I'm your host SSG Bright and First foremost I would like to give all praises, honor and glory to the Most High. Thank you Lord for building us up Like a rock as the church, so that the devil Hasatan would not overcome us. Thank you Lord, for giving me senses for sight, sound, touch, smell, taste, intuition, reasoning and premonitions through dreams. Thank you Lord, for blessing me to have your light shine upon me early this morning. And we do so by the way of the chosen one, the comforter, the Word, the answer, in which the world densely calls Jesus Christ. All praises, amen. Well, well, well. Our topic today, ladies and gentlemen, is smoking weed. Is smoking weed is a dollar tree. You guys are in for a treat. And that's not the munchies. The type of treat you're in for tonight, the type of treat you in for is a good servant, a good helping of the bread of life, the word of God. So this is a very important topic, especially here in these last evil days in the world that's in utter darkness. So the most High God commands us to drink liquor in the Bible, but nowhere else in the Bible does he command you to roll any plant into a blunt, to put into a pipe, to put into any apparatus and burn it and smoke it and inhale it. Frankincense and myrrh in the Bible are not, Are not hers, their residents, of course, dealing with the children of God, the children of Israel, who are just revolting and going away backward, as you guys have already done. There's no thing under the sun. So. So say no to drugs. Say no to the ancient word pharmakaya. Say no to sorcery. Say no to witchcraft. The reason why you cough when you ingest smoke into your lungs, because your lungs are not designed to inhale smoke of any sort. So this just goes to show you that the perversiveness that the twisting of and putting on and turning up things, turning them upside down. We're going to demonstrate how smoking weed is a sin. And not only a sin, a sin unto death when or if you ever smoked a cigar. It's a warning that people give you before you smoke it. Do not inhale, do not inhale it into your lungs because it would just hit your chest so hard. Because again, smoke is not supposed to be in your lungs when there's a fire. People die in fires from asphyxiation from the smoke inhalation before they get burnt, because smoke does not belong in your. In your lungs. In the book of Isaiah, chapter 8, verse 20, it reads to the law, the Torah and the testimony, which will be the prophets. If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. When you're engaging in the smoking of marijuana, the smoking of crack cocaine, the smoking of heroin, the smoking of any of that stuff. It's wrong. Because what I like is, is the law of God, the most. The most high God brought forth grass and herb, yielding seed. But it was fully for to eat, not to roll up in a blunt as smoke. In the book of Genesis, chapter one, verse 29, verse 29. And God said, behold, I have given you every herb, barren sea which is upon the face of the earth. You heard about and I've heard about genetically modified fruits and vegetables. It's not good. Also, genetically modified herbs and types of plants are not good. Also, brothers, don't roll up or don't dry out cilantro in a backwood. In a. In the backwood and smoke it. You don't do that because you, you do that with THC because you want to be up in smoke, high in the clouds. In the Book of Math, in the book of Isaiah, chapter one, when the prophet Isaiah prophesies, the cultural backdrop was that the vision of Isaiah, the son of Amos, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham and Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. All of these names are important. It says, hear, O heavens, and give ear to oh earth, for Yahwah have spoken. I have nourished and brought you children, and they have rebelled against me. How have we rebelled? By not keeping the commandments. And it says, and give ear, O earth. The ox knoweth his owner and the ass his master's creel. But Israel do not know, my people do not consider. And it says, all sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers. So let's look up the word iniquity. It's a Hebrew word called I want, it says, translated as iniquity, punishment, fault, mischief, sin, perversity, depravity, guilt. Now the definition says moral evil, fault, mischief, punishment. So let's look at the etymology root. It goes back to the word Iowa. Iowa is a verb and it means a miss crooked. And it goes on to say, to bend or twist or distort. So what you'll be doing is you'd be distorting the word of God, resting, believing, twisting the laws of God to justify your perverted understanding. And that's what iniquity is. Sin, on the other hand, is the transgression of the law. You must live by every word that proceeds out the mouth of God. So transgressions is to step over, to step across to. Across the line or to twist and pervert the law, because you, you will be committing engrossed iniquity. So if sin, which is a transgression of the law, let's say that like a cut, then iniquity would be like a putrefying sore. A cut that did not heal because you did not rent the first aid on it or washed it out, you did not dress it, you did not put ointment on it. You just allowed to allow it to fester and become just disgusting and full of pus. Right? That's what iniquity is. So the prophet Isaiah is telling us here in Isaiah, chapter 1 4. A nation of people just covered in iniquity, engrossed in putrefying souls, a seed of evildoers, children that that are corruptors. They have forsaken Jehovah, the most high God. They have provoked the Holy One Israel, and unto anger they are going away backwards. They would you be stricken anymore? You know, so why would you be stricken anymore? You will reward you, you will revoke more and more. The whole head is sick and the whole heart faint. So the prophet Isaiah, a great Judite, start off his rebuke, rebuking of the nation of Israel. His prophesying is just spraying up the block on Israel, just rebuking the hell out of Israel. Because we have revolted. We don't know our master's crib. We don't know where our owner's home is. Why? Because we're following after the strangers. We're following after the other nations. Who the most high God told us in Deuteronomy, chapter 7, verse 6:6, that we are above all nations, that we are supposed to be a holy and separate and set apart people. Here are the laws you are breaking when you smoke marijuana. Let's go to Genesis, chapter one, verse 29 to say, every herb bearing seed for me. Yes, every herbarium seed is for me. You can eat herbs. That doesn't mean that every herb on the planet you can't eat. For the record, can you eat a person poison ivy? You cannot. So you know people that take that and they run with it. So now let's go to Isaiah, chapter two. It says the word of Isaiah, the son of Amos saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days that the mountain of the Yahuwah's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow unto it. Talking about the temple mountains are Represented like nations. We're going to be supreme nation. We're going to be the supreme nation. And all of the other nations, they're going to flow unto us to come where? To learn of our God, to learn of our ways instead of learning their ways. And many people shall go and say, come ye, let us go up to the mountain of Yehovah, to the house of God, of Jacob. Instead of us going to the house of their gods, they'll be going. They'll be going to be coming to the house of our God Jehovah. And he will teach us of his ways. Who He? Who's the He? Who's the he? Right here, Jacob? Us, the Israelites, we will have to teach the heathens our ways instead of learning their ways, because their ways is not wisdom. So in the book of Deuteronomy, chapter four, it let us know that from verse five to like 78, that's the law, statute, commandments, those that is our wisdom and our understanding in the sight of the nation that shall see us and see how great society our society is, see how magnificent and wonderful our laws are, our ways are. And they will say, wow, this is such a wise and understanding people. A people that God is close to and stood by them. God is so nigh unto them. In the book of Zechariah, chapter 8, verse 23, it says that 10 men, which 10 represents completion out of all the languages of the nations, will take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew and say, we will come with you because we heard God is with you. This is a future prophecy. So Isaiah snaps on Israel, he cries aloud, he spares not. He lift up his voice like a trumpet and. And he shows his people their transgressions. He points out, he cries out, sinful people laden, just slattered in iniquity, covered in putrefying swords, because they're coming, they're. They're committing transgressions, they're cleaning their wounds. He says in Isaiah 1, wash your wash, wash you, make you clean, pull away the evil of your doings when you are rolling up blunts and are doing evil. And you are following the ways of the brother of the heathen. And that's what you're doing. So buckle up and stay with me. Let's keep going. So it says, and he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his path again instead of us walking in their path, because their paths are crooked, their paths are not correct. The path that the most High God gave us, his Torah, that the Proper path that we need to walk. It says we will walk in his path. For out of Zion shall come forth the law, the Torah and the word of Yahuwah from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations and shall rebuke many people. And they shall beat their swords into the plowshares and their spirits into the pruning hooks. Nations shall not let the sword against shall not let the sword against the nation. Neither shall they learn war anymore. So this is what is going to happen when we what in the book of Isaiah, chapter 2, verse 5. O house of Jacob, come ye and let us walk in the light of Yahor. Which is what? The law. So we have to walk in the law of Yehoah. It says therefore thou has forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they inside In Isaiah chapter 2, verse 6 are replenished from the east. They are soothsayers. Soothsayers. Remember when you used to be up in the clouds? We're going to take a look at this word Soothsayers, it says. And our soothsayers like. Like the Philistines. And they please himself in the children of strangers. So let's read this in the nlt. For Yahuwah has rejected this people, the descendants of Jacob, because they have filled their last with what? The practices of the east with the sorcerers like the Philistines do. They have made alliances with pagans. Let's look at the NIV version. Yahoah have abandoned your people, the descendants of Jacob. They are full of superstitions from the east. Hey bro. Sacred rule. Puff, puff past to the left. Keep the energy going in the circle. You can't split the pole, bro. Or ash before you pass. Or bad lucky. You know you're ruin the vibe, man. If you smoke out of turn, you spill the wine. Bless. Bless the bottle. This is for the homies, bro. Superstitious. Oh bro, don't. Don't do that bro, with the blunt, bro. It says they are full of superstitions from the east. They practice divination like the Philistines and embrace pagan customs. So demonstrating how smoking marijuana is a pagan custom. Because guess what the soul say the sayers in Isaiah chapter 2, verse 6. Bottom from Mesopotamia. Whereas where is Mesopotamia in reference to Israel? Oh, it's to the east. The Philippines. Who are Goliath? The five lords of the Philistines. I mean Philistine. The Philistines. Who are Goliath. The five laws of the Philistines. They have these difficult cities. Escalon, different cities. Escalon, Garth, Ashadan, Echelon, Ekron, those were the main ones. But there was a total of five major cities of the Philistines and they have five lords or rulers of those cities. So pay attention. One of the cities is Gap. It's where Goliath is from. Let's look at the word for suicide. Soothsayers concerning the Philistines. It's the Hebrew word inan. So let's take a look at how it's translated. It's a verb. It says observer of times bring sorceress, enchanter, inan, a primitive route to cover. Use only as a demonative. In the Strong's G86 051 to cloud over. Let's take a look at this word. What it say? Cloud, cloudy. Let's look at the etymology root inon again they're both connected, same word to the. To. The word for suicide is anon. I know it says Palestine fun. There are soothe like the Philistines. They are Ananians, K Palatiums. Ka means other Philistines. So inan is translated as observer of times suicide. And soothsayers bring sorcerers Enchanter. This word is used in Genesis chapter 9, verse 14. 14 and. And it shall come to pass when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud. Talking about the rainbow is seen in what? In the clouds. Where are the clouds? In the heavens up high. When the negroes get high, are they doing? What are they doing? They're blowing in the clouds. You used to huff and puff, right? You used to used to blow holes, smoke rings, all that blowing up in the clouds. That's literally what. That's literally what people are saying and smoking pothead weed culture. Oh, we in the clouds. I'm on cloud nine. It's con. It's all connected. Listen. See where? And see where else that word is used in Leviticus, chapter 19, verse 26. Ye shall not eat anything with the blood, neither shall you enchantment. No observe times. It's the Same word, strong, 6049. Don't observe times. Don't be like a sooth sayer of the Philistines. We're going to dive into the practices of the Philistines and demonstrate. Demonstrate how our people during the time of Ahaz, they were following the ways of the Philistine. They were, excuse me, following the ways of the heathen. Setting up a high place where they were going to do what? Getting high up in the clouds. Being soothing singers in Deuteronomy chapter 18, verse 10. There should not be found among you anyone that make his son or his daughter pass through the fire. So what we're seeing here is that the association with idolatry and observing times, being an enchanter and being a witch, because that's literally how the heathen worship their gods, right? What does it mean to pass your son through the fire in the sense of archaeology, the earth, the heathen who have been the vanguards of archaeology. We have all this archaeological evidence that reveals the heathen the basis of human beings, the basis of the lords. He's the one undertaking all, unearthing all of these things in the earth, because he is the earth and we are the heavens. And their archaeological un. Uncertainty help us to understand our God and our place in the cosmos, our place in life, our place as a son and daughters of the only one true living God. Yahwah. Okay, everybody, that. The Bright Lion Podcast: EP 16 – Smoking Weed is Idolatry
Hosted by SSG Bright | July 18, 2026
In this episode, SSG Bright delivers a passionate and scripturally-rooted message challenging the use of marijuana, framing it as an act of idolatry rather than simply a personal choice. By drawing connections between biblical teachings, Old Testament prophecy, and modern weed culture, SSG Bright argues that smoking weed reflects a departure from God’s path and incorporates pagan customs and sorcery. The episode is rich in biblical references, etymological deep-dives, and cultural commentary, all aimed at inspiring listeners to reconsider the spiritual implications of drug use.
The episode maintains a lionhearted, uncompromising tone. SSG Bright skillfully interweaves scripture, historical context, and contemporary observations to make a forceful case that smoking weed is tantamount to idolatry and spiritual rebellion. The message is clear:
“Be a bold lion. Roar like a lion. Intense like a lion. Great like a lion. Hone like a lion. Treasure like a lion.” [32:50]
Listeners are left challenged and equipped to view everyday choices through a biblical and spiritual lens, with a call to reject practices not rooted in God’s instruction.
