The Communist America hating revolution is incoming. It's already here. Last night the New York Congressional primaries turned third worldest America hating New York Mayor Zoran Mandani into an electoral kingmaker. A series of his endorsed candidates defeated very liberal Democrats and replaced them with outright communist terrorist endorsers, fans of criminality America haters. According to these victorious candidates, America is a settler, colonial, genocidal, racist, fundamentally evil country that is now the moral litmus test for the new Democratic Party. You must despise America. You must hate everything America stands for. These candidates make Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi look like right wing American patriots. Now you might think that because this is all happening in New York, it doesn't really affect you.

Wrong.

We'll get into exactly what these champagne economies believe. Why you shouldn't dismiss their ascendancy in Washington D.C. and what comes next for an America where one major party openly hates the country? Folks, the Democratic Party of your parents is gone. Heck, the democratic party of 10 years ago is gone. It is being eaten alive by people who openly hate America. Openly hate America. Again, these are not people who are hiding the bull you, these revolutionaries openly advocate for abolishing all prisons. Like yes, all prisons. Abolishing prisons. Abolishing ice, Abolishing our entire Department of Defense. They want limitless taxation. Transing the kids as a matter of course. Limitless immigration. No limits on immigration. Taxpayer funded abortion for all. They see America as fundamentally evil and our allies as genocidal and our enemies, people who wish to kill Americans as heroic. I wish I were exaggerating. I really wish I were. But last night in New York City, people who believe all of these things and say them openly swept very left wing Democrats out of office in the primaries. Okay, so I can hear you saying it. That's just New York. New York is going to New York. Let New York, New York. Why should we care? Well, here's the thing. This is all part of a very clever and concerted strategy by the far left, the Democratic Socialists of America, to take over the Democratic Party, to eat it and then to take over the country. And this is a multi step process. So step one and again, this is a revolutionary process that has been carried out before in countries that are not the United States. Step one, eat the quote unquote normie party. Eat the Mensheviks. So the Communist Party in pre Soviet Russia was comprised of the communists, right? The Bolsheviks and other communists called Mensheviks. The Bolsheviks were run by Vladimir Lenin. The goal is when you are running a revolution to take over very, very blue areas with insane radicals and then purge the people who are sort of the regular far leftists. So the Bolsheviks have to purge the Mensheviks. The founder of Soviet Communism, Vladimir Letin, an idol to Hassan Piker and Tsar Mamdani, he said, quote, the party must be purged of rascals, of bureaucratic, dishonest or wavering communists, of Mensheviks who have repainted their facade but who have remained Mensheviks at heart. Again, the idea here is that typical democrats are bad and typical democrats are the chief target. Understand, the radicals hate the traditional left folks more than they hate the right because they see them as obstacles to power. If they can purge those people, if they can get rid of the very, very left wing democrats in Congress and replace them with people who are even more left wing then they have a beachhead. So what you do is you start with a very, very blue area. You start with an area like Brooklyn. You start with areas that are located inside Manhattan, the commie corridor. You start with those places, you get rid of the people who are very, very far left and you replace them with actual America hating communists and now you have your beachhead. They can use this as a place from which to expand. Step two is you claim victory. You treat the takeover of these areas as indicative of sort of a broad national upsurge in radical left wing sentiment. So you claim that you've taken over the whole party and then you threaten the normal leftists in your coalition. Again, this is the sort of thing that Lenin would do. Lenin famously labeled his opponents Mensheviks. In Russian that meant the minority faction. And he claimed that his faction was the Bolsheviks, meaning the majority faction, even though his faction was actually less popular in Russia than the Mensheviks. Again, the idea is create a false sense of popularity. Same deal now. So again, what the DSA is doing is they are taking over extremely blue districts with low vote totals. And then they're claiming that they have the run of the place, that the momentum is with them. And you repeat it over and over and over. You let social media run with it. And young people who live online actually start to believe it. Because if you are online all day long, you just see clips over and over and over of Zoran Mamdani and people cheering Zoran Mamdani and people cheering Brad Lander and people who are cheering these various psychotic candidates like Darieliza Chevalier. And you see that over and over. This is the wave of the future. This is where we are going. If you live online, if your life is online, you start to believe it. That the radical left is the wave of the future. And the stuff is aimed at the kids understand that is what it is aimed at. It is aimed directly at 12 to 30 year olds. It's a TikTok indoctrination campaign. This is not a political game for this election cycle alone. This is how you turn a minority part of the Democratic party, sort of Bernie Sanders psychotic wing, into the controlling faction of the Democratic party. You start off by saying there is a silent majority that supports you. And then you get very loud online and even louder. You win a couple of primaries, you claim that you have the momentum. And momentum is the name of the game these folks are playing for a full scale revolution among people too young to know better and too impressionable to understand that reality exists offline. So step two is again you claim victory. Step three is you cow the moderates. This is where you threaten everybody who's a normal leftist that you'll come for them too. And. And then you let them cave to you. You make Them feel like they are insufficiently committed to the cause. Again, this has a long history. Dostoevsky predicted this in a book called the Demons or the Possessed. Revolutionary characters in that book are supposed to be precursors to the communists. They muse about the possibility of cutting off 100 million heads. And one of the radicals says that it wouldn't be hard to convince normal liberals to go along with them. He says, I could make them go through fire. One only has to turn it into them. They are not advanced enough. Again, the idea is that Zoran Montani is a thought leader, Bernie Sanders is a thought leader, Chevalier is a thought leader, Lander is a thought leader. And the real problem with them is that they're too committed. They just love. They love the truth and decency too much. They love justice too much. Yeah, sure, they're not practical enough, but their principles are right, their heart's in the right place. It's not hard for the radicals to get Hakeem Jeffries or Nancy Pelosi or all the rest to say that it's important to side with the dsa. All you have to do is say, what are you gonna do? Cave to the evil Trump Republicans? If you force the normal left to choose between Trump voters and the dsa, they will choose the dsa. And then step four, you rinse and repeat. So we're all sitting here going, okay, fine, let them try it. Let them try to run AOC on a national level. They'll lose because the vast majority of Americans don't believe this crap. But that's not the point. If you lose, you just repeat steps one through three Again. The chief target here is not the right yet. The chief target right now is the normie left. If you can attack the so called normie left here and you can destroy them, then you will take over one of the major parties. If you have a stranglehold on a major party, every major party in the United States, Democrat, Republican, doesn't matter. You have at least a 40% shot of winning national power. And then all you have to do is wait for your opponent to fall over face first. That's essentially what Donald Trump did in 2016. People did not like Barack Obama and they really didn't like Hillary Clinton. And you can stroll into power no matter how much people write you off. Take over any party and you are one step away from taking over the country. In other words, President AOC is not some sort of remote possibility. It is becoming quite possible. And that's what was happening last night in New York City. It's why it's important. It's why it affects you, it affects your kids, and it affects the country. If you're not concerned, if you are not actually terrified by what's going on in New York and the willingness of the media to play into this, the momentum is all with the dsa, the Democratic Party, we definitely have to go along with the Graham Platners and the Abdul El Sayed and the Zoram Mamdanis. They're the wave of the future. If you're not terrified by that, it's because you don't understand the game. Now Democrats are basically begging the DSA to not to wreck them. Too late, my dudes. You could have stopped them, but you didn't. Jamie Harrison is the former DNC chair. And last night he put out what I thought was, honestly, is it this kind of plaintive, kind of sad tweet? He said, I say this with no ill will or animosity. If you hate the Democratic Party, please don't run for a nomination. Don't use our resources. Don't rely on our volunteers. Don't use our infrastructure. Don't ask Democrats to invest their time, money and energy in your campaign focus on building the party you actually support. Political parties aren't perfect, but they're built by millions of people who knock doors, make calls, organize meetings, and fight for the values they believe in. If you don't believe in the party, don't ask its members to carry you across the finish line. Okay, A little late, my dude. A little late. That's not going to work. That's their entire tactic. The entire tactic is take over and eat the Democratic Party again. There's a sort of famous meme online that people vote for the leopards eating People's faces party. And now it's eating your face. I didn't mean my face. Ok, well, you guys humored this. You guys gave this the green light. You guys tolerated Bernie Sanders. You guys treated him as a normal part of the coalition, and now the revolutionary splinter cell is eating you guys alive and wearing your skin around as a face mask like Buffalo Bill. That is where you are right now. Alrighty. Coming up, we'll get to what actually happened in New York. It was a terrible night for America. First, if you're running a business, your attention is constantly being pulled in 100 different directions. There's a lot going on every single day. You got to figure out, where are your customers? How do you get your product to your customers? What services do you need to provide? There's a lot going on. But the reality is the thing you haven't looked at recently, those systems quietly running in the background until you have some sort of problem. That's why I want to tell you about Super Sure. Whether you're the owner, CFO or HR manager of a company with more than 25 employees, listen up. Super sure is a super agency built specifically for businesses that need more than a one time insurance transaction. They're licensed in every state for both business insurance and employee benefits. They provide year round support for you and your team at no additional cost. Their fine Print Facts tool translates your current policy into plain English so you can actually understand what's covered, what's not covered, and and where there may be gaps. They also offer a business value calculator so you can estimate what your business is worth. Because when you've spent years building something, it's worth taking the time to understand exactly how it's protected. Head on over to super sure.com Shapiro that's super sure.com Shapiro One super agency, one powerful platform. All your policies in just one place. Again, that's super sure.com Shapiro Paid for by Super Sure Insurance Agency LLC, a licensed insurance agency. So what actually happened last night? Well, Zor Momdani, who again is taking advantage of his platform as New York Mayor in order to consolidate the rule of the dsa. He put out an ad, literally during the finals of the NBA Finals, in which he promoted these three truly psychotic candidates. Dariel Lisa Chevalier in the New York 13th and Brad Lander in the New York 10th. And Claire Valdez in the New York 7th. Here was the ad that actually aired during the NBA Finals.

This is the team.

This is our year.
Ben Shapiro
Again. That was his team and this was their year. And all the rest of it. Okay? All of those candidates won. All those candidates won. And so Mamdani is of course claiming victory. Right? He says that last June was not an anomaly. It was the beginning. Right again. Step one is eat the face of the party. Step two is claim that you are the beginning of a movement. And now you have the power. You're the captain now.
Guest or Co-host
We are showing that last June, a year ago tomorrow, was not an anomaly.
Ben Shapiro
It was not the end.

It was the beginning.
Ben Shapiro
Okay, again, this is, this is the pitch. This is the game. Step one, eat the party. Step two, claim victory. Here he was at the New York 7 victory party last night, Zoran Mamdani. Again, a terrorist supporter who has never held a real job in his life and somehow vaulted his way to the New York mayoralty on the basis of some very slickly produced TikTok content and media love. My friends, I know many of you

Ben Shapiro
Tonight we use the language of fact. Okay, again, this is where they're going. So who are these candidates? Because you're sitting there and you're saying, you know, Ben, maybe you're exaggerating. You know, you've always been anti Nancy Pelosi and you've always been ripping on Barack Obama and ripping on Joe Biden and all the rest. And Kamala Harris. What makes these people different? Okay, this is a difference in degree that is akin to a difference in kind. Again, these people make Nancy Pelosi look like she is a right wing Republican. So in the New York 13th district last night, a person named Darieliza Chevalier defeated a representative named Adriano Espallat. Okay? Chevalier is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. The DSA wishes to disestablish the American government. That is not an exaggeration. This is a thing they say. Now again, this was not a member of the DSA defeating a Republican. So this wasn't some sort of binary choice between a Trump pick and a crazy left winger. And so New Yorkers went with the crazy left winger. Understand the whole thing here is the DSA and the far left eating the left. Espayat is one of the most left wing members of the Congressional Caucus. Espayat has the same voting record as Pramila Jayapal, the head of the Progressive Congressional Caucus. Now the rip again, this is, this is what they use as the litmus test is that he wasn't anti Israel enough. That is always just the excuse because again, every critique that people like chevalier views against Israel are also leveled in America. She despises America. She was a co founder of the Columbia University apartheid divest. You remember Columbia University apartheid divest. That was Mahmoud Khalil. It called for total eradication of Western civilization and seeking, quote, community and instruction from the global South. This person is now going to sit in Congress. She was the co founder of a group that called for violence against America. She despises everything about America. Its free markets, its supposed racism, its supposed settler colonialism, all the like. Everything she says about Israel she means about America and she will say so again. These people make Nancy Pelosi look like a pickup truck driving flag waving Trump three time voter. Her actual platform includes health care as human right, universal basic income, four day workweek, abolition of ice, housing for all, Medicare for all, free college, criminalizing corporations from quote price gouging consumers so price controls, breaking up Amazon and Facebook as monopolies, building unions everywhere and a federal moratorium on AI data centers. Those are, those are all the parts of her of her actual platform. From 2018 to 2022 she deleted some 3600 tweets according to CNN. In 2021 she shared a message declaring quote all pigs everywhere are haram. She is a Muslim convert by the way. She she wrote in April 2020 she reposted, quote, this is for the DNC, you big fraudulent white nasty status quo. Why you took Bernie off the MF and race with your trifling, dirty voter suppressing ass. You holding elections during a pandemic ass. I don't even know what that means, but that's what she reposted. She Posted in 09-2021 I have no nuance to add F. Kamala Harris she reposted in September 2021 quote, A world without borders, just like a world without prisons or police, is possible, necessary and the only moral way forward. Yes, a person is going to sit in Congress who believes in a world without borders or prisons or police repeatedly posted messages saying to abolish the border and all deportation is wrong. She wrote in 2019 Seize the means of production, which is just open communism. Here she was explaining that the way she came through democratic socialism isn't because she's economically Marxist, it's because it's because of racism or some such.
Darieliza Chevalier
I came to my politics of socialism, of democratic socialism through a race lens, right? I was doing a lot of reading of the black radical tradition. I was doing a lot of organizing around ending mass incarceration, around immigration justice. I was part of BYP 100 Black Youth Project, 100 Families for Freedom, doing immigration justice organizing and a number of other organizations around racial justice and economic justice. And even my research, my doctoral research is around a lot of these issues. And for me, racial justice and economic justice have always been inextricable. And that is how I came to A politics of socialism, right?
Ben Shapiro
Ah. The way that you came to socialism is because, quote, unquote, America's racist. I mean, that's where she is. She also says, of course, that all deportations are wrong. All of them. This person is going to be sitting in Congress. Frankly, I think there are pretty good grounds for Congress preemptively barring her, given the fact that she hates the country so much. But here we go. Is that something you still believe, that phrase?
Darieliza Chevalier
Yes, I still believe that all deportations
Ben Shapiro
are wrong, even if we're talking about illegal entry to the country or someone who may have committed a crime.
Darieliza Chevalier
So when we're talking about things like illegal entry, we're actually talking about administrative laws, right? We're not talking about criminal law. And we really need to have an understanding of what it is that we are doing when we say that people who are non citizens, who have a different status based on where they were born, why they should endure an additional form of punishment when they have already gone through the criminal system.
Ben Shapiro
Okay. So she then continued in a New York editorial board interview, quote, you know, for prison abolitionists, I think a lot of folks misunderstand what that vision of the world actually is. It's one that actually centers this question of harm at the heart of what we're asking is, what? Why is there so much harm in our society? So get rid of the prisons. Also she says she was asked, what do you do to the murderer? And she says, well, I'm trying to answer the question. What we do is that we then put people behind bars in incredibly traumatizing conditions in a context where they cannot actually reflect on the harm that they cause or feel any remorse on that because they're just trying to survive inside. They're being re traumatized day after day. And then she says, you know, again, I'm talking about this question between the distance between the world we want to see and the world that we're at. So again, against prisons. No prisons. She also suggests that Palestine, again, the center of all third worldism, is this idea that the Palestinians are eternal victims. And you have to liken them to blacks and Latinos in the United States, who have, of course, are also eternal victims according to the racial left. Here she was comparing Palestinians to blacks and Latinos, which is weird because blacks and Latinos aren't blowing themselves up in coffee shops or, you know, running across borders and murdering 1200 people. So there's that. But she says they're the same.
Darieliza Chevalier
I saw so many connections between what was happening to Palestinians there in Palestine. And what was happening to so many communities across the U.S. particularly black and Latino communities, who have been priced out and pushed out of our homes. When we talk about displacement in the west bank or in Gaza, it is a very similar, visually similar situation where people who have been in a place for generations are being displaced because of corporate interests, because of folks who are coming in, claiming the land and buying it up and kicking the people who live there out. And I've seen a lot of similarities, not just in the way things are done, but also in the very institutions that are enacting that violence. The tear gas that was being dropped on Palestinians in Gaza in 2014 was the same tear gas that was being dropped on black protesters in Ferguson in 2014. And that memory that summer for me was incredibly formative because it showed me that connection is not only one that is like, but it is the very same system.
Ben Shapiro
Again, Remember when they say that they are just campaigning on Israel, they are campaigning on how much they hate America, they're just replacing the word America with Israel because it's more palatable politically. But they despise the country. This lady despises. I mean, when I say she despises the country, I mean she literally tweeted, December 23, 2019, quote, I forgot to get napkins. So I just wiped my hand on the American flag behind me. These are the people. These are the people who just got elected to Congress because they just won a Democratic primary. Meanwhile, move over to District 10 where Brad Lander, who again, just going to say something about people like Brad Lander. So Brad Lander will loudly proclaim that he is Jewish. He is Jewish only in the sense that he was born into a Jewish family. He has no relationship with Judaism. He has no relationship with the Torah. He has no relationship with Israel. He has no relationship with anything of importance to Jews. He calls himself a Jew so that he doesn't have to call himself a white guy. That's all. Brad Lander is the worst sort of human being for doing this sort of thing. And standing on the fact that you were born into a Jewish family in order to side with people who hate Jews is an amazing, amazing feat of moral depravity. But that's who Brad Lander is. So he was running against a guy named Dan Goldman for Congress. Now, Goldman is an incumbent right now. You may remember that Dan Goldman is a very, very far left congressperson. So far left that he managed Donald Trump's impeachment. He essentially has the same voting record as Jasmine Crockett According to Govtrack, he's in the top 15% of left wing Democrats. What was his sin? Of course his sin was he doesn't hate Israel enough. Again, this is the test. Because understand in the same way that anti Semites like to use the word Zionist when they just mean Jew, far leftists like to use the word Israel when they just mean America. Again, doesn't mean that America and Israel are the same. They're not. But every critique that they level against Israel is a critique they really want to say about America. That's really the thing. America is settler colonialist. America is releasing the same tear gas that the Israelis would release. America is an apartheid state. America is brutal and vicious and terrible. Or as Zoramdani put it, when the NYPD is putting its boot on a criminal, it's the IDF that's lacing that boot. Right? It's the exact same shtick. That is the shtick. Lander's platform is abolish ice, investigate and impeach Trump, pack the Supreme Court, tax the rich, support unions, tackle climate change. Are you coming up more on the other Communists who won last night? There are a lot of them and they have bizarre names. We'll get to all of it in a second. First, think about this for a second. No matter where you grew up in America, there are certain things almost everybody recognizes. Little League games on a Saturday afternoon. A family barbecue in the backyard. Road trips. The cooler in the backseat. A high school football game under the lights. Different states, different. Different backgrounds, different traditions. Some experiences are just part of American life. And for generations, America's beverage companies have been right there in all of those moments. The sodas, teas, sparkling water, sports drinks, other beverages that people have enjoyed for decades. They're not just products. They're part of countless family gatherings, celebrations, milestones, everyday moments. Look back at your old family pictures. You'll see them everywhere. Behind Those products are 275,000 hardworking men and women across all 50 states. People working in manufacturing, distribution, trucking, production, countless other roles that help keep local communities strong. For more than a century, America's beverage companies have continued investing in American workers and American hometowns. That's something worth appreciating. Learn more about how they're keeping America strong at wedeliver for America.org Again, that's we deliver for America.org America's beverage industries doing an amazing job for America. We deliver for america.org hey, so here is Brad Lander again, pretending to be Jewish. He is not there is not A synagogue in America worth its salt that would allow this guy to walk into it. Here was Lander reading a prayer from the Quran and a queen's mosque. Later on there would be a prayer at the Quran for the destruction of Israel. Kind of partnership I developed with Sauron I hope to come to have with Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar and others in Congress to show we can build a city and, and a country and a world that everyone can afford and where everyone is welcome and where everyone's humanity is respected. He's saying he is Allah. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to him any equivalent. He's literally just praying in Arabic, thank you very much. So much Jewishness happening there. And then here comes the next prayer through your hands, comes for the unbelievers and the killing of the infidels by your sword literally happened in the same exact surface. That's who Brad Lander is. Brad Lander, again, the chief attack is on the normal Democratic Party. Here he was going after the Democrat. Understanding, again, for the communists, the worst enemy is the normal left wingers. Those are the people who have to be defenestrated. They have to be tossed from the top of buildings. They must be purged. The purge is the important thing. They hate them more than they hate Republicans. Here's Brad Lander. Solidarity is not just a feeling of unity. It's a practice of building alliance across differences. And it's the practice we need against our biggest opponents. And I don't mean Wemby and the spurs. Solidarity is the energy we need to fight Trump's fascism, to abolish ice, to stand up to the billionaires who are rigging our economy so we can win a city everyone can afford and where everyone is welcome. We've had it with corporate Democrats who you don't know what time it is. This is not the time for strongly worded letters or high dollar fundraisers or elections bought by billionaires or crypto bros or AI oligarchs. It's time for a politics of solidarity. Okay, by the way, the person he ousted, just a reminder was Dan Goldman, who literally called the President a fascist in the White House. Again, he had to be ousted, according to the dsa, Dan Goldman, because he just was not anti Israel enough. By the way, not only was he not anti Israel enough, as we'll talk about in a moment, he was banned from a, from a coffee house because he was not radically anti Israel. And Zoran Mandani then proceeded to say nothing about it because again, the glue that sticks together the radical Democratic Party is hatred of Jews. It is a glue that sticks them together. It's a real thing. And here was, here was Zoran Mandani offering a non response to that particular situation which we talked about the other day. What happened with Dan Goldman at Poetica Cafe yesterday. What do you think about what transpired here? Do you think it's a kind of okay way for someone to express political disagreements or. I have many a political disagreement with
Guest or Co-host
Congressman Goldman when it comes to his
Ben Shapiro
votes and his views on Israel.
Guest or Co-host
I think that what we saw online goes beyond.
Ben Shapiro
Oh well, you know, thank you for that non response. Mayor Mamdani, it's amazing. His wife, by the way, Mamdani's wife, the first lady of New York, Ramadiwashi, she put out a post endorsing Valdez, Claire Valdez and also Darieliza Chevalier. You'll notice who she did not endorse. Brad Lander. Because it turns out no matter how hard you try Madud Brad Lander, it turns out they're still going to hate you because they still see it as born Jewish. That's all. What you couldn't fit based on character count at Brad Lander right there? Yeah, I don't think so. And meanwhile, the third candidate who won last night was Clara Valdez, a New York State assembly member and a member of the dsa. She was running against a Brooklyn borough president named Antonio Reynoso. Now again, Reynoso is far left. Reynoso is in Mountani ally. He's just not a member of the DSA openly. And when he lost he said, quote, the mayor is setting a very clear agenda about what he thinks the future of the city should look like. And it seems like the city agrees with him. We're not blind to that. So we'll be working alongside the mayor to make sure we push his agenda. Now again, this is in the so called Commie corridor, meaning it's a very, very left wing district. So here was Claire Valdez, her campaign free Palestine, abolish ice, Medicare, housing and unions for all. Just communist nonsense from a lady who looks like she is a refugee from the local commie group at your juco, which she is, by the way.
Claire Valdez
So are we ready to free Palestine? Are we ready to abolish ice? Are we ready to win? Medicare for all, Housing for all and unions for all.
Ben Shapiro
She taught at Columbia as her first job. Yet another reason why Colombia should be defunded. Valdez Also back in May 2026, she said that it's Imperative to enshrine the trans children. Ah, the vaunted trans children. And what do you think about the people that are eager to throw trans people or trans kids under the bus for some presumed electoral advantage?
Claire Valdez
I think the people who do that are absolute cowards and are betraying the entire working class when they do it. And we've seen democratic, you know, politicians think that they can, you know, trade trans people away for, you know, a bigger share of. I don't even know what electorate they're trying to win back when they do that. What the labor movement teaches us is that we are all in this together. We're only as strong as we are, and we stand together. And, you know, Sean Fain talks about this quite a bit. You know, like when you're on the line, when you're on the shop floor, you do not care what the person next to you looks like, what their gender is, which bathroom they use. They are your co worker and you are organizing together against the boss. And that's absolutely the mindset that we all have to have in this moment. Our solidarity is exactly where we derive our strength.
Ben Shapiro
Solidarity in favor of the trans kids. That is Claire Valdez. The exact same line she's retelling that you hear from Brad Lander or from Dariel Lasse Chevalier, whatever the hell her name is here. Here is Claire Valdez suggesting, of course, that it's all the same. It's all the Omni cause, right, that, that the big issue is that the same people squeezing our workers over here are bombing people over there. It's. It's just communist trash. It's just communist trash.
Claire Valdez
For decades, we have been sold a lie that wars abroad keep us safe at home. But who pays the price? It's not the people sending the bombs. It's not the billionaires profiting from the contracts. It's the parent in Iran heading hearing that a strike has hit their daughter's school. Or the fishermen in Gaza who survived a genocide. The child remains Mala, who has never once seen the sea. The immigrant New Yorker who's been disappeared into the detention system. The people making those decisions from a boardroom, from a donor dinner, from the Oval Office. They will never have to look those families in the eyes either. The people who squeeze workers here are the same people who are funding the bombs over there. The war machine and the billionaire class are not separate systems. They are the same.
Ben Shapiro
It's just communism. And everything is the Omni clause. It's all the same thing. Other races in New York, by the way, included A victory for a person named Aber Kawas, a Palestinian American who ran on a platform of democratic socialism and defunding Israel's genocide in Gaza, Direct, quote, won the Democratic primary for the New York State Senate race in Queensland. And here she was saying that Basically America deserved 9 11. Now she's gonna sit in the New York State assembly, which is really exciting stuff. The New York State Senate. She will be there.
Darieliza Chevalier
The system of capitalism and racism and white supremacy, et cetera, have all. And Islamophobia have all been used to colonize lands, to take resources from other people. And so this is like a long trajectory and we're just seeing the manifestations of that continuation. Right. With 911
Ben Shapiro
there she was about nine years ago. You think she's changed her opinions? I doubt it. I really, really, really. I see no evidence that that is the case. Ok, so again, step one, eat the faces of the people who gave you credibility in the first place. Eat their faces and take over their party. Step two, claim overwhelming victories. You already heard Mandani doing that. Step two is claiming overwhelming victory and majority status. Now, we should make clear off the top that actually last night's primaries did not have great turnout. Politico reported yesterday, quote, the mesmerizing turnout machine that propelled Mayor Zorn Mandani to victory is AWOL this election day. As of 3pm just over 330,000 New York City voters had cast ballots in today's primaries, including all early votes. That is a far cry from the more than 710,000 New Yorkers who had voted as of 3pm on June 24, 2025. That was when Mamdani won the Democratic mayoral primary. So again, the goal is to treat a bunch of primaries in relatively low turnout elections in deep blue New York as the beginning of a revolution. So the press man for the Leninist movement here is of course, Hasan Piker, who showed up back in New York to celebrate the victory of the of the Communists. Wearing Cartier glasses and his usual accoutrement of millionaire status. Nonsense. Hasan Piker, one of the most despicable people in American politics, treated with great favor and love by the New York Times. Here he was Talking about making 1,000 Zorans bloom
Hasan Piker
the decade of socialism. It's coming to a neighborhood near you. When I said we were going to let a thousand Zoroast bloom, this is what I meant. You got Claire Valdez and numerous other wonderful DSA candidates that are outperforming expectations tonight. And that's because the American people are tired of the same old business as usual politics. The corruption, the ineptitude, the feckless nature of the Democrats that don't want to fight back against the growth of fascism in this country. This is Americans fighting back. It's only the beginning.
Ben Shapiro
Hey, again, that's always the shtick. Step one, eat the face. Step two, wear it around as a mask and claim that you are the wave of the future. Hasan Piker, standing around shouting about how New York is now socialist territory.
Hasan Piker
We're making it illegal to be a crypto fashion Times Square going forward. Socialist territory. Now time scared Times Square. Cause my. It's over. It's commie town. Get out of here.
Claire Valdez
Peter, too.
Ben Shapiro
Look at these dorks. It's. It's over. It's over. We're taking over New York. Okay? I mean, let's assume that you do. How do you think it's going to go in New York? And we're going to find out in very, very short order. Legitimately. The only thing propping up Zoram Ondani's asinine regime is the fact that he's not actually getting to do most of the things that he wants to do. But that doesn't mean they're not winning elections. They are. Piker is now threatening Richie Torres, saying he's coming for him.
Hasan Piker
Richie Torres. Richie Torres, I know you won tonight. I didn't even look at your race. You probably won, you piece of shit. Remember, I was coming for you. But you got lucky this time. But I'll see you in two. I'll see you in two. Mothers, I know you. Stop talking sh. I know you. Stop talking about Israel. Richie Torres, what happened? I'll see you in two years, Mother. Just wait. Richie. I'm coming for you, Richie. Every day, every time, there's a decision that you can make where you are. Pro Israel. I hope you remember. You got two more years, Mother. Two more years. You better act right, Richie.
Ben Shapiro
Okay, now, again, this is step three. Step three is cow the moderates. Scare the crap out of them. Make them believe that they're going to lose unless they bow to the liberals, unless they bow to the socialists. Make them believe that the moderates, unless they decide to just kowtow to the commies, that their heads will be on a pike. And you can see it happening. First of all, let's be very clear. Zoran Mandani's world was built by Barack Obama. Barack Obama was step one. He was much better at hiding his politics. Now you don't have to hide your politics anymore, because of Barack Obama. Barack Obama walked his arm on. He could run. Now, the media still treat Barack Obama like he was a moderate. But make no mistake, Barack Obama was never a moderate. Chuck Todd yesterday was out there retailing the idea that Obama was a moderate who governed like George W. Bush. Obama radicalized the far right. It was the same thing, Right? Correct. The far right viewed Obama as some left winger and Obama was basically a degree more liberal than Bill Clinton. You know, temperamentally a moderate. Obama, yeah, probably liberal on policy, but temperamentally a moderate. What policy was he that liberal on, Chris? It's one of the biggest. It was because he was black.
Senator Tim Sheehy
Thank you.
Ben Shapiro
The only reason people think he was liberal is because he's black. Like it's this. He. He governed more closely to George W. Bush than, than. Than Donald Trump. Okay, well, there's only one problem with that, which is that Obama was never a moderate. Here was Obama, you'll recall, just a couple of weeks ago with Stephen Colbert praising Zoro Mandani. The normie left is perfectly willing to fellow travel with the commies again. That's step three. Just eat the moderate like full on cow the rest of it. Understand the majority of the Democratic Party does not believe like Zorma Donny or believe like Darieliza Chevalier or believe like Brad Lander, but it doesn't matter because if they can be cowed and if they can be told that really those people, they're just too passionate, they believe so strongly. You really believe what they believe too, then in the end they will win. Here was Barack Obama patting the Mamdanis on the head and saying that basically they have nothing. You know, basically he is Mamdani. I mean, he's saying it. I'm not saying it. He's saying it.
Guest or Co-host
You look at somebody like Mondame, who I think is an extraordinary talent, he wants people to be able to afford housing in New York. Well, you know, I would assume liberals in New York want the same thing. And so I don't worry as much about some of these issues within the Democratic Party. What I'm more interested in for Democrats is do you know how to just talk to regular people? Like we're not in a college seminar. Right. You know, can you talk plain English to folks about.
Ben Shapiro
I think that's one of the powers that Mamdani has.
Guest or Co-host
That's correct.
Ben Shapiro
Is that he also. Not only does he talk like a normal person, but he lives a normal life.
Guest or Co-host
But he also.
Ben Shapiro
He names what is obvious wrong.
Guest or Co-host
Yes.
Ben Shapiro
And he goes, we should change that thing.
Guest or Co-host
That doesn't make any sense and not have a bunch of gobbledygook around it.
Ben Shapiro
Again, the moderates agree with the DSA deep down because they're not moderate at all. And they're willing to be cowed into submission. They think they can control the fire. The fire will burn them to the ground. Remember, all the people who are masquerading as moderates right now in the Democratic Party are not moderate at all. James Talarico, the howdy duty candidate from Texas, Senate Democrat candidate. Right. He's supposed to be the moderate who's going to carry the mantle forward in Texas. This is a person who literally said that he hates Christianity. Here we go. Yeah, and that's, you know, I always think of myself as a Christian who, who hates Christianity.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio
Right.
Ben Shapiro
And like I always get, always get drawn back into it. By the way, he also says that Jesus was a socialist anarchist, which the Bible has a few words on that. It's very strange every time I think about it that the most popular figure in our country, particularly on the conservative right, is this socialist anarchist from ancient Palestine. Okay, Again, this is who the Democratic Party is. They're being eaten alive. And they'll love it. They'll love it. Bottom line is that in the end the Democratic Party will be eaten by these folks. This is what happens when movements don't set boundaries. This is what happens when movements refuse to kick out the people who are apostates inside their movement and try to take over those movements from the inside. This is what happens when you don't have ideological borders to your movement. This is what happens when you humor the nut jobs, when you treat them as the wave of the future, as the people who are just too passionate. This is what happens. So I understand today a lot of Republicans are actually kind of happy because, listen, better to have mask on, mask off than mask on. For the Democrats, it's better to see them for what they are. But I'm just going to point out it is quite bad if the entire Democratic Party, which again represents about half the country, if that Democratic Party is run by open communists who hate America, despise everything from free markets to a strong foreign policy, believe that America is systemically racist, systemically sexist, systemically discriminatory on the basis of economic status. It is quite bad if that is one of the major parties because all it takes is a misstep by the Republicans for the Democrats to end up in power. So here's the question. Are we that far away from an AOC candidacy in 2020? 8. Let's say that there's an economic downturn, let's say a bunch of corruption stories about the Trump administration break between now and 2028, which, by the way, is quite likely to happen. Let's say that all of that happens and President Trump's approval rating continues not to be good. And let's say that from here, Democrats win in November. They do well in November, and the entire media apparatus attributes that to the increasing radicalism of the Democratic Party. They cheer Graham Plat, say Graham Platner wins in Maine, that piece of human debris. Let's say that Abdul El Sayed, terror defender extraordinaire, wins in Michigan. You now have open terrorist sympathizers populating Congress in larger and larger numbers. Do you really believe that the Democratic immunity to full scale Third worldist communism is going to be strong enough to reject something like an AOC candidacy? If so, explain how. And are you that confident that Republicans are definitely, definitely, definitely going to win in the face of that? Because if you are, I'd like to present to you pretty much every recent election, given the fact that everything is unpredictable. So what should the right do about this? What should the right do? The right needs to draw stark lines within its own movement. Because, hey, I have a good rule. I have a good rule. If you find yourself agreeing with Brad Lander, if you find yourself agreeing with these various other nut jobs with Darieliza Chevalier and with Claire Valdez, if you find yourself agreeing with Zoran Mamdani, you should not be part of the conservative movement. You should not be a Republican. You should leave. Because if we don't draw lines, it'll be a problem for us, especially because it turns out there's an entire normie middle that doesn't like this and needs a home. It turns out there are a bunch of people who really are scared of this, as they should be and need a home. But those people can't come home to a party that has crossover with the left wing party that agrees with Zoram Dani on foreign policy and increasing government interventionism in the economy. So the response should be, don't compromise with the communists. Stop treating them as though they are a rational part of our political discourse. They are not. President Trump, for his part, yesterday ripped the communists were running in New York City.
Guest or Co-host
These people say, we will raise your taxes. This country has gotten very strange politically, especially with all the communists that are up for election. You know, you have communists. These aren't socialists. These are communists and they're all up. How about the Guy in Maine, he's got, he's got the Nazi stickers, he's got the whole deal. And they're trying to say that's a. So for eight years, 10 years, they said Trump is a Nazi. Now they can't say that anymore because they have a guy with a tattoo on his chest.
Ben Shapiro
Unbelievable. And again, he's not wrong. Do not compromise with these people. Do not have Zoram Dani to the White House to talk about what a nice guy he is. He is a communist who hates America. And so are all of the people he's advocating in favor of. Draw a stark contrast, bright colors, not shades of gray here. That also means that Republicans should not be signing on to big government proposals that raise taxes. For example. So Bernie Moreno, who I campaigned for in Ohio, I like Senator Moreno a lot, but this is a bad idea. He is signing on to some sort of plan for Social Security that Elizabeth Warren is signing on to. Elizabeth Warren, who again, is part of the Bernie Sanders left. The plan is basically just to raise taxes on people. So again, the idea would be to increase taxes beyond the payroll tax, beyond $184,000 cap. Get rid of the payroll tax cap. So what does that actually mean? Well, here's the way Social Security taxes work. You pay half, your employer pays half. So if you're making more than that now, we're going to raise taxes on you and your employer. And if you're self employed, then there will be no limit. 15% more tax on you for every dollar earned above 184. And this is supposed to save Social Security? Hey, that is, that is ridiculous. The actual restructuring of Social Security that needs to happen. This will not fix the problem. It will just continue to exacerbate the problem. Stop making nice with people who just want to redistribute American income. Stop making nice with people who want to punish success in the name of entitlement programs. Don't do it. It's a mistake. All right. Meanwhile, on foreign policy, it is becoming clearer day by day by day that all of America's enemies are cheering the MOU as written and are taking advantage of the weak negotiating position presented by the Vice President of the United States yesterday. Pakistan, remember, Pakistan is supposed to be the interlocutor. Remember in this conversation, the Qataris and the Pakistanis are supposed to be our special friends who are helping us achieve a deal. Well, yesterday, Pakistan literally paid homage to Iran and talked about their solidarity with Iran and the dead Ayatollah.
Guest or Co-host
On your gracious invitation, my dear Brother President, I shall be undertaking a visit to Tehran next week, inshallah, to pay our respects to the late Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Said Ali Khamenei, and to reaffirm and reassure Pakistan's solidarity with our brotherly people of Iran.
Ben Shapiro
Yeah, that's right. Our moderate negotiators are literally paying solid. That is an open statement by the guy who's doing the negotiating, the moderator, that he is in solidarity with Iran. That's not great. That's not great. By the way, the IRGC commander, Ahmed Vahidi, one of the supposed moderates, he is, according to C14 in Israel. He said, quote, we brought President Trump to his knees. We got what we wanted. As usual, the foolish west believes it is getting something in return from us, which, of course, will never happen. Our goal right now is to keep the Americans on a short leash. Any violation, no matter how small, will allow us to threaten the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and Trump and his people will agree to anything. Trump thinks we will spend the money he's giving us on buying American goods. That will never happen in our lifetime. Now, we need to make the Americans understand Israel is the bad actor in the Middle East. That is the goal. Do not give up anything, threaten, and if necessary, walk away from the talks. These are the supposed moderates again, it turns out. Trusting them, trusting the Qataris, giant mistake. There's a new book by Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan out that's making a bunch of waves inside the Trump administration. And part of the book concerns a bizarre and rather hideous situation. You'll recall that Israel at one point tried to take out the leadership of Hamas. This is before the end of the Gaza war. The leadership of Hamas was located in Doha, Qatar. And so they hit a hotel room. And apparently this ticked off Jared Kushner, one of the chief negotiators. He called the Israelis crazy. And then the Americans went to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, that's Qatar's prime minister, and said that he had two options. To isolate Israel or to use the moment for leverage. Al Thani took Kushner's laptop and began typing edits directly into the draft document. According to the book, that's not good. We should not have the Qataris, who are a cutout for Iran, you know, actually writing draft documents. I would take that less seriously, except that we have a literal picture from three days ago of Alfani literally sitting in a room and directing the Vice President of the United States to type things into a computer with Jared Kushner standing in the background. So, no, I don't think that this is wise. So I think reality always wins. The reality is the Iranians have no intention of cutting some sort of wonderful deal with us. That is not a thing. The reality is that the Iranians are trying to put the screws to us pretty clearly. And the reality is that Israel is not going to surrender to terrorist groups like Hezbollah just because Iran wants it to. Well, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who's actually competent at his job, yesterday, he said correctly that regional hostilities will not end until Iran stops supporting terrorism. Again, I thought this was, like, baseline stuff, but the fact that we have to say it out loud again demonstrates how far we have strayed from the original causes of the war. Here is Secretary of State Rubio.
Hasan Piker
Are you trying to ease concerns to allies here in the region?
Secretary of State Marco Rubio
That most certainly will come up in these conversations. And there are items outside the MOU that are certainly going to be covered, but that's one that will have to be covered in, will be discussed. I think a careful reading of the MoU will see that when you talk about, for example, a complete end of hostilities in the entire region, well, that's not possible. You can't have the end of hostilities and conflicts in the region as long as Iranian proxies are launching missiles and drones from Iraq and are participating in terrorism like Hamas did and like Hezbollah did. So I do think it's covered by the mou, and it is an issue that will be gotten to at the appropriate time in these negotiations.
Ben Shapiro
Now, again, what Rubio is saying is that when it says the conflict in the region has to stop, it means that the terrorism has to stop. Now, that is not in the text of the MoU, certainly not as negotiated by the vice president. But Rubio is right that it would be a precondition to anything happening. He also says that Hormuz should remain toll free, which is something the Iranians are explicitly rejecting while hanging out with the people from Oman. Let me ask you about Hormuz. If possible, can the US and allies, can they guarantee navigation, freedom of navigation in the state?
Secretary of State Marco Rubio
Well, that's the law. These are. It's an international waterway. No country is allowed to charge tolls or fees on an international waterway. That's existing international law. That's the way it is in international waterways all over the world, and that's the way we expect it'll be here. So I don't think we have anybody to convince around here in that regard. I think all the countries in this region would agree with us.
Ben Shapiro
Okay, again, the. The administration seems to be changing its tune in line with the fact that Iran keeps dunking on the administration over and over and over. President Trump was asked about Iran, saying there will be no IAEA inspections. And he says, no, no, no, they're wrong. The Iranians are saying there's no scheduled
Claire Valdez
visit for the IAE inspectors.
Ben Shapiro
Is that part of your reason?
Guest or Co-host
They're wrong. They're wrong. They're wrong. They know they're wrong. They told us inside. And we have it down 100% inspections. And if they were right, I'd cancel the meetings right now.
Ben Shapiro
Okay, well, we'll find out whether they are lying or whether they are not lying. The President also said recently during a speech the difference between him and Obama is that Obama thought he could bribe Iran into peace. The only thing Iran understands is the hammer. I agree with the President. I disagree with the current form of bribery that is being put into place with regard to the Strait of Hormuz. And it turns out that releasing sanctions on Iranian oil, dismantling decades of sanctions infrastructure in order to allow them to ship out oil using their ghost fleet and legitimizing that in dollars, that's bribing them. So the President is not generally in favor of this sort of bribery. I hope that this is reality dawning here.
Guest or Co-host
Obama gave them 1.7 billion in green cash. Remember, at a 747, they flew over piles of cash, $1.7 billion, gave them hundreds of billions of dollars and thought they could bribe them into peace. No, the only thing they understand is what these guys in the front row understand is the hammer. Because if you look at, if you look at what we did to their nuclear capacity with those beautiful B2 bombers, that was truly a hammer. In fact, we named it a hammer.
Ben Shapiro
Again, like the President is right about that. And so I agree with the President. Now, the President also said that Iran should be reasonable or we'll hit them. And we need to re establish the credible threat of force here because the Iranians obviously believe they have the upper hand.
Guest or Co-host
But Venezuela's been great and Iran's been great. I mean, you know, if Iran's reasonable, if they're smart, otherwise we'll have to finish the job, which will take about maybe less than a week. But they're going to be okay. I think they're going to do what they have to do because we want to have it done.
Ben Shapiro
So again, I hope that the President is now living back in the world of reality on these sorts of Matters. Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana correctly points out what Iran is all about and why we should not believe them.
Senator Tim Sheehy
But the reality is this is a murderous regime that doesn't want deal. They don't want $6 gasoline. They don't want the straits to be open. They want you and your family and all of them us to be killed. They want to wipe our civilization off the map. That's their national motto.
Ben Shapiro
Nothing's changed.
Senator Tim Sheehy
And I don't think we've been successful in communicating that to the American people, that this isn't a regime that wants to negotiate. They want to buy time. They want to buy as much time as they can because President Trump's the only president who's ever actually gone after them head to head, who's shown them that if you kill Americans, if you come after our country, we're going to hit you back. And from Soleimani to Midnight Hammer to the the most recent campaign, he's the first president ever to actually go after this regime. So what we're seeing now is what the rope a dope they usually perform, which is by time try to lead us along till hopefully President Trump and this team's out of office and they can re up their campaign.
Ben Shapiro
Senator Sheehy is totally right about all of that. Okay. Meanwhile, over in California. So California is now pushing another gigantic piece of gun control. According to the New York Post, a new ban on Glock handguns has taken effect in California. It starts July 1st. The law will remind Americans why California has become the ultimate legislative laboratory for aggressive gun control. So firearms dealers across the state of California will no longer be permitted to sell new Glock handguns or similar models that state lawmakers have aggressively reclassified as a form of machine gun. Now, again, that's not a machine gun. A machine gun is where you hold down the trigger and it's automatic, meaning that it just keeps firing until you let your finger off the trigger. That is what a machine gun is. A Glock handgun, which is just a semiautomatic, meaning every time you pull the trigger, one bullet comes out. That is not a machine gun. So they have to go around the law in order to get here. The justification behind this radical pivot is these pistols can supposedly be modified easily with illegal aftermarket conversion devices that fundamentally alter their rate of fire. Well, I mean, that's unbelievably stupid. Again, you are now blaming Glock and the gun dealers for people doing illegal things with the guns. That's what you're doing. You're saying that you can't sell a gun that is perfectly legal in its function because somebody might buy an aftermarket edition and make it illegal. That's like saying that you can't buy a car because it's possible that you might attach a bazooka to the front of your car. I mean, it's. Theoretically you could. It's certainly possible to attach a bazooka to the front of your car. But is that the fault of your local Ford dealer? How exactly does that work? If I go and I buy a bunch of knives, I buy a knife set and then I decide that I'm going to attach that to a front of a bicycle, which would be illegal. Are bicycles or knives banned or both? And the idea of gun control in California has been a gigantic failure all the way through. The state, again, is deciding to restrict future retail access to the Glock. It is the most popular handgun in America. Now, again, Vice president Kamala Harris, you'll recall in 2024, literally said she owned a Glock. Now, if you already own one, you're grandfathered in. I can't imagine that this withstands second amendment scrutiny under the Constitution. Remember, the Supreme Court has decided that you do have second amendment rights that apply to you at the individual level and that guns that are in common usage cannot be barred by the state. Locks are in common usage. Trying to reclassify it as machine gun. If you want to bar the part that makes it into a machine gun, theoretically you could do that, but that's not what they're doing. Again, the, the, the deep and abiding desire to disarm gun owners who are legally abiding by the restrictions of law. It's pretty incredible. The vast majority of people who own Glocks in the United States are not using them for gun violence. The vast majority of gun violence in the United States is being perpetrated by young males, many of whom are in gangs. If you want to crack down on criminality, it turns out that the best way to do that is not to bar people like Kamala Harris from owning a Glock. The best way to do it is to crack down on criminality and put criminals in jail for a long time. But the same people who want to open up the jails who say we should abolish prisons, those are the same exact people who go around saying that we need to ban guns for the law abiding, which is a little weird. You want to abolish the prisons and let the criminals out. And criminals definitionally do not care about the Law, but you want law abiding citizens not to be able to obtain a weapon to protect themselves. I don't know, seems a little bit backward, but again, California is totally backward. Gun regulations in California are insane. I know this because I used to live in la. Brief story. So when I was living in la, I went to go see if I could get a ccw, a concealed carry permit, because, you know, I get a lot of death threats. Like a lot of death threats. And this was true when I was living in California too. So I made an appointment with the lapd. You have to go in, you have to have an appointment with them. And they said, bring the death threats. So I brought a binder, yay thick, literally this thick, to show them all the death threats. And they looked through it and they said, no, these don't count. I said, why don't those count? I said, well, because none of those people have tried to kill you yet. I said, that's the whole point of having a gun. What the hell are you talking about? They said, well, has anyone tried to kill you? I said, yes, actually, the FBI recently arrested somebody who was plotting to kill me, it turns out was also plotting to kill Don Jr. And was arrested and that person went to jail. So, yeah, I might need a gun. They said, well, no, no, no, you don't understand. That person was arrested, so you don't need a gun. That person's in jail already. So I'm like, well, okay, so hold up a second. If a person is arrested for wanting to kill me, I shouldn't have a gun because they're already in jail. And if a person is not arrested for wanting to kill me, they're not enough of a threat for me to have a gun. Is there any sort of hole here? Like, like, is this just a full catch 22? The answer is it is a full catch 22. Always and forever. Again, the idea I hear from Democrats constantly is that if you're in favor of gun rights, then you don't have sympathy for people I don't know. I have sympathy for a lot of law abiding people who have to fend off the criminals that the left is trying to release. And when it comes to, you know, the possibility of a, of a government that is going to encroach on your fundamental rights, which originally was the reason for the second Amendment, the idea being that you might need to resist encroachments upon your rights. I don't know, does that feel like a very distant possibility now or does it feel more and more real hard to make the case at this point that America is a place where protection of rights is fundamentally safe. Imagine Zoram Hamdani as the governor of your state and his friends. California remains a governing nightmare. Which again is why, in the end, is Gavin Newsom as durable a candidate as people are saying that he is at the national level? I don't know. I think that he's got some problems. I'm looking at the Kalshee odds right now. Couches a sponsor on the Democratic presidential nominee. Gavin Newsom is stuck at about 24%. Jon Ossoff is making a run. He's at like 11%. That won't last. John Ossoff's Jewish. Not allowed. Alexander Ocasio Cortez still, in my opinion, being undervalued, she's at 10%. That number is going to continue to go up as the left wing takes over the Democratic Party and eats its face. All righty, folks, the show is continuing for our members right now. We'll get to John C. Reilly, the actor, talking about empathy. Ah, empathy. Remember, in order to watch, you have to be a member. If you are not a member, now's the time. Alrighty. So John C. Reilly, who's looking a little peaked, to be fair, he. He appeared on another ubiquitous podcast, and he explained that the right wing has no empathy. The right has no empathy at all. I'm so tired of hearing about how if you favor public policy that John C. Reilly doesn't like, it must be because you lack empathy. Maybe it's not about the empathy. Maybe it's that bad public policy remains bad public policy regardless of your feelings.
John C. Reilly
You know, if you stand up for human rights, why is that a right or a left thing? Why aren't people on the right wing concerned about human rights? They're human, too. This whole thing that, like, kind of has come into vogue of, like, empathy trap. You know, it's an empathy trap. You know, like, that's what Elon Musk says. Like, empathy is like, don't be. Empathy trap.
Ben Shapiro
Yes, yes, yes.
John C. Reilly
Stick to your. Your agenda and what's best for you. Holy. Don't start feeling bad for so and so. They're on their own thing. Look out for number one. Like, it's like, wait a minute. Empathy is not a trap. Empathy is a superpower.
Claire Valdez
That's right.
John C. Reilly
It's what makes human beings exceptional. Our ability to, like, look outside of Ourselves, we're not an alligator trying to just get the next fish. You know, we're human beings. We can relate to something that's not us, that, you know, like, that's a superpower.
Ben Shapiro
He's missing the point. When we talk about an empathy trap, that is not what we're talking about. We're not saying you shouldn't empathize with other people. You absolutely should try to. The empathy trap is the idea that you and the other person are the same, that you have the same priorities as that person. By necessity, that is false. It is a lie when you say that, you know, people should be in favor of human rights, we all should be in favor of human rights, meaning treating people well, not abusing their basic human rights to life and liberty, for example. Obviously. But the empathy trap is where you project your own values onto another person and then pretend that person thinks the same things as you. So an empathy trap would be you allow a murderer to come into your house because you have empathy for that person. You know, that person might want to kill you and your family, but you say, no, no, no, they're just like me. That person is just like me. Because, after all, I have to empathize. I have to project myself into that person. That's actually a form of narcissism. Not everyone is like you. Not everyone believes the same things as you. It is a peculiar idiocy that is, I think, native to Western civilization. I'm not aware of any other civilization that thinks that other civilizations are just like it, that everybody from another civilization. Like, if you're a member of radical Islamic civilization, you do not think of members of the west thinking like you think and having the same priorities. But the west is so arrogant in its belief that everyone must inherently think the same way that we end up collapsing to people who are perfectly willing to take advantage of us at every available opportunity. So we set up rules that the other side doesn't abide by, and the other side then takes advantage of those rules. And then we yell at ourselves for having to violate our own rules. So we will say, for example, no, no, we should definitely never hit civilians when we're aiming at terrorists, right? We need to target the terrorists. And terrorists say that they go, oh, so your priority is not to hit civilians. What I'm going to do is I'm going to hide among school children. And then we say, you know what we. But that terrorist probably believes like we do, that school children are valuable. No, they don't. That's literally why they're hiding among the school children. There is nothing you could say to me that would make me hide behind my own children. Nothing. Zero things. But that is not the value of a huge chunk of the world. And so what do they do? They fire rockets literally from behind schoolchildren. And then if you are forced to hit, you say oh my God, we're so terrible. How could we violated human rights and taking advantage of our own stupidity and projecting our values on people who do not share them? That's the empathy trap. Empathy itself is not a trap. It's good to empathize with members of your family. There's also a difference between sympathy and empathy. Empathy is where you start to identify so much with one person or one group that you fail to recognize that public policy applies to everyone. So you empathize with that poor guy there. And so you become a communist. Well, you violate the rights of 100 million people cuz you empathize deeply with that one poor guy there. It's not my point. There's a point by the psychiatrist Paul Bloom. So John C. Reilly doesn't know what he's talking about. Obviously that's what we should be worried about in terms of empathy. But and this is what happens when I understand actors have to be in a very feelings place all the time. This is what actors do. It's what you do for a living. They have to empathize with their characters. They play some of the most egregious characters on screen, but they have to find the humanity in them. So I get why they would think this way. It is a very, very bad and stupid way to do public policy. And the implication that somehow you don't care about humans if you wish to, by the way, minimize civilian casualties. Because it turns out the only way out is through when it comes to some of these questions. So play it out all the way. You say, we don't want to kill civilians, we want to target only terrorists. The terrorists say, ah, I see your priority. The only way I can be safe is for me to hide behind civilians and and I will use those civilians as human shields and shoot at you. So now you have two choices. You need to take incoming fire just incessantly and do nothing about it. Or you can say you violated the rules and now you will pay. And if there's collateral damage, the collateral damage is tragic. It's on you since you're the one who is putting the kids in front of you. And you have to show that it is stupid for them to hide behind kids, otherwise they'll keep hiding behind kids. Put aside the civilian casualty example. Think about being in uniform. So one of the rules of the Geneva Conventions is that they apply to people who are in uniform. Why? Well, we want to be able to distinguish soldiers from people who are civilians. If you wear a uniform, we know you're a soldier. If you're not wearing a uniform, we assume you're a civilian. So what do evil people do? They immediately take off the uniform and they hide as civilians because then they feel like they are immune to us doing anything. And so if the rule is that when we capture a terrorist wearing civilian garbage and we treat them the same as a soldier, we have created an incentive for them to continue cheating because they are safer hiding as a civilian than dressing as a soldier. What you actually should do with terrorists who dress up as civilians and don't get into uniform is, say, the Geneva Conventions do not apply to them. If they want the privileges of the Geneva Convention, they must abide by the rules. This is the problem. This is the empathy trap. People don't think like you, and yes, people take advantage of you. It doesn't mean that you ought to be uselessly cruel. No one's talking about that. It does mean that when you are attempting to set up a system of rules for the road, you must, in fact, look at the behavior and intentions of the other party. You can't just project your own ideas of how the world should be on that other party. All righty, folks, We've reached the end of today's show. We'll be back here tomorrow with much more. I'm Ben Shapiro. This is the Ben Shapiro Show.
Date: June 24, 2026
Host: Ben Shapiro
Ben Shapiro dives into the results of the New York Congressional primaries, contending that the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have not only overtaken the "normie" left in New York, but represent a broader, coordinated effort to transform the entire Democratic Party—and, by extension, America. Shapiro analyzes key candidates, the mechanisms of intra-party leftist revolution, implications for national politics, and delivers his warning to conservatives about drawing clear ideological boundaries.
