And now for a bit of breaking news. Between your breaking news with me, the Geico Gecko, here are some things you ought to know today. People who switch their car insurance to geico save about $900 a year. Experts are calling that nice to know. Also, plants can hear when bees buzz. My ficus just heard that. And finally, animal experts have confirmed that goats have regional accents. I'm getting a hint of Irish there.

Welcome to Tuesday's show, morning Studio. Morning couples having drinks, a couple margaritas. And this woman notices something inside the straw. There's a spider in the straw. Listen to this from ABC7LA.
Lunchbox
Oh.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Oh, my God.
Lunchbox
A couple was out for drinks in San Diego and, yeah, they got more than they ordered. Finding a creepy crawly spider in the straw. And the twist. The woman swapped drinks with her boyfriend moments before he went for that first sip and spotted the spider. Oh, boy.
Bobby Bones
It's so close to her just going and sucking the straw. You know how they say you get like a bunch of bugs in your throat when you sleep or grasshoppers fall in your mouth over a span of a lifetime? Yeah. Is this how some of it happens? Like you just suck a straw in a straw? The spider, they took a video of it. The spider's in the straw. If you didn't look in the straw and you just took a drink, you would have sucked the spider in your throat. That's crazy.
Lunchbox
Do you sue?
News Reporter
No.
Lunchbox
Because nothing happened.
Eddie
Well, there's a spider in your margarita,
Bobby Bones
but if it did, you also wouldn't have known. You would have just ate the spider. Next up, this is Amy's worst nightmare come true. Because Amy always thinks everybody is out for revenge.
Amy
Yeah. They would retaliate if you were to tell on them.
Bobby Bones
This is from komu. So this is didn't. Pizza guy. Pizza guy comes back. Here you go.
News Reporter
Around 7:20pm Wednesday, Fulton Police were called to a private residence after a report that a pizza delivery driver became upset during a delivery and struck someone with his vehicle. The person who was struck alleged that Walton Son became upset over not receiving a tip and hit him with his vehicle. Video footage police obtained from the residence showed Walton son initiating the confrontation by yelling profanities at a witness and victim. The video then showed Walton get into his car and reverse toward the roadway. And the suspect accelerated and struck the victim. The victim said he jumped onto the hood to avoid being further injured.
Bobby Bones
Ran him over because you didn't get a tip, just.
Amy
Just give the tip.
Bobby Bones
Give the tip. We were talking about on my Netflix show, this couple had won $10 million in a slot, and everybody was upset because they didn't tip. And we were like, tip?
Amy
Wait, are you supposed to tip on a. A winnings like that?
Bobby Bones
Like the.
Eddie
Exactly.
Bobby Bones
The Las Vegas Twitter accounts that were from the city and for, like, the Las Vegas gamblers. They were all like, we can't believe they didn't tip at least $30,000. And I'm like, what?
Amy
To who?
Bobby Bones
Eddie's point was. Yeah, to the person who comes up with the keys.
Eddie
Yeah, the guy that opens the machine.
Lunchbox
Who.
Amy
Yeah, that's weird.
Bobby Bones
I'm Mr. Tip. Like, I'll show you my tips, for sure. However, I. Who do you. If you want a slide, who. And they're like, well, the person that brings you drinks. I'm tipping them as it goes. If I'm getting drinks.
Amy
Right.
Bobby Bones
And if you want to tip, tip away. But that. I felt like that was crazy. Like a slot machine, because you're gambling your own money, and then you're expected to tip because most times you're going to lose regardless. It doesn't matter. This person, this pizza guy, they know where your house is.
Lunchbox
Yeah, that's the scary part, right?
Bobby Bones
Nowhere you live.
Amy
They know where you live.
Bobby Bones
They know where you live. Doctors are urging kids not to try the Benadryl challenge about every three years. This cycles back in.
Eddie
What is that?
Bobby Bones
CBS News. It's going viral again. This is the little engine that could. This challenge has been around for 20 years.
Amy
The Benadryl challenge.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Where you just take a bunch of Benadryl and you hallucinate.
Amy
Oh, gosh.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Oh.
Bobby Bones
Medical experts say overdosing on Benadryl can cause serious health problems. Rapid heart rate, kidney issues, irregular heartbeat, even death. One Texas hospital says it's treated more than 100 Benadryl overdose cases in the past six months. That's wild. The kids are doing it this much. They're taking a handful. You see it on TikTok. They eat the whole handful. And then just. They're like, oh, smash cut.
Amy
Wow.
Bobby Bones
I would bet some of them, the ones that are inspiring people to do it, they're not even really doing it.
Amy
Oh, they're just, like, acting like.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, they're getting the click. Then Everybody's doing it because they're seeing the clicks.
Amy
Yeah. That's serious stuff.
Bobby Bones
Talk to your kids.
Amy
You gotta lock that Benadryl up. Now, even at home, you have a glass.
Bobby Bones
A key thing in the glass case. So if you're in a parking lot and somebody comes up to you with a clipboard and is like, would you like to donate to charity? This is one of those stories where someone did that and ended up, like, biting them right in the butt. So a woman gave 20 bucks to a charity worker in a Trader Joe's parking lot from WCVB only to discover the scammer pocketed $5,000 from her account instead.
Lunchbox
What?
Bobby Bones
She was grocery shopping when the scammer came up taking donations for gun violence victims. So she was like, great. And they were like, we'll take credit card.
Eddie
Yeah, that's where it gets fishy.
Bobby Bones
And so the person grabbed. Took the credit card from her hands, and there was a processing issue. And so when she went back to check, they had got her for five grand. Well, we're gonna end up doing no charity because we think everything's a scam.
Eddie
Right.
Bobby Bones
But generally, people with a clipboard in a parking lot, if it's not ca. If it's not cash, I would say, don't do it. You know, I can even say, don't do it if it's cash. But for me, if someone's like, hey, I need some help, and I have five bucks, and I give them five bucks, I've given them that five bucks, and I'm just gonna trust they're doing it. But I'm not screwed any further if they don't do what they said they were doing.
Amy
Yeah, there was that time that guy showed up at my door, though, with, like, a laminated, you know, outline of all these fruits and vegetables I could buy for less fortunate. And he. This was his transition job from jail to real life, and I had an opportunity to serve the. The malnourished.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, yeah. And you chose to. Good for you.
Amy
But he's taking credit card.
Eddie
And you gave him the credit card.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I did. Yeah.
Amy
Sure did. Sure did. Because you said my neighbor Nancy down the road did it.
Eddie
Did you know Nancy?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
No, never heard of her.
Bobby Bones
If it's people you don't know, give them cash, and then whatever happens, happens. It's like loaning family money if you don't get it back. Well, don't be mad. You just loan family money.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So there's that story. I just want to end with that one.
Eddie
I had a guy Come up to me asking for football equipment for in school scammer.
Bobby Bones
He wanted football equipment or money for
Eddie
money for football equipment for his school. But he looked like he was in his 20s, so I don't know if that was real or not.
Bobby Bones
Well, the weird one is Vietnam vet. He's like 31 years old. On the side of the road. Got a sign, right?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah,
Lunchbox
it's the anonymous inbox. Anonymous in box. There's a question to be had. Send it into the mountain. Hello, Bobby Bones.
Bobby Bones
My husband wants to play in a golf tournament the day of my daughter's second birthday. Since her birthday's on a Saturday, I wanted to take a day trip and go to a huge zoo that's two hours away. He said there's no reason why we have to do that on her birthday and do it a different day. I told him it was selfish. He said it's not selfish because he plays in this tournament every year and they can celebrate their daughter's birthday on a different day. She's only two. Am I overreacting for being upset that he chose golf over his kid? Signed mom of an almost two year old. I'm just going to tell you right now, I'd be murdered. I'm just going to give you this perspective. For me, I would be murdered dead. It doesn't matter because I had this conversation because there was something. Next year on our one year she'll be one next year on her birthday. And I was like, oh, this is next year. My wife's like, are you sure you want to do that? And I was like, she don't remember. Okay. Nope. I don't like gave an eye for a second. I was like, she won't remember. But it's not just about the baby. It's about the family. So I don't think you're overreacting now. I think there could be a compromise. Although I. If I were him, I would say don't even ask for the compromise.
Amy
Well, I have question.
Bobby Bones
Let me, let me finish.
Caller Amber
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I think he could play the golf tournament and they could do something in the evening, birthday related. Make sure it's about the birthday. Do the zoo thing, even the next day. I don't. I wouldn't lean toward compromise. I would lean to him going to have his kid's birthday. That's what I would lean toward. But there is a small compromise there. But that's not my first suggestion. So what were you gonna say?
Amy
I had a question about what they. She said about was a birthday Sunday and maybe they Were gonna go to the zoo on Saturday.
Bobby Bones
Birthday Saturday.
Amy
Oh, okay.
Bobby Bones
I wanted to take a day trip and go to the zoo. It's about two hours away.
Amy
Okay. So it's actually on her birthday. Okay. See, I thought they were already fudging it by a day. So then I'm like, well, what's the difference if you do it? Judging the weekend before, the weekend after. Yeah, I get that. Y' all be murdered probably.
Eddie
I'd be murdered just thinking about it, asking about it. Yeah, yeah.
Bobby Bones
It's one of those asks where it's halfway through. You're like, you know what? I'm gonna retract.
Amy
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Half of this ask you do, you're not overreacting. No, I don't think so at all. So stand strong. There's a slight compromise if you want to make one, but I don't know, man. It better be like the. His dad memorial golf tournament.
Lunchbox
He's gonna play in it.
Bobby Bones
Other than that, I don't think that's happening. Somebody's about to super secret surprise. That is life changing. It started, everybody was in the mix. Now there's only two people. It's going to be lunchbox ready.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Eddie
This is amazing.
Lunchbox
Yeah, let's go.
Eddie
Our life lunchbox is going to be changed.
Lunchbox
Right now, my life is one of your lives.
Bobby Bones
It's a. You got it.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I know what it is.
Bobby Bones
You okay? Let's take a little shot here. What do you think it is?
Lunchbox
Well, I've been applying for jobs the last few years with sports teams, trying to be the voice of a sports team. And so Bobby said he could pull some strings to get this to happen. So I think Bobby pulled some strings and I get a one day trial run as being the voice of one of the local sports teams.
Bobby Bones
Yes. I don't think I said I could pull strings.
Lunchbox
You said some strings were pulled.
Bobby Bones
Oh, okay. Okay. I. I don't know that I could pull strings to get you a job somewhere.
Lunchbox
No, no, I think it was like a one day. Like, hey.
Amy
Or like maybe he's the. What do they call the understudy.
Bobby Bones
Oh, he goes and sits beside him
Amy
like in case someone's sick.
Bobby Bones
Eddie, what do you think it is for you?
Eddie
Yeah, yeah. So I thought all these things. Right. But now I'm thinking that I've talked about when I got a passport to go explore Europe and go like to Paris. You talk about how you love.
Bobby Bones
That's what Amy says.
Amy
It's my dream.
Bobby Bones
You've not said that.
Lunchbox
I've never said that.
Eddie
You're right. I really don't know what it is. Dude, I really have been thinking. I cannot think of anything of how you're going to change my life today.
Amy
Does that make you wonder if they even deserve it? Because they're not. They don't even know what they want.
Lunchbox
What do you mean? I've been. I've had something every day and he can't come up with three things.
Eddie
I thought it was going to be a boat. I really thought it'd be a boat.
Bobby Bones
It's not going to be a boat.
Eddie
It's not a boat.
Bobby Bones
So I'll tell you who is going to get the life changing surprise first before you find out what it is. Drumroll, please.
Eddie
See you lunch.
Lunchbox
I'm not going anywhere.
Eddie
See you, dude.
Bobby Bones
See? As in you're not getting.
Eddie
He's not getting it. Come on.
Lunchbox
I mean, there's only one reason he would give it to Eddie. Only one reason.
Eddie
What's that one reason?
Lunchbox
Because he feels bad for you because
Amy
of his low teeth. Oh my gosh.
Bobby Bones
What did you say? I'm bringing a bucket of teeth.
Lunchbox
Like it's a sympathy. Like, oh my gosh. My friend is, you know, feeling down because he has no tea.
Eddie
That would be weird. But it. But cool in a way, right?
Bobby Bones
Like would you accept it if it was pity?
Eddie
Absolutely.
Lunchbox
Because that's the only way Eddie's getting it is out of pity and it
Eddie
would change my life.
Amy
That's true.
Lunchbox
I didn't say he was giving you tea. I saying he's gonna give you something. You have low tea.
Eddie
Oh no. I think now you're giving me tea in a bottle.
Bobby Bones
I'm not giving you tea in a bottle.
Eddie
Dang it.
Lunchbox
No, no, no.
Bobby Bones
It's. It's something significant.
Lunchbox
Oh my gosh.
Bobby Bones
Okay. The person.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
That is getting the life changing.
Lunchbox
Life changing. That word. Those words are like what is just like.
Bobby Bones
This is crazy.
Eddie
It's not money for sure.
Amy
Bobby, let us not forget this person asked for this.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, it's something that has been begged for. It has been talked about. Like even maybe not in specific words but you wanted it.
Eddie
Like has it been like a wish
Bobby Bones
or like it's been a desire? For sure.
Lunchbox
A desire.
Amy
Desire. That's a good word.
Bobby Bones
For sure. A desire.
Eddie
Maybe it's hair. Maybe I'm getting hair.
Lunchbox
No, we already did that.
Eddie
I know, but like I don't know.
Bobby Bones
The person who is getting the surprise is.
Eddie
Come on,
Lunchbox
come on, come on. I thought you my name. I saw the lips going. And I was like, oh, he already
Bobby Bones
Said is, come on, baby.
Eddie
Come on, baby.
Lunchbox
Point at me, point at me.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Idiot.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so first of all, Eddie, it's not you. I'm sorry.
Eddie
That's fine.
Lunchbox
That is what I'm talking about, boys and girl.
Bobby Bones
You haven't guessed at all what it is, man.
Amy
Which is why it's so crazy because you, you want. You want this. You've asked for it.
Bobby Bones
Walk us through the guesses that you've had so far.
Lunchbox
I thought it was going to be a casting person from Survivor and you said no. I thought I was going to go drive a Ferrari like on a racetrack or just like a rental for a day. Said no to that. And now I get to be the voice of a sports team. You said no to that, man. So. Oh, my God.
Bobby Bones
I'm gonna do. I'm gonna do one of the American Idol things. I'm like. After the break, we'll reveal what it is.
Eddie
Question real quick though. Is it for lunchbox or Daniel?
Amy
I think both.
Eddie
For both.
Bobby Bones
For lunchbox and Daniel, what was your thing?
Amy
Changing for both.
Bobby Bones
Yes. What was your thing?
Lunchbox
Well, because.
Bobby Bones
We'll come back in a second.
Lunchbox
No, I guess if it's for me, then it wouldn't be for a family. Oh, my God. It could be for you. You got me a car. Well, holy crap.
Eddie
You've been wanting a car.
Lunchbox
I have wanted a car. I have wanted a car.
Eddie
Because all you have is a bike now.
Lunchbox
Yes.
Amy
Did you ride your bike this morning?
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
How would you. How would you get your bike?
Caller Amber
Me?
Lunchbox
Throw it in the trunk. Or I just leave it up here and my wife could bring me back and I'll ride it home another day.
Bobby Bones
Okay. The so it is Lunchbox. So first of all, Eddie, I'm sorry.
Eddie
That's fine.
Bobby Bones
Lunchbox. And it is something. It's real. It's not like a joke.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I understand that.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Lunchbox
Vroom, vroom. You hear that?
Bobby Bones
So I heard in the parking garage. We'll actually do the reveal of what it is in just a second. Everybody good?
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Amy

Geico Gecko
Car.
Bobby Bones
Okay. It is not a car.
Lunchbox
Dang it.
Bobby Bones
Okay, are we ready?
Amy
We're ready.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so let's open the door.
Eddie
Open the door.
Lunchbox
Bananas. No, you said it wasn't Johnny Bananas.
Bobby Bones
The information.
Eddie
Is it like a banana? What are you talking about?
Lunchbox
Johnny Bananas.
Eddie
Oh, oh, you think it's him?
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Oh, oh, Johnny Banana.
Amy
Close his eyes and have to touch it.
Eddie
Touch it.
Lunchbox
No, I ain't doing that. We're not doing a snake.
Bobby Bones
You don't want to put your hand in a box.
Lunchbox
No, we're not doing a snake. I'm not doing a snake.
Amy
Again.
Bobby Bones
You've never desired a snake.
Lunchbox
That's what I'm saying. So I'm not, I'm not touching.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Lunchbox
I'm not touching random things that could get me in trouble.
Bobby Bones
I. I don't even think you need. You have to close your eyes.
Lunchbox
All right. Thank you.
Bobby Bones
Okay, so we're gonna bring. Can we get a little music, please?
Amy
To bring some, some like walk out music?
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Lunchbox
All right.
Eddie
Are you rolling something in?
Lunchbox
What is it?
Bobby Bones
Oh, hello. Man, you just hit the button.
Lunchbox
I don't know.
Bobby Bones
There's only so much music we can play that's free.
Geico Gecko
All right.
Lunchbox
What does that music have to do with.
Eddie
Sounds luxurious.
Bobby Bones
Like a wrestling match.
Lunchbox
What is this tied to? What it is like, is this like a hint? The music, is it a hint?
Bobby Bones
No, it's actually not.
Eddie
Okay.
Bobby Bones
All right, here we go. Come on in. Come on in. Come on in. Have a seat, Doctor.
Eddie
What is that?
Bobby Bones
Have a seat. That's your microphone right there. We're so happy you're here. Lunchbox. Lunchbox, this is Dr. Ethan Kellum, the NFL Tennessee Titans team physician who has come to check out your testicle.
Lunchbox
What up, dude?
Bobby Bones
You've been asking for him you wanted to get in with the Titans.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
I'm needed.
Lunchbox
Well, hold on.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Is that true?
Lunchbox
When I Google the Titans, doctor, it doesn't look like there's multiple. There's multiple.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
I'm not the head guy. I'm one of their guys.
Lunchbox
Oh, what's up, my man?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
How you doing?
Bobby Bones
This is Doctor.
Lunchbox
It's good to see you. Hold on.
Bobby Bones
This is Dr. Ethan Kellum. He is a sports medicine fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon leading the advancement of interventional and regenerative orthopedics in the greater Nashville area. He serves as a team physician for the Titans in the NFL, USA Basketball, and has worked with the Boston Celtics.
Lunchbox
Whoa. This dude knows my body.
Bobby Bones
He's gonna be able to do it. Has seen some swollen testicles.
Lunchbox
Have you ever seen a swollen. Swollen unit?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
I have.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Bobby Bones
I think he's seen many units. Yeah.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Let's ask some questions.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. First of all, Dr. Kellen, thank you much for being here.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah, thanks for having me.
Bobby Bones
Like, we are so excited. We have been talking between us about his issues, stomach and swollen testicle for months. Walk him through what you've been doing.
Lunchbox
Sit next to him.
Bobby Bones
Well, just for now. I mean, you're good for now.
Lunchbox
All right.
Bobby Bones
All right, go ahead.
Lunchbox
So last June, right, I went for a run, probably about three or four mile run. And I got a sharp pain right here on the left side. I mean, debilitating. And I was like, ah, man, it's just a sore muscle. Wait a couple days. Went for another run, and when I got done, I had to get to the bus stop. And it was two houses down. And it took me 30 minutes to walk to the bus stop. Wow. Because I could not move.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
That's.
Bobby Bones
That's okay. Hey, go ahead.
Lunchbox
You know, it's. I was like, all right, I gotta stop running. But I still played soccer because I could still play soccer. But after the games, it would hurt. But it wasn't, like, debilitating.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah.
Lunchbox
And then the pain started spreading across the front, underneath the belly button. Then eventually my left testicle, left tennis ball started getting swollen.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Throughout the day.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Now, has it been swollen before? No. Okay, so that's new.
Lunchbox
Yeah. But then, like, at nighttime, like when I go to sleep, it goes away, but then throughout the day, it comes back. And so I stopped playing soccer altogether. Stop running, thinking, okay, it's gonna heal itself. Well, it still ain't healed, man.
Bobby Bones
Doctor.
Lunchbox
Doctor.
Eddie
Man.
Bobby Bones
Dr. Kellum.
Lunchbox
Dr. Kellum.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Doctor Kellum.
Lunchbox
Yes.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
You can call me Ethan.
Lunchbox
No, no, I'm gonna call you Dr. Kellum, I'm gonna give respect because I like to be called doctor when I get on a plane too. So I. I don't know what is wrong with me. And I've been to. Let me see 55, 000 doctors, and they all just say, I don't know. Nothing wrong with you. Did an mri, CT scan, I did ultrasound of the. The guys down there twice. I've done it all. And I don't know what's wrong with me. Like, I played a game two weeks ago.
Bobby Bones
We should let the doctor talk a little bit. Eventually, when you're good, just.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah. I'm trying to go over my diagnosis and like, I played a game a couple weeks ago, and like, in the middle of the game, I could feel the pain in the lower, like underneath the belly button starting to hurt. And after the game, it took me 30 minutes to walk the length of a football field to get to the car and then to get from the street to my house. It took me 14 minutes. And then from my front door to my bed, 25 minutes. I didn't shower. So that's too much pain.
Bobby Bones
Dr. Kellen, what do you hear when you hear that?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
He's got a lot going on.
Bobby Bones
He does.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
A lot going on.
Lunchbox
Yeah. And I mean, as an athlete, it's tough to live this way.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
That's right. That's right. So it's interesting as I think about what's going on with you in kind of, you know, dissecting and thinking about it so that you're. Let's talk about your abdomen first. Yeah, it's on one side.
Lunchbox
Yeah. Well, I mean, it started on the left side, like, right. Just like right there. Sharp pain. And it was only right there. And then over the months, it would start going across. And I've had a little bit over here, but it's mainly here and across. And then now it sends some signals downstairs and it's just miserable.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
So it radiates into your groin. Does it. Does it hurt when you, like, cut or move or things like that?
Lunchbox
Sometimes, like, I mean, I can play a soccer game, but then, like, if I go, like, sit out, like, if I take a sub, that's when I can start feeling it. Like, ah, yeah.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
You know, one of the things that I'm curious about to see if you have is what they call, like a sports hernia or athletic pubalgia.
Bobby Bones
Definitely sounds like a publgia. He's a big pubalgia guy.
Amy
Lunchbox. Has any doctor said athletic pubalgia?
Lunchbox
No, none. I'll Tell you what the doctors have said. They told me there was my pelvic floor to Google some exercises or YouTube them, but they didn't tell me what exercises to YouTube. So I went to a physical therapy pelvic floor specialist. It's me and the women in there. It's really awkward. And they were like, it's not your pelvic floor. She felt around. She's like, your pelvic floor is legit.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Legit.
Bobby Bones
You need to examine him. Like, we can let you guys go to another room if you feel like that's a thing. We won't do it in front of us. I've asked to see his testicle. He's not allowed me to.
Lunchbox
I've been to the hernia doctor. They say there's no hernia. I've been to gastroenterologist, I've been to. And my primary care told me probably just gas. I went to a sports medicine doctor that did an mri and I came back. They didn't see anything on the MRI and said, hey, we are here if you need us, but we don't know what it is.
Amy
What about the one doctor that wanted you to get a colonoscopy?
Lunchbox
And then the. What are they called? Gastroenterologist. They said, oh, yeah, it's not your colon, but I'll give you a colonoscopy on Monday.
Eddie
For fun?
Amy
Yeah, for fun.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
So I really, as I think, as I hear what you're saying to me, I really think that it is that sports hernia that's going on, which is not like your typical hernia, right? It's not this something bulging out into your. Where you can feel and all these things. What happens with a sport hernia is that the, like, you have all those muscles in there, your internal external obliques from all those things that you do that. That soccer that you're playing all the time, you have all those muscles that have this soft tissue that overlies that, right? And sometimes that soft tissue gets pulled and damaged and all that stuff which might not show up on the mri, like what you had see, all right. But it's a. It's a clinical diagnosis. And so it really sounds like you. You have that. It starts on one side. It hurts when you're cutting, radiates down into your growing. Sounds like a sports trainer to me. There's not a lot of guys that do this in the country. The ways that you would treat it, which you've already tried initially, rest, physical therapy, doing anti inflammatories, which you're like hey, it's still hurting, still bothering me. Then you move into the. Some of the things that I do, like PRP stem cells, growth factors, inject in that area, help that. To help that tissue to repair as a possibility. If it goes on for a long time, it really bothers you. Then something like a surgical procedure, which is probably only a couple guys in the country that do those things, they do it laparoscopically, but. But I don't think you have to necessarily go there. I think I would try something regenerative before you do something surgical. But it sounds like it's been going on for a long time.
Lunchbox
Yeah, it's been going on since June, man, it's been tough. I put on like £10. Pictures are starting to look unflattering. I can't run. You know what I mean? And like, in my kids, I got three boys and they want to like run around and they're like, oh, dad, run your fastest. Yeah, I can't, guys, I can't.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
So what would you do with him if you were to start today? Like, what would you do with him?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah, so, you know, I would lay on that couch, I review that image. Well, yeah, definitely examine him. Right. Review the imaging.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
And then if I say I think this is what's going on, then I would recommend doing something regenerative first and seeing if we get you to a better place.
Bobby Bones
Can we send them to you?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Oh, for sure.
Lunchbox
Because I go to physical therapy twice a week, man. Like, we do stretches and we do this and we do strengthening and I mean, they're great. I mean, they're. They're fantastic.
Bobby Bones
But I just picture him doing jazzercise, how he talks about it with all the women.
Lunchbox
It is. I mean, it's a lot of pregnant women and women that just giving birth that are with me and it's like,
Dr. Ethan Kellum
yeah, we got to get you out of there.
Amy
I guess they're great about. Since lunchbox is an athlete and his wreck soccer. Like, is this something you see in your professional athletes?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Like, yes, something. I've seen professional athletes all the time.
Amy
Look at you.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
And like I said, the thing about it, there's only a few people in the country that treat it as far as surgically treat it. Well, but like I said, I think this is something that could, with the regenerative means, could be very helpful for you.
Bobby Bones
So we'll set up an appointment.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah, man, I'm in.
Amy
What is an examination entail? Like, what are you going to have to do?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Going to palpate that his belly and all those things. And you're really just ruling out to make sure there's no real hernias that are there or anything else that's going on. But you've had that million dollar workup as far as the 55,000 doctors.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah. I mean, it's amazing. It's amazing how many doctors have just sent me on my way. One guy, one urologist told me it was a vein that runs from my hip to my testicle. He goes, just take some Advil before you run. You'll be fine. That didn't work.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah. Yeah. So I think that's what's going. I think you have a sports hernia.
Lunchbox
Oh, man.
Amy
What's the other word you use? Penal.
Lunchbox
Whoa, Amy, he said pubic.
Bobby Bones
He said tiny pubic area.
Lunchbox
He didn't say tiny.
Amy
Microscopic.
Lunchbox
Microscopic pubic area. No, it didn't say that. Guys, this is my medical. This is going on for almost a year. I know. That's why.
Bobby Bones
That's why we set it up.
Lunchbox
You didn't change my life. You said you were going to change my life.
Bobby Bones
You got to thank Amy. Amy.
Lunchbox
Amy. You changed my life. Thank you.
Amy
No, you got to thank Kat in there because.
Eddie
Thank you.
Amy
It's so funny. Yeah. So, because Luckbox is bad begging for a professional athlete. He was like, I don't care. I need a doctor from the Titans. I need a doctor from the preds. I need a doctor from the soccer team, whatever. Like, anything. And then right after he said that, I'm talking to my friend Kat, and she's like, oh, I gotta go. I'm meeting with my friend, Dr. Kellum. He's with Titans. Like, I have a meeting with him. And I was like. And it was. I get like, you're a professional whole thing. And I was like, hey, so do you mind when you're in that meeting, if you could ask him if he would come on the Bobby Bones show to talk about Lunchbox's swollen testicle?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
That's exactly what I heard. Wait, what?
Amy
And so, thankfully, he was willing to come.
Bobby Bones
Another question for you. This guy here in the hoodie has extremely low testosterone. Eddie?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah.
Eddie
Hey, Doc, how are you?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Hey, Eddie.
Bobby Bones
It wasn't like the 200 mid-200s. What would you say to that?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
How old are you?
Eddie
47 years old.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Okay, so there's several things to do, right? 47 years old, low testosterone, which comes with a lot of things, Right? This is high energy, lots of stress. I heard you guys were in Austin this past. We were running hard, and then you're back in today, right?
Bobby Bones
Hit the ground running.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
So your life is super stressful. How is it stressful?
Eddie
I have four kids, too.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Oh, my God.
Eddie
Four boys.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
What? Let's go. I have four boys, too.
Eddie
You do?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Amazing.
Bobby Bones
Really?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah. It's so good. So good. But. But stressful.
Eddie
But chaotic.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah. Someone's sleep hurt. Dying all the time. So stressful life. Right. Then there's all the things that we eat. Right. The plastics and all that stuff. All of these things have decreased testosterone levels over time. So how do we combat that? At 47 years of age, you have two ways to kind of get that. Clean up all those things. Make sure you're lifting weights and eating well. Right. Those things are super helpful. And then you say, well, do I replace it or do I try to help my body do what it's supposed to do? I always encourage guys at the very beginning to try to get their body to do what it's supposed to do. You can do some things like enclomiphene. You can do some things like hgh. Not hgh, sorry, Human gonadotropin. Releasing something other. But those things will help your testicles to produce more testosterone. Right. Before replacing. Because when you replace it, then you bought it for life. Right. So at 47, you're kind of early, and so maybe doing some of those things that help you get to a much better place. But always the free things we want to do first. Exercise, lifting, weights. Right?
Eddie
Yeah.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
There's a study recently I saw that talked about sprinting. When's the last time you sprint it?
Eddie
Two years ago.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Two years ago?
Eddie
I guess a year and a half ago.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
The last time I sprinted was yesterday. But the first time. The last time before that would have been like, I don't know, four or five years. Sprinting for us at this age helps increase that testosterone significantly. So there's things, obviously, you can do that once again, are free, but then there's other things you can do. But I always want guys to know before you bite the bullet and have your testosterone replaced, you should look at things to have it. Have your body kind of increase it on its own with taking some things versus having that replacement. Because once you do that replacement, it's hard to go back.
Eddie
Doc, what about. What about squats? I did squats over the weekend. Like, does that help?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Squats helps. It does my. So exercising, doing, lifting weights, all those things are super helpful to do that. The hard thing about. As we get older. I'm 49. The hard thing about doing that is that Those weights can be tough on our joints. Right. And so then we have to find a way to manage that. There's some things out there. Isometric exercises are super, super helpful. Not gonna be bad on your joints, but it's actually gonna have. Gonna cause muscle hypertrophy. The more muscle you have, the more testosterone you have. All those things are super helpful, so just keep that in mind as well, too.
Eddie
Does it make me less of a man to have lower T than, say, someone in the 500s?
Lunchbox
Yes, it does.
Amy
Like, Lunchbox has 503, and Eddie has
Eddie
285, and he thinks he's, like, a manly man. And I'm. I have boobs.
Lunchbox
No, no.
Bobby Bones
He.
Lunchbox
He laughed when I tested 503, and he's like, oh, that's so embarrassing. And then he got reality.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
So it's very interesting. You only become less of a man if it's really bothering you. Right. Somebody at 200 may not have any effects from it. Someone at 500 could. So it kind of depends.
Eddie
Oh, so like, someone like me at 200 could have great libido. Someone at 500 could have no libido.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
You could.
Lunchbox
Right, but it's highly unlikely.
Amy
Valid. Thank you, Eddie, for bringing that up. Eddie gets up every morning fatigued, can barely face the day. He says. So that's what led to us even Bob being like, oh, we should do a low T off. But Eddie swears he's got all these other symptoms, but swears his libido just fine. Is that possible?
Eddie
It's crazy.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
I mean, it is possible. Very much so. But he definitely has symptoms from low, which is the. Hey, I get up. I'm tired. All those things. Yes.
Bobby Bones
It seems like that table, there's just deficient testicles or no testicles at all. We got Lunchbox with one, Morgan with none lunchbox. You only have one one hits.
Lunchbox
Worked one swollen, and I want to
Dr. Ethan Kellum
address that one swollen one. I think I know what's going on there.
Bobby Bones
Oh, yeah, Address. Go ahead.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
So does it feel like a bag of worms?
Lunchbox
Yeah, I think there's. Sometimes it feels like there's some worms
Dr. Ethan Kellum
in there and it comes and goes.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
And they did an ultrasound on you and nobody said anything?
Lunchbox
Yeah, they did two. I did two different doctors.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Like, was a urologist.
Lunchbox
Two urologists.
Bobby Bones
Really?
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
So that. I mean, I can't come here as an orthopedic surgeon and be like, oh, I think I know what's going on. When you saw two urologists.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Because what I would say was going on with you. What it sounds like is something called a varicocell, which is essentially a vein that's around that testicle. And it. You know, it's like you think about a varicose vein, right? Which you go, oh, those things get large, all those things. And that's exactly, exactly what's happening around the. The vein around that testicle. And it kind of comes and goes sometimes if dull ache, it feels heavy. You know, all those things actually can have a. An appearance where it looks, you know, like there's. Oh, it's going on. So that's what it sounds like. But it's wild that you've seen two urologists and none of them came up with that.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Unless you saw them when it was, like, deflated.
Bobby Bones
Was it wormy when you saw them?
Lunchbox
I think it was because it was middle of the day, so it would have been.
Amy
I mean, it's only at night that it calms down.
Lunchbox
Yeah. When I go to bed, when I
Dr. Ethan Kellum
lay down, you can imagine that laying down, and then that you don't have this. This. You know, this. When you're standing up, all the blood wants to pool down.
Lunchbox
Right.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
And so you can imagine that it's just gonna sit there if you're standing up. But if you lay down, that blood goes up.
Amy
What's the treatment for this?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
It's observational. Unless it's causing symptoms in the way of. Sometimes because that vein is there, you have more heat.
Eddie
Right.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
So now you can be infertile because of it. That testicle could be smaller.
Amy
Should it be removed?
Lunchbox
Oh, no, no, no.
Bobby Bones
Can we observe it? That's observational. We'd like to see it.
Eddie
Yeah.
Lunchbox
No.
Amy
Can it be donated to science?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
He might. He might want to keep it for as long as he. I mean.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I'm keeping it. We're good.
Eddie
We're.
Lunchbox
We're gonna.
Bobby Bones
Hey. But if you lose one, your testosterone will be even with Eddie's.
Lunchbox
That's true.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
And that's another thing that those. Those things having that can decrease the amount of testosterone.
Lunchbox
Boom. I even said that. I said, Guys, 503 maybe, you know, it's only average. Maybe trapped down there.
Bobby Bones
I have a question about stem cells. Seems like with the research that's been happening with stem cells, we are learning how beneficial they are in repairing different parts of the body. Is that correct?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
That is correct.
Bobby Bones
How do I get stem cells like
Dr. Ethan Kellum
a normal dude, come see me. Yeah, but how do you get them? There are several ways.
Bobby Bones
And how do they work?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah. So there's two places that you can get stem cells and also growth factors and also exosomes. Stem cells are kind of like the cell that produces a lot of those things. Growth factors come from other places, and then exosomes come from those stem cells and all those things really help to modulate or decrease inflammation in your body. And the places that you can get them from, you can get them from yourself in the form of bone marrow adipose or prp, which comes from the blood. Or you can get them from what we call off the shelf material, which says, okay, we're going to take this healthy mom that had a healthy baby. Right. Doesn't come from either one of them. No aborted children involved in getting any of that material. It comes from leftover amniotic placental umbilical cord that's going to be thrown away. And those things have stem cells and growth factors and exosomes in there. And you can take that material once they process and do all those things and. And then they essentially bottle it. And then someone like me can then use that in your body in the appropriate time and space and all that stuff. And so that's what stem cells. Stem cells are what you use them from for host of things. I started out 10 years ago here in Nashville, Tennessee, using it for musculoskeletal things. I'm an orthopedic surgeon. That's, you know, that's my niche as far as why the Titans use me as is on their staff. But I went from there to going to more like anti aging, longevity things, other chronic diseases. Everything as we get older has inflammation as its base. Right. And in fact, Harvard term coined a term probably five years ago called inflammaging. And so it's all about that. As we get older, we just have more and more inflammation that just doesn't go away. And at some point in time, we can't handle it and then we die. Right.
Bobby Bones
That sounds fun.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah. And so stem cells, growth factors, exosomes, what they do is they decrease that inflammation, they reset those things for a little bit. It's not a cure or any of those things, but it helps decrease that inflammation. So normally your symptoms from some of those things can be better from that.
Bobby Bones
And so does it have to be prescribed? Because we can't go to Walmart and get stem cells.
Lunchbox
Right.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Can't go to Walmart. Definitely have to come see. See someone like me to do that. Yeah, that's been doing it for a while. And does it appropriately.
Amy
Yeah, probably not like a flashing sign on the side of the road.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Somebody does it inappropriately. That's kind of what I like.
Amy
Cheap if it sounds too good to be true.
Bobby Bones
But they do change lives, right?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
They have in lots of cases and also, you know, they've changed lives. They've changed contracts.
Bobby Bones
Right?
Amy
What do you mean by contracts as
Dr. Ethan Kellum
far as like the professional athletes and those things. Longer career.
Bobby Bones
Amy's wanting a new contract. She thinks if she takes some, she has a new contract.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
She's like, I want. Somebody's gonna get a new contract.
Bobby Bones
Let's go.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah.
Amy
Yeah. Oh, so athletes, because they can as they're healthy. Being a professional athlete, like the body just. There's so much. Like a football player has so much damage that's happening. So this helps them repair faster, therefore they're more valuable.
Lunchbox
I had a.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Had a guy come in to see me retired guy. And he, he, he talked to me. He said, he goes, when I was. When I was a rookie, you know, play a game on Sunday and it's like being a. In a battle, right? So I had one guy come in on the Monday after all these scratches and stuff like that. I'm looking at him, I was like, man, what happened to you? And I forgot, oh, you played in the game on Sunday.
Bobby Bones
Okay.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
But he, he said that he. By Tuesday he could. He was ready to go again. And then it moved to Wednesday. Then it moved to Thursday. He said when it got to Saturday, I knew it was. I knew it was time to hang up my cleats. Doing things like this, as far as once again nutrition, exercising properly, even for them, for all of us. In that case, we can prolong our career by using things that are going to decrease inflammation.
Amy
So lunchbox's rec Soccer league could same
Bobby Bones
when he knew it was Saturday and
Amy
it had been all week, hang up the cleats.
Lunchbox
But I haven't got there yet. That's what I'm saying.
Bobby Bones
You still haven't retired yet?
Lunchbox
Still haven't retired. Even when I can't walk to the car, it takes me 30 minutes.
Bobby Bones
So we're gonna let you. We'll send you to the doctor here.
Lunchbox
Yeah, I'm ready to go.
Bobby Bones
And so Dr. Kellum, you'll see him, right?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
I will.
Bobby Bones
We won't do the testicle in the room. Would have been my choice of a bit, but. And then.
Lunchbox
Are you in network? Let me make sure he's in network.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
We get you squared away.
Bobby Bones
We got it. We got it hooked up.
Amy
Don't worry about you say you would you say you're gonna palpate. Palpate, Palpate his stomach. Like, what is. Does that just mean press on it?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah. You can't say the word feel, you know, when you're examining somebody. So you have to use big wor. That's a. No, no.
Amy
You say, you can't say, I'm just gonna feel your stuff.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
That's a negative.
Eddie
Yeah, because what if he's talking about his testicles? That doesn't sound good.
Lunchbox
What?
Bobby Bones
I'd rather him say, I'm gonna feel your testicle than palpate your testicle.
Lunchbox
Because if he's.
Bobby Bones
It sounds like I want to feel more than a palpate.
Amy
Okay, wait, no, I'm, I'm really serious. Like, this is like, you learn this in school or like ethically, like co. Like, yeah. Contract.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Like, yeah. You. You don't want to. That's. I. I can remember. There's lots of stories I could tell you, but. But yeah, you definitely don't say Phil.
Amy
I wonder when they had to implement that.
Bobby Bones
Probably right after lawsuit. Yeah, probably right after the lawyer. Lawyers in the court. They had a lawyer up.
Eddie
Yeah, that makes sense.
Amy
Okay, so you're. You're in a palpate lunchbox.
Bobby Bones
Dr. Kellum, thank you so much for coming in and helping us. This has been a year long thing. He's tried it all. We've gone through the, the. His story and we thought he was making it up at first, but now he's just been to so many doctors and done so many things that Amy, luckily this fell in her lap with her friend. Making a really significant ask to you and thank you for giving us your time. That is really, it means a lot to us for you coming in. Unless you're gonna go see him.
Lunchbox
Yeah. And can I ask him a question?
Bobby Bones
You can go ahead.
Lunchbox
Just do my stories about how some doctors act like, oh, yeah, you know what I mean?
Eddie
I don't know.
Lunchbox
And they just throw up their hands. Does that sound familiar?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
You know, it happens because they think I'm lying.
Bobby Bones
We let him answer. You ask him a question and you let him answer.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah, yeah. It's, you know, sometimes when we don't know. Right. And there's times that we don't know, have no idea, like, what do we do? And so, you know, the goal though, for most of us is try to figure it out. And if we don't know, we're going to talk to someone else that may know. And that's usually, you know, how it goes and what we want to see. Like, I may not know the answer, but I'm going to find someone that does because usually someone has seen what's going on with you.
Lunchbox
Okay.
Bobby Bones
And they just kept sending you to YouTube.
Lunchbox
Yeah. I mean, you ever tell your patients, hey, go look up some exercises on YouTube. You ever tell them that?
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Not usually.
Bobby Bones
All right, There he is. Dr. Kellum. Thank you so much. And we, we're looking forward to him. This is great being fixed because we've been hearing about it a lot, so you're saving our life. All right, There he is. Dr. Kell, everybody.
Amy

Lunchbox
Habit trying to put you through m riding this wig's next bit. And Bobby's on the mic. So you know what this is? This is the Bobby V. All right,
Bobby Bones
over to Amy with the Morning Corny.
Lunchbox
The Morning Corny.
Amy
What brand of car is the best at yoga, huh? What? Mercedes Benz.
Eddie
That's funny.
Amy
Benz got it.
Bobby Bones
That was the Morning Corny Tuesday reviews day. I'll go first. I watched Running man with Glenn Powell. It's a Stephen King book Mike told me about. I didn't know that. I like it, but it's, it's really good because not, it's, it's absurd. It's a lot of action, but it's also definitely like, like black mirror type of. This is where society's going. Very much a societal message. Like there's a deep meaning to it, too. I thought it was really good. 4 out of 5. So you take it on different levels. It's kind of goofy, but at the same time, it's really serious. So, yeah, I give it four out of five. You liked it, right? Yeah. Really over the top of fun. Really over the top fun and also, like, sad because that's literally. That's where we're going. Yeah, that's literally. The whole thing's about a guy who.
Lunchbox
He.
Bobby Bones
He has no money. He lives in a bad part of town. It's very much class distinction, like upper class, lower class. And how wealth, the disparities. So, so much. And so he's like, I got no other option. So I'm gonna go on this reality show and try to run from every. You know, if you make it for a week. A week. 30 days, maybe. 30 days, yeah. If you can last 30 days without them killing you.
Eddie
Killing you.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah.
Lunchbox
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
You win.
Amy
Oh, wow.
Bobby Bones
So it's very much. That's the message. Like, rich people get richer and they're holding poor people, keeping their foot on their necks.
Amy
And then for poor people to make money. It's like a game.
Bobby Bones
It's like a game to rich people. Did you get that message?
Eddie
No, no, no. I saw it as just kind of like. It's kind of a dumb movie, but I like it. Very entertaining.
Bobby Bones
That's what I got.
Geico Gecko
Movie.
Eddie
Yeah, because it's a little silly. There's silly parts to it.
Bobby Bones
So watch that. And then I watched. I finished the whole season of the Wire because forever, everyone says that is an epic television show. And so I wanted to jump back in. I give it three out of five stars. I think probably 20 years ago, it was four and a half out of five stars. It's. It's so dated. It's only. Okay. If it were to exist today. I don't think I'm gonna go to season two. Like, that's. We had to struggle to finish it.
Amy
We gave it a shot.
Bobby Bones
Watch the whole thing. All 13 episodes in the first season. It's way too many episodes, too. Nowadays they do eight, and that's enough. Way too many episodes. So I give the Wire three and a half out of five. So. All right, what do you have?
Amy
I have no TV shows, no movies. Just books. You know me.
Bobby Bones
Okay, Mike. I watched the Devil Verse. Prada, too. I was worried it was just gonna be a cash grab, but it was. If you love the first one, you'll like this one.
Amy
Oh, I can't wait.
Bobby Bones
It's a good mix of nostalgia, but they had a reason to make this story. Will you go to theater and watch it?
Amy
Good question. I think I'm more like, I can't wait to watch it at home.
Bobby Bones
The person that Devil wars produce about. Not the. Not the. Whatever. The young girl. Caitlyn's friend.
Amy
Which is crazy.
Bobby Bones
Yeah.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Did you know that?
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think you told me that. Yeah. It's crazy.
Eddie
The young girl character.
Amy
Anne Hathaway's character.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Yeah.
Eddie
That is amazing.
Bobby Bones
It's crazy. No, I know. It's bizarre. It's like two different lines.
Amy
Because it's based on that person. Does she get money?
Bobby Bones
I never asked about the financials. It's really not.
Eddie
That is an interesting question, though.
Lunchbox
Oh, yeah.
Bobby Bones
I never asked about that. Bones, go and talk to Amber, who lives in Tampa. Hey, Amber, you're on the show. Good morning.
Caller Amber
Hey, good morning, Bobby Buns. Good morning, studio.
Lunchbox
Morning.
Caller Amber
How are you? I have been listening to you for so many years. I lived down home in South Florida for a while and listened to you before, you know, you grew. And I listened to Amy adopting her kids and followed that whole story. And for a couple years, I kind of fell off track, went to prison, unfortunately, and then couldn't find you. We had tablets in prison, and I didn't have any way to listen to you. And I was, like, writing, you know, all the time. Can you add this? Can you add this? So my mom finally sent me one of your books in there and got me through and got out. Moved to Tampa, immediately found you had been listening and followed, you know, birth of your baby. And I have two older kids, and we used to work from you taking them to school. And I sent them your picture of the baby. And I was like, look, you got a baby. And, you know, when Amy's daughter just turned 19, I'm like, can you believe she's 19? And it's just you guys have been a part of, you know, growing up and. And some sobriety for me. So I've been clean almost eight years now. And I just wanted to say thank you for, you know, helping me through that.
Bobby Bones
Well, congratulations on. On getting yourself clean and staying sober. I mean, that's a reason to celebrate itself. So when you were in and you have a tablet, do you not get. Do you get apps or are they limited apps?
Caller Amber
They're limited apps, but there was, like, iheartradio, but only, like, certain stations like you. Um, so I was always writing classifications. Hey, you know, there's no profanity. He doesn't curse. It's, you know, family oriented. And so for Four years. I tried and tried, but they never. Like, sometimes I could catch things, you know, here and there about you. Or like, my mom would send magazines if anything was going on, but it was hard. It was hard. So, yeah, I mean, there's stuff you can get, but it's not, you know, everything.
Bobby Bones
They childproof that. Huh?
Lunchbox
Huh?
Bobby Bones
I mean, for lack of.
Amy
We had prisoners listen before. Like, maybe it's just dependent on which jail you're at. Because we get letters.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, we get letters sometimes. Okay, that's true.
Amy
Like, they're incarcerated and they. They still listen.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, well, I don't know. We weren't on. Maybe locally.
Amy
Oh, true. Yeah, yeah, yeah, man.
Eddie
We need to get them in prisons. Like, we need to work on this.
Bobby Bones
Like, that's our thing. Prison radio. Yeah.
Amy
Prison friendly.
Bobby Bones
Yeah. Amber, I'm so happy for you. Like, seriously, thank you for the super, super nice compliment.
Amy
And in eight years. That's wonderful.
Bobby Bones
Feels like a long time and probably like just yesterday at the same time, right?
Caller Amber
Yeah. I can't believe that you have a child, you know, and Amy's daughter is 19. I mean, I watched the video of them coming through the airport. Like, it's just. Where does the time go?
Bobby Bones
Where does the time go is right. Well, that is so nice of you. I'm so glad you got through. And we're. We're rooting for you. Sounds like you, you.
Caller Amber
Thank you.
Bobby Bones
Going in a positive direction. So thank you so much and hopefully we'll talk to you again soon. Okay?
Caller Amber
Absolutely. Take care, everybody.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
All right, bye.
Bobby Bones
Bye. Bobby Bone Show Bonehead Story of the day.
Lunchbox
This story comes to us from West Palm Beach, Florida. A 20 year old man was working at Taco Bell when three chicks come in. They're like, oh, can we get some cups for water with our meal? Sure. Hands them the cups, they go over and did they get water? Nah, they filled it up with Coke. He starts yelling at them. They yell back at him. He goes, you can't do that. He goes in the back, grabs a gun.
Bobby Bones
Oh, my God.
Amy
Why is it always a gun?
Bobby Bones
Oh, because there are so many and you can just have them wildly. Like, everybody have one.
Dr. Ethan Kellum
Yeah.
Bobby Bones
Well, they probably get one when they check into work that day. Yeah. Okay.
Amy
So he goes.
Lunchbox
And he goes, you think you can get coke for free? Bam, bam, bam, bam. Two of them were hit.
Bobby Bones
Oh, do you think you can get coke for free?
Eddie
I mean, you can't do that. You can't ask for water and then get Coke, but it's not his.
Lunchbox
Who cares?
Eddie
You're not supposed to.
Bobby Bones
You're not saying can't. But it's the bam, bam, bam part.
Eddie
Yeah, that's the problem.
Bobby Bones
But also, if you're an employee, you really probably don't say anything. Yeah, that's just kind of a social rule, you know? Do right, and if you see somebody getting coke, you don't go up. I used to work in a restaurant. We see people doing crap all the time. You just go, they're just not a good person. You're really not losing anything. Ah, it sucks. What are you gonna say?
Amy
Well, I mean, the punishment just doesn't fit the crime.
Bobby Bones
I would agree with that. Yeah, I would definitely agree with that.
Amy
It's like, you know, hey, take their cup away from them.
Bobby Bones
Yeah, I think the punishment is, hey, guys, we just saw you get coke from the machine. Don't do that next time, or you're not allowed back.
Amy
We'll put your photo up.
Bobby Bones
No, you need that money, though, for the restaurant to stay in business. Okay.
Lunchbox
Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead. Story of the day, Bones.
Bobby Bones
All right. Voicemail. Yo, has anybody else noticed Daniel is definitely a prom king, and Lunchbox is just Lunchbox. So I think Daniel, prom king, might be a real thing. What do you think about that?
Lunchbox
Nope. I think Lunchbox is prom king. And we confirmed it on at the iHeart Festival. One of my classmates was in the audience. Morgan got the ask, and she said, yep, he is prom king. No, no.
Bobby Bones
No one's debating it.
Amy
Yeah, you know, we definitely know you
Eddie
have the crown, Daniel.
Bobby Bones
Organic material, that you are prom king. That's it.
Eddie
That's confirmed. We know that.
Bobby Bones
It's who. The angry Lunchbox or the nice Daniel.
Lunchbox
That's who I've been my whole life. It's Lunchbox.
Bobby Bones
All right, hit the next one.
Caller Amber
I'd like to bring us something up for Lunchbox. Remember when everybody was giving you a hard time and calling you Daniel, and you got so upset you wouldn't even respond to people? Well, you were being very rude about it. And now Eddie has the low T. And now you're teasing him incessantly. I think it's needs to stop, Lunchbox. Think about how you felt, Daniel. Have a good day, everybody. Bye, Daniel.
Eddie
It's a good lesson.
Bobby Bones
Good lesson for all of us.
Lunchbox
I don't give a crap special.
Bobby Bones
That's Lunchbox talking.
Lunchbox
I don't give a crap.
Bobby Bones
What about what's Daniel say?
Lunchbox
I don't give a crap.
Bobby Bones
Daniel's not here today.
Lunchbox
He's never gonna be Here.
Amy
I don't know. He shows up.
Bobby Bones
He was on Price is Right. Going pretty hard.
Lunchbox
He was no. Hey, low T, you be quiet.
Bobby Bones
Dang. That's lunchbox.
Eddie
That is Lunchbox Bucks.
Lunchbox
We're done.
Bobby Bones

And now for a bit of breaking news. Between your breaking news with me, the Geico Gecko, here are some things you ought to know today. People who switch their car insurance to Geico save about $900 a year. Experts are calling that. Nice to know. Also, plants can hear when bees buzz. My ficus just heard that. And finally, animal experts have confirmed that goats have regional accents. I'm getting a hint of Irish there.
Lunchbox
It feels good to get good news. It feels good to guy.
Caller Amber
All right.

Episode: TUES PT 1: Bobby Reveals Show Member's Big Surprise! + Amy's Worst Nightmare Come True + Our Listener Did Prison Time?!
Host: Bobby Bones
Co-hosts: Amy, Eddie, Lunchbox
This episode dives into a mix of wild news stories, personal listener milestones, and the highly anticipated revelation of a life-changing "super secret surprise" for one of the show members. A significant amount of the show centers on bizarre headlines and relatable dilemmas, including Amy’s “worst nightmare,” scams, parental debates, and Lunchbox’s mysterious medical saga. Plus, a heartfelt listener call shares a story of redemption after prison—all served with the crew’s trademark banter and humor.
Spider in the Straw (03:25)
Amy’s Worst Nightmare Come True (04:34)
Benadryl Challenge Warning (06:25)
Parking Lot Charity Scam (07:30)
Part 1: The Announcement (12:26–17:00)
Part 2: The Reveal—Meeting with High-Profile NFL Doctor (21:22–46:47)
Lunchbox relates a year-long saga: Debilitating left-sided pain and a swollen testicle after running, spreading to his belly and groin, affecting parenting and recreation.
He’s visited dozens of doctors, received conflicting diagnoses (“It’s just gas,” “Try pelvic floor therapy,” “No hernia”), and undergone MRIs, ultrasounds, and physical therapy.
Dr. Kellum’s Hypothesis: Likely a "sports hernia" (athletic pubalgia)—a soft-tissue/muscle/tendon injury common in athletes that may not always show up on scans. Treatment might involve regenerative medicine (e.g., PRP, stem cells) or surgery only as a last resort.
After further questioning, Dr. Kellum suspects a varicocele (a varicose vein in the testicle) for the swelling, explaining it often worsens when standing and can cause discomfort or, rarely, fertility issues.
Next Steps: In-person examination, imaging review, and likely regenerative therapy.
Amy gets credit for arranging the surprise via her friend Kat, connecting Dr. Kellum with the show.
TV & Movie Reviews (51:15–54:17)
Morning Corny (51:20)
Bonehead Story of the Day (57:38)
Voicemail Segment: Lunchbox/Prom King & Low T Teasing (59:26–60:49)
The tone throughout is lively, fast-paced, and filled with the show’s trademark mix of good-natured teasing and genuine support. There’s real vulnerability from listeners and cast alike—especially in Lunchbox’s medical frustration and Amber’s call of gratitude and perseverance.
Bottom Line:
