Lets compute the news Our lead story Artificial intelligence is moving deeper into High Level Mathematics OpenAI has published 10 new results involving long standing problems in mathematics and theoretical computer science, problems that in many cases had seen no movement on the central question for at least a decade. The reported advances include work in high dimensional sphere packing, coding theory, group theory, quantum complexity, lattice cryptography and extremal combinatorics. Among the most notable claims a a construction establishing the existence of non sophic groups plus a disproof of Kun's rigidity conjecture.

That is a lot of advanced math for the rest of us. The important part is AI is increasingly being used not only to solve homework style questions, but to help researchers generate new ideas, find patterns and test possible proofs in fields where the answers are not already in the textbook.
