Brent
Welcome back to another Thursday night squadcast. Thursday is for the boys, and we have a very packed house that you guys cannot see. But we got Chris coming down from Connecticut on vacation. We got Jake from Dank Memes on vacation. We got all the. The Tucker crew here. And then we got Anthony from Heroic Nation podcast slash Heroic Industries. What do you call it? Training. That was your intro song.
Tyler
Yeah.
Anthony
There we go. There we go.
Tyler
Yeah, it is. The other thing you can't see. Yes. Is a packed house, but it's surprising the amount of hot chicks that showed up tonight. Just a ton of hot chicks.
Brent
Yeah, they're everywhere.
Tyler
They're everywhere.
Brent
There's one with a big ass beard named Magnet back there.
Tyler
I wish we could turn the cameras around and you guys can see it, but, man, it's.
Anthony
So these are hot chicks in Florida.
Tyler
Yeah.
Brent
So right before it, right before it, we were talking about seats, and we were like, oh, we don't have enough seats for everybody. And Brent's like, there's a whole ass seat right in the middle. And I'm like, it would take a gay dude to sit between two other dudes on a small couch. And I go watch Magnus sit in it. And he goes, what? I was like, nothing. And Magna came and sat right in it. He's not gay, by the way.
Tyler
That we know of.
Brent
I got you.
Tyler
But he has tendencies, so I wouldn't be. I wouldn't be surprised. Drew, I'm talking. Can you put the camera on me, please?
Drew
Nope.
Brent
Here.
Drew
You want it? There it is.
Tyler
Oh, that's right. My camera's broke and Tyler wouldn't switch with me.
Brent
Hey, Drew, can you put it on me, though?
Drew
Look at that beautiful mug.
Tyler
Besides the Heroic Nation podcast, Anthony is also a 17 year law enforcement veteran with 15 years on the SWAT team.
Anthony
Yep.
Tyler
That's impressive. It's a long, like.
Brent
Old enough to be my dad.
Tyler
How do I. You. You always give me for.
Brent
But you look like my. But you look like you could be my younger brother.
Tyler
It's weird, man. What a crazy week. I. I don't know if you want to look at the stock market. I know this be boring to some people, but hey, people should be old enough to have 401ks and you should. You should care. The stock market was crazy today. Did anyone see that or know why?
Anthony
I see shit.
Tyler
Let me. Let me inform you nerds. The. It has to do with the tariffs. And I hate this. I hate this about the stock market. The stock market is basically an emotional chick. That's what the stock Market is like anything that might happen, it overreacts and it goes into interfere mode both for positive and negative. So they're scared of the tariffs. And so the stock market dropped was like almost 2000 points today. I know it, it rebounded a little at some point when it, when it got, when it quit with its emotional tantrum. But guess what? We're going to be just fine with tariffs. We're going to be, we're going to be okay. And they're like, but if they put up like a 30% tariff on cars, that means our car prices are going to go up 30%. Ooh, I hate to say it. No, I don't. I love to say it. Don't buy a foreign car. Tariffs has nothing to do with Chevrolet. It has nothing to do with Ford. Has nothing to do with Chrysler B. Yeah. And so, so, so buy American and, and you won't. And your prices won't go up, by the way. All those car companies that supplies for the cars. Do you want to know how many Chevys and Fords and Chryslers are in their country driving around zero. Almost zero for every privacy one of them. So here we are again being the bad guys for doing what everyone else has done to protect their own economy.
Anthony
One isn't.
Tyler
Don't get me started talking to Mike.
Anthony
Isn't that kind of the point of the tariffs?
Tyler
That's the point of the tariff is.
Anthony
To keep things here.
Tyler
That's the point of the tariff. We will never. Everyone's against bad working conditions and everyone in America is about having a $25 minimum wage. And all these people. And you know who I mean when I say these people? The same people who will burn a Tesla, who love Tesla two years ago, cry about a livable wage and cry about fair work conditions around the world. Well, because, because Japan pays their people or China 3 yen a day to, to work our. We can never compete with their prices because we pay our people a livable wage. So the only way to look out for American businesses is a tariff. That is what levels the playing field for them and their ultra low wage that they pay their people who by the way have to have lifetime mortgages in order to get a house.
Drew
Generational.
Tyler
Generational. I'm sorry. Yeah.
Brent
What's a lifetime mortgage?
Tyler
It means your dad, your, your dad's going to buy a house and when he dies, that mortgage goes to your name.
Drew
Generational mortgage.
Tyler
They've signed generational mortgages because of inflation so high and wages are so low. You think we can compete with that we don't want to compete with that.
Brent
No.
Tyler
Anyway, there's more. There's more of that when we get on the Elon subject, but I'll stop there.
Brent
Tonight's episode, the lives are always brought to you by Cloud Defensive. The best in illumination. Go to cloud defensive.com and use promo code ANTIHERO15 and get 15% off your order. These flashlights are dope. We're giving one away tonight as a patreon giveaway. Like $350 flashlight.
Tyler
Heck yeah.
Brent
You're getting for $10 a month on patreon. So go to cloud defense.com promo code antihero and get 15% off your order.
Tyler
Said it before. Say it every time. I'm a huge fan of tactical lights. People don't use them enough. People aren't prepared to fight. And low illumination environments.
Brent
And also tomorrow, everyone's heading to Jersey City. If you're on the northeast and you want to come to Jersey City, we're doing a live event on Saturday. Brent unfortunately cannot make it. Anthony is also not going to be there. But it's cool. The rest of counterculture. The rest of counterculture will be there. We'll have Donut Shop podcast Two Cops, One Donut or not Two Cops, One Donut. Good Cop, Bad Copy Conduct on becoming tone alert. And Tim from Guerrilla Warfare will be there. He's actually setting it up like.
Tyler
Like Tim, he.
Brent
He did all the logistics and be at 902 Brewery in Jersey City. We're staying at the Hyatt, so hit us up.
Tyler
Brewery.
Anthony
Kenny going to that?
Brent
Oh, yeah, Kenny's going Beyond the Barrel podcast. Oh, thank you, man. You saved me beyond the Barrel pockets to be there too.
Tyler
Magnet. You're going to the beyond the Barrel podcast, aren't you? When you. When you gonna go over there? This summer. All right.
Anthony
You're going up to see him.
Brent
You've been on twice, haven't you? No, just. You've been out twice.
Anthony
I'm about two hours away.
Brent
Because he went and. Did he met you at a school or class?
Anthony
Yeah, he was up in like Battle Creek. And I'm not like. I'm like kind of two hours from all there.
Brent
Yeah. And then you actually went with Tim Mattingly.
Anthony
Yeah.
Brent
On his show.
Anthony
Yep.
Brent
Nice.
Tyler
Thank you. So we got any super chats yet?
Brent
Yeah, we got a couple super chats.
Tyler
Let's do it.
Drew
All right. Rachel says please mention Wal County, Florida. Deputy Will May.
Brent
Yeah.
Drew
Killed in the line of duty April 2, 2025. He was shot while responding to a routine Trespass call at Dollar General killed the POS suspect at the scene.
Brent
Who did? He did.
Drew
Somebody did.
Brent
Yeah. The deputy was. They got him killed. Goes to show you, no calls routine.
Tyler
Yeah, this sucks.
Drew
Prayers go out to the May family.
Tyler
Yeah, you guys, if you don't mind. Keep talking that. I'm. I'm glad they gave the story behind it. They always give the story behind it.
Brent
So there's not a lot out there because they have yesterday. They have his picture up though, probably about all that. And I didn't know that the bad guy died, but I would like to know if he killed him or hoping responding units killed him.
Tyler
Hoping to let you know here in just a second. Carry, carry the weight for me while.
Drew
I do you think any neighborhoods are going to start rioting and, and, and marching against these people that shoot cops?
Tyler
Absolutely.
Drew
We ever gonna get a day like that? When's that gonna happen?
Tyler
That doesn't happen. Dang it.
Drew
Golly.
Anthony
I have seen what's blown up on social media. Is that kid that got stabbed at that track meet.
Brent
What?
Tyler
Oh, yeah, I did see that. Yeah. Get a little, get a little closer to the to chest is so big.
Brent
He can't.
Anthony
Yeah, I can't remember where it was, what city or state, but. Yeah, yeah. 17 year old kid at a track meet. He's competing, so he's a junior in high school.
Brent
Yeah.
Anthony
They have like a sun tent set up and some other kid is laying underneath it or something like that. So he goes up to this kid and was like, hey man, this is our team stuff like you got to go. And there's a little verbal altercation. Then he grabbed the kid and they started fighting. He got stabbed in the chest and died right there.
Brent
Died.
Anthony
Yeah. So now there's, so now there's all sorts of outcry about like, why is this not an issue? Why does this not fit the narrative? Because the kid that was pulled out from the tent that was basically under the like trespassing under the team's tent was black and he stabbed a white kid.
Brent
Oh yeah.
Drew
They're not.
Anthony
That doesn't fit the narrative. No, but that is starting to get some traction at least on social media for today.
Tyler
But just so you know, but from what I can tell, Deputy May did return fire. I was as. He was escorting the suspect out of the Dollar General who drew a gun, turn around. Fired. He returned fired. And it looks as if he, he killed the shite. So that's.
Brent
I'm.
Tyler
I know. It's, it's, it's, it's weird to say, but you know what I mean, That's. That's. No one wants to die, you know, and die in the line of duty. But. But if it's going to happen, and it's always the chance is never zero. Yeah, man. Go. Go down fighting.
Drew
Yeah. You know, you don't get like a sucker punch, right?
Tyler
Yeah. Go down fighting.
Drew
Absolutely.
Tyler
About that. That kid who was stabbed in the chest, he was also a football player. He had a twin brother. Yeah. By the way. And the. The interview by his dad, who just lost his son is one of the most stoic interviews I've ever seen. Like, he's just talking matter of fact about it. He doesn't even really get choked up until he talks about having to kiss his son's cold dead body goodbye. And he gets a little choked up there. But I'm. But. And the dad has a Christian shirt on. And he was like, hey, but in the day. I know. This isn't goodbye. This is I will see you later. You just. You just got there before I did. And I will see you soon. And I'm telling you, I'm not turn this into a sermon. But I'm telling you, I don't understand how some people get through life not being a Christian and not believing that God's in control and that, you know, there is a plan for this life. Otherwise it would be awful. It'd be awful. Dark. Gosh, then what's the point of anything?
Brent
Yeah, exactly.
Tyler
But, man, the. The. The dad just completely held himself together. Couldn't. Couldn't believe it.
Drew
Well, my two sons are here, so thanks for that story. Got one son who's in the military, another son who's going to. He's graduated fire academy and gonna be a firefighter for Deltona. So.
Brent
Nice.
Drew
Good job, boys. Proud of you. Carboxylated says. What's good, gents? Past MEPs and got my orders Tuesday going CBRN. What's that?
Tyler
Chemical, biological, radioactive and nuclear.
Brent
Dang, that sounds like an awful ait, bro.
Drew
I feel like he made up half of that.
Tyler
No, I'm.
Brent
No, that's right. Yeah.
Drew
So he's going toxic and attaching to a group as support, going in as E4. When I get to duty station immediately hitting the board for E5. I'm stoked.
Tyler
All right, good for you. And just pray we don't go to war with North Korea, because you will be a busy man working in very bad places. Hey, someone's got to do it.
Brent
Good for you.
Drew
All right. Salvador Balanos. Did you hear Sean Ryan's comments that the United States is no longer the good guys?
Tyler
Brent.
Drew
Can't wait for my cigars and swag to arrive.
Tyler
Thank you.
Brent
That's a nice way of asking, have you shipped it yet?
Tyler
I. So we've had interactions with Sean Ryan as a show. He's. He's all. He's always been good, you know, even when you made that short clip of. Of the. Of the. The live guy making the joke about. Yeah. Um, and since then, we've been in contact with him several times. He's always been a good sport and a decent guy, and everyone's entitled their opinion. But I will say this, I think for my likings, but, you know, maybe it's right up your alley, Tyler. Sean has gone down this little bit of, like, conspiracy theory, bought into it trail.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
And just. Just again, just more to my liking. And if you're gonna go down that trail, like, I understand how you could read some things, look into some things, and say, hey, we're not the good guys anymore. But to that, I respect Sean. I. Adam, I. I adamantly disagree. We are the good guys and always have been the good guys, and we'll continue to be the good guys.
Brent
I mean, sometimes when you're the good guys, you got to do bad things.
Tyler
But, yeah, trust me, people aren't going.
Brent
To agree with you all the time.
Tyler
Japan Provident think we were the good guys at one point, but guess what? We. We were the good guys.
Brent
I mean, we live in Florida. I'm pretty sure we took this pretty violently.
Tyler
Yeah.
Drew
Yeah.
Tyler
You know, well, I say we've always been the good guys. Maybe the Indians didn't think we were the good guys, but then again, that's. That's how. At the time, that's how war was, and that's how you got land.
Anthony
What did the Indians do, though? I mean, didn't they, like, do that thing where they rip people's scalps off of their heads? Pretty.
Tyler
I know.
Anthony
At some point.
Brent
Super nice.
Anthony
At some point, it's like, good guys, bad guys.
Tyler
This is what kills me. You know, it's. It's not even people from outside America. It's our own Americans that hate us for winning a war against Americans. There's not a. I don't know. You'd have to go back to the Garden of Eden to see who really owns land. Everybody in every country earned their land through bloodshed. Yep. And I guess, apparently when the Americans fought the Indians, that was when it stopped. And we. And we didn't Get. We didn't get the memo. Apparently, like, that was when it was no longer cool when we did it.
Drew
But, you know, like, when we. When we defeated Japan, at least they started making cool little cars. We defeated the Indians.
Anthony
Now I think there's a pretty major war that stopped when we defeated Japan.
Tyler
Yeah. What was that one? World War II? Yeah.
Brent
I still cannot believe we got away with Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Tyler
But you're right. I know what you're saying of swords.
Brent
Can't do that.
Tyler
Today, through your joke, we dropped two atomic bombs on Japan and they bounced back. And they provide us technology, they provide us cars, they provide us something. That's a solid question.
Brent
They don't want those bombs again.
Tyler
We, you know, we beat the Indians. The Japanese bounce back, as almost everyone has had to do. What do the Indians provide the world?
Brent
Casinos.
Drew
Casinos.
Tyler
They're not the only people to give us casinos. It's a good joke. We give it to you. It's a good joke. But the reality is, I'm saying, what.
Brent
Else do they give us?
Drew
They gave us good names for football.
Tyler
Teams, and then they took it away. No, they didn't even take it away.
Drew
Streets.
Tyler
White liberals.
Anthony
That was 100% white liberals.
Tyler
They're back. They're back on the war path to get the name back.
Brent
Speaking of cigars, though, I have a funny video in the very last video I say in Instagram was sent to me by a friend opening up their FRCC cigars. So it's on the very. It's the very last video I say it's gonna be all the way in the bottom.
Tyler
Is this a real one? You're messing with me.
Brent
No, it's real.
Tyler
Okay.
Brent
It came. It was in my. It was in my inbox. Is it go down? Oh, you. Are you it?
Tyler
No, he's in counterculture.
Brent
No, no, no, no, no. Go to.
Drew
Yeah, I need to go to you.
Brent
I gotta see who sent. Was sent by the anti Hero podcast to who? Hold on.
Tyler
Read.
Brent
Another super chat sack full of nades.
Drew
With a hundred bucks. Thanks, brother. That'll help pay for our AC service that we had to get done. Brent. Yeah, I said his name, right? Come at me, bro. Nice. What would you say is the biggest difference in brotherhood and team room vibes when it comes to CAG versus Green Berets? Always hear dudes at the Unit keep in touch with the ODA bros over.
Tyler
Unit bros. Yeah, that's. That's true for me. I probably keep in touch with more of my ODA brothers and the Unit guys. The Team Room vibe is, is very different. You know, when, when you're a Green Beret and hopefully you're, you're in a room full of, of your friends, like they're, they're your friends and there is a competitive, competitiveness to it, but it's more friendly when you're in your team room at the unit, you're with three other guys that are trying to outperform you.
Brent
I would say it's all like, they're.
Tyler
Your enemy that are trying to outperform you every day and it's, you know, shut up, do your job, be the best of your job or, or get out. And it's. I'm not saying there's not friendly moments. There absolutely are. But it is a different culture. It is a different culture.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
With a different, with a different.
Brent
What do you like? What do you like if you had to pick one, Even if it's 5149, do you like the team aspect where like we're all working together and, or do you like that every man does his job and then I expect you to do it without even looking at. And I know that is in the green gray community too, but yeah, the operator, the actual operator.
Tyler
Here's the, the answer actually, like, it isn't even in that. The answer is when I want to be at a place where I can watch the news and know that I'm on call and be like, oh, better go pack my bags. Something's about to happen. And then get put on the biggest missions and get put, you know, given the hardest problem set. Those type of. That type environment is given to teams who just try to out compete each other every day because they're the best. Yeah, the, the friendly guys, they're. They're not getting, they're not getting a call in the middle of the night ever. I don't care if you're a seal, Green Beret, Ranger, Marine, Raider. It's not, it's not, it's not in your cards. It only, it only goes to, to, to tier one units. And that's, that's the culture of tier one units.
Brent
Common theme for the night. Don't be nice. Before we go to that video, I just said, I forgot to mention that Mike from Cotteville is going to be there too. And I feel like a. Because he's always here on the live helping out. I know he could text me a text says thanks for mentioning. So Mike from his podcast is called Locked up with Copville. Podcast.
Anthony
Has he started yet?
Brent
Yeah, he's on Episode three.
Tyler
Really?
Brent
Yeah.
Anthony
That's amazing.
Brent
See you watching it, but yeah, it's in there. Here's the video.
Anthony
Oh, what did you order from first? What did you order from first Responder? Coffee, Anything?
Brent
This is yours.
Anthony
You just forgot to change the name. No, I didn't order anything. It has your name on it.
Brent
What she get?
Tyler
Yeah, I did not order this. What is it?
Anthony
Cigars.
Tyler
What an awesome chick.
Anthony
Oh my God, you're in so much trouble. I didn't order. Listen, if you are. If you're going to order tobacco products online, at least change the name. You're gr. Go get in your room.
Brent
Anthony said that I thought it was funny.
Anthony
She was really mad. She's going to be pissed if she sees that. I was like, I'm gonna post that on, on Instagram. She goes, do not do that. Do not do that. She was the one I was having problems with today.
Tyler
Oh, nice. Heck yeah.
Drew
Mr. M81 says. What's up boys? Fellow veteran and South Florida cop. I've been watching for a long time, but this is my first live stream JV team for life.
Brent
Yeah, thanks man.
Tyler
Mr. M81.
Drew
Welcome to the tribe, Brits Camaro. Hey, Brandy, have you read the Devil's Guard?
Tyler
Oh, it was a Devil's Guard. I. I've either heard her podcast on it or read it because I remember Devil's Guard. Now I gotta look it up. I. The Devil's Guard, if anyone is wondering which everyone may or may not be, is a book by George Robert E. For Elford and was published in 1971. The book depicts the story of former German Waffen SSS officers. String of near constant combat and then it changed on me. Okay, so it's about the, about the ss. No, I have that. That I did not. Oh, the Devil's Brigade I think is what I read. But no, I've, I've not. I'll tell you, it sounds weird, but I mean I respect our enemy. Gosh, this will get taken out of context. I haven't read a whole lot about like German, like special operations, like the ss, but I would like, I would absolutely read about that.
Anthony
I mean, why wouldn't you?
Brent
Yeah, history.
Tyler
I know people get weird if you, if. If you study Hitler for whatever. I'm just making it up now. If you said like, oh, you love Hitler, like you have to know one. I'll say this. You have to know what the enemy did and what the enemy does and then at the end of the day, whatever, and we'll stay with Hitler for a Second, he didn't do everything wrong at the end of the day. Like he did something pretty crazy like a little. Little country almost took over the world. So why wouldn't you study to see what. What people did right and people did wrong and. And take the good stuff and learn from the bad stuff. Yeah. I'd be.
Brent
I had like we. I'm just studying the giant swast on the wall.
Tyler
Oh that'll somehow that'll be.
Anthony
That'll Indiana Jones.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
Yeah.
Drew
Nate. You guys might have to help me with this one. Nate Taylor says I'm just spitballing here, but anyone who negatively. I don't know opinions.
Tyler
Opines.
Drew
Opines about tariffs will simultaneously. While simultaneously getting a taxi for their Taco Bell is not a serious individual.
Brent
What am I missing?
Drew
I'm missing something.
Brent
I'm missing something too.
Tyler
I believe he's referring to people who negatively like bitch and moan about. Which is what opine means about the 30% increase on whatever goods. I think what he's talking about with his taxi for their Taco Bell. But they'll pay Uber eats.
Anthony
Yeah.
Tyler
An extra seven dollars to come bring him an eight dollar meal.
Brent
Okay.
Tyler
Like how dare you raise it 30.
Drew
Absolutely.
Brent
Knowing what opine means helps with that helps context.
Tyler
Yes, yes, I got that. Guys. I cannot for the sake of the show. I cannot be the smartest man in the room. No.
Brent
I never heard of that word before.
Drew
Well, I'm not opining.
Tyler
All right.
Drew
Copdville is going to Jersey too. Thanks Tyler. And he's out. Doc Estavada gents search Karen Reed murder trial. Murdered Boston cop. Police say it was the girlfriend. She says it's a cover up and corruption. Lead detective got fired. Crazy.
Tyler
I think I know this one. I'm going to look this one up. Gosh, they're, they're. They're on it today.
Drew
Karen Reed murder trial.
Tyler
See if this is the one. I'm gonna be looking it up.
Drew
Ship Drew. So you know CBRN are the dudes who do the gas chamber for us in the military and get to watch us suffer.
Tyler
Yeah.
Drew
They're interesting people.
Tyler
Yeah. Like you guys still do the gas chamber. Jeff go to the gas chamber in basic.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
Elijah, good talk to go to the gas chamber. You still. You guys still go to the gas chamber and de mask.
Drew
Even nerds in cybersecurity got to do the gas chamber.
Brent
Hey, there's a. There's a second part to that message. Would you do a vid on where on this? No down. You read the gas chamber one. But then There's a whole other line now.
Drew
This is the next.
Brent
This is another one. Okay.
Tyler
Yeah, real quick. That's what I thought it was. The Karen Reed one is, is interesting and there's some documentaries out about that. But just to let everyone know what that is. Karen Reed is facing a retrial for the murder of her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O'Keefe after her first trial ended in a mistrial. Here's the accusation. Karen Reed is accused of striking her boyfriend John O'Keefe with her car and leaving him to die in a snowstorm outside a house party in Canton, Massachusetts, January 22nd. So that's. I do. There's something weird about you like broken tail lights or somewhere that the story has like holes in it.
Anthony
That was in 22.
Tyler
Yeah, didn't hear anything. Yeah, I'm a. I'm looking. I'm. I'm gonna look into this.
Brent
Karen.
Tyler
Karen. All right.
Drew
All right, let's see. Solely 1, 2, 3, 4 says would you do a vid on Ant Middleton? He's. He's ex sbs.
Tyler
Okay.
Drew
But is known to be a liar in UK SF circles. His book claims and beat up a woman police officer. He's a UK Tim Kennedy. Your UK contacts can confirm Alt Middleton.
Tyler
I tell you what, that would be difficult because yes, I have some contacts but man, nothing like like we have, you know, here in the States. But I'll put this out. I know we have a lot of listeners and by the time this thing gets recorded and put out it'll get 10, 20,000 views. If you guys out there from the UK have first hand knowledge about this and want to DM us and, and share some information about it, we'll absolutely look into it. Yeah, get me the contacts. We'll make the phone calls.
Drew
Got Brandon Bailey, Trevor, what sunglasses are those? I want to get a pair so I can look as cool as you. Bird opinions on the blackened and Pappy Von Wink cigars. Why is that not showing everything? What the hell, Bobby?
Anthony
True.
Drew
What? Dang it. Oh, something about. Yeah, Pappy Von Winkle cigars. Never heard of them. Never heard of her.
Tyler
Yeah, never heard of them. Never heard of her. Wish I could.
Drew
If I see one, I'll try.
Tyler
Yeah, absolutely. I try new cigars all the time. Especially when I go to cigar lounges everyday.
Drew
American. Any chance you guys could try and get angry cops on Seems like an extremely cool cop and has moved to detective.
Tyler
You wear them?
Brent
Yeah, he runs. He's a runs around with black rifle crew.
Tyler
Okay.
Brent
So he, he's actually the hype man for the Unsubscribe podcast tour. So the Unsubscribed podcast is a super podcast with, like, four big hosts that have their own podcast, and they come together to form a super podcast, and they went on tour, and Angry Cops was their hype man.
Tyler
Okay.
Brent
Yeah. But I've never really tried to reach out for him. I'm assuming he's like me. He's got to burn. Leave time to come here.
Anthony
Yeah.
Tyler
All right.
Drew
All right. Kane Corsov back.
Tyler
Yes.
Drew
Made the Sean Ryan, Navy SEAL joke. And sometimes I show my wife the numbers on that clip, you know, just so she knows who she's dealing with.
Brent
Show her. Tell her what's up.
Tyler
I don't know why I did this, but I was on our YouTube going through a couple of the shorts, just looking at, like, the number of views, like, our shorts get, and we have a couple over, like, over a million views on. On the short side and a bunch over, you know, 500,000. It's. It's kind of crazy. Yeah, I never look at the shorts. I always look at the episode numbers.
Brent
Because, yeah, the shorts are on Instagram and Tick Tock and you kind of Forget they're on YouTube, too.
Tyler
Yeah. Yeah.
Drew
So people like to look at your shorts. That's what it sounded like to me. All right, there's another guy. His name is Woodcock.
Brent
Your sons are over there, like.
Drew
Dad jokes all night. Woodcock. I don't think that's your real name, but we're gonna go with it. Hello, Brentifer and Teabagra. Dang, you got Teabag. Yeah, that's bad. Longtime stalker, first time caller. Brent. Brent. I, too, had a lazy R growing up, and it's. And it sucked.
Tyler
Yeah.
Drew
I've tried reaching out a couple of times on the Patreon about you guys coming to a Milsom, a Muslim airsoft event.
Brent
It does look like Muslim Airsoft, but Milsom, military simulation.
Tyler
Oh, okay.
Brent
Yes, I have read that. I am not ignoring you.
Tyler
Do you remember where it's at? Travel.
Brent
No, I asked him where it's at, so I. I was waiting on that answer, but he probably responded by now. But he said a lot of information. The only thing he didn't send was where it's at. So it just depends on when and where. And, you know, hey, send back a.
Tyler
Really, like, a cheap super chat just to let us know where it's at.
Brent
Where dates, because people in the chat might want to go.
Tyler
Yeah. Yep.
Drew
Let's see. Nate Taylor says you're all getting A gosh darn dictionary for Christmas.
Tyler
Not me.
Drew
Yeah, Brent, you qualify.
Tyler
Thank you, Plight designs.
Drew
Back in again, Bryce. A good book on World War II Germans would be solditon. So that's how you say that.
Tyler
Sure.
Drew
I don't know.
Tyler
I don't.
Drew
I haven't got my dictionary yet.
Tyler
Soldatin.
Drew
They. Yeah, that's nice. German. They interviewed and listened in on POWs and they tell how they truly felt about everything. Also, the books I sent you are great reads. Love you all sent up small library pl signs is awesome.
Tyler
Did you see where the super chat was?
Brent
Oh, God, he's just pointing where it's. Do it.
Tyler
Yeah. Are you looking at me? Yeah, it's over there. Yeah, gotcha.
Brent
Okay, gotta get in. See, he's pointing right over there. Yeah, I'm about to walk out. Hey, I think we missed a couple super chats, though.
Drew
Well, let me look.
Brent
Did we read the one about the Indians were forced onto the crappiest land possible and kept down by the US Government after losing the Indian wars? Whereas the Japanese touched our boats. We dropped the sun. Twice. They helped.
Tyler
We dropped the sun.
Brent
Then helped them restart their economy. That was from Weasel287.
Drew
Yeah, that's the one I missed.
Tyler
Okay, check it out. Weasel. We. We forced them into the crappiest land possible. That land is called America, by the way. And there's no fences and guards on these reservations keeping them there. They can. They can go anywhere in this country and live the American dream the way anyone else did. Say, say the same stupid story all the time. Me and my brother grew up in a double wide trailer on a dirt road.
Brent
Sounds like a country song.
Tyler
Yeah, the Indians could have done the same one.
Anthony
Plenty of them have. I mean, that's like. When you look at sociology and. And like where that comment comes from, that's all Marxist based, you know, oppression, you know, conflict theory. So it's like you get. You can. I. I actually spent a lot of time in college, so, like, they just pitch this crap.
Brent
Well, I mean, because you did bad.
Anthony
No, no, it's because I didn't. I just didn't know what else to do.
Tyler
Usually when you're in a.
Anthony
No, I kept going up though, so they kept charging me more money. But usually when you're in college for.
Tyler
Seven years, it's called a doctor.
Anthony
Yeah, well, pretty. Pretty close, but no, I mean, at least like I learned how to decode the language. And it's like, all right, you just got this liberal like conflict theory shoved down your throat for four to seven Years, so.
Tyler
And it's a simple as this. And we say the same thing, and this applies to everyone. If you're looking for the bad, you'll find it. And if you're looking for the good, you'll find. You'll find it. It's just. It's just that simple.
Brent
I think we missed one more.
Tyler
Oh, no.
Brent
I mean, it's from King Corsove and I know we've read it, but he says you guys both made it to the very top tier of your careers. Is there any other job that you think you could have been the best at or gone pro in?
Tyler
Yes, there's. There's something I wish I would have gone pro in. I think I could have been the best or one of the best feed store owners of all time. And if I had a second life to live, that's what, that's what me and my brother would be doing right now. Owning feed stores, living a simple life.
Brent
Would you franchise and become corporate?
Tyler
I. I do believe, because me and brother have. Still. He's my brother. Started several businesses. I've started businesses. It's in our blood. We can't help it. We would, we. We would have made it more complicated. It could have been very simple and we would have complicated it and we'd have done well at it. But that's. That's what my second. That's what. That's what else I could have done.
Brent
Wow, that's super boring. I would have been a rock. I would have been a rock star. So I, I. Every day I'm almost 40 and I'm like, I wonder if I should start a band. You know, get the guitar out.
Anthony
The answer is yes, Please do it.
Brent
Video all day long. It's never too late, I think. Yeah.
Drew
The lead singer, Nirvana was a rock star.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
What?
Drew
The lead singer Nirvana was a rock star.
Tyler
He wasn't real happy, was he?
Drew
Anyway, maybe it pays to be boring. Let's see. George Nicolo. This is the best podcast going Anthony tell one of your funniest, funniest stories. Don't let that get by me. Stories from working patrol. The boys will hold the fort down until you get back.
Anthony
I'm gonna have to think about it. I got nothing offhand.
Tyler
Oh, no funny.
Brent
No funny.
Anthony
I'm trying to think. Funny story.
Brent
Have you your pants?
Anthony
I have. Not my pants. I'm trying to think of any of those guys right there have shit their pants. I'll tell that story.
Brent
I've shit my pants once. It was at a domestic violence call and I Charted. And I was like, oh, and of course we're arresting somebody. And I told my partner, you gotta take this one, dude. I gotta go back to the station, call timeout.
Anthony
I did have one time. Like, you ever. You ever spit in someone's house? You ever do that?
Brent
Like, we just chew. Yeah, like you got tobacco in.
Anthony
Yeah. One of my buddies, I was. I was like two years on and maybe less. It was. Might have been my first year. We were part riding partner car. So they partnered us up for our first, like, six to 12 months. And me and one of the guys out of my academy are working this domestic, and it's this bunch of hillbillies and there's all kinds of noise, and it was just nonsense. And it was like. I was. I wasn't even half paying attention. My buddy was taking the report and he's got a big dip in. And then I'm kind of look over, I'm like, are we done yet? And he just goes, huh? And spits all over the carpet. And then everybody stops. There's like. It's kind of like this. There's like eight people in the room. Everybody stops and just looks at him and he just goes, all right, here's your report number. We're out of here. We just left. I go, do you even realize you spit, chew all over the floor? He was like, yeah, let's get the out of here.
Brent
To be a cop. Back in the day, do you ever. Do you ever go to people's houses and have to pee? And you're debating, you got to pee so bad, you're like, but you can't leave. And they're very nice people, and you want to be like, can I pee in the toilet? It's the most unprofessional thing ever. But if you're at a location and you can't leave, you got to pee. Like, you stay hydrated as a cop.
Anthony
Like, it's terrible. I mean, that's why I always try to have my pit stops on the routes. And then you go to call, you're.
Brent
On the way to calls, and you're like, you're running lights and sirens. Be like, I'm gonna be here a minute. And you stop in a gas station, you run in there and pee real quick, Run back in your car, keep going.
Anthony
Yep. Yeah. Cuz that's the last thing I want to do is be fighting somebody on scene and piss my pants.
Brent
It was because I had to pee.
Drew
Hightower. That's like. That's like the guy on Police Academy.
Brent
I Never, Right.
Drew
The big, tall black guy.
Brent
That his name?
Drew
Anyway, Hightower. Did y'all hear about Shauna Cloud? Maybe send her to South Carolina's oldie but goodie earth deletion tool.
Brent
Oh, my God. Shauna Cloud.
Drew
Shauna Cloud.
Tyler
Had to make sure. Yeah. All right. Shauna Cloud. This. This. Actually, I don't know if you remember. It came in as a super chat, I believe, a couple weeks ago. Do you remember to talk about the. The. The Green Beret that. That was. That disappeared?
Brent
Yes.
Tyler
In North Carolina.
Brent
Everybody kind of knew, but they were waiting on DNA.
Tyler
Yeah. So, in fact, I was watching Jay from the Green Bray Chronicles cover this. And so they found. They eventually found a body and a. In some body of water. And apparently this psycho chick cut off his arms and legs and head, which is why they had to go do DNA evidence of him. Because they couldn't.
Brent
They couldn't if all they found was a torso.
Tyler
Yeah. They couldn't look at his face because it wasn't there to see if that was the missing Green Beret or not.
Brent
Oh, yeah, they left that part out.
Tyler
Wife killed him, according to Jay. And. But I don't. Jay set up, I believe, unless someone says anything. Anything different, apparently it's a pretty gruesome thing. That's crazy.
Brent
Yeah.
Drew
That's not normal for a chick to.
Anthony
Do, like a guy to dismember someone. Yeah, yeah.
Tyler
Crazy.
Drew
That's. Next level chick stuff.
Anthony
Gosh, that's like that stock market chick you were talking about.
Tyler
Yeah, yeah. Emotional. That's right. Emotional.
Anthony
That'd be like the crypto version of that.
Tyler
Gosh, so crazy.
Drew
Ritz Camaro back again. Oh, y'all should have Jason Everman on. He was in Sound Garden and Nirvana and was a ranger and Green Beret.
Tyler
I have got to find a way to get a hold of that dude. It should be easier. I forget when they bring him, his name up, I go, that's right. I want to have that dude on.
Brent
Yeah. He. At some point, like five, seven years ago, he was doing contract work. So I know people that ran into him in the defect said it was super nice. He was always wearing. He was. Dresses like a hippie. Really wears flip flops everywhere.
Tyler
Gosh, I'm. While. While we're talking, I'm gonna send it out to one. I'm in a. In fact, I'm in this random, but I'm in a.
Brent
He's gonna forget he went to do it. Yeah, he's not gonna do it anymore.
Tyler
I'm gonna. This is the most random Chat that I'm in the vhat.
Brent
The vhat.
Tyler
I'm in a signal chat called the prep chat. It was the gosh ironic stumbling and talking about going to a tb. A TBI clinic. So I went to a TBI clinic after one of my Syria trips and got linked up with a bunch of other mental retards from the special ops community that have been hit the head too many times. And they sent us to VA Haley in Tampa, which was supposed to be like the leading TBI place in the world. And so we go there. That was years ago. We all got into this signal group and I'm talking 20, 18, 19. I can't remember when we first started the chat. And we talk almost every day since then. And in fact, they were a huge piece of the Tim Kennedy investigation because they're. There's there guys from special operations from all over the place. And a bunch of them were Green Berets. Remember the Green Beret we had from the Wheel in the wheelchair? George. George. George Vera. He was from that. That group chat. And so they've been a huge help to this show behind the scenes.
Brent
Wow. Yeah, I need to get into that chat so I can get a hold of you. And.
Tyler
There'S been times where there's like, are we gonna have to send a search party out for Brent? Oh, Brent's a. Brent's a big name podcaster now. He's too big for us. And eventually I have to come back. No, guys, I was just busy. Yeah. So I'm. I'mma ask for their. Their help one more time.
Drew
I didn't know this was a thing. So Salvador Banos says to all, what's your take on liam Nissom portraying Lt. Frank driven in the Naked Gun reboot? I didn't know there was a Naked Gun reboot. That's awesome.
Tyler
I love that humor. I'm air.
Anthony
Is Liam Neeson gonna be able to do it?
Tyler
I. I hope so.
Brent
Wait, I. Is it. It's a Naked Gun remake.
Tyler
Yeah.
Brent
I've never seen that movie.
Anthony
You've never seen the Naked Gun? Are you serious? That was like half the reason I became a cop. That's airplane.
Tyler
O.J.
Anthony
Simpson.
Tyler
Yes, they have O.J. simpson.
Anthony
That was a great movie.
Tyler
They had naked gun one. They had naked gun two and a half. Two and a half.
Anthony
And then 33 and a.
Tyler
33 and a third. Oh, just off the names alone.
Brent
Is Lethal Weapon any good? Because I've never seen that either.
Tyler
Lethal Weapons good. But it reminds me of that type of humor. What was The Rambo type of humor that. That had the. The same type of. Just ridiculous hot shots.
Anthony
Is that what you're talking about?
Tyler
Oh, my gosh.
Anthony
Yeah.
Tyler
That was Charlie Sheen music. These movies. Yeah, that was good stuff. Forgot about it. That's right. That was.
Anthony
Charlie Sheen.
Tyler
Did his best work on cocaine. People should get a pass. That's all I'm saying.
Brent
Pro wrestlers should be able to do cocaine and steroids. Wrestling would be so much better.
Drew
Nate Carter Sundays, I'm over 50 and have no idea how I created this super chat thing. Love the show. So here's $10 towards good AC.
Brent
Yeah.
Drew
Thank you, Nate.
Tyler
Jared Taylor, just. Just text me and. And loaded weapon.
Brent
Oh, is that a sequel?
Tyler
Yeah, it's just.
Anthony
No, that's a National Lampoon. It's like a spoof, right?
Tyler
Just one of those, like, spoof ones.
Anthony
Yeah.
Tyler
Jt, thanks. Thanks for watching and thanks for coming in. Clutch.
Brent
Yeah. So our AC went out. We have two AC units. This studio has one ac. And then the. The hangout, huge area in the front has its own AC unit. This one went out. So we just opened the doors and we were like, yeah, we'll call at some point. And then that one went out and then the AC guy came and was like, yeah, I got this one working, but that one's completely shot. It's 25 years old. So we're like, oh. So we call. We call the management company and we're like, hey, it's not a maintenance thing. It's a. It's. They got a fully replaced, like a 5,6000 dollar job. And they were like, oh, that's probably gonna fall on you. And then Brent was like, was like, well, if we buy the ac, do we take it with us when we leave? And I was like, that's a good point.
Tyler
We're gonna keep the broken AC unit and when we leave, we're gonna put it back. That broken one right, right back there.
Brent
But apparently the owner of this plaza is a Middle Eastern man that is all about the money and he's in Saudi Arabia right now. So no one get a hold of them.
Anthony
You can renegotiate that for like, if you're going to do upgrades that you can renegotiate the lease. I did that with that CrossFit gym.
Brent
They're going to be like, tried to.
Tyler
Anyway.
Brent
Yeah, here's another thousand dollars a month.
Anthony
Yeah, we're going to up it. Yeah, go yourself.
Brent
You want to open up the contract? Let's do it.
Tyler
Gosh.
Drew
So Papperman 3850 bucks. Thanks for the love. Thank you, Bort. TK says the reason he didn't go to the 18D is because they are weird. And you confirmed it. And Jocko says.
Brent
Good.
Drew
Again. I'm still here against my will, and Jocko is making me listen to all his JRE episodes.
Tyler
You know what JRE is?
Drew
Nope. Junior episodes?
Brent
No. That's a good guess.
Tyler
Yes. Not a bad guess.
Brent
That was a good yes.
Tyler
Anthony, you want to throw a stab at that jre? Yeah.
Anthony
It'd be Joe Rogan experience, right?
Tyler
Boom.
Brent
You should know the Pledge of Allegiance and the Joe Rogan experience. That's American.
Tyler
Yeah. Eighteen Deltas are weird. Generally speaking, There's. There's a bunch of down to earth cool ones, but they're not. They're not the majority, but they're undisputed the best medics in the military.
Drew
We're gonna need those guys. I don't care.
Tyler
Those guys. That's right. Be as weird as you want. You stitch me up. Be weird. That's what it takes.
Drew
Woodcock back in again. Event company is Veteran owned, operated, 40 hour event with sacks of Nades, TK lookalikes and small balls flying around, hitting people 10 to 12 October at Camp Atterberry Training Support Center.
Brent
Does anybody know where Camp Attabury Training Support center is?
Drew
Oh, yeah, Google does.
Anthony
Middle of nowhere. Indiana.
Tyler
Indiana?
Anthony
Yeah, we go down there once a year.
Brent
Okay, first off, a 40 hour event. I went airsofting with my kid for eight hours, and it was the biggest smoke session I've ever done. So, okay, you start off a day of airsoft, and you're like, I got this. You're just running smoking kids. And then when you get pegged, you got to go to the starting point. Okay? So you trot all the way back, and now you're a little bit more tired. And then these kids start really putting it on you. And every time you stand up, you're. You get ripped up with airsoft. And then you got to go back to the starting point.
Tyler
Now, how often would these kids peg you? Yeah, there's a lot of them.
Brent
I'm serious. They pull up in trucks and they jump off and they look like SEAL Team six.
Tyler
I know. You know what? I'm scared.
Anthony
Wasn't there a South park episode about that?
Tyler
I'll say it. Hey, I'm stepping into their world. You know what I'm scared of? Going out there as a Delta Force operator and getting owned by kids. You own a small feed store. What is this? Gosh, you know, you step into that battlefield, they'll be like, you're in my world now, Delta man.
Anthony
I learned that the hard way with flag football. So I played small, I played college football. And then all of a sudden, like, two years into my cop career, a bunch of dudes were like, hey, we should go play flag football. All of us were collegiate athletes in one shape or form, and we got roasted.
Brent
Really?
Anthony
Yes. It was embarrassing.
Tyler
It's a whole nother new. It's a different thing to flag football.
Drew
You gotta shake your hips in that flat.
Anthony
Yeah, yeah.
Drew
Right.
Tyler
But thanks for.
Anthony
Thanks.
Tyler
You know who was in. You know who got into Airsoft?
Drew
Oh, yeah.
Tyler
Drew did. Yeah.
Drew
Youth pastor, man. All them kids, that's all they wanted.
Brent
We all need to go. It's fun. We'll take the kids.
Drew
Yeah, I was heavily invested in that, man. Lots of money.
Tyler
Yeah.
Drew
We were charging batteries all over the house.
Brent
Well, you get the little ones. You get the little compact ones that run off double A's, and you can shoot each other. And they don't. They don't make any marks. They're not very. They don't have a lot of air.
Anthony
Pressure behind those ones that scare the. Out of the. The gas station attendance when you're robbing them. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Tyler
Take the orange tip off.
Brent
You're just good to go.
Drew
All right. Redline TV. 100 bucks. Thank you so much. He said, signed up for the hptrt. Excited for my initial consultation next week. Thanks for fueling my day. Tier one blend every day.
Tyler
Oh, yeah.
Drew
This guy's got all the good stuff.
Brent
He does.
Drew
Oh, by the way, I message you all at the Info at Hero podcast about the possibility of talking about military transition to corporate America.
Tyler
Yep, we did get that. We did get that. Yeah. Yeah. Vanessa sent that to me as well. Yeah, I think I told her it'd be a good Thursday night episode topic. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Brent
I don't know. We're not in corporate America, though, so.
Tyler
No, we're not. Which is why we need him to come tell us.
Brent
Well, he's asking us to tell him about it.
Tyler
No, we saying that he. He went from veteran to. Which I'm sure was a rude awakening. But you know what? Maybe not. And I'm interested to see what his take on it is, because the military, I mean, obviously has a bunch of military isms to it, but the military wants to be corporate America so bad. That's why they brought in PowerPoint. It's why they. It's why they do, you know, kind of what they do. And I wonder what the, the similarities and differences really are and what his experience was on that.
Brent
I'm good at shooting a 50 cal and PowerPoints.
Drew
All right.
Tyler
We're all caught up with oddly really good at PowerPoint and oddly really bad at Excel.
Brent
You got to make the columns all add. Like I want this column to add up into one thing. Yeah.
Tyler
And the problem is I can get good at Excel at times. Right. For when I'm making out something that I need. The problem is I don't do it enough. And so now I know what Excel can do. But I have to go back to a video to that explains how to. I don't remember how to do it. I know it can do it. It's just super annoying. I don't do it often enough to remember the steps to make it happen.
Brent
We're at our hour Mark and Anthony has got to jet. So I'm gonna spend the next five minutes kind of. Where can they find you?
Anthony
Easiest way is going to be probably my Instagram.
Brent
Anthony.
Anthony
Anthony underscore Heroic Industries.
Brent
Okay. So he's got a podcast called the Heroic Nation Podcast and that's on the Counterculture Network. He's got, you got your training program. But he also, if, if you join our Patreon, he's in the physical fitness chat and he gives away free physical fitness tips to our Patreon members. So that's pretty cool.
Anthony
Yeah, I try. Do they listen as much as people listen on stuff like that?
Brent
Yeah. You said I gotta run an exercise.
Anthony
Well, it's weird. You talk to people about fitness and nutrition. It's like everybody is an expert and everybody knows it. And it's like I've been doing this so long, it's like you just kind of like consult people with it.
Tyler
Yeah.
Anthony
Because there's some truth to it. Like if you know what you like to do and, and how you operate best, you know there is some truth to that. But at the same time, if you're not getting the results that you want, then you have to listen to other people. But now, like somebody that has done a lot of stuff like correcting those issues, the, the way to present that to people is not tell them what to do. It's just kind of present options.
Brent
Yeah.
Anthony
You know, that's. Otherwise they shut you down. Shut the fuck up.
Tyler
Getting fit is a easy three step process. One, and people don't want to want to be this simple, but it is. One, Join and get hbtrt. Step two, Join our Patreon. Step three, Ask the Jack dude, questions.
Brent
Three steps, fail safe process.
Tyler
It's so easy.
Brent
Oh, Anthony wanted to ask you or kind of challenge you about something.
Tyler
Oh, good.
Brent
So I'm sure.
Tyler
I love where this is going already. Yeah.
Brent
Nothing to do with drywall.
Anthony
I hope not. I was scarred from drywall as a kid. My dad can tell you that story. Yeah. So I saw that. The anti kipping pull up video.
Tyler
Yes.
Anthony
And man, I was very anti kipping. Well, I felt, I saw that and I was like, what fucking year is this? I thought I had a time machine and went Back to like 2012, the video. Well, just because like the, the whole argument of like tipping pull ups again, I was like, I thought we already had this conversation like 9 million times.
Tyler
That's the problem. We had the conversation, but no one fixed. They continued to do kipping pull up.
Anthony
Well, I thought you made an interesting point about CrossFit and like, like, I would really love to talk to like Greg Glassman, like the creator of CrossFit now because he's not in it. But like you said that it was created to get women into it.
Tyler
That's, that's my, that's my. That's one of my assumptions.
Anthony
It wasn't. It was created to increase the horsepower, to let people do it. And then women, because of the, the bodyweight ratio, strength stuff, Right. Like, they can do a bunch of kipping pull ups because of that. They'll go and keep coming. So it wasn't created for it, it just happened to work that way.
Tyler
Yes.
Anthony
You know, so it had the same outcome.
Tyler
But one of the issues that, that I kind of had with it that just, it's just inconsistent to me is that how strict they are on everything else. They're uber strict on their, on their deadlifts and on their cleans. They're very technical on that. Yet when it came to pull ups, they're like, eff it. Wiggle your body up however you can get it up.
Anthony
So the kipping pull up is a real pull up. It's a pull up variation from gymnastics. And the point of it is to work global extension and flexion of the spine. And they go through that in level one. They actually did a pretty good job like back in the day when I took it. The issue comes with everything else with CrossFit where it's like they don't actually maintain the standards because you put it on a clock and then everybody just wants to go hard. Right. So really the standard should be if you can't do at least five to ten regular pull Ups. You have no business doing kipping pull ups, period.
Tyler
Well, Tyler had a good point too, which, I mean, it's just easy to make fun of and it's beyond. It's fun to make fun of and.
Anthony
It'S deservedly to make fun of. It really is.
Tyler
I do wish they'd have done this and a lot of guys did do this, but there should have been like, this is the beginner part, you know, and the beginners are allowed to do this yet this is, this is where, this is where we're headed towards. And a lot of guys on ODAs, like, when I forget the name of it, when you do those, the 21, 15 and nine workouts, I mean, that's. We would do those same workouts, but they would be strict, you know, pull up pull ups on 21, 15 and 9. So. But I don't believe you know more than I do, but I don't believe CrossFit ever officially went to that stance. And it was like, hey, like, if you can do real pull ups, do these real pull ups. Because I would go to CrossFit competitions and see Jack dudes who could easily do real pull ups, not do them well.
Anthony
They're just, they're slower. So if you put some on a clock and you're like, all right, here's the standard. You get it done for time. Like you do as fast as possible. That, that, that becomes like, you're training for a sport. You know, you're training for a little thing. And CrossFit competition is a unique thing by itself. And it's like, how much application does CrossFit as a sport have for everything else? Nothing, because you know what I mean? It really doesn't. Like John Wellborn from CrossFit Football, he's got some awesome stuff he's been saying lately.
Brent
The hell's CrossFit football?
Anthony
So that's an.
Brent
He's.
Anthony
It's called power athlete now. I think Andy Stump actually knows him really well. But yeah, so he's been like, he was on a podcast just ripping CrossFit apart and he was saying it's like, what do you say? It's a, like a linear plane warrior or something like that. Because everything that you do in CrossFit is straight up and down and forward. There's no side to side. There's. There's nothing in. In other planes of movement, which is like, so how do you take that and apply it to functional. You can't. Unless you only operate in a straight line forward.
Tyler
There's, there's I granted there's some, there's some arguments for that, but how. I guess my rebuttal would be because most, most of my. I'll say something stupid, this is the best term for my tactical athlete career was just hey, run, lift, heavy. Like I just wasn't much into anything else. And so where do you, where do you get the like the other movements from like actually doing your job and doing other things and playing sports and playing basketball. But those linear movements is where you're going to create and gather like most of your power from. You know, if you're looking to, if you're looking for strength because you can't, you can't go real dynamic left and right with you when you start incorporating heavy weights.
Anthony
Yeah, you can. So, so yeah you're right. And that's, and that's like a really good simple thing to remember is like, like listen, what do I need? I need to be able to run and I need to be able to squat, push and pull and that kind of stuff. And yeah, you're, you're absolutely right. From just a gross motor pattern like yeah, this is where you're going to, you're going to generate all of your strength and horsepower from these big movements. But from a training standpoint you still have to be able to do some unilateral stuff. Some, some side to side stuff. You're not going to be doing it with you know, a heavy ass barbell on your back more than likely.
Tyler
Right.
Anthony
But it can augment the stuff that you're doing on your job or in your sport. And what you did, did really well there is. You made a distinction between sports specific and general physical preparedness.
Tyler
Right.
Anthony
And that's where people fuck things up a lot of times is they try to put like bands. And I saw something Instructor Zero posted the other day and he was had dude standing on like half Bosu balls with like sandbags attached to stuff. And I was like this is, it's too much like fake functional. Yeah, it, that doesn't help anything.
Tyler
One of my. Well I hope I don't screw it up. One of my favorite Matt Pranka quotes was geared towards crossfitters was I, I never, I never had to clean and jerk anyone on, on target or something. I never had to, I never had to deadlift anyone on target. It was something like towards. I never to clean anyone on target. You know talking about the. And he's, and he's kind of right. I mean Matt, you have to know Matt, Matt is very, I say this narrow mind of thinking. But sometimes there's something beautiful about someone just going, hey, forget all the, you know, all the fluff.
Anthony
It simplifies it.
Tyler
Yeah.
Brent
One thing I will say though is they are fit. And if that, if you like CrossFit and it keeps you in the gym, by all means you say that.
Tyler
And I'm not. And I'm not. Here's the argument to that because it was hilarious. I saw someone put up in our gym overseas one time and it was like the one year transformation, like the before and after and it had the crossfitter before and the crossfitter one year later and it's the same exact photo. And there's a lot of that too. There's a lot of that too. There's a bunch of.
Brent
You got to take trend also.
Tyler
Yeah.
Anthony
Trend in the CrossFit gym.
Tyler
I wasn't heavy in the CrossFit. I just know enough about it because of teammates to do it. And I say the problem is this. And it's not the problem, it's the beauty of it as well is that it's. You're in a competition with yourself. So part of the problem sometimes being a competition with yourself is guys just aren't that. They're not that motivated to main. To maintain that it's strict. They're not that motivated to put in the good first time. They're just, you're, they'll just put in what they feel like putting in that day. When you're, when you're in a competition against yourself, if you're not a driven individual, does that make sense? Kind of what I'm.
Anthony
Yeah. So what I've also seen is that you talk about the before and after. So a couple things there. Right. So I ran a CrossFit gym as a part time job for like almost a decade. And what I always saw was we had the before, we had the after and then we had the after after. So you'd have, you'd have them go from like, you know, get into shape and then a year later it's like kind of fell out of shape. You know, you still have the same capacity. Like your strength is the same, all your metrics are the same for your, for your aerobic stuff. But you start to put on body fat and then you start to look at it and it's like, well, you're actually going too hard too much, you know, because you can't overuse intensity. And that's the biggest issue with CrossFit, with injuries and with breakdown and with physical breakdowns. Like you can't just go hard every single day.
Tyler
Yeah.
Anthony
Or you break, you know, you wreck your metabolism, you wreck your joints. And like, I've made those mistakes and it just, it pains me to see people getting into it now where it's like, don't do this every day. Like, you can go an 8 out of 10 and still go hard and then save the 10 out of 10 for like one day a week.
Tyler
So when I was, when I was training up and at the end of the day is, I'm also, there's, there's, there's a general fitness, you know, during my career that I was, that I tried to always be in, but then there's always training for something specific. Like there's always something, at some point during your year there is something you should be doing that's either a competition.
Brent
Training for something.
Tyler
Yes. Something you're trying, a goal, you're trying to get to and training for something. Because general fitness, it can be. Don't get me. It absolutely can be. But if you're, you know, if you're let's just say say a SWAT cop, like at some point there is probably going to be a SWAT competition that you should now be training for and no one really cares how much you can bench press. You know, during this SWAT competition, you should probably get on the O course, you should probably do a bunch of, a bunch of Tabata sprints, you know, and get in whatever shape that is. So. But even when I, when I was in general, you know, in more of like a general shape, I would, I would lift, I would lift heavy, generally speaking, four days a week and on Fridays or Saturdays. And I'd always listen to my body. I would have a hit, a high intensity workout that I would do that had high numbers, 15, 30 minute workout, heart rate, you know, as high as I could do. But I only do that about, about once a week.
Anthony
Yeah. Because otherwise you break.
Tyler
Yeah. Like, yeah.
Anthony
And then what you're saying about like having something on your calendar per year, what that also, like, not only does it keep you motivated and focused, but it allows you to periodize your gear so you can change it, which also helps you not to just overuse the same shit over and over and over again.
Tyler
Absolutely. Yeah.
Brent
I will say this. The military and SWAT style O courses are the fucking worst. And many people have not ran a real O course. They just don't know. Like, I hate it.
Tyler
I, I would say generally speaking, SWAT oak horses, they're, they used to be really standardized, but I've seen some Some variants in it. But they're. But they're generally the competition run one is your.
Brent
Oh, yeah, yeah. That's part of. Dude. It kicks it off with Jacob's ladder. Would you got to go up like a fucking monkey. Like.
Tyler
Yeah.
Brent
Around.
Tyler
Yep. The. It's. They're. They're all a lot. A lot like the Orange county one. That's almost.
Brent
Because they all want to train for that.
Tyler
That's right.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
And it's only if. If you're in decent shape, you can do it in five minutes. I've done it in under three minutes. And. And that was when I was just. Just training for that. But you're like, oh, that's a pretty. Like this guy. When I was in the best shape of my life. Like you could do that in three minutes. It's got to be a pretty easy O course. I can do anything for three minutes. It was the hardest O course because you're in the red line for three straight minutes using every part of your body. Like a military O course is usually spread out. Spread out.
Anthony
You're running from obstacles.
Tyler
Yeah. You can jog from obstacle, catch your breath, let your heart rate go down and then attack the next.
Brent
As soon as you finish an obstacle, the next one's staring. On the third run, there's a three runs. There's up, down and back up. On the third one, it's just gross motor skills. You're just throwing yourself up on platforms.
Tyler
Everything's burning. And that three minute obstacle course, when I was done with it, I would. I would cross the finish line and just lay on my back, you know, just quezing for just no one talk to me for about five minutes. I gotta. I'm about to throw up.
Brent
I need an inhaler.
Tyler
Yeah, you can do that to three minutes to someone.
Brent
To someone in good shape before you leave. Kenny from beyond the Barrel commented. He said, I need Anthony to tell me how you can do more pull ups compared to the haters on this podcast who hate on CrossFit pull ups. I read it late. You got to it.
Tyler
But.
Brent
But that.
Tyler
Was that a question for him?
Anthony
Yeah.
Brent
Well, he answered it.
Tyler
Oh, he already. Okay. Yeah.
Brent
Yeah. So. Okay, Anthony, thanks for coming. I know you got to bounce. We're going to hit our commercial break and then hit the super chats.
Tyler
Hey guys. I want to introduce our latest sponsor, Brotherhood Blades. They're made for cops and first responders by cops. They make it the way they do because they know what the job means. Everything is handmade or machined in the usa. Their blades are made to be used and abused because they have some of the best super steels offered. With the use of super steels, general care is limited. You can use it and forget about it without the fear of rusting something first responders are good at. Lifetime warranties come with every blade that cover pretty much anything other than losing your blade or using it to perform outlandish tasks they wouldn't usually use the blade for. Probably like using it as a screwdriver, something we've all done. They have a lifetime sharpening. You only pay one way shipping. If you want to head over to their custom page, your imagination is their limitation. They'll try anything once they've outfitted numerous teams without blades and have customized the blades to their specifications, including custom lasering sheath, color schemes and sheath attachments. Head on over to brotherhoodblades.com and get you one. And by the way, I'm not just a spokesman for them, I'm a customer. I carriers every day with me and I wouldn't be talking about them if I didn't trust their product promo code. Anti Hero 10 Seracode is what we are known for, but we do a lot more. How Arms is a disabled veteran owned business specializing in custom firearm creation and gunsmithing. Richard Howe, the company's founder, is a two tour army combat veteran of the Afghanistan conflict. After his service, Richard earned his degree in marketing and founded Howell Arms using both the skills from his time in the army and his college degree. Richard's goal for How Arms is to redesign and customize firearms that are both reliable and combat proven. Our entire team is comprised solely of disabled veterans or family members. This is not a self feature but a choice to help other veterans transition into civilian life with a purpose and support network. Hey guys, I want to introduce our latest.
Brent
And we're back.
Drew
And we're back.
Brent
Later, bud.
Drew
Someone hit my camera.
Brent
Your camera? Oh.
Drew
All right.
Brent
Oh.
Drew
Who did it? I'm sure it was one of my kids. It was. Oh, I was gonna blame it on the firefighter.
Tyler
All right, keep moving it. Do your best. Needs to go over just a little bit more. It can just be a little better.
Brent
You did. Yeah. Be like, yo, the. The dudes from the antihero podcast want you to come on.
Tyler
Nice.
Brent
Okay, nice. Put us in a group chat. All right, let's go back to super chats. Hopefully we've been saving them.
Drew
All right, we got Zubi. Zubi.
Tyler
Zubi.
Drew
Zubi says, do you think. Nope, nope. Habibi. Habibi says. Thoughts on CDLS Commercial driver's licenses.
Brent
Thanks, Drew.
Drew
Issued with. No. Those are letters. I know.
Tyler
Yeah. Good job.
Drew
I had to do the ones that I know. Thoughts on cdls issued with no name given. California and Texas. Thoughts on CDLs issued with no name given. Apparently, California and Texas will give out CDL licenses where the name is. It says no name given. Where the name is.
Tyler
That's.
Brent
I don't know.
Tyler
I don't pull over trucks.
Brent
I don't pull over anybody anymore, but definitely not trucks.
Tyler
That. That is crazy. And our tractor trailers.
Brent
Frontline workers like you consider lymen. Because we got to promote your new bag, so.
Tyler
Well. Okay, we'll get to that. That's actually a great. And we're gonna. We're. We're gonna pull the audience on that now. I'm not surprised. California does that because they do stupid stuff.
Brent
Thanks, bro.
Tyler
But for Texas to do it, too, makes me seem like maybe there's some sort of legitimate reason behind it, but.
Brent
I think this is turning into California.
Tyler
Oh, man. That's. I mean, there's Austin, of course, but that. Yeah, that's crazy.
Brent
I mean, is it like a I identify as type thing, or is it like a. Because that's a sovereign citizens, like, seeming thing?
Tyler
Yeah.
Brent
Like, I'm traveling. I'm not driving.
Drew
You never trust anyone from Austin or Boston. That's. That's the. That's the old saying in Texas.
Tyler
Yeah. I don't know. I'll have to. I'll have to look into that to see why it is. They would. They would think that was a good thing.
Drew
You know, Texas is a very red state, but Austin. You're turds. All right, Mr. Lobotomy. Today marks the 33rd time around the sun for me.
Tyler
Oh, man. Happy birthday.
Drew
Good.
Brent
I was about to ask what that means. Happy birthday. He travels a lot.
Tyler
Let me go ahead and. Let me go ahead. Let's. Let's go ahead and talk about this.
Brent
We debated this.
Tyler
We. We debated this. Okay. In fact, I'm a go get it.
Brent
I'll preface them.
Tyler
Okay.
Brent
All right. So we had spoken about. What is a first responder. Do you think that lineman, the new. Is it released yet? Is it coming out?
Tyler
The. We haven't put it out like in our marketing campaigns yet, but the shirts just came in. We're still waiting on the. On the coffee bags to get here, which would be here, and probably two weeks, if I had to guess. So it's on the way. It's on its way.
Brent
So we were debating on whether or not linemen are first responders. And Brent brought to the table, he said that linemen show up to Florida or the panhandle or where, you know, wherever gets hit by a hurricane, they're the first ones here.
Tyler
And here's. So here's the. I feel like it's. This is the gray area of it. Are they. Do they live their life kind of like cops and firefighters and ems? Do they live their life as first responders every day? No, they do not. I mean, I'm not going to sit here and tell you that. Should they be considered first responders? Because they do have an aspect in their life that they are first responders. Well, you guys tell me, you guys tell me.
Brent
I would like to call them staged responders because they come in pre storm, they hang out in the hotels like everybody else, and then once the storm has blown over, they're the first ones responding.
Tyler
Correct. I mean, they, they. Maybe there's a lineman in here. I hope there is. That'll tell us, you know, how soon they're. They're able to get, you know, release to go do their jobs. But I know this. We get hurricanes in here in Florida all the time. We are rarely out of power for a significant amount of time, and the power doesn't fix itself. Linemen go out there while the power is still out, while the trees are.
Brent
Still down, while they're, you know, dramatic.
Tyler
About it, while there's live wires still hanging on the ground. They're the ones that go out there, find it and get it back and get your power back.
Brent
I wish as a cop, when I respond post hurricane, I got paid three to four times my salary. That's pretty cool that they get that.
Tyler
That they do get paid.
Brent
Yeah. I mean, I thought they were coming with their heart and willingness to help, but.
Tyler
But you know what? It goes back to this and it's. But it's true. When you're out of power for three hours to three days, you. You would pay them whatever it is they ask for to get your power back on.
Drew
Well, that would be the same thing as an AC service man. If your AC goes out, if your AC goes out, you will the first one to respond.
Brent
Where's your AC service guy? Back of coffee, Brent.
Drew
And, and he, he, you will pay.
Tyler
Anything to get that AC back going in the summer.
Brent
You will. It's $600. That's it. Okay. Yeah, fix it.
Tyler
It's so much more than ac. It's your ac, it's your fridge, it's. It's your WI fi.
Brent
But what he's saying is when you're, when you're bent over and you need something, if that person provides it for you, are they now a first responder?
Drew
That sounded so gay.
Tyler
I know, I don't know where the line is drawn, to be honest with you, but this is the argument. We get these requests all the time. We have a nurse bag. Okay, we're first responder. Coughing. We have a nurse bag. We are nurses first responders. I mean, now we're going to hurt people's feelings. They never leave their air conditioned hospital. They're not the first on any scene. All their patients get brought to them. They're not first responders. And yet there, there's a ton of people out there that, that say nurses are first responders. And I feel like for whatever reason, whether you get put in or don't get put in the first responder umbrella, people take it as like a slight like, oh, you don't think my job's important because I'm not a first responder. Yeah, you can have an important job without getting labeled a first responder. Let's, let's, let's go down this road for a second. Dispatchers never leave their air conditioned room, yet they have a color on the first responder flag because they're first responders. And people can yell at me all they want. We don't have a dispatch. We don't have a dispatcher bag.
Brent
It would be full of extra sugar.
Tyler
And I'm not saying that their job isn't important and that they don't hear or horrible things just because I say you're not a first responder. In my humble opinion, it doesn't equate to, oh, but your job's not.
Brent
Yeah, I think we're using it to explain a type of job, but I'm being very literal in the sense in this argument, like first responder. So.
Tyler
And now, okay, now that we're talking about it, juices are flowing here. I think at the end of the day, when you talk about being a first responder is part of the, part of the allure if, if you will, or the extra benefit you get for being a first responder is because you're there first when there are no, when there are no where it's very unknown and it's dangerous. Yeah, if, if we're being honest, when cops go to a call, they're first respond, they're the first on scene. It's dangerous when firefighters get there. They're the first. Second on scene, Second on scene.
Brent
They are second but they could be.
Tyler
The first on scene. They're a first. First responder. It's. That's when it's dangerous.
Brent
You'll see that rig backing up quick.
Tyler
Going into a burning house is dangerous.
Brent
That's true.
Tyler
And so part of the argument then is linemen being first responders when they go out into. Into the unknown of post hurricane downed wires. The hurricane. Maybe, maybe by. But I'm sure it's. It's still raining. It's still a shitty position. They're out there in the rain working on electricity. It's a dangerous job. And that's where I will give them. They're not full time first responders.
Brent
But for three months out of the year.
Tyler
But they're. They're first responders and that's what differentiates them from. From the other people who I said technically aren't first responders.
Brent
You're starting to lose me on this.
Tyler
On. Yeah. How.
Brent
How you said they are first responders. Even though they aren't first responders.
Tyler
Even though they're not full. They're not full time first responders.
Drew
Yeah, like all the time.
Tyler
But guess what? You're a football player. They don't play football 365 days a year.
Drew
That's an argument.
Brent
I'm a cop. I'm not a cop 24 hours a day.
Tyler
Boom.
Drew
Well, there you go. Made our argument.
Tyler
Yes.
Brent
Thank you.
Drew
Thank you for giving us.
Brent
I'm saying that it's irrelevant. It's irrelevant. Nobody does something 100% of the time all the time.
Tyler
Right. But.
Brent
So that's like saying you did a ride along. Are you a first responder now? You did it for once.
Tyler
And that, that's where the. That is where the argument comes into how often and how dangerous.
Brent
How you define.
Tyler
That's right. And that's where it gets very subjective. That. And that will. Will agree on that. And let's see what 86 people respond to and see what it's split down the middle. See what the people say about.
Drew
I'm so far. But there was. There was a guy in the chat that was a. He's been a cop and a medic and a. And he's now a lineman and he doesn't consider himself a first responder as a lineman.
Brent
Oh and he comes from.
Drew
But where is. But where does he line?
Brent
You know, I mean he's a lineman.
Drew
He's a lineman. But you know hurricanes. I don't know.
Tyler
So that being said. And I'll say it here for the rollout and because it's what we do. And I do respect them when they, when they answer, when they answer the call, whoever is answering the call. Maybe they said it depends on who the linemen are. Like I'm sure there's linemen now, although like in Florida, I know they come in from all over the place. To pre stage, we will donate $1,000 of coffee once the lineman bag hits in two weeks. The next time there is an event where a natural disaster that linemen are called to, to do a dangerous job, we will send $1,000 worth of FRCC coffee to those linemen and to, to keep, to keep them up and keep them going while they do their dangerous job.
Brent
Here's, here's how you're going to know if they're first sponsors or not ready. This is, this is how you know.
Tyler
Yeah.
Brent
If they support your small business, they're not first responders.
Tyler
That is, that is funny because it's true.
Brent
Yeah. Firefighter, actually, I will say this. Firefighters are fucking phenomenal at supporting each other. They are, they are, they're better firefighters. Firefighter, you know, he knows how to build. Bill, they're calling him. He opens up a barber studio on his days off. They're all going to him. So maybe, maybe it's just the cops.
Tyler
Thank you for. Let, let. Let the poll go a little longer because hopefully, like maybe between us arguing our points, maybe some people put a vote in early without hearing both sides of the argument. And so maybe they, maybe they're just waiting to, to figure out what their answer is.
Drew
So what's that actor? Who the, the guy that played on Grease. I forget his name.
Brent
John Travolta.
Drew
John Travolta. He starred in a movie about alignment.
Brent
I thought that'd be a boring movie.
Drew
No, it was awesome. It was great because you know, look, the hospital's down. There's people that need that power to save their lives in the hospital. And he gave his. And I think it's inspired by a true story about this lineman that gave his life to get electricity back up because if he didn't, the hospital wouldn't have had the power that it needed to keep people alive.
Brent
Oh, true. Stop.
Tyler
So dramatic. Now I'm turning against them now.
Brent
But here's the thing, here's the thing. If that is not a true story, you just made that up. You guys win the argument and then I can't say anything because it's alive.
Drew
Okay, well, let's see. We got gotta get catch up on some super chats here. Zubi, Zubi, do You think it's fishy Trump hasn't gotten the deals done with Israel and Ukraine to stop the wars yet? Especially since aipac, some type of Israel.
Brent
Is it Trump's job to stop the war?
Drew
Super suspect.
Brent
That started before him, right?
Tyler
I don't think it's super suspect. No one has figured out the peace in the Middle east between Israel and Palestine. So I don't find it fishy that he hasn't got that deal done yet. The war in Ukraine and Russia has been raging on for years now. I would say this. I believe he's been the most proactive at trying to get a deal done, and it's not over. So I don't think it's fishy. I think. What's he. He's been in office for three months. Just nothing happens fast at a political level.
Brent
He'll be out by the time he.
Tyler
Gets it done, you know, and he very well might wait.
Brent
He can't do another four years, right? It's eight. No, it's not consecutive, right?
Tyler
No, no, it's not consecutive. Here's. Here's what. That's a. That's a good topic here. And then we'll get into the Elon Musk thing.
Brent
Okay. Oh, yeah, we got you.
Tyler
Here's what's driven the left crazy. And you know what? But let's be consistent. He's not doing himself any favors by saying that. So he said that. That a lot of people, like, oh, he was just joking about a third term. I said he was joking, said he was just joking about it. And then he went on an interview, and I can't remember who he's on an interview with and whether it was on the interview or after, it basically told her, said, no, no, I'm not joking. There is a way around it. Like, I can. I can do a third term, which is. Which is unconstitutional. And it's crazy for him to say that it is. And I had to look into that. There's something around JD Vance basically running for president and then. Right. And then him giving the powers over to Trump. There's something weird like that. They figured out, like, a loophole that it could be done. And I love Trump and I love what he's been doing. I think that's a stupid thing for him to say. And he doesn't gotta worry about realism. And he's not. And he's not helping himself when he says things like that. And the left already hate him for all the good things he does. Don't say anything dumb. That's A clear, that's a give me. You know, to those guys, he's like a wrestler.
Brent
He says what's on his mind.
Tyler
I know. And that's the thing. You take the good with the bad with that guy and, and it is what it is.
Brent
All right, the Elon Mustang. Let's, let's talk about that.
Tyler
It was, it was big in the news that Elon Musk is stepping down from Doge. And everyone is, is like, well, he couldn't handle the pressure. Like they're burning down his businesses and so he has to go back and there's all sorts of speculation of why, that he's leaving or that it's some sort of like newsworthy announcement. In his special elected capacity, he can only serve 130 days. Oh yeah, we're coming up on the cap of his 130 days. He, he, he had, he has to leave, you know, regardless. So there you go. So, yeah, so there, there it is. Don't get me wrong, there's workarounds where they, they could end up like making that position and hiring him. But as under the way he was hired and that special position, it's 130 day cap and we're almost there. So settle down. It's no big deal. And by the way, he does at the end of, the guy runs SpaceX and he runs Tesla and he owns Twitter. Like he can't be doing Doge for, for four years, although I wish he would. But what he's done in these 130 days is he will set up a good foundation to run without him.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
And so he's, he has done his job. And I'm sure he is not done with Doge. I'm sure he will still, you know, come in as some sort of advisor counselor in another role that he's permitted to do. But I just saw a video. It's a great video. These, this Tesla vandalism has got to stop. It, it's, it's crossed the line. It's crazy. It's absolutely crazy. And so by them doing this, they've basically proven it was never about the environment. It was all about politics. Because if it was about the environment, you'd still love electric cars. And this guy was showed up to a protest and the protest kept on chanting, sell your Tesla. Sell your Tesla. Sell your Tesla. The guy had a great question and he goes, sell your Tesla. To who? He's like, what? You know, just get rid of your Tesla. He goes, well, if you get rid of your Tesla, someone else is gonna buy it. So once they sell their Tesla once is the Tesla now good? Like someone has to buy it.
Drew
That's the long term thinking of the left.
Tyler
So who do you sell your Tesla to? Your chant is to sell your Tesla. So if you sell it, it means someone bought it. It means someone else now owns this Tesla. Are they cool now or are you happy now just because they sold it once or anyone that buys it is, is the problem. And they start talking about, well, anyone that has a Tesla is the problem. He goes, but your chant is sell your Tesla. Yeah, so it just, it just makes no sense as, as none of their, as none of their political positions really. Do.
Drew
You guys want to do chats?
Tyler
And I just, I just want to end the last thing I want to say about, about Doge and, and this. I think I've said it before, but it's, it's, it's worth saying again. They're so upset and demented about this hatred for Elon Musk. Elon Musk has no power. He can't take away. He can't take away Social Security. He can't take away and do. He has no power of the purse. The only thing he can do is look into things and give recommendations to Congress who does have the power of the purse. So this person that they hate who thinks he's dismantling the government has the power to dismantle zero. So think about that as well. When, when, when you find out like how much they hate him and what he's doing, this government, then you find out the guy doesn't have the power to do anything.
Drew
And he said straight up, they're not doing anything to Social Security and, and Medicaid or Medicare. And in fact, they're going to make it better. They're going to make sure that people who are supposed to get what they're supposed to get is going to get it and get it better.
Tyler
I've never seen so much hatred and violence over a guy whose sole job is to save the government from, from fraudulent waste and fiscal abuse.
Drew
It's just stupid people listening to stupid news.
Brent
What's the poll?
Drew
Poll is at 160 people.
Tyler
Show the results.
Drew
Well.
Tyler
Here. Show the results.
Drew
Well, if I do that, it might close it.
Brent
Yeah, don't close it.
Drew
The results are 51 yes and 49% no.
Brent
Are you serious?
Tyler
It's a resounding victory.
Brent
You might be making that up.
Drew
We can't see that, okay, Because Drew's a liar. So we need 60 to overturn it. We didn't get that, so I'll give you that.
Tyler
Yeah, the. It's a.
Drew
The first responders have it.
Tyler
Yeah. It's a. It's a. It's a divided. It's a divided room on first responders voting.
Brent
Yes. All right, let's go. Super chats.
Tyler
Super chats.
Drew
All right. Woodcock back in. Says this is about that airsoft thing. I guess no kids allowed. And airsofters are thirsty. I'm sure the player base is normally vets Leo and first responders or aspiring to be, like, linemen, so a lot of linemen. Nice. That sounds fun.
Tyler
It does sound fun. I wish it was closer. Do something in the southeast next year. We'll. We'll go to it.
Brent
Yeah.
Drew
Yeah. We don't have Teslas. Outro music request.
Brent
Copperhead Road.
Drew
Copperhead Road. Not rushing, y'all. Just wanted to get it in early.
Brent
Brett went with the highest bidder last time.
Tyler
I did. Well, will someone bid over 20 bucks to not play Copperhead Road? Not. I'm not against the song. I just don't. You don't like it? It's a great song. It just doesn't really fit. Usually the angry rock music outro that we. We traditionally do, but we'll. But right now it's in the lead.
Drew
We're all about diversity. Brian Isaacs. It would be fun if you guys have the fat electrician on talking about history.
Brent
Yeah, that would be awesome.
Drew
Who's the fat electrician?
Brent
He's one of the guys on the unsubscribed podcast.
Drew
Oh, yeah.
Brent
His YouTube crushes. Like, he tells those history stories about, like that. He did like that. The. The filthy 13 or whatever that.
Tyler
Okay.
Brent
The dude. I think they were 82nd dudes. Were. They were the guys that painted that.
Tyler
Okay.
Brent
Kennedy copied.
Tyler
Yeah. And 101st dudes, actually. But I know. Yeah, I know. You're talking.
Brent
He did a whole segment on those guys and. And the dude that led them. Oh, it's awesome. So good.
Tyler
I don't. It's. Can't be the same guy, but there's another dude that I follow on Instagram who just gives fun facts about history, and it's. Cody Tucker is a guy's name. He's a fat dude. This is him and a mic, and he always wears a bandana, but he will give the best fun facts of history and 60 seconds or less. And I'm addicted to it.
Drew
All right, this is. Brian Isaac says it would be. No, this is a rail rider says Brent. What do you think of forward observations group?
Tyler
I'VE been asked about them before, and I've heard people talk about them and say that they're just guys that basically don't necessarily do things, that just basically steal what other guys do and just make videos. I don't know. I don't really have a company.
Brent
Oh, we have talked about them.
Tyler
I don't really know what their story is. I don't really know what they do.
Brent
They go overseas, don't they?
Tyler
I know. Yes. And that's where some of the controversy comes from, of what they said they've done overseas. And other people, like. No, that's. They're actually stealing someone else's story. But I. I don't know. I know they're. I think they have like a. Like a clothing, like part of their brand, which. Which is very popular.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
But I. Oh, there you go.
Brent
Thanks. You can open it all the way up.
Tyler
Yep. They're great. They're great marketers. I know that. But what they. What they really do, I don't know. It's a great question. If someone else knows more about them. Please, please. DM us.
Drew
James Quayle says, what do you think of Tim Kennedy angling for a job under Tulsi? Like Joe Kent, he's grifting hardcore, looking for a handout.
Brent
Everybody I talk to says TK is not entering politics or has no desire to enter politics. And. And he talks about everything. And he's never. Has he ever talked about entering politics?
Tyler
Not that I know of. But his actions are clearly saying something else. And he is asserting himself into politics in a way that he has never done before. And he got ran out of the tactical community because there was some vet hater podcast that was just trying to tear down other vets and ruined his name in the tactical community. And so he ran to politics as if. As if at some point no one's going to look into his background on the. On the political side. I'm telling you, what he's doing right now is very selfish, because right now, while he's not really involved in politics, he's just kind of on. On the outside trying to get in the circle. And people from that circle are going to welcome him and not really look into him because he's on the outside.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
At some point, if he keeps pushing this, he is going to get inside that circle. And the other side, as the other side, will make up lies about things you never did just to tear you down. What do you think the left is going to do to Tim Kennedy's credibility once he becomes someone that they want to look into.
Brent
Unless he runs on the left, they.
Tyler
Will tear him apart. And whoever Tim Kennedy associated with him is going to tear down their name and reputation, too. And it's a super, super selfish thing for him to do right now.
Brent
Let's watch it happen, guys.
Tyler
So, Hexaf, be careful. Cash Patel, be careful. Mike Waltz, Be careful.
Drew
Brandon Bailey says, I live in dfw, Texas, and it has rapidly turned into Cali. The west coast sucks living here now. It's not just Austin. That's right. Big cities.
Tyler
Hate to hear it. Gosh, I hate to hear it.
Drew
Robbie's fecal pants. Using that logic, are reserve police officers not first responders?
Brent
It just goes to how. What's time on the road?
Tyler
I know that's where it goes into that subjective argument. How much time do you have to be a year to be considered one?
Brent
You got to determine. You got to define what a reserve officer is, because every department's different, okay? At least sometimes you can go in and work 20, 30 hours a week. You're not full time. Some you only do one shift a month, right? And so I would say somebody doing 30 hours a week is a first responder. But if you're going in and doing one shift a month, you're probably not doing much.
Tyler
I don't. I don't know why it'd be any different, though, to say, yes, you're a first responder, but we're giving it to everybody as well. You're a reserve first responder.
Brent
There you go.
Tyler
I mean, it's.
Brent
You know, you want to be a first responder, you can be one. Everybody's a first responder.
Drew
Well, I identify as one, but I think there's.
Tyler
But if you think. Now, let's go to the military because you have the national guard who serves three days a month, Are they not. Are they not the military? Well, technically, yes, but that's why most of people. Oh, he's. He's a reservist. You know what I mean? Like that, like that. That adjective, you know, Definitely, definitely means a lot. So we're not saying you're not a first responder, but a more. A more accurate term to be. Hey, I'm a reserve first responder.
Drew
Like a runner up responder.
Tyler
No, no, no, no.
Drew
Not like.
Tyler
That's all I'm gonna say to that.
Brent
Yes.
Tyler
No.
Brent
Shut it down.
Drew
All right, here we go. Rusty Carbon. I was a medic. This is the guy I was talking about in the chats. I was a medic, then a cop. Now I'M a lineman. We are not helped. Now I have had more close calls with death in this job, but that's besides the point.
Brent
You had to say that last part.
Tyler
Right? I know. Yeah. All right.
Drew
Calling linemen of first responders like saying the 82nd is Ranger Battalion or that CA basically Special Forces.
Brent
Wow.
Anthony
Ouch.
Brent
First off, geez.
Tyler
No, I. You know, I don't know of any.
Brent
82Nd guys though that are calling themselves special operations. I've never met one. So.
Tyler
I just don't like that argument. I'm not there with you. I. I know what you're trying to. You know what you're trying to say there. I just. I don't think it's a good correlation.
Brent
No.
Tyler
But you know, thank you for the super chat. You're. That is. I. There may be people here that. That. That do agree with that. It's obviously a lot of opinion based.
Drew
Hard stuck says if I'm not LEO or military, is there a reason for me to buy an aim point T2 or other high end red dot? I know it's a waste, but I refuse to buy Hollow Sun.
Tyler
The. If you have the money, absolutely. But buy. Buy name point T2. It's a guarantee you know what you're getting. It'll. It'll be good if. If you have the money, go for it. If you. Especially if you refused to buy a Hollow sun, there's no reason why not to buy one if. If money's not an issue.
Drew
Habibi back in again. Elon finally figured out the government's purpose is to siphon taxpayer money for personal gain. I don't think that was the issue, but he did find that out.
Tyler
I can't wait. We have. We have the right people in the right positions. Now granted, yes, it's not your. It's not your standard lineup. Right. Like Pete Hegseth is not. Was never a general. You know, he. We have a. We have an. We have an odd background for someone that's a sec Def. But I think he's the right person for the job because hey, we know what former four star generals look like at the SEC def. And they weren't great. You know, Cash Patel, not necessarily your traditional person you'll put in the head of the FBI, but hey, guess what? We know what the other FBI directors look like and they weren't great.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
So I think we have. I'm willing to give these guys a chance and I am very interested. So for the first time, like what with USAID specifically, like USAID gives out grants and grants have very particular left and right limits about how much can go to a cause, how much can go to your overhead. It is. It is very much structured. And clearly what's been going on is people have been either lining their pockets or been given CEO positions with. With huge salaries that should not have come under grants or giving kickbacks back to the Democratic Party under this US Aid. Like I read these articles and it goes on and on and on. And I think for once, I mean, the. The political system moves slow, but I think they're finally going to be held accountable for this. It'll take months and months and months, but you're gonna. You're gonna. I think we're gonna see some mind boggling news over this. I think they've just started.
Brent
Yeah. Like you said, three months.
Tyler
Three months. Yeah. And this. And. And this is. We've. He's done a lot in three months. Imagine what the next three months is going to get us.
Brent
Yeah.
Drew
Let's see. Salvador says outro song for 20 bucks, he beat the other guy out by a penny. Overkill by Motorhead.
Tyler
I know. Here's the problem now, but now Brody Martin's put in another 19.99. So if you add it up, Copperhead Road has 39.98 towards it.
Drew
Yep. And he says we need more Vanessa.
Tyler
You would creep. So leave Vanessa out of this.
Drew
Keep sending you money, ken for a buck 99. But he got his money's worse. He says you're mine. Delta 11 year old Airsoft prodigy.
Tyler
I'm afraid that's the truth.
Brent
They'll train for you. If they know they're coming. If they know you're coming.
Tyler
I know. And it'll be their backyard. They'll know where to set, set up. They'll know where the dumb guy thinks is a good position. They will make mincemeat out of me is what I'm so afraid of, which.
Brent
Is Delta wouldn't do this mission.
Drew
So they'll give you some glitchy airsoft gun to use. I don't know why it's not working.
Tyler
Worked for me. I'll just. I'll just go run around the battlefield just to save face like you're hit. No, it wasn't. Yeah, you're hit. No, it wasn't.
Drew
Brandon Bailey Dyer's Eve or Whiplash from Metallica for the Outro song. He's at 30 bucks, but Brody Martin. Oh, 1999 twice for Copperhead Road.
Tyler
Hold on. We're there. Salvador Bolanos.
Drew
Oh, gosh. Put down the 50 we're there outro song Request Overkill by Motorhead Tyler and Brent will both do another trip to the Northeast this summer.
Brent
So Boston's Boston. Boston's being talked about for either the next live show or the one after that. And I would love to go to Boston, but I don't want to go in the wintertime.
Tyler
So there is a time I flew to Boston and it was negative six degrees and it was like, and it was like 30 mile an hour wind. It was awful. As soon as you stepped out, your ears hurt. It was so cold.
Drew
This is Dr. Ragini.
Brent
Oh, she's the doctor.
Drew
The doctor's back in the house. Stolen valor is a federal crime and occurs with great frequency. Why isn't this crime prosecuted with more seriousness, as it should be? And how can we change this? You got to email somebody and hello.
Tyler
Yes, that is a great question. And I will, you know, show our hand here a little bit. I'm not the only one. There's USASAK got flooded with green suitors activity. Military people asking USASAK to do something about this. And they basically got told, shut up and go to work. Which when I thought about it, which is, I mean if you think about, they can be right all day long. But that's how the military works. If, if someone from underneath you once, once, this sergeant major, this command sergeant, this commander to do something, you're underneath them, they're just gonna, they don't have to listen to you. They're. They're going to do what rocks the boat the least. And what rocks the boat. Boat the least is to say go back. Go back to work. There have been a handful of media outlets that are now requesting USASAK to answer them. What are they going to do about this? And ironically enough, you would think military guys complaining to USASAK would have the most sway. But the more I thought about it, like that's brilliant, the more the media is, is asking usasak, what are you gonna do about this? What are you gonna do about this? Now commanders have to do what they do best, which is look out for their career and try to control the narrative. And so we're going to say is.
Brent
The antihero podcast then we're media.
Tyler
That's right. We will send a media inquiry to you suck. Asking them, why did Tim Kennedy's book never get approved by the military? That's crazy. Why is Stolen Valor, the Stolen Valor act of 2013, a criminal offense? Yet the military doesn't seem to mind it.
Brent
Has anybody ever been Charged?
Tyler
I don't know. That's. That's a good question.
Brent
And I know we've talked about who would charge.
Tyler
I know that's the question who would charge? But in the day, I'm gonna look that up and then my last question to them would be if 510 FN Staccato Trijicon will be go down the list of all the people who have dropped him as a sponsor if they're. If Tim Kennedy doesn't have the integrity to be a sponsor for a private company. Basically what you're saying, yousasak, is that your standard for integrity is lower than private companies. That's crazy. If he doesn't have the integrity to represent them, then what is your answer? That he has the integrity to represent Green Berets.
Brent
Well, and we've been finding out from people that ones in our studio and other people have told us that Tim Kennedy is not very nice. When you question him in the dms, he lashes out in profanity.
Drew
So not profanity. All right, let's see. We got Michael Wheeler says outro song South Texas Death Ride. Lineman construction sign holders, first responders, question mark.
Brent
What's a lineman? Construction sign holder at the entry level position.
Drew
Construction sign holders.
Tyler
I think now I got. I don't think it's crazy to. To make. Connect these dots. Yeah. So the, the guys working on the power lines, I mean, there's someone out there holding a sign, right? Yeah.
Brent
Stop.
Tyler
Slow down. You know, people, whatever.
Brent
The people spinning signs at the cell phone store, they're first runners too.
Tyler
They're out there this well in the rain. But I don't believe what they're doing is. Is. Is dangerous because they're not working with electricity. So I would, I would dare say, yes, they're out there. But no, I don't believe the first responders. If you want a serious answer to probably your silly question, that's what we're.
Brent
Getting opinion based at this point.
Tyler
We are.
Drew
Joey Holt, senses fail. Let it enfold you for the outro.
Brent
Good song.
Drew
Good song. JP Saw you guys discuss the Kato article last week. I'm the author. And just to add, 17% of incidents suspect shot through a wall. 35% shot through a wall.
Brent
I told you this drywall thing's never gonna end, Brent.
Drew
Yeah, I don't even know what that means.
Tyler
And here would be. Here would be my question to you. And, and this, and this absolutely matters when talking about them shooting through a drywall, suspects are such bad shots. I would want to know and he may know this. Jp, please, please respond. If some of those bullets went through the door, but some of them went through the drywall because it's a, it's a, it's a large shot group, then I'm not considering those drywall shots. Does that make sense what I'm trying to say?
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
So. So if it's within 12 to 18 inches of the door and it's shot through the door, then I don't think he's trying to shoot through the drywall. I think he's just a bad shot and ends up throwing shots through the drywall like you. But, but he, he would know. He was the author of that.
Drew
I got a video here later that shows how bad guys shoot.
Brent
So actually go to Instagram. There's a video I want to watch too. It's quick. It's, it's the, it's the last one. I just sent it. Somebody sent it to us and said, you know, we'd be. We get a kick out of debating this.
Drew
This one right here.
Brent
Yeah, it's it.
Drew
That is not showing up correctly. I don't know why.
Tyler
Explosion was in the lobby and they. This the third explosion.
Brent
The whole lobby collapsed on us. Like hell.
Tyler
No one to know.
Drew
The whole building just collapsed on us inside the lobby.
Brent
Was that a secondary explosion?
Tyler
Yes, it was.
Drew
That was.
Tyler
Yeah, definitely secondary explosion. We was inside waiting to go upstairs and on the way upstairs the whole couple think blew.
Brent
We just see this collapse of everybody inside the lobby. It gets better. It gets better. Cuz I was like, that could be explained by physics. Absolutely. And engineering.
Tyler
Yeah.
Brent
There's darkness in the distance from the way that I've been living But I.
Drew
Know I can resist it.
Tyler
Resistance.
Drew
I'm begging for forgiveness But I know.
Tyler
I'm not resistan.
Drew
From the daylight running from the day.
Brent
So I thought those little, I thought those little explosions were interesting because like when you, when I said you. I'm. I don't know anything about physics or any engineering. And I was like, it's probably really easily explainable on why that happened. But then there was the. When they dumped, they demoed the buildings, they showed that that's what they look like.
Tyler
Sure. So here we go. I'll tell you what. They're. They are, they're. They're stretching and they're trying to draw a contrast of something that happened like on a large scale and something that happened on a small scale. Look. And saying, look, they're the same. They're absolutely not the same. So first of all, I'll tell you what, what caused those windows to blow out? Obviously, this structure is as it's collapsing, it's an enclosed structure with windows all around it. And as the building is falling on itself, that air is getting pushed down. And that air at some point has to go somewhere. So you're compressing all this air from the top and it's going to go somewhere, so it blows out windows. That's what happens. So I can easily explain that. And then the other problem you're going to have is when you look at the other, the other buildings of the controlled, of the controlled demolition, you see that happening all over the building.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
So just because you see it once in a place where air is getting compressed and blowing out the windows, you would have to see that same thing all over the building, which is at the, at very similar time. So did you see, like the large structure getting taken down?
Brent
You saw it happen 20 times.
Tyler
Yeah, there were 20 times just, just offset from each other. You didn't see that. So that happening, you know, randomly as the building is falling is not the same. Nowhere near the same as a controlled detonation. And oh, by the way, it's easy when you just look at such a narrow focus. Now let's zoom out. If you were to go into that building that they were taking down with explosives, you would see wires run everywhere through that building. Show me where the wires were run and who put in those wires. And everybody showed up to work and had no idea there were miles and miles and miles of debt cord running from office to office and nobody noticed it. And then again, tell me who planted those wires in that. That weren't there?
Brent
It was.
Tyler
Who planted them?
Brent
It was the Middle Eastern IT Guy.
Tyler
Yeah. Or did a plane, did a plane hit the World Trade Center?
Brent
And also when, when you're inside a building that's crumbling, there's going to, it's going to. It sounds like explosions, know, like, oh, I heard this explode.
Tyler
Like you.
Brent
You heard a lot of noises, right?
Tyler
Trust me, when that, when those, when it collapsed down to a point where the, where the air pressure was so condensed that it had to blow out windows to escape. I bet it sounded like a bomb going off.
Brent
Yeah. All right, hit the super chats. I just want to get that video out of the way.
Tyler
That's a good video. That's a good video and you better have answers for it.
Brent
Yeah.
Drew
Policy. Where am I supposed to be? Okay, y'all heard about the Muslim First City in Texas, and Greg Abbott shut it down. Muslim First City in Texas. I haven't heard of it.
Tyler
No. And I wonder how Greg Abbott shut it down with our freedom of religion that Muslims will absolutely take advantage of. Because it's what they do. No, I haven't heard about that. Keep going and I'll see if I'd say North Dallas.
Drew
It's.
Brent
It's.
Drew
It's pretty thick over there.
Tyler
So let's go over this for everyone. We'll all learn it together. How about this? The proposed Epic City, a Muslim focused community development project in unincorporated Collin County, Texas, near Josephine, is facing scrutiny and opposition, with Texas Governor Abbott directing investigations and state agencies looking into potential legal issues. Well, here's. You do have freedom of religion, but let me tell you what you also have, which is brilliant because our founding fathers were brilliant. Separation of church and state.
Brent
Yeah.
Tyler
So the Muslim religion at the end of the day is also their. Their law and Sharia law. Sharia law, that's right. You cannot separate religion and politics with. Within their faith. It's one. They're one and the same. So we cannot have a Muslim city because they will deem Sharia law and they will deem Muslim. The Islam, like the official religion with all of that has problems with.
Drew
With church and state democracy is anti Islam. It's anti Islam. And any Muslim who tells you different is either lying to you or they don't know their religion. You heard it right here, the antihero podcast. All right, that's just facts.
Tyler
I'll back them up.
Drew
Nerd question by hard stuck nerd question. But it. But is there a reason only unit guys seem to use the term vote? Never heard it from the units. Exampled or example. He voted. He got a vote.
Tyler
I think because we are a very professional unit and professionalism, it is very important to us. And I believe he's talking about, like, when killing people, like. Well, you know, he. He voted. It's just a more professional term. And we pride ourselves in professionalism.
Drew
Dude. Duder. Brent T. What are your thoughts? Or maybe that's Brenton Tyler. Maybe it's Brent Tucker. I don't know. Brent Tucker, what are your thoughts on the tango. Tango ambush?
Tyler
We're gonna do an episode about that.
Brent
Has Michelle been scheduled?
Tyler
She has. I gotta go look and see what the.
Brent
I know she got rescheduled, but.
Tyler
Rescheduled? I gotta go look and see what the day or.
Brent
Or that date didn't work and it's up in the air still.
Tyler
Okay. Yeah, it's coming. I know that. And I'm really waiting for her to get here. To talk about this. But, yeah, real quick, I give you the 32nd overview of it. Like anything else that goes wrong, There were several. It wasn't just one thing that went wrong. There were several mistakes made that led up to it. But even though there were mistakes made that led up to it, when you look at the helmet cam, what the guys did on the ground, they executed very, very well. And at the end of the day, they were just over. You can do everything right and get overwhelmed by a force and just. And not come out on top. And that's. And that's. That's unfortunately what happened there. Those Green Berets died like warriors going down with a fight and a. And a very, very outnumbered situation. None of them ran the. None of them had to go call any of the Green Berets names because his teammates were calling his name when he ran away. No one was found with full magazines. Everyone. Everyone fought the way they were supposed to. I know that sounded like maybe a Marcus Luttrell reference. That was. That was. That's just a coincidence.
Brent

Tyler
Okay. Flamingo tattoo. Tactical as always in the chats. Good to see you, brother. Going to order six tomorrow. Thank you. Thank you. Did. Did you sign out of the chat or something? Drew, it just. Drew and and Tyler. Copperhead Road. You got it. It's coming next. We'll. We'll extend this thing for an extra three minutes. Really? Because I'm an idiot and don't remember which Copperhead Road was.
Drew
Oh, Red Horse has a great idea right here.
Tyler
Oh, my gosh.
Brent
Hey, a retired. A retired Green Beret. Drew us redrew our logo. If you want to put his name.
Tyler
Oh, man, I like that.
Brent
Take a real, real version of it.
Tyler
You know what? I'm gonna take it up there. You, you, you. You guys vote. Let Drew give me a poll. We got a couple minutes. Just put old logo. New logo.
Brent
No, that's like replacing the misfit sp.
Tyler
I don't know if it'll.
Brent
I definitely want that as a painting.
Tyler
Not going to. Oh, you know what? We got time. I don't care. Mr. P.
Brent
It caught it.
Tyler
Yeah, I like it.
Brent
I wanted the paint.
Tyler
I do. I like it.
Brent
Patti Smith. No, but see how we get this as a painting.
Tyler
Oh, a painting would be badass out there in the. In the. In the waiting room, if you will. We got to think of a good net name for the lobby. We got to give it a good nickname.
Brent
Yeah.
Drew
Brent Plight's got a question for you right here.
Tyler
Yeah. What's the weirdest field expedition antenna you've made? I've used monster cans before to make antennas and parts of buildings. I've used the. I've used the Ale 137, used a long spike, an oak tree, using the. Essentially the SAP and the water content of the tree to make an antenna out of it. I've used. I've used barb wire fences, Copperhead Road. I've used barbar fences as. As antennas. When it. When it comes to guerrilla warfare, you. There's. There's some really unique things you can do with antennas in ways to use what's around you. All right, here we go. Cotton Eye Joe coming up. Gosh.
Drew
That was brody Martin and 50 bucks. We're at the end here, guys. If you're. If your super chat didn't get read, you just. Don't be offended. SFC Paul Smith, 11th Engineer Battalion, 3rd ID, Medal of Honor, Iraq, 4 4, 2003. Great show as always, fellas. Thank you, Brody. Thank you very much. Love it.
Tyler
I gotta look that up. I'm pretty sure I. It sounds so familiar. I can almost think of what he did. Can you look up Paul Smith and. And just show me a picture of him? If the guy I'M thinking about is it's a great story but it's a Medal of Honor winner so I'm sure it is a a great story. He's right. It's like changing the Misfits skull logo I think. Look up, look up his citation. If that's, that's the guy I was I was thinking of. I think he has a really cool story that that should be should be told. Brandon Bailey. Oh, just got refresh it see if we can still grab it.
Drew
I don't know where it is now.
Tyler
Ah, that's right. You're talking about smoking a Delta. But that's right right here. Okay. Smoked Delta Limited in D.C. last week on vacation after visiting Arlington National Cemetery. Hell yeah. That's, that's, that's the perfect stick for the perfect time. Thank you for going to visit the boys. Now I know Brent is a radio guy a tree as an antenna. Have you ever used a dip can? No, it's not big enough. I, I, I, I. For what I was using a dip can would, would not be big enough. Now get up and line dance you brag babies. Me and old Bo spent some time at the Cadillac ranch in Fayetteville. You're aware of the Cadillac? It's still there. Evidently going to drive by it. Or at least last time I drove by it it was still there. Ah, hey, I'm a. Because it's worth it. Just real quick, let me talk about the Sergeant First Class Paul Smith, Medal of Honor winner distinguishes himself by acts of gallantry and trepidy intrepidity and no dang it. Now I sound dumb above and beyond the call of duty in action with an armored enemy near Baghdad International airport. Baghdad, Iraq, April 4, 2003. On that day, Sergeant First Class Smith was engaged and the construction of a prisoner of war holding area when his task force was violently attacked by company size enemy force. Realizing the vulnerability of over 100 soldiers, Sergeant First Class Smith quickly organized a hasty defense consisting of two platoons of soldiers, one Bradley Fighting Vehicle and three armored personnel carries. As the fight developed, Sergeant First Class Smith braved hostile enemy fire to personally engage the enemy with hand grenades and anti tank weapons. And organized the evacuation of three wounded soldiers from an armored personnel carrier struck by a rocket propelled grenade and a 60 millimeter mortar round. Fearing the enemy would overrun their defense, Sergeant First Class Smith moved under withering enemy fire to man a 50 caliber machine gun mounted on a damaged armored personnel carrier. In total disregard for his own life, he maintained his exposed position in order to engage the attacking Enemy force. During this action, he was mortally wounded. His courageous actions helped defeat the enemy attack and resulted as many 50 enemy soldiers. While I'm the self withdrawal of numerous soldiers. The dude was a badass.
Brent
Awesome.
Tyler
And died a badass. By manning a 50 cal on a damaged vehicle and just laid down hate to waves of enemy killing 50 people by himself.
Brent
That's awesome.
Tyler
That's a badass. And you know what? What's. And I forgot the beginning of that story. It's not like they were on some patrol out looking for a fight. They were doing construction. Building. Yeah, Building basically a holding, you know, facility. When they got into the fight of their lives. That's so awesome. Yeah.
Drew
So, Brent, one of our chats, Seth. Seth is on every week. He's a huge fan and he says that his dad is watching and his dad was Delta Force. He says he loves the show.
Tyler
That's awesome. Yeah. Tell your dad thank you for his service. And as you probably already know, your dad's an amazing man. And that's right. Smith was also a sapper man. Look. Look at. Look at the history knowledge here in the chats. That's why. That's why I love Thursday night lives. Why I love hanging out with you guys. What's that? The. Let's see. I hope it has an exhibit in the National Honor Museum, but they have to ask the corrupt seals first. Ouch. Hey. I'll go. Good news. Tyler56 still want the old logo.
Brent
Good.
Tyler
Good. Because that's what Tyler was gonna do anyway. Good.
Brent
It's iconic now.
Tyler
At the end of the day, this was. This was and always will be Tyler's baby. And that was his original logo. And he will. He will get the last say on. On things. Heart. Love the cigars. Keep up the greatness. And Tyler too. Prior 11B.
Brent
There you go.
Tyler
A man after your own heart.
Drew
There's multiple.
Tyler
Seth.
Drew
My bad. We Love you, Seth. Q14.
Brent
Name. I mean, say my name.
Tyler
Name. Our defect at basic was named after Sergeant First Class Paul Smith. Then I was assigned to third id. Heck yeah. That man deserves more than just a defect named after him. I'm sure he does. How good were SF SIF companies? They were absolutely great. They were really good at what they did. They just didn't have a real job that they're. They're not Tier five one and they'll never be the first on the scene and they'll never get real world experience no matter how good they are. Oh, Miami Dade srt. Yes, Vanessa, I will check my text in a Second. And the song's done just in time. Thank you, Vanessa, for reminding me. The. I did. I misspoke when I said I was out there training Miami swat. The guys that I was actually training was the Miami Dade srt. Their top tactical team is called srt. That's where it gets a little bit confusing because, like, when I went and trained dfw, they have an SRT that was below their swat. Like, and there's not really a.
Brent
A lot of people use SRT for crowd control and riots.
Tyler
Yeah, but that was that. That was there. That's Miami Dades. I was out there with. With their srt. Last super chat and then we'll head out. Speaking of Medal of Honor, did the museum fix themselves yet? This John Chapman fiasco is an American tragedy. It is. Did. I would. What's. What's this Monday's episode.
Brent
The one coming up.
Tyler
Yeah.
Brent
Is Roberts Ridge and John Chapman.
Tyler
So we have. I'm glad you mentioned that. A little. Little teaser for Monday's episode. We have one of the. One of the ISR operators. Probably the wrong exact terminology, but that was in the Spectre gunship that was overhead during Roberts Ridge. He was also tasked to investigate Roberts Ridge as an Afghan. As a Afghan, as a Air Force, as an airman. So I was trying to say Afghan airman. As an American United States Air Force Air Force airman. So he knows a ton about Robert's Ridge, and we had him on the episode. And Tyler's going to release that Monday.
Brent
Monday.
Tyler
So, yeah, there's another deep dive into that when we. We discussed that as well. Guys, thank you so much. I could stay here to 11, but I don't think everyone here. I'm starving. Yeah. All right. Thank you guys so much. I will see you next. Next time.
Brent
Next time.
The Antihero Podcast - Squadcast (Live) 04/03/2025 Summary
Release Date: April 4, 2025
In this live episode of The Antihero Podcast, hosts Brent, Tyler, Drew, and Anthony engage in a robust discussion covering a range of critical topics from economic policies and law enforcement challenges to fitness regimes and contemporary media events. The conversation is interspersed with audience interactions through super chats, adding depth and diverse perspectives to the dialogue.
Timestamp: 02:33
Brent and Tyler delve into the recent volatility of the stock market, attributing a significant drop to the implementation of tariffs, particularly on the automotive industry. Tyler analogizes the stock market to an "emotional chick," reacting wildly to both positive and negative stimuli.
He further argues that tariffs are essential to protect American businesses from international competition, highlighting the imbalance created by countries like Japan and China that offer ultra-low wages.
Anthony supports this viewpoint by emphasizing the importance of tariffs in maintaining fair labor standards domestically.
Timestamp: 08:14
The hosts pause to pay tribute to Deputy Will May of Wal County, Florida, who was killed in the line of duty on April 2, 2025, while responding to a routine trespass call at a Dollar General.
Tyler provides details about the incident, noting that Deputy May returned fire on a suspect who had drawn a gun, resulting in his untimely death.
The discussion touches on the potential community backlash and the rarity of routine calls turning deadly, reinforcing the unpredictable nature of law enforcement work.
Timestamp: 72:06
A significant portion of the episode centers on defining what constitutes a first responder. The hosts debate whether professions such as linemen and construction sign holders should be classified alongside traditional first responders like police officers and firefighters.
Brent introduces the term "staged responders" to describe linemen who respond primarily during emergencies, such as post-hurricane scenarios. The hosts ultimately agree that full-time first responders carry a different level of responsibility and presence compared to those who respond occasionally.
Timestamp: 54:01
Anthony and Tyler engage in a critique of CrossFit, particularly focusing on the practice of kipping pull-ups. They argue that while CrossFit promotes strength through structured movements, it often compromises form for speed, leading to ineffective training and potential injuries.
Anthony: "The kipping pull up is a real pull up... the point of it is to work global extension and flexion of the spine." [55:13]
Tyler: "If you can't do at least five to ten regular pull ups, you have no business doing kipping pull ups, period." [55:13]
They discuss the importance of general physical preparedness versus sport-specific training, advocating for a balanced approach that prioritizes functional movements over trendy fitness fads.
Timestamp: 83:44
The conversation shifts to Elon Musk's role in various industries and the speculation surrounding his departure from positions like Dogecoin leadership. The hosts dissect the public's perception of Musk's influence, arguing that despite the intense scrutiny and criticism he faces, his actual power in governmental affairs is limited.
Brent and Tyler discuss the disconnect between Musk's public persona and his actual political influence, emphasizing that his ability to enact change is often overstated in media narratives.
Timestamp: 101:03
Addressing the issue of stolen valor, where individuals falsely claim military honors, the hosts lament the lack of serious prosecution against such acts. They express frustration over the military's response to complaints about stolen valor, suggesting systemic issues within military bureaucracy.
Brent underscores the importance of integrity within the first responder community, questioning how stolen valor could undermine trust and respect among genuine service members.
Throughout the episode, the hosts interact with their audience via super chats, addressing various questions and comments. Topics range from the effectiveness of specific firefighting equipment to personal anecdotes about law enforcement experiences. Notable interactions include:
These interactions enrich the discussion, providing real-time feedback and diverse viewpoints that deepen the conversation's relevance.
