But if you're trying to get out of debt, invest into your business or build your investment portfolio, these marketing tactics can lure you into unnecessary spending. So here's three steps to avoid the spaving trap. Number one, before buying at ask yourself, do I really need this or is this just great marketing? Number two, pause for 24 hours, 48 hours if it's a big purchase, and then go back and reevaluate. Number three, always pause to review your cart. Anything that doesn't feed your financial goals. And a pro tip is to make sure that if you are getting marketing emails from one different and a pro.
