B
Today's guest comes all the way from Bangkok and guys, it's two hours away from me. I'm in Jomtien Beach, Thailand and CEO Irene is here. We met about, I think five months, four months ago. About four months ago in Bangkok and you impressed me. So welcome to the Amazing Authorities podcast, Irene.
C
Thank you. Nice to meet you and I really thank you for having me. I love you, the wife of the show and I really look forward to this conversation.
B
Great. Now, most of your content you deliver. Oh, I guess maybe all of your content you deliver is in Thai, which is your native language. And as I mentioned to you before, I'm not even going to attempt to pronounce your last name, but for the listeners that can appreciate the beauty of a Thai last name, please share it.
C
Yeah, my name is Irene, silly. Watana Kitan.
B
Oh, my God. And the cause at the end, all the ties at a car, guys, that isn't part of the name. It's just, it's Thai courtesy where they end the sentence with ka. All right, so we don't even need to spell it. We'll leave that. This is an English speaking audience, but you might have another Thai person that will appreciate all of that and the ending of a car, which I, I still don't get after all the years I've lived in Thailand. And it's going on, going on 13 years total time in Thailand, but it's a. You are an expert. And the ladies that I met through on and om and all the other ladies that day when we did the recording, they all shared and I had no experience of you, didn't know you until I spoke to Romy after and he said, oh, yeah, you're really nice and you're very good at what you do that you're a TikTok expert, but your focus is largely women in Thailand. Now, TikTok is a controversial platform because at any moment it might get delisted in the United States. But it's, it's, it's roaring with success here. Why did you choose that platform?
C
At first I start from Facebook, but I started learning from others, so. So that time is like three years ago. The Tik Tok is come to Thailand. Right. And I thought that if my mentor in the Facebook they have the followers like a like 200,000 people. If I would like have that it too hard if I start in Facebook but if I start from Tik Tok but because no one do it's will like the big opportunity. That's why I start from TikTok. What I don't know. I don't have an idea. I just play and I, I just like do the same thing what I do from Facebook after that I got the followers like for 10,000 until 100,000. Yeah. Now it's to.
B
Wow. Yeah, wow. So 100,000. Were you at a hundred thousand when I met you? I think I met you in April. I think it was April. If you were at 100,000 now you're at 200,000.
C
Yes.
B
Okay, now I'm going to press you with the question. The next big hurdle is 500,000. When are you going to get there?
C
I hope like next year's like first of July.
B
So July of next year then we're going to memorialize that event. I'm going to have you back on as a guest because we're going to document that right now. 200,000. I will have you with the progress then Irene where we'll have you back in July if not sooner. I hope it's sooner. But you just have to tell me there that you've reached there. Now as a westerner and as a man of my age group, you know more than double your age. TikTok is a platform in the US I used to look at as young pretty girls with sexy bodies shaking and dancing. I understand it is much more than that. Tell us because most everybody that's going to be listening to the show and my followers speak English. So tell me what it, what it what you do in Thailand with it and dispel any of those myths.
C
Yes, I do the like education. The education video for the the others like how to use Tick tock and I do a tons of these videos. But no many people thought that have to dance like like that's a sexy dance or whatever. I'm going to start the followers. But that is the mistake because TikTok is like Facebook before but the engagement is better like if you pay the hundred like $1 for. For advertise in Facebook cannot write but you can use in TikTok and the engagement is like more than Facebook like 10x.
B
Wow. Wow. Really?
C
So if I. Yeah the advertising is very cheap.
B
Oh my gosh. And the engagement is as good as Facebook.
C
Yes. So if you like you, you do like the courses or whatever, you can go to the video, like the short video, like one minute or three minutes and talk about what your experts give the education for other people. And after that you will get the followers and that is like cheap advertising, no money. You can you get followers, do you only.
B
So in your social media empire, let's just call this you, you studied Facebook first, then you saw the opportunity with Tick Tock. Do you embrace Instagram or X? You do all of it.
C
I do Facebook, IG, Instagram, YouTube and tick tock4. And line. In Thai we use line.
B
Right, Right. So you use use line. So you post in groups in line also. Okay. Because I know line is big in Japan, Korea and in Thailand. Everywhere else nobody knows about line. They look at me like, huh, yeah, what's line? I can draw a line but I don't know what a line is there. You know, it's WhatsApp or Telegram, but those are totally separate platforms. So with Tick Tock, is that so do you create the video once like you've got your screen behind you and I see the, I see it behind you is. Looks like an easel or is that a whiteboard? Okay. All right, so you're ready. I mean you're a serious person about this topic. As an authority in the Thai market, you're teaching this. You got the screen and my gosh, I'd love to watch see what you do sometimes. So you'll have to show me next time I'm in Bangkok. I have to see what all this is. And yeah, so you do this. Obviously it's in the Thai language so I would have difficulty but I have my partner, my, my fiance's sister.
C
Yes.
B
Makes big money selling clothes online.
C
Yeah.
B
I'm actually having dinner with her tonight over here in Jomtien beach at a place called Frankie's. It's a well known Italian restaurant here in Jomtien and she lives up in Karat and she uses. I don't know, I'm going to find out her whole story. But I think she'd be a good person for you to connect with because I don't want to disclose how much money, but let's just say she's got more than 30 employees handling all the fulfillment of selling virtually on her clo her clothes like she imports in and then she sells them. She sands up and the next one, she's gone like crazy with the different clothes. Original. Original. She says original inserting Some American or English words in there, but the rest of the time speaking Thai and she's just killing it. And I think she uses TikTok also.
C
Oh, yeah.
B
So I'm gonna have to, because it's big in this market and you don't have a pra, A crazy president like we do in America called Trump, who, who's threatening to shut it down. You, I mean, you, you're much freer here in Thailand. So, so how many times do you post per day?
C
1 times per day. Every day?
B
Yes, every day. And how long are your videos?
C
One to three minutes.
B
Oh, one to three minutes. Okay, so they're not short little dancy things. So one to three minutes. Do you shoot the same content and then send it out to all the other platforms or do you have to adjust it so it's one time?
C
One time.
B
But you shoot vertical for TikTok, correct. What about for YouTube? It's landscape.
C
It's like vertical for shot.
B
Oh, you only use shorts for YouTube?
C
Sometimes I do like the long video for YouTube for long form.
B
Okay. Yeah. I have since gone like my podcast, this podcast, for example. Once we get done with this, I will send you all the clips in shorts and I'll send you the long version which will be up on my YouTube, which you can then post. We actually request that of our, of our guests so we get maximum value and goes up on the Instagram. And then you're going to find I have a whole bunch of other students are going through my podcast course right now who are all around the world and there are 14 of them and I'm going to recommend you as a guest, if that's okay. If you'd like to get more exposure in the English speaking world. Sure. Yeah. They're all going to have a podcast. And do you have a podcast yet?
C
Not yet, but I have like small video, like shooting with my friends, like.
B
Okay, well, I'm glad you have friends. That's good to know.
C
A lot of friends.
B
I'm sure you do. You're a popular influencer in Thailand. I, I, I notice that Thai people react so well to their own kind, whereas in the English speaking world, it seems, now I'm not documenting this, it seems they have to work so much harder because there's so many people competing for those eyeballs in their hearts. But you got a few things going for you. You're passionate about it, you're consistent, you're attractive and you speak Thai. You do speak Thai?
C
Yes, yes.
B
Okay, good. I'm just checking, but that's that's.
C
Okay.
B
I have to say cup but you're. You're all there in your market. What else is important in terms of growing your following Consistency. You said every day you do it every day and all the platforms get populated. Correct?
C
Yes, yes, yes. And the thing that I I learn about do online is how you do the things that get the eyeball is when you connect with yourself. Not pretend to be oh be authentic. Yeah be authentic because people can feel people don't know you at the first time that met you from the video but they can feel that you are expert or pin to ah like an imposter. Yeah.
B
Yes.
C
That's why for the TikTok right that we do the channel that one is like personal branding. The video represent ourself. That's why we have to connect to the soul that you would like to delegate something but it has to be authentic. If you authentic your video will like you get a lot of more views and engagement engagements and AI will put your video out and viral.
B
Let's talk Irene about some tools. You mentioned the word AI. I'm glad you mentioned it because you can't avoid it today. It's everywhere. AI is there. What do you use? What kind of what are the tools that you use in order to be successful?
C
I I love ChatGPT. I do like a storm chat tbt now I touch the. My. My student to use that before like those my student last week I I teach in drunk Drang is out is south of Thailand. The south and the people like 68, 60 years old up. They can't do online. They can't think about content. So I use the AI TRS Wow. To do and they can shoot the video one day.
B
That's cool.
C
They can shoot the video.
B
They're they're in my age group. Okay. I'm 65 so yes, I I'm still active. I couldn't imagine not working today. And I know it's a little bit different in Asia. They think anybody over 60 is old and they should rest. Hell no, I'm not resting. I got a lot to do. A lot to do. And that's great that you were able to inspire people that were of my age group to get that video done. Outstanding.
C
And I use like the custom GPT that I create myself.
B
Yes.
C
Put my knowledge inside and they will generate the content that relate to any brand that put the information to. Yeah.
B
So you create your own GPTs.
C
Yes. Yes.
B
Me too. Me too. Yeah. I create my own for my podcast students I created A GPT which laid out their whole program for them. Yes, exactly. From the podcasting name and new and so what Give me an example of what you did for one of your your clients with your GPT that you created that GPT.
C
I give them to use like look like have me to be assistant them 24 hours.
B
Oh nice. I like that.
C
Any question just ask this GPT because I put all my brain inside that the knowledge my knowledge inside that GPT and I teach them how to talk with that GPT. A second things I I got like I I have learned about N8N. Do you know AI agent?
B
Oh, AI agent. Yes of course.
C
An add in. I I use the flow of an add in to plug in with the line that it help people don't hide the admin to talk with. Many many people use AI talk instead.
B
Oh, I'm not familiar with that. So the AI with Line application.
C
Yes and add in like AI Agent plug in with live application.
B
Oh, I didn't know that.
C
Like if we normally we have to to to answer the normal questions from how much what is the detail? Something like that. Right. And we have to hi many many people to to to answer answer this but now we use less people because we use AI instead to so they.
B
So they converse with the AI agent which is in so you plug in the responses like the frequently asked questions.
C
Yes.
B
Now what do you do with Line? See this might be a little outside of because my audience is obviously English speaking. I know about Line because I live in Thailand and I spend a lot.
C
Of time is like WhatsApp you can do at with the WhatsApp also.
B
Okay. So you integrate with that and I yeah, Line's got some different features. WhatsApp's got some different features. You know and then there's the Viber app in the Philippines which is totally different. So that, so you integrate. Do you use Telegram?
C
No. In Thailand we use Line, right?
B
No, I. I use Line all the time, every day because I'm in Thailand now and do as the Thai people do while I'm here. But my audience. Yeah outside they use telegram and WhatsApp.
C
Yes, yes, yes. And also can use like Facebook messenger with the AI agent.
B
Oh nice.
C
And one thing that I have helped my client do is the reorganizing before they have a lot of people. Right. So now I use AI to help them to to have like lean business.
B
Okay. To get rid of over overused employees. Okay.
C
Yes like HR AI. I could can I help them create HR AI purchase and less use less People to do this only normally use two people. So now can use only one.
B
And AI doesn't take coffee breaks. AI doesn't fall in sick.
C
Yes.
B
AI doesn't need vacations.
C
Yeah. And doesn't need bonus.
B
Doesn't need bonus. Doesn't have sob story. My buffalo is sick in the Nissan and I've heard all the stories. Yeah. Oh my gosh. Yes, I need to take off for Songkran. But no, doesn't work. Sron, ladies and gentlemen, is a big Thai festival that is annual and it's a big deal where everybody gets wet. And whether you're. You better not wear makeup that week because you're going to get squirted by squirt guns. And it's a lot of fun. And you know, and I got clobbered when I was here. You know what killed me? The ones who whacked me the most with water were Farong and Feng are foreigners, people that aren't tie. They were the ones that threw buckets of water on me when I was walking down the street. Okay. They thought they were Thai and they, they started splashing me. So I just said, okay. Yeah. The fronds got into it more than the Thai people did. It's like, oh, an excuse to throw water on people. So it was just a lot of fun. How does Tick Tock. I've heard this. I don't know if you're familiar. Tick Tock as a tool to sell more books. Tick Tock to sell. Tell us about the Tick Tock store and the, the commerce side, what it does. Because you know, still people are caught up in. It's the dancing.
C
Yeah. Because the Tick Tock has Tick Tock shop.
B
Okay.
C
And open the chop right before we. We use Facebook. Facebook don't have shop. You have to life and sell the things.
B
Right.
C
If you buy from Choppy Lazada, I'm not sure in. In outside have lobster.
B
No. They. They will use in. In America and a lot of the Western they don't use that. They would use Amazon. Amazon is not present here. You got to play pay big shipping. But it's shopping and lazada here in.
C
Asia that is that like e commerce, right?
B
Yes.
C
Social media. Right. Social media and e commerce press together in TikTok Shop. So when you saw the video and we put the, the, the buckets in inside the video. When you do when, when you see the video and then, and then you like that product. You can buy you place and buy. And then I got the money already.
B
Oh well that's Good. Now, I just. I just. I'm gonna ask you a question. I just wrote this book called Buddy.
C
Yes. Sick.
B
I haven't published it yet. I'm just. This is the first copy. You're seeing it before it goes out. Oh, how. How would I. How would I sell this with tick tock. I'm asking you. We didn't prepare for this question. You're gonna prove to my listeners that you know your stuff.
C
Yeah. You have to open your channel in tick tock. Right after that, you have to post the video. The video, like the short video is. Okay. Just one minute or 30. 30 seconds. Not.
B
Oh, not.
C
Not too long, because you have to introduce yourself to Audre. After that, you have to get like 1000 followers. Then you can live. This one is for life. Right. And then you have to open another account. Like your same account, but another app we call TikTok shop.
B
Okay.
C
You have to open the shop. After that, you open the shop. You plug in the shop with the channel. Then you will post your book in the shop.
B
Okay.
C
When you do the video, you can place the bucket of your book in your video posted. When you. When people see you, I love the contents and would like to know more. They will buy you a book.
B
Do I do. Would you recommend for me to buy advertising as well?
C
At the first time you can buy. But if you would like to see algorithm in one week or two weeks, use organic.
B
Oh, you want the algorithm to work first?
C
Yeah. You. You will see that people love you. What? What? They love you.
B
Okay.
C
We'll see the algorithm. Like if today you. You talk about the podcast, tomorrow you thought about if you have like a tens how to podcast right. In the book, maybe you taught them only one or two. And after that, let's read in your book something like that. And then you will know the people love which video more.
B
Okay.
C
Then if you see which one they love, you do again.
B
Okay. Okay. And then buy advertising for the one that they love.
C
Yes. Yes.
B
Okay. All right. That's a good tip. All right. So that's for a book. And what's another good tip that you want to share with our listeners that works so well on TikTok?
C
TikTok love something real authentic, which means you don't need to have like the room beautiful or whatever. You can shoot the video outside your house.
B
Okay.
C
There. But the content is very important. You have to know what your branding, what your content that you would like to delegate. And you have to know how, like, what people will remember you, how well, like, you're wearing.
B
You look very nice. You've got a coat on. I'm dressed in a golf shirt. I'm a little bit comfortable with it. But then when I do television, I wear a coat and. Or speak. I've stopped using a tie because I was told that looks too old. So I got stopped wearing a tie. You're dressed very nicely. You've got a jacket on. I don't know if you're wearing. I guess you're maybe pants underneath. Pants and a top. Is this how you present yourself in TikTok or is this just for the interview today?
C
Yes, this is like the branding because my, my, my channel names CEO Irene, I have to represent as my name.
B
Do you always wear certain colors or is that. Or do you just change your colors?
C
Change color. But like the team in the, in the channel, like I have like feminine theme color, not masculine theme color. Yeah.
B
Okay. Where I wear blue, I'm masculine. Yeah. Oh, well, I guess I wouldn't be part of your group. But do you have men in your group also or is it all.
C
Yes, also have. Many years ago. I do. Like for all. For all. Right.
B
Like, right.
C
Like woman. But from last year until today. And, and, and I focus on like feminine energy because I ship the energy from my masculine energy to feminine energy. So I change the collector of the channel. So. Awesome.
B
Well, thank you for allowing a masculine man to interview you for this because I'm wearing masculine colors of blue and I know I have a big voice, but you never know. I have, I have clients of all different backgrounds and I, I don't. But it's. You're. You brought up something important because there is an expression called there are riches in niches. So you've selected a niche number one. Your Thai number one. You're female and you are catering your message to feminine energy you mentioned.
C
Yes.
B
To women. So in your followers are most of them women?
C
Yes.
B
Okay. What percentage.
C
Percentage is 80% are women.
B
Now are the 20% men that are masculine or are they more feminine men?
C
They're more feminine.
B
More feminine men. Okay. So I, Yeah, I don't want to get into getting in trouble socially with what I was going to say. But they're more feminine men that are following you because of the energy that you project.
C
Yes. Because the, the is not the sexual. The feminine. Masculine is like energy.
B
I get it.
C
Yeah.
B
Yeah.
C
That's why like I know before I got the channel is I, I have got burned out from the channel before because I use the energy like Hustle or Hurry and masculine Energy to get the hit. To go right to. To. To hit the goal. And after that I learned about inner self. Like you know, on.
B
Yes.
C
I learned from them. Then I change, I shift the energy because I. I learned a lot about inner work. And after that I got the good opportunity without hustle come to me like more money, more opportunity and I have a free times.
B
Well, that's fantastic. So what is your daily routine? Tell us what you do as a CEO, Irene. You wake up and how do you start your day?
C
I wake up then what time?
B
What time?
C
Around nine.
B
Oh my gosh. I'm up. I'm already. I get up at four every day. So. All right, you're Sleeping Beauty. You get up at nine.
C
Yes. And then I. I do exercise and meditate first.
B
Okay.
C
After that I got the meeting with the. Our meeting with the crayon. Go out to see the client. After that if don't. Don't have schedule to see the client. I do the video, teach people and do like talk with my team planned for the next month or something like that. I. I prefer do the thing before. Like I have to. I have planned before.
B
You plan before you implement.
C
Yes. So that's why I have a lot of time.
B
How many hours per day do you work?
C
I work. I try to work only four hours.
B
Oh my. Okay, so you've got a whopping practice. How many teammates do you have? Team members do you have?
C
I have our sources.
B
Yes.
C
Our sources is around five. Five team.
B
They're all Thai.
C
Thai? Yes.
B
Okay, so they don't. They're virtual or do they come into an office online? All virtual. Okay, so they're everywhere. Okay, well that's great. So you work only four hours a day and then the rest of the time you have free to do whatever you want.
C
Yeah. Before I have got a lot of people like 50. 50 people in the company and 50. And I don't have even time to sleep. I sleep. I sleep at seven o' clock in the morning.
B
Oh my gosh.
C
And then have to wake up to meeting around 11 o'. Clock. I. I do a lot of work and then I burn out. I have to go to see the doctor.
B
I understand.
C
Learn about inner work before.
B
Okay. And then AI. And then AI help.
C
Yes. After that I do inner work. I. I think inner work is very important because even if you don't know yourself, you will got the trap. Sometimes you sell sabotage, but like you don't know, you sabotage yourself.
B
Well, Irene, you. You mentioned something important. You. You take care of yourself. You. You Only want to work four hours a day by design. But you're still growing. You're growing your father. Do you. How many workers did AI replace? Because you're now down to five. If you didn't have AI, how many workers would you need?
C
I think 20.
B
Wow. So you have. I know what the, the, the approximate pay is for people in Thailand. Roughly 15, 20,000 baht, depending on their skill sets.
C
Yes.
B
So for you listeners, that's 500 to maybe $600 a month in wages. Is the AV more or less the range for a Thai employee? Competent can is a good worker. That is office related. Understanding. So you're, you're saving 15 times $500. Let's just call it that. So 15 times $500 per month because of your use of AI.
C
Yes, AI and outsourcing.
B
Well, but you said you had 20. You would have 20 if you didn't use AI today.
C
Yes.
B
So you're saving on 15 employees.
C
Yes.
B
Do you know we have to do another total podcast about the efficiency of AI because that is impressive. I interview a lot of people, about 15 people a week. I've got a very aggressive podcast interview schedule and my TV show. People that I'm interviewing and I don't think I've heard that type of success and anywhere. So applause to you.
C
Thank you.
B
You get, you get. Now there are two chickens that I reward people on my show. Hang on a second. CEO Irene, you get a squeeze for being an excellent guest. But you get the coveted money chicken because it's green in color. You get the squeeze of the money chicken. Irene saves major money. She reduced her staff from 20 to 5 and works only four hours a day. Has inner health, a big smile, recently engaged. One, two, three squeezes of the green chicken. That is impressive. Irene, I must have you back to break down how you do that. That's so impressive. Oh, my word. That's so impressive. And would you accept an invitation to come back and share that at a later date?
C
Today?
B
No, not today.
C
No.
B
No. I got to go to dinner. I'm gonna be in big trouble. Yeah, no, all good. I just wanted. I, I. You deserve the green chicken award today because you. That was so impressive. My word. So you're able to eat tonka kai anytime you want. Ladies and gentlemen, that's the delicious soup that I love. Living in Thailand, I think that alone brought me to live here for the remainder of my life. It's so good. Coconut milk soup. And you got to try it. If you haven't. Irene, you've been a great guest. You earned the green chicken award and I would love to have you back again. How can people get a hold of CEO Irene?
C
Yeah, you can follow me from TikTok CE CEO Irene C E O I R I N. That's great.
B
And we'll find you on Tick Tock or Instagram or YouTube. Is it same with YouTube?
C
Same, same, same.
B
All right, Congruent branding. You've been superb. Thank you so much for your time today and I look forward to having you back for two, two occasions I might have you as a triple. One is I already promised when you get to 500. And then another is about how you've absolutely utilized AI to use in your in your handling of employees. That is brilliant, big time. So thank you so much. We'll see you very soon.
C
Thank you so much.
