Ben Ferguson
Welcome. It is verdict with senator Ted Cruz, Ben Ferguson with you. And Senator, we're going to start off with some truly shocking news. If you are a woman and you took the COVID vaccine and you had a miscarriage, there is a very good chance you were lied to by those that said trust the science. With a shocking rate of miscarriage of 80 plus percent. Women are furious. They should be. And now people are demanding accountability. I haven't seen seen this level of anger on any specific issue with COVID as much as we're witnessing right now.
Senator Ted Cruz
Well, this is a level of deception, a level of dishonesty that exceeds anything we've seen previously. Dr. Anthony Fauci, we're going to talk about what he knew and how he deliberately misled the American people and the moms who lost babies as a result. It is horrific. This is going to make your stomach turn. It's going to make you angry, and as you said, it's going to make you demand accountability. We're also, we're going through a rogues gallery in this, this particular show because we're going to talk about Abdul Al Said who, who manages every day to exceed where he was the day before and then the, the, the all time classic aoc. So, so Fauci Al said and aoc, that's the triumvirate in today's verdict.
Ben Ferguson
All right, I want to take a moment, I want to talk to you for just a second honestly about how an act of compassion really feels. If you're going to change someone's life, you want to know it actually lasts. That's one reason Compassion International has become one of the most trusted child development ministries in the world. Independent research shows children sponsored through Compassion stay in school longer are 40% more likely to graduate high school and 80% more likely to finish college. And that's because sponsorship, it isn't just temporary relief. It's long term investment through the local church, meeting physical needs while sharing the hope of Jesus. And for $43 a month, you can help shape a child's future just like I do each and every month sponsor a child today@compassion.com that's compassion.com so Senator, let's, let's go back to where this exploded. And, and for many that are hearing this, they may not even know this yet because it has happened quickly and it was information that was put out. And it is horrific because if you know someone that had a miscarriage after taking the COVID 19 vaccine, it is a very high probability based on the data that's now being reported and the data that was being covered up, that more than 80% of women who had the second shot, apparently this is again coming from some of the internal reporting from the vaccine manufacturers as well as doctors, OB GYNs who are saying that about 80 plus percent were having miscarriages in the first trimester. Now, I know some people personally, you do as well, that have gone public on this. A dear friend of ours, Megan McCain, they were going through in vitro and had a miscarriage during this period in time. And she put it out today that she's furious and believes this is criminal and people deserve to go to jail. And she's not the only woman saying this.
Senator Ted Cruz
Well, and what was released this week is Senator Ron Johnson, Senator Rand Paul released emails from Dr. Anthony Fauci where he recognized that there were real data that suggested that taking the COVID vaccine in particular the second shot, had a significantly enhanced risk of miscarriage. And in fact, look, here are the data. The authors claimed a miscarriage rate of 12.6% but the raw data revealed an 82% miscarriage rate in women vaccinated during the first trimester. This is consistent with the 81% miscarriage rate noted in the Pfizer 5.3.6 post market data. These figures mirror the effects of chemical abortion drugs such as RU486.
Ben Ferguson
So can you just read that last line again so people understand the same level? Read it again. I want people to understand what this hat what this is.
Senator Ted Cruz
These figures mirror the effects of chemical abortion drugs such as RU 486. What this study concluded is taking the COVID vaccine, a woman who was in her first trimester of pregnancy had an 82% chance of having a miscarriage. That it had the same effect as taking an abortion drug. Very similar numbers. That is shocking. That is stunning. And maybe if you wanted to give a tiny bit of grace, you might say, well, they didn't know. Here's the infuriating thing. They knew. They had these data in front of them and they decided, we're going to lie, we're going to lie. I want you to listen to the head of the CDC under Joe Biden telling pregnant women to take the COVID vaccine. And she knew. Give a listen.
Host/Announcer
Importantly, no safety concerns were observed for people vaccinated in the third trimester or safety concerns for their babies as such. CDC recommends that pregnant people receive the COVID 19 vaccine.
Ben Ferguson
You know, it's frustrating, Senator, during that time I had on my show Rochelle Walensky, actually more than once when they were talking about the vaccine and the CDC reached out to many people in radio saying, hey, can, can we come on your show? Can we talk about the vaccine? And they knew they were lying when they came on shows. And there were many of us early on that were trusting that they were just trying to get information out. This wasn't information. This was propaganda and lies.
Senator Ted Cruz
This was lies. And the email in question was on January 25, 2021. So really early on, Dr. Fauci said, I asked around a bit more and another issue came up that you need to be aware of. Since many people have significant cytokine storm and fever after the second dose, this theoretically could be associated with miscarriage in the first trimester. So he's writing this and listen, I don't expect scientists to have omniscience. There is limited knowledge during the COVID virus. A lot of people were operating with limited knowledge. And yeah, if you had Foucher, if you had others saying, listen, we're seeing people that are dying from this disease. It's infectious, we don't quite understand it. We have this vaccine it's brand new, it's untested, it may have some positive effects. If you are 85 and you have significant comorbidities, it may make sense as a cost benefit analysis for you to choose to take this vaccine. If you are six and a healthy child, it makes zero sense for you to take this vaccine because the fatality rate was essentially zero. Very close to zero for kids. And so if you're rolling the dice, look, if you're dealing with people in their 70s or 80s or 90s, where you were seeing a significant fatality rate, there's a lot more risk tolerance to say, I'm going to endure some unknown risks because the downside is high enough that that cost benefit analysis makes sense. That was a rational way to discuss it. But instead, they did not approach this like science. They did not say, here's what we know, here's what we don't know, and here's how you should assess the risk. Instead, they made it a virtue signal. You either take this vaccine or you were evil and want people to die. And they were willing to force.
Ben Ferguson
Trying to kill grandmother.
Senator Ted Cruz
Yes. They're willing to force it on babies. They were willing to force it on little kids. They were willing to force it on pregnant women. Now, forcing it on pregnant women never made sense. But I got to admit, I didn't think it made sense without knowing that they had testing data. And by the way, Pfizer, what the hell up is up with Pfizer? If Pfizer had data that showed 81, 82% miscarriage rate for women in the first trimester, let me tell you this, Pfizer, they better hire a heck of a lot of defense attorneys right now, because every mom, every dad who lost a baby who took this vaccine, you are going to see the mother of all class actions. Now, unfortunately, Congress passed shields.
Ben Ferguson
There was a lot of protections and liabilities that were given out.
Senator Ted Cruz
Yeah.
Ben Ferguson
Which then means. And the problem with it is, you don't think people are going to be so evil in that moment if you go back to Covid, that they would actually abuse their power and that protection. Clearly, I. I would argue now that Pfizer and anybody else that was involved here said, hey, we've already got the protections we need from the government. They've given them to us. We want to sell as many as we can. We're not gonna tell anything, anything's bad with this because we don't want anybody to not want to take this or ask any other questions because they knew they had the protections like, that's pure evil.
Senator Ted Cruz
Well, and let me say something. Obviously, Joe Biden pardoned Dr. Dr. Anthony Fauci, although he did it with an auto pen. And so there's an open legal question of whether that pardon is valid, and that turns on whether Biden actually knew and made the decision to issue the pardon. If it was just a staffer, it's an invalid pardon. But understand, a pardon does not immunize Foushee from civil liability, from being sued. And I have to say, look, Ben, you and I are both dads. You know, I have to admit, when I was growing up, I never thought about miscarriages. I didn't really know. I will say, you know, you and I are in our 40s and 50s. We have a lot of friends who are parents. We have a lot of friends who tried and tried hard to get pregnant. I never knew just how common miscarriages are. And when I was a teenager, 20s, it never occurred to me. And I cannot count. It's dozens, if not hundreds of friends of mine who've had miscarriages. And I did not realize that the frequency with which Heidi and I were blessed, we did not experience a miscarriage. I'm grateful for that. But I have a lot of really close friends who did and who cried, who wept, who wanted the baby, who lost the baby, who grieved. And the idea that Fauci and others in the Biden administration knew, they knew that this was a very real risk to pregnant mothers, and they nonetheless, because political ideology mattered more than the health of the baby, mattered more than the health of the mother, mattered more than anything. The virtue signal was their driving. Political ideology is if you're not pissed, you're not paying attention.
Ben Ferguson
Well, and there's another aspect of this, and the part that made me angry and I rarely, like, I, I, I usually am pretty calm on tv. You and I are doing this at night. I, I did a hit beforehand. If you've ever struggled to get pregnant, we, we. You know, this. All my kids are, I call miracle babies. They're, they're in vitro. We went through four years of not being able to get pregnant. We went through IUIs and everything else, and all the way down to, basically our only shot was in vitro. In vitro at the time and for the majority of people in this country, has never been covered by insurance. Yeah, you're writing hundreds of, I say, thousands of dollars of checks on a weekly basis when you're going through it. It is incredibly expensive. The fact that Fauci and others and pfizer knew that there are a lot of Americans that were. And me. It was a financial burden and strain. It was a. It was a real strain on us because it was. I mean, you're talking 40, 50 grand. Like, after. It's. When you're going through this, if it's an 80%, not only are you having to go through the retrieval, and then you're trying to get the. The viability, and you get the numbers back. And people cry when they don't get. They don't get what is considered viable right after the retrieval and after the fertilization. But then you go through the implantation of that, and if they knew that, we're basically giving you a drug that is going to kill what you just
Senator Ted Cruz
tried to create, which is equivalent of an abortion pill.
Ben Ferguson
Yes. Bingo.
Senator Ted Cruz
That's what Fauci was telling every pregnant mom in America to take.
Ben Ferguson
Yeah. And. And if you went through in vitro and you do all of that and you suffer through it, and the wife and all of the hormones and everything, the estrogen, all the things that you go through for over a year, and then you finally find out you're pregnant, and then you go get the COVID vaccine and then you lose that baby. The mental side of it is criminal that they were doing this. And there are. There are, I'm assuming, hundreds of thousands of women that lost their babies, minimum, during this time, just in the in vitro world. That's why I got so mad on tv, because I'm like, they knew this was happening, their doctors, and they didn't care.
Senator Ted Cruz
Look, it's infuriating, the callousness that if you're in public office and you don't have a concern. Again, let me underscore. I don't expect scientists, government officials, to have perfect knowledge. I don't expect them to be omniscient. But if you have uncertainties, you should acknowledge those uncertainties. You should be truthful, you should be honest. And for Fauci to know that there were tests showing 82% miscarriage rates with pregnant moms in the first trimester, that is a horrifying fact. And I do not understand. The guy was on TV more than John Wayne. I mean, he lived on tv. How do you not say, you know what? If you're a pregnant mom, especially in the first trimester, you might have to think about not having the second shot. There are at least real indications it could be dangerous for your baby. That would be an honest thing to say, but. But it would change Foushee's entire self image was I am the science. What I he's got. I know. And it's an arrogance look. And you talk about, about all the families that are struggling through in vitro to have babies, but just think about every mom that was pregnant and all of the babies who their parents desperately wanted to bring them in the world who may have been lost because of this. It is sickening and it's enraging and it demonstrates an arrogance and a callousness that even in this cynical time is really tragic.
Ben Ferguson
Two final questions on this. One, do you think we will see a new round of questioning specifically on this issue in Congress? And the second question that I have which makes me even more concerned is in the future when there is a genuine need for public health officials to do something or take serious steps on some sort of disease or something. I am, I think now no one's going to ever listen in their, in my lifetime again to the, to anyone that comes up with some vaccine if there's some terrible thing because you're going to say I can't believe you on anything. And that the erosion of public trust and public health officials is also a real threat to the, to the world, to this country. And I worry that. But I'm sorry, like if right now something happened, they said there's a new vaccine, I would laugh in their face. Based on what we're witnessing now in the fallout from COVID Look, it's a
Senator Ted Cruz
real problem that the public trust in science and experts is massively diminished. I want you to listen to this exchange on the Sunday show between Margaret Brennan and Dr. J. Bhattacharya because it shows the incredible left wing bias of the media. Even now they're not willing to acknowledge these questions. Even now they're just filled with covering hatred and covering their own rear end for their lies. Give a listen.
Ben Ferguson
Before we play that center, I want to remind everyone that's listening or watching this that your new book is coming out and it is incredible. It is about Clarence Thomas and you can pre order it right now. Here's more about how you can do that.
Senator Ted Cruz
On August 25th, my brand new book comes out. Going further, the Incomparable Clarence Thomas. It tells the story of Justice Thomas, one of the true American heroes, an incredible story. It's based on nine and a half hours of one on one exclusive interviews with Justice Thomas. Justice Thomas also joins us for Verdict with Ted Cruz, a one on one podcast to tell his story, both his life story and his incomparable jurisprudence. You can pre order it right now. At the website. Going further.com Going further.com Click on the link now and pre order the book today.
Ben Ferguson
All right, I want to get back to this clip center you just mentioned. Margaret Brennan. This on Sunday deals the CDC and again, the whole issue of trust in this country in our science community.
Host/Announcer
You were down in Atlanta this past week. This is one year since that horrific shooting at CDC headquarters. Officer David Rose was honored this past week. He was killed last year protecting CDC employees from a gunman. And we should note he was a combat veteran, a United States Marine who had just graduated five months prior from the police academy. Three kids left behind. The shooter was motivated by misinformation about the COVID vaccine. That is why he shot over 100 bullets into the windows of the CDC. Is enough being done to counter the this kind of misinformation?
Margaret Brennan
I mean, I should start with. I got to talk with Officer Rose's wife a few months back. One of the first things I did is I, you know, to honor him and his sacrifice in protecting the people that work at the CDs, the amazing people who worked at the CDC. We, you know, renamed the street that leads into the CDC after him. And it was a really nice event. I'll tell you. The thing is, I want to focus my attention on Officer Rose because I think what the shooter did was horrific. And I think, you know, you can talk about why shooters do things, but really, fundamentally.
Host/Announcer
Well, his father said he was brainwashed about the COVID vaccine and thought it was making him suicidal. That's.
Margaret Brennan
I mean, the thing is, like, to talk about the shooter puts the emphasis on somebody who's. I mean, I think we shouldn't be putting our emphasis on.
Host/Announcer
No, I am on misinformation about.
Margaret Brennan
I mean, I think the key thing is there's a loss of public trust in public health. That happened in part because of a lot of. Frankly, even on this network and on other networks, there was a particular single point of view put across during the COVID pandemic about how, you know, that led to things that really did cause harm to people. The school closures are probably the number one thing that this is not a
Host/Announcer
productive line of claims. We covered Covid in depth on this program like no other Sunday show did.
Margaret Brennan
I'm not blaming you specifically. What I'm saying is you want to talk about misinformation, the kinds of decisions and sort of the public sort of face of public health during the pandemic led to many people losing trust in public health.
Host/Announcer
The Trump administration officials.
Margaret Brennan
No, I Mean, I mean, like Biden. So Biden, for instance, under the Trump administration. But during the. Just so we're clear, the Biden administration censored me, right? They censored, they sent out direct attacks on people who disagreed on the COVID on sort of whether the COVID vaccine stopped him.
Host/Announcer
RFK Jr called the COVID vaccine the deadliest vaccine ever made. That is misinformation. And we're not being clear about that. And I think that is dangerous.
Margaret Brennan
Wouldn't you agree, Margaret? Because the Biden administration censored people and said, look, you can't even talk about COVID vaccine harms. Yeah. And I'm talking about why you have the kind of distrust that's led to the kind of sort of problems that you were talking about earlier in public health. That distrust was not caused by President Trump and it wasn't caused by Bobby. It was caused by a lot of sort of really fundamental. Yeah. Often spread by the government itself regarding natural immunity, closures of schools, closures of mask mandates. People lost their jobs because of these vaccine mandates that didn't make any public health sense. So if you want to talk about public trust, you have to embrace that fully. Right. You can't just talk about it in a narrow political way.
Host/Announcer
You're talking about a shooting at the CDC and an officer you said you just went to honor. That's what I was talking about. You're talking about something else.
Sports Announcer
No, no.
Margaret Brennan
You're trying. You're trying.
Host/Announcer
I also asked you about.
Margaret Brennan
What you're talking about is. What you're talking about is you're trying to blame the shooting on Bobby.
Host/Announcer
No, I'm not. I'm reading you what his father said.
Margaret Brennan
No, what you're reading, what you're, what you're saying, what you're implying is that somehow I'm not talking about him.
Host/Announcer
I'm talking about your visit.
Ben Ferguson
Yeah.
Host/Announcer
It is not being done.
Margaret Brennan
I think it's really unfortunate.
Host/Announcer
Since you want to.
Ben Ferguson
The self righteousness on CBS is, is pretty impressive. And now you put that clip in context of what we just learned about the miscarriage rate. How on earth can any of them now, moving forward not admit that, hey, we put a lot of propaganda out there and we silence anyone that was asking questions and we mark them as disinformation. We silence them and shut down their accounts on social media. Let's not forget that if you asked any questions on social media, you were red flagged by people in the government that were sending names. He mentioned it as well. He was shut down right they silenced him and now he's the guy at the cdc. Like it all is coming full circle.
Senator Ted Cruz
Look in that clip. The mask really slipped. And Margaret Brennan was obvious that she was just a propagandist for the left, that she was engaged in cya, that, that CBS and ABC and NBC and CNN and MSNBC and the Washington Post, the New York Times and all the Alphabet soup were engaged in propaganda. So if you tried early in the COVID pandemic to point out that the vaccine likely escaped from a Chinese government lab, you were silenced. You were prevented from saying that. By the way, this podcast in March and April of 2020 laid out the evidence on verdict. You could go back and listen. We were one of the very few places you could get that evidence because it was being silenced and stifled everywhere else. If you laid, out, as J. Bhattacharya talked about natural immunity, if you laid out how ineffective masks were, which they knew, if you laid out how idiotic shutdowns were, how much, how much it hurt kids, if you laid out the insanity of firing people from their jobs because they declined to get the vaccine. And to be clear, the Biden administration did that in the military, they did that in the FBI, they did that in customs and border patrol, they did that throughout the federal government, they forced large employers who did business with the government to do it. They tried to enforce this, that you were a pariah if you declined to get the vaccine. And again, it wasn't just on people in their 70s and 80s and 90s who were vulnerable. The smart way in this pandemic to approach it is protect the people who were particularly vulnerable. And they did it for everybody. They did it. They took 26 year old, young, healthy Navy Seals and fired them if they declined to get the vaccine. It was an abuse of power. And you know, Margaret Brennan is going on self righteously about misinformation. Her network and every other network, they were all active parties in that misinformation. And let me just ask Margaret this question. Cbs, NBC, abc, did any of you once say to a pregnant woman, yeah, think twice before you take this vaccine? Did anyone know? They said, take this or else you're killing old people. That was fundamentally dishonest and they were complicit in the dishonesty. And Fauci at least, and Pfizer at least knew they were being dishonest.
Ben Ferguson

And while much of the world has moved on to the next story, Israeli families continue living with the reality of terrorism, uncertainty and recovery. Communities remain on alert. Parents still think twice before sending their children to school. Families continue rebuilding their lives, knowing the next siren could come without warning. As Christians, we are all called to stand with God's children in times of need. And that's why the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews remains on the ground in the Holy Land each and every day, providing life saving aid and food for struggling families, emergency assistance, bomb shelters and critical support for those impacted by war. Now, even after the cameras leave and the headlines fade, the fellowship remains committed to Israel's most vulnerable. I want you to join the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews in praying for the people of Israel for protection, for strength and for lasting peace. Together, we can remind God's people that they're not alone. Strength. So stand with Israel in prayer today by visiting pray ifcj.org that's pray ifcj.org I want to move on to the Democratic Socialist of America. Their. Their. Their. Their main man keeps saying what he actually believes about people in this country. There's a true disdain for America, American culture. And this time the target was football. But it's not really about football, Center. This is about hating America and hating what American men represent. And he decided to say that he doesn't like football. Not because it's just like, you know, it's, I don't enjoy it. It's not a fun sport. You know, he says it's because he has a problem with men, American men that like watching football and they're a threat.
Senator Ted Cruz
So this is Abdul El Said. We've talked about his family's ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, about his radical Islamist views, about his radical communist views. You know, he's now decided to say, motherhood sucks. America sucks. Apple pie sucks. And if that was not bad enough, football sucks. Here, give a listen.
Margaret Brennan
Football is very much associated with a, you know, particularly masculine and oftentimes toxic, toxically masculine culture. And so much of it was about, you wanted to be able to get back up and play for your team and you, you really aren't allowed to show pain or vulnerability. That's part of the sport.
Ben Ferguson
That, that's, that's a whole new take, Center. I, I mean, when I hear that, I'm like, all right, let me get this straight. If I'm a dude and I like football, I like playing football or watching football or going to a football game, I, I, I have a problem. I'm a masculine dude and it's toxic masculinity to want to root for my Ole Miss Rebels. Like, that's, that's a new one. That's a new one on us.
Senator Ted Cruz
All right, so Ben, let me ask you an imperial empirical question.
Ben Ferguson
I cannot wait.
Senator Ted Cruz
Who is more apologetic for their, quote, masculinity and who is objectively less masculine? Abdul Al Said or James Talarika?
Ben Ferguson
That is a tough one. I, I don't, I mean, the dude who says that, that, that there's, how many genders is it? Six. That, six genders. And, and God, that would be Talarico, non binary binary against a dude that's,
Senator Ted Cruz
and by the way, Talarika repeatedly says, I weep for my masculinity.
Ben Ferguson
Yes. He also was hanging out with a kid drag queen star last weekend.
Senator Ted Cruz
An 11 year old drag queen. A little boy dressed as a woman that he was cheering on. So the interesting thing about Al Sayed, he claims at least that in high school he was captain of his football team. And I'll say the guy is, is pretty muscular and pretty built. But, but his entire campaign strategy seems to be to deceive the Tick Tock generation. So he puts out these show tunes of his lip syncing women singers and dancing in tight T shirts. And. And. All right, it's. It's almost as if this is why
Ben Ferguson
I'm not on Tick Tock. By the way, you just described it perfectly.
Senator Ted Cruz
Like, at some point, how exactly did they find an effeminate Muslim Islamist to run for Senate in Michigan and. And another one in Texas? Like. Like, what is it with Democrats when they're looking for manly?
Ben Ferguson
They go feminine every time. Now it's like, no, you can't be manly and be in our party. You have to be anti man, anti masculine, anti toxic masculinity. Which I guess means just being a dude.
Senator Ted Cruz
Like, I'm really wondering, did they have a messaging meeting where they sat around and they said, okay, what message do we want to run on? Oh, affordability. Yeah, yeah, we're for affordability. Okay, that's great. What else were we for? Football sucks. I hate football.
Ben Ferguson
Yeah, terrible.
Senator Ted Cruz
Yeah, because they hate Ben. Because they want you to be girly men.
Ben Ferguson
You bring up an interesting point. The other day we were having this discussion. It was a group of guys, college buddies, and they're like, did you ever. One of the guys was talking about, like, this. This whole war on men and masculine men and how if you're masculine, that somehow means you're, like, on the edge of being, like, a wife beater and, like, an angry, raging, testosterone, like, meathead.
Senator Ted Cruz
By the way, to be clear, when the Democrats find people like that, they're Graham Platner and they are that because it's a caricature they're trying to find. Oh, here's a manly man. A Nazi, communist, like, misogynist.
Ben Ferguson
That's.
Senator Ted Cruz
That's what you mean?
Ben Ferguson
Yes. Yeah, exactly. But one of them said to me, did you ever think in college ever the word man, I'm masculine. No, you're just like, I'm a dude. Like, it was. It was not this, like, to be clearing to.
Senator Ted Cruz
To be clear, masculinity. You and I did. Did grow up watching he man.
Ben Ferguson
That's true. That's true. And yeah, yeah, but. But it was this.
Senator Ted Cruz
And today, Today, today, today, the kids grow up watching she man. And you wonder what's wrong in the country.
Ben Ferguson
Yeah, well, that. That kind of explains it all, but at least now we know where he stands on football. So there's. There's that now. This is the Democratic Party. If you watch football, you're just beating your wife. That's what they're basically saying. Now, But.
Senator Ted Cruz
But it's not just that. While he's doing that and he's desperately trying to run away from his radical record. You know who else is running away from her radical record?
Ben Ferguson
No. The great AOC who used to be the radical but now is looking at the White House and wanting you to think she's not as crazy as she used to be.
Senator Ted Cruz
The queen mother of the communist woke nuts. Listen to her on the Sunday show this weekend. Running away from everything she's ever believed and everything she's ever advocated. Give a listen.
Sports Announcer
The.
Margaret Brennan
Abolished prisons, abolished police, which is also positions that have been taken by a lot of the progressive candidates who have won.
Ben Ferguson
How do you get around that?
Margaret Brennan
Those are not positions that are supported by.
Host/Announcer
I mean, I think that a lot of these races, even right now, they'll have a tendency to be nationalized, but these races ultimately are local and all politics are local. My understanding is that. Is that Francesca Hong has made clear her present stances to her.
Margaret Brennan
Yeah, she's moved away from a lot of.
Host/Announcer
Right. She's moved away from it. And I have a local city councilman that has this saying, woke one was crazy.
Margaret Brennan
One was crazy. Okay, that's.
Ben Ferguson
And I think I love how now middle of the road, she tries to be on this one. Right.
Senator Ted Cruz
AOC is the embodiment of Woke one was crazy. She is the author of Woke One. The phrases. She's trying to run away from things like open borders. Things like abolish ice.
Ben Ferguson
Didn't she cry at the kids in cages that Obama set up in that. Right, but then she said it was.
Senator Ted Cruz
She. She did.
Ben Ferguson
I'm pretty sure she was wailing at
Senator Ted Cruz
the wall in a white pantsuit. She cried at the cages. She wants open borders, abolished the police. That was aoc. The Green New Deal. That was aoc. All of this WOKE rhetoric that is now indefensible. AOC started it all. Now, look, it's not complicated. AOC is running for president, and what communists do is they lie. And she's trying to run away from her record. She's trying to excuse Francesca Wong, who's. Or Hong, who said. Said, you know, we should abolish Thanksgiving.
Ben Ferguson
Thanksgiving, yeah, we should abolish it.
Senator Ted Cruz
And. And AOC is trying to say, oh, woke one was crazy. We don't believe any of the stuff. We campaigned on and built a movement on and ran primaries on and. And defeated Democrat incumbents on and like, built everything we say. We don't believe any of that. Don't worry. Everything will be fine. There's a technical word for what she's doing that's called light. And there's a through line from AOC to Al said to Dr. Fauci. And they are dishonest ideological zealots. And the country's a lot worse because of them.
Ben Ferguson
All right, I love that we do predictions on the show. I got a prediction. I want to get your take. If it comes down in the primary, in the Democratic primary between Kamala Harris and aoc, I predict that AOC mops the floor with Harris. You agree or disagree?
Senator Ted Cruz
I fully agree. Kamala will not be the nominee. I think the two front runners right now on the Democrat side are AOC and Gavin Newsom. And I think the dark horse number three is John Ossoff.
Ben Ferguson
Ah, I like that. Okay, there you go. I. Yeah, I think. I think this is the democratic party now. I really do. Don't forget, we do the show Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Podcast Summary: The 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson
Episode: Bombshell Data: Fauci Covered up that Covid Vaccine Produced 82% Miscarriage Rate, plus El-Sayed Hates Football & AOC Runs away from Woke
Date: August 12, 2026
Host: Ben Ferguson | Guest: Senator Ted Cruz
This episode tackles a trio of hot-button topics: startling new data allegedly linking the COVID-19 vaccine to a dramatically high miscarriage rate, controversial comments from Democratic Socialist Abdul El-Sayed criticizing American football as “toxic masculinity,” and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) appearing to distance herself from her earlier progressive stances. Ben Ferguson and Senator Ted Cruz offer pointed, highly critical commentary throughout, focusing on government and media accountability, cultural shifts, and what they frame as hypocrisy among progressive leaders.
Opening the Story (01:35):
Ferguson and Cruz begin with new revelations, citing “raw data” from vaccine manufacturers and government emails showing an alleged 82% miscarriage rate among women who received a second COVID-19 vaccine shot during their first trimester.
“If you are a woman and you took the COVID vaccine and you had a miscarriage, there is a very good chance you were lied to by those that said trust the science. With a shocking rate of miscarriage of 80 plus percent.” – Ben Ferguson [01:35]
Data Origins and Political Cover-up (04:56; 05:55):
Senator Cruz names Senators Ron Johnson and Rand Paul as having released emails implicating Dr. Anthony Fauci in recognizing this risk and covering it up, quoting internal reports and comparing the miscarriage rate to effects from chemical abortion drugs (e.g., RU486).
“The raw data revealed an 82% miscarriage rate in women vaccinated during the first trimester. These figures mirror the effects of chemical abortion drugs such as RU486.” – Ted Cruz [05:55]
Government Messaging and Misinformation (06:57–07:45):
A clip of former CDC Director Rochelle Walensky recommending COVID vaccination for pregnant women is played as an example of the alleged cover-up.
“CDC recommends that pregnant people receive the COVID 19 vaccine.” – Rochelle Walensky [06:57]
Ferguson and Cruz accuse health officials and Pfizer of intentionally hiding these risks and prioritizing profit and political ideology over “moms who lost babies.” They criticize liability protections given to pharmaceutical companies (09:39–11:00).
Emotional Testimonies and the IVF Angle (12:55–15:11):
Ferguson describes his personal struggle with infertility and the emotional/financial toll of failed in vitro fertilization (IVF) attempts, expressing outrage at those who “knew” about the risks.
Moral and Political Repercussions (15:11–17:58):
Cruz argues that the core failure was a lack of honest communication about scientific uncertainties, stating:
“How do you not say, you know what? If you're a pregnant mom, especially in the first trimester, you might have to think about not having the second shot? There are at least real indications it could be dangerous for your baby. That would be an honest thing to say, but… Foushee's entire self image was ‘I am the science.’” – Ted Cruz [15:11]
Public Health Trust and Future Consequences (17:01–17:58):
Ferguson worries that trust in the public health establishment is “massively diminished” and that Americans will be skeptical of future vaccines or government health warnings.
“If right now something happened, they said there's a new vaccine, I would laugh in their face.” – Ben Ferguson [17:01]
CBS Segment Dissected (17:58–24:18):
Ferguson and Cruz play and comment on a contentious exchange between Margaret Brennan, Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, and a CBS anchor regarding the CDC, vaccine misinformation, and public trust.
“I think the key thing is there's a loss of public trust in public health. That happened in part because... there was a particular single point of view put across during the COVID pandemic... that led to things that really did cause harm to people.” – Dr. Jay Bhattacharya [21:04]
Media Bias and Accountability (24:18–26:35):
Cruz argues the “mask slipped” in this clip, revealing mainstream media as “propagandists for the left” who actively silenced dissent.
“CBS, NBC, ABC—did any of you once say to a pregnant woman, ‘yeah, think twice before you take this vaccine?’ Did anyone? No. They said, take this or else you're killing old people. That was fundamentally dishonest and they were complicit in the dishonesty.” – Ted Cruz [25:00]
Football as ‘Toxic Masculinity’ (30:51):
The conversation shifts as Ben Ferguson plays a clip of Abdul El-Sayed linking football to toxic masculinity and American cultural problems.
“Football is very much associated with a particularly masculine and often toxically masculine culture. And so much of it was about, you wanted to be able to get back up and play for your team and you, you really aren't allowed to show pain or vulnerability.” – Abdul El-Sayed [30:51]
Cultural Reaction (31:09–32:47):
Ben and Cruz mock these comments, suggesting Democrats have an “anti-masculinity” agenda and linking it to perceived feminization of the party’s image.
“How exactly did they find an effeminate Muslim Islamist to run for Senate in Michigan and another one in Texas? What is it with Democrats?... When they're looking for manly, they go feminine every time.” – Ted Cruz [32:50–33:23]
AOC’s Shifting Stances (35:07–36:17):
The hosts play a clip of Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez appearing to moderate her positions on policing and "woke" issues, teasing her about the phrase “Woke One was crazy.”
“AOC is the embodiment of Woke One was crazy. She is the author of Woke One... She’s trying to run away from things like open borders, things like abolish ICE.” – Ted Cruz [36:22]
Political Calculations (36:43–37:56):
Cruz and Ferguson theorize that AOC is repositioning herself for a White House run, likening her shift to political lying.
“There’s a technical word for what she’s doing—that’s called lying. And there’s a through line from AOC to Al-Sayed to Dr. Fauci: They are dishonest ideological zealots.” – Ted Cruz [37:20]
Prediction for Democratic Primary (37:56–38:23):
Ben predicts AOC could defeat Kamala Harris in a primary; Cruz agrees, naming AOC and Gavin Newsom as probable frontrunners.
On CDC Recommendations:
“CDC recommends that pregnant people receive the COVID 19 vaccine.” – Rochelle Walensky (played by hosts) [06:57]
On Vaccine Data:
“The raw data revealed an 82% miscarriage rate in women vaccinated during the first trimester.” – Ted Cruz [05:55]
On Trust in Science:
“The public trust in science and experts is massively diminished.” – Ted Cruz [17:58]
On Mainstream Media:
“CBS, NBC, ABC—did any of you once say to a pregnant woman, ‘yeah, think twice before you take this vaccine?’ Did anyone? No.” – Ted Cruz [25:00]
On Masculinity and Football:
“If you’re masculine… that somehow means you’re, like, on the edge of being, like, a wife beater and, like, an angry, raging, testosterone, like, meathead.” – Ben Ferguson [34:05]
On AOC:
“AOC is the embodiment of Woke One was crazy. She is the author of Woke One.” – Ted Cruz [36:22]
Throughout, the hosts use emphatic, sometimes inflammatory language. The tone is urgent, skeptical of mainstream institutions, and geared towards a conservative audience, with frequent expressions of outrage, personal anecdotes, and humor at the expense of political opponents.
This episode characteristically delivers provocative opinions and headlines, blending political commentary with cultural grievance. Whether listeners agree with the premises, it’s a brisk and unapologetically partisan review of recent political controversies and their cultural fallout.
