Today's podcast is all about five systems to skyrocket your TPT sales in 2025. We know that a lot of you are here because you enjoy making resources, but also because you need to put some extra change in your pocket. And I hope that today's episode is going to help you do just that. Rick Harshall said, in order for any business to succeed, it must first become a system so that the business functions exactly the same way every time, down to the last detail. And you may have just gotten started and everything's a little bit of a mess. Nothing's organized. Everything is all over the place, from your computer to your home, to your desk at your office to your desk at school. And you don't know what to do with everything. But I hope I'm going to help you get your systems to skyrocket your TPT sales by making a little bit of chaos into order. The first system I want to talk about today is mind mapping. I know you know all about this. You're a teacher and you decided to start selling your teaching resources. So your head's probably spinning with 537 ideas and then all the action you needed to take. Honestly, it becomes like this thing called procrastination paralysis, where you have a whole lot of excitement going on, but no way to actually move. Like, you got so many things you want to do that tackling even one of them might mean that you don't get to do the other. And so you're trying to figure out, like, a good order, and instead of figuring it out, you just get stuck. I saw this thing that Jeff Bezos was saying on Instagram today, and he said, that's true. Stress mostly is just a thing that you should be taking action on, but you're choosing not to. But if you start taking action in the right direction, your stress will start to fade away. So maybe you're stuck. Stuck thinking you want to get everything done, but you just don't have the accountability or the ability to get your mind in the right place. That's what this system, number one is all about. This is what is going to help you take it from your brain and put it down on paper or onto a chart and take massive action. So we call this mind mapping. And it's much, much bigger than a simple brainstorm session. It's a detailed plan to create, innovate, and develop teacher needed resources. We use this strategy to get all of those ideas onto the paper and out of your head, like I said earlier. And since I'm not a fan of when podcasts tell me what I need to do, but don't tell me how to do them. I thought I'd try to give you some to dos while we're together. I know it's hard for you to see what I'm talking about through audio. So if you're looking for even more detail about how to tackle each of these steps steps then remember you can sign up for our free video event Casey morris.com video and it's called sell your teaching resources video event. But I'll help you get all of these ideas and put them on paper. But one way we use mind mapping is that I show teachers, I ask them to create four main pillars of things that they're interested in. And it could be anything from interactive notebooks to gardening to science social studies. And then we break that down into much smaller digestible pieces. And then from there we come up with different categories. And our categories then will allow us to create products in the first 30 minutes of our programs. You can really just see an entire year worth of ideas mapped out for you step by step. And it's one of those things where it's just so refreshing in the first 30 minutes. Oh, I can just figure out, I know exactly what I can create for the next year. You should never run out of ideas of things to create. Maybe you're going to get stuck because you don't know what to name them or how you're going to get them to sell. But you should never run out of ideas if you utilize system number one, which is mind mapping. System number two, my personal fave is templates. Now, templates prevent mistakes by enforcing consistent essential content. Templates are a framework of elements required to be present to complete a teacher's pay teachers product. So essentially, they make turning out product after product a breeze. By easily replicating product lines and just products in general, they encourage repeatability and efficiency. So creating a template or using something that someone has already created, it will allow you to streamline all of your products so that they look similar for branding purposes and you can turn them out much faster than ever before. So instead of focusing on content and completing tasks, they will allow you to keep your brand consistent. You'll make a lot less mistakes if you go ahead and create like let's say a 20 page template for a resource and just reuse it over over and over again. That'll help you get to where you're going faster. All right. System number three is support. So I said that templates were my favorite, but I think that the best system here is support. We all need a support system. We need somebody to talk to, whether it's at home or on the phone. And sometimes this world of selling your teaching resources is lonely because you don't really know a lot of people that can relate. And before I had the vision of the CEO teacher community, I didn't have anywhere that I could just show up each week and be coached or get to talk to mentors or friends. I, I was a member of a few TPT Facebook groups, and there's still a lot of those out there. For me, they are a breeding ground of negative Nancy's and sellers that just enjoy putting other people down. And I was like, I don't, I don't want that. I don't want to be around people that make me feel less than. So I decided to just try to start bringing people together and work on keeping things positive as possible so that we're here for work and we can get as much done as possible. And I started a YouTube channel back then, not realizing that in 2015 that would be where most people found me. And that actually is probably the reason why the CEO teacher now is what it is. I want you to ask yourself, why are you doing this? And I want you to write it down on a sticky note. And I hope that it's something that motivates you and encourages you. And I hope that you find people that will help you make really good decisions for the educational needs of teachers, students, and parents around the world. System number four is checklist. And in the same token as support, checklists can be effective in boosting your TPT sales and they go hand in hand with your templates and support. So from checking off how to upload a TPT product, from start to finish, to polishing your blog post, I am a checklist fanatic. I use my notes app whenever I go to the grocery store because I can hit the little bubbles and it checks things off. We use Asana for our team here and it helps us know what we need to do next. And the best part about checking things off of that checklist is that unicorns fly across the screen. It's amazing. But making a checklist, some people like to call it a to do list, but really understanding how to prioritize the most important thing. Dr. Stephen Covey in the book Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, says, put first things first and really figuring out what should become first in your life will help you prioritize the things on your checklist or quote unquote, to do list so so that you can get them done faster than before. And then make sure you only make it long enough to where you can get things done every single day and then create a new one for tomorrow. If not, it's going to feel overwhelming to see 150 things on your to do list. And then finally, system number five is data analysis. If you are an English teacher or are an English teacher, you may hate this one, but it's certainly not least. Our data analysis tools help us figure out what we could do better. Like our TPT Dashboard, it allows us to see conversion rates, views, purchases, and so much more. But dissecting those into real numbers that help move the needle forward is always the tricky part. From Google Analytics to blog views to understanding when you utilize SEO, what's working and what just makes you excited to post about what we want to do. Our goal is to help marry those two things together. Figure out what's working in the online space today and what just makes you excited to post. And if you can find something that's working and that makes you excited, you're going to have a lot easier time building this business. With data analysis, it's important to track keywords. We're talking all about that in our video series that starts on Friday, and we can easily see what's worth your time to increase your sales and what isn't. One of the most important modules inside of our membership is all about Search Engine optimization. We like to call it Willy Wonka's Golden Ticket and I'm giving you a sneak peek on what that looks like in a few days for our video event. Again, like I said, but SEO is basically just the key that will take your business from a couple hundred dollars to to over $10,000 a month. It's everything. What I want for you is to speak with authority and figure out exactly how to use keywords to help your resources rank higher, and then how to use something we like to call a scorecard to keep track of it every single month so that you can help your resources move up when they need to or get a little extra boost. Here's a quick bonus system for you. One question teachers subconsciously ask themselves before making a purchase. Is this. Will this make my life easier as a teacher? And if the answer is a resounding yes, they will undoubtedly purchase. So ask yourself these questions. Did you go the extra mile, such as did you hyperlink and market maybe three relatable products that teachers would love on your Terms of Use page inside of your product? Did you create a table of contents for your products and link all of the pages there so they can easily click and find precisely what they want instead of having to scroll through pages and pages. Did you take the time to create colored and black and white versions of your resources so the teachers could show them on the board for beautiful colors or the students can write on them when they're black and white? And did you include detailed lesson plans and differentiated learning activities that appeal to all students? Remember, teachers love when people give more value and more bang for your buck, so don't be afraid to go extra when selling on teachers. Pay teachers As a quick reminder, if you want to know how behind tackling these steps, especially SEO, be sure to save your spot in the Sell your teaching resources video event. It's happening for only four days and it starts on the 21st. It'll come right to your inbox if you go ahead and register now@casey morris.com video. As always, remember, your best is yet to come. I hope you enjoyed these five systems to skyrocket your TPT sales and I'll see you right here next.
