Donald Trump
This should have been done a long time ago by Biden. But Biden was an incompetent president. He couldn't do anything. He didn't know where he was going. He had no clue. And we've had numerous successful evenings and days in that area. The Houthis are absolutely on the run. The worst of them have been killed.

Good Wednesday morning Ben Ferguson with you. It's nice to have you on the 47 Morning Update. And here are the three big stories that you need to know about. First up, the president signing an executive order to secure America's elections, meaning that your vote might actually count more than ever before. Also, the Trump administration is cutting off federal funding to Planned Parenthood. Between 2019 and 2021, Planned Parenthood performed 1.11 million abortions, and much of it was subsidized with your tax dollars. I'll have the breakdown of that story in just a moment. And finally, the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem coming out saying we are preparing to eliminate fema. Could it be because of all the waste, fraud and abuse? It's the 47 Morning Update, and it starts right now. Story number one, Donald Trump making liberal heads explode. Why? Because he said enough is enough with election fraud. The president signing an executive order to secure our elections. This is the president at the White House in his own words on the executive order.
White House Staff
Lastly, sir, we have an executive order for your attention on the very important subject of election integrity. We believe that this, this executive order is the farthest reaching executive action taken in the history of the Republic to secure our elections. Among numerous other aspects of this executive order, this is going to cut down on illegal immigrants on the voter rolls, ensure that the Department of Homeland Security and the data that they have available is being fully weaponized to ensure that illegal immigrants aren't voting. This will include a citizenship question on the federal voting form for the first time. This executive order instructs the EAC to cut federal funding to states that don't take reasonable steps to secure their election. This calls on the Department of Justice to vigorously prosecute election crimes, particularly in states that we don't believe are in compliance with federal law around election integrity. I could go on and on for a while, sir, but compliance with national Election Day rules, cracking down and investigating and prosecuting foreign interference in our elections, revoking President Biden's Executive Order 14019, which essentially weaponized government to corrupt and pollute our election process. There's a lot in here, but we believe that these are very important steps that we need to be taking as an administration, at your direction, to ensure that our elections are as secure as they possibly can be.
Donald Trump
Election fraud. You've heard the term we'll end it. Hopefully, this will go a long way toward ending it. There are other steps that we will be taking as an example in the coming weeks, and we think we'll be able to end up getting fair elections. Perhaps some people think I shouldn't be complaining because we won in a landslide, but we got to straighten out our election. This country is so sick because of the election, the fake elections and the bad elections. And we're going to straighten it out one way or the other. And it's an honor to sign this one, to sign all of them, but to sign this one is a great honor.
Bach
So let's go through the list of things that are going to drive the left insane. You actually have to show proof of citizenship for voting. What a novel idea. You can't get into virtually any other government program without showing proof of citizenship. But when you show up to vote in many liberal areas of the country, like, nah, we'll just trust your word. Also, funds tied to integrity compliance are involved in the executive order and paper ballots. There's something else called checks and balances, as many do not trust the electronic machines. Also, the Attorney General is going to track election fraud, making it a much bigger issue so that when those who cheat are caught, there will be held to pay. Also, a crackdown on late ballots. This is so important for election integrity because after someone sees the results, allowing in late ballots can also be abused in a major way to alter or change the outcome of an election. And finally, the President, United States of America, in this executive action axes, Biden's voter turnout executive order that was meant to allow for more waste, fraud and abuse of our election day system. So the present Donald Trump, I gotta say, congratulations and job well done. He also teased we're gonna be doing more and we're expecting to hear more about that from the White House in the coming days.
Ben Ferguson
Next story number two.
Bach
In a move that may become one of the most important moves from Donald Trump's entire time as being President, United States of America, he made good on a promise to protect unborn children in this country. The Trump administration is about to cut off federal funding to Plan Parenthood. Just how bad is it? Between 2019 and 2021, Planned Parenthood performed 1.11 million abortions while receiving approximately 1.78 billion in your tax dollars federal funding. Now, this is an average of $592 million every year. If you look at their total budget, your tax dollars are covering over 40% of their, quote, revenue at Planned Parent. You to believe that the money we send from the federal government does not go to abortions, it's very clear it subsidizes those 1.11 million abortions over the last two years that we have data on because we're giving them so much funding. Overall, nobody is being fooled. Planned Parenthood, the money is used for these abortion factories. And that is exactly why the President, United States of America, is standing up for American taxpayer dollars, saying they must not be used to kill innocent unborn. B. Now, as of March 25th, the Trump administration is planning to freeze approximately $27.5 million in federal family planning grants to certain organizations, including Planned Parenthood affiliates. This action aims to investigate whether these funds were used for diversity efforts, ensuring compliance with President Trump's executive order and federal law. The potential suspension will impact services, no doubt. At Planned Parenthood, we know that Planned Parenthood has 4,000 clinics and Planned Parenthood is, well, the number one abortion provider in America and actually in the world. Vice President J.D. vance has previously indicated that a future Trump administration would seek to defund Planned Parenthood, stating at the time, quote, our view is we don't think the taxpayers should fund late term abortions. In January of this year, President Trump signed Executive Order 14182 titled Enforcing the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits the use of federal taxpayer dollars for elective abortions. This order revoked prior related orders and directed agencies to implement the policy. There was also another very important question that was asked of Donald Trump. It was during a press conference where it came out that the funding was going to stop to Planned Parenthood. And there was another question asked by a reporter specifically about Planned Parenthood selling aborted baby body parts. Here's the question that the President wanted to answer.
Donald Trump
If Planned Parenthood is defunded, would you.
Bach
Look into the harvesting of baby organs.
Donald Trump
That they've done throughout the years and.
Bach
Maybe go after some criminal prosecution on that?
Donald Trump
Well, I think you're talking about a subject that is a heated subject and we'll look into it. We're going to look into everything. But that's certainly a subject that's been debated for a long time and we will look into it.
Bach
Yeah, it's very obvious the President, United States of America is not going to just stop with the funding, as he put it. We will look into it.
Ben Ferguson
And finally, story number three.
Bach
We all know that a core mission of the Trump administration is to truly get rid of waste, fraud and abuse. But just how bad is that fraud and abuse, especially when it comes to agencies like fema? Apparently, it may be so bad now that the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, under Donald Trump is saying, we are preparing to eliminate FEMA altogether. We also know that FEMA has picked winners and losers, helping some Americans when they need the emergency help and forgetting others, depending on where you live in the country. Homeland Security Secretary Christine Ngo has told the Trump administration that preparations are underway to eliminate the Federal Emergency Management Agency. It was a quick comment, by the way, on Monday with no related lead in that. According to the Hill that got this scoop, President Donald Trump responded with, quote, that's great, great job. And what seemed to be a reaction to her preceding comments on border security Now, Trump said previously that he does not have a favorable view of FEMA and has considered its elimination. Senator Peter Welch, a Democrat from Vermont, posted on X his response nome's statement on eliminating FEMA by saying this Vermont has been hit hard by flooding the last two years and I'm the first person to say that we need to make improvements to fema, but eliminating it altogether would make disasters more deadly and destructive and make it much harder for communities to recover. Trump, by the way, signed an executive order last week setting the stage for a major overhaul of federal disaster relief programs. And let's be clear, the president is not trying to eliminate disaster relief help from the federal government. He is, however, clearly trying to get rid of some of the waste and abuse of programs under FEMA's directive. It read in part, this executive order delivers on President Trump's commitment to shift power from Washington to the American people. The order laid the foundation for greater state and local control of emergencies and funding. The order enables states and local governments to better understand, plan for and address the needs of their citizens by reducing the complexity of federal preparedness and response policies. In other words, Donald Trump is saying states know what they need and local communities know what they need in a disaster more than bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. now, there is no official closing or end date announced for FEMA or any other federal office or department that responds to disasters. Clearly, the President wants to make sure that this is done in a very responsible way and most importantly, that emergency management response from the government is much better than it is right now. You don't have to look very far back in history to see also that FEMA may have been involved in significant political actions, picking winners and losers in the United States, depending on if you're in a liberal state or a liberal city or a conservative state or a conservative city. President's made it clear that politics shouldn't matter when you're dealing with emergencies, especially when you're someone that may have lost everything, your home, your cars, and even had a job that disappeared because of a disaster. And this is exactly why the President has the backing of the American people on this issue.

The 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson: Executive Order to Secure Elections, Defunding Planned Parenthood, and FEMA Overhaul
Release Date: March 26, 2025
Overview
In the March 26, 2025 episode of The 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson, host Ben Ferguson delves into three pivotal stories shaping the political landscape of America. The episode provides an in-depth analysis of President Donald Trump's recent executive actions, including his administration's efforts to secure elections, the decision to defund Planned Parenthood, and the proposed overhaul of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Supported by insightful commentary and notable quotes, Ferguson offers listeners an unfiltered perspective on these critical issues.
1. Executive Order to Secure America’s Elections
Timestamp: 02:26 - 06:54
Summary: The episode opens with the discussion of President Donald Trump's signing of an executive order aimed at securing the integrity of American elections. This order is portrayed as the most comprehensive executive action in the history of the Republic concerning election security.
Key Points:
Election Integrity Focus: The executive order targets reducing illegal voter registrations by incorporating measures such as adding a citizenship question to federal voting forms. This move is intended to ensure that only eligible citizens participate in elections.
Federal Oversight and Funding: The order mandates the Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to cut federal funding to states that fail to implement sufficient election security measures. Additionally, it empowers the Department of Justice to prosecute election-related crimes vigorously.
Revocation of Previous Orders: President Trump officially revokes President Biden's Executive Order 14019, which was criticized for allegedly weaponizing government processes to undermine election integrity.
Notable Quotes:
Donald Trump at [04:57]:
"Election fraud. You've heard the term we'll end it. Hopefully, this will go a long way toward ending it."
Ben Ferguson at [02:26]:
"The 47 Morning Update starts right now."
Bach at [05:32]:
"So let's go through the list of things that are going to drive the left insane... [including] showing proof of citizenship for voting."
Analysis: Ferguson and his co-hosts emphasize the administration's commitment to election integrity, framing the executive order as a necessary step to restore faith in the electoral process. They highlight the controversial aspects of the order, such as the citizenship question, and discuss its potential implications on voter turnout and election fairness. The segment underscores the administration's stance against what they perceive as systemic fraud and the need for stringent measures to protect the sanctity of elections.
2. Defunding Planned Parenthood
Timestamp: 06:55 - 10:28
Summary: The second major topic of the episode is the Trump administration's initiative to cut federal funding to Planned Parenthood. This move is positioned as a fulfillment of a campaign promise to protect unborn children by eliminating taxpayer support for abortion services.
Key Points:
Financial Impact: Between 2019 and 2021, Planned Parenthood performed 1.11 million abortions while receiving approximately $1.78 billion in federal funding. The administration aims to freeze $27.5 million in federal family planning grants to Planned Parenthood affiliates.
Policy Enforcement: The action aligns with Executive Order 14182, titled Enforcing the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal taxpayer dollars from being used for elective abortions. This order revokes previous directives and mandates compliance with federal law regarding abortion funding.
Potential Investigations: President Trump indicates that the administration will investigate allegations of Planned Parenthood selling aborted baby body parts, suggesting possible criminal prosecutions related to unethical practices.
Notable Quotes:
Donald Trump at [09:59]:
"If Planned Parenthood is defunded, would you... maybe go after some criminal prosecution on that?"
Ben Ferguson at [06:55]:
"The Trump administration is about to cut off federal funding to Planned Parenthood."
Bach at [09:55]:
"It's very clear it subsidizes those 1.11 million abortions over the last two years that we have data on because we're giving them so much funding."
Analysis: Ferguson presents the defunding of Planned Parenthood as a significant victory for the administration's pro-life agenda. The discussion highlights the substantial financial reliance of Planned Parenthood on federal funds and frames the funding cuts as a necessary measure to prevent taxpayer dollars from supporting abortion services. The potential investigation into unethical practices serves to underscore the administration's commitment to accountability and ethical governance. The segment also touches on Vice President J.D. Vance's prior statements, reinforcing the administration's long-term strategy to eliminate federal support for abortion providers.
3. FEMA Overhaul and Potential Elimination
Timestamp: 10:29 - 13:54
Summary: The final story tackles the Trump administration's plans to overhaul or potentially eliminate the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's remarks suggest a drive to eradicate waste, fraud, and abuse within federal disaster relief programs.
Key Points:
Elimination Announcement: Secretary Noem announces preparations to eliminate FEMA, citing inefficiencies and politicization within the agency. This move has elicited criticism from Democratic Senator Peter Welch.
Presidential Support: President Trump responds positively to Noem's comments, praising the effort to address issues within FEMA and emphasizing the administration's dedication to reducing bureaucratic waste.
Executive Order for Disaster Relief Reform: The administration recently signed an executive order aimed at shifting disaster relief power from the federal government to state and local authorities. This order seeks to simplify federal preparedness and response policies to better align with the specific needs of communities.
Notable Quotes:
Senator Peter Welch at [13:00]:
"Eliminating FEMA altogether would make disasters more deadly and destructive and make it much harder for communities to recover."
Donald Trump at [13:00]:
"That's great, great job."
Ben Ferguson at [10:28]:
"It's very obvious the President is not going to just stop with the funding, as he put it. We will look into it."
Analysis: The discussion frames the proposed FEMA overhaul as part of a broader initiative to decentralize federal disaster management, arguing that state and local governments are better equipped to handle emergencies. Ferguson and his co-hosts defend the administration's stance, asserting that FEMA has been plagued by inefficiency and favoritism. They argue that eliminating or restructuring FEMA will lead to more effective disaster response and reduce governmental overreach. Critics like Senator Welch are presented as overlooking the potential consequences of dismantling a key federal agency responsible for emergency management, thereby framing the administration's actions as a bold and necessary reform.
Conclusion
In this episode, Ben Ferguson effectively navigates through three major political developments under President Donald Trump's administration. By dissecting the executive order on election security, the defunding of Planned Parenthood, and the proposed FEMA overhaul, the episode offers listeners a comprehensive understanding of these policies and their intended impacts. Through the inclusion of direct quotes and detailed analysis, Ferguson ensures that both supporters and skeptics of the administration gain valuable insights into the motives and implications behind these significant actions. The episode underscores the administration's focus on election integrity, pro-life policies, and governmental efficiency, positioning these measures as essential steps toward reshaping America's political and administrative landscape.
Notable Quotes Summary:
Donald Trump on Election Fraud [04:57]:
"Election fraud. You've heard the term we'll end it."
Bach on Citizenship Proof for Voting [05:32]:
"You actually have to show proof of citizenship for voting."
Donald Trump on Planned Parenthood Funding Inquiry [09:59]:
"Maybe go after some criminal prosecution on that?"
Senator Peter Welch on FEMA Elimination [13:00]:
