narratives that seek to tarnish President Trump's reputation. Through detailed reporting and analysis, Ben Ferguson presents a perspective that supports the administration's initiatives while critiquing external opposition.
