Good Saturday morning to you. Ben Ferguson with you. And these are some of the stories that you may have missed that we talked about this week on the 47 Morning Update. First up, a protester at Columbia University has direct ties to a terrorist organization. We have the indictment and why the Trump administration is now going after Colombia, getting rid of their taxpayer dollars that you were sending by the millions. We also are going to cover what's going on in Colorado and more information about a radical terrorist and his plan to kill Jewish innocent elderly people. And finally, one of the biggest frauds in American government history, this time dealing with food stamps, has been uncovered. And you'll be angry to find out just how much of your tax money was stolen. It's the 47 Morning Update and it start right now. Story number one, the Trump administration is very upset right now with many American universities who are allowing anti Semitism to explode on college campuses. Columbia is a perfect example of this where a protester and self proclaimed Jew hater, we now have learned, had direct links to Hamas terror cell. This coming from disturbing phone records as the DOJ is revealing all of this. A Jew hater, quote unquote, who protested against Israel on Columbia University's campus and contemplated, we now have learned, setting a student on fire allegedly had a direct link to the Hamas deadly Al Qassam Brigade militant group. The Post is now revealing the man is now awaiting trial after being indicted on three federal hate crimes against Jewish people. He was a member of a chat group that received regular updates from the terrorist organization as well. And the accusation is the first evidence of an agitator receiving information directly from Hamas and taking action during protests on the University of Columbia campus. Now, the individual was 20, I want to be clear. He was not a Columbia student, but he was on the campus protesting. He frequently wore the green headband used by Hamas terrorists and boasted to friends about having relatives overseas who were actually a part of the terror group. This all coming from the DOJ court filing. While on Columbia's campus during protests in April of last year, the individual allegedly texted pal saying he lit a flare and considered lighting someone on fire, but that there was, quote, too many people around him to take on, otherwise he would have hurt them. Columbia University said it has, quote, no record of the man being on campus and wanted to, quote, be clear that this individual is not affiliated with our university in any way. All right, so why did you allow him to protest on your campus? The university added that the school, quote, strongly condemns anti Semitism and violence and we are horrified by the violence and hate crimes described in the incident. Well, you can say that all you want, but the reality is Columbia University has allowed this hate to grow on its campus. Which brings me to the second part of the story. The Trump administration is now escalating pressure on Colombia as the Education Department is questioning the university's accreditation altogether. Here's more of the story from FOX News.
Ryan Seacrest
The Trump administration is not backing down as it continues its crackdown on campus anti Semitism. The State Department is vowing to investigate the visa status of anti Israel protesters who were arrested after storming the school library this week.
Ben Ferguson
The nature of our promise that people who are in this country with a visa and laws or affect the nature of what's important to our country when it comes to our foreign policy and national security will be acted on in that regard. And yes, he said it and I believe him.
Ryan Seacrest
And that's the word you can take for it. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik says that schools like Columbia just aren't paying attention here. Listen to what she has to say.
Joe Getty
And the fact that these universities have allowed that to perpetuate shows that they have been incapable of showing strong leadership to allow safety for students. And they've allowed this anti Semitism to continue to rise. U.S. taxpayers do not want their dollars to prop up institutions that are unsafe for Jewish students. And that has been the case at places like Columbia.
Jack Armstrong
One thing's for sure, the Trump administration isn't screwing around with anti Semitism on college campuses and they're going to make it hurt for universities that refuse to rein it in. So well done to the Trump admin for doing this. They're not holding back and they're stopping anti Semitism, especially when your tax dollars are going to these universities that have been looking the other way for far too long.
Ryan Seacrest
Next story number two.
Jack Armstrong
There's one thing that we know for sure. The media lied to us about the Egyptian illegal who lit innocent people on fire in Boulder, Colorado. We also know that the police chief in Boulder, Colorado played politics and didn't want to tell you the truth about this being a terrorist act. Well, that's not all they're covering up. And that's part of reason why we do this show. So you know exactly what is happening in this investigation. One thing is for sure is the Egyptian illegal immigrant who was led into this country during the Biden administration said he, quote, wanted to kill all Zionist people and had planned the attack for at least a year. Muhammad Solomon has just been charged with a federal hate crime. Here is more of what we've learned from my good friends at fox and Kayleigh McEnany.
Ben Ferguson
We have some new details. Federal authorities releasing the charges for the man accused of setting eight people on fire in that targeted terror attack in Boulder, Colorado. Officials say he's now being charged with a hate crime. That's federally. And this is what they found. They found at least 14 unlit Molotov cocktails on his person along with that makeshift flamethrower. The Molotovs comprised of glass wine, cariff bottles or ball jars containing clear liquid and red rags hanging out of the bottles. He made these himself. In fact, it says that he researched on YouTube how to do this. And later during an interview with the officials, the suspect stated outright and he's talking. He stated he wanted to, quote, kill all Zionist people and wished they were all dead. He also stated that he would do it again. Emily. He also said during this interview he specifically targeted the Zionist group that had gathered in Boulder. He knew they planned to meet that day, Sunday at 1pm he arrived at 12:55 and waited for them.
Joe Getty
I love that. He also said that he's been planning this attack for over a year, but he wanted to wait until his daughter graduated because he gets to make that choice. But what about the choice of the Jewish victims who don't get to make a choice when they are attacked or don't get to make a choice if they die, which by the way, they're with an attempt to murder. Then the hate crime charge brings a life imprisonment sentence, which I hope he gets. This is so foul. And he also said that he learned on YouTube how to make a Molotov cocktail. This is what is being fomented right now. That someone has the audacity of the ability and the actionable information to Molotov cocktail and then flamethrow against peaceful Jewish citizens and gets the luxury of doing so after his daughter graduates, after he drives across the country and builds his Molotov cocktail with gas at the gas station. This is absolutely unacceptable. We know that there are questions surrounding his identity Given that he's for some reason 21 on his identification, he shouldn't have been in this country. And now people are suffering for it, horrifically, including a Holocaust survivor.
Jack Armstrong
As you pointed out earlier, a Holocaust survivor is one of the victims of this individual. So the question you have to ask yourself is this, why is the media still covering up this story? Why are they not wanting to tell you that the terror suspect said, quote, he would do it again and showed no remorse to those as he was speaking in law enforcement? This also brings up another big story. We also have the largest ICE raid that's just been conducted, resulting in over 1400 illegals being arrested in Massachusetts. And the question is, how many more terrorists are out there that came to this country illegally? Just like Mohammed Solomon, the man who came from Egypt. Well, take a listen to what the ICE director had to say when talking about why they were forced to go into Massachusetts and do a massive cleanup.
Ben Ferguson
In the meantime, in Massachusetts, you had, I think, the largest ever raid, or at least netting of arrests of 1,461 people. That's the largest so far. And those that were arrested, 790 of them had criminal convictions and 277 had what we were just talking about, final orders of removal or deportation. Tell us more.
Kayleigh McEnany
No. And Dana, it was a great operation. And the fact that it was over the course of a month really shows the commitment of the men and women of ICE here in Massachusetts and all over New England. And we took a whole of government approach. We used all of our partners to include diplomatic security, the U.S. marshals Service, ATF, FBI, DEA, to really locate and arrest these criminal aliens. One highlight for this operation is the fact that it was successful because we worked with our joint partners in a sanctuary state like Massachusetts, where it's extremely difficult. Where we had Operation Tidal Wave last month in Florida, there was a week long operation working with our state partners. That's a state that cooperates with us. Here in Massachusetts, we don't have any cooperation from the local departments or from the state, which makes it extremely difficult for ICE to get out there and find these bad guys.
Jack Armstrong
You think about how many prospective terrorists are among us that came across the border and were given, in essence, the ability to stay here and protection from the Biden Harris regime. When you look at what's happening in Massachusetts, where the state and local authorities are refusing to take out the bad guys, it tells you just how dangerous it is for every American, no matter where you live.
Ryan Seacrest
And here is story number three.
Jack Armstrong
It is a story that is shocking but becoming all too normal. Six people including a USDA employee have been busted in what is being described as a 66 million dollar food stamp fraud scheme. A USDA employee responsible for identifying SNAP fraud allegedly sold hundreds of EBT numbers enabling over 36 million in fraudulent snap redemptions at unauthorized stores. Michael Keough reportedly orchestrated a network that supplied the approximately 160 unauthorized EBT terminals to stores across the New York area to illegally process more than 30 million in EBT transactions. This is now going down in history as one of the largest food stamp frauds ever. The USDA employee and five others that have been now charged in the multi million dollar food stamp fraud and bribery scheme are being looked at for exactly what they con artists that had access within our government to pull this off. The question now is where else could this be done around the country and how much of your tax dollars are being stolen by fraudulent terminals and fake people and fake food stamps that are actually just going to let people get extremely rich. There is one good thing. It's very clear now that the Trump administration is going all in to find this type of waste, fraud and abuse. And yes, Elon Musk may have moved on from what was always going to be a temporary role with doge, but it doesn't mean that the work is stopping anytime soon. And this is a perfect example of it.
