Hello CEO Teachers. Welcome back to the CEO Teacher Podcast. So very blessed to be here today and I feel like it is a new beginning. I live for total teacher transformations and for some reason I'm showing up here today because I feel like it's a new beginning. Maybe for you, maybe for someone in your family. For me, something just feels right about this new air that we breathe and the new opportunities that are here for teachers. And I want to start. You know, I am with a quote. The less I work, the more I make. I heard James Wedmore say that at a Kajabi conference on stage and I'll admit I kind of looked around at the audience to see if people agreed with this statement while I internally rolled my eyes. I came from a lower class blue collar family. My daddy worked 80 hours most weeks in a pressed white shirt, board straight tie, one nice coat and I watched him polish his shoes every single night when he walked into the door as my mom cooked dinner and we watched Wheel of Fortune and then Jeopardy. He was gone before the sun came up and he was home just in time for dinner every night. Some days he was soaked head to toe from sweat as he walked door to door selling life insurance, while other days he was so stressed that he didn't say a word at dinner because he was managing a large office full of employees. Either way, it was instilled in my belief system since I was a little girl. The more I work, the more money I make. My mom had wanted to be a stay at home mom her entire life. She referred to it as her dream job. Me, on the other hand, I love all my kids. Goodness, I love them. But a stay at home mom is not my life's work. I am a better mama because I work, but I say that word lightly these days because I work. Do what you love and call it work. That's the secret to life. So how can you attract multiple streams of income with the idea of less work and more play? How can you have time with your kids, with your animals, with nature, with someone that you love, heck, even have time alone to nurture your physical, spiritual and emotional side of life? I want to help you set out on a mission as a teacher to attract anything that you want. And before you assume that this is going to be another podcast on manifesting, I just want to say that it's not. I say that word lightly because it's so hot right now in today's terminology, and I think it has so many loaded beating. But in this podcast we are going to talk about attracting income and fixing your mindset. From the harder I work, the more money I make to the less I work, the more I make. These are secrets that took me years and years to find and all of it is coming your way in the next few minutes, so stick around. Welcome to the CEO Teacher where educators turn what they already know and love into a successful and sustainable online business with actionable strategies, simple business tips and mindset shifts. It's a weekly lesson plan for teacher business owners whether you're teaching full time in the classroom or rocking the small business from home life. I'm your host, Casey Morris, a former Georgia English teacher, mom at a four turned seven figure online teacher, business owner and founder of the CEO Teacher Movement. Three teaching degrees got me a few extra bucks each year, but what I will show you will help you make that every single month. If you have a heart for education and a passion to use your experience to help more teachers and families, you belong here. I want to be very clear here because I will undoubtedly receive emails and direct messages about this very topic. I am a woman of faith. I believe in God and I do also believe that we get to create the life of our future. That does not mean that I believe that I am in any way trying to play God or believe that I can make the world do as I wish. Instead, I believe that if you fix your mind, your energy and your heart on something, you can achieve it. With God's help, I get to be, do and have anything my heart desires. What is not for me will not come my way. What is intended for me will will always find its way back. Every moment of my life has led me to believe that this is true, that this moment was meant for me. My life's work. It hasn't always been crystal clear. It's taken years, heck, nearly a decade to finally get here. But here is where you might get stuck and where I think a lot of teachers get stuck in a vortex of negative thinking, negative doing, and ultimately negative having. Teachers are trained to think that there is only one way. It's 180 day cycle, right? It's teaching, it's earning your state pay, your salary. It's summer vacation. As a teacher, we don't get into the details of attracting often because we don't have time to think about ourselves. We're spending our days thinking about our students, our schools, our administrators, our lessons, our own families when we do have extra time and more. But you're here. You're here right now. You're listening to this show and I want to give you 10 ways that you can as a teacher attract more money, more income, with less work and more play. Meaning as James Wedmore once said, you can teacher work less and you can make more. Now disclaimer. I do have amazing opportunities in life and I have had the chance to meet and speak with James Wedmore on numerous occasions, but I have never taken one of his programs and I have never been in his mastermind. I think he is a brilliant man, but I am not regurgitating things that he has taught me and I have not learned from him one on one specifically. So just wanted to make that very clear. I have spoken with him in social settings. We have chatted with acquaintances in small rooms, but we have never actually had like one on one trainings and I have not been in his program. So if you take one of his programs and you take my programs, you may say, hey, you said this and James said this. And I totally understand because we are different people and we all have different ways of teaching our concepts. So let's get into those 10 things really quick. Number one is let go of lack and bring in abundance. But what does that really mean? Kasey, I wanted to give you some real world teacher examples here to help you focus in more on what I'm saying and how to let go of lack and bring in abundance. So believing you can't afford certain things like clothes, cars, homes and anything else. I have some people that no matter what it is, they can share anything. Maybe it's on TikTok or maybe it's something they sell on Amazon. They will instantly say, that's too much money. I can't afford it without even like engaging or just just chatting about it like it's a playful thing. And I'm not talking about expensive designer purses. I don't even own anything like that. I'm talking about basic, simple things that we would buy for like our kids or to cook with something just super simple and basic. You cannot say to yourself, I can't afford that. If you instantly look at it, you're thinking, I don't need that. I can't afford it. In that mindset, then you are focused in on the wrong thing. If you're checking your bank account constantly and thinking of new ways to save money, but not in a productive way, in a stressful way that is frantically making you think of selling all the things in your home and living in a one bedroom trailer just so you can have extra money. I've been there. I've been that girl that believed that I needed to live in a tiny home just so I didn't have any bills, because my bills stressed me out and I didn't have any money in the bank. But I was focused in on the wrong things. There's nothing wrong with living in tiny homes, by the way. I still have a dream of living there when all my kids are grown. But you can't sit there and think in your head, the only reason I want this is because I need to let go of all these other things that I have because I can't afford them. If you're restricting food so much that you have a negative relationship with food, you are focused in on lack. If you're saying, I can't have chocolate, that's too many calories, I can't eat ice cream, that's too many calories, you are focused in on the wrong thing. You're. You're developing your negative relationship with food. I don't limit any food at all. If I want chocolate, I eat chocolate. If I want ice cream, I eat ice cream. Now I do so in moderation. And I don't always say I want that every single day. But I have to limit the way that I think about ice cream. Ice cream brings moments with my kids. It's fun. We can go get it after school and we can talk about our day. It's not a, I'm going to gorge after I eat dinner and eat a whole, you know, four bowls of ice cream. I think about it in a beautiful way, in an abundant way of a way that I develop relationships with my kids. So stop restricting food so much that you develop negative emotions with them. You may be thinking things like things are going so right, I know they're going to just bomb soon. And I cannot even begin to tell you how much my mindset was on that. In 2018, 2019, I got pregnant for the first time. After trying for eight years. I quit my teaching job. I was making six figures. I sold a course that made six figures in seven days. And I told my husband on the daily, I told James Wedmore, my life is perfect, it's gonna fall. You cannot be this happy all the time. You cannot have everything going your way all the time. And I was completely self sabotaging my success. I believed that I was not worthy of this. And because I did, I fell into that trap for a little while until I started digging myself out. So instead of focusing on those things, let's talk about how to use daily things to help you rewire your focus on abundance. Focus in on being grateful for the small things in your life like the blades of grass that you're stepping on, the clouds in the sky, the leaves in the trees, the birds in your view, your baby's smiles, the flare pins you're riding with, the lemon that you squeezed in your water, the garden that you're working on, and anything else that brings you joy. Now I just shared things that bring me joy, minus flare pins. I'm not totally obsessed with them as much as some people are, but I do enjoy all of those things. Think about them as you engage with them. As you move into your day to day, think about all the things that you're grateful for. Thinking of ways to help benefit others is another way to focus on an abundance mindset. How can I do this for someone else? How can I make their day better? How can I ensure that the last day of school is the best day of school? Seeing that anything is possible is really how you focus in on abundance. If you desire a new home in a market that is today, you can focus in on lack. There's not enough homes, I don't have enough money. I'm not going to be able to put in enough bids. If you desire a new home, think this statement over and over again. I believe my desires will come sooner than I think. And I say that to myself so often. We're finalizing our debt free plan. We just have left to pay off our mortgage, which is. I don't. I know I say that a lot but I want to say it again. Thank you, each and every one of you for being here because I could never have done this without you. But we are finalizing, trying to figure out how we're going to pay off our mortgage. And we have a set amount of time. We have the date on the calendar, it's on the refrigerator of when the house will be paid off. But I hate due dates because it's focused in on lack. I can only pay this house off because I'm going to do this until this day. I hate that. And I told him I'm putting this due date on the on the calendar. Here's when the house will be paid off, here's what we're paying each month. But I just want you to know that I'm just saying this lightly because this will come sooner than we think. This will be sooner than this plan. We will do this sooner than we think. And he just smiled and he said, I know. And I thought, man, oh that's such a good feeling. I used to say Those things. And I'm like, don't roll your eyes at me. Don't make. Don't laugh at me. And now when I say it, he's like, I know if you say it and you believe it, it's going to happen. So, yes, that due date is on our refrigerator, but I know that it'll happen sooner than we think. I have to prepare. I have to make a plan, which I encourage you to do. But please also know that when you believe it, you can achieve it. And if you believe that the happiness that you want, the job that you need, the home that you desire, will happen sooner than you think, it undoubtedly will. Number two on steps that I want you to take as a teacher to attract more income with less work and more play is listen for the clues. I want you to ask for them and listen. I believe God sends signs. Some people in the woo woo space call them spirit guides. I don't love that term. So I call them angels. And I see them in every moment of every day. Some things that I believe are sent to me as signs of affirmation that I'm on the right track. But make no mistake, humans are angels here on earth as well. And listen to the conversations that you have with people. I believe God puts people in my life on the days that I need them most to say the things that I need to hear. And I remember some of the things that they say, and I say them over and over and over again because we are entertaining angels without even knowing it. So not just people, but also other things. What other clues is God trying to send you for me? It's doves, it's bees, it's rainbows, it's butterflies. And I've seen doves, bees, rainbows, and butterflies, butterflies in the last 24 hours, more than I have seen them in a long time. So that's why I truly believe we're in a monumental moment right now. And I'm feeling so good about it. While working in my garden the other day and watching my baby girl pull up, scoot next to me, I asked out loud, when was the last time you did this? I asked out loud. I said, God, hey, could you send me a sign? Could you send me a clue, an angel, something that says that this garden right here, this happy moment I'm having with my daughter is the answer to life's happiness, that somehow, some way, I can make this garden sustain success, that I can sustain this happiness forever. And even though I have no idea what that means, God, I just want a sign And I kid you not, in three seconds, I heard a dove making the noise that the morning dove makes if you've never heard it before. It's kind of like an owl. It's like this. Who? It's very. It's very interesting. And I started laughing, and I started crying instantly. And I said out loud, I said, God, that was. That was. That was a little creepy. That was way quicker than I thought. So I'm not sure if you meant that for me or if that was just a coincidence. So I'm going to walk around the yard and pick up my girl said this out loud. And if I see the dove, I'll know that you meant it for it to be me. And I kid you not, I put that baby on my hip. I walked around a tree, and I saw the dove sitting on the power line right in front of me, and I cried. I cried, like, a lot. And I just said, okay, I hear you. I'm listening. So even if you think that this is silly, start practicing it. Start asking for clues, for signs, for angels, whatever you want. If you think about it, ask it, and you will receive it. But you have to believe it. If you don't believe it, it's not ever going to happen. You're going to think, kasey, you're crazy. And I might be. I might be a little crazy, but I know that that moment happened. And I know that I stood in my yard without any shoes on with my baby girl on my hip, and I cried because I asked God for a sign that this was the answer to life's happiness. And I got it. I got it clear as day, not once, but twice. So listen for the clues. And that is a way that you can attract more income with less work and more play. Now, I don't know if I'm supposed to monetize my garden. I don't know what that means, but we're going to roll with it. Number three is set your intention. Figure out what you want. Do you want to leave the classroom teacher? Do you want to work part time, share a contract? Do you want to work from home and still be a teacher? Do you want to stay in the classroom but find joy again? What do you want? Set your intention, write it down today and say it over and over again to yourself to attract more income into your life? I don't mean just money, intentions. I mean, what do you want in life? What brings you joy? What makes you happy? There was a time where I couldn't tell you that. I don't know what Brings me joy. I don't have any hobbies. Nothing makes me happy. I've been that girl. So you have to work on that desire. You have to say, today I choose not to feel less than and to feel like. And that's what number four is all about, is that you may not feel like you know what brings you joy or you know how to be happy, but replace toxicity in anything with clean and clear expectations. And that's how you're going to move step by step in the right direction. Do this in life, in your relationships, at work, in your faith, with your food, with exercise, with happiness. Remove toxicity. Being clean and clear with yourself and your expectations is how you get to attract more income. So here's what that looks like. I will live a happy and abundant life that leaves me with no stress and beautiful moments each day. Well, how do I do that? I'm going to find them in small things. I'm going to say that it's the end of school and my hair is about to fall out. But make no mistake, I'm going to have a good day. I will find good relationships that inspire me and uplift me and I will walk away from those that don't. So if I have a friend that messages me and it's always negative, I'll wait 24 hours or 48 hours before I respond back. If I have a teacher that comes in my classroom and complains, I will not engage with them. I will listen and I will put a shell around myself and I will say, their negative energy does not affect me. I will listen and I will shake my head and say, ah, I hate that for you, or I'm sorry that happened to you. But I will not allow their energy to control my mood and my emotions. I will find a church that supports me and allows me to feel confident in my faith. It may be a small, teeny, tiny church that's not a big mega church, but I will find a pastor that understands me, that guides me, that helps me along on my faith journey. I will grow and find foods that fuel my life with a healthy lifestyle. I will not look at food as the enemy anymore, but I will also not put bad foods in my body so that I feel better. I'll do exercises that challenge me to be better every day, even if I really suck at it, like CrossFit. I'm going to get out there and just do it and go for it. I will find happiness in every single hour of every single day. So if an hour is going bad and I have one minute left in that hour. I will do something quickly to turn that around. So you must set your intention for the day. But as you do that, you can't necessarily go from a negative life to a positive one overnight. You have to work on these things every single day. And I just want you to be 1% better than you were yesterday. Number five on how to attract more income with less work and more play is to work on your worthiness. You are worthy of this, teacher. You are worthy of happiness. You aren't supposed to live your days filled with anxiety or fear. You aren't supposed to be constantly wishing there was a way out. You are worthy of whatever your heart desires, Teacher. Guilt hits us in so many ways, but this is something I take very seriously. What if you are working for a job that would forget who you were tomorrow if you decided to walk away? I know that it feels like they can't do it without us, but everyone can be replaced. And when I left the classroom, it was hard those first few years, seeing the students that I left and seeing the teachers that I worked with. And now when I go back to the school that my children now attend, I don't think people even know that I used to work there. I mean, I talk to everyone. I'm like, hey, it's so good to see you. I hope things are going well. But no one says, do you miss being here anymore? They used to, you know, how's life going? No one asked me those questions because I think that they genuinely forgot that I used to work there. And that's okay. I used to think that that was my. My identity and who I was. And I don't want you to walk away, truth be heard. But I also want you to be happy, and I want you to stay because you believe in education and you believe that you help beautiful humans on this earth that are your students. Is it going to be tough? Yes. But you can also do it on your own terms. So if you're not happy in a school building, you can leave, and they won't even miss you in a few years. But you know what's so cool is that you can be happier than you ever were as a teacher. You're not leaving it behind. You're just changing directions, Feeling it. I'm feeling it, guys. Okay, number six is find inspiration. Who inspires you? Listen to them. Indulge yourself in learning from them, and to find your joy. I used to skip from person to person, from guide to guide, from book to book. And now when I like someone, I Go all in. I love Gabby Bernstein. Read all of her books. I just gorged myself on all things Gabby Bernstein. So when you find someone that you like, that you trust, that you believe in, start going all in with that person. Don't say, I'm going to choose this, this, and this, and then I'm going to move on to someone else. Because when you do that, you don't do anything well. You just do everything Pretty mediocre. And if want to do things well, find someone or something that gives you inspiration and go all in. Number seven is develop your passion. I did some steps on my TikTok this week. You can find me at Casey Morris. Go check us out on TikTok. We just hit 11,000 followers. What? In two weeks, we have doubled our TikTok followers despite posting twice a day, which is really, really cool and super stoked about it. But. But develop your passion. And it's going to take time. You're not going to know instantly, but on that TikTok that I recorded this week, I talk about how to figure out what you need to make money this summer with as a teacher. So the steps that I give are find three things that other teachers come to your classroom and ask you about, or find three things that bring you joy in the classroom and then I give you how to break that down so that you can make money from that in the summer. Now you can check that out on TikTok. Remember, by just going to Casey Morris and develop your passion, because when you do that, you'll be able to make money and attract things that you want. But you have to know what your passion is. Remember, you may not know what you want to do in life, and that's okay. Number eight, what you appreciate, appreciates. And that goes back to being thankful for all of the little things in life. But the more you can appreciate things, the more that they will appreciate you back. So if you want to do the gratitude journaling, you can. I cannot commit to journaling, guys. I'm just not going to do it. I had a guy at CVS when I checked out the other day buying a gratitude journal. It was a couple months ago. I was at the self checkout, so no one was supposed to be helping me. And the guy walks up, literally works there, works up from behind the thing and he sees me swiping this journal and he said, oh, are you buying a journal that you're never gonna write in? And I, like looked at him sideways and I said, excuse me. He said, I do it all the time. You're buying that journal with all of those pages in there, but you're never actually gonna write in it, right? And I started laughing, and I was like, well, he said, have you ever written one before? And I was like, no. And he said, I felt victimized. He said, then you're not going to write in that one either. And I said, you know what? Just because you said that, I am going to do it. I'm going to do it because I am in a mood to be thankful and to gratitude journal every day. He said, you're not going to do it. And I laughed. I got in the car, I called my mom. I said, you're not going to believe what this dude just said to me. He just told me that I'm not going to gratitude journal when he. He doesn't even know me. He just walked up to me, and my mom said, you're not going to do it. And I was so spiteful that I did it for, like, three days just because. And you know what? I'm looking at it right now in my purse, and I haven't written it in again. And I realized that it's okay. I don't. I'm not a gratitude journaler. I'm not a journaler, period. I'm not a paper planner person anymore. I do everything digitally, and I can do things in my mind that are just as special because what you appreciate, appreciates, whether you write it down or you say it out loud or you feel it in your bones. Stop making things so difficult. You don't have to write in that gratitude journal. Stop. Stop buying them. Stop spending all your money, because you're not going to write in them anyways unless you are that person. But I am not. I'm not that person. But remember what you apprec. Appreciates, number nine. Simple and so effective. What you focus on, you get more of. I hear people talk about sickness a lot. I hear people talk about car accidents or someone's child being sick or, you know, cancer. And I refuse to focus on it. I say a prayer for the families. I think about their loved ones, but I don't play it in my mind over and over and over again. What's happening in the world with war and with poverty. I watch for a second when I see it in a news article or I see it on television. I say a prayer and I move on with my day. Because what you focus on, you get more of. I listened to someone that will remain nameless. He's been in about four car accidents over the Last couple of years. And he said, I just have a black cloud that follows me everywhere. Literally put the shield up. And I said, what you focus on, you get more of. And he was like, well, it's true. And he said, I just. Everything that happens to me just. I get all the bad, it just keeps coming. I've been in four accidents in the last few years. I didn't say that again. What you focus on, you get more of. But I thought to myself, wow, how. How. How telling is this? How can we focus in on more good and get more of that? Now, I'm not saying that you won't have things in life that happen, that you won't be faced with loved ones that are sick or you won't have an accident. Yes, all of those things still happen, happen, but you cannot focus in on them. You have to say that the sweet isn't as sweet without the sour, and that life is meant to be played in seasons and that this may be a season where things aren't going great, but you will not focus on that. You will focus on when things will be great again. Life is not always going to be perfect. And I don't want you to think that my life is always perfect by listening to these things. I want you to know that I do believe that life is played in seasons. And right now, I'm going through a very tough season in life with family members that are sick. But I don't focus in on their sickness. I focus in on their life and the beauty that it has been. And I go spend time with them, and I love them and I listen to them and I learn from them. But I also don't believe that life ends when your physical body dies. And that is a really cool thing to know that this is just the beginning, too, of what we have is more. So much more than what is here on this earth. Okay. And then finally, number 10, what you want will find its way to you. And I touched on that at the beginning. But the more you focus in on the good, know that what is meant for you will find its way to you, and what is not meant for you will not. But you have to focus in on the good so that it can find its way to you. Thank you guys so much for being a listener of the CEO Teacher podcast.
