But just think about the Department of State of the United States had set up an office to monitor the social media posts and commentary of American citizens to identify them as vectors of disinformation. When we know that the best way to combat disinformation is freedom of speech and transparency. And so that's what we're going to be in the business of doing. We're not going to have an office that does that.

You're listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
Good Friday morning, Ben Ferguson with you. It's so nice to have you on the 47 Morning Update. And my, oh my, do we have a big show for you. Also want to remind you, sure. You hit that subscribe or download button wherever you're listening to this podcast so you do not miss an episode. With that being said, the first big story. Well, you can add human trafficking to the list of the quote Maryland man. You may remember Democrats are obsessed with an illegal immigrant who is an MS.13 gang member. He's also now suspected of human trafficking. And we have the traffic stop tape and we're going to play it for you in just a moment. Also, Elon Musk and his DOGE team have been hard at work, work day after day after day. And now the staff is revealing that the Institute of Peace was not peaceful at all. In fact giving six figure contracts to former members of the Taliban that story as well. And finally, the media lied yet again and Donald Trump called him out after they claimed that Mike Waltz had been fired from the Trump administration. In reality, Trump gave him a major administration post at the United Nations. We'll give you the background on that story and how the media got it wrong, maybe on purpose. It's the 47 Morning Update and it starts right now. The media and the Democrats have called him the quote Maryland man or the Maryland father. The MS.13 gang member who had protective orders put out against him by his wife and is a man that is apparently a member of a terrorist organization. Well, you can now add suspected human trafficking to to the rap sheet of the quote Maryland man. Tennessee has now released the body cam footage of a traffic stop that shows state troopers and their hands tied despite the smuggling clues that he was smuggling people across the United States of America. The Highway Patrol releasing that body cam footage of 2022 and their encounter with Albergo Garcia where state troopers suspected that he was involved in human trafficking. Garcia was 29. He is a Salvadorian who illegally entered the United States in 2011 and in 2019 was issued a deportation Order. Now we have lots of paperwork on the quote. Maryland father two previous judges concluded that Abrego Garcia was likely affiliated with MS.13. He was deported in March and sent to the terrorist confinement center in El Salvador. The Tennessee Highway Patrol pulled over Alberto Garcia on November 30th of 2020. The body cam video that's now been obtained by Fox News through a public records request shows Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers pulling him over. And he had eight other individuals in the car for what was initially a speeding violation. All the people in the car are male. How many rows have you got in there? Four seats. Four rows of seats. A state trooper can be heard saying, did y'all put an extra one in? Referring to a row of seats. Huh? Did y'all put another one in? No. Question mark. They come like this. I've never seen one with that many seats in it. The police officer is then heard saying, he's hauling these people for money. Another state trooper said, in fact, I want you to hear the actual body cam footage and exactly what they had to say. Listen carefully.
State Trooper 1
You know what you got, Red?
Ben Ferguson
Huh?
State Trooper 1
You know what you got here, Red? No, it's. He's hauling these people for money is what he's doing. But sometimes they come angled opener.
Ben Ferguson
No, but.
State Trooper 1
There'S eight people in there.
Ben Ferguson
Yeah, I know.
State Trooper 1
I didn't know that.
Ben Ferguson
Yeah.
State Trooper 1
So he's getting paid, all these people, probably to Maryland, I would say, if I had my guess.
Ben Ferguson
To make matters worse, a source familiar with the situation has also told Fox News Digital that there was, in fact, a conversation in the redacted portion of the video where state troopers in Tennessee discussed calling U.S. immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE. The troopers called ICE, which didn't come to pick up Albergo Garcia. The source added that when state troopers entered Albergo Garcia's name into the National Crime Information Center, a warning appeared that showed he was suspected of being a gang member or a terrorist. In the video, you can hear the troopers saying Albergo Garcia was in possession of $1,400 in CA cash, saying it was probably his payment. A trooper also noted that Obrego Garcia had an invalid Maryland driver's license. And the state trooper who pulled over Garcia said they suspected he was involved in human trafficking. That according to part of what you just heard on the body camera video during the traffic stop, Abrego Garcia was heard changing his story several times as well. Garcia first said he was headed back to his residence in Maryland, then said he was going to a different town for work. He Said the group of individuals were initially driving from St. Louis, Missouri. Court records filed in Prince George County's Maryland also revealed that Obrego Garcia has a history of being a violent wife beater, quote unquote. In 2021 court filing, Jennifer Alberto Garcia's wife, wrote at this point, quote, I'm afraid to be close to him. I have multiple photos, videos of how violent he can be and all the bruises he has left on me. The U.S. district judge previously ordered the U.S. government to, quote, facilitate Alberto Garcia's return to the United States of America. As the Democratic Party continues to double down, saying that this is a Maryland man or a Maryland father, we also now know this. Bill Mallusion tweeting out this, the current checklist for the, quote, Maryland man, the Salvadorian illegal alien is now including alleged MS.13 gang member reaffirmed in immigration court by a judge accused of being a repeat wife beater, domestic abuser by his own wife multiple times suspected of human trafficking in Tennessee while driving convicted human trafficker's vehicle with eight people and no luggage in it from Texas to Maryland. Kamar Albera, Garcia's wife, written allegations separate, by the way, from the 2021 protective order that she requested. Also goes into the details about how afra she was of her husband Stephen Miller also saying this about the entire situation, the difference between the Biden administration and what Donald Trump is doing right now.
Stephen Miller
You know, you talk about due process. The Biden administration made the decision to give extensive due process to two trained Nagua terrorists that were apprehended at the border just a couple years ago. There were two gentlemen, they were from Venezuela. There were members of Trinidad. The Biden administration border patrol apprehended them and made the decision to provide them with extensive due process, put them onto a program known as supervised release and put them on ankle monitors so they could go through a lengthy legal judicial determination as to whether these legal aliens who had just set foot on US Soil might want to live in the United States for the rest of their lives. What was the result of that decision? What was the result of that choice that was made? Those two men kidnapped a young girl named Jocelyn Nungaree from her family. They beat her, they sexually assaulted her, they tortured her, they stripped her, they murdered her, and they dumped her body.
Ben Ferguson
Yet again, the Trump administration putting Americans first in a story that continues to get worse for Democrats as they continue to stand with an MS.13 gang member, a man that is accused of beating his wife on multiple occasions, human trafficking. And yet the Democrats still want to visit him out of the country and demand that he's brought back to live among us.
Next, story number two.
There is one story that maybe hasn't been getting that many headlines lately, and that is the fact that Doge is still fighting waste, fraud, and abuse. It's certainly a story that the media doesn't want you to know about. And that's exactly why Elon Musk brought many of his staffers together to tell what they are now finding. They did this with Jesse Waters on Fox News Channel. Now, the Doge staffers revealed something shocking, that the Institute of Peace is not actually that peaceful. In fact, some of their money was going to members of the Taliban. Take a listen to this.
Doge Staffer 1
Yeah. So it was the by far the least peaceful agency that we've worked with, ironically, of course. Additionally, we found that they were spending money on things like private jets, and they even had a $130,000 contract with a former member of the Taliban. Yeah, this is real. We don't encounter that at most agencies.
Doge Staffer 2
Yeah.
Doge Staffer 3
What was the money going to the Taliban for?
Doge Staffer 1
So it was a contractor. They received $130,000 for generic services. And to Elon's point, there was not actually a clear description of what the contractor services were for.
Doge Staffer 3
But was it for opium?
Doge Staffer 1
Unclear.
Doge Staffer 3
Or weapons?
Doge Staffer 2
Or.
Ben Ferguson
Nothing.
Doge Staffer 1
Or nothing.
Doge Staffer 3
Or abroad or.
Doge Staffer 2
Yeah, nothing.
Doge Staffer 1
And you naturally have to ask the question, how did we get here? Like, when the country was founded, There were only four agencies. Today, there are over 400. So there's been a 100x increase in the number of agencies since the founding of the nation. And thanks to President Trump, he's now signed two executive orders to start to reduce the number of agencies in the government. And the Institute of Peace was one of them, which is why our team went in to try and understand what was going on. And that's when we found all of the craziness. Like the weapons in their armory, we found the payments to the Taliban.
Doge Staffer 2
Behind the evidence.
Doge Staffer 1
Right. So just a few hours after we got into their headquarters, we found that their chief accountant had actually deleted over a terabyte of accounting records from several years. So you'd have to ask the question, well, why would somebody do that? The Doge team, fortunately, was able to recover that data with the help of a few great employees at the Institute of Peace. And I think the most troubling thing was they received $55 million a year from Congress. And any money that went unspent, instead of returning that to Congress, they would sweep it into a private bank. Account which had no congressional oversight. And that's what they would use to fund things like events at their headquarters and the private jets. And so I think it's a great example because most, most Americans don't know what's going on at a lot of these smaller agencies. And this is, I think, the most extreme case of some of the wasteful spend that we're finding.
Doge Staffer 3
So the agencies are hiding money from you. They're sending it to the Taliban. They have loaded weapons in the department buildings.
Doge Staffer 1
At the Institute of Peace.
Doge Staffer 3
At the Institute of Peace.
Doge Staffer 1
Yeah, that's right.
Doge Staffer 3
So this is a cover up when you guys roll in this one.
Doge Staffer 2
Yes, a cover up.
Doge Staffer 3
It's a cover.
Doge Staffer 2
They did delete a vast amount of financial information. That's really a definition of a cover up.
Doge Staffer 3
Isn't that illegal to delete evidence? Yes. Shred documents?
Doge Staffer 1
It is. It's certainly illegal to delete accounting records that the, that Congress would certainly want to know where the congressionally appropriated funds are going from, from taxpayers when you.
Doge Staffer 3
Catch them going Hillary style on their computers. Do you refer this to the Department.
Doge Staffer 1
Of Justice in this case? We did refer the evidence in the accounting example to the FBI and doj. We were proud to do that. So, yes, we did.
Ben Ferguson
Not only do they say it was a cover up, but it may have actually been criminal. And that is exactly why they have references to the Department of Justice. So if you think that Doge isn't still digging, don't worry, they are. In fact, the Doge team also says there was a 4 billion dollar Covid fund in the Department of Education that had no receipts required so government employees could draw down on it and use the money for parties and to rent out venues like Caesar's Palace. Another example of why so many are fighting against Donald Trump in the deep state and doing everything they can to get rid of their receipts. And thank goodness Elon Musk and Doge keeps finding them.
And finally, story number three.
The liberal Washington press corps was going berserk earlier in the afternoon amid rumors that Mike Waltz was being fired. Well, guess what? He wasn't fired. In fact, Donald Trump putting this out on true social quote. I'm pleased to announce that I will be nominating Mike Waltz to be the next United States Ambassador to the United Nations. High profile job, by the way, that many were hoping they would get this job. President went on to say, from his time in uniform, on the battlefield, in Congress and as my national Security Advisor, Mike Waltz has worked hard to put our nation's interests first. I know he will do the same in his new role in the interim Secretary of State. Marco Rubio will serve as National Security Advisor while continuing his strong leadership of the State Department. Together, we will continue to fight tirelessly to make America and the world safe again. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Now, why did the president put it out there this way? Simply because he knew the media was lying, looking for a scandal and trying to make it a big deal that Mike Waltz was fired from the administration. In reality, Donald Trump gave him another top administration job. How many in the media are going to apologize for all of the lies they put out in the last 24 hours? I'm gonna guess none of them. But the best part is we've got the receipts of all the lies on social media and the articles they wrote. And that's exactly why Donald Trump called them out.
