First off, thank you Mr. President, because this has happened at lightning speed. Buy a ticket for 100 bucks. By the time you check out it's 170. You don't know what you can charge for. I would love down the road if there'd be some legislation that we could actually put a cap the resale of tickets us as artists be able to get the tickets into the hands of the fans at the price prices we set. I would rather be, you know, a hero to working class people and have them be able to come attend my shows and give them a fair ticket price. I can't control that right now. So hopefully this is established really be able to make that happen.

You're listening to the 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
Good Wednesday morning, Ben Ferguson with you. It's nice to have you on the 47 Morning Update and here are the three big stories that you need to know about. First up, it was election night in America and the good news is we came away with three victories and one loss, giving Donald Trump more breathing room in the house. How important is that for the America first agenda. I'll break it down for you. Also, Donald Trump is declaring today as Liberation Day. So what does that mean for you? I'll explain it. And finally, Doge has found more waste and fraud and your tax dollars going to extreme liberal groups. It's the 47 Morning Update, and it starts right now.
Story number one.
It was a very important election day in two different states in America on April 1st. And it had a major impact on what agenda items could get through Congress when it comes to Donald Trump's America first agenda. So let's start with Florida's special elections. To be very clear, Democrats went all in in Florida, outspending Republicans in some scenarios 10 to 1. Thank goodness. In Florida's 1st congressional district, the Donald Trump candidate had a huge victory, securing that victory over a Democrat who outspent him in a major way. He still received the Republican candidate 56.9% of the vote. This was massive for President Trump because it was an endorsement and an important ally for him. So after that, we moved to Florida's 6th congressional district, and the Republican there was won the seat vacated by Mike Waltz, who became President Trump's national security adviser. The Democrat also outspent him when it came to trying to buy that election. And yes, he won by 56.7% of the vote. This will give Donald Trump some major breathing room. It also will allow for Speaker Johnson to do his job the way that he needs to, not having to worry as much about one random member of Congress coming in and ruining his entire day. He will actually be able to lead the Republican Party in a much more effective way for Donald Trump as well. So this was a massive victory. Now let's move on to Wisconsin. There was another victory that will have a major impact around the country, and it involves Wisconsin's voter ID amendment. Now, Wisconsin voters approved a constitutional amendment to enshrine the state's photo ID requirement for voting into the state constitution. The amendment passed with approximately 63% of the vote, reflecting a commitment to election security measures supported by many conservatives. This will also have a huge impact around the country as Republicans will now look at this vote in Wisconsin and say it's time to move to make sure that each and every state has not only voter ID laws, but also they are a part of the state constitution. Now, it wasn't a clean sweep on election night. There was also the Wisconsin Supreme Court election. It was a setback for conservatives as a liberal judge by the name of Susan Crawford was elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, defeating the conservative candidate who had the backing of President Trump and Elon Musk. Crawford's victory preserves the court's 4 to 3 liberal majority, which could influence decisions on key issues such as abortion and labor rights. But overall, three major victories and a margin that is greater in the House will serve the President and the American people well. Yes, we had a loss, but overall, 3 to 1 victory on election Day is always a good thing.
Next story number two.
Today will be a day you will remember for quite some time. April 2nd of 2025. President Donald Trump has marked this day as Liberation Day by introducing a series of tariffs aimed at revitalizing American industry and reducing our reliance on foreign imports. This initiative is part of his broader strategy to address long standing trade imbalances and bolster domestic manufacturing. So what are the key aspects of the tariff policy that you need to know about? Well, it is a reciprocal tariffs. The administration plans to implement tariffs that mirror the duties other countries are imposing on US Products, promoting fair trade relationships. This approach is designed to encourage trading partners to lower their tariffs and engage in more equitable trade practices. The White House says support for domestic manufacturing is also part two of the White House's plan today. By making imported goods more expensive, the tariffs aim to incentivize companies to produce goods within the United States, potentially leading to job creation at record numbers and a strengthened industrial base in America. There's also a third aspect of the White House plan today, and it deals with national security considerations. Reducing dependence on foreign suppliers for critical goods is intended to enhance national security by ensuring that essential industries are robust and self reliant in America. Much of this we learned during COVID when so many things that we desperately needed for our safety were not coming into America from places like China. Now, supporters of the policies of the White House argue that these measures will correct decades of unfair trade practices that have disadvantaged American workers specifically as well as industries. They believe at the White House that despite potential short term adjustments, the long term benefits will include a more resilient economy and a fair global trade environment. To be clear, President Trump has emphasized that Liberation Day represents a pivotal moment in reclaiming economic independence and prioritizing American interests in global trade. The administration remains optimistic that these policies will ultimately lead to renewed growth and prosperity for American businesses, small businesses, and most importantly, American workers.
And finally, story number three Is the.
COVID up worse than the crime? Well, in this instance it may not be. Elon Musk leading the Department of Government Efficiency, has uncovered that employees at the US Institute of Peace, known as USIP attempted to delete a terabyte of financial data amid an investigation into the agency's overall operations. Musk reported that despite this deletion attempt, thank goodness the DOGE team successfully recovered the data, highlighting their technological proficiency. The recovery data allegedly reveals significant financial misconduct as well, including unauthorized payments to entities such as the Taliban and Iraqi leaders. This discovery underscores the effectiveness of doge's initiative in identifying and addressing corruption within government agencies. This incident serves as a testament to the commitment of Musk and the White House and the DOGE team to enhance transparency and accountability in government operations, ensuring that attempts to conceal illicit activities are promptly exposed and rectified. In fact, in an interview, Elon Musk says that DOGE is the opposite of what they're uncovering, that they are the most transparent organization the government has ever seen.
Elon Musk
Well, everything that DOGE does is an open book. So we're, I think, the most transparent action, the most transparent organization in government ever. Every single DOGE action is listed on the doge.gov website. It's also listed on the X handle. So if anyone has a concern about any one of those actions, they can bring that up, they can raise that. And, and I do want to say, like, sometimes we make a mistake. Nobody bats a thousand. We will at times make mistake, and make a mistake, will act very quickly to correct it. I am under such an extreme spotlight, so much scrutiny that is literally impossible for me to get away with anything nefarious. And obviously, nor do I wish to. So this is, this is a case where we have radical, radical transparency. We're actually willing to admit that we do make mistakes. Often people are not willing to admit they make mistakes, but we are. But we want to emphasize we fix them quickly and we're trying to do the right thing for the American taxpayer, for the American people. And I think history will be the judge that what we've done here and what we're doing is a very good thing for the strength and future of America.
Ben Ferguson
There's no doubt that the American people are still overwhelming in the polls behind Elon Musk, Doge and Donald Trump because of what they're finding. And much of what they're finding now is government employees trying to cover up and delete what they've been doing with your tax dollars in the past.

Introduction
In this episode of The 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson, host Ben Ferguson delves into three pivotal stories shaping the political and economic landscape of America. Focusing on recent election outcomes, President Donald Trump's declaration of Liberation Day, and the Department of Government Efficiency's (DOGE) efforts to root out governmental corruption, Ferguson provides listeners with in-depth analysis and exclusive insights into these critical developments.
1. Election Triumphs and Setbacks
Timestamp: 02:44 – 06:05
Ben Ferguson opens with a comprehensive overview of the recent election day held on April 1st, highlighting significant victories and a notable loss that impact President Trump's America First agenda.
Florida's Special Elections:
1st Congressional District: Despite Democrats outspending Republicans 10 to 1, the Republican candidate secured a victory with 56.9% of the vote. Ferguson emphasizes, “This was massive for President Trump because it was an endorsement and an important ally for him.”
6th Congressional District: The Republican candidate won with 56.7% of the vote, succeeding Mike Waltz, who has been appointed as President Trump’s national security adviser. This victory provides significant support within the House, allowing Speaker Johnson to lead the Republican Party more effectively without internal disruptions.
Wisconsin's Voter ID Amendment:
Wisconsin voters approved a constitutional amendment to enshrine photo ID requirements for voting, passing with approximately 63% in favor. Ferguson notes, “This will have a huge impact around the country as Republicans will now look at this vote in Wisconsin and say it's time to ensure that each and every state has not only voter ID laws but also they are a part of the state constitution.”
Wisconsin Supreme Court Election:
Contrasting the other victories, the liberal candidate Susan Crawford defeated the conservative nominee backed by President Trump and Elon Musk, maintaining a 4-3 liberal majority on the court. Ferguson acknowledges this setback but maintains an optimistic outlook: “Overall, three major victories and a margin that is greater in the House will serve the President and the American people well. Yes, we had a loss, but overall, a 3 to 1 victory on election Day is always a good thing.”
