With the holidays coming up, planning a scavenger hunt for the family or to entertain a group of kids, seems like a great way to spend the time. If you are creative, maybe get a group together and find elements for a collective piece or art. So many ways this could be devised and created. What about a cooking scavenger hunt with the final collection of items is used to create a meal, or dish or even a pizza. I’m just having fun in thinking of all the ways and ideas for a scavenger hunt. I haven’t been involved in one in such a long time I thought it might be fun to get everyone that listens to play along. While we can’t get together as a group or divide into teams, this one will be an individual event. So here goes, if you aren’t driving, jot down this list for your own scavenger hunt. Find someone that needs a hug. Find something that is your favorite color Find a newly fallen leaf and look closely at its color and detail Follow the smell of someones fireplace fire and pause and send them warm wishes (no need to knock on the door…just anonymously while outside) Find something you can make a gift for someone Find something to make a piece of art with Find someone and ask them about them. Find a tree and thank it for its strength and wisdom Find something to give to someone else that makes them smile. Find something that makes you happy. See my Art

There have been times, especially lately where I feel like a whirling dervish with all of the upheaval strife and chaos happening. Yes, there has always been societal issues, but it sure feels like a 10 fold increase. Is it the news media propagating it, or is the world itself a whirling dervish. Every day there seems to be another catastrophe. From violent weather to human toll of war. It is overwhelming the tragedy that seems to be increasing that people are living through. Then, I look around and see so much dysfunction on display that I feel there is something going on that is creating this lack of normalcy. I have a few thoughts of my own, but this is not at the forum that I want to get into that and debates on. I just want to bring an awareness and possibly some solutions that could help each of us individually. I believe if we make a small change, it will have a ripple effect to the greater mankind. Ripple effect has been defined as an abstract metaphor to describe how our actions (or Non- actions) reverberate throughout the physical and social world. We are all connected and these connections stretch like an incredibly interwoven and complicated tapestry. Each of us exists within our own tapestry. Thoughts and actions are like stones dropped in a pond and they create the ripples that travel and reach outward. View my new art pieces

Ancient recognize sound, vibration, and frequency as powerful forces that influence influence life all the way down to the cellular level. The gifted Greek philosopher Pythagoras prescribed music as medicine, asserting that the musical intervals he discovered are clear expressions of sacred geometry. He stated that music is the phenomena of numbers in time reflecting the structure of nature and has the power to restore balance in an organism. Theories suggest that stressed out or diseased cells change frequencies, and develop discordant vibrations from the rest of the body. Sound healing may help cells operate in harmony once again. Sound healing may consist of deep and resonant sounds or discordant buzzing that some may find more noisy than musical. So, sound healing is not always what modern ears consider “music,” but the vibrations and frequencies are related My Art

The other day, I woke in the middle of the night and these three words came to me. The Power of _____. So the the next morning I continued to give it some thought. Those three words in themselves give a powerful message. Power defined by Webster is “ to give power to, make powerful” I began to think of the suffix that resonated with me, and boy did I end up going down that rabbit hole. The first I thought of was the Power of Love. Yes, and also the song by Huey Lewis and the News jumped out as well. But lets dig deeper. My Art

That place where we can make a choice. between choosing to be happy and confident and the one where we doubt ourselves or others. As an artist this is a constant struggle. Is my art anything that people will like, or should I quit altogether. Is it any good. Those inner conversations that take us to either into the darkness or the light. For some reason that little voice of doubt and negativity has such a profound effect, that squelching it is a constant battle. Finding that loving voice, the one that acknowledges your gifts, that is kind and nurturing. See my Art Follow me on Instagram
