You got the Trio. You got the Trio. Hey, everybody, it's Tim Miller from the Bulwark. Hope you liked that little teaser there. We have the Trio theme. I gotta tell you, you really are gonna have to stay to the end of this episode, because the full Trio theme, TGIF inspired. For all of you millennials out there, the lyricism. I'm not gonna say who the writer was with the lyrics, but, you know, it's. It'll tickle you. I think it's good you're gonna find yourself singing it. My daughter, she was singing it in the back of the car, which is a little inappropriate, but at least it wasn't an AI podcast talking to her. So we're themed. We're legit. We're bonafide now. It's the Trio. I'm Tim Miller. That's Sam Stein. He's the managing editor of the Bulwark. And then, of course, our muse and our inspiration, Will Sommer, author of the False Flag newsletter. Guys, so good to be back with you. I do have to tell you, I'm pretty disappointed that I was on vacation and wasn't able to cover the story of the maga influencer who does the sweatpants and the vaginal lips and she spreads her legs while talking on camera. She's got an. It just feels like I missed some really good stuff there.
B
Hold on. Can you. Can you just sit in her pose for the entirety of this?
A
Now people can see it. I wear shorts on here.
B
Hey, hey.
A
You don't want to see what's happening down there. I'm not confused. All right, there we go. We want to start. Our friend Margie Taylor Greene. Married. She's married. There's nothing I miss. Good for her. Happy for her. It was a Vegas wedding. Unclear if Elvis was the officiant or not, but she is moving on to her next endeavor. Let's watch.
C
Hi, everyone. This is Marjorie Taylor Greene, and I am excited to let you know I am now on cameo. So if you have a special message for a friend or a loved one or. I would love to deliver it for you or any other message for anyone. How do you do it, you ask? You just click on the link and follow the instructions and we'll be on our way.
A
That's thrilling. So are we going to get one for JBL or what?
B
No. I had an idea, though. Well, first of all, I think I know why she's doing this. If you saw the wedding pics, she immediate. She immediately went to the casino afterwards in her wedding dress. I Don't know what games she was playing, but she was clearly gambling. And maybe she lost too much money. But I have an idea. All right, so to the trio listeners and viewers out there, if we can get. What should the benchmark be? 500,000 views on YouTube and maybe 100 new subscribers either on YouTube or Substack. Through this, we will buy a cameo from MTG and we'll play it on the Trio, the next trio recording. That is. That is a promise, or at least as long as MTG allows us to do it. But we will endeavor for it.
A
And we would try to get her to say something a little salty.
D
Well, you know, she was a major early trio character because she figured in Laura Loomer's Arby's in the Pants deposition. So, you know, it would kind of bring it full circle. She would have to weigh in on that.
A
That's great.
B
Why?
A
I forgot about that. Like, the Arby's. What's. Like, we could have included Arby's Big Beef and Cheese in the lyrics of the.
B
Oh, they don't know the full lyrics yet. They don't know the fully.
A
I know, but Arby's Big Beef and Cheese doesn't make it in too bad. Will, where were you when we were brainstorming?
D
I messed it up. I know.
A
All right, I'm looking for pictures of Margie. I see Marjorie in her wedding dress. I don't see her at the craps table.
D
She hit the craps table, which is like, you know, she. What it. She ate. You know, she. She. It's giving mother. It's. It's. It's iconic, you know? You know, people were saying, oh, it's trashy. But I think, like, for your second wedding after, you know, your alleged other affairs, you know, with the. The Street Fighter cosplay guy. Look, I mean, there's no illusions at this point about romance or what, though. I think she and Brian Glenn have a great thing going.
B
Looks like a really nice marriage.
A
People want authenticity. Okay? So. Hey, look, there's nothing wrong with being trashy.

Episode: Drop What You’re Doing Right Now: MTG is on Cameo
Date: August 6, 2026
Hosts: Tim Miller, Sam Stein
Guest: Will Sommer
This episode of The Bulwark’s "Trio" brings together Tim Miller, Sam Stein, and Will Sommer for a lively, satirical discussion on Marjorie Taylor Greene’s latest headline-grabbing moves—her marriage in Las Vegas and her new Cameo account. The conversation is marked by characteristic humor, a bit of gossip, and a recurring theme of internet spectacle as the panel debates public personas, authenticity, and the evolving culture of political celebrity.
Sam Stein throws out an idea to motivate fans:
“If we can get…500,000 views on YouTube and maybe 100 new subscribers either on YouTube or Substack…we will buy a cameo from MTG and we'll play it on the next Trio recording.” (02:31)
The hosts plot how to get MTG to say something “a little salty”—tying it back to the show's irreverent spirit.
Will gives a tongue-in-cheek defense of Greene’s Vegas wedding:
“People were saying, oh, it’s trashy. But I think, for your second wedding after, you know, your alleged other affairs…there’s no illusions at this point about romance.” (03:59)
The episode wraps the segment with an endorsement of “authenticity” over pretense in public personas.
This episode captures The Bulwark’s unique blend of political analysis, pop culture riffing, and unfiltered humor, making it a brisk and entertaining listen even for those only catching the highlights.
