Donald Trump
We intend to make a deal with Europe. We have found that the European Union treated us extremely unfairly, very difficult and hurt themselves in doing so. And they very much want to make a deal. We'll be dealing with them. We are dealing with them currently. So that'll cover pretty much the rest of it.
Ben Ferguson
You're listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
Good Friday morning. Welcome. It is the 47 Morning Update, Ben Ferguson with you. And here are the three big stories we're talking about today. First up, a trade deal agreement between the US and the UK Setting a standard for what other countries can expect as they're negotiating their trade deals with the US and how did Wall street respond? Well, with big numbers in the green. Up next, in a shocking story that all of you I hope will share because the media is not covering this, Planned Parenthood has now been exposed prescribing gender affirming care hormones to minors and doing it virtually with no parental supervision. And finally, a historic moment for the US as we have an American Pope that has been named. Who is he and what did he have to say when he walked out on the balcony for the very first time as the Pope? It's the 47 Morning Update and it starts right now.
Story number one, victory.
President Donald Trump and the UK Prime Minister Starmer announced a new trade agreement between the United States and the United Kingdom. And this is one of many apparently coming down the pipeline from the White House yet again, proving the media and those on the left wrong. Now, this deal marks the first major bilateral trade pact since the implementation of Trump's global tariff policy earlier this year. The key highlights of the agreement include tariff reductions. The US Will reduce tariffs on Britain steel and aluminum exports to zero and lower tariffs on up to 100,000 UK made cars from 27.5% to just 10%. On agricultural access, the UK will open its markets to more American agricultural products, including beef and ethanol, helping American farmers significantly by removing tariffs such as the 19% duty on US ethanol imports that currently was there on industrial goods. Tariffs on British aerospace components, notably Rolls Royce engines, will be eliminated. And the UK has agreed to purchase 10 billion in Boeing aircraft yet again helping American workers. Now the non tariff barriers are also an issue. Both nations have committed to reducing non tariff barriers and streamlining customs processes to facilitate trade. Now the Prime Minister Starmer described the agreement as, quote, historic, emphasizing its potential to protect UK jobs and industries. President Trump highlighted the deal as a significant step in expanding American exports and reducing trade deficits that help the American workers. Here's the President in his own words at the Oval Office announcing this deal morning.
Donald Trump
I'm thrilled to announce that we have reached a breakthrough trade deal with the United Kingdom. Incredible country. Today is a victory day for World War II. We won the war together exactly 80 years ago. So there could be no more perfect morning to reach this historic agreement. And it's beautiful weather out, I will tell you that Kir beautiful weather. It's so perfect outside. But it's really in particular the agreement with one of our closest and most cherished allies. And we're so happy that that's the way it worked out. I want to thank Prime Minister Starmer and his very talented team for their outstanding work and partnership. Today's agreement with the UK Is the first in a series of agreements on trade that my administration has been negotiating over the past four weeks. With this deal, the UK Joins the United States in affirming that reciprocity and fairness is an essential and vital principle of international trade.
Ben Ferguson
Now, the big takeaway from what the President just said there and this deal that's done with the UK is precedent. The agreement is seen as nothing but a foundation for future negotiations with other countries, with both countries expressing interest in expanding discussions to also include digital services, technology and other sectors as well. Now this means that other countries that are looking at doing a deal with the US Know what's expected of them. It also goes back to the promise from the President. Those who got in line first would get the best deals. And clearly this is a deal that UK is proud of. And the President, United States of America, what does this mean for Wall Street? Well, we know where Wall street closed and it was big as the markets love the idea of this happening. With the dow finishing up 254 points, the NASDAQ up 189 and the S&P 500 up 32. We expect more deals coming out of the White House in the very near future as well. So we'll keep you covered on all those details.
Now story number two.
This story is one that is incredibly important and I hope it's one that all of you will share on social media. Take this podcast and put it wherever you are, because the story you're about to hear, no one is talking about and that is certainly includes the mainstream media. There was an undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood prescribing hormones to minors with minimal oversight. It's not health care, it's child abuse and it must be stopped is what the Live Action president Lila Rose said in a statement after they released the undercover sting operation. Audio in video Undercover phone calls released by the pro life activist group Live Action revealed that in fact, Planned Parenthood clinics across several states offered cross sex hormone treatments to minors as young as 16 with very little parental or medical supervision. The group is now calling on Congress to defund Planned Parenthood of the hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer funding. Yes, your tax dollars are going to Planned Parenthood to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. Live Action conducted the undercover investigation in which a woman posing as a 16 year old minor called dozens of Planned Parenthood locations seeking gender affirming care. At least seven of the Planned Parenthood facilities told her that they would prescribe cross sex hormones at the very first appointment. In several instances, Planned Parenthood assured the caller that she could choose to meet with a provider virtually and have access to the cross sex hormones as quickly as the same day, despite the person posing as a minor saying they had just begun considering changing her sex. Facilities in Minnesota and Oregon stated they could schedule the minor within days or even on the same day. Five facilities also stated no prior therapy, no prior mental health clearances, no prior documentation was needed for the undercover individual to obtain cross sex hormones. I'm going to play for you this audio and I hope every one of you will share this wherever you can on social media.
Planned Parenthood Representative
Thank you for calling Planned Parenthood. Thank you for choosing Planned Parenthood Greater New York. Thank you for calling Planned Parenthood. Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota hello, Good afternoon. Thank you for calling Planned Parenthood.
Sophia
Hi, my name is Sophia. I'm just trying to schedule some gender affirming care. I really just want to be able to get some tests done fastro to start my journey.
Planned Parenthood Representative
So we just have to start by booking your initial appointment so you can come in to see one of our providers. Are you over 18?
Sophia
No, I'm 16.
Planned Parenthood Representative
You're good to be seen here then? 16 and older.
Sophia
Okay, good. You're okay to do it for minors?
Planned Parenthood Representative
Yes. You can legally get hormones under 18. How old are you?
Sophia
16. I know my mom has to come in with me. Does she have to be in there the whole time? Like, how does that work? Because I don't know if I'm comfortable with that.
Planned Parenthood Representative
At some point at the appointment, they. Maybe she doesn't have to be in the examining room with you.
Sophia
You said I could do it virtually.
Planned Parenthood Representative
Yeah, you could do it virtually.
Sophia
So what would that look like? So I'd just talk to a doctor and then they'd be able to prescribe me?
Planned Parenthood Representative
Yes. If it's virtual, you'll still meet with the doctor and then go over, like, all necessary information. At the end, they will then be prescribing hormones that would then be scripted out to, like, your local pharmacy.
Sophia
I don't need any, like, therapy or anything first. Like, you don't need any record of.
Planned Parenthood Representative
Not that I know of.
Sophia
I don't need any sort of, like, records of having gone to therapy or anything like that.
Planned Parenthood Representative
Right, yeah. So unless you have Tricare insurance, it would not be required.
Sophia
There's nothing that I need before. Right. Like, I don't need to, like, have records and meeting with a therapist or anything. Right. Because my parents definitely aren't gonna let me do that. No, I just decided last week, and so I kind of want to get in as soon as possible. Do you have any appointments available soon?
Planned Parenthood Representative
Yeah, it depends on the location, too, but we usually do have availability for, like, the next week of whenever you call.
Sophia
You think if I came in, went over everything with the doctor, and they could send the prescription that day?
Planned Parenthood Representative
Yes, I think they should be able to. The provider is going to send the prescription to your pharmacy the same day of your appointment.
Sophia
Oh, perfect.
Ben Ferguson
Okay.
Sophia
So I can get the hormones the same day.
Planned Parenthood Representative
Some pharmacies do take a little bit to get it together, but, yeah, if not the same day, then more than likely the very next day.
Sophia
Perfect.
Planned Parenthood Representative
Thank you for calling. You have a great day.
Ben Ferguson
This is exactly why President Donald Trump has been questioning your dollars going to Planned Parenthood and why so many conservatives are advocating now for Planned Parenthood not receiving a single dime of taxpayer dollars. Because this is what they're doing with your money.
And lastly, story number three.
History was made as there is a new pope that has been named to lead the Catholic Church. And this pope is coming from the United States of America. It was a historic moment as Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost of Chicago has been elected as the 267th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. This marks the first time an American has ascended to the papacy. The announcement was made following the appearance of the white smoke from the Sistine Chapel, signaling the successful conclusion of the conclave. President Donald Trump said this about the big announcement.
Donald Trump
They have already spoken to us and we'll see what happens. But again, to have the Pope from the United States of America, that's a great honor. That's a great honor watching. And they said, he's from America. I said, that's great.
Ben Ferguson
Now the Pope, in his first address from the balcony of St. Peter's greeted the crowd with peace be with all of you. He emphasized themes of unity, inclusiveness and peace, reflecting a commitment to bridging divides within the church. At the end of the day, this is a great day for anyone in the Catholic faith and certainly a great day when it comes to history, as President Trump put it, for everyone in this country having the first pope ever from the United States.

Notable Quotes and Evidence
Live Action President Lila Rose stated, “It's not health care, it's child abuse and it must be stopped” ([06:02]). Ferguson emphasizes the gravity of these findings by playing a snippet of the undercover call:
Ferguson uses this evidence to argue that taxpayer dollars, which fund Planned Parenthood with hundreds of millions annually, are being misused. He asserts, “This is exactly why President Donald Trump has been questioning your dollars going to Planned Parenthood and why so many conservatives are advocating now for Planned Parenthood not receiving a single dime of taxpayer dollars. Because this is what they're doing with your money.” ([10:55])
Call to Action
Ferguson urges listeners to share this information widely on social media to raise awareness and pressure Congress to defund Planned Parenthood, aligning with conservative efforts to cut governmental funding to the organization.

Leaders' Reactions
President Trump expressed his honor and excitement regarding the appointment: “But again, to have the Pope from the United States of America, that's a great honor.” ([11:55]). His remarks reflect national pride and the significance of having an American lead a global religious institution.
Pope's Inaugural Address
In his first address from St. Peter's balcony, Pope Prevost extended greetings, saying, “Peace be with all of you.” He emphasized themes of unity, inclusiveness, and peace, indicating his commitment to bridging divides within the church and fostering a more harmonious global community ([12:12]).
Implications
Ferguson notes that this historic moment is celebrated not only within the Catholic faith but also holds symbolic importance for the United States. It signifies a recognition of American leadership and values within one of the world's most influential religious organizations.
