I'm Candy Valentino and thanks for tuning in as we deliver fast, actionable insights that are going to help you break through any barriers that you have in life, in business, and dominate once again. And today, we are talking about something that stops more people in their tracks than any external obstacle. Most more than no's, more than challenges, more than some adversity that throws them off their path. This is the one thing that can be preventing you from actually accomplishing more. And that is mental blocks. We all hit them, we've all had them. It's that voice in your head that says, I don't know what to do. Maybe I'm not good enough. I don't think I'm capable of having that conversation. Or I'm stuck and I don't have the answer. Here's the truth. Mental blocks are not real. They are stories that you've told yourself so many times, over and over again in various degrees that now you believe them. But today, I want to show you exactly how to break through, how to take control of your mind, your decisions, and ultimately your future. So let's get into it. Step one is identifying the root. A mental block is just your brain's way of trying to protect you. Whether that is fear or self doubt or perfection, perfectionism, it all comes from the same place. Your subconscious mind trying to prevent you from failing, from risk. So it tries to keep you safe. More often than not, it's not our reality that's holding us back. It's the fear of what could potentially happen. And once you identify that this isn't reality at all, you take away its power and you get your power back. So questions to ask yourself is, what belief do I have that's keeping me stuck? What broke BS belief do I have that is keeping me stuck right here? What am I afraid of? Because when you can get to the root and identify where this is coming from, you have the ability to take back control. And once you can identify the root, then you can go into step two, which is flipping the script. I talk about this in a variety of different ways on different topics because it's so important to remember that our brain believes what we tell it. So if you keep saying I'm stuck or I don't know what to do, or I'm new at this, so I have no idea. Well, your brain is going to find evidence to confirm that. And instead, if you ask better questions, we will get better answers as our brain sifts and sorts to find those answers for us. So instead, what if we ask. I'll give you two questions that I obsess over all the time. When I am working on a project or a deadline or an acquisition, I always say, how can I make this easier? How can I make this easier? Super simple question, but it is amazing what your brain will help you identify. That is an easier path to what it is that you're working on. And the second is what's one small step I can take right now that will give me the greatest impact. Shifting from I am stuck to what is my next move puts your brain into problem solving mode, which it is really great at. And once you shift into action, you can build momentum. Flipping the script is imperative once you can master that, now we can get into step three, which is taking that action fast. Perfectionism, man. Guys, it is a mental prison. It will keep you stuck, it will keep you stagnant. But the fastest thing to destroy a mental block or some limiting belief that you have is, is to move. Make the call, send the email, put it out there, take the next step, the next action. Because it's in action that we get clarity, it's in movement that we get momentum and clarity, confidence. That's what's going to kill doubt. And that's going to bring us to number four. If you are still struggling, I want you to evaluate your environment. Our mind is a product of our environment. If you are constantly around negative people, negative news, negative distractions, you are reinforcing these mental blocks, taking an audit of your input. What are you watching? What are you listening to? What are you reading? Auditing those that are around you. Who are you surrounding yourself with? Because if everybody is gossiping and talking poorly and all of the problems of the world or the first things that they talk about, it is going to be really difficult to grow. Surrounding yourself with other people who are taking action, who are doing big things, who are making moves, who have momentum. That is a current that you can get caught up in. And if you don't have those people in your life, it's okay. You can listen to podcasts, read books, follow the right people on social media, making sure that you are eliminating distractions. Don't distract yourself with broke people and stop waiting for momentum. Create an environment where action is the only option. And remember, these mental blocks are a figment of your imagination. They're a mirage, an illusion. And the way out is for you to see the root of what they are, to flip the script, to take action and control your environment. And I'll give you one challenge for the day. Do one thing that you've been putting off. Just one. Just do one thing. Take action. Get momentum on one thing, one area. And watch how fast the mental block will disappear. All right, guys, thanks for tuning in and spending this time with me today. We'll see you next time.
