B
Hi, guys. Welcome back to the Bondage podcast.
A
Hello. Hello.
B
We're excited for today because today we're talking about acne. Yeah.
A
The clock is at 6:04, just so you know.
B
Oh, 6:04. It's time to score some more acne. Acne.
A
We're talking about something I've struggled with for a long, long time.
B
Something I recently started struggling with again, but better now. But I'm gonna tell you guys what I did. So I started getting just some really crazy forehead acne. And I've never had forehead acne. Like, it was always when I had acne. It's so funny. It's like, what the type of acne that made me become an esthetician. Walk in the park. Okay. Like, compared to, like, what I dealt with and what I had been dealing with, like, for the since November, basically. Like, I used to get, like, cystic stuff, but it was like one or two, like, huge painful cysts. I honestly, personally would rather have that than have like a thousand tiny pimples or like a bunch of texture or just like a bunch of close comedones.
A
You used to get, like, big ones, like on your cheeks.
B
Huge. Never my forehead, but always my cheeks or like sometimes in between my brows. But yeah. So it's just like when I fix one thing, the thing is about acne, guys. It is truly the perfect storm. It's usually not just one thing that's triggering your acne. Like, it's a multitude of things. And then when everything is going haywire at the same time, it just breeds acne. So acne prone skin, at its core is someone that struggles with retention, hyperkeratosis. So it's a genetic thing. It's something that you know you have already. It's not like you did anything wrong, but you can do things that can trigger it and flare it up and make it worse. So once you have acne, you always want to stay on the products that got you clear and the lifestyle changes to help maintain it. And you can be a little bit more lenient with certain things. But I mean, really, if you want to maintain clear skin, granted that it's not like pcos, endometriosis or an autoimmune disease where you just, like, cannot control it. Yeah, you gotta stay doing the stuff that works. So a lot of people that have implanted like, IUDs or Nexplanon, the one that goes in your arm, or just straight progestin birth control, they will struggle a ton with acne because IUDs are straight progestin. They don't have any estrogen. So you're getting a lot of mal sex hormones which is going to cause more oil production and just cause more flare ups in the skin. So that's one. That's what my OG source was. And then.
A
So what did you have?
B
I had an explanation in my arm which my ob GYN f ck that hoe told me that it would not cause acne. And it did. And it took me so long to figure out what it was. And finally as soon as I got it out, my skin cleared up. But also I was on the pill for a really long time too. And I think that helped keep me clear because like I really would just get like again some, I think some stress stuff, honestly. And then two, a lot of my job is hard because I'm like the test dummy for everything. So any new product we bring on, any new treatment, even the ones that you guys don't know that we. Because I don't post stuff that doesn't work. But like, I've tried so much, like every week, I swear I'm trying a new skincare product. So it sucks because like my job obviously, like, you know, it's like being a fat personal trainer or like a broke financial advisor. Like an esthetician having acne, like isn't the best, but a lot of the times, you know, you can't really control what's going on, you know. And there's a lot of estheticians that I love and look up to that struggle with acne and like post, you know about it too. But it's hard cause it's like, you know, we're so good at clearing our clients and then it's like when we're the patient, you know, it's like all knowledge, I swear, like leaves my brain. But you know, I've gone in and out of like clearing my acne and not.
A
It's my favorite thing sometimes she's like, do you think this will help?
B
He's like, what the fuck, bitch? You should know this.
A
She does know it.
B
I do. I just like sometimes I always.
A
When you're the patient.
B
Yeah, like I want someone else to like take care of me. I don't want to take care of myself. And like, I'm so confident when it comes to other people's regimens and what they should be doing. But then when it's me, I'm like, yeah, what do I do? I freak out. But anyways, I don't like people that shame estheticians that Struggle with acne because again, a lot of our job is testing and trying new products and to a lot of it, you know, can't be controlled. If you have like an underlying medical condition, if you have to be on birth control for a certain reason, I mean, it's just, it's not your fault. So it really does upset me because I've seen this like, account that has been like, if your esthetician has acne, like, you shouldn't be seeing them. And it's like, why be a first of all. Yeah, like we can do the best we can do, but like, you know, sometimes it's hard to stay clear 100 of the time.
A
Yeah, like, I'm actuate I'm in the dilemma right now. I went and had my blood work done and my vitamin B level, she was like, like, this is concerning. Like, it's so low. And they were like, you need to get on a B supplement. And I was like, that's gonna break me out. And she was like, okay, let's do a vitamin B shot. Because, like, we've had a lot better. I got the vitamin B shot and I literally had like 16 pimples come up all along my jawline, all on my neck. I was like, I guess I'm gonna live. Vitamin B deficient.
B
No, no. And see, that's the issue is like your health comes before your skin at the end of the day, Tyler. Like, seriously, it does. Like, that's. By being deficient in vitamins is really not good, babe. Like, honestly, like, and when I make my posts, like things that can be an acne trigger, like, I always put the disclaimer, like, if it's a medical health thing, like, why? You know what I mean? Like, clients that are like, I don't want to take prenatals because it has biotin in it. I'm like, dude, your baby's health is so much more important than like, you get.
A
That's different though.
B
Yeah, but no, it isn't. You need to take care of yourself and you're gonna make me mad. I'm start fighting with you right now. Like, seriously, like, I understand that you're don't want to break out, but like, if you're deficient vitamin B really bad though, I don't care. You need to take vitamin B. I don't care. I don't care.
A
I feel like there has to be some form of supplement that like doesn't break you out.
B
There's not. So if you're deficient, you're deficient. I mean, you can try to. Try to eat more foods that have vitamin B12 in them and can help increase the levels. But like, again, your health is going to come before you.
A
I think the problem is, is like, I'm in a position.
B
So again, if there's an esthetician that is struggling with their skin and they're deficient in vitamin B and they have to take it, like, and then you're going to be a con about it. Like, fuck you. Yeah, respectfully, Actually disrespectfully. Fuck you. Anyways, so yeah, you really got to take that vitamin B, babe.
A
I fear they want me to do weekly vitamin B shots.
B
Yeah, you're deficient. That's not good. That's why you're tired.
A
But she said that we. I need to test again because I may be someone who doesn't absorb Vitam.
B
Okay.
A
Because I'm also deficient in like some other vitamins too.
B
Yeah, no big deal. You're just dying. Tyler, you've been sick so many times this year. Like, you gotta get your health and deficiencies on check. It's not good.
A
I feel like I haven't been like deathly ill that much. I think there's been like two times that I've been like, sick.
B
Okay, well, that's a lot for. For you.
A
Yeah, no, normally I like, growing up, I was never sick.
B
Well, it's so again, okay, so anyways, back to November. So November I start to get like these peculiar little bumps on my forehead and I'm like, weird.
A
Right around Dubai, right? Was it before?
B
Was Dubai October? I don't know. I don't know. Timeline for me is hard. I've been with building a house in a spa right now.
A
Like, dude, I don't know when was what?
B
I don't know when the fuck anything has happened. I know it was around Thanksgiving because I started using the NARS foundation. Okay. So it was right after my birthday because when I did my Slay with Savannah event.
A
September.
B
Huh?
A
I said, that's September.
B
Yeah. No, yeah, the slave Savannah event. I made a TikTok because I was like, oh my gosh, this is so fun, like doing my makeup with my team because Lauren and Maria were there and I never. Because, you know, you don't wear makeup. I never get to like be around other people doing their makeup. So I was learning like all these tips and tricks and Lauren's acne prone too. And she was like, oh, I love the nars. So Lauren, we have some beef. She was like, I love the nars. Light reflecting Foundation. I'm like, slay. I'm gonna get it. So then I start using it, and I start getting all of these, like, bumps on my forehead. So then I figure out, like, put two and two together. And I was like, what's changed? And I was like, oh, I stopped using oxygenetics, the acne safe one that I always use. And I started using this nars one. So cut that out. My shit cleared up, okay? Then, like, a couple months later, my hairdresser is like, you need to get this pure ology leave in conditioner. And I've never had acne trigger or I've never had my acne triggered from hair products. Like, I've used so many different hair products. Never have had an issue ever. I don't know if it's like, that I'm getting older or something. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know what it is.
A
Like, the whole world used to be your oyster.
B
When it came to, like, yeah, like, food really trigger me, the only things that really triggered me were, like, peanuts. Yeah, they're good peanuts. And then shellfish, but I don't eat that. And then energy drinks, biotin and B12. Like, that was like, if I could keep those out of my diet, which is pretty easy for me. Except there was a time where I was, like, addicted to these energy drinks from 151, which is like a coffee shop we have here. And I was like, I don't even give a. They're so good. Like, I'm like, I'm gonna drink them. And then finally one day, I was like, I'm so over this. Yeah, that was last year that I was like, every day I was getting one of those energy drinks, and my skin was not thriving. And I was like, it tastes good. I'm happy and I'm energetic, and I feel like I'm on crack. It's great. So anyway, then I start using this hair mist and like, dude, bad, okay? Horrible thousand bumps, texture everywhere, all around my hairline, all on my forehead. And so then I, like, start, like, spiraling, obviously, because I'm like, what the fuck is this? Because then at this time, too, I was testing new products to bring to sba. So I'm like, what is the source? There was just so many different things that had changed. I was also trying different makeup at that time because I was trying to figure out, like, what I could use other than the oxygenetics. Cause I like to, like, you know, have a couple hoes, like, roundup on my roster. I don't want to just be monogamous with one girl. So I want multiple foundations. And I like, I like to buy shit. Okay.
A
Like, different finishes.
B
Yeah, I just like to try stuff. I just like to buy things and try things.
A
You have to keep your skincare consistent besides trying things.
B
So, like, makeup's where I can play.
A
Yeah, exactly.
B
Yeah. Makeup's like where I get to play, but not anymore. So anyway, so then cut that out. And then it takes, you know, because it takes acne like 30 to 90 days to form. So I'm like waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting for this to clear. And then I get clear. Okay. And then I don't wash my face for 38 hours. Everything comes back and I'm in the Maldives and I'm like, depressed as fuck. And then I pick my skin, make it worse for myself because, like, that's just my mo. Self deterioration, basically. When one thing goes wrong, I'm like, let's just blow everything up around me because why not? Also in therapy for that. So then. Yeah, yeah, so that's that. But I'm going to tell you what I did to clear this up. Okay? So probiotics help so much. Forehead acne, a lot of times can be linked to gut health issues too. So I just kind of wanted to help rule that out. And like, honestly, I'm not very consistent with supplements. I've been really good about taking Biore wine, which we'll do a podcast on probably next week. And then also I'm really good about taking my Zoloft, obviously, because I don't want to like kms. So I take that as my antidepressant. And then, yeah, that's really it. So I've been trying to take probiotics consistently and I feel like that's helped a lot. And then also I realized I had been drinking more soda than I normally do, like a lot more often. Wait, that? And I went through like a whole HTO addiction, which is basically, this is what I do. I hyper focus on like a certain food group or a drink and I just like.
A
Have you always been that way?
B
Yes.
A
Or did that start with your pregnancy?
B
No, it's. It started with birth of adhd. Because during her pregnancy, I have always been like that. My mom's like that too. So, like, I got that from her. Like, we would eat like the same restaurant like every day for like a month and then never go back.
A
Yeah. Never to be seen again.
B
Like, we were like number one loyalty customer.
A
And then like, when's the last time.
B
You played Bahama Box since I was pregnant. Yeah. I was getting a snow cone a day.
A
It's also. Why like two snow cones a day. That was a big one at 11:00am, one at 13. Not that, like caloric. I feel like it's a snow cone.
B
I like that word, caloric. Anyway, yeah, so I was drinking a lot of tea and those teas have so much sugar in them. And so then now, apparently fucking sugar is like a trigger for me. So that's fun. And also a lot of sugar can trigger fungal acne. So I think it was a bit of fungal acne too, because of the way the formation of it was. I think again, perfect storm. Lots of things happening at the same time. I think in the beginning though, it was like the foundation, the hair care, and then it just kind of like manifested into like, horrificness.
A
Yeah. I think water is like a huge thing for you. Like, you have always. I feel like throughout the entire time I've known you drink so much water. So much water. I know like, like, like this girl you, like, drink water buffalo. Yeah. Gallons of water a day. Like, you know when your dog is.
B
Like, well, okay, here's the tea. I don't think the water at the spa is great. So I drink a lot of water when I'm at home because I like our water where we live. But the spa water lately, not like the yummy spa water because we use good water for that. But like our, like, fridge water is not tasty. Like, I don't like it. I fear don't like it. So that stresses me out. So I feel like at work I was like, I'll just like order a tea. And like, that's what I would drink at work. So anyways, that was part of it. Not taking care of my gut. And then what else? There was a couple other things.
A
Oh.
B
I wasn't icing consistently. I wasn't consistent with my LED. Like, and when I was on my trip for 12 days, like, it's hard, you know, when you're a mom and working and busy to like do all that at the house. But like the Maldives, I really had nothing to do other than swim and collect seashells. So I was like, very, very, very consistent with icing and using my led.
A
You were able to have you time.
B
Yeah.
A
If you're like, I can focus on pampering.
B
Yeah. Dehydration and constipation are like, huge for acne. So if you're not pooping properly every day, like good poops, like solid logs. Not like little pebbles. Not like Diarrhea, you have to have good, healthy poop. Okay. And then drinking a ton of water, like, you should be drinking a lot of water and taking probiotics will help a ton. So that was that. And then product wise, lipid serum, dude, helped so much healing my forehead. Acne, so good.
A
Like, I love that shit.
B
And a lot of you guys are using this wrong. You only need the tiniest drop if you use like the full dropper one. Like, you're using way too much and it's going to pill. Like, your makeup is going to literally pill up. Your skincare is going to pill on your face. You're going to hate it.
A
I have the back bar size at home and the first time they gave it to me, you were like, I did a full pump. And I was like, you could do your whole body and your friend too with like a full pump.
B
She absorbs, okay? So she's good. You just need literally like the little tiniest pea size amount. Okay? Like, if you think, oh, my God, 250. If you use a pea size amount twice a day, it should last you six to seven months. If you use a pea size once a day, like nine to 10 months, easy.
A
No, I think I've had my back.
B
Bar after I've had mine for like 10 months.
A
Yeah, I think it's like, so helpful too.
B
Yeah, well, I've had my, like, I don't have the back bar. How'd she get a back bar before me? The fuck?
A
Our reps love me.
B
It's fine anyway, Doug. Oh, wait, no, wrong rep. Catherine. Catherine. Yeah, and then pork longers is a big one. Like, you know when you're dealing with acne, like, if once your skin's clear, do I think, like, something that's very low comedogenesity is going to break you out? Probably not. But when you're already like, have a flare up, like, it's just like perpetuating it. It's like poking the bear. Like, you know, it's like when you're already mad and then someone like steps on your toe and like, normally you'd be like, oh, no. Like, it's fine. Like, you're already upset. You're like, I'm gonna like, gut punch you.
A
Also, your new obsession is the CBD mask.
B
Yes, I was getting there, but okay, sorry, cbd, hydrotherapy mask. She's a warrior.
A
No, you're, like, in love with it.
B
I'm in love with it. Sorry, guys, I have a nose itch. I'm not picking my nose. So someone like, Posts. This has been about a picture nose on our podcast. You're fake and it wasn't true. It was a lie. Fake news. So I can feel it. Maybe I am picking it now. Anyway, hydrotherapy mask. So it's micro silver, so kills bacteria and then cbd, which reduces inflammation. So good for inflammatory acne and also good for non inflamed acne. Really, really amazing. Love that shit. It's small but mighty. And you only need like the smallest amount, so don't overuse her.
A
And you kind of like spot treat with it, right? No, you do the full face.
B
Yeah. Oh yeah. You could use it every day.
A
I should try it. I haven't tried it yet.
B
Well, yeah, ask your boss. It's phenomenal. I swear, guys, like, if you get anything, lipid serum, cbd, hydrotherapy mask, bus in. And then obviously the omnilux LED light. I like the contour. It helped me so much. I love red light. I love red light therapy, but it's not going to work if you're not doing it every day and being consistent. So you can also get that on our website and then on do. On do Helped me so much, especially since I was at the beach. I want a lot of exfoliation and I genuinely like my skin does not do good with a lot of exfoliation. Tyler needs like a fuck ton of exfoliation. I need like the smallest amount. Like if I over exfoliate, like I'll break out more. And so for me, like Alpharett at night onto in the morning is amazing. One of our influencer clients, Erica Nicole, like we found the magic piece for her. We had her on Mandelic in the morning and then we had her on Alpharett clearing serum at night. And like it just wasn't working for her. And that's usually like my go to for acne. So I was like, let's just switch her and see like if my protocol that I do for me like works for her. And it did. And so lately, like with clients that have more sensitive skin or those that can't really tolerate a lot of exfoliation. Ondo in the morning, Alfred at night.
A
No, it's crazy. I mean, everyone's skin is different. But like for me, I could throw on 10% acne med, no moisturizer, and my skin is perfectly fine. Savannah uses 2.5% acne med and she's like, she got a chemical peel the next day. Like her skin is like flaking off from it.
B
And I'm like, whoa, he's like, do you peel? Last night I was like, no, I just used acne med.
A
Yeah, she's peeling like full on.
B
My skin doesn't do well. Really? With benzoyl peroxide. Like I can like do it once in a while, but not every night.
A
And you can do like 30 minute time.
B
Yeah, I can do timed regimen with it.
A
Yeah. Crazy.
B
I know. So ondo lipid serum, CBD hydrotherapy. Icing my skin. You guys don't sleep on icing. Icing is the best. Ice cube works fine. You don't need a fancy schmancy cold globe. But I do like the cold globes because they also help like snatch my face because they help with lymphatic drainage and they just help de puff all.
A
Over and they stay cold for longer and they don't like.
B
And they don't face. Yeah. And they don't get wet everywhere.
A
Yeah. Because when you use an ice cube works amazing. Feels great. But like you're dripping.
B
Yeah.
A
Which is fine.
B
Yeah.
A
But like the ice globes, like you could do a full facial massage for 30 minutes and they're still like frozen.
B
Yeah, they're crazy. Like crazy how cold they get.
A
I love it. Pro tip. Use it with a lipid mask.
B
Yes. And that was going to say too lipid mask. That helped me heal so much because it's literally like lipid serum on crack.
A
Yeah.
B
So it's 1% TSC, which is tetramethyl hexadecinyl succinylcysteine, which is their patented complex that helps reduce inflammation and it goes super deep in the skin. It's amazing. And then also love restorative ha. I love using restorative ha. So this is a dual weight hyaluronic acid. And the reason it's so much better than other HA's is because it's made without heat. So actually the molecule chain is longer and it's less fragile and it can go deeper into the skin. So it's also less irritating. It's just amazing. Hydrinity is the best hyaluronic acid ever. And it has agastake Mexicana that lowers your skin's temperature. So good for redness and inflammation. So I love using that. And how I would use that, guys, would be lipid serum, then undo and then restorative HA on top. And then of course mattifying sulfur mask.
A
Like day one. Ride or die.
B
Ride or die.
A
Yeah.
B
Love that. You can use it as a mask, you can use it as a spot treatment. It's 10 sulfur, so it's Great for killing bacteria, reducing redness. Great for rosacea, too. That's amazing. So I feel like those are like the ones that like, really, really made a difference in 12 days for me.
A
Yeah.
B
And then, and then drinking a lot of water. Not any, like, soda, no alcohol. Also, that brings me to another point. Okay, so I did a hair scan a long time ago and.
A
Oh, I forgot about that.
B
Yeah. And remember what was on there? It said coffee and olives were like, bad for me. And then this, I became like a slight alcoholic because. Okay, here's the thing is, like, for you to like something, like, you have to do it a lot to like it. Like, it's like gaslighting yourself if it's something that like, like Pilates, like, you're not gonna like it the first time, but after like the fourth class, like, you're addicted to it. Like coffee. Like, imagine the first time you tried coffee. You weren't like, mmm, Mom, I can. I know now why you drink this every morning. That's disgusting. It's so bad.
A
I still won't drink beer because my dad had me drink it when I was 8.
B
I was like, yeah, but if you drank beer every day for like a month, you'd probably become an alcoholic and like, beer.
A
Yeah. Okay.
B
So that's kind of what I did because I had this New Year's resolutions. This is back in January. Okay. And I'm like, I don't drink often, but like, if I go to a dinner.
A
You were getting like the cotton candy.
B
Yeah, like, I'm getting the most like unicorns. Or they're like IDing me because they're like, okay, bitch, like, are you really 27 ordering a fucking cotton candy swirl martini? Like, no. So I just felt embarrassed because, like, most CEOs in this industry are men. And they're like, you know, drinking like an old fashioned wine. Like, you want to split a bottle of wine, blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm like, no, I'll just do a lemon drop sugar on the rim.
A
The Cosmo.
B
Cosmo. And like, there's no shame in that game. But like, I've always just really envied and admired and aspired to be a dirty martini drinker. Like, I think it's so sexy, so chic and classy.
A
Yeah.
B
And it's just like, damn. Like, she's a businesswoman. Like, you know, like a bitch that orders a dirty martini. She has her shit together. Okay.
A
For sure.
B
She has a Roth ira. For sure.
A
Okay. Yeah, yeah.
B
So I was like, this year I gotta do it. Like, I have to. And so I hated olives. Now I love olives, but I won't eat olives now because I also think. Now I'm thinking back to my hair scan, which is weird because olives are usually anti inflammatory. It's just so confusing. Like, is the hair skin lying or is it true? And again, there's so many factors.
A
Did you just have this epiphany right now or did.
B
No, I had this epiphany on shrooms.
A
Oh, okay.
B
But I forgot to tell you about it.
A
Yeah, this is my first time hearing about it.
B
I literally was like, you know that, like, meme where they.
A
Like the guy Raven Simone, like, when she likes. Yeah, the Portal.
B
No, that was me. Or like, you know the meme where the guy has like all those lines on the thing and he's like, yeah, that's me. That was me. And so then I was like, oh, my God, what do I. What have I been doing? Because when I started drinking the martinis, a bitch was drinking them all the time. Midday time is crazy. Okay. But like, for me, for someone who drinks twice a year, it was like.
A
If that was like twice a week, if not once.
B
That's a lot. Okay. But yeah, yeah, going for.
A
From the average person.
B
Yeah, no, I was not drinking at all. But like twice a week is a lot of. And alcohol in general is really inflammatory and just like bad for you. And anyway, that's a whole.
A
I just don't want them thinking you, like, had a full blown alcoholic phase, because I'm telling y'all, it was not crazy at all. Like, it was like one or two per week.
B
Dramatic. But yeah, twice a week for me, basically was every day.
A
Yeah, sure.
B
So anyways, like in like some weeks, maybe three. Maybe three.
A
Crazy. Not three drinks in a week anyways.
B
But like from going from never drinking.
A
Yeah. From like once a month or like. Yeah, no, like half of one per month. Because you'll. Once a month you would order one and then take like two sips from it.
B
Yeah, like. Like, this sounds fun. And then I'd be like, I don't want to drink. So anyways, yeah, it became a thing. So that could have been.
A
That's interesting, right?
B
Maybe so weird that the hair skin said that. It also said burberries, Bearberries. Bearberries.
A
Never heard of that.
B
And mulberries.
A
Mulberry. I've heard of. I've never heard of a bearberry.
B
Well, you did today.
A
Was that a thing?
B
Yeah.
A
Or did you make that up?
B
No, it's real. Let me See if I can find my hair scan that I did.
A
I'm gonna Google bearberry right now.
B
I could go for it.
A
Bear berry.
B
Oh, I don't lie.
A
They're real.
B
Y'all no fucking shit. You think I just go around like, who eats these people?
A
Don't. I feel like we used to have bushes in our. I feel like our landscaping had this at my house.
B
Yeah, I used to make things with them.
A
Yeah.
B
Hair scan. Hair scan. Hair scan.
A
That's so interesting.
B
I think if I type in olives, it'll come up.
A
No, I don't.
B
I love the positivity.
A
Just being honest.
B
Um, entertain.
A
Um.
B
Well, what triggers your acne, Tyler?
A
Honestly, nothing triggers my acne besides me not doing my routine. Like, I should. Like, as long as I am consistent with my products.
B
And B12.
A
Oh, well, yeah, that. Yeah. But, like, I've never, like, take. I guess that's true. I didn't think about that. But, like, now that you say that. Yeah, that's like, the only thing that I've seen directly trigger my acne. But I've never taken. I'm not. I'm not like, a vitamin supplements guy or anything, so I've never taken it before, so. But yeah, that's the first thing I feel like has triggered my acne. Besides that, like, I'm the only. I, like, every time I'm sick, I don't wash my face for three days, and then I deal with the repercussions.
B
Of it, but I can't find it.
A
Yeah. I don't know. I. I used to think stuff triggered it, but, you know, maybe stuff does, but I just haven't been doing it for so long.
B
Like, I really use, like, a food journal or something. Or, like, what you use or do, and it'll help.
A
Well, I don't. I don't get. I mean, you know, my skin's been good lately.
B
Yeah.
A
Besides, when I don't wash my face when I'm sick, then I get some pimples.
B
Yeah. And you're sick because you're B12 deficient.
A
Yeah, but. Well. So either way, I'd have acne.
B
Yeah, basically.
A
No, my skin's been doing well. Honestly, adding in carboxy mousse was. And Alpharet Alpha overnight cream and carboxy mousse. Like, I. I would say, you know, six months ago, a year ago, whenever, before carboxymus especially, I would still get.
B
Like, your leg is making me so nervous.
A
Sorry. I would still get some breakouts here and there, but once I added in carboxymos Basically nothing. Maybe, like, no, like, basically nothing. But I still had, like, some redness and then. Alpharette.
B
You were good.
A
Yeah.
B
That's crazy. Another one. That's huge for a lot of people, which thank God it's not me because I don't eat egg often, but I do love deviled eggs. And I love an omelet on vacay, actually.
A
Yeah, see, that's the thing. It's like, I may actually get triggered because I don't eat, like, peanut butter anymore, ever. Or eggs.
B
Yeah. But I've been told that I need ones.
A
But I've been told I need to start eating, like, eggs and stuff like that to increase my protein.
B
Yeah.
A
So I guess we'll find out. I'll update y'all next time on if eggs is a huge egg. When I come in with, like, seven cysts on my cheek. Well, no, it was the eggs.
B
Yeah, Egg breakouts usually. It's like, jawline and right in this area. Jawline and neck is dairy and egg.
A
That's where I broke out from the bee.
B
Yeah. It's crazy. It's because the albumin is a lot. And hard for your liver.
A
Can y'all see it? Can you still see it?
B
Yeah. And body to process. And then a lot of biotin. A lot of biotin. Which makes you produce more skin cells, which acne already struggles with. Retention, hyperkeratosis. So retention means stuck. Hyper is a lot. Keratosis. Skin cell. So a lot of skin kill is getting stuck. Skin scales. I wish they were scales. Like mermaid. A lot of skin cells.
A
Cells.
B
Wow.
A
Skin cells are getting stuck.
B
Skin cells by the Seor.
A
Yeah.
B
Skin scales. Getting sucked inside skin. That's a hard one. Yeah. Crazy. And then on top of that, the progestin. Why did I say that? So weird. Progestin is the male sex hormone. And a lot of that can make a lot of oil production, which is crazy.
A
I'm an oily bitch.
B
Yep.
A
Super oily.
B
You would be better if you're more consistent with Maestro.
A
I am.
B
Twice a day.
A
Once a day.
B
Twice a day. Clogged.
A
I try to keep my morning regiment.
B
You should take omegas, too. They'll help regulate your sebum.
A
Yeah, I do.
B
You take omegas. You take supplements. You take omegas. Say it. Look in the camera and tell them you take them away. Guys, I try to thank you. Better. I'm trying to think.
A
I'm really not as oily as I used to be.
B
Yeah. Used to be really oily.
A
Yeah. My skin is like my Skin is doing pretty well. It's good, thanks to.
B
But it gives to have a best friend that's an esthetician. Yeah. But it is hard being in this industry and trying and testing new products all the time. Like, it's kind of annoying. Like, and Tyler's the worst. He won't try anything. Anything. I'm like, okay, sorry.
A
I'm out of everyone in the spa, I'm absolutely the most acne prone. Like, there's not a doubt. Maybe it's true.
B
Yeah, but fake bitch, I. I just.
A
I can't do it. It's because you gave me, like, the secret sauce to my skin and it's doing so well now that, like, the thought of going back and now that I'm trying to, you know, find love, I'm like, can't be. Can't be testing out things. Right.
B
Anyways, so that's why Savannah suffers alone. It's the life I chose getting a pay cut for not being a test on me. Anyway, what else was I trying to think about and say, oh, a lot of people are actually vitamin D deficient, too, that have acne prone skin.
A
I'm vitamin D deficient.
B
That's one of the vitamins. Wow, I am so shocked right now. That's crazy. You're vitamin D deficient?
A
Yeah, I haven't taken the supplement. Can that make you break out or. No? Should I be safe with that? Okay.
B
Yeah. It's in the faciality ones. If you take them.
A
Oh, well, no, they gave me, like, this, like, mega dose that you take once a week, and it's like a hundred thousand, like, units.
B
It seems really deficient.
A
No, I'm like.
B
They're like, you're dying, actually. That's so funny. It's not funny, it's sad.
A
They were like, do you, like, have, like, a lack of energy? And like, I was like. And they were. I told you. They were like, are you, like, shaky or jittery? And I was like, actually, like, I try to film at my job and I'm literally. An earthquake. Yeah, I'm like, it's like a minor.
B
I didn't know SVA had an earthquake happen today. I've never heard of an earthquake in Texas.
A
I'm not like this, but it's like tiny little, like, it's like the smallest. You wouldn't see it when I'm holding my hands. But, like, when you have the camera, you can see it.
B
No, it's pretty wild.
A
And so I was like, yeah, I guess I'm like, vibrating constantly.
B
Yeah.
A
Take that, Yeah, I need to take it something.
B
But you are, like, really, like, gung ho. Trying carboxy Moose. It's just, like. It's funny, you know, it's funny actually. You know, it's actually really fucked up. Reps will be like, no, like, you should use this. You should try this. He's like, okay. And then I'm like, tyler, you should try this. He thinks I'm, like, going to sabotage him or something.
A
No, that's not it. The carboxy Moose. I tried because I love the CO2 mask.
B
Okay?
A
And so, like, if Hydrinity came out with, like, this new, like, acne or, like, something. You know what I mean? If it's something I already have a trust for, then I'm more open to trying it.
B
Okay?
A
But some new Joe Schmo, like, new bombshell enters the villa. That's when I have an issue.
B
You're, like, scared you're gonna get, like, fucking gonorrhea or crabs.
A
Yeah, exactly, like, constantly.
B
Can men get gonorrhea?
A
Yes, they can get everything. Boo.
B
No, but I just want real quick to just roast Tyler for a bit because I think it's.
A
I just did this at the end of the last podcast. Can I get a break?
B
No.
A
What am I. What am I getting roasted for now?
B
Because the people need to know if you ever see something sound stupid. On my Instagram story, it was Tyler. Because lately I have been giving him some more leeway with my Instagram because a bitch busy and it's just been rough with a three year old in the morning. Like, it's just hard. So, like, I usually, I'll get to work, I'll do like half of it, and then I'm like, you know what I say? Post it for me. So if you caught the story a couple of weeks ago that said that you should mop before you sweep, that was not Savannah Boda. That was Tyler Jacoby. I literally saw it like two hours later and I was like, so, people, you think I'm dumb with my own analogy? Sweep before you mop because you want to sweep. I think anytime you post high, all you gotta do is be like, does this make sense because you're smart? Okay, well, you're gonna start cleaning when you move to Dallas. You won't have my maids anyways. Or Lance. Lance is the maid. My maid comes once a week and she honestly is about to get the boot because she's not been cleaning.
A
Hopefully you don't listen to this boo.
B
Well, she knows. She locked my cat in the closet. My cat pissed while we were on vacation.
A
We don't know how many days she was in the closet.
B
Probably two. She's traumatized. Okay. Poor thing was like screaming for like. It was. It's actually really fucked.
A
No. Yeah.
B
Two, like they don't wipe the tiles. And so like I literally yesterday, Tyler, look how gross this is. I sent her a picture. I was like looking at the wall and I was like, it looks musty as hell. They come walking.
A
Where did you find her?
B
Some Facebook page. Wait, look at this. Oh, like that's disgusting. Like that's so gross.
A
Wait, can you zoom in on. That's a towel from her wiping the tile.
B
Yeah.
A
Because one thing about Savannah Bota is there are going to be candles burning in the house. In the spa, candles are always on. So gets a little sooty in there.
B
Yeah, a little sooty, a little slutty.
A
There was one time the like actual wall so she in her like in between the kitchen and the living room there's like this big cabinetry built in thing that she has like one of those huge five wick candles on. And literally like up the entire wall looked like a fire. A small fire started in there and she was like, have the maids wiped this? Never wiped this.
B
We've moved in.
A
Yeah, no, they hadn't.
B
Once you tell them they do it for like two cleans and then they forget again. Yeah, but it's fine. It's better than cleaning myself.
A
But yeah, I mean they clean right now. They clean the spa and her house.
B
It's been hard to find a good cleaning lady in dfw. I will say that. Like they're hard to find. Like I wish that the lady that cleaned my parents house growing up still around, she's not dead, doesn't do it. She's so good. But yeah, what was I getting at with that?
A
Tyler's an idiot.
B
Oh yeah, Tyler's an idiot. And then yesterday I was hoping she'd.
A
Be like, no, that's not what I was.
B
The mineral correcting palette and the beauty on the go. So one's eyeshadow, one's like just like a bunch of like light shades for concealer. I'm like, tyler, I have to go to therapy. Can you post this for me? Okay, tell me why he puts on the a shade that's not even brown. Coffee shimmer. Champagne shimmer.
A
No, the coffee one was brown. It was brown.
B
It's tan, it was brown.
A
It's not the color of coffee. I like some milk in my coffee.
B
But that's not what it was anyway, so I just looked like a dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb doofus idiot. Okay, that one I can understand. But this. How is this champagne shimmer, Tommy?
A
Champagne? That's the color of champagne.
B
That's not champagne shimmer. There's no shimmer.
A
Okay, but, like, honestly, the colors matched up. Like, blush, like it was a peachy color. Coffee, like it matched up.
B
Oh, okay.
A
Sunkissed Bronze. Like, yeah, it made sense. Neutral, apricot. Like, it totally checked out. You. You have to understand that I'm not that dumb that I don't think you're dumb. But, like, if it was that color and it said coffee shimmer, I'd be like, hold on a minute.
B
But, like, okay, you're right.
A
Like, the cut, the. The shades from the Beauty on the Go, if you put them on top of the mineral correcting palette, it kind of works. And here's the thing, is she asked me to post them. And so it was the hydrating mist, and then it was the mineral correcting palette, and so the palettes look exactly the same. And so I posted the hydrating mist first, and then I went to go post the palette, and then I was like, oh, which one is this? Because I don't. I don't use either of those. So right next. Next to me on the desk is the hydrating mist and a palette sitting together. And so I grabbed the palette, and it was the Beauty on the Go palette. So I was in my brain, I was like, okay. Like, she just took a picture of the hydrating mist, and so she took a picture of the Beauty on the Go palette. Like, that's. I wasn't just like, you know what? It's fine. Tyler's a big dummy. Idiot. He should be fired. Who wants my job?
B
Yeah. Who wants to move into my house? Make six figures?
A
Yeah.
B
Hang out with me. Get a Van Cleef bracelet. Get a Cartier bracelet.
A
Actually, you can have mine. I try my best.
B
No, you're great. But you are deficient. Maybe it's the deficiencies, babe.
A
It's not. It's that. It's that you have, like, suddenly. And I love you, and I know we're busy, so I've, you know, taken.
B
It a lot on you, like, social media.
A
Like a full social media time. Like a full time job with social media. And then I have.
B
Okay, not full time. You're just slow.
A
No, it's not that I'm slow. It's that no one listens. It's that everyone else is slow in our office. I Film my videos like that.
B
Okay.
A
Some of these girls need some help, and it takes a minute to get through it. No, none of them listen to this, so. And if you guys. They're not. I know they're not.
B
Watch this. Be the clip that gets used.
A
If y'all clip this. You're doing me dirty. Yeah. It's not me that's slow. I won't name who it is. There are multiple culprits, but depends on the day. Yeah, it really does depend on the day, but, yeah, takes for the SBA production. It takes some time to get through, and everyone wants a slice of Tyler. So my brain is split up in a million places, and that's where I'm gonna blame them. Up before the sweeping.
B
Yeah, that's fair.
A
Is on my division. But it's okay. We're. We're actively gonna find someone who can help us. Help us with social media.
B
Yeah.
A
But, you know, we've just, like, We've tried with some different people, and it's just hard to have a specific. You have to have the Savannah Boda vision. I would be the one who. I am the one.
B
He's the only one I trust who.
A
Is closest to, like, seeing something. I still get it wrong sometimes. Don't get me wrong.
B
Like, clearly.
A
And she said it makes her happy because if I could do it easily, then anyone be able.
B
No, but, like, no, no, it is true. I'm like, if you can't even do it, like, no one.
A
Yeah.
B
Who can?
A
And that's why, like, another market.
B
I'm SM special. Because sometimes I'm like, why wouldn't you put, like, a sweeping penguin here? Like, did that not cross your mind? And he was like, no, actually, it didn't.
A
Yeah.
B
And I'm like, that's good.
A
Yeah, exactly.
B
So if anyone mind, it would cross. It would be yours.
A
Yeah.
B
No, maybe other people.
A
Yeah.
B
I don't know. Dude, did you see?
A
I put. I've been using some of them.
B
Oh, didn't you make the promo thing?
A
Yeah, she sent. She texted me. Oh, yeah, she did.
B
She did such a good job. Oh, my God. I feel like a proud mom.
A
The tears.
B
Yeah. I love my team.
A
Anyway, I think that's it for this week.
B
