That's K A Y S E M O r r I s.com quiz in case we don't know each other yet, I'm Casey. I just wanted to introduce myself. I am the Go to girl for turning any teaching magic into money making opportunities. And today we're div diving headfirst into a hot marketing trend that you simply can't ignore as a teacher. Every teacher in the world can be an influencer marketing expert. But don't worry, we're keeping it real, relatable and totally tech friendly. And I want to tell you that if you're inside of our membership, we have a really special treat for you. We are going to start going live on Wednesday mornings where we can talk to you guys all about what the podcast is about and take a little bit of a deeper dive inside of our CEO Teacher Membership Facebook group. That's right. We brought it back. We raised it from the dead and decided that our community off of Facebook was just not as engaged and not as much fun and we didn't get to see each other and talk and that's not what we wanted so we headed on back to the CEO Teacher membership Facebook group and I'll be going live if you're listening to this in real time on Wednesday morning, June 25th. So I hope to see you there. But let's talk about influencer marketing real quick. Why choose influencer marketing? It's just easy. If I had to give the best scenario, just the simple button. For example, I do not consider myself an influencer at all, but it's just too easy not to grab links for things and to share what you are already doing, even if you're not talking about it. Today I did some stories. I always have people ask about my earrings. They're super cheap on Amazon. It comes with like a 10 pack and they're like 13.99. And so if anyone ever ask, I say, sure, I'm going to put it on my stories and then I just ling my earrings and I get paid for it. It's super easy and everyone should do it. But that's just the basics of influencer marketing. There are so many things you can do as a teacher. And here's the scoop. Influencer marketing. It isn't just reserved for important people that you would look at and go, oh, they're definitely an influencer. It doesn't have to be a celebrity or someone viral on TikTok. The real magic right now is happening with what they call micro influen. We've done a little bit of talking about this on the show before, but micro influencers are exactly real teachers just like you, who have engaged communities that trust their every recommendation, whether that's a couple hundred followers or even thousands of followers. They may just have a few dozen followers, but the relationship that they've cultivated with those followers is golden. And guess what? You can tap into this gold mine and skyrocket your business with some extra money. We love multiple streams of revenue over here, so make sure you're getting revenue in from as many places as you possibly can. So you know we love a step by step one, two, three, ABC on the CEO Teacher podcast. So let's get into step one, Finding the perfect partners. Now I mentioned before that it could be something as easy as just sharing Amazon links. But the truth is, is that the money from Amazon affiliate marketing is not what it used to be unless you have a significant following. So what I want you to think about as a teacher, in the classroom or even out of the classroom is how could you find the perfect partner? First things first. Your influencer besties need to align perfectly with your brand and Your audience. So the first thing that you can do if you're deciding you want to make this an extra stream of revenue for you, is to identify your audience's favorite hangouts. So the way you could do this is check Instagram hashtags relevant to your niche like hashtag Middle school Science or Hashtag Teacher Life. Then you can head on over to Pinterest and explore Pinterest and see where your audience saves ideas such as classroom decor, lesson plans, STEM activities. You could also join an active Facebook group. One of my favorite ways to do this where teachers discuss their daily struggles, their needs and their favorite resources such as Middle School Teachers Unite or Science teacher Collaboration. The next thing inside of step one is that you want to look for micro influencers who are common to you and share your values, your teaching style and have your target marketing. So you're going to browse through those posts, those hashtags, videos, reels, comments to gauge influencers personalities, teaching approaches and audience engagement. Ensure their content and value aligns closely with your brand and vision and send them a message like hey, I'm a middle school science teacher and I'm thinking about partnering with a STEM focused educational influencer like Blank. And this person regularly shares hands on experiments and has an audience of enthusiastic, engaged middle school teachers and parents. So what you could do is collaborate with other teachers to find perfect partners together because there is power in numbers. I used to do this all the time with our YouTube teaching community. We would get together and do Christmas opening gifts and we would have different companies donate gifts to us and then that most of them would give us the gifts for free as well. But being able to sell those gifts also brought us in some revenue. So action tip. I want you to jot down at least five potential people or influencers whose vibe matches your brand that you could collaborate with as an influencer. Step 2 let's talk about the art of a pitch. So I want to get real. No one loves spammy copy paste pitches or reaching out to people. If you have no following, it's going to be near impossible to get a company to sponsor you. That's why you need to have a partner or a group of people, people to collaborate with first. And influencer marketing thrives on genuine connection. So if you are wanting to nail your outreach, you have to have the art of the pitch. And one way that you pitch to people is by personalizing it. Referencing specific posts or videos that they've created that you love and genuinely compliment them. Mention how their content aligns exactly with your teaching philosophy by XYZ and how it has positively impacted you or your students, clearly outline what's in it for them. Dr. Stephen Covey, in the book of Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, talks about a win win situation and you have to both have a mutually beneficial part in a relationship. Highlight how the partner will introduce them to your audience and expand their reach. How it'll help them too, and it'll help them gain additional resources or financial compensation. Be clear about potential growth opportunities and exposure that they'll receive from your collaboration as well as keep it concise, friendly and direct. Respect their time. Be brief. I know teachers like to talk, but try to be brief. Maintain a friendly tone and imagine that you're reaching out to a friend rather than a business contact. So here's an example hey Influencer's name I love your recent video about engaging STEM experiments and your approach makes science so accessible and fun. I'm launching a resource pack that I think your audience would truly appreciate. I'd love for you to explore ways that we could collaborate so to mutually benefit both of our communities. Would you be open to chatting more? I would personally send that as a voice message on Instagram. Step 3 Building mutually beneficial partnerships Remember, partnerships are a two way street and here's how you nurture them. Offer valuable compensation. It could be financial, resource based or reciprocal promotion. Offer them clear communication. Set expectations upfront about deliverables, timelines and content formats and then let them know that this is an ongoing relationship where you can share their content, show gratitude publicly, and genuinely support their growth too. I've been friends with some people in this business now for 11 years and it's just a feel good feeling to be able to highlight a successful teacher or their partnership or know that you can always count on them if you need them. Step 4 let's talk about how you measure if it's a win if you're successful or not. How do you know if it's working well? There are always key metrics that you can track, trackable links and discount codes. You can use tools like bit ly.com or custom utms on teachers, pay teachers and see exactly where your clicks from the collaboration are coming from. You can create personalized discount codes for influencers to offer their followers, allowing you to directly attribute sales and conversions to specific partnerships. Also look at engagement rates, likes, comments, shares, DMs and monitor how followers interact with content promoted by influencers. High engagement such as thoughtful comments, genuine shares and active DMs often indicate deep audience resonance and increased likelihood of conversion, follower growth and direct feedback. Regularly check in your social media analytics to see if influencer partnerships lead spikes in new followers, and seek direct feedback through surveys, polls, or conversations to understand how the influencer's audience perceives your brand and offerings. Real talk not every partnership will hit it out of the park, and that's okay. Test, tweak and try it again. Well, if you're inside our communities, I can't wait to chat with you on Wednesday morning. All about some more influencer marketing tips to help you get started inside of building partnerships and promotions. And as always, remember, your best is yet to come. I'll see you right back here next week, friends. It.
